Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Spacing Out with BB and Jason this week
covering Foundation season three, episode ten, The Darkness.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to Spacey. Now. I'm BB and I'm.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Jason, and we are discussing the Apple DV sci fi
series Foundation, and we've reached the finale of season three.
Oh boy, but before we talk about that, and boy
do we have things to talk about. You might be
listening to this on the Foundation podcast channel, but I'd
like you to check out the main channel Spacing Out
with BB and Jason. That's where we post everything. We've

(00:37):
covered a number of shows and movies and stuff on there.
The next thing we're going to be covering on that
podcast is the Predator movie series. We've actually recorded a
few of them already and we're going to get back
to that. The next thing out on the Foundation channel
will probably be next season of Foundation. More on that later.
In this episode, on New Terminus, Scale and our Forces

(00:59):
prepared to attack the Mule, Gail apparently kills him until
realizing the mule is actually Beta, revealed to be a
sibling from Rossall, Gail escapes to her ship, where Harry
appears and realizes Gail has lied to him about providing
a body on Trantor. Day returns to the palace and
presents the Merzal with the robot head from the Inheritance Cult.
Dusk destroys all potential successors, preserving only a single baby.

(01:20):
The Merzl's destroyed attempting to protect the youngest clone from Dusk,
but the Prime Radiance survives, and Dusk then kills Day
and consolidates power. Ambassador Quint presents Calay's book to the Librarian,
who is revealed to be part of the Second Foundation
with freem Palver. In de Merzals quarters, the Micajen robot
head sends a clasping signal which is received by Calai

(01:42):
and the robots on what appears to be the long
lost Earth's moon.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Vibe check. Did we like the episode overall?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Well, we've reached the end of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, wow, what a crazy episode.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
How did this episode shake out for you?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I really liked it. It was disgusting.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Oh oh yeah, a lot more gore in this episode.
We thought the last one was gory.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
But yeah, the Charrector really likes body horror and I'm
very interested to see where that goes. But I liked it.
I think it's like a great ending with like uh,
like it kind of like wraps everything up in a
way that leaves the door open for the future. But

(02:31):
you feel like this is a great ending to the storyline,
like we find out that the Mule is not who
we think it is and we have the second foundation
is like safe, and I don't know, I feel like
empire is gone, Like the fall of the Empire is
like done.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, it was a little more of a cliffhanger than
I was expecting. I thought it would there would be
more solid ending to some of these storylines at least,
but it was definitely turned the tables and rearranged all
the power structures and everything. There's things in here that
we'll talk about that didn't get addressed in this episode really,
but yeah, it definitely had some twists and turns I think,

(03:11):
I mean, overall for the show and the season in particular,
like the acting has been incredibly strong, production value is
always good, and it just had a lot of energy.
I think a lot of it comes from there being
like kind of a ticking clock aspect to it between
like we know the confrontation with the Mules coming brother
day is like running out of time. Every episode, So

(03:32):
just our brother Dusk. Sorry, So yeah, a lot of tension.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Trivia time. What facts or news could we uncover? For
the Darkness?

Speaker 3 (03:42):
This was Foundation season three, episode ten, season finale titled
The Darkness. I Believe in a thing called Love.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Huh. I love that song and it's space too. I
think they're on a spaceship for that move for that video.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
This originally premiered on September twelfth, twenty twenty five, written
by Jane Netsminson and David Skoyer and directed by Roxanne
Dawson's directed these final three episodes. So Apple TV Plus
renewed the series for our fourth season. That just came
out I think about a week ago. Ian Goldberg and
David Cobb will be replacing David S. Goyer as showrunners,

(04:16):
though Goyer will still be involved as part of the
executive production team. So we kind of knew that there
was like an announcement that they had assembled a writer's room,
they just hadn't renewed the series. But now it's official.
Ian Goldberg has done some stuff that I've not liked
at all before he took over the show Fear of
the Walking Dead in the middle and it went pretty poorly,

(04:37):
so I was not excited to hear that he was
getting involved in this show. But I'm glad to see
that there's another name there. David Cobb has been a
writer on the show for a while, so there's still
some continuity there. And we have no idea how long
it's going to take, but each of the previous seasons
has had two years in between them, so I would
say we're probably looking at twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I know season one was delayed by Covidson three was
delayed by the writer's strike, and then some sort of
budgeting issue caused him to stop production for a while.
So it's possible to be a little bit faster, but
that's been the pattern so far.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Deep space dive, let's break down some of our thoughts
on the episode. You can share your thoughts with us
through email or social media. We may use your comments
on an upcoming episode.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
And here we go.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Po MG, dude into the darkness, Brother Darkness. That Taylor,
that that suit maker, she gave him that name. She
called him brother Darkness.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
She called him that. I'm wondering, is that what they referred.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
To them as they as sand or whatever?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah, do they go you know, dawn day, dusk darkness.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Yeah, so that was the day he became darkness, and
I think he really God he went crazy. Beneane. Yeah,
and if that one guy would have done his job,
if that guy would have been like, nah, man, I
still got to do my job. I'm sorry you're not
old enough to walk around alone. You would have You know,

(06:09):
you think your job isn't that important because you're just
following around this old guy and in a palace that
you seem that seems pretty safe. But this motherfucker literally
took out planets. I was not surprised when he took
out his entire bloodline and fucking Demerzol like she couldn't
stop herself, she could not stop herself from protecting that

(06:31):
stupid baby. And I was really excited because like brother
Day came in and he's like, hey, I need to
show you this. You are the savior, Like I finally
fucking respect you, and I think you are the missing
piece to like fixing everything. And I don't know, like damn,

(06:52):
And I'm really sad that Demorzol isn't going to be
in the next episodes or whatever, because she fucking melted.
She straight up like decinerated unless they can save her head. Yeah,
that's what I'm wondering. But I mean it's even.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Her head like half melted. Yeah, so I mean there's
a possibility that the other robots can repair her. But yeah,
I mean that there was a lot of sadness over
this episode for me, just because all that hope. Yeah,
so much. I mean, Demerzal this season somehow became like
the heart of the show for me.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Mm hmmm. And if she doesn't get to realize her freedom,
that's just really tragic. Yeah. And it's scary that Brother
Dusk or Darkness U is now empire. Yeah, like that's
going to be very scary.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Yeah. So, like I mean, we knew he was a
bigger threat, but he has now positioned himself as the threat.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yes, and but he killed his other brother, he's getting
rid of the two thrones. In the background, though, brother
Don is still alive.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, so that was something that like the Mule has them. Yes,
we don't know how that shakes out, but like he
definitely thinks Donna's dead. Everyone does, except for the Mule.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah. I thought it was really funny how Beta was
able to just escape from that room. But looking back
at it, I'm like, she could have escaped at any
time she chose to be there. Yeah, she wasn't in,
she wasn't captive. So I think she played her part
really well. And that makes me wonder that whole time
that she was passed out, was she conscious of her

(08:28):
like presence and her where she was and who was
picking her up and taking.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Her I don't know, So that reveal it's like it's
breaking my brain a little bit because like I got
to think back through all of her actions through the
whole season.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
And well, we met her when the mule was covering
her son, right, they were just chilling and the mule
covered her son. She was son bathing. So we don't
know much about her, but she's an influencer. And she
got with one of the sons of the traders. Yeah,

(09:01):
so and like how real is their relationship, how real
is their love? How much of it was manipulation? I
mean kind of have to assume it it was all that, Yeah,
And like, yeah, like she probably was like orchestrating him,
pulling her through the battlefield, like willing him to love her.
That's fucked up. That fucking Gail killed the mule or

(09:23):
who she perceived to be the mule. But she's like,
there's still somebody in my head, dude. And I'm glad
that they jail breaked Maximo so that he couldn't affect her.
But she didn't have enough power to break the mule,
like the Mule is still out there, like Beta is
still alive. Was Gail was only able to thwart her
and long enough to get away, and she had to

(09:45):
get away fast.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Yeah, and she jumped from like lower orbit. Yeah, I
don't know if that's something you can do. Yeah. So yeah,
at first, I was like, why are they bringing Magnifico,
Like what is he going to bring to the mission
other than like be a liability when when the Mule
gets there, Yeah, it turns out they were a step
ahead in a sense with that. Yeah, even though they

(10:08):
were not a step ahead of who their enemy was.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I was just hopeful that, like everybody was going to
feel relief once the Mule died, they were going to
be free. And then when she got Pritchard, that was
like super sad when Pritchard went, you know, when he
fell for the Mule's tactics.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yeah, and thinking back, you know how Gale checked everybody.
So I think Torrin said like he loved the most Beta,
which made sense if they were married, But now we
can see like he was probably infected.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah, because she didn't know to look for that.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah, And they always talked about how Magnifico loved Beta.
I'm just like why because she was nice to him.
How do you feel about the Beta reveal?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Well, I think you when we talked about the spoiler section,
I was hoping she was going to be a savior,
and so I think the reveal was more shocking that way.
But I think it's cool. I like that. I love
girl power. I'm like very interested in like the idea
of having puppets and like throwing people off your scent

(11:15):
and working both sides of the aisle and like not
revealing yourself until the last critical moment. Like I enjoyed that.
Like I think that's really tactical and strategic, and I like,
I like that. I think that was a great reveal
for the for the episode and the show and like
and now yeah, you have to think back, like damn,

(11:37):
she's been the mule this whole time.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Yeah, it's going to like force the rewatch. Yeah, to
see how that all panned out, So, I mean, you
can talk openly about this now. I think this is
a big departure from the books where Magnifico was the
Mule and then Beto is actually essential in stopping the Mule,
so like to make her the mule is there's probably

(12:01):
a lot of angry people about it.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Actually really, oh man, it's you book lovers.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
But it's I mean, it's an interesting twist. It's also
kind of disappointing, just because, like I wanted to see
her become that hero.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
That she's an anti hero, though the Mule has always
been an anti hero, like a six sadistic loser who
took their powers and made them what they could be.
So I don't know, I think it's cool that she
that's her origin. So the reason the story wasn't adding
up for you know, that guy and that suit, whoever

(12:35):
the fuck he was? Who was that guy the mule,
the guy the dude with a jacket who had a
little minion and went around, who is he? If the
Mule was Beta this whole time? And that was Beta's
story that he was telling Selden what was his story?

Speaker 3 (12:52):
There's something in like a plot summer I read that
said that the Mule, the boy Mule, and Beta were
the sibling in that story. Oh, I don't know that.
I got that from the episode.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Though, No, I didn't. So he was the baby or
she was. She looks younger than him, Yeah, which would
explain why he had powers too. Yeah, but they didn't
explain it like that he was they were siblings. That
wasn't clear.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
No, So I guess we'll put a pen in that.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah, that's interesting. I'm just saying, like, it's weird that
you know, she.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Was that baby and was like manipulating the parents from
the start. Oh, that's weird.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Oh man, No, not a baby like that. Okay. There's
too many unanswered questions with Beta and the boy Mule
and the girl Mule.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Anyway, So that part of the story was action packed,
full of twist and then everything Brother Darkness did so.
Brother Darkness, as we'll call him now, seemed to interpret
Harry Selton's theory that the period of darkness following the
Empire would actually be his rule.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yeah. That's very interesting, very semantic of him. Yeah, and
I think like a self fulfilling prophecy, Like very interesting
the way that I'm thinking of the way the timeline
was jiggling and wiggling and incomplete. I think that was
Brother Darkness not quite committing yet to the full plan

(14:20):
until the very last moment, and the Mule not revealing
themselves until the very last moment.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
When Brother Day first returned and like lays his head
into Merzl's lap, I was really worried that like she
was going to snap his neck at that moment.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
I was worried that they were wasting time because Brother
Darkness was wreaking havoc. I'm like, we don't have time
for this. Y'all need to put an eye on that
crazy motherfucker. And I love that Drummerzel had enough foresight
to guide the Foundation's ambassador towards the Second Foundation, because

(14:59):
that was Demerzol's big conundrum, her big what did she
call it paradox, that she was gonna let the Foundation
stay in the library, but she didn't know if she
was going to like betray them or save them, And
in the end she didn't have to do anything. She
just gave them refuge. So it's very interesting that there's

(15:23):
still time for Gail and the Mule to meet in
that library and fulfill that prophecy of them like, yeah,
coming together again.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Yeah, And she's brought the Second Foundation into the library,
which she talked about. That's where the robots were hiding
when they were being persecuted. And the Second Foundation being
located like on Trantor is also in the novels, is
kind of like hidden where you blast expected to.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Be and like Gail has no idea where they're at. Yeah,
So where is she going? Far away getting away from
the Mule.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yeah. I don't know where she would have to go
at this point, she can't go.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
But she knows she ends up in Trantor because Demerzel
told her you're going to be in Trantor when it
goes dark. So maybe she'll try to go there because
that's where she knows her future lies. I don't know.
Maybe because she can't go to the Second Foundation because
the Mule knows where that's at now, yeah, or the
old planet where they were, So I feel like the

(16:26):
only option is Trantor. That's where she knows she'll confront
the Mule again, is in Trantor, so maybe she'll go there.
I thought it was messed up that she just lied
to Harry Selden's ghost.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Yeah, so I mean a lot of loose ends that
we don't know what they mean yet, but that Harry
Selden definitely feels betrayed, and then you know, Gail jumps away,
So no idea what that means for that virtual characters
are being confused.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
On the topic of being confused, when that robot brain
transmits its connections synaps and it sends out a fun
little galactic map in Drumosol's room, and then we cut
to these two beans. We know one of them because
she gave Harry Selden life. But then there's this other
guy there who looks like a robot, talks like a robot.

(17:16):
It might be a goddamn robot. And they're like talking
about Demerzol because they know her, and they're like, she
can't do this. Oh, somebody's getting us involved. What the fuck, dude,
what the fuck? This door that just flew open is
so fucking crazy. And to show us Earth, to show
us Earth is crazy.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Yeah, So there's been casual mentions of Earth throughout the show,
and Earth is a you know, it's a lost planet.
They don't know where it is. It's kind of a
mythical idea at this point in their world, and a
good chunk of the later books involved, like the Search
for Earth, so it's all say on that. But yeah,
I'm very I was wondering if they were going to

(17:56):
go there with the series or not, and looks like
we're going what they're setting it up. We have still
a lot of questions about Kylee and we didn't get
them answered this time, but we can see that she's
going to be part of the next season for sure.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, do you have anything else to add? Oh just
said I don't want to wait two years. Hopefully we won't.
Last time it was a pandemic, and then the year
after that it was a writer strike. Worst thing that
could happens, maybe like a civil war or something.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Well, they film a lot of this overseas, so I mean,
so they've killed brother Day, but I do wonder if
we'll see the actor Lee Pace again since we have
a brother Don that could age. Yeah, as we've mentioned
a few times before, there was the brother Dawn from
season two that could have survived some way if he
extended his life anyway through cryo sleep or whatever. Yeah,

(18:49):
or had descendants. But yeah, I mean I feel like
I'm still just trying to process every really.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Yeah, I'm like realing like a lot has happened, Like
seeing all those dismembered corpses of Empire just piled up
in a room just.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Like slapping down from the ceiling.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Yeah, like slopping literally like what it was gross. And
then like seeing brother Darkness disintegrate not only like a baby,
but also like the person who was protecting Empire this
whole time. Yeah, and that was tough. I didn't want
to see her die like that, and I hope she's

(19:29):
not dead, but it's going to be tough, like coming
back from that, yeah death. Yeah. I did like the
visual of the vault traveling in space and infiltrating that
big space station that was housing the mule and all that,
and how it like like it kind of reminded me

(19:49):
of like a spore of like an infection or something
going up the walls. I thought that was going to
play into it a little bit more, but it was
just kind of like dramatic effect that says, Harry Selden's here,
and then Harry Seldon shows up and everybody shoots at
Harry Selden.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
But it like it was like stupid, Oh so when
Harry Selden had a confrontation with the Mule, the Mule
as we knew him and we were on here, like,
why didn't he just kill him there? Because Harry Selden
could tell that something was off anyway, and he couldn't
put his finger on it, but he knew that there
was more, there was more to this.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
I'm wondering what's going to happen now that Harry Selden
is in the same place as the Mule, Like now
that he can actually speak to Beta directly, if there's
going to be any conversation there. And then at the
end when Brother Darkness was sitting on the throne and
he had the prime Radiant, that seemed ominous, right, Yeah,

(20:45):
like he has access to that one lady? Or wait,
how do you access that lady? How do you hang
out with her? How did Demerzel get hold of her?
She had to have the book, right, It's not clear. Yeah, No,
I think it's more that he has access to psycho
hist Yeah. Yeah, and seeing how time unfolds. Yeah, I
wonder how long he can live past his delivery date

(21:08):
whatever his expiration date. I don't know, Nanobytes, He was
like laughing it up when he was getting beat up,
and then he's like, let me double check, you don't
have your nanobytes, right, Papeo did. And I think we
talked about this a little bit. It was kind of
like fucked up that brother Don couldn't be saved or
be involved because there was no wheelchair or like way

(21:30):
for him to like leave the room. And and I
think I mentioned, like, yeah, the future is inaccessible, like
it's not built for you handicap motherfuckers apparently, And like
it's weird because that means like he's been laying in
that bed with no way of like getting going to
the bathroom or like doing any sort of like movements.

(21:52):
He was just laying in that bed kind of rotting.
I mean, does he have a catheter? How's this working?

Speaker 3 (21:58):
I think they had like metal care going on.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Maybe it's not very clear. I'm just saying, like usually
if you have somebody who's bedbound, you got to toilet
them somehow. You think I didn't see anybody come in
and like bedpan him, But then again, I don't even
think we've seen a toilet in an empire's house. Demerzel
don't use the restroom. They definitely eat. They definitely eat,

(22:23):
but do they shit? And then when that one guy
died in that toilet, that was weird. The leader of
the foundation, Oh yeah, yeah, that toilet was weird. If
it was a toilet or was it a sink where
you wash your hands situation. Yeah, And I wish they
would have shown his bathroom. He said, Oh, well, he
has a secret bathroom right under here. We didn't see

(22:43):
the bathroom, show us the future bathroom. I would love
to see the bathroom in the future. I'm just saying
I don't know. Sorry to get on this bathroom tangent,
but I thought it was fucked up that they could
save Dot and Don doesn't know anything about who the
mule is. He didn't get to see Gail because they're buddies,
and he maybe he's sore, you know, a saying Gale

(23:05):
might have been like a sore spot because of what
she did to him, causing that planet to be destroyed.
So many planets got destroyed this season.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Yeah, I was definitely expecting something more from Dawn in
this episode, with the either reunitit Gale or teaming up
with Beta in some way before we knew she was
a mule. But I know, he's kind of just like
he gave.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Well, and that's common, like for somebody who's experienced like
a disabling event, there's a moment in that time, Like
there's some time that has to pass before you can
get to acceptance if you ever get to acceptance of
your disability, or you're the change in your you know,

(23:49):
way that you moved through life anymore. So I think
it's like still very soon for him to be expected
to have that same vigor for life that he used to.
But it just it sucks that they had to like
just kind of leave him there. Like then, the thing is,
like that's so fucking telling of how we treat disabled
people today, you know. I'm thinking of like what happened

(24:13):
in the hospitals and during Katrina and shit like that,
like where people were just left in hospitals to die
because they couldn't evacuate safely. So it sucks. It sucks
that there's no solutions in the future too, in the
perceived future. But now I know, like Beta probably didn't
want him to get rescued or be involved. I wonderful
what her plan is for him. She's gonna probably confront

(24:36):
old Man with him, but she needs to get nanobites
in that motherfucker.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Astraal Queen, who was the standout character in the episode.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
I think I'm gonna give it to brother day because
he journeyed home, Like it was such a relief to
see him in the palace.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Yeah, and I'm looking like so broken by.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
That, yeah yeah. And then like him finally finding Germerzol
kind of forgiving himself and forgiving her and coming to
terms with their relationship and what she's really done and
who she really is and understanding all of.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
That and what he heaving all of the empire has
done to her.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
That enslavement, that like remorse and that like clarity for
him to try to save her, and like him working
on the robot by himself and getting it to work,
and then him like running to her trying to save
her again, telling her, don't do it, you know, and
then him dying ultimately at the hands of his own

(25:42):
brother and realizing that he was the bad guy. He
was the big bad that was coming and he couldn't
do anything to save it from what he you know,
that's how he died, like thinking that there was nothing
he did, but he did fix that robot. He did
transmit that message to Earth like a distress signals almost,
So I think I'm gonna give it to him, although

(26:04):
I almost gave it to Germizol and I almost gave
it to Gail for doing that sick skydiving, and I
think Gail is like a very close second though, like
Gail was like doing shit with the mule.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Yeah, Gail has been pretty awesome this season.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Yeah, who are you going to give it to?

Speaker 3 (26:22):
I am giving it to Brother Darkness now I'm not. Yeah,
I think I want to give it to Demersal. Demersal,
it's because I wanted so much more for her. Yeah,
her freedom was at hand. Potentially we didn't know what
was going to happen. When she communicated with that robot.
She could have translated the signal. She could have said,

(26:43):
there is an Earth. What a revelation that would have been.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Yeah, that's sad. I think the the ending was sad.
It's really sad. I hope they can keep the continuity
and the feelings and the I like the complexity of
the show now, like at the beginning and I think
it was too complex and too heady, but now I
think it's more based on emotion there's so much emotion
in the show now that it's like so human, and

(27:10):
I'm hopeful that the next season will have that, even
though we do have quite a couple, like a couple
of non human elements in here, like Harry Seldon and
the robot people.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
All Right, since we're at the end of the season,
we can add up all of our astral queens and
see who was on top. So there's ten episodes. We
each picked one, so there's twenty votes each. So for
season three, we have a tie at the top between
Brother Don and Brother Day what and.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
The two dead brothers. Yeah, well they're not. Don is
winning right now because he's alive, right.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
He wins by being present to accept before and then
so Gail came in second with three votes, and then
the merzil torn and Han had too and Edling Mee
had one vote. But I thought this was interesting because
in season two we didn't vote for the emperors ever
except for I think Brother Don got one.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
That's very interesting.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
So it's like the shift that they.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Made to being on top to not getting a single vote.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
I like this new Gail as well. Gail was not
voted in season two also, Yeah, so all these characters
coming in strong.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
I think the writing's just getting better. I'm very very
hopeful for the writing to continue to be better and
that the characters continue to be strong and willful, because
that's what gets you the vote.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, and then if we look at the entire series, now,
for season one, we only did one episode and we
did one astral Queen each, so it kind of skews
the numbers a little bit. But looking at the full series,
was actually a five way tie for on top. Oh yeah,
between brother Don Brother Day Queen Saah Demersal and Salvor
Harden Queen Sarah the Cloud Queen the Cloud Queen. So yeah,

(29:01):
so she probably won't remain there unless she comes back,
but that's crazy. Well yeah, and then you know, there's
a lot of characters that are only in for one season,
so they're not going to be in the running a
long time. But it's thought that was interesting that the
characters we chose are very different this season than last season.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
I'm interested to see what new characters will come in
the next interpretation of Foundation.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Yeah, and it's interesting that I don't know that they're
going to do a time jump this time. It feels
like we need to continue right where we are, so
it might not be like a whole new cast, but
we are bringing in robots.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
It seems like, yes, robots finally, and I did.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Love that we got to see a little flashback of Salvor.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Yeah, that was nice. Keeping here on close in mind.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
That wraps up our coverage of season three of Foundation.
So for the as I said, this is on two
different podcast feeds, So if you're on a Foundation podcast feed,
I imagine the next time we'll be back on here,
it's for season four. If they're happens to be like
a lot of news coming out, or if we want
to do like a quick recap episode beforehand, we might

(30:06):
do that, but this will basically be in cryo sleep
until then. But on our main podcast, spacing out BB
and Jason, we're moving into the Predator movies and that
will hopefully time out to catch a Predator of bad
Lands in theaters in November, and after that we'll be
looking at Alien Earth, which.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
That's the show.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Yeah, okay, yeah, so that has could probably it's either
completely released or almost all released at this point, but
we'll be getting to it later. Since we've been busy
with Foundation and I think that's the show for us.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, see you in space, Cowboy. That's not from this show.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
I didn't have a better ending, so.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Thank you for spacing out with BB and Jason. You
can help us out by subscribing and leaving a positive
