long. I've been going to afew here and there, like I've had

I guess, our first professional psychicI went to was probably in New
Hope, and I think that wouldbe it. In New Hope, Pennsylvania.
There was a couple of little shotsshops there and shots I feel like
doing shots. There's a couple ofshops there that do psychic readings. And
this is going back maybe like uhmaybe like fifteen fifteen, twenty years maybe

that I went there and I wentinto the shop and I remember going in
and I think I was with mywife and a few other people and they
got readings and I got a readingand I recorded the reading. So I
don't know if I was posted ornot, probably not, but I recorded
it so I could listen to itlater. But the one thing that I

didn't notice was that the psychic neverlooked at me. And it was a
it was a guy, which Iwas. It was like the store's name
was Madam Something, and so Iwas surprised when I went in. There
was a guy. You're like,all right, come on, Mack,
and I'm like, wait a minute, You're not Madam something or other.
What's going on here? But wesat down and he did a Tarot card

reading, which I didn't think wasa psychic reading, but it was a
Tarot card reading, and they gaveme. He rattled off stuff, he
put the cards out, didn't lookat me, and as I stared at
him, he wasn't even looking atthe cards, and it really sounded like
a rehearsed reading, like he hadsaid this a thousand times before. That's

how fast it was. Rattling off. He didn't stutter, he didn't make
a mistake, he just rattled off, and it really didn't seem like he
was paying attention to me. Sothat was my first I guess reading that
I had in person. And thenI went to a John Edward show a
couple of years after that, andthat was very unimpressive, very very unimpressive.

Lots of cold reading. I meanpretty much everything was cold reading,
and the amount of misses that hehad was ridiculous. But there you go.
I mean, I wasn't very skepticalat first. I think I became
more skeptical at that first reading becauseI still I think in my ghost hunting
days and I don't think I neverreally trusted psychics, psychic impressions and stuff

like that. From the beginning.I really didn't buy into it. So
even though I was a ghost hunterand I was intore like ghosts and I
thought places would be haunted, Ididn't really bond to the psychic thing.

a psychic? What are you drinking, Dave? He's drinking early night?
Well, testing a psychic is prettymuch like testing out any other claim.
First, you gotta know what theclaims are like, exactly what they can

do. This is in my experience, UM psychics do psychics and or mediums.
There isn't a across the board uhskill um or or or set up
skills or how they do it.It's different each time. So number one,

you'd have to um actually write down, sit down and go over details
and figure out exactly what they claimto do. Um. Do they see
things that they have visual representations ofthings? Do they hear voices schizophrenia?
Um? Do they do they smellthings? Do they taste things? You

know? What do they do?And then taste the testing off of that?
Whereas um, like I guess forexample, if you would if a
psychic claim that they could read yourpast, um, okay, so you
you would get specific things like Okay, I want to I want to talk

about like major things that happen inmy past and my life, not like
a past life, but in mylife, and you would write all the
details down, have it all writtenout beforehand, he said to the third
party. Then have the psychic sitdown and do their thing, if that's
what they claim to do, andthen write out the details. Um for

a medium, if you uh,if they're claiming to talk to your dead
relatives, Um, again, yougot to get all the uh the details.
But I would have like I doI have it here? No?
I don't. I have it inthe bag the backpack that I carry around.
I actually carry around three envelopes.I have three envelopes that are sealed

security envelopes, and it has themajor details of three individuals that are close
to me that I'm that I wouldconsider like real close friends, real close
family that have passed away, andI carry them everywhere I go. Hey

go. And if I happen tocome along to somebody, come upon somebody
that claims to be a medium,and they can talk to my dead loved
ones, then I have the perfectexample here, like, okay, here,
tell me about these three people.I would like to talk to these
three or give me details about them. And I know that's not the bids
to claim is that's not how italways works. It's whoever comes through.

So it would have to be specificdetails, you know, Like you get
these general questions and we're getting intocold reading now, but you're getting into
general questions, general statements that arebeing said. I need specifics, you
know. Don't give me that bullshit. I hear an M sounding name,
that's complete bullshit. Um. Ifyou can hear an M sounding name,

then you can hear the second andthird letter. You can hear the entire
fucking name. I'm starting already withthe F bombs. If you can hear
them one I mean they can justsound out all the other We all learn
the alphabet growing up. We knowhow they how they sound, so sound

relate to and address, a phonenumber, a date, a birthday,
at death date, a month,day, year, don't give me that

testing a psychic is definitely it's justlike testing any clean You have to know
specifics before you can actually test it. And uh, and then you go

Oh that you know what? I'vedone that a lot more as a joke,
because I mean I don't it's personally. I mean, if you haven't

there are real psychics or real mediums. And uh so I guess the numbers

would fall under the psychic part,not the medium part. Um. But
I mean I say it more asa joke because I don't I don't think
there are genuine psychics or mediums.Um. I think it's more of a
toy. Put it nicely. It'smore of like a self self deception kind

off the bat. I mean,we're already like eighteen minutes into the show.
But I want to say as aslike a disclaimer to this or precrussor
to this, is that I don'tthink all psychics are actively trying to deceive

people. I do think there's afew people out there that genuinely think or
genuinely believe that they have some kindof like intuition like super or supernatural intuition,
and I think it becomes I thinkit's an issue of reinforcement from family
and friends. We all have experiences, life experiences. We all have um

knowledge from just going through life.We watch TV, we watch the news.
We can anticipate when things are goingto happen, or when things are
gonna get bad, or someone's goingto blow up or this and that,
or if someone having a bad day. We can relate, you know,
because we've gone through that ourselves.So I think a lot of the psychic
intuition or empathic kind of stuff thatthat subscribed as like EmPATH I think it's

not anything supernatural. It's just peoplebeing sympathetic to other It's just showing empathy.
I mean, we're that's what wedo. We look at other people.
We can tell if they're happy orsad, going through some rough times,
just by their actions, the waythey hold themselves, the way they

speak, the tone of voice,other things in their lives that we can
observe. We make these observations.What we can tell what's going on.
It doesn't mean that someone's psychic.It means, you know, they can
relate. That's it. Well onthat note though there are a lot of
douchebags, the big stage ones thatyou're talking about. Yes, I wholeheartedly

believe that they are well aware orwhat they're doing, especially when they go
around like I know, some peoplewith the big fucking hair and the nails
that are out to like Freddy Kruegerclaws, you know, and and the
diamonds and shit all over the place. They know they're doing they're taking advantage
of people, and they're taking advantageof people that are um going through pain

and and mourning and shit like that, and they're I think they're scump.
I think they're total scump um TeresaCrudon shit like that. I mean,
they're horrible people. Um people thatyou're you're actually addressing, like people like
that charge or charged very little ordon't charge, doesn't make a difference.
Um. It's still displaying something andpresenting themselves as something that they're not um

and even though they believe that theyare, and it really would take them
to prove it. And for themost part, like a lot of those
um challenges, whether they're polite challengesor you know, hard in your face
challenges, a lot of them aremet with statements of I don't have to
prove it or not out to proveit. If you're not out to prove

it, then stop doing public fuckingstopping people and on the street and just
doing readings. Just stop it,um, because you're you're giving people hope
and a false sense of what's goingon. UM. That may sound harsh,
but uh it is. It's mismisleading people. And I don't think
I shouldn't have done that. UM. I don't think it's it's uh appropriate,

are doing, like where they arein life and what would possibly be there
or be going on with them ortheir family stuff like that. But you

it's a good bed because depending onwhat the person looks like, if you

came up to me and maybe you'remy age or a little bit older,
well than I would. I wouldprobably make that bet that maybe your grandparents,
either all of them or at leasthave them, are already gone.
Um. And it's a good bet. And you notice that I would encourage

you to watch videos of psychics doingthis stuff. Um. And you're gonna
see like the big time sky,like the Caputo and Edward and and who
else, um, James from vonPrague and a few others, Tyler Henry
and Thomas John. And then whenthey when they speak about psychics and they
talk about the grandparents, they don'ttell you exactly who what grandparents. It's

always that, Okay, you know, I'm seeing an older person, possibly
a father or a father figure,a grandparent. Uh. And when you
go through that and you shotgun itlike you say it really fast, you're
not giving the the I guess thesinner we'll just call them in this in

respond. They're listening and they're tryingto respond, but you give them so
much information at once they get overwhelmed. So once they hear an older figure,
a male figure, they're gonna associateit. They're gonna fill in the
blanks. It's it's pretty much agame. You give hints and we have
to fill in the blanks. Boom, your grandfather died. Okay, that's

it, and then that's where thepath goes. That's where the psychic will
continue to go with so um.But that's a good observation. Yeah,
it's usually grandparents or I mean,when you're talking about older people that are
grandparents, that are older older likeI can't really say that because I'm getting

Now, so when you get mucholder than me, it's a good bet
that their parents are gone and youcan ask that. And that's that's one
thing I know I'm getting behind inthe comments here, but that's that's a
big deal because you can realize that, oh, where was I going with

Once you start getting into the oldergenerations, you can say pretty much anything,
and it's in the form of aquestion. It's not stating clearly that,
hey, your father passed away onthis date. It's usually did your
father die or did your father passIt's a question. It's a fucking question.

This is a conversation, that's what'shappening. It's an interview and you're
the interviewee and you're just telling themeverything they need to know. So who,

work, and it'd be interesting toknow how you test them and determine that
they are real, because I've doneI mean, this is anecdotal, of
course, I mean just it's anecdotal. But I've done psychic readings in the
middle of lectures, and I've gottenspot on with stuff. Sometimes I've been

like dead on, like dead onwith details like dates and names, specific
names, and other times it's beenmore general. But I've gotten information out
of people, so I could Icould pass depending on the situation. I'm
not a pro with this I'm Ijust do it as like a little hobby
here and there, just to seewhat happens. But I've been good enough

to convince people that I was psychic, where I had actually had to run
after them after a lecture and likereally put it in their head like,
hey, I am not psychic.I made it up. I tricked you,
but to them I was real,I was genuine. So it's really
easy to do, and it's it'sit's harder to be like real good to

get up on stage. Like Iwould never get up on stage. Maybe
maybe I would. I don't know. It depends on how much I had
to drink. But uh, Iwouldn't really get up on stage and try
to do any kind of readings likethat. Cold readings. M just it's
not my thing. Maybe with somepractice I could do it, but I

I think it goes in hand inhand with cold reading. Basically you're

is your father passed? Is thisyou're asking for information. It's fishing
for information. You're trying to getinformation out of the people that you're reading.
I've seen it a lot. WhenI do, I really have to
bring up one of my finger counters. I know I've talked about it before,

but you have to count how manyquestions are being asked during reading.
And I think I mentioned it.I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it. Where
I average about two questions a minutewhen I sit for readings, Like,
I don't average two questions, theyaverage asking me about two questions every minute
for a fifteen minute reading, whichis a lot. That's a lot.

That's thirty freaking questions when you're supposedto be like talking to my dead loved
one. If if they're standing,if that ghost you know of my great
uncle friend or something that's standing behindme, you should be able to tell
me what they're wearing, what they'resaying, give me the information, not

there. So psychics were on mymind and I felt like talking about it

two psychics involved. One of themgave predictions after she had went missing,

at people's faces and judge whether you'reon the right track or you're not on

we didn't know, and then bothof us would look each other and practice
doing readings. And it was justbased solely on looking at the person.
You got like a minute or twoto look at them, and which was
weird because you're actually looking a strangerup and down with them watching you.

I was the guy I was partneredup with told me I was about ninety
nine percent accurate because I just lookingat everything on him and getting the clues.

he was. And he didn't evenrealize um that he was doing you know,
stuff like this or like that,and he tells you yes or no,
