(00:26):
What's up, everybody. Welcome toanother Friday night. Welcome. The bar
is now open. I love it. Oh my goodness, excuse my enthusiasm
because I am actually this week hasbeen a little rough. I did a
little bit too much work um oncertain projects, and my back is killing
(00:51):
me. I've been in pain forthe last couple of days. So I'm
actually on a mixture of pain pillsand alcohol. So I'm hoping the alcohol
will emphasize or enhance the pain pillseffectiveness on me. So we'll see.
If I appear a little stiff today, that's why, because it's a little
(01:15):
hard to move and get up andand all that stuff. But I'm gonna
power through it because the show mustgo on. Right. How are you
doing? Let's see, Kathy,j D. Thanks for the Halloween card.
J D appreciate it. Got it. Stacy? Hi, how you
doing? First and foremost, whileI'm reading the rules, tell me what
(01:40):
are you guys drinking? Where you'refrom? And I'll get over the rules.
Let's oh, let's see. Dadsays, but will they make you
clairvoyant? No, they will giveme insight, Hey, Dave, Hey,
don Yes. Usually when I feelgood, M high on stuff,
you know, because of different stuff, I usually get a lot of good
(02:05):
ideas, so I might actually stopin the middle and just write stuff down,
depending on how how great I feel. Anyway, So the rules,
the basic rules for those who donot know, maybe this is your first
time stopping by. We are streamingfirst and foremost. We are streaming on
WLFA dB radio network. We arestreaming on I am Kenny Biddle, and
(02:25):
of course on my own personal pageon Facebook. But the rules number one,
number one, this is open toparanormal related questions. In return,
I give you my skeptical opinion ofthings. Yeah, basically, yeah,
that's it. You ask me questionsabout paranormal stuff, whatever it could be,
(02:46):
and we talk about it. Rulenumber two is that I don't know
everything, so don't expect me tom if if if there I know there's
a few people and I've seen itbefore where you play stumped the skeptic doesn't
really work because I mean it's itwon't be too hard to stop me because
I don't know everything. But Iwill open up a screen I have screened
(03:07):
over here where I can look upstuff and we can talk about it.
And rule number three let's be likePatrick Sweezy, Let's be nice, Let's
let's not fight. Let's have opendiscussions, friendly discussions about these topics,
because it can get heated when itgoes into people's beliefs and like their core
(03:28):
beliefs and how they go about everyday. So you know, sometimes it
gets a little intense. Let's rememberto keep it, keep it professional,
and just talk about this thing thesethings. So there you go. I
also have a suggestion I want totry tonight that if because I love I
love actually seeing the conversations that getstarted in the chat room. I absolutely
(03:50):
love it, and I encourage it. I want that to continue. However,
it would help, like if youhave a question directly for me,
gas to do with the theme oryou know, anything else. If you
have a question directly for me,could you put question at the beginning of
your comment and then type out yourquestion, because that would actually help me
(04:13):
as I'm going through because you guysknow when you watch, like I get
behind on the comments and it wouldactually help me to skip over some of
the conversations that you guys are havingamongst yourselves and get to some of the
questions. So so tonight's theme.Tonight's theme is Psychics and Mediums. Hey
Carol, how are you doing? So we're gonna talk about this. We're
(04:34):
gonna revisit this topic. We didtalk about this when Mark Edward was on
a few weeks back, which wasnice. It was It was good because
Mark Edward is a professional mentalist,and I mean he's done that. He's
run the game, and he's workedfor the Psychic Friends Network. He worked
for so many different places doing thesethese kind of shows. So it's cool
(04:55):
to get insight from somebody like him, Um, professionals that's been doing it
for decades, like literally decades.Oh. By the way, um,
I am drinking My specialty has hazelnutrum in it. Courtesy of Linda Atward
from White Hill mentioned my friend Lindawho went down She went over to Kentucky.
(05:21):
I believe it was Kentucky. Theywent out there for like a vacation
and brought home like like two thousandbottles of different rum and moonshine and stuff.
And she picked me up a bottleof hazel nut rum, which I've
never had before. Hey Bob,good to see you. Danne. Hey
you doing am I saying? Isit Dan or Dan, let me know,
(05:45):
is it one or two? Danor Danne? Because I want to
make sure I'm saying your name rightbecause I hate when I when I screw
that up. Stacy is now atop fan. Awesome. I love that,
all right. So if you guyshave questions, please put them in
there. I see JD has one. I'm gonna get to that in a
second. But again, if youhave a question directly for me, please
(06:06):
put question first, like, typethat out and then type your question,
and then I'll be able to gothrough the comments and get to them real
quick. So let's see, I'mgonna go jump right into JD's first question
here. Let's see, he says, tell us about the first time you
went to visit a psychic. You'vegone to several. I believe I myself
have not where you skeptical on yourfirst visit. So no, oh,
(06:30):
Busto Williams. Damn, that's anawesome name. So my first my first
psychic reading, I honestly don't rememberwhen it was. It's it's been so
long. I've been going to afew here and there, like I've had
I think, I guess if you'retalking about like my first professional and I'm
(06:53):
gonna put it in quotes professionals,Oh Dan, says Ryan Dyan Yan,
so it's Dyan, all right,I'm gonna do that. So okay,
so back to this question. Thankyou, Diane, Dian, Diane,
I'm still gonna screw it up.I'm so sorry. So the first psychic,
(07:18):
I guess, our first professional psychicI went to was probably in New
Hope, and I think that wouldbe it. In New Hope, Pennsylvania.
There was a couple of little shotsshops there and shots I feel like
doing shots. There's a couple ofshops there that do psychic readings. And
this is going back maybe like uhmaybe like fifteen fifteen, twenty years maybe
(07:44):
that I went there and I wentinto the shop and I remember going in
and I think I was with mywife and a few other people and they
got readings and I got a readingand I recorded the reading. So I
don't know if I was posted ornot, probably not, but I recorded
it so I could listen to itlater. But the one thing that I
(08:05):
didn't notice was that the psychic neverlooked at me. And it was a
it was a guy, which Iwas. It was like the store's name
was Madam Something, and so Iwas surprised when I went in. There
was a guy. You're like, all right, come on, Mack,
and I'm like, wait a minute, You're not Madam something or other.
What's going on here? But wesat down and he did a Tarot card
(08:26):
reading, which I didn't think wasa psychic reading, but it was a
Tarot card reading, and they gaveme. He rattled off stuff, he
put the cards out, didn't lookat me, and as I stared at
him, he wasn't even looking atthe cards, and it really sounded like
a rehearsed reading, like he hadsaid this a thousand times before. That's
(08:48):
how fast it was. Rattling off. He didn't stutter, he didn't make
a mistake, he just rattled off, and it really didn't seem like he
was paying attention to me. Sothat was my first I guess reading that
I had in person. And thenI went to a John Edward show a
couple of years after that, andthat was very unimpressive, very very unimpressive.
(09:11):
Lots of cold reading. I meanpretty much everything was cold reading,
and the amount of misses that hehad was ridiculous. But there you go.
I mean, I wasn't very skepticalat first. I think I became
more skeptical at that first reading becauseI still I think in my ghost hunting
days and I don't think I neverreally trusted psychics, psychic impressions and stuff
(09:35):
like that. From the beginning.I really didn't buy into it. So
even though I was a ghost hunterand I was intore like ghosts and I
thought places would be haunted, Ididn't really bond to the psychic thing.
So I hope that answered your question. Let's see, Uh, let's say
Dave's got a question, how wouldyou how would you year a psychic?
(10:00):
Why? Wait, uh oh,here we go. How would you test
a psychic? What are you drinking, Dave? He's drinking early night?
Well, testing a psychic is prettymuch like testing out any other claim.
First, you gotta know what theclaims are like, exactly what they can
(10:22):
do. This is in my experience, UM psychics do psychics and or mediums.
There isn't a across the board uhskill um or or or set up
skills or how they do it.It's different each time. So number one,
(10:43):
you'd have to um actually write down, sit down and go over details
and figure out exactly what they claimto do. Um. Do they see
things that they have visual representations ofthings? Do they hear voices schizophrenia?
Um? Do they do they smellthings? Do they taste things? You
(11:03):
know? What do they do?And then taste the testing off of that?
Whereas um, like I guess forexample, if you would if a
psychic claim that they could read yourpast, um, okay, so you
you would get specific things like Okay, I want to I want to talk
(11:24):
about like major things that happen inmy past and my life, not like
a past life, but in mylife, and you would write all the
details down, have it all writtenout beforehand, he said to the third
party. Then have the psychic sitdown and do their thing, if that's
what they claim to do, andthen write out the details. Um for
(11:45):
a medium, if you uh,if they're claiming to talk to your dead
relatives, Um, again, yougot to get all the uh the details.
But I would have like I doI have it here? No?
I don't. I have it inthe bag the backpack that I carry around.
I actually carry around three envelopes.I have three envelopes that are sealed
(12:07):
security envelopes, and it has themajor details of three individuals that are close
to me that I'm that I wouldconsider like real close friends, real close
family that have passed away, andI carry them everywhere I go. Hey
Tina, Hey Eric, Hey Dana. UM. I carry them everywhere I
(12:30):
go. And if I happen tocome along to somebody, come upon somebody
that claims to be a medium, and they can talk to my dead loved
ones, then I have the perfectexample here, like, okay, here,
tell me about these three people.I would like to talk to these
three or give me details about them. And I know that's not the bids
to claim is that's not how italways works. It's whoever comes through.
(12:54):
So it would have to be specificdetails, you know, Like you get
these general questions and we're getting intocold reading now, but you're getting into
general questions, general statements that arebeing said. I need specifics, you
know. Don't give me that bullshit. I hear an M sounding name,
that's complete bullshit. Um. Ifyou can hear an M sounding name,
(13:16):
then you can hear the second andthird letter. You can hear the entire
fucking name. I'm starting already withthe F bombs. If you can hear
them one I mean they can justsound out all the other We all learn
the alphabet growing up. We knowhow they how they sound, so sound
it out. You know, that'swhat we did. That's I know,
that's how I did it growing up. Sound that shit out so it sounded
(13:39):
out. Don't give me a letter, don't give me a number that can
relate to and address, a phonenumber, a date, a birthday,
at death date, a month, day, year, don't give me that
shit. I hate that. Butagain, I mean this is these are
just two examples or maybe three.I don't know how many examples I actually
got into. I kind of rattledoff. There were rambled on. But
(14:01):
testing a psychic is definitely it's justlike testing any clean You have to know
specifics before you can actually test it. And uh, and then you go
from there. So but good question. M oh, that's good stuff.
Oh oh, all right, let'ssay, uh, let's say ask a
(14:24):
psychic. A buster says, aska psychic what the lottery numbers are?
Oh that you know what? I'vedone that a lot more as a joke,
because I mean I don't it's personally. I mean, if you haven't
already guessed, I don't believe psychicsare are there are? I don't believe
there are real psychics or real mediums. And uh so I guess the numbers
(14:48):
would fall under the psychic part, not the medium part. Um. But
I mean I say it more asa joke because I don't I don't think
there are genuine psychics or mediums.Um. I think it's more of a
toy. Put it nicely. It'smore of like a self self deception kind
of thing. And I'm not sayingthat in a bad way. I think
(15:09):
for the most part it's self deception. Um. And we can get into
that a little later. Um.I like JD. Yes, JD's comment
Fuck John Edward. Yes, Ithink he's scum. Um. He is
the biggest douche in universe. SoI hear uh oh and Dana saw him
too, Hey, Dana, Yeah, it was horrible. And if you
(15:33):
ever saw, I mean you haveto. You have to see this clip
if you haven't seen it already. He did a There was a video clip
of John Edward doing a reading ina primarily Irish community and there's a clip
of him going is there like He'sholding a microphone, He's like, is
there like a McCleary, McCleary, mccle like every Irish hind of sounding name
(16:00):
you could possibly think of, Andhe rattles off a whole bunch and just
nothing. Nothing that's pretty bad. That's really bad. H Eric, Christopher
Meyers, what's up, buddy? How you doing? He says, any
psychic who has who has to paythe bills doing readings instead of winning the
lottery or sports gambling shouldn't be considereddubious at best. I love I love
(16:25):
how you speak, I love howyou I follow Eric. Eric is a
great he's a filmmaker. Check outhis film Butterfly Kisses. If you can't,
I forget where it's I think it'son Amazon, that's where I saw
it. Awesome film. But Ilove your responses to things. I follow
him on Facebook and it's very eloquent. That's I don't use that word often
(16:45):
to describe how people talk, becausethere's very few people that speak eloquently.
Um like Teller of Penn and Tellerhe speaks eloquently. So yes, Eric,
you speak eloquantly. I love it. But I agree, yes,
Um, I mean, if ifit has to pay the bills by doing
(17:07):
readings, um in like a storefrontinstead of you know, using that powers.
I mean it sounds weird. It'slike using that power for selfish reasons
for evil, but fuck it.I mean, if I could win lottery,
I would, I totally would.I would do it every like every
other month. M oh god, shooting pain, shooting pain. That sucks
(17:33):
for me, all right, Carol. Question. I like the queue.
I like that. That's better. That's better than question. But you know,
I still like questioning and que Ilike, do you make distinction between
big show, cold hot reading typepsychics and the ones that don't charge or
charge little sake things out of theblow? I mean, what distinction is
(17:56):
there to be made? Really,um, basically, it's the same techniques.
And I think I want to sayoff the bat here while it's not
off the bat. I mean,we're already like eighteen minutes into the show.
But I want to say as aslike a disclaimer to this or precrussor
to this, is that I don'tthink all psychics are actively trying to deceive
(18:21):
people. I do think there's afew people out there that genuinely think or
genuinely believe that they have some kindof like intuition like super or supernatural intuition,
and I think it becomes I thinkit's an issue of reinforcement from family
and friends. We all have experiences, life experiences. We all have um
(18:48):
knowledge from just going through life.We watch TV, we watch the news.
We can anticipate when things are goingto happen, or when things are
gonna get bad, or someone's goingto blow up or this and that,
or if someone having a bad day. We can relate, you know,
because we've gone through that ourselves. So I think a lot of the psychic
intuition or empathic kind of stuff thatthat subscribed as like EmPATH I think it's
(19:14):
not anything supernatural. It's just peoplebeing sympathetic to other It's just showing empathy.
I mean, we're that's what wedo. We look at other people.
We can tell if they're happy orsad, going through some rough times,
just by their actions, the waythey hold themselves, the way they
(19:34):
speak, the tone of voice, other things in their lives that we can
observe. We make these observations. What we can tell what's going on.
It doesn't mean that someone's psychic. It means, you know, they can
relate. That's it. Well onthat note though there are a lot of
douchebags, the big stage ones thatyou're talking about. Yes, I wholeheartedly
(19:57):
believe that they are well aware orwhat they're doing, especially when they go
around like I know, some peoplewith the big fucking hair and the nails
that are out to like Freddy Kruegerclaws, you know, and and the
diamonds and shit all over the place. They know they're doing they're taking advantage
of people, and they're taking advantageof people that are um going through pain
(20:19):
and and mourning and shit like that, and they're I think they're scump.
I think they're total scump um TeresaCrudon shit like that. I mean,
they're horrible people. Um people thatyou're you're actually addressing, like people like
that charge or charged very little ordon't charge, doesn't make a difference.
Um. It's still displaying something andpresenting themselves as something that they're not um
(20:45):
and even though they believe that theyare, and it really would take them
to prove it. And for themost part, like a lot of those
um challenges, whether they're polite challengesor you know, hard in your face
challenges, a lot of them aremet with statements of I don't have to
prove it or not out to proveit. If you're not out to prove
(21:07):
it, then stop doing public fuckingstopping people and on the street and just
doing readings. Just stop it,um, because you're you're giving people hope
and a false sense of what's goingon. UM. That may sound harsh,
but uh it is. It's mismisleading people. And I don't think
I shouldn't have done that. UM. I don't think it's it's uh appropriate,
(21:33):
and that's just me. UM.So I hope that answers you the
question. You probably won't like that, but UM, that's that's my opinion
on that. All right, let'skeep going it. Tina, Hey,
Susan, whoo, nice to seeyou at five guy Susan's and five guys.
Anybody wants anything? She's taking orders, I just ate, but you
(21:55):
know what, Um, did hehave milkshakes? I know some of five
guys have milkshakes. I want tochocolate milkshakes. Just sending that all right
over, I'll be here. Mall right. Let's say Stacy says,
I don't think any of my deadrelatives were close enough to me to try
and reach out. You know,I have. I don't have a big
(22:17):
family, and a lot of thefamily that I have, I'm really not
close to. Um. It's it'sa very like we go our separate raise
and do our own things. SoI really don't have close ties to much
family. So I wouldn't even know. Um. Let's see, uh.
Tina says, in thirty years,I have never collected a penny. I
(22:40):
don't get paid from l E.I don't know what Elie is. I'm
not sure what that is life experiences. That was a random guess. I
don't know if that's right. Solet's see what else. What else we
got here? Chuck said, isI need to speak to you? Well,
(23:00):
you are speaking to me, sospeak Uh. Bob says, I
wish I was a medium. UnfortunatelyI am an extra large Oh but I'm
bumch that was a dad joke.Paul Browning, Hey, Paul, good
to see you, buddy, good, good to see you. Um.
(23:22):
They always pick up on grandparents, you know, people that have quite possibly
passed on. That's that's a basictactic. Um. And it's you know,
I think I have a book here, hold on, let me see
if I fight U La la lala, Where is out here is reached
paint paint. No, that's notit. Oh. I have a book
(23:45):
called, um, oh my god, what the hell is it called?
Oh? Here is? It's breakin Front. That's what I get from
being an idiot Passages. And Iknow I put this up before I think.
I put this out with Mark Edwardand I put it up before.
Um, this is a really goodbook because it goes through pretty much it's
a study of life life stages, and it goes through all the all of
(24:10):
life stages from birth to death. And as you pass through different stages of
life, it gives you the kindof general ideas of what happens to most
of us m going through this. And I know when I put this up,
Mark Edward said, that's pretty muchthe Bible of psychics. Um,
you read this and you you prettymuch have a good handle on what people
(24:33):
are doing, like where they arein life and what would possibly be there
or be going on with them ortheir family stuff like that. But you
mentioned grandparents there, Paul, andthat's you're right. It's it's a good
it's a good bed because depending onwhat the person looks like, if you
(24:56):
came up to me and maybe you'remy age or a little bit older,
well than I would. I wouldprobably make that bet that maybe your grandparents,
either all of them or at leasthave them, are already gone.
Um. And it's a good bet. And you notice that I would encourage
(25:18):
you to watch videos of psychics doingthis stuff. Um. And you're gonna
see like the big time sky, like the Caputo and Edward and and who
else, um, James from vonPrague and a few others, Tyler Henry
and Thomas John. And then whenthey when they speak about psychics and they
talk about the grandparents, they don'ttell you exactly who what grandparents. It's
(25:42):
always that, Okay, you know, I'm seeing an older person, possibly
a father or a father figure,a grandparent. Uh. And when you
go through that and you shotgun itlike you say it really fast, you're
not giving the the I guess thesinner we'll just call them in this in
this case, or the client. You're not giving the client enough time to
(26:03):
respond. They're listening and they're tryingto respond, but you give them so
much information at once they get overwhelmed. So once they hear an older figure,
a male figure, they're gonna associateit. They're gonna fill in the
blanks. It's it's pretty much agame. You give hints and we have
to fill in the blanks. Boom, your grandfather died. Okay, that's
(26:25):
it, and then that's where thepath goes. That's where the psychic will
continue to go with so um.But that's a good observation. Yeah,
it's usually grandparents or I mean, when you're talking about older people that are
grandparents, that are older older likeI can't really say that because I'm getting
near that two where I couldn't Icould possibly people my age or grandparents.
(26:45):
Now, so when you get mucholder than me, it's a good bet
that their parents are gone and youcan ask that. And that's that's one
thing I know I'm getting behind inthe comments here, but that's that's a
big deal because you can realize that, oh, where was I going with
(27:06):
this thought? It's not just grandparentsor parents, it's an older figure.
Once you start getting into the oldergenerations, you can say pretty much anything,
and it's in the form of aquestion. It's not stating clearly that,
hey, your father passed away onthis date. It's usually did your
father die or did your father passIt's a question. It's a fucking question.
(27:30):
So if you have to answer thequestion, there's no psychic ability here.
This is a conversation, that's what'shappening. It's an interview and you're
the interviewee and you're just telling themeverything they need to know. So who,
Carol wants to know? Why amI so blurry? Tonight? Is
(27:52):
it you or me? I don'tknow. At my blurry I look fine
to me, but of course I'mseeing the life that stream view. So
I'm the one broadcasting, so itlooks good to me. I don't know
anybody else. Oh, it lookslike not just you and pixelated here too.
Oh maybe bad connections. I don'tknow. Hopefully it gets better.
(28:14):
Sorry about that guy. So there'snothing I can really do. I stream
right to the server and the servergoes out from there, so I don't
know. Maybe he'll clear up,hopefully. Hm. Let's see. Oh,
Stacy is a large Okay, itused to be an extra large,
good going good for you? Let'ssay Chuck. Chuck says, psychics don't
(28:37):
believe there is a real ketty either. You are a demon? Okay,
Um, that's okay. They don'thave to believe in me. I don't
mind. It doesn't bother me.Oh, let's say. Oh. Jim
says, I'm pixelated and here wow, Dave. Here, Dave says,
here is a triple blind procedure forlab testing of psychics. When he put
(29:00):
in a pdf, Thank you,Dave. Dave is always good for papers,
all kinds of information like that.I love it. We have to
talk more, Dave. We havean event tomorrow that we have to discuss
at one point, So maybe Igot a show. If you're up,
hit me up. Let's see.Kathy says, I've tested a few psychics
(29:22):
myself. Some are real, somearen't. I make them do all the
work, and it'd be interesting toknow how you test them and determine that
they are real, because I've doneI mean, this is anecdotal, of
course, I mean just it's anecdotal. But I've done psychic readings in the
middle of lectures, and I've gottenspot on with stuff. Sometimes I've been
(29:45):
like dead on, like dead onwith details like dates and names, specific
names, and other times it's beenmore general. But I've gotten information out
of people, so I could Icould pass depending on the situation. I'm
not a pro with this I'm Ijust do it as like a little hobby
here and there, just to seewhat happens. But I've been good enough
(30:07):
to convince people that I was psychic, where I had actually had to run
after them after a lecture and likereally put it in their head like,
hey, I am not psychic.I made it up. I tricked you,
but to them I was real,I was genuine. So it's really
easy to do, and it's it'sit's harder to be like real good to
(30:27):
get up on stage. Like Iwould never get up on stage. Maybe
maybe I would. I don't know. It depends on how much I had
to drink. But uh, Iwouldn't really get up on stage and try
to do any kind of readings likethat. Cold readings. M just it's
not my thing. Maybe with somepractice I could do it, but I
don't know. Jay Day says ChuckSanders. I want to know what sigil
(30:52):
one need? What? Oh mygoodness, he was trying to summon me.
I am not a demon, Chuck, teenage comes up. That's called
phishing. Yes, fishing, itgoes into it's a form of cold reading.
I think it goes in hand inhand with cold reading. Basically you're
(31:14):
throwing out lines to people. I'masking questions like, hey, you know,
is your father passed? Is thisyou're asking for information. It's fishing
for information. You're trying to getinformation out of the people that you're reading.
I've seen it a lot. WhenI do, I really have to
bring up one of my finger counters. I know I've talked about it before,
(31:36):
but you have to count how manyquestions are being asked during reading.
And I think I mentioned it.I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it. Where
I average about two questions a minutewhen I sit for readings, Like,
I don't average two questions, theyaverage asking me about two questions every minute
for a fifteen minute reading, whichis a lot. That's a lot.
(31:57):
That's thirty freaking questions when you're supposedto be like talking to my dead loved
one. If if they're standing,if that ghost you know of my great
uncle friend or something that's standing behindme, you should be able to tell
me what they're wearing, what they'resaying, give me the information, not
asking me questions. Oh my backis killing me. Let's say having conversations.
(32:23):
Good good, Uh Bob says,I am still blurry Oh wow,
Sorry about that. Guys, theydon't know what's going on. Maybe everyone
is just on mmmmm looking for questions. Let me go over. I don't
see any other questions here. That'sStacy, stupid Long Island me. That
(32:51):
hurts. Yeah, that's funny.Oh I can't stand here. And the
reason we're talking about um grief vampires, Thank you, Susan, is is
because I actually was working on mymystery museum today and I was working on
a project that has to do withpsychics. Susan, You'll love what I've
been doing. But basically, I'vebeen really reading up on them, using
(33:13):
a lot of information that I've beenfinding, using certain staying operations that people
have using or have done to promotesome information, to get some information out
there. So psychics were on mymind and I felt like talking about it
tonight. So let's see. JD says question, if psychics were real,
(33:36):
don't you think they'd be able toforesee a troublemaker like you coming before
you even set foot through the door. One would think one would think that
they would be able to see somethinglike But again, I don't know.
There's no clear definition on how itworks. Because I don't think the psychics.
(33:57):
And I know there's a few peoplethat you know, call themselves psychics
that are watching tonight, and Iappreciate it. I appreciate you coming by
and joining in the conversation, butI don't think they really know how it
works and kind of make it upas they go. UM, it's it's
it's um. What is that improvI think it's really a form of improv
(34:19):
um that just keeps evolving as theygo. H Because I do walk up.
I mean I go to psychic fairs, I go to events and I'll
sit down with psychics. I talkto people that claim to be psychic or
mediums, and there's there's no warning. I mean, it's you would think
there's a good UM. I havea short story I can roll off here.
(34:43):
UM I worked with I was onScoring in a Strange with Ben Rafford
and Celestia Award. I did ashow with them where we we actively investigate
it. I don't know if thatstory way. We investigated an active missing
person case, and the deal wasthat we were supposed to not only investigate
(35:05):
the missing person case like follow along, but it was to see what psychics
were saying about this missing person case, and I picked one that was in
it was a young lady in NewJersey, and I even like went out.
I was part of the search party, trying to figure out what's going
on, you know, a side, because I got caught up into it
and I really wanted to help.I was really really hoping that this this
(35:29):
woman would be found. But oneof the things that I discovered there was
two psychics involved. One of themgave predictions after she had went missing,
and all the predictions were wrong,Like, every one of them was wrong.
And I think I listed like twelveor thirteen um predictions during the show,
(35:51):
and then there was more. Therewas a lot more, but every
one of them was wrong and ifthe police had followed her information, it
would have been a waste of time. But there was another one beforehand,
which was the one that really stuckout to me. The young lady that
went missing attended a psychic show thenight she went missing, so it was
(36:13):
um, I forget this the psychicmedium's name. She calls herself a evidential
medium, which is like, Ithink her last name is Kaza, I
forget, I forget what her firstname is. She got dark hair,
she's on like one of these ghosthunting shows. But so Stephanie pars it
(36:34):
was the missing young lady. Shewent to that show. It was a
girl's night house. She went withher mom and her family. She went
to the psychic show and this psychicKaza person who claimed in an interview because
I did background research owner, shesaid that she could see the past,
present, and future. And itreally pissed me off when I read that,
(36:55):
because it was like, you hadthis young lady, this this beautiful
young lady that was really her lifewas just starting. She was in your
audience in there, and if youcan see the future, then you should
a fucking scene that she was gonnago missing, that she was eventually going
(37:15):
to be killed. Because she waskilled. Her body was found sometime later
the day actually that I went upand helped with the search party. Her
body was found, um not farfrom her home. So it really pissed
me off that this this psychic madethese claims. And I even like,
(37:36):
during the search whilst she was stillmissing, I actually reached out on social
media to this psychic. What washer name? I gotta I gotta look
it up because it's bothering me umpsychic Kaza. What's her name, Cindy
Kaza, that's it. So Ireached out to her, and actually because
because somebody I think, like thesister or or a friend into the missing
(38:00):
person. Stephanie wrote on her wallthat, hey, you know she went
to your show. Do you haveany insight anything like this? And I
followed up saying, hey, youknow, like you're saying that you can
see the future, and shit, didn't you see anything? Can you you
know, can you help this family? Can you where is she? And
all I think the response I gotback was I've been in touch with the
(38:22):
family, which when I talked tothe family, they didn't know anything about
this, so it was complete bullshitand it, oh my god, it
fucking pisses me off thinking about that, because that poor young lady man she
she could have been saved that night, that she literally literally could have been
saved that night, but no,didn't happen. That's sad, that's really
(38:49):
sad. Eric Christopher Myers says,no that there are no psychics predicting twenty
twenty. There were no psychics predictingt twenty none, And you're telling me
that there was no collective shutter sharedin real time by the international psych community.
Yes, I agree, I agree. I mean that's one of the
things that I actually got tire ratingbecause I was writing up profiles on several
(39:15):
um famous psychics, none of whichpredicted this whole twenty twenty never. None
of them predicted COVID, none ofthem predicted quarantines, none of them convict
predicted anything. All this this entireshitty year um nothing, which really really,
I mean, that's gotta make youthink, honestly. Uh JD follows
(39:39):
up, Let's see what Nontra ThomasI say. Oh my god, oh
my goodness. All right, whatelse have we got here? I'm trying
to catch up, guys, Iknow him way behind on the comments here.
Bob says. A family member doesTiret card readings, and I had
her read cards from me one time. She said that something big was coming
(40:01):
for me in the coming year.I forget how long ago the reading took
place. The general general out,Oh my goodness, I can't even say
that that word. They were justso easy. Yes, I took on
a new title at work, butthat is common for me to take on
new positions, so she knew exactlyhow to read me in that case.
(40:24):
I mean it's easy when they're familyif they know about you especially, I
mean we can we can talk aboutthat. I mean social media when you
keep up with your friends. Yeah, I know a lot of information about
my friends. You know. Sometimesyou know what they had for breakfast.
Sometimes you know what they did lastweek. You know what their kids did.
You know if they got the promotionor not. You know if they've
(40:45):
been sick. You know, familypassing, friends passing. You know a
lot of stuff on social media. So it's really easy. I don't know
the specific circumstances surrounding like how closethis family member is to you or not.
If you guys communicate or connect itonline, you know, but there's
(41:06):
a lot that can go on.And if if I mean just from like
you and me, Bob, whenwe were training together, like just casual
conversation. If I wanted to,I could have taken notes, you know,
jot it stuff down after class, like oh you told me this,
you told me that, and thenwaited a few weeks and then brought it
up, you know, as likeoh, I'm seeing you know a position.
(41:28):
I think you got a new positionthat I'm seeing and you would say,
oh, yeah, you get anew title. But that's common for
you. That's called pre show work. And that's one thing I learned from
Mark Edward that you pay attention beforethe reading. You pay attention. You
listen to little details and you writethem down and you memorize them, and
then you bring them up. Andyou don't even have to bring up the
(41:51):
entire detail. All you need isa little snippet here and there, a
few words, you know, like, just do it. And usually the
person being read in the gaps theywill connect the dots for you, and
and there you go. You havea positive reading. Oh let's see Chuck
Sanders says, they do know him. I'm coming. They have you seen
(42:13):
the announcements he puts on all hispages. Here comes Kenny. That is
Scooby Doo fan. I try tolet people coming or know that I'm coming.
Oh my god, Corey Purvis, what up? How you doing?
Good to see you? Oh lawenforcement? Um, let's say Paul says
Kenny. Give me a copy ofyour ORBS book text and I'll convert it
(42:37):
for you to a real format. We'll talk later. Hey, cat Ward
made it. Green's from OZ.Thanks for your help with that fake video
yesterday. You are most welcome,no problem, always happy to help,
especially when we can try and figurestuff out. I love it. Let's
see, poor Kenny. My husband'sback was out last week, so I
(43:00):
feel you. Thanks Stacy. Yeah, I'm like, you don't see it,
but like my hands clenched because I'mtrying to, like, I get
these shooting pains that start from likemy butt crack and just run and they
kind of go like up through theback like that all the way to my
shoulders and it's it's just little things, like little movements. Oh my god,
(43:21):
it hurts so bad, but I'mtrying not to like scream mountain pain.
So I'll just keep drinking and we'llsee how that goes. Let's see.
Chuck Sanders says, I have signedKenny or book around here somewhere.
It's probably gonna be worth nothing someday. It's worth nothing now, so you're
(43:44):
good. Dave's got a question.Have you ever had a reading done where
you were behind the screen and didnot provide feedback during the reading? How
did that impact the accuracy of thereading? I have never done that.
I'd like to I mean that thathas issues on its own because um,
(44:07):
well most of the readings that allthe readings that I have are pretty much
where they don't know who I am. And sometimes I mean if Tim Vickers,
if he was in the room,he would know. Sometimes I hire
people to have readings for me.That's another topic though, or another conversation.
But I always show up and Itry to sit down with with with
(44:30):
people that don't know who I ambecause it gives me a little bit of
not an advantage, but it levelsthe playing field, I guess, because
if I sit down with somebody thatI know, well, they know me,
you know, they can give mesome details not too private. I
know how not private people are onFacebook or social media, so I understand
(44:52):
how much information is out there aboutme. So sitting down when somebody I
know they're gonna know things, sittingdown with people I don't know, are
going to treat me like people theydon't know. But this this kind of
scenario, it would be fun.I would love to do this. I
really love to do this. Butyou also have that anticipation now like they
(45:15):
already know it's going to be atest, and it's instead of getting them
in the I guess natural environment.I'm gonna do quotes this way because I
don't want to put my other armup right now in their natural environment where
they where it's comfortable. You know, they're sitting at their own table,
they have their own gadgets and stuffaround them, and they do their thing
(45:37):
and unaware that, you know, like a diehard skeptic like myself is sitting
across from them, you know, counting how many questions they ask me.
But if you set it up wherethere's a screen between us, they know
it's a test. And again,if anyone's willing to do it, I'm
up for it. I'm up forsetting up this kind of thing. And
(46:00):
you know what shit I mean.Once this uh my museum is open,
I'm I'm gonna have space uh wherewe could actually set this up. And
I would I would welcome anyone thatwants to do a test like this.
Um, if we can get likea a group together that we can,
we can set it up. Wecan have sitters that are unknown to the
(46:22):
to the psychic and you know, keep them separated. There's oh man,
Dave, this is gonna be fun. This, this will be fun.
If you want to you want toget on on this. We can try
and set this up where we'll havesitters and we'll have if a psychic wants
to try it. I'm not lookingto embarrassing people, embarrass anyone or you
know, call you out or pointfingers and like ha ha, you know,
(46:44):
like none of that, but atrue test, you know, volunteer,
come on out. We'll set upa screen. We'll make it sure
that there are people in a differentroom that you don't get contact with,
and we'll bring them out one byone that you can't you still can't see
them come out. We'll stay behinda screen and you read them with no
(47:04):
feedback whatsoever, and we'll see howyou do it. And I know I
can get people to help with this. M a friend of mine, Jim
Underdown, who runs the California branchof the CFI, does the cfiij now
So Center for Inquiry and Investigations Grow. They had the two hundred and fifty
(47:25):
thousand dollars prize, so we mightactually be able to set something up with
them, which would be interesting.I would love love to do that.
What so much fun? I amso far behind. I'm like twenty minutes
behind on these comments. Very sorryabout this la la la. Let's say
(47:46):
good to see you. I'm readingthrough comments. I'm reading. Wait,
I'm a shape shifter? When didI turn into that? Oh? Wait,
Kathy's coming. The messed up screenreminds me of a video I watched
about people whose faces would look likethey were melting off, become called shaped
(48:08):
and be called shape shifters. Uhwhat was that? Um? Oh my
god, what's that rowdy rider Pipermovie? Um with with the aliens but
the special glasses. Oh I can'tremember the name. I'm sorry that I'm
all weird looking. Eric says. The plot twist is that you aren't blurry.
(48:36):
You're dead and don't know it.We're seeing the hazy image of your
ghost. That's it. I mustbe a ghost tonight. Or maybe since
it's blurry, I would bet morethan I'm Bigfoot, because you know,
ghosts ghosts are just invisible. Bigfootis blurry. So maybe that's it.
Hey day, good to see you. Let's say what else we got here?
(49:05):
Um? Oh, Bob. Bobcomes in and says the family member
is a Facebook friend of mine.Okay, so yeah, I mean that
would that would definitely fall into umknowing information about you um having something even
offhand. I mean, you don'thave to pay close attention sometimes. I
mean I go through my like Facebookfeed and I just read what things,
(49:30):
what people are up to, Myfriends are up to. UM. If
it's a little like two or threelines, I usually give it a read
and just see what they're up to. You know, they're mood, they're
in, they got a promotion,if they got fired, or something like
that. And you know, eventhough it only takes a couple of seconds
to look at, that sticks inthe back of your mind sometimes and it
might come up in a couple ofdays or in a week or so if
(49:52):
it comes up in conversation. There'sa lot of things. I mean,
if you when when you talk abouthot reading, reading hot reading is knowing
information beforehand. Before you do areading, you already have information like personal
information and some of the things likeI do to research people, I use
(50:13):
ancestry dot com, I use socialmedia, I use credit checks, background
checks, and going through family andfriends. I did a reading for a
skeptic organization with me and Rob Palmer, the well known skeptic, and if
you haven't checked it at his columnin Skeptical Inquired, go check it out.
But me and Rob did a presentationand in the middle of my part
(50:36):
of the presentation, I did readinglike I started rattling off names, and
I think I did it for threepeople there and totally blew them away.
I had names of their kids, everything. No idea how I did it,
But I mean, the secret issimple. It was their group.
They were all the board members perse, and they all had profiles on
(50:59):
their website. I just printed outtheir profiles and then I highlighted certain names
and dates and backstories like military careerand stuff like that. Uh, somebody
one of the guys was into cookingand specific type of cooking, and I
just highlighted it and I'd had itin my notes, So I went up.
(51:19):
I went up with a paper likethis, and underneath I had a
page that was just notes. I'mblurry there um where I had everything highlighted.
So I just looked at my noteslooking like I'm just going through my
speech and started rattling off these comments. So it's really really easy, really
easy to to fake it, Dave. Dave says, you need to differentiate
(51:45):
between the phenomena, like you say, you need to know specific claims past
present future redcon precon in future itmaybe it may not be determined. Then
there is telepathy thing then supposed totalk. Okay, I don't know if
he can. I think I thinkhe's just clarifying what I clarified. So
(52:07):
I think, yeah, I mean, oh damn, the future thing.
That just brings in a whole newtopic. Because if I mean, you
go into that that sci fi thinking, I thought, experiment that if you
predict the future and now you knowwhat the future holds, can you change
the future and thus create a newtimeline. Oh that I'll have you scratch
(52:30):
your head for a little bit.Let's see. Um Bob says exactly.
Pre show work. I'm starting tocatch up. Sorry, guys, I'm
really starting to catch up here.Obviously I was not impressed. Yes,
pre show work is easy. Imean I've seen it. I've seen Mark
(52:52):
do it. I know. Ikeep mentioning him because you know, he's
he's pretty much with this mentalism stuff, with psychic readings. He is a
mentor to me because I've learned alot from him. But pre show work,
I mean, fuck yeah, notonly looking up profiles beforehand, but
I mean I do that when Igo to conferences. I do pre show
work, but not to be apsychic. But when I go to conferences,
(53:15):
I like to know who the speakersare and who the guests are a
special guest, and I look atin their profiles. I look at everything
just so I have an idea whoI'm dealing with, because usually, you
know, being the token skeptic,we crossed baths and I'd just like to
know who I'm dealing with. That'sall he says. It's the statue.
(53:35):
It's cursed. That's because I hadto hide it. Let's see proxy sitner.
Yes, Dave, hire someone tohave a reading for you. That's
called a proxy sitner. Actually, what happened was there was at least one
instance where I actually gave I paidfor Tim to have a reading, so
(54:00):
it wasn't me being read. Iactually paid for reading for him to get
read, to see if they wereon, like dead on with him,
and it actually turned out really bad. He walked away and he was just
shaking his head like nope, theygot nothing right, like nothing, So
that was interesting. Oh lista,I'm late joining. Are we drinking?
(54:22):
We are always drinking. This isthe bar. We are drinking. Kavi
says a fellow medium was working ona missing missing person's case. She would
do scrying in order to possibly finda location that said missing person. She
was led to several locations, soshe felt that it wasn't working. A
(54:46):
couple of days later, police receivedthe call a suitcase found with remains.
They went to a location, thenthey found more from back to the location,
each location that remained that remains werefound, and what same locations she
touched on. She felt so badshe stopped for a while. See if
that I'd actually have to see documentationon that, because that's that's a lot
(55:12):
of hearsay. That's a lot ofhearsay going on. I mean, where
are we getting this information from?Um? Is it coming from your friend
or while your fellow medium or becausehonestly, in my in my experience,
mediums embellish sight. Yet some mediumsembellished their their track record, their accuracy.
So if it's true, great, more power to you. But show
(55:37):
me the documentation. Show me thedocumentation. I want to see it.
I want to see where their predictionswere made, when they were made,
not just somebody telling me when theywere made, um, but when they
were made, how they related um, is it actual like accurate pinpoint accuracy
(55:59):
or is it general area like withina mile, two miles, five miles,
ten miles. These are little detailsthat are important. We really have
to go to with the details onthis stuff, because if if she had
all these locations, let's say shefelt it wasn't all these other cases.
So that's that's really something we'd haveto get into offline m and really get
(56:23):
into the nitty gritty because there's probablya lot more information than what we're we
have right here. So I wouldn'tmind getting into that with you a little
bit, more like talking about itand getting into more detail. Ah,
let's oh my god, I needto drink a lot more, take a
pain pill or like a muscle relaxerthat'll stop the pain for a little bit.
(56:45):
Cat Wards has a question. Shesays, what are your thoughts on
the work of early spr with mediumslike Leonora Piper. I am not familiar
with her. The name sounds familiar, but I'm not. I can't speak
about that because I don't know.I can't bring anything to mine. I'd
(57:06):
ask you. I have to lookit up, let me let me write
it down. Let's see No Piper. Okay, Like I know a VSPR,
I know about them, I've readsome of their stuff, but I'm
not like a member, so Idon't. I don't follow a lot of
their work. I really should,I mean, but I just don't have
(57:30):
time. Um, but maybe I'lllook into this this week or this weekend
and uh and get back to you. Uh, let's see bom bomb question
from Bob. Bob says, Iknow this sounds kind of cruel, but
would you consider holding an event atthe museum where you invite a medium out?
I know I'm statistic. Yes,um, yes, I have no
(57:52):
problem with that. I have noproblem. I mean, just across the
board, I have no problem entertaininga challenge or you know, putting something
to the test or exploring something. No problem all. Like I always have
that disclaimer, Like I don't believepsychics are real. I don't believe there
(58:15):
are real mediums. I don't believeghosts exist. I don't believe Bigfoot exists.
I don't believe a lot of thisstuff. But I'm still willing to
look. I Mean, that's whyI go out all the time. I
go to conferences. I go tolike these events where they're looking for bigfoot
and aliens and ghosts and demons andbears. Oh my, I'm still going
(58:37):
out looking for this stuff to seeif there's anything better going on, and
I'm always open to entertaining that. And yes, I mean just like I
mean, I don't know if I'mcatching up. That was I'm about still
fifteen minutes behind the questions. No, I might have answered this already,
but yes, I would love toset this up at the museum if someone's
(59:00):
willing. And that's the problem.I think that's the major obstacle that I
would have, is that who wouldbe willing to come out and do this,
Who would be willing to come outand subject themselves to this testing.
And again, it's not too ridicule, it's not too you know, show
(59:20):
someone out or you know, pretendlike I'm the big, bad skeptic or
anything like that. It's like,if you really can do what you can
do, then let's figure it out. But on the other side, if
you can't do what you think youcan do, maybe this will be good
for you the participant in realizing Okay, maybe I'm just good guests, or
(59:46):
maybe I'm just good with experiences andgood at reading people, not psychically,
but good at reading what's going on. Maybe I don't have psychic powers and
consider it. There's always that andI know it'll probably get self in my
face again, you know, likeoh, on the other side, you
know, even if they get somehits, I'm not gonna believe it.
(01:00:08):
If they can, if someone cancome in to our area, and which
would be the museum in this case, and say this this like ABC the
EFJ all accurate, like very accurate, like scary shit accurate um predictions or
(01:00:30):
or or predictions predicting event like thingsabout like the three envelopes that I mentioned
in the beginning show. If ifI probably heard that I have three envelopes
that contain information about three um peoplethat in my life that have passed away.
And if they could come in andsay, yeah, this person,
(01:00:52):
this, this, this, thisperson, this, this this, and
I opened up the envelopes, I'mlike, holy shit, you know that's
that's what's on here, I wouldbe totally amazed. I would recommend you
to the two hundred fifty thousand dollarchallenge. I would call up Jim Underdown
on my own phone and say Jimbecause he would answer and I'd say Jim,
and he say, hey, Ken, what's up. And I'd be
like, yo, I got someonefor your test. They might win your
(01:01:14):
prize. I think they're gonna win. You might want to start smiting now.
I have no problem doing that, but they gotta show it, you
know. Oh my god, sorryI'm not oh my god and you oh
my god, my back. Allright, So moving on. I hope
that answered your question. But yes, I definitely wouldn't invite a medium out.
(01:01:37):
I put test s up. Iconstantly have some kind of test up
and I actually have one now whereI actually brought it to some my mansion
last weekend, where I have aparticular object that has a backstory, and
I have slips of paper, andI invite psychics or end or mediums or
both, depending on you know whatthey call themselves to come out and write
(01:02:00):
on what they get the impression theyget from the it's a doll, it's
a doll that's burned, and tellme how it got burned, and you'll
get a free ticket to the museum, you know, or if you don't
want a ticket to the museum.I think of I got some prizes around
here that I'll be willing to partwith, but it would be cool.
(01:02:20):
So yeah, I'm constantly got somethinglike that going on. But yeah,
maybe like would I Duranta I wenton a little earlier. Maybe with Dave
and a couple other people, wecan get together a team and actually achieve
we can do a test, afull scale test. Stacey says, I
would love to visit your museum. My cousin lives in Philly. Awesome.
We are going to be opening theMystery Museum. October tenth is the official
(01:02:49):
kickoff, so after that it willbe open. Um I did start.
It's got a Facebook page if youlook for the Mystery Museum. It's got
a Facebook page. We're on Instagramand I also have UM It's on trip
Advisor. I just put it upand just got approved today. So I'm
trying to figure out that because I'venever done that before. So I'm trying
(01:03:09):
to figure out how to do thatand get it going. But I'll have
more information. There's information on theFacebook page if you want to come visit.
It's only on weekends that it's openand by appointment only because you know
someone's got to be there and Iwon't be there every weekend. But I'll
try to. So yeah, awesome, unfortunately too broke to travel. I
(01:03:34):
can relate. I can relate,no worries. Let's say what else we
got? They live? Thank youj D. That's the movie. I
love that movie too. Now I'mgonna go watch it. I'm gonna go
watch it. Wow, I amso far behind me. Catch out,
let me catch up here. I'mjust gonna skip ahead. I'm seeing that
(01:03:58):
I'm the up. Question question fromCarol have you been Have you ever been
to a spiritualist camps? Indaga CassadagaCassadaga, Florida or the New York I
found the traditional spiritualists were sincere butinaccurate, and the people who set up
(01:04:20):
shop were the John Edwards type.It was fun. We should do a
meet up there if the pandemic everends. So I was in Lilydale.
I did go to Lilydale m afew years ago. UM went there and
met some friends there and we wentthrough the entire thing. We got to
sit because it was there was ait was a special day, I guess,
(01:04:43):
and they had a special psychic. There were special medium. I don't
know exactly what he was called, but he was doing readings. They had
a reading in a it looked likea church, and then they had one
out in like a outdoor garden kindof area that was set up with seating
but basic cold reading, like horriblecold reading. I was not only unimpressed,
(01:05:09):
I was extremely unimpressed. And um, there was an incident that that
happened that that they did a readingfor my wife and it went horribly wrong.
UM Like I mean, we wejust left. We got up and
left, um because it was sobad that I really wanted to beat the
(01:05:30):
shit out of the guy. Umbecause he was just so stupid and impersonal,
impolite, inappropriate and a jackass anythinghe was wrong, um about everything
he said. So we also diduh. We walked around. There was
like a one medium doing readings insideone of the shops, but she didn't
like me because I asked too manyquestions. Um, like too many of
(01:05:54):
my questions. So I have beenaround, UM I did They're sincere.
I wouldn't agree with that in myexperience, just from my experience with this,
because I thought a lot of themjust came off as showman. They
were doing this to make money andthat was it. I didn't really like
(01:06:19):
the psychics and mediums there. Ireally did not like them. I liked
the little town because it was likea little short town, so that was
cute and it was nice to walkthrough. But other than that, no,
I wasn't impressed. I haven't beento the other one in Florida.
I didn't know that there was onedown there. But that's interesting. Maybe
(01:06:40):
next time in Florida I'll look andtake a look at that, because that
would be interesting. All right,Bob says, anyone can talk to the
dead. What doesn't happen is thatthey're talking back. Oh, and Cathy
argue say my experience, yes theydo. Oh my spirits talk to me.
(01:07:05):
That's about it. Oh hmm.Let's see Chuck Sanders. Let's say
Chuck says, no, lie,if you study in and off, you
can learn a lot about people andbuy it's why buy what they look like
(01:07:25):
and their stature, lifestyle. Youcan read people's feelings through their appearance.
It's not easy, but if youpractice, you can get at good get
good at it. That's not beingpsychiced. Just like my last comments,
it's too easy to get info.I agree. I mean you can look
at people, Um, you canlook at their clothing, um. You
can look at the kind of clothing. Is it expensive clothing? Is it
(01:07:46):
um? Kind of normal clothing, normal price like may like you know,
I go to Walmart and ship, you know, buy clothes. But is
it worn? Is it new?Is it raggedy um? I look at
people's shoes. I look at thekind of shoes they wear to see if
they're worn. If they're worn inare they comfortable shoes? You know,
(01:08:08):
for people like with bad feet orthey get a lot of pain from walking,
that they wear comfortable shoes. Arethey sneakers? Look at jewelry?
How much bling they have on?That was from my wife, she loves
bling. But what kind of stuffthey wear in perfume? How do they
hold themselves? Did they hold themselvesstraight up and sit properly, you know,
(01:08:31):
properly or did they slouch a lot? Look at the size and shape
of them? Are they overweight? Are they skinny? Are they tall?
All these little things, I mean, what else do I have? I
wrote down some things? Shoes, head nodding, I mean head nodding alone,
just doing this kind of thing.People do this so easily and don't
(01:08:55):
even realize that they're doing it.It's so easy to say something and look
at people's faces and judge whether you'reon the right track or you're not on
the right track. One of theexercises I did, I actually took a
cold reading workshop and it was itwas actually fun. We learned a lot,
(01:09:15):
and towards the end we were wewere told to partner up with someone
we didn't know, and then bothof us would look each other and practice
doing readings. And it was justbased solely on looking at the person.
You got like a minute or twoto look at them, and which was
weird because you're actually looking a strangerup and down with them watching you.
(01:09:38):
So it was kind of weird. But it was a cool exercise, and
I was the guy I was partneredup with told me I was about ninety
nine percent accurate because I just lookingat everything on him and getting the clues.
And I start using the head nodsbecause I would say things slowly in
(01:09:59):
a question and wait for his response, and I was surprised at how forthcoming
he was. And he didn't evenrealize um that he was doing you know,
stuff like this or like that, and he tells you yes or no,
So yeah, Chuck, I mean, that's that's exactly. That's that's
part of the skill. Uh allright, let's move on. Uh.
(01:10:26):
Bob says, I would love anevent where some of your friends like Mark
comes to the event with the medium, and let's invite Teresa Caputo, Zachie
and pen Teller. I don't,I don't think I think this is a
little over my budget all these people. Um yeah, I don't. I
don't. I don't think so.I mean Penateller in Vegas, Jackson,
(01:10:51):
Vegas, Teresa Caputo, I don'tgive a shit where she is um marks
in California. A lot, that'sa lot. But I would totally If
any local psychic mediums are interested inthis that are listening, either right now
or on the replay, contact me. Reach out to me on Facebook Kenny
(01:11:12):
Biddle or I am Kenny Biddle, that's my blog on Facebook. Reach out
to me and we can set thisup. I'm more than willing, totally
more than willing. That would begreat. Penn and Teller, oh my
god, I've met both of them, got to talk with them. They
were nice people, all right.Kissing Chris Angel, Yes, I like
Chris Angel too. Let's see.Kathy says, I'm a few hours away
(01:11:36):
from PA, but working on stuffright now. Eventually I make it to
your museum, Kenny good Good,I expect every one of you to come
visit because there's an adult scavenger huntbecause I have rum hidden throughout the museum.
You just gotta find it. Sothere you go. That's incentive,
ain't it. Uh? Stacy saysshe loves my wife's bottles. Yes,
(01:12:02):
I do too, They're very cool. I actually have one. It's an
alien head from alien Head vodka, and she lit it up, not for
me. I actually had to winit through a riffle. If you're listening,
don I'm still mad about that. But it's an alien head with green
lights in it. It looks awesome. It's at the museum. I love
(01:12:24):
it. Jad says, if Iremember correctly, in the Carnie business,
don't they call that sizing up aperson casting the mark that I wouldn't know
that's something from mark. I don'tnot sure about that. Danis says,
what about people who fear who wearfans around their necks like you weirdo?
(01:12:47):
No, it's cool. I meanit gives it cool. Do what you
gotta do? You know what I'msaying? Uh? Oh, Kathy is
talking to Chuck. You come acrossas someone I've I've heard before. The
weird part of Chuck is my numberone stalker. That's probably why you know
him. He actually, he actuallyhas a T shirt that says so because
(01:13:09):
I made it for him. Hey, Tim, thinkers showed up? Hey
Tim, remember that time I hadyou get a psychic reading when he came
up. Tim's coming. Tim's comingto visit. He's coming to visit the
museum. I know he is.Uh. Bob says, what, I
(01:13:31):
can't make it to your museum.I live too far away. Haha,
I will definitely. What the hellI know where you live? You ain't
too far? Shut up? Lookat this. I actually caught up to
all the comments. That's awesome. That is so cool. I love it
all right, So I don't havetoo much else. You know what,
Before I go into announcements and stuff, I'm gonna play my commercial, so
(01:13:53):
you're all gonna have to sit andwatch it and then be hypnotized into buying
a T shirt. So here's mycommercial and watch. Yeah, that's not
the commercial, that's just the picture. So I hit the wrong thing.
Hey, there are my friends? Are you looking to show off your science
of skeptical side like these fine people. Then head over to my tea Spring
(01:14:16):
store, where you'll find lots ofT shirts, coffee mugs, topebags,
Fanny pass yes they are coming back, face covering, yoga paints, and
even pillows. What. Yes,there's lots of design. You'll get some
pool merge, and the money fromyour purchases go right back into my research
efforts. We all wit so checkout Scientific Skepticism at keyspring dot com and
(01:14:41):
remember, kids never stop learning.I love the music. I'm sitting here
trying to bob along and going outout out stacy. I don't care buy
more shirts, So I'm gonna startwrapping it up a little early tonight since
(01:15:02):
we still I'm caught up with myquestions and comments. That's good. So
I have a book. Recommend thebook. I don't know if I recommended
it this recommended this before. Butthis is one of my awesome books.
I love this book. It isa full facts book of cold reading by
Ian Roland. It's amazing book.I think if you do find it,
(01:15:29):
it's gonna be expensive. I thinkit's gonna be expensive. This I was
lucky enough to get this from afriend a few years ago, and when
I looked it up, it's it'sup there, like it's not cheap at
all. But it goes into prettymuch everything you can see. I got
some flags there, and I gotsome highlighting, but it goes into pretty
much every aspect of cold reading. And once you read this, I mean
(01:15:54):
even in the first chapter, you'regonna be like, holy shit, mind
blowing how much you've how much informationyou can glean from someone just by looking
at them, So definitely would Iwould recommend this. If you can find
this on like eBay cheap or ifyou find it in a use bookstore,
buy them. Hell, if youfind like two, buy both and send
(01:16:16):
me one. I'll buy it fromyou because I would like to have another
copy, maybe to give away oneday. So Bob says, speaking of
your commercial, my birthday is literallya month away. I have to have
my family put in orders. Ifyou searched mind good, Yes, that's
awesome. I love Hey, Stacy, I'm out, probably see you tomorrow
(01:16:44):
tomorrow. Let's talk about tomorrow beforeyou go. If you're not are already
gone, Tomorrow is gonna be aspecial show. We're doing three tortured Souls
again, as we do every Saturdaynight eight o'clock pm Eastern and five pm
Pacific. But tomorrow is ghost HuntingDay. It's National ghost Hunting Day,
so that's when all the ghost huntersare supposed to like find a place and
(01:17:08):
they broadcast live. So I'm gonnajump into I will be well, not
only me, but my wife andI will be at the White Hill Mansion
tomorrow in Fieldsboro, New Jersey. We were going to be there, we
were invited to come out, andI am going to broadcast from there.
So when I join into the podcasttomorrow, I will be from White Hill.
(01:17:31):
And we're gonna try and structure itwithout trying to piss anyone off,
but we're gonna try and structure thisshow as in like we're observing what ghost
hunters are doing, and we're gonnado commentary, not make fun of them.
I want to make that clear. We're not gonna make fun of people
except each other. But we're gonnalook at what they're doing, how they're
(01:17:53):
doing it, and then talk aboutwhat we would do differently if we would
agree with them, if we don'tagree, what we don't like about it,
and what we would change maybe toimprove it. It's gonna like a
real time constructive criticism kind of thing. So this is the first time we're
doing this. I don't know howit's gonna work. I'm hoping it works
(01:18:14):
good. I'm hoping I get receptionbecause I have to use my phone to
go in to get into the show. But I'm hoping it turns out really
really good. And it's now I'mclear awesome good. So I'm hoping this
turns out really cool and I'm lookingforward to it. We're actually gonna stay
the night, I think, becauseyou know, we got pulled, so
(01:18:38):
we're gonna start drinking after the ghostSon's done and then just stay the night
in the haunted place. Oh mygod, it's hardened. Who awesome good.
I'll see it tomorrow too, theCat and Stacy. I hope you
guys join us and then let meget to Uh. I'm gonna try and
wrap this up like um like Isaid, because I want to take more
(01:19:01):
medication and just lay down somewhere andcry. So I have two events coming
up, well, the one Ijust talked about, tomorrow's National Ghost Hunting
Day, and then October third atSelma Mansion. I will be. I
will be there because there's a certainperson that's holding a history of the paranormal
(01:19:27):
event. I'm not going to sayhis name because I don't like them,
but I want to go and seewhat's going on because rumor has it that
he requested paranormal photographs that he's goingto put up on screen and explain or
describe. So, as many ofyou know, paranormal photography is kind of
my forte and I want to gosee what is going to be going on.
(01:19:51):
So we'll say about that. Otherthan that, I don't have anything
else. Oh yeah, cool.Let me say seriously, Kathy said,
seriously, I need to hit theroad and use something doretht um all right,
So with that, let me seeevery Friday night. I hope to
(01:20:14):
see you again. I broadcast herelive on w LFA dB Radio Network on
my I M. Kenny Middle blogevery Friday night at nine o'clock Saturday's I
do three Torture Souls. Tune intomorrow for that. If you want T
shirts, you've stole them my commercial. Buy some T shirts. Go to
t spring dot com slash Scientific Skepticismand see what they have. I have
(01:20:36):
a few designs up there, whichyou might like. Um yeah, check
him out. See you know, you don't have to buy them, but
if you, if you like him, buy them because it helps me out,
it helps me help you. Otherwise. Check out my art, my
column one Skeptical in Choir magazine.I do a column called a Closer Look,
(01:20:58):
and I have to catch up.I have a couple of articles that
I need to finish so I canget in there. But I have I
think over forty articles up there sofar, so ranging from mostly ghosts and
and and mysteries like that, andmaybe a big fourter UFO article in there
somewhere, and that's it. Sowith that, I'm going to let's see,
(01:21:25):
I'm gonna go over here and I'mgonna queue up the video so it's
ready to play. And then I'mgonna say thank you everyone for coming out,
Thanks you for spending your Friday nightwith me again. I hope everyone
has a safe weekend, have fun, stay safe, enjoy life, and
