Whether you are thinking of dating (again), going through a divorce or desire to rekindle the passion in your current relationship, visit https://ChelCartmill.com for my exclusive, free resources.

Welcome to the Skinny Dipping with Chel Podcast, with your host Chel Cartmill.

This show is designed to enlighten and empower you to have the relationship you desire. Join me each week as we expose the truth and break down the myths to what it takes to have those trusting, passionate, loving, and very fun relationships.

All of the information we'll be sharing in the upcoming episodes will be helpful for all relationships. That could be for coworkers, siblings, children, friends, neighbors, parents, whatever it may be.

Why is it named ‘Skinny Dipping’? Let's think of it as a metaphor for relationships. When we're in a relationship - whether you're wanting to be in a relationship and you're wanting to dip your toe in the water just a little bit before completely diving all in, or you're in a marriage or you're in a longterm relationship and you really want to take it to the next level and have some real excitement and joy - it's going to take a lot of vulnerability; and that means sharing and being all in.

Now, what does it not mean? It's not talking about dating and taking all your clothes off and jumping into bed with someone. That's definitely not the point of this podcast.

If you're looking for a fulfilling relationship where you can take it to the next level of vulnerability and true intimate connection spiritually, emotionally, physically, everything you really are looking for, you're going to find that in these episodes.

It takes courage to be open. It takes courage to be willing to get out of your comfort zone. It takes courage to go to your partner that you've with a long time and say, “There's something I really want to talk about and it may say sound different and not what you expect to hear from me, but it's a really vulnerable place for me because I'm sharing from my heart and idea that I had something I’m interested in, that I want your feedback on.”

And it also takes courage to answer them with truth and real direct to them because you want the best for that person and to lift that person up. Sometimes, just being nice and saying the right thing isn't the best way to take them to the next level in their life or to create that true intimacy and connection that you're seeking, because you want to know that they really have your best interest.

And when you feel heard and respected; and you feel loved and you feel seen, you can feel like you're skinny dipping in your relationship there: you're fully exposed. There's nothing that you can't talk about. There's nothing that you can't discuss that you can be truly honest in all aspects of the relationship.

Don't let it be you. Let it be both of you. Let it be you stepping out and knowing how to recognize flags. If you're starting to date, how do you recognize those flags to get out of unhealthy patterns before they even get started?

How do you say goodbye to someone you're just starting to date and realize that they're not on that same path? They're not willing to skinny dip in their relationship and be all-in, emotionally vulnerable and willing to peel back the layers.

So join us in the upcoming weeks as we discussed many topics. There'll be some interviews and there'll be different clients that I've worked with that may come on and share their experience going into the dating world or tips and things that they have learned over the years and their relationships, that have helped them be sustainable and fulfilling.

I'm excited to dive in and to break down all of the myths about relationships. Build up the truth. Get really honest - really raw, really vulnerable. Make a splash in
