Speaker 1 (00:32):
We are a day early and a man down, but
happy fourth of July. This is the Spitball Media podcast.
We're spitting out the top entertainment stories of the week,
and boy were we glad we moved the show to today.
My name is John Draper joining me. He is the
Prince of Philadelphia. He runs that town. His name is
Shaheen Jaheen. Of all days for us to move the show,

(00:54):
the biggest entertainment story of the year is breaking right now.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
I don't really run that town anymore, man, I kind
of like stroll the town nowadays. I'm almost urbs verbs. Yeah,
I stroll the urbs, man, I don't. I don't run.
I stroll the verbs and feed the squirrels now down.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
That's that's what my life is, man. So but yeah, dude,
I mean, what a better day to fucking do it

holiday weekend.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah. I work tomorrow and then I'm off on Friday.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
So yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Hey man, I'm still happy. I'll take a three day weekend,
you know.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
For sure. For sure. I know a bunch of people
that took off the Monday, And at first I was like, oh,
that seems like a waste, But now I'm like, fuck,
that sounds awesome.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I can't take all on Mondays ever, man, Yeah, I
take all of Mondays. It hurts me for the rest
of the week.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
So yeah, yeah, there's sometimes these sales type jobs. You know,
you gotta watch your.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Piece because I get all my leads. So whatever leads
came from the weekend. If I'm not there on Monday,
we don't get to split it. I miss out on
my whole portion.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Someone else just does it. Yeah, someone else just gets
some money. And that's a that's the incentive to make
people not take off. That's literally what that is. Isn't
America great? But it is fourth of July. So if
you know you're gonna be celebrating, please be careful. If
you're drinking, please don't drive. And please we say this
I think every year. Be considerate of animals and fireworks.

(04:02):
This is something Sean I take very very seriously. In
B Show two for that matter, This is not something
that you know, we say sort of like glib to
be glib. You know, there's a lot of fun. Fireworks
are fun, they're great, but they also shot, as you know,
can be very very incredibly uncomfortable for domesticated animals and

(04:23):
wild animals.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
I think, you know, a lot of people are concerned
about dogs and cats, which is obviously understandable. I'm more
so worried about the squirrels and the birds that are
living out in the wild and all of a sudden,
the firework is going into their fucking nests, you know
what I mean, like that fires.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I try to be considerate. I don't know how people
are just cool with I.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Don't know either, and you know I don't know either.
You know, my dog just turned one, Winnie Pickles, she
just turned one this week, and she gets very scared
of loud noises. I don't really live in an area
where I think I gotta worry about that, but I'm
closer to like the downtown area here, and I've capital
in New York and they do a big display, which
is lovely. It's very far away, but you know, you

(05:05):
hear that shit. And I used to live near a
campus and they did fireworks a lot. It was a
major university. So they're doing fireworks for football and homecoming
and you know this and that, So please be considerate
and also be careful because I you know, I used
to love fireworks, but now that I'm an old motherfucker,
they're quite dangerous. My hearing is shot, and you know
I'm gonna be probably holding my dog for dear life

(05:27):
Friday night, smoking a cigar. But we have listen, We're
just gonna get right into it because we have some
great stuff we want to check out. But before we
go into that shot, who do we got in a
chat tonight?

Speaker 4 (05:38):
There?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Well, let's take a look. Man, Yeah, we got missing
out on the chat over here. We got Don Stony.
Shout out to Don Stony. I believe he gave us.
He pretty much gave us the title for last week's show.
I think probably twenty dongs later is what he mentioned.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I said twenty eight inches, He said twenty eight dongs.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah. Shout out to Chris Man. Views up, Chris, yeah,
shut up to him. We got, of course to buy
you geeks, Chris Castro You geeks? What John j I
d flip that upside down? And he is the devil. Yes,
let's see who else we got in here. We've got

(06:20):
slave cheeks in here, slave cheeks belief is here, Oh,
Robbie Richmond in the UK.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Robbie rich and I might be coming to London in
a couple of weeks. I'll hit you up offline, but
I might be in London and Manchester for a day, uh,
visiting my kid brother who's on tour.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Shout up and rams fan grams fan Hey now rich
Dow and ah.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
He's very happy because the Pirates actually making the Mets.
The Mets making the made the Pirates look like the
sixty sixty eight Yankees or some ship.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah. I actually joined uh rich Dowe on the show
two weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Oh that's right. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
We were talking about music and it's influenced. So go
check that out. Hey now, rich Dow is the uh YouTube?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yes, hey now, rich.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Dow trying to see if there's anybody else.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
We got Kyle Kyle's chilling with us in there.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
It's probably my favorite Kyle, I know about three Kyle's
my whole life.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
I know, it's a very Do you count Kyle Do
you count Kyle Barbelowski from South Park as one of
the Kyle's you know? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Four.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Now shout out the Dirk Dirk Dirk Master, which is
his name. Every week, man, I love it. It's hard
to keep up with Dirk you have.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, you gotta try to figure out whay to keep
up with Dirk.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, I think that's about it.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
All right, Well, thank you guys for chilling on a
on an off night with us, and of course, uh
you know, happy fourth roughly to you guys. Screat you can.
I just like saying that. But shod the big story,
no bigger story, and this might be the biggest story
of the year and stamement wise. Uh, Puff Daddy was
facing serious, serious jail time for sex trafficking rico. Uh

(07:57):
and he beat all of it except for two K.
This is of driving to acquire a prostitute. After all
is said and done, Puffy's getting hit like a pedestrian.
People thought he was down and out shot. It seemed
like the evidence was overwhelming, the embarrassment, the baby oil,
the semen on the chests, and now he's just a

(08:19):
guy who's gonna go to prison for a little bit
for trying to get some prostitutes. No one shot had
this outcome, No one predicted this outcome. But it's unbelievable
what's happened.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, I'm honestly shocked, man. I legitimately thought I was
never gonna see puffy free, puffy free again. Yeah, because
he was looking at life pretty much. I mean he's
like a six yearth old man.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
He was fifty six, fifty seven maybe fifty six.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
So I mean either way, even if he got twenty years,
you're done, man.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, yeah, you get out of jail. Your uncle Junior's
age from the Sopranos. I mean, it's not really a
lot going on.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
As far as the prostitution charges.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Man.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I mean, I think he's gonna pretty much be free
anytime soon, because I mean that's all gonna be time served.
He's been in for what, well, each.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Charge carries zero to ten. Now they're not going to
give him tu Yeah, he's been in jail for a bit,
maybe a year or so. I would say maybe they
might settle on four or five years, which means he'll
have to serve a little bit.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
But I mean, seo, I think, ye, man, he's gonna
be well.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
He was denied bail, which makes me think they're gonna
give They're gonna try to hang him hard on the
actual charges. A slave cheek is in there was up
slave cheeks. Look, none of us were there. How much
did you file follow this trial? I really didn't follow
it other than bits and pieces, So I don't know
how weak the case was or how split the jury was.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah, I mean I didn't. I didn't really close it
as a I didn't follow it as close as I
probably should have, or I thought I would have. I
just wish we would have got some live streaming from
the courthouse, just like we get with the Johnny Depp.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
So they wouldn't allow it. They wouldn't allow.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah, that I would have been I would have been
locked in on a daily basis. I would have been
watching the puppy proput But I mean I watched the
DJ Academics. He pretty much discussed it on a daily basis.
I watched, you know, a little clips here and there.
I know the racketeering charges and all that that that
wasn't gonna.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Say that was huge. So the racketeering charges, which is
shortened for rico, which is just they sweep you in
a conspiracy, and that's the one. I mean, this is
what ended the mafia and a lot of cities, John Gotti.
This is how they get you, uh, this is how
the FED. And these are federal charges versus say, the
prostitution charges are state charges. So you know, it's a

(10:31):
big difference between RICO or six trafficking which is a
federal which is trafficking, you know, somewhat for sexual purposes
across state lines, which is a federal charge, versus oh,
I was driving to hire a prostitute and the evidence
is overwhelming. You know, he's, he's These are very pedestrian charges.
But the big story currently as we're recording this is

(10:54):
the shock that he was denied bail. Had he already
if the judge was already sentencing is not happening for
a little bit, but had had the charges the charges
were so minor, right, you know, you would think that
because he's been in jail as long as he might
have had to serve, they would release him on bail

(11:16):
and then get him for time served. The fact that
they denied bail huge thing like this, Like just every
news channel had this, the internet had this shot. We
don't know the whole story behind why they denied bail,
but you have to admit that is making it seem
like perhaps he will be doing some measure of serious time.

(11:37):
Why else would they deny bail.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
What do you want the hell come to be? Do
you want to see him do at least five years,
because I feel like he should do five years.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, five years sounds about right, you know, cup two
and a half for each charge.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
At me, Like this guy was a fucking oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
And this is the other thing too, Let's not forget
now we all know about the baby oil, the coming
on guys chest that making people drink it. Like this
dude is not just gonna start going back to the
Hamptons next summer and like everything is still yo.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
No, he has to go and hide out, man, Dude.
The fact that he liked Cassie to save other men's
semen and then spit it on his nipples and rub
it like, dude, that's I like that, Like that shit
you've got to take to the grave with you.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
Man.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
The fact that that's out there and exposed. If I
was Puffy, I would you never see my face again
to hide.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
So yeah, and he's a billionaire, legit billionaire. I think
he's gonna pull a Russell Simmons and move to like Thailand.
You know he was smart, Yeah, you're smart, but Puffy,
you know he's an egomaniac. Uh. He could lean into
the sexual perversions and be like I'm just a freak man. Everybody,
you know, sex is a construct, man, it's binary, it's

(12:50):
not binary. Like, I don't think he'll do that. But
you know, I also shot a lot of people in
the hip hop community were already going like this and
just be like, hey, man, I'm you know, you know
I got nothing to do with this ship, you know
what I mean? So do you think so we think
maybe he'll do four or five years. Maybe I'm just.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Saying tops another two years, dude, I think he's gonna
be out in no time. Okay, I think he's gonna
be out in no time. And when he comes home, man,
I mean imagine that that coming home party, that's gonna
be a freak off life.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
It's gonna be a river of semen. He's gonna ride
on a float of semen, like he's gonna be like
on a unicorn, like a seahorse of seamen.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Everyone should invest in a fucking baby oil when he's
getting out there, that's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Well, did you see the fans in the city were
squirting baboy oil on each other? You know, a RAMS fan.
He was charged in New York City, So he'll do
these are these are not federal charges. He'll go to
state prison, like an upstate New York or if it's
a shorter thing, they might not. They might just let
him continue to serve in And I think he's in Brooklyn.

(14:01):
You know, he's in the same place show that Epstein
was in. Yeah, pretty sure.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yeah, I hope you're in the same cell man.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, I I you know, I I this was not
an outcome that anybody predicted, you know, And this also
makes a shot the prosecutors look awful, like just absolutely
awful that all of these serious charges were so dismissed,
and then the lightest of the charge, the traveling for prostitute,

(14:33):
which is like an afterthought after sex trafficking en Rico.
But yeah, I think he'll go to Thailand. He'll go
somewhere and he'll do like a podcast with somebody talking
about how he was a victim in all this and that,
you know, and that's why he left the country. But
who's to say, I mean, he might be Look, he

(14:55):
got denied bail. That's all we know right now was
bail is denied. He is not coming home. Apparently, according
to all the news stations, the family was planning on
him coming home like they were planning on a big celebration.
They already had to come. They had the guys ready
to shower him as he walked out, you know, kind
of like a tick or take parade of seamen shop.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Yeah, you know what makes me, uh like very uncomfortable.
I'm sure you know, man, you definitely were around in
the nineties. So all of Biggie's songs, he had so
many gay lines in there that were talking about you
look so good at sucker, Daddy's dick, and all kinds
of crazy shit. And now that Puffy's coming out like this,
I'm like, dude, I wonder what they were doing in
ninety five.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Yeah, I mean people were on the down low, especially
ninety five. You know you're talking about, you know, the
stigma of let alone a man coming out like liking men,
but someone in hip hop in ninety five being found
out gay. You're over, You're You're like, you need to
like leave, you have to fly to the moon. You know,

(15:59):
you just would not be accepted in the community. And
not that it's so acceptable now. I still think the
stigma is pretty strong. What do you think. I mean, obviously, look,
you've had like little nas X, you think it's changed.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Oh dude, there's so many gay rappers now. Man, there's
there's rappers talking about deep thrown dick left and right now. Man,
it's really change. Oh yeah, dudeis there's a guy uh,
I forget his name, but he's got a full beard.
He's got to.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Little an calls himself Little Anal. That would be a
good name, Little Anal because he just likes a little Anal. Dude.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
He's got a BBL and tits and wear's making.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
He's a beard.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Yeah, it's it's wild, man.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
This is not exactly the hip hop that I remember liking. Yeah,
it's not in the Tang Clan.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
It's changed.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
He's in the he's in the man asked Pou Tang
Poon Tang Clan.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Let me find him for you?

Speaker 1 (16:45):
You keep talking please, I mean, how would I not
listen to him? How would I not like it?

Speaker 2 (16:52):
You know?

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I just think it's fascinating that like Puffy will be free.
But also now everybody knows like this dude, this dude's
not gonna have a show's face at so many places, man,
like so many places, this dude, you know, for you
younger cats. And I was talking to my wife about this.
I was like, you know, he was one of maybe
the most famous people alive at one point he might

(17:15):
have been. He was like an A lister shot he
was like an A list celebrity, you know, after like
Biggie died and he started making his own records, and
he was in movies and TV shows and he was
always hanging out with people. Did you find did you
find this? This rapper with the Oh god, who's this?

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Let's see here he is?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
What the hell is his name? But yeah, this dude's
got a full like BBL like he's I don't know, man,
times have changed, man. Yeah, Saucy Santana.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Saucy Santana.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Saucy Santana.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Now is this an American rapper? Is this like a
UK rapper? Yes? Where's Where's Where is he from?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
I think Atlanta, Hot Lanta. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's
from Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
So okay, now I'm gonna go on a limb here.
Is this a gay individual?

Speaker 2 (18:12):
I think so? Okay, Okay, I think so, But then again,
you never know. Nowadays, I don't know because.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
TikTok clips with dudes dressed like this that are claiming
they're straight and they're in I don't.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Damn And people used to make fun of me for emo.
Saucy Santana is gay, okay, yeah, Missy Elliott, well like
mister Elliott, I mean, my goodness.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Dud, have you seen Missy Elliott?

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Reason, well, like Cissy Elliott. No, we we haven't been
friends for years.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Shah, yeah, you gotta you gotta see her, man, she
it's it's amazing. She's like, uh, she's aging backwards, which
is really yeah, which is insane. Saucy, you remember what
she used to look like, right, yeah, of course.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Check her out now, man.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
This is uh, let me see Missy Elliott, Miss Saucy Antanna.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
No, she looks so much. This is Missy Elliott today.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Oh my god, she looks great.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Happened? What happened? Probably in her fifties? Yeah, what happened?
How did she go backwards?

Speaker 1 (19:10):
She looks fantastic.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Yeah that's insane, man. This is literally Missy Elliot right now?

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Wow? How long does she look like this? This?

Speaker 2 (19:20):
From this? This used to be her like twenty years ago.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
She was she was always very pudgy, you know, she present?

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Oh my god, he's lost to sight she looked.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
But she also looks like fantastic.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
This is Missy Elliott. Bro, could you believe that? Look
at her.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
She's got to be maybe fifty years old.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yeah, this is Missy her.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Dude, do you think she probably had a like bypass
or did she go on Ozmpics?

Speaker 2 (19:44):
I probably.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
I mean, she's it's not even just her physical body,
it's her face. Looks amazing.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Yeah, she looks much younger.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Dude, Dude, you know who she looks like. She looks
like Erica bad now.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
She Yeah, look at this. Wow, insane.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
I would not have banged then, but I would bang
the now. Oh and somebody's saying rams fan is saying
she did this before was epic? What did she do?
Did she ever disclose this? This is a radical look departure.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Right, I'm telling you man, it's like the Benjamin Button deal. Dude,
She's like going agent backwards.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Wow, would bang? So we got some other news we
want to touch on a little bit here. Now. I
have not thought about this too much, but clearly a
lot of people sent this to me when this got announced.
It was announced yesterday that Korean groundbreaking film Old Boy,

(20:44):
which has many distinctions in the film community as being
a highly touted, highly reviewed work of art for its originality,
camera work, action scenes, so forth, and it was considered
job by many an untouchable movie. Spike Lee made a
subsequential remake that did not do well, that was a
box office bomb. Well we're getting another Old Boy. This

(21:08):
is not bullshit. There will be a Old Boy too, now, Sean,
My understanding is that this is a prequel to set
up the circumstances for people that have not seen the movie,
how they how this sort of revenge place and so
forth took place. What was your reaction to hearing about

(21:30):
Old Boy Part duh.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
I'm very disappointed because I actually not recently, but like
last year, I watched the remake, the Spike Lee one. Oh,
I didn't really.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
Like that one.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
I didn't hate it, but I didn't hate it. Don't
I don't need Old Boy remade, and I certainly don't
need a sequel to it, so I or a prequel,
whatever funk it is. I'm not looking forward to this. Man.
This is American made right, This is going to be
an American film.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
So okay, So here's what this is what's coming out now.
This is from movie Web, which by my Old Boy
has a ninety four percent audience score. It's pretty fucking precedented.
I actually thought it might be higher. Okay. A new report,
a true landmark movie is set to completely unnecessary follow

(22:16):
up twenty years after the original delivered a brutal action
thriller that was not According to the report, a sequel
to Park Chen Wu two thousand and three Revenge Saga
Old Boy is in early development, and apparently what most
people are saying is how poorly the response has been
on social media to the announcement. I mean, for those

(22:42):
of you that have never seen a shot without giving
the plot away, why are you like I can tell
you by my reason, but why are you disappointed that
there is going to be another one? Regardless of prequel
or post prequel or whatever.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah, certain movies, man, you can never recapture that feeling,
that or everything about that film. It's it's very original,
like that fighting sequence. I mean, how many films has
that influence? TV show recreate that movies like The Clockwork, Orange,
The Shining, those movies. There's certain ones you just can't
recreate that shit, Dude Apocalypse. Now, there's many, many other

(23:17):
films Godfather. I've never seen it, but according to everybody else,
good Fellows. You know, there's certain films, man, you just
can't remake. I feel like this is one of those.
You know, it doesn't get it doesn't get mentioned in
the same tears is a Good Fellows, but it's definitely
an influential fucking piece of art. Yeah, that shouldn't be touched.
So I don't know, man, I'll give it a shot,
but don't I'm not.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I don't have my high I hope so yeah, and
also shot. I think one of the things that really
makes that movie, which also doesn't really get discussed, is
the star of the movie really puts himself through a lot. Uh,
the actor who has transitioned into mainstream American films. He
was in that movie about the train that we had

(23:57):
talked about by John will Bach whatever that guy like
like you're not gonna get like you'd have to get
like a performance like that again from somebody, and who's
gonna give that kind of a performance? You know?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Like like I just hope to do about the octopus scene,
you know, I don't I don't need to rewatch anything
like that again. And I know it's all over YouTube
shit like that. Man, there's any tons of those muck
bang videos. Yeah, but yeah that that that portion definitely
disturbed the hell out of me. And yeah, I don't,
I don't know it's those movies.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
I haven't seen it in a long time, and I
don't know if yeah, like because I really liked it,
but I don't know how much replay value it has
for me.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Well, I feel that way about Martyrs. You know, somebody
brought up Martyrs recently as like a like a perfect
horror movie. And I'm not saying it's a perfect horror movie,
but about how Martyrs is so disturbing and so good
that it's one of these movies that you don't want
to watch again because that you're never gonna feel that
way about like like and you probably have said this
about Hereditary and I felt this way about Hereditary too.

(25:03):
There's certain movies that you feel so strongly about when
you see it that first time, and I'll even say
Long Legs maybe like but then you see it again
and you enjoy it, but it's not but not like
there's like two or three times an old boy shot
where you're just like, get the fuck out of here,
like and now you know when it's coming, you know,
the tongue scene, the octopus, the fight scene, the plot

(25:26):
reveal at the end, I mean, which is like, get
the fuck out of here. Like, do you think when
you when a movie like Hereditary, which delivers like that, Martyrs,
which kind of delivers like that, do you think when
you see that you think that's almost too much sometimes
that the replay value is hurt by it?

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Absolutely? Man, Absolutely, There's there's so many of those movies
that I own that are in my mind like masterpieces, right,
But it's a one and done viewing because it's rough
to keep watching, you can. Holocaust is another one. I
think it's a fucking phenomenal film.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
But it is a great movie.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
It's not something I keep going back to watch because
it fucked me up, Like I don't need to see
it again. Hereditary for me, obviously, it's not like disturbing.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
I not disturbing, but like the revealed the ending, like
the way you felt the last four minutes of that movie, right,
come on, Like you should have seen me in the
move there. I was literally like this like this, I like,
you just don't.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Say with me, man, I mean, dude, I stopped watching
horror movies until I watch Hereditary. Like that's no joke.
I didn't watch a single new horror movie probably for
like a decade because I was like, Oh, we're just
gonna get like shit like Mirrors and you know, like
I'm not really Oculus, and I was like, yeah, this
is this Shit's dead. Like, I'll just stick to the classics.
I'll just keep watching Reanimator and whatever. But and then

(26:52):
for some reason, man, I just heard about A twenty
four and I gave it a shot and I watched Hereditary,
and my jaw fucking drop. I was just like, what
the have been?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
It's a big movie. Yeah, it's a big like get
the fuck out of here movie.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
But I'll tell you what, if you haven't seen Old Boy,
Treat Yourself, I will say this, it is not for everybody. Shah.
I would say that's on a high list of movies
that I feel weird recommending to a pedestrian.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Mainly because of the reveal. Yeah, it's it's definitely uncomfortable.
It's not something that everybody can sis. It's like dog Tooth,
you know what I mean? Like, can you recommend dog Tooth?

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Everyone? No? I can't recommend almost any but he's one
Your ghost is so mainstream now he's kinda scary, but
now he is.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
But he those weird, like almost incest themes are all
in his fucking films. Yeah, I mean even you haven't
watched The Poor Things yet, Like I feel Poor Things
was borderline uncomfortable because the girls seemed very youngish.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Yeah, my kids wanted to see that, and you told me,
I think you're the reason why I didn't watch it
with them, because you were like, dude, you can't watch
that with your fucking daughters. What you're ready in mind?

Speaker 2 (27:54):
And I was like, I don't think there was anything
inappropriate necessarily, but just the subject matter, Like I think
it was just like because you were due this crazy
nudity in that movie, Like it's just constant, like you
can't avoid it.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Was it I don't even remember, Oh, apparently she's nude
like nine thousand times in that movie.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Yeah, but I just thought there was like creepy undertones
to it. There wasn't necessarily anything that I found like inappropriate.
It was just it just seemed kind of almost like
when we were talking about anime all the week, right,
like when they have those like you know, borderline PDF.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Yeah, but I feel like that's really why people watch
it though.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
I mean yeah, yeah, like if that's in your face,
that's totally like illegal or inappropriate. But no thes have
that uncomfortable, you know, undertones to it where you're just like, oh,
what is he really trying to?

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Yeah, like yeah, because well it's one of those things
like if you're a creepy person, you'll probably like it.
But it doesn't mean that everybody who likes it is creepy.
I think that's just you know what I'm saying. It's
kind of like, look, I'm sure there's a lot of
people that like violent horror movies because they're into violence,
But that doesn't mean that everybody who likes horror movies
is okay with real life violence, like you know, in
that regard as far as that goes. So there was

(29:01):
a distinction. We did want to get to this for
twenty eight years later at the box office. Oh, audition,
Chris Matthews. See that always comes up with people too shot,
Like I know, the first forty five minutes of audition
is very pedestrian, but you know that whiz we take
that turn, you know, once the wire cut the wire cutter,
things come out. It's that other world twenty eight years later,

(29:24):
passed one hundred million at the box office. Uh, this
is kind of a big deal for a horror movie.
I want to say, Shot, it only costs about sixty million.
Need to sell your car cashpcars dot com is the fastest, busiest,
and most secure way to sell your car online and
with guaranteed pricing. What you said, sorry about that? Yeah,

(29:46):
if you could, Yeah, you could dispute that. It's actually
kind of a big deal. You know. Did another nine
million last weekend. Uh so now it's one hundred and
three million globally. It's the third horror movie of the
year shot to do one hundred million. The other two
of those movies No Surprise, Final Destination, Blood Lines two

(30:06):
hundred and eighty one million, Holy fucking shit, and Sinners.
Are you ready for this? Three sixty four?

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Three sixty four, dude, right, Final Destination almost did three
hundred mili. Yes, Sha, I had no idea it was.
I knew it surpassed one hundred. Yeah, we had talked
about it hit three hundred that's fucking insane.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Yeah, yeah, I mean this is a big but dude,
I mean, first of all, Sinners three sixty four, holy
fucking shit. But Blood Final Destination. You had said it
was gonna do well. Where are you now in the
world there?

Speaker 2 (30:47):
When I said it was going to do well, I
thought it was going to do numbers like a Bombhouse film,
right like seventy sixty.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
No.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I thought it was going to definite hit one hundred million.
But I thought that's kind of where would cap Hall for,
like maybe one fifty almost three hundred. I wasn't expecting that.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Yeah, yeah, I think you're gonna really enjoy it, Sinners.
I think you need to see I think you really
because I think cinematically you're gonna vibe with that movie
big time from how it was shot and the cinematography
is fucking so good. That goddamn movie. I think you're
gonna be a little annoyed with the with the pacing
and the plot. But you know, I mean, this is tremendous.
We're at the halfway point now of the year, and

(31:25):
I don't know if we're gonna see numbers like this again.
I know we got some pretty big movies coming out,
you know, as far as that goes, But uh, those
three movies in particular, we're talking about three, we're talking
about almost seven hundred million dollars in horror box office.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
What do you think is gonna be next up? Is
there anything else that's big?

Speaker 1 (31:47):
I think I know what you did last summer is
gonna do well. I don't think it's gonna do. I
think maybe it'll do one hundred. I really do it
will it'll do It'll do very well, I think. And
I think that five Nights at Freddy's too, he's gonna
do well. That's gonna do well. And don't forget the
final conjuring in his commune. Like we have these place setters, right,
but then we also have weapons. We also have that

(32:10):
together movie. They might not do crazy ass box office,
but they're gonna do well, you know, and it's crazy.
Don Stony points out there is no main The only
mainstream actor in Bloodlines is the candy man dude who
passed away, who's passed, who died. He's the only recognizable
name in that movie. You know. Sinners is made by

(32:32):
Ryan Cooler. Ryan Cooler has got big box office movies
like Black Panther and Creed.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
You know.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
And then of course we have Danny Boyle. You know
who is a fucking big time Academy Award winning dude.
Alex Garland's a big time writer. So impressive to say
the least, don't you think. I mean, even though you
haven't seen any of these movies yet, this is impressive
box office Between three films, we're talking about like seven
hundred million dollars. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
I think the one that really surprised me is is
probably twenty eight years later. Because I knew Sinners was
going to be a blockbuster. I knew that was gonna
be a blockbuster final destination. I definitely thought it was
gonna surpass one hundred million. However, I was not expecting three.
But you're right, though, I think. You know what, though,
I think five nights at Freddy's that's probably gonna be
half a billion.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
I really think that's you think?

Speaker 1 (33:18):
So yeah, I'd say, maybe let's look up what the
last one doing. Well. Keep in mind, okay, but keep
in mind if you had Peacock, it came out the
same weekend. That's the box office because they had a
COVID will hangover. There was a COVID holdover. They released
it around Halloween, so they gave up a lot of
box office, but it did quite well.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
It did almost three hundred ninety.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Holy shit, and that's with Peacocke. Dude, you might be
you think that might do fucking three.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
You might hit four hundred at least. I think, holy shit,
I think that might be the biggest horror movie.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Of the year.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Five Nights of Freddy's Wow, I think so wow.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
All right, well, I also think Cinner, just because this
is where we live now in terms of like recognition,
I think Centners is going to get the nod for
some mainstream Hollywood awards. You know. I think it was
maybe a sixty million dollar, fifty million dollar movie and
it made fucking you know, you know, three hundred plus.

(34:20):
You know, I think it's gonna get you know, I
could see it getting some nominations, definitely for the cinematography,
possibly for the music, possibly for the costumes and stuff
like that, like in the art direction. But we will
see people now, shah. Before we proceed to trailers, I
have to bring this up. The first teaser trailer for

(34:45):
the Odyssey leaked today. It's only a minute. Do we
want to touch this because this this is the Odyssey,
Christopher Nolan. It is available. It's only sixty seconds, but
apparently if you go and see some particular movies this weekend,
this is playing throughout so a lot of people bootlegged it.

(35:08):
I don't even know if it was formally available, but
the first minute to the Epic Odyssey by Christopher Nolan,
which has possibly the greatest cast of the twenty first century,
we would be here all day. It is a who's
who of Hollywood young and old in this movie. So
if we're able, I think it would be fun to

(35:29):
pull that up because this is the first look anybody
is seeing regarding The Odyssey. I don't think believe it
comes out to the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
It's not on YouTube. It's definitely not on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Give me one second. I might be able to send
it to you. I don't know if anybody has seen it,
but it was all over Twitter this morning. I think
it's bootleg only. Let me see if I can get
this to you. Hold on, Yeah, on Twitter too, Yeah.
I think they tried to Oh it's oh Coach of
Jurassic Park. Okay, it may have been pulled. Let's see, yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Because those ones, even if it's on Twitter, man, the
company is gonna pull that off launch.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Yeah, I think it got pulled. Okay, so if you
go see might have it. If you go see Jurassic World,
you will see the one minute teaser trailer. Uh. And
by the way, it's shot entirely.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Smash tip pieces.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Yes, this is actually legit. Let's go backwards before since
my mastered. All right, let's see if you can blow
Can we blow that up a little bit and make
that a little bigger? M No, oh no, ship, you
can't make that bigger on the screen.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
I might be able to zoom in on it.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Ah, it sucks.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
Zeus is lost smashed to pieces if you can without
a case, since my master had died, Hangingland wasn't.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
On the winnable war.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
And then somehow, somehow I wanted.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
This whole movie shot on Imax cameras.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
I know nothing of Odysseus, not since Troy.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
I'd have to find out what happened to my father.
When did you let to see him? Tom Holland John
Bernthal gossip?

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Who has a story about Odysseus?

Speaker 1 (37:19):
You you you have a story. Some say he's rich
and some say he's poor, some say he perished.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
What say you in prison? Got it? Prison? Get old
a man like that.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
That's fucking terrifying.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Oh my god, damn Matt David. So it comes out. Uh,
could we pull up the information on that movie. I'm
excited for this, dude, because the cast is ridiculous. You know,
everyone is going to be given all their ship. By
the way people are bringing up shot that Spider Man

(38:02):
and the Punisher. That's pretty fucking wild that that's Spider
Man who the Punisher is going to be in the
next Spider Man movie. So that's you got you got them.
I mean, let's go through this cast, dude, what do
we got.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
I want to go through this because my weed man
just stop by my.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
House blow it up a little bit for me.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Yeah, I gotcha, all right, So this is you know,
I'm gonna grab my weed man.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Yeah. Yeah, you put get your weed, put your weed
in it outside my house the whole time. So this
does not come out for a fucking year. And they
already leaked a minute of it. I mean, Jesus fucking Christ.
So they're shooting this goddamn thing now. Uh. But the
opening the only thing we've seen there now they're talking
about Odysseus. For those of you who have never read

(38:45):
the Odyssey. Uh, it's Odysseus's story, and the that is
Odsseus I believe is played by Matt Damon. Okay, I'm
gonna run through this cast people. Ready. You got John Burnhal,
Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendet, Robert Mattinson, which means Batman,
The Punisher and Spider Man are in the movie. Anne Hathaway,
Elliott Page, Charlie Stone, Mi a Goth, Benny saf D,

(39:10):
John Leguizamo, uh Shiloh Fernandez, Lupita Nawongo, Ryan Hurst, who
is Opie from Sons of Anarchy, Samantha Morton. My god,
this is such an impressive cast. Who's the Zendaia play?
She plays Athena? Goddamn. So we're gonna have a movie
where we got uh, Matt Demon uh, spider Man, the

(39:35):
Punisher and then Batman in it. That's pretty fucking wild.
And you got Mi a Goth in there. Goddamn, this
is an impressive cast. Corey Hawkins, I'm trying to think
some of these other actors I've never heard of.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
You know this movie's gonna end up being like four
hours long?

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Yes, the yeah, oh yeah, it's it's gonna be ridiculous. Uh,
but shoah, very interesting. Batman, The Punisher, and Spider Man
all in the same movie.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
That is kind of crazy. Man, like you never see this. Yeah,
that's a good that's like a it's a fantasy book
and a fucking fantasy fucking pretty much.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
Is yeah, slip, she's I don't know if there was
an Odyssey TV movie. I remember having to read it
in high school. But uh, it's uh, it's it's it's
the story of Odysseus in Greek mythology told like you
know that his journey. Uh, it's and John like Gizamo's voice.
That's John like Gamo sean the trailer before we see

(40:31):
the actors. I'm excited for this, dude. I am excited.
Me a goth This is a huge rub for me,
a goth Man, huge rub.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
I hope she stays weird man. I want her to
stay in the heart art house film world, so you know,
I want her to make her money. But I hope
she returns back to our roots one day and still
does weird four movies.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Yeah. Yeah, she likes to write and produce, like she's
kind of getting behind the camera there. Uh, but I'm
excited for this movie. We'll probably get a lot of
leaked stuff in the next year. But boy, you know, shah,
you know, a movie is a big deal. Where they
give you an hour, where they give you like a minute,
a year in advance.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
Literally a year advanced, actually more than a year.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
It's yeah. We got some legit trailers though. One of
them is is a Ryan Gosling movie that got a
lot of hype this week because of the cinematography. Apparently
this is a high falutin cinematographer who's done some other work.
Uh so, a lot of people were touting this trailer.
This is called Project Hail Mary. It's a science fiction

(41:36):
excuse me, a science fiction film with Ryan Gosling. I
know very little about this, but we're gonna check out
the trailer raw now and then I might want to
look up that cinematographer because apparently he's connected to some
big stuff. Unless somebody checks me here in the chat,

(42:00):
please state to your name, Roman Grace, please spoke up
from a coma. There's several light years from my apartment.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
And I'm not an astronaut.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
I'm not an astronaut. I'm not an astronaut. If you
don't go, you die with the rest of us.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
The Sun is dying.

Speaker 6 (42:27):
You're the only scientists too might know what this is.

Speaker 7 (42:30):
I'm just a teacher at Gover Cleveland Middle You have
a doctorate in molecular biology.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
I need you to come with us. This is project
hell Mary. The Sun is not the only star dying.

Speaker 6 (42:42):
Every star was infected by its neighbor except one. Why,
which is why we build a ship to go there
and find out it's eleven point nine light years away.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
The astronauts dye in space. That's what you Americans will
call a long shot, hell Mary, I.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Get it shot. I want to point out I really
like the color in this. I don't know how this
was shot, but do you recognize how these how bright
these fucking colors are.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Yeah, they're definitely using a warm color palete dude, I'm
I'm super into this already.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
It's just got huge, huge response on the internet.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
Man, judging from them, is this a horror movie from
this science.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Fiction science fiction movie? They call it a science fiction
movie with you know, Ryan Goslin's a big fucking A
list star, but somebody people were jerking off about the cinematography.
Immediately it looks.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Really engaging.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
Oh yeah, but the color like just look behind her,
I mean, look at her and then look at the
color like the orange and the blue. Like it just
fucking pops off the fucking screen, doesn't it. Oh yeah,
all right, let's continue this here.

Speaker 3 (43:47):
Earth just gonna sign up for this.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
If we do nothing everything on this planet booking stink.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
You'll find a solution.

Speaker 1 (43:59):
Who are my solution? I put the knot an astronaut.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
I've never done anything. I've never done a space I
can't even moon walk. We can.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
The other person on Mars.

Speaker 3 (44:28):
I understand mistakes.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
I do. My place is in the classroom.

Speaker 6 (44:35):
The well is counting on you.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
This might be very hard for you to understand, but
some people are not good at things. You know who
you are.

Speaker 3 (44:48):
You're gonna do great.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
I can't go zerote at five hours. Yes object, i'mpproaching.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
Oh my god, please, it's about to get weird.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
I met an alien.

Speaker 2 (45:13):
He's kind of growing on me, at least not grown
in me, you know, which was a concern for a
little while.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Jesus, this looks good.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Holy ship, dude, I'm a little confused.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
I was.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
I wasn't sure. I thought it was leaning towards like
an alien movie, like a horror alien movie, and then
it becod of became a comedy.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
I don't think it's a comedy. I think it's well,
it's it's based on I guess the book of Saint
Petro wrote The Martian.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
There have you seen the Martian?

Speaker 1 (45:51):
I just heard of it, so I couldn't get into it.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Yeah, that's the one with a man Damon.

Speaker 1 (45:55):
Right, Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
This looks nice though, I mean, this is something I
think would probably be best at an Imax. I'm sure
this is an Imax fucking film, so this is something
I would probably go to see it at the Imax.

Speaker 1 (46:08):
Many this looks like it was meant to be an Imax.
People really were excited about this, So Juiari's point, what's up? True?

Speaker 5 (46:16):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (46:16):
This is the directors of the Spider Verse movies that
were very, very big.

Speaker 8 (46:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
And of course it's based on the book by the Marshan.
I like Gostling. I feel like Gosling always does a
good job. He makes a lot of shitty movies. But
that dude made some mad, you know, that dude early
on made some some ill art house movies, bro like
ill are like fucked up movies. Yeah, we have a Drive, Yeah, Drive,
and then that movie only.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
God, only God can forgive, only God.

Speaker 1 (46:43):
Yeah, yeah, only Got where he's like in Thailand and
his brother's like a pedophile and that movie's bananas. And
don't forget that what he plays the Jewish skinhead in
The Believer.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
That you ever see that movie, dude.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
He plays a Jewish wipeout the Believer. He plays a
Jewish white power skinhead. I see that fucking bananas the
place behind the pines. They shot that up here near me,
went town over and he's all like he plays like
a whiskey tango dude who knocks up abroad. That's how
he met Ava Mendez. Actually he's been with her like
ever since. I mean Drive is like his seminal work.

(47:20):
But this dude is an a lister. I'm excited for this.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
I definitely see why everybody was looking forward to this.
We have another trailer for as.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
A question, were you expecting the alien or because I
was not?

Speaker 1 (47:33):
A well, that has to be a reason why all
these stars are dying, and maybe like it has something
to do with aliens.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
But he was almost befriends the alien, like they build
a relationship.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
So they said, only one star is not dying, and
maybe it's the star with the aliens and everything else
is dying. That it might have something to do with it.
We just don't know. So there's a movie called Monster Island.
Anything with monsters. I'm just such a fucking sucker for monsters,
like I love monster movies. You know, I'm an apologist
for monsters. This is a little bit more of a

(48:03):
smaller version. This is a little bit more indie. I
believe it's coming to shutter. Shutter has been putting out
some bangers lately. Uh, this is brand new trailer. We're
gonna check it out now.

Speaker 3 (48:15):
M h.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Shut us killing it man?

Speaker 5 (48:21):
Oh yeah, O god, good god.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
I hope ask.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Him how he got himself in the brick? Could killing
he's commanding officer. This thing comes back. We need to

(49:03):
be ready for it. You understand what, you dude. I'm
branded correct on an island where there's an actual fucking monster. Bro.
I love it.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
You see it, you see them? Yeah, the monster itself
kind of looks.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Like Yeah, I was afraid. I was I was afraid
the monster wouldn't be a good payoff, but I love
the promise.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
Yeah, I want to see if I can catch it.
You understand, win might catch it.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Could we see that's not gonna give us. They're not
going to give us any monster. I don't think. Well,
let's see.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
I mean you could see it right there.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Yeah, I can't really, but it's so dark, Like, you know,
here we go, what you.

Speaker 9 (49:59):
Can his creature lived, it's either all them.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
Yeah. I couldn't get a good look at the month.
So is this coming directly to shutter at the end
of the month, because I'm I'm definitely gonna.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
Watch this, Yeah, July twenty fifth.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
Yeah, I can't really go off of what I'm seeing
because it's so dark.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Yeah, there's I mean this shot of the monster. This
is a dead one.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
That's a dead one. Yeah. It looks like a sleeve
stack dude from fucking Land to the Lost.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
Well, it looks just like the creature from the Black Lagoon.
Like it's clearly inspired by that obvious.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Well that's what they said. This is literally like roughly
inspired by that. And you know, I'm a big fan
of that creature, but I think that one looks better
than this one. I like this though.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
This is kind of growing on me. Like the first
shot that I saw from the Monster, I thought it
was gonna be trash, but yeah, I don't know. It
looks like there's some effort in this, you know, some passion.

Speaker 1 (51:03):
Yeah, I think some passion behind it. You know this
next trailer, I thought of you immediately when I saw
it because it has a cult sort of overtone. It's
not the premise of it, but it has a cult overtone,
and I was very curious about how this movie goes.
This is a movie about some people who try to

(51:24):
convert some other people to Christianity and something goes bad.
This movie is called Shaman. It looks fucking so good.
I was so excited to watch this trailer with you
because it has a lot of elements that I think
you like it in movies, one of them being cults
and also creepy religious overtones, which is mostly cults. Right,

(51:47):
So we're gonna check out this Shaman movie right now.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this family, for the
good work that you let us do.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
Yes save I know we're a long way from home,
but this is where got lots of us Christian missionary shot.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
Watch where's Elliot father? All least seems different.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
He's not himself.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
Oh m hmm. I think they did something to him.

Speaker 3 (52:31):
Okay, are you father?

Speaker 1 (52:37):
Ah, talk to the water.

Speaker 3 (52:42):
All of it is thanks to you.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Let's pause it before we get striice. Immediately, I'm getting
kind of like midsmar vibes from the music. The music
is identical to mids. Someone that that string that's idea.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
Yeah, that's that's used a lot these shot That's a lot,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
I I associate immediately with Midsommer overall, though there's even
you could tell, man, there was that one scene from
Midsommer obviously with the guy jumping off there is a
portion in here with somebody that looks like they might
be jumping off a cliff.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
It does have it. Well, it's gonna get a little
more Midsommer, so uh yeah, so just uh yeah, it
builds from here. Whatever's going on is Michael.

Speaker 6 (53:29):
K s est. This is not them.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
They didn't have that power.

Speaker 5 (53:40):
Boy is sick.

Speaker 3 (53:41):
That is all.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
Professional.

Speaker 3 (53:54):
Who are you?

Speaker 6 (53:56):
I'm just a boy.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
We're lewising.

Speaker 2 (54:05):
They're in this well and dude, what the hell was
that ship?

Speaker 1 (54:10):
It looked like a giant spider or something. Right, Yeah,
I don't look at that background see that, Right, dude,
you're gonna like this trail event. It's got like four
different guys of art.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Whoa man, I was not ready for that.

Speaker 3 (54:26):
This well.

Speaker 6 (54:29):
And the next take off your mask father.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
Oh yeah, I am super into this dude.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
Right.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Yeah, there was the one scene to where he shattered
the mirror. I think me to cross it looked like
oh maybe, Yeah, this reminds me of like a crawl
stream between like like midsummer and almost like when evil lurks,
you know, a.

Speaker 1 (55:11):
Little bit, yeah, a little bit like like and I'm
sure there's more too, like like like maybe like they
think the shaman possessed the dude, but he's probably actually
helping the kid or like, you know, it's probably one
of those deals, you know what I mean. Dude, This
looks great, doesn't it. Yeah?

Speaker 2 (55:26):
I love the scorpion too. I don't know if you
called it. There's another scene with like a gigantic scorpion.
Yeah there was another scene.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Yeah, I'm just looking up the movie like when it's
coming out. So let's see here shaman.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Oh yeah, there you go. See that's that's the mirror
that I was talking about. You see that.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
It comes out in November, and uh, yes, So it's
supposed to be remote. It's a missionary family in an
indigenous community in a remote Ecuadorian a nearer remote Ecuadorian volcano.
Oh my god, that's a crowd. That's great.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
You see that cross.

Speaker 1 (56:02):
Yeah, I'm looking at it now. Holy shit, dude, Damn bro,
this movie looks great. Yeah. I'm excited for I love
that your God has no power here. They love Yes,
now I see it. It's kind of I see it there.
Oh some of there is there. Yeah. Yeah, and the

(56:23):
uh and the and the body and the water. I'm
excited for this, dude.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
There's a lot going on in this movie. Man, I
don't know. It's a mix of like five of my film.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
Ryan Keith is saying that looks like the priest did something.
See I think Ryan, that's a red herring. And I
think they want us to think the priest did something,
but the thing's probably already been there, you know what
I mean. Rams Spain is saying village cult vibes. Mick
fth Possession Dirk is calling it like the Exorcist, Chris
Matthew says, this looks good. Yeah, I'm definitely down uh
to see this one. It doesn't come out till November,

(56:53):
but I thought it was a very striking trailer. Uh,
we got a big one here, folks. This one is personal.
A bunch of years ago, Sean myself saw a movie,
uh that we couldn't believe it was so good that
kind of became a cult classic. Uh, we're talking about
a movie called troll Hunter, which now shot. For people
that are unfamiliar with troll Hunter, how would you describe

(57:15):
that movie?

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Well, correct me if i'm no, this is not the
same one you're thinking of, dude, this is troll too.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
This is the this is the sequel to troll Hunter.
It's called troll two.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
No, no, no, Netflix made another troll movie where it
was a gigantic troll you're thinking of troll Hunter. The
one that we like is completely different than the Oh,
this is the sequel to troll the Netflix one. Yeah,
you original.

Speaker 1 (57:41):
Troll because this is the sequel to the Netflix one.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
So this is I'll show it to you.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
Yeah, I'm sorry. It's very confusing because they're both.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
Because this is definitely not the movie you're thinking of, No,
it's not okay, that makes Senflix. Yeah, this is a Netflix.

Speaker 1 (57:55):
Netflix made a movie called troll Troll.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
Yeah that was That was the one with the gigant
anti troll. It's like the size of a mountain.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
We watched this, Yes, we covered this. Yeah didn't we
cover this?

Speaker 2 (58:05):
Well, we didn't watch it, but we covered the trailer.

Speaker 1 (58:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Yeah, this is a squel to this movie. Yeah, I
wish it was a sequel to the one that I.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
Know, troll Hunter. That dude's moved on this. Why if
we ever watched this? This looks awesome. Yeah, oh my god,
this looks so good. Why the fuck did we never
see this? Why did this come twenty twenty two?

Speaker 2 (58:26):
Yeah, but it ain't got shit on what we're talking about.
The troll Hunter.

Speaker 1 (58:28):
Yeah, trol Hunter. It's like a classic. Well Netflix, this
movie did so well. At one point it was the
biggest movie on Netflix. Troll which, by the way, I
have to watch this now because I this was on
my radar. I remember us talking about it. But you've
never seen it, right, and I've never seen.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
I've never seen it. I should check it out though,
because I was one of the Netflix movies that I
actually did want to see.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
Yeah, well it's still It's still on Netflix anyway. This
is the sequel Troll too. This is a teaser trailer.
What I like about these movies is they look like
they cost a lot of money, don't they.

Speaker 2 (59:08):
Yeah, I mean this is a Netflix.

Speaker 1 (59:09):
Is not a low budget This is not a low
budget movie.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
No, but I'm I already love this shot, like this
historic under.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Yeah, they're going back to the origin like of how
the Troll, like how the Troll came to be. I'm
so excited. I gotta watch the real one this weekend.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (59:33):
Mm hmm, man, look.

Speaker 1 (59:40):
That looks good, dud. Dude, watch no, wait, watch watch
you wait, watch this. Watch he's not looking at her, dude.

Speaker 4 (59:55):
Oh ship, whoa.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Dude. I have to watch this, this original one, now
set up this other one. Does that look fucking great?

Speaker 8 (01:00:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Hell yeah, man, that looks good, dude, I know right,
it looks so fun.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Can you pull up the original Troll? I just want
to see, like what the reviews were on it, because
people were talking about this like as such a highly
anticipated trailer, and I'm like, well, fuck, the original one
looks really good. I have to watch it. You know.

Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Yeah, so the original came out in twenty twenty two.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Here, yeah, yeah, twenty twenty two.

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
I know we've talked, definitely covered this, we definitely colored it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
I just wow, wow twenty yeah, but ninety percent critics. Yeah, dude,
I think the goals look great. If anyone in the chat,
has anybody seen this movie?

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
Yeah, I'm curious.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Chris Matthews says it's good. Yeah. He immediately was like,
dunstoney goes, they're trolling you, dude. The trolls look good though.
They look as good as they do in troll Hunter.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
Correctly this movie, roar you thog? The hell is that?

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Well? He did troll Hunter? No, no role.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Hunter is the guy that did the Vampire game. Yeah, yeah,
which the.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Last the boys did the Demeter. That's a good movie.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Yeah, that's the same guy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
I don't want to see if he's done anything else.

Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Maybe he did the original, like the original and the sequel.
The trolls look great.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Dude, let's see does a show the director on here?

Speaker 6 (01:01:52):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
He sounds like he's like Yugoslavian or something.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Well, trolls or what it's Norwegian.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
Or yeah, so he hasn't really done anything though.

Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
We probably I'm going to try to watch the real
Troll over the weekend. I have to watch Troll and
Megan is Missing. Because Megan is missing the hit two
B and my brother Michael's you need to see that movie.
Have you ever seen Megan is Missing?

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Yeah? I wasn't really into it. It's it's definitely disturbing,
but it's I feel like it's a it goes for
the cheap scares where it's like it's a found footage
film about a girl getting abductive. Actually it's very generic,
but I can see why it creepy well shot.

Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
Speaking of found footage, we got We're gonna do two
more trailers, and one of them is the Hell House
Lineage movies. This is the only one that is not
found footage. This is the first time in the history
of the films that they are deviating from found footage. Uh.
And it's actually called Hellhouse LLC lineage. I didn't know
it was called lineage. I was just using that as
the word.

Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
Literally.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
And then we got a banger for the finale here, uh,
Sean I We've talked about Halliso B show. We enjoy
the series. I I I find that it's probably one
of the better modern anthology type series. Some of them
been good shots, some of them have not been that good,
right is that fair to say? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
I really like the first two. I haven't like the watch.
I haven't seen the third one or I believe I.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Think it's terrible, but most recent one.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Wait, is this the fourth one? Or is this the
fifth one?

Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
I think this is the fifth I could be wrong.
There's a bunch of them because they don't go like one, two, three, four, five. Yeah,
don sotny. I've heard of the house is October Belt.
I've heard my brother Mike likes that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
I think, Yeah, that one's kind of similar to this.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
So there was the one. I guess I was at
last Halloween where.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
It was nothing. That was the third one. Dude, I
think this is the fourth one.

Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
Okay, so this is the only one I believe that
is not found footage. This is called lineage and the
trailer just came out this week. Yeah, tell in the
Lonely House, I know. Oh that's frost. That's great, Jesus Christ.

(01:04:02):
That's very different for a hellouse. Okay, maybe the trolls
are tied to the hell out cheese.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
You're teaser.

Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
So that's the house and the family, the established, the
last one very different five the other movie is all
found fur so this is a teaser. Yeah, maybe we'll
play another one there. Whoa, I dropped the clown in

(01:04:51):
the cornfield? Interesting? When does that come out? Sean just
as twenty twenty five? Well, we got six months. I
hope it's better than our last one acting wise, but
they said this one is not found footage.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Yeah, I'm assuming this is probably gonna be a Halloween movie.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
You know, it would make sense for sure a lot
of these teasers. Since that was just a little teaser,
we can probably do She Rides because I want to
save the running Man for the grand finale. I want
to get people's opinion on that. We're going to go
a little longer here for the show since we're dropping
a special Patreon that we mentioned earlier. But She Rides
as another new trailer that came. First of all, that's

(01:05:32):
a dancing song that if you've ever been a strip
club in the last twenty five years, you've probably heard
that song, especially in the Northeast. But the less said
about this, the better I did see this trailer. It's
called she rides shotgun, but I just like calling it
she rides.

Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
Have you done this before?

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Yeah, thousands of time.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
This is a creepy trailer, dude, Polly. From now on,
we're on our own dangerous shot.

Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Yeah, you're gonna have to do as I say.

Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
They're stitching his kid at all, hit people with bats.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
He kind of looks like a cross between the guy
from Lincoln Park that passed away.

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
Yes, Chester Bennington, Yeah, looks Taren something Terran. He's Tarryn Edgington.
He's been in a lot of ship.

Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
Yeah. He looks like a mix between Chester and Ricky
Shane Page.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Ricky Rick sh Pages. Yeah, the wrestler for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
Yeah, can that activity?

Speaker 1 (01:06:50):
What else is? He now got parent.

Speaker 7 (01:06:54):
Steel's gang, put a green light on YouTube, He's got
on his payroll term it all.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Hunted down, crooked cops shot everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
So it's uh, kind of reminds me of you remember
natural Born Killers. Kind of reminds me of like Dad
mixed with like a Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
He's from the Kingsman series. I like those movies. I
remember the comic book was called I Think You're Her
Majesty's Secret Service or some ship. They changed it for
the for the movies. Uh, he's he's in good shape, dude.
Look it looks like he looks like he's a wrestler.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Oh, he's an legend. Tom Hardy.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Okay, what did you do?

Speaker 6 (01:07:52):
But I gotta tell you, well, I never want to
see you pull the trigger again.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
That's what I do. That's what I'm for.

Speaker 8 (01:08:05):
You.

Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Let me do that if it comes to it.

Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
Okay, I.

Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
Don't like seeing good things.

Speaker 6 (01:08:14):
Get room.

Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
I don't keep you safe.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Coms proms.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
It looks like a gritty ass movie.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Bro, Yeah, it reminds me of I don't know, man,
not like a not like a Tarantino movie, but like
it's trying to be grindhouse, but it's too much of
an action movie. Like it's it's a very well made movie.
You can tell us.

Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
Yeah, yeah, I bet it's got some good violence in
that movie. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
Well, folks, this is it. We've heard about this for
a while. I purposely did not watch the trailer because
I wanted to watch it for the show. We knew
there was a remake of The Running Man coming out.
Many people for the aren't familiar The Running Man was
actually a novel that was made into a movie, and
the movie version is quite different from the novel. A

(01:09:17):
lot of people Stephen a short story rather than a novel.
A lot of people are speculating that this is taken
more from the novel and not from the Schwarzenegger movie,
so they so people seem to be a little confused
by the source material. But this is actor Glenn Palell,
who's hot shit right now, he's the lead, and we
here it is. This is Edgar Wright shot. Edgar Wright

(01:09:40):
made a lot of great movies. Most recently he made
that movie with What's her Face? Anna Taylor Joy that
bombed about the ghost and he made obviously showing to
the dead.

Speaker 9 (01:09:51):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
And then he also made the movie with Michael Sarah
based on the comic book that was a bomb, but
I liked it. I like it. Gart Rice a creepy,
weird dude. Anyway, he's his version of the Running Man.
And with Glen pal here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:10:06):
I'm filming me.

Speaker 8 (01:10:14):
Ben Richards thirty five, married one child, in medical crisis.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
We need money for a doctor. Now, Ben, let you up.

Speaker 8 (01:10:25):
Employment status blacklist, but there's still a way out for you.

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
Josh Brolin.

Speaker 8 (01:10:33):
It's the biggest show in the country.

Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
Let's call me Domingo and yeah it's our birthright.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
Great, Welcome to the Running Man, dude. It's very similar
to the original as far as the set. I'm already
fucking into it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
Man, I like, I hope it's all rated. That's all
I'm saying, saying this cannot be better. Not We're going
to find out, but it looks good. People in these
games never come back.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
I'm not trying to get myself killed, so kiss my
ass twice.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Right.

Speaker 8 (01:11:10):
There is why you can win this game. Rules are simple,
survive thirty days, the entire.

Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Nation hunting down.

Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
Yeah, this is based on the side for good. I'm
going to come back here and burn this building down.

Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
I promise that's the spirit.

Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
This is America. God damn it. And we're all put up.

Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
We're no bulls.

Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
D yeah hunt hem oh, William Mason.

Speaker 7 (01:11:52):
Yeah, have you ever wondered at this game?

Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
Michael Sarah?

Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
I guess we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
Should I be moving up to bake? Hey, Bloddy, you're
all free v God? Yeah, you better run.

Speaker 7 (01:12:29):
Es.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
I got a good name.

Speaker 3 (01:12:34):
Back at you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
M hmm. I'm still here, just shiit.

Speaker 10 (01:12:47):
Eaters, big Boy, Are you crazy?

Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
Geez? Oh? Wowright wrote the screenplay too, dude, I'm into it.
You think it's R rated?

Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
I think so. I think so. I'm super into it.
My only man, my only complaint is I wanted the
villains to have similar type of like over the top
gimmicks like the original.

Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
I don't think that's from the book though as much.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
Yeah, I know, but that's what made the movie stand out.
You know, the hockey player, the one guy that looks
like he's fucking arrested. I just I like that gammick.

Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
I wish they would have used, you know, a little
bit of creativity when it comes to the villains. But yeah,
it's probably, you know, true to to the novels.

Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
Yeah, I think it's. The point was to make it
true to the novel as far as that goes. But
it looks a lot of fun. Edgar Wright, you know,
he you know, he's a particular guy, you know, Edgar.
You know he's done showing to the Dead, Hot Fuzz,
Scott Pilgrim, The Adventures of Tin Him, The World's End.

(01:14:01):
He did the first uh uh ant Man. He wrote it,
he didn't direct it. Baby Driver Last night in Soho
Sha and now they running Man. This is his first
movie in four years, So I'm excited for it, you know,
as far as that goes, I'm I'm excited for it.
I don't know how I feel about this Glenn Palell guy.
This he seems all right. He just doesn't seem like

(01:14:22):
a big star to me. He seems like a guy,
you know, you know, like, which I guess is his appeal.
But I like a lot of people in this movie,
and I do like it. Go write I like. I've
enjoyed quite a few of his movies. I like Scott Pilgrim.
I love Hot fuzz S Hot Fuzz.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
No, I actually hate his movies, to be honest with you.

Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
Really you like Last Night and Soho though.

Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
I did, but I hated he did like Sean of
the Dead and all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:14:47):
Right, Yeah, yeah, He's the World's end. That movie is great, dude.
It's fucking really fun.

Speaker 2 (01:14:52):
Is that the comedy movie?

Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
Yeah, it's where the guys at the bar, The middle
aged guys go to a bar and there's actually an
alien takeover and they're doing a pub crawl but they
don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
I'm thinking of the movie with like Ben Stiller and Ship.

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
No, he does mostly UK. He does UK movies, and
his Scott Pilgrim, which bombed, is amazing, Like now retroactively
people are watching that. Oh, it's a real classic. At
the cast.

Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
Do you think I would like it? I've never seen.

Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
Yes, because it's not. It's just very quick and it's
very colorful, and it's basically a live video game like this.
Coins it's like very it's I can't I'm under selling it.
But it's got a lot of like adult humor in
it and it's very like edgy. But people that were
counting on the comic people because it's a huge adult
comic book with a young like maybe a young team,

(01:15:38):
not young team, but maybe young adult combook, and that
audience didn't show up for it. So Michael Sarah is
great in it. There's Aubrey Plaza's in it, Kieran Culkin's
in it, The Captain America dudes in it, Brie Larson's
in it, dude. The cast. If you see the cast
on Scott Pilgrim and be like, how did this bomb?
It's like every young person is big in this movie.

Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Yeah, that's That's one of those movies that I've been
meaning to check out. I always, for some reason confused
it with kick Ass. I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
Because the sequels good too.

Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
People don't like the sequel.

Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
I like Jim Carrey is amazing in the sequel.

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
Sequels, Well, Jim carr is in the sequel.

Speaker 1 (01:16:21):
Amazing, amazing. Oh yeah, he plays like a punisher type character. Him.
He's the parent of hit Girl. Yeah, dude, look at
Jim Carrey. Well, just look at his face. Just do
Jim Carrey kick ass to. Just look at his face,
dudeat pull him up.

Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
I gotta I gotta see that, shi man, I gotta see.

Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
Dude, pull up, just pull up. Jim Carrey's kick ass too.
He's Hit Girl's father, the girl Hit Girl who becomes
the big character who should have had her own spin off. Uh,
he's her father. They're vigilantes. He he was an ex
cop who like trained his daughter to be a murder like.
Uh no, he's not Hit Girl's father. That's Nicholas Cage
in the first one. Dude, look at him, this is this.

Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
Is He looks cracked out for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
His face is all scarred up. Dude. Yeah, stars and stripes.
He's like an ex military guy. Who is like a
leader of a vigilante team who befriends kick Ass and
his face is all scarred up. He's like unrecognizable in
this dude.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Yeah, I got great carry. I can't tell little here here,
I can but here absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (01:17:29):
Yeah, and he has like a like a tough guy voice.
He's another guy in uh in the movie. That's another
character in kick Ass too.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Well, that's right there, dude.

Speaker 1 (01:17:39):
Yeah, that's see how he has the fake the fake
and the fake.

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
Prosthetics going on.

Speaker 1 (01:17:45):
Yeah, oh, I didn't know that he condemned the movie
