Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's begin our meditation together, allowing the spiritual sunshine that
is consciousness to just be all consciousnesses, from the light
of God, from the light of life. Everything you experience

(00:25):
is part of consciousness. There's no gaining it, there's no
escaping it. In the waking state. Allow that awareness of

(00:46):
consciousness to bring you to the natural recognition of I am.
In fact, the sense of I am surrounds all consciousness.
It's the root of consciousness, that I am, that I am.

(01:11):
Allow whatever you're feeling right now, what sensing, thinking about,
to bring you to an awareness of that I am,
of that consciousness, which is the only thing you can

(01:32):
know that you experience as your own consciousness. Everything else
is conjecture, this belief. The only thing we truly know
is that we are, and that we experience something. That

(01:54):
something is the light of awareness, you could call it.

(02:16):
If you find yourself ruminating thinking about other things, of course,
allow that to remind you that what you are experiencing
is consciousness. But also perhaps pick up a mantra for

(02:38):
a moment, just to quiet some of the dialogue. Perhaps
it's light of God, perhaps it's consciousness. Earlier, my mantra

(02:59):
was Guru dev But whatever it is for you doesn't
have to be too special. Every word is consciousness, no greater,
no less. If it bothers you what you're feeling in

(03:32):
any moment, let that be a blessing, something that takes
you out of your ruminating, or whatever words are going
through your head because it's uncomfortable, or whatever it is fearful.
Let it be as sharp as it is, so that
it reminds you of consciousness, reminds you to come into presence.

(04:05):
Many people say, on the verge of death, for example,
they were more present than they'd ever been. Funny enough,
and so allow those hard moments, whatever it is, to
bring you into greater awareness, any pains in your body,

(04:27):
any lingering, feelings of doubt, or whatever it is. Notice
that even the belief that we are our bodies, as

(04:54):
Shrigatta has said, is consciousness. Tregard of Maserata. Allow yourself
to just be, perhaps using my words to distract from

(05:14):
your inner monologue. Notice that this belief in our bodies
as ourselves is just that. But we experience our bodies,

(05:36):
our minds, our earth, our sky, our friends, our foes,
our anger, our joy. All things happen either in us
or we are in them, so to speak, in the body.

(06:03):
They happen in consciousness to us, and it seems as
though we're in our bodies to experience all of them
outside of us, including our mind and the feelings and
our limbs, our heads, our torso, and so this light,

(06:35):
this consciousness is whatever you're experiencing, always changeful, even when not.
Just keep remembering what it is. For this meditation, we'll focus,

(07:00):
continue to focus in on what it is, what life
to us is what our experience of life is, and
that is consciousness. And indeed we are the ones experiencing consciousness,

(07:23):
experiencing our bodies, our earth, our feelings. We can't be
said to see what we truly are in that sense.

(07:48):
So allow Jesus' words, Christ's words, I am the vine,
you are the branches. To focus that understanding that the
core of what we are is Christ, that the root

(08:10):
of what experiences the branches is Christ. We are not
separate from Him. From God, known by many names cross time, centuries, millennia, eons,
God has had many names. We've been around for a

(08:33):
long time as a species, as a galaxy is a universe.
God has had many names, and yet the experience of
God is always in consciousness, or perhaps under consciousness the
one who experiences it, the vine versus the branches. The

(09:02):
Lord tells us to remain in him as he remains
in us, inviting us to identify, to not just identify,
but to center our experiences on what's in us. What
experiences quote unquote us, what experiences spiritual sunshine? What sees consciousness?

(09:32):
What is the root the source of that consciousness? That sunshine?
That's God, divine humanity, divine life, love, wisdom. So consciousness

(09:59):
is is the expression of our life, and that rootedness
is what sees it where true life is centered in God,
the vine versus the branches. So as our bodies change,

(10:23):
as we could older, or maybe some of us are
getting younger, who knows as everything changes, The earth can change,
the earth can indeed disappear, so can our bodies. Whatever's
next is next, And yet we experience consciousness. Consciousness experiences,

(10:49):
you could say, But you could also say the being
at the center in the sun experiences consciousness. The being
that is the vine, or perhaps the gardener, experiences consciousness,

(11:09):
experiences the growth of life, the trimming, the decay, the planting,
the sprouting. Indeed, in that analogy where Christ caused God

(11:38):
the gardener, we can come to settle in our peace,
knowing that it is God who trims, despite the scissors
sometimes being sharp, a bruised, being hurt, painful, even the

(12:08):
burning of the outcroppings being what it is, and yet
still that rootedness, that vine remains, That gardener is there
to be sure that the vine continues to grow. Even

(12:30):
if we lose some of what we thought was us surprize, possession, body, mind, material,
idea of who we are. Someone in our lives might

(12:52):
seem to walk away, we might walk away from who
we are, who we were, and yet here we are
still seeing it one with everyone else who sees it

(13:16):
with little actual control. Yes, there's will, there's feeling, there's love.
But we didn't choose to be born the way we were,
and the earth the way we were, at least not
this mind didn't choose. We have no memory for the

(13:39):
most part of that, and so to us we're given
who we are. In a sense, even our willingness to will,
to change, to love, to hate, like a gift, comes unbidden,
expressing itself and so allowing ourselves to settle allowing ourselves

(14:17):
to identify more with the one who sees that buying
that gardener, the true being that we all share. And

(14:39):
as we continue this meditation, we will allow a little
more space, a little more quieted using mantra as our
minds take over and thought knowing that whatever we experience

(15:24):
is consciousness rooted in the sense of I am the
root of consciousness. Let that be our teacher for the day.

(15:49):
Just paying attention to how everything is consciousness, how everything
as I am, Just following our experience, not letting negativity

(16:11):
get us down. It's just another type of reminder that
what we experience is consciousness, sometimes a sharp reminder. Sometimes

(16:42):
peace and a sense of peace. Anyway, a sense of
happiness can delude us into distractedness from our beingness, leading
to strife, a feeling of being separate, leading to fear.

(17:07):
So allow that reminder, whether positive or negative, to bring
you to the greater piece, the greater bliss of what
you are. Not jumping there ourselves because we can't, because
it's what we already are, but instead just paying attention

(17:30):
to that sense of I am, that sense of consciousness
between every word, between every thought, and as every thought,
as every word. Note that everyone else is the same,

(18:35):
with a mind that comes unbidden, with the same vine,
the same gardener, Christ, God, Goddess, Peace itself, life itself.

(19:00):
I might call nothingness infinity potential energy. Note that despite

(19:56):
the closeness of our senses in the body, and deside
the closeness of our minds, these things appear like the
earth two together always, or in deep sleep not at all,

(20:19):
or in dreams with the dream world in all three
of these states, appearing to us, appearing as us in
us to us. So just hold your sense of self

(21:11):
as the body or whatever it is. Your sense of
self expresses itself as in your head and your concepts.
Just hold that as consciousness, another form, another object in consciousness,
that feeling of this is me, and this is them

(21:45):
and that person, and this is the earth and that thing.
All these forms of consciousness appear to us to others
in their own right, to others that can never be
seen either that true higher self, that one who sees.

(22:14):
This is why the scriptures say no one has seen
the Father except for the one who comes from the Father.
And indeed no one can paint a picture of the Father.
No one can describe quote unquote the Father, because it's unseeable.

(22:37):
The true being that we are is the one who knows,
not the one who's known. A mirror appears of this
divine Mother and everything we experienced. That's why we call

(22:59):
it Earth, our Mother, the universe, God herself. All things
are born from God in God, to God as God.
Tools might be blunt, might be scary to one identified

(23:26):
as a body mind, but not to the one who
sees that fear, not to you, not to the one
who sees that sense of I am the person, not

(23:50):
to you. The one who sees these things isn't anxious.
Perhaps an anxious being walking across the road, driving in
their car, sees one in the mirror. But the one

(24:17):
who sees that isn't that anxious being, at least not
in isolation. It is that I, ancient being that we
call the universe, that isn't anxious as a whole, but
might express it as a tool to remind us of

(24:47):
who we are, to give us motivation, to remind us
of our need and want, our desire to become what
we are, which is love, a love for love, a
love for life, a love for this universe. Despite our

(25:13):
narrative of woe at times, there is no woe for
this one, for it is the only one. Thanks everyone,

(25:37):
Thanks for joining us here at Spiritual Sunshine. I'm happy
we could share a little meditation together, especially if you've
made it this far. So go forth knowing that you
are loved and you are love. Peace,
