Speaker 1 (00:23):
Good inning, everybody. Welcome to the Wednesday night edition of
The Sports Exchange. My name is Scott Morgan, Rockmoor City,
mad Mouth. We have a loaded show tonight, even have
some comments from j. B. Ellis, who's not here with
us directly. He's on the road to New York City,
but we're gonna include his comments on key topics. That
that said, we're all over the map and we're gonna
talk about the Masters. He tried pistance the name, a

(00:44):
few other things we'll talk. Let's go ahead and mention
the crew and Ben Sports welcome back then, thanks for.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Having me, Thanks for having me. Scott has always loved
talking sports and.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Jay Christener mister pundon himself.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
All I can say, all I can say is this,
if you're gonna just copy JB, all you have to
do is say look and just pick anything in there.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Pretty much is There's no question that we definitely go
ahead and have his boy down.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
And George Ichorn, Hi there, I'm here at the Motor
City Command Center.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah. What the piano with their John d. Rockefeller piano, Yes, sir,
okay in the city's known for I can't wait to
see it in person. Then again, I don't think I
ever will, so I'm not holding my breath. The odds
of me seeing that piano would be like if we
were winning to Kentucky Derby. We know that will never happen.
So and last, but not leave, Brian Pennett, it's kind

(01:49):
of enough to join us tonight and evening.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Brian, thank you for letting me come in here. Scott,
You're welcome, appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah, this is a part from the country club that
you used to on Thursday night. But nevertheless it Candy
runs on Fire. Oh, she loves the name of that show.
Fire up. I meant twelve. That's something that she pattered
in her image. It's not a good job with it. Well,
without any further delay, we're going to talk about golf.
It doesn't get talked about a lot, but he certainly
deserves their respect. This week, Murray McElroy's seventeenth trips of

(02:18):
the Masters epitomizes. But Tom Will sort of once told
me because God delayed did not mean that God denies,
and so this making him the sick player in golf
history to complete the career Grand Slam. It was his
first Master's victory once again in seventeen tries. The Career

(02:38):
Grand Slam just consist of the Masters, PGA, the US
opened and the open Candy. First of all, won't you
go ahead and get the JV's comments and then we'll
beat it around.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Watch Rory when it was pretty amazing. It had all
the emotions. He had a three or four stroke lead
at one point, he choked under the pressure and then
held on to force the playoff what he needed to
and then have that perfect playoff hole on the first
hole of the playoff, and want to see his emotion

(03:12):
on how how excited he was and relieved that he
finally won the career Glant Grand Slam. It hit all
the drama that you'd want for a major supporting event.
Justin Rose had a heck of a comeback to get
into the playoff. It was just really enjoyable to watch
and not feel great for Rory coming back and winning

(03:34):
his first Masters after he said eleven tries for twelve tries,
but it was yeah, seventeen.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
All right, Katy well that said it was your take
on the Masters mine, Well, Hey, I like Joshu o
Door's comments. It's pretty cute. What's a Grand Slam? Isn't
that baseball. Guess what, Joshua, do you also happen to
have a career grand slammy cloud lad two man, I'm
glad you have to get a piece of golf for
a change. But this is because we're leading off butt

(04:05):
and that's why we titled it as so so, Joshua,
I know you're just tuning in, so we'll just go
to refresh it Master PGA US Open and the Open
is your frand slam in. Oh. Well, you know, Joshua,
when you come on these shows you never heard of it.
You get One of our objectives is you get to learn,
and you learn something tonight just because you tune in.
Great stuff, Joshua, do all right, Candy your perspective now

(04:26):
what the Masters is about? And Rory.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
So typically we do not watch golf. I haven't, not
that I don't like it, it's just not it's the
sport for me, but kudos to anybody that plays it.
We did turn tune into my happ instance because we
were wanting to watch sixty minutes, but the Masters was

(04:53):
still going on, so we actually got to see the
playoff poll, which I thought was he did a really
good job, Rory. It was just cool to see him
with all his emotion and how he knelt down onto
the you know, grass and cried. He went and he
you know, hugged a lot of different people, just that

(05:16):
genuine feeling than when he actually got the green jacket on.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
That was cool.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
It was cool to watch. It's always cool for an
elite player to win the Grand Slam. I meaning, you
went won all the championships, the major championships. Josher is
also a Grand Slam in tennis as well, so not
just baseball, but yes, so and.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Also Joshua just you know, Justin Rose was in the
playoff pole with him, so he's a runner up. So
it's okay. I mean I realized he had the playoff balls.
Good point, tho. I mean both of them put up
a good fight on that final eight.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Yes, okay, yeah, I'm going to I mean skip skip
the thing to George for a second. I'm gonna go.
I am I the thing. I'm gonna go get my
I'm gonna get my studio set up. It won't take
long and I'll be right there now.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
We'll call on you last. Don't worry about Jacob. You're okay,
you bet all right? Thank you? Yeah, and Joshua George.
Just to make your point, Yeah, he was driving, so
he'll be back in the studeill Dieco will go away
with that said, Well, we'll switch it over to George,
We'll go over the Fenland, they'll go over to Brian
and when Jacob gets back out of the final word
on it, okay.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Well, you know this guy is very determined. You know,
the determination of not winning a major since twenty fourteen.
Imagine that. Imagine that in tennis if your name was Serena,
imagine headed uh uh. You know, in golf, if your
name is Nicholas or Woods or Palmer, it is unheard

(06:51):
of for a gentleman of golfer be a lady or man.
They both had the Grand Slams to wait fourteen. Since
two thousand and fourteen, he's been waiting him, waiting and
waiting to get this victory to complete his career Grand Slam.
I really think that I thought he was going to
lose it. I mean, he was so upset, it's so frustrated.

(07:13):
When he missed that makeable putt on eighteen, I thought, man,
this is it. Yeah. They cut away and they showed
Rose practicing taking his t shots. At the range, you know,
because he was there just in case there was going
to be a tie. Lo and behold, there ended up
being a tie. Now the only one thing. And nobody's
talked about this, but just I will for the heck

(07:34):
of it.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Rose spent a lot.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Of time, like I just said, on the practice green,
I mean now the practice tape. Now, Rory didn't do
any practicing. He went straight from eighteen over to back
to the tee where the first playoff hall was going
to be played. He got there and lo and behold,
Rose wasn't there yet. And I'm saying to myself, really,

(08:00):
you practice and you're not there yet. And then finally
they showed him in his cart and he had you know,
he had the driver there driving him over there. He
got there a little bit late. I don't know if
that affected anything.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Probably not.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
He had a night shot. I mean, he and I
had a real nice shot when he got on the green. Rose,
but Doyle boy McElroy had the better of the two shots.
And what a finish it was. And the raw emotion
falling to his knees. That wasn't made up, folks, that
was real emotion, and he was shaking. He could see
that his arms, you know, shaking. It was just an

(08:32):
unbelievable event and unbelievable tournament. And hats off to Rory.
Good job, good job.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
All right, I'm gonna roll with Joshua's comments. I'm gonna
put him on the screen myself. Candy'll handle the other
stuff because this is a good segue for what looking
for to defend the thought. Copy that and he'll get
to it in a moment. But I want to get
his other comments. So first, Mariy' is a legend, no
question about it. Will continue the role since he Johnson
loves his sport anyway, so he's one of the best ever.

(08:59):
No brainer. That's my response to that comment. But great
mind sinc. Elect Joshua good stuff, keep it rolling, and
he stills a long career ahead of him. There's a
no doubter, and the practice is just to stay warm.
There's your golf expert. We'll see now not only does
he know hockey well, but he knows golf extremely well
as well. All right, well, what out further delay? Pen

(09:19):
give me your comments about Rory McElroy's incredible feat.

Speaker 7 (09:23):
I watched the Masters third every year, and this year
I was watching Thursday Friday. I was on the film
with Brian a lot during it. We were going back
and forth talk about who's gonna win it. We were
both hoping Rory would win it. He Brian said Friday,
he said, Rory needs to have a big weekend Saturday,
and Saturday he picked it up. He justin Rose took

(09:46):
he had can take command lead of Friday, and then
Rory just stepped up Saturday. I thought he was gonna
lose it at the eighteen, like George said, after missing
that two foot punt, and I thought, I was like,
here we go, He's gotta lose it another one. And
then he goes and gets the playoffs. And then when
he goes down his knees will remind me of Tiger

(10:06):
Woods back in two thousand when he celebrated his his
first Masters. So it was awesome to see love, to
see him go down and cry. It was awesome a
lot hugging him. And when he put that green jacket on,
it was it fit really nice. It was awesome to
see him wear that green jacket. So hopefully gets another
one before he retires.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Well, I'll get Joshua draw a credit for this. I
put money on Roy a win and do this was
a good year. I would say that was a pretty
sound investment. Josh will keep it up, all right. With that,
said Ryan, some thoughts of the Masters.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
Yeah, it's like Pensman said with me, we were hoping.
We were glad that Roy mcleworth won. Also, he's won
three times this year, the Player's Championship and the at
Mt Pebble Beach at the Program, so he's already got
three wins now that he's got the Masters. And when
he went to his knees, it it just broke my
heart because I knew that he will wanted to win,

(11:01):
but the you know, missing the putt. When he was
missing the putt, I was like, oh gosh, can this
be ending career? Because if he'd have lost that Masters,
I don't know what we would have seen. Would he
had a meltdown completely if he would to lose in
the playoff and then lose that little five little putt.

(11:23):
But I'm happy that he won. I'm really happy. And
it brought me to thinking back when Fred Couples won
years ago back at the Masters. It had that same
feel to it, and Greg Norman and some of the
big jack Nicholas with his big wins at the Masters.
I mean, you got to think about Ama Palmer went
in there. A lot of these golfers have won the Masters,

(11:44):
and I just think that Roy showed up and he
played good. But I just you know, so let's just
see what he can do now at the some of
the other tournaments. Can he win that or he just
let's just see if he does a different strategy now
that he won the Masters.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Before I turn over to Jacob, we'll go back to
Joshua Thorp. Keep him coming, Josha, I'll put every one
of them out. He would come back that sure and
try again. Sure, why not? I already got one green chat.
I got nothing wrong with trying to defend the title.
So and the only thing I'll say about the whole
thing is up to this point, we know that Rory
McElroy is a great golfer. But he's been outspoken against
a lift golf group, and I understandably so because you

(12:27):
have competition against the PGA at this time this weekend,
he was able to solidify his legendary standus because when
I tell you, only six people have won their Grand
Slim and he can put himself in that elite company.
That's definitely an easy way to get into history. All right,
Jacob back, he's comfortable and he's safe. You have the
final word on the Masters. We have a lot to

(12:48):
get to tonight here on the Sports Exchange. Go ahead, Jacob.
Finally on the Masters.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
A couple of pieces of trivia on the thing we
keep hearing it from my hometown. He actually played, and
they keep in mind ending us of this too. On
their in their little hometown, Quincy, Illinois, we had a
little thing every year called the Little People's Golf Championship.
And even though he'd won the other three, the other

(13:14):
three slams, we never heard this until right now. I
guess they dug it up somewhere. They found out he
played in the Little People's Golf Championship in Quincy, Illinois,
two thousand and two. So they dug that up out
of somewhere, out of nowhere, out of the mothballs. I
don't know how. But here's the thing I noticed about

(13:34):
that nineteen seventy for instance, in nineteen seventy Masters, you
had Gene Hitler versus Billy Casper for the slam. You know,
for a playoff, you want to know how that playoff
was done eighteen holes on a Monday at five o'clock,
at five o'clock, at five o'clock in the evening, eighteen

(13:56):
holes and you would have that and this or three
o'clock or something, so you would have the they had it.
Then There's no way you would do something like that
right now because there's no ETV would allow that. You
know what they did. They went straight to the eighteenth
hole now and you have a sudden death. And really,
by itself, that whole playoff showed how different television is now.

(14:20):
I mean, how just the fact that in nineteen seventy,
that's fifty five years ago. These people, these players, I mean,
are the fans that are watching, could wait all that
time on CBS to wait for eighteen holes again, which
makes ninety holes in the thing because there's three channels.

(14:42):
You would lose people today if you try that. You
would need to do it right away and you'd have
to be able to get that. But truthfully, I don't
now that Roy McElroy has won the Masters. Got to
remember he's one of six and shockingly, when I first
looked it up, Arnold Palmer wasn't one of the ones
that have the all four of them, because he couldn't

(15:03):
win the PGA Championship, but there was six of them.
There's Jack, there's Tiger, There's let's see, I believe, let's see.
There's Jack, there's Tiger, there's Casper, there's Hogan, there's Snead,
and there's I forget the last, Nicholas Nicholas. So yeah,

(15:25):
so they had those, I mean and then now and
Nicholas and now Rory. But there's those. That's the big
thing about is there's people now that they're kind of
living off of their they're living off of this. It's like,
all here can win ten, twelve, fourteen of these. It's like, no,
he just had a moment. He's still gonna be the
same as always. And that's what that is. If he

(15:45):
was gonna have it, he would have won ten by
the time he's twenty eight. And it's like, sometimes you
just have your moment. There's nothing wrong with the way
Rory's career is. It's just the media is kind of
going on the edge right now. If and you know,
if Tiger is somehow I'll find a way to win
again someday, they would say he's gonna beat Jack even
though his back is gone. It's just the way they

(16:06):
do it.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
All right, We're going to ride to Joshua door train.
If you're still on here. Josh I got a hockey
topic and win Incorporate will continue to move these things along,
even have an incredible Pundit's pund the topic that everybody's
gonna want. I'll give you a little HNT that says
nothing to do with politics. This is a legendary topic,
and so stay with us. Everybody off to a great
start today. Rory played the best game. Not every player there.

(16:28):
He didn't play good. No, you better play way better
than good. It's gonna win this tournament. Keep in mind
the Master's Tournament was one when Tiger blew way the field.
They had to. Tiger proved the whole thing. So, as
I as promised, we will talk about a hockey topic.
I teased about it on my first Facebook post and
now I'm not teasing about it anymore. The Milwaukee Admiralds
have agreed to a four year essential with the National

(16:50):
Predators through two thousand, from twenty twenty eight through twenty
twenty nine season. So I asked the question to the
cruise that's Okay, there's Milwaukee a good future NHL mansion market.
But Candy, I'm going to let you go ahead and
mention JB's comments and then you follow suit as well,
and then I'll go around the horn with this one.

(17:12):
This is the one that really intrigues me, says, you know,
most people would have thought Milwaukee. Well, keep in mind,
the Milwaukee Brewers happened to be the parent club in
Nashville happens to be the Triple A team, So it's
interesting how they were going reverse into this area. Go
to JV's comments, and then I'll put Joshua's doors comments

(17:33):
up there as well. Intriguing one. I want to get
it out there, and it's a great opportunity to put
tennis in hockey. End this particular show, all right, can'ty
go ahead with JB and the new.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
So?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
JB says that the Milwaukee has two major sports, no
reason not to have hockey. I think they would do well,
especially if they can build a rivalry between Chicago and Detroit.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Okay, you're from the area, what do you think?

Speaker 6 (18:03):
So?

Speaker 2 (18:03):
The Milwaukee Admirals have been very popular with Milwaukee. They
have clinched the Calder Cup for those of you that
may or may not know this, I believe it's this weekend.
They're still playing, but they've already clinched a spot in
the playoffs. They are actually gonna wear their jerseys that

(18:26):
honor Bob you girkis Bob Youker was very much a
part of talking about them. I'm very much a part
of Milwaukee. Now. Can they sustain an NHL club? I'm
not positive. I'm not convinced. It depends on where the
ticket prices would be, because Milwaukee is really a blue

(18:48):
collar town, and yes, they get behind their teams, and
the question would be where would they play. Would they
be able to play in Feiser Forum? I honestly I don't.
I don't know if it was built for both hockey
and basketball, because I know the Milwaukee Bucks play there
and I didn't look that up to see if they could.

(19:10):
The Petits who built them the Bradley Center are no
longer with us, so I don't know who would step
up and build them build an NHL stadium. It would really,
like I said, it really depend on the tickets because

(19:32):
to support an NBA team and an NHL team downtown
during the winter months where it gets cold, and like
I said, depending on ticket prices, but what I love
to see it, sure, and I would throw in with JB.
Not just Detroit and Chicago. If you're gonna go all

(19:53):
the way to Detroit, you're gonna go all the way
to Minnesota too, because that's about the same distance. So
you can throw the wild in there too, is it me?
The Admirals have done well and they've been successful, but
I'm not sure that an NHL team would make it there.

(20:14):
And I'm just being completely honest, like I'd love to
see it, but I don't know that.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
It would work all right. So here's what I'm gonna
do right now on this subject, and turn it around.
Josha Door is gonna piggyback off of me, or if
piggyback off of him, because's got a couple of interesting
points up there, and everybody will know where going with
all of this. So no Atlanta in Houston, I'd be
hard to press the thing. Atlanta would get it, but

(20:40):
Jacob will have a word on this one. Unless they
put it in the suburbs, Houston's gonna get one. So
here's what I'm gonna say, if hypothetically, if you're gonna
We talked about this on The Hockey Show last week.
The area that I think should get one would be
Kansas City and bring back the Kansas City Scouts, and
that will let what that will enable you to do

(21:01):
is create the I seventy rivalry between Kansas City and
Saint Look. That's what I think. I think the Kansas
City Scouts deservant and they would have an exclusive arena
for that particular sport as a lone anchor tenant. Now
let's go ahead and piggy back off of Joshua because
I read this also as well. Utah Stadium was not
built for hockey, but their make it work for now

(21:22):
until it's fully renovated to be better for hockey, No
doubt about it. They are. But remember one thing I
want to add to a little nugget to this one
as well, is a Utah Hockey Club had an opportunity
to accept expansion status and they also had the opportunity
for relocation status and they wanted nothing to do with

(21:43):
the Arizona Coyotes. So the current stadium is being renovated. Obviously,
they're looking for a permanent nag, which they should probably
have by the end of the year. They went by
Utah Hockey Club, but to a doors credit. Again, he
touches on some really really good points. So Joshua continue
the role because we have another topic I know you're

(22:04):
going to comment on. I'm just prepare for him. I'm
looking for the best topics that I can to put
on the show that strike human interest course, because at
some point somebody's going to talk about them, and we
want to be different. We're not only just a sports show,
but every now and then, because the Jacob Christmas return,
we like to incorporate the Pundit's pundit affic because that
was a really really good show and obviously Jacob's able

(22:25):
is well rounded in more ways than just sports. Joshua,
that's what I think about it again. Atlanta to me
is a if if only if it goes of the suburbs.
Houston's a no brainer. Kansas City is my favorite. With
that said, I'm going to turn it over to Jacob
and let you respond to Joshua.

Speaker 6 (22:41):
Go ahead, yeah, but I'll bring up Milwaue in the second.
Atlanta is this correct?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
On this?

Speaker 6 (22:47):
They the Braves did not. I mean, unless the Braves
were a really good team, they would have trouble at
certain parts of the year, trying to especially at night time,
trying to get the crowds over in Atlanta, to trying
to go into the downtown Atlanta. No one wants to
go to that area, especially when they were going to nine.
You're going near to Marta and going into Margin. Everything

(23:08):
just wasn't a very It wasn't very safe. It gets
crowds like crazy now and it has the it has
the battery, and it has all that stuff like that.
For the truest part, it's beautiful. You'd have to see
it for yourself. It's gorgeous. Now they get the crowds
in that suburbs and the Atlanta's one chance and if
you want to call the corashes again, we could do

(23:29):
that with Atlanta's one chance is North Fulton or Cherokee County.
That's their shot. But as far as Milwaukee, and I'll
tell you this, Candy, here's the deal, I would agree
with you. I am only a fifty to fifty on this.
I would agree with you if the they if Saint
Louis already was still making all of their the crowds
and they were doing just by, and I would say

(23:50):
you're correct. But because they had that deal. But Saint
Louis is struggling with the Cardinals, even if they win,
they're struggling with the people at the Cardinals, which is
dangerous for that city. They need the crowds. And then
I mean, I mean blues up now just depending on
which they have no football team. The city's in a

(24:12):
lot of trouble. The infrastructure is terrible. Milwaukee could take
Saint Louis's trophy right there as far as that nice city,
you know that that nice kind of blue collar city
that could be able to get people. You can go
most anywhere in the town and put it in the stadium,
Milwaukee could. Milwaukee could take that trophy from Saint Louis
because Saint Louis. If Saint Louis doesn't get out of

(24:34):
their own way and get the Cardinals back, you know,
as far as popular, they're gonna lose. They're gonna not
only lose the They're not only gonna lose the team,
They're gonna lose the city because they can't do that.
So I think Milwaukee could absolutely take the Saint Louis
and trophy if.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
You will, Okay, let me go to Robbert Orge really
quickly agree with Candy, prices are importing in rich Seattle
and have to lower their prices get success. Doubt about that.
So I mentioned Joshua, if George Stay is going to subhere,
it is the only chance I think it has in
Atlanta because you already tried downtown twice it didn't really
work out. So with that said, I'm an depends then.

Speaker 7 (25:14):
Yeah, I agree with everybody that they're saying. But Candy,
what you're talking about with Milwaukee Bucks, they wells Fargo
Center in Philadelphia. They they have Flyers, they have the
Sixers play at the same steam if they might be
able to do it, if they can pull it off,
but it all depends on the ticket and I don't
know if they have the capacity of or I don't
know if the capacity, but I don't know if they

(25:34):
can make the room for it. But if they're going
to play, it'll probably be where the Bucks Stadium is.
So that's that would be a good fit for that team.
It'll be a good team to have another team added
to the NHL. Be interesting to see what the NHL
does with that. So, and I agree with the Atlanta
thing because Atlanta thing didn't work out and so so

(25:55):
that's by take on.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
That, Okay, George and Brian will finish out the top.
After that, we're going to go to the the point
of the segment, followed by the followed by our station. Right, Candy,
there's something you want to add to this, I do.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
But the other gentleman can go first, and then.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
I'll all right, go ahead, George.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Well, you talk about a freeway series between Kansas City
and Saint Louis Scott, But how about between the Blackhawks
and the new Milwaukee franchise. That's a great brivay. I
see this as possible. And I'll tell you why. Seattle
was an NBA town for year after year after year
they never got an NHL franchise, and now they have

(26:38):
the crack that have done very well. And the same
thing for Milwaukee basketball, basketball basketball and some great teams.
As we know, Loue al Cinder, Milwaukee Bucks a great,
great franchise, really it has been, so I see it
as a possibility in Milwaukee. I also am down on Atlanta,
even though my daughter and my son in law really
want a team back there in the worst ways, so

(27:00):
they can see least the Red Wings a couple times
a year. I don't think it's going to happen. I
don't know. I just don't see it happen. And they
had two chances at it already. Nobody wants to go
to Quebec except me, and that's what I said on
the show last week. But that's okay. It probably won't
happen anyways. So yes, I'm gonna do thumbs up. I'm
gonna hope for Milwaukee.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Well, the only I'll say about it is I do
believe that at Milwaukee can support an NHL franchise. This
is an excellent sports town. They can put people in
anywhere they want. It's a sleeping giant as far as
I'm concerned as a Midwest sports on. It really is.
They can put twenty five thirty thousand people at Miller
Park whatever they're calling it these days. In their sleep,

(27:38):
the Milwaukee Bucks are drawn. So there's no doubt in
my mind that a Milwaukee NHL team would succeed. Joshua,
you do. Here's what I'm gonna do because of you.
I'm not going to make a prediction on the Cup.
George probably won't either because he's on the Hockey Show.
But the other individuals that are not on that show
are free to make a prediction for the Cup, but
we're going to refrain for another show. We will address

(28:01):
your subject. But Brian, what are your thoughts on the
uh as?

Speaker 5 (28:07):
I said, Uh, No, I think it will. I think
it'll It'll be good in Milwaukee because you got the
Chicago you got the Chicago area, and it would mix
in with you know, you got already you got Milwaukee
Brewers in baseball, and you got the Chicago Cubs. You've

(28:27):
got the Chicago White Sox. They're already a rival. So
if you just bring in the new team Milwaukee hockey,
then I think it'll work. And I think it'll working
in there my thing, But I don't think it'll work
in Atlanta because of the traffic. I mean, you've already
got I mean, you've already got a lot of uh

(28:49):
you don't have a lot of hockey around here. But
I don't think it'll work in Atlanta at all with
all the traffic being around that area, because it's already
four deep. When you go through there, it just be
another madhouse.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah, Katie, have a final word on that. We go
to our funded funded segment.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
So I did a little research. The Five Serve Forum
could handle hockey, it would have. It has a capacity
of fifteen thousand, one hundred and seventy eight. The one
thing that they would have to do is they would
have to coordinate because the Milwaukee Bucks play there and
so does Marquette plays there, so they'd have two basketball
teams competing for time. That Milwaukee Admirals averaged six thousand,

(29:32):
one hundred and thirty nine in attendance this year and
they play it, you'd UW Panthers Arena, which has a
capacity of nine thousand, one hundred, so they were only
drawing six thousand, one hundred, which is good for them.
But that's why I'm saying, I'm not exactly sure an

(29:53):
NHL franchise and they would be able to support them.
Maybe I'm wrong. I if they got them, I would
be happy and would support it, but I just don't
know if the town would.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Well that's okay, all right, very quickly pundon segment, Kaman,
who do you think is gonna win? The time?

Speaker 7 (30:11):
Washington Capitals, they look like they're for check is good,
everything's good to go. I think it's gonna be Josh
is gonna be happy when I say this, but it's
gonna be come between the Florida Panthers and Washington. But
I think Washington has the edge right now.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Okay, Katie, you have any positions on this.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
I don't, but I Pensman. I like your thought process.
I mean, it would be kind of cool to see
the Panthers do it a second time. I just don't
know if they have it in them this year.

Speaker 6 (30:41):
Right Hey, Jacob, I could see the Panthers repeating, you know,
and then you have obviously have the Jets. But I
will tell you this, Blues are hot again. They're twenty
four out the last twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
They did.

Speaker 6 (30:55):
This is how they did it when they came from
January and twenty nineteen, so we will see. It's like,
I'm this is just reminded me of nineteen. Maybe I'm
going to be wrong. But that's a tough one because
because they could shock.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
You, you know what I mean, the Blues, Ryan, I'm
gonna go with the Washington Capitals. I think they'll win.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah, yeah, I'll go with Joshua dra you know, I
will say this the only I'm not gonna go with them.
As far as the prediction, I think that the Panthers
in the Lightning series is going to be a classic series.
We'll leave it at that fair enough, because they every
time these two hated Florida rivals get together, it's always
fun to watch. I've seen some of their games in
the regular season, and you know, the intensity picks up

(31:40):
tremendously when they hit the postseason. Now we go to
the pundit fundic sevement and then we go to a
station and break right stop hockey. Tenneth waiting enough. We
will have some basketball a little bit later, but let's
go here the pundit funded segment. Kenny, We'll put the
logo up there for the sake of what this segment
is really. Panthers have been playing bad hockey. Hopefully with

(32:02):
everyone back healthy they can turn off. Well, that's what
they have to hope for. They better be healthy if
they have a chance to get through arguably the most
demanding tournament on the planet. But tonight, the fund segment,
it is the price is right. It's handed out three
hundred and fifty million dollars in cash at prizes since
nineteen seventy two. Rested piece Bob Barker used to host

(32:23):
two third Consequences Candies turn off with JB's comments.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
The Price is Right. It's definitely one of the most
iconic game shows in history. From when I was a
little kid and I go home for lunch from school,
we would watch The Prices Right. That's where we eat lunch.
The fact that it gave ordinary people a chance to
win life changing prizes, it was always pretty cool. It
took the basic concept of people should know how much

(32:49):
things cost, I gave them a chance to win a
prize is based off of it. I was just always
a fun watch seeing people play stupid little games to
try and win ridiculous prizes and having fun.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Okay, Candy, what's your thought about The Price Is Right?
I know I always like to ket around with The
Price Is Right when it comes to talking about our
dear friend making price and she always gets a kick
out of the people mentioned it to her. But I'll
let you go ahead and comment, and I have a
quick comment on that. We'll move it around and then
we go to the station break Go ahead, I mean,
and what doors saying Prices Right rockets weaker, episode slaps. Okay,

(33:31):
I guess that means you likes it. I'll leave it
at that.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Kudos to them for such a long running game show.
Was it one that I watched a lot of it? Wasn't.
I didn't watch a lot of it. I watched it
from time to time. I mean, you know, spinning the
wheel and trying to decide is this is the price
higher or lower? Is this item higher lower than that item?

(33:55):
And uh, it gave them a chance to bid on
their the final uh final selection or whatever you package.
Whatever it was, it was, it was neat. It had
a long run. You know, game shows aren't what they
used to be. I don't think people have the attention
span of watch them like they used to, which is sad.

(34:17):
But uh, kudos for running as long as it did.
That's that's a testament to the show.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Well, josh O Door, I'll say one thing, man, you
may you scored a lot of points with with your
act in the chat room, So I give you a
lot of credit, my brother, you doing a really dynamite job.
You're definitely like you're definitely the what do I want
to call it life for the chat tonight for all
the right reasons. All right, So josh I'll give you that.

(34:50):
Keep it up and we'll see what happened down the road.
But your performance and I has been nothing short of outstanding.
Take that to the bank and your boys and we'll
keep it going. Pat, what do you think that the
Price is Right?

Speaker 7 (35:00):
The Price is Right was awesome when Bob Barker did it,
but when Drew Carrey did he was like, eh, so,
but I like it, like I used to like it
when I was little, but now that, like Candy said,
it was everybody's attention spans like going here there. It's
like everybody has ADHD and net has too much time,

(35:21):
doesn't have too much time to watch, so so that's
I like it, So I give him credit. But all
game shows have to end sometimes, So okay, well.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
You know what, Brian Pennett, what do you think about
the Price is Right?

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:35):
And I would depend, but I liked it when Bob Barker,
I don't know, is it Drew carry I don't really
have time to watch game shows. I'm too busy preparing
for these.

Speaker 5 (35:43):
Go ahead, Brian, you know, since I was a little
kid when I did, like j D said, like he
was a kid and I was too. I enjoyed watching
it because you didn't know what they were gonna do.
And with the long microphone that Barker had and then
in his you know, cameo with his suits and all that.

(36:04):
You just never know what it was gonna be because
you got these characters or you got these people trying
to win money, and it was just a whot of
who is gonna make the lowest or the hot no
excuse me, the lowest prize of that prize. And it
was this funny like how close they could get it.
But it was fun when I was a little kid

(36:24):
and I had we had it on all the time
because after that you.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Had the.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
The afternoon shows and then you had the you know
all that.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
So I liked it.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
But after he left, I didn't watch it too much,
but I still liked it though.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Totally respect that. All right, George, I already asked you
for it, didn't or not? No, I will now go ahead,
thank you, thank you.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
So it started its September fourth, nineteen seventy two, so
I was about sixteen years old when it started, and
my mother would have that show on every single day.
She just loved that show. The price is right, and
like somebody said earlier, it gave an average person a
chance to do something that's not normal because, let's face it,

(37:11):
these other game shows, there's like two people on the
whole show Wheel of Fortune. Okay, you got three people
and they're on during the whole show. But in Prices Ready,
you had that big audience. You had at least fifty
to seventy five people sitting back there, maybe even one hundred,
I'm not sure. And that come on down when he
picks a contestant to play, just great. It was more

(37:33):
I think, more suitable for you know, the common element
of surprise and the small guy getting a prize, so
to speak. So I did like it better with Bob Barker.
But I'm not taking any away from Drew Carrey. He's
doing a hell of a job too on the show.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
You know what I'm playing Robert Wordell's kind of because
I like where this guy's headed at. I like the
price as right as a kid. I had a crush
on some piles from hit that one taler on the wheel.
Oh my goodness, Robert. The only thing I can say
about your coming is you hit a bull's eye. I'll
say this, and I'm gonna give Jacob Chris of the
last word on this My four favorite game shows when

(38:13):
you obviously the price is ready is number one. I
like Hollywood squares. Let's make a deal. We all have
to deal with that nowadays. And it's even more effective
when you're in Mexico because you're trying to save your
money and get ripped off. The Joker's Wild doesn't get
the attention because Jack Berry don't think lasted long enough.
But it was a great one. And the Wheel of Fortune.
While you want to talk about models, mister Ordell, you

(38:35):
got one there, all right, Jacob Crisler's got the final
topic on the pundit Pundt the pright is right. What
do you think, Well, it's part of our world.

Speaker 6 (38:44):
I mean we've seen it just recently in the last
couple of years on Family Guy while he's drinking a
lot of red bull and sitting spiting the wheel off
their hinges. You know, it's just you know, that kind
of stuff. But the thing is you were saying that
you were you had a crush on trying to get

(39:04):
that dollar. Bill, I had a crush on Barker's beauties.
We're just two different guys. But the but here's the thing, Pensman,
let me tell you about this. The reason that's such
an ant. I like Drew Carrey. I was actually at
the prices right once, and the Drew Carrey price is
right in the audience. I never got in, of course,
but I was actually in the audience, which was pretty cool.
But let me tell you this, I like Drew carry

(39:25):
I think he's a good guy. I think it's everything.
But remember this, it's just like the Tonight Show with
Johnny Carson. Okay, with Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and
Bob Barker's price is right. There's always a little bit
of mystery. There's always a little bit of naughty, you
know what I'm saying. It's just like like, for instance,

(39:47):
there's there's Johnny asking telling Dolly Parton, I would do
to pay a million dollars to see what you have
under there just was and heard just giggling. And then
there's and then there's Bob asking a twenty one your
old let her age is and she whispers it to him.
He says, just perfect. You know, It's just it's a
little just a teens but naughty without being dirty.

Speaker 7 (40:08):
You know.

Speaker 6 (40:09):
It's just a little mystery. And that's what made it fun.
It wasn't just the prizes. It wasn't just anything. It's
just a little bit of anuendo, not too much, not
too dirty, not to anything. It's just like have a
little you know what I'm talking about, George, just a little,
just a little fun.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
You know.

Speaker 6 (40:24):
It's like Drew's too afraid to do this because he
wants to have a job. See, you couldn't. You could
not cancel Bob because he owned it. It was the
Bob Barker Studio. He owned the production. You can't cancel that,
and CBS wouldn't dare try. You can cancel Drew because
he doesn't own anything. He just wants the job. And
that's the that's the reason, there's the issue. That's why

(40:46):
you can't cancel Dave Chappelle. He owns everything, you know
what I'm saying. They own everything. It's like that's what happened.
But bringing back to that, it wasn't. The games are
the same. Drew's done a great job with Ke and
the games around and doing all that kind of stuff.
It's just the bit of the Just like with Tonight's show,
if you watch the old Tonight shows and you watch everything,

(41:07):
a bit of the naughtiness is just gone. Everybody's too afraid.
That's why the show isn't the same. You'll if you
ever go to Pluto, Pensman, you ever go to Pluto
and watch the old ones, just watch a little bit
of the teeny bit of the naughtiness. Just watch it.
You'll see it at least twice a show. And you'll
see at least twice a show. And the same with
David Carson. It's just like it's missing. And you'll notice

(41:29):
that you just watch how Eggs Shelled. Everybody is now,
that's why it's not the same. And ate the prizes
because everybody in the games are the same. It's just
it's doesn't have that same oof anymore.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Well, the only thing I'll say is I like the
way Barker closed out the show with the controlling the
pet population. And I can't just sit here and tell
me that they're in a bunch of people in the
chat room, let alone on this group that have passed.
We have a couple of great cats, so I'm glad
to keep them Spading and Newt good stuff with Bob Barker,
great all light round.

Speaker 6 (42:00):
Well, Drew does well. Drew does it with mental health,
which is good too.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Well that's true. But Bob Parker, let's face the reality.
If we're gonna go out there and talk about controlling
the pet population, and the fact that what Drew's doing
with mental health is great, he had to come up
with his own thing. The pet population is something that
still has to be addressed nowadays, because you never, you
never hate to see pets go down prematurely out of
a chance. Thankfully, we went over to the Humane Society

(42:24):
or Animal rescue shelter and found two great cats. And
I'm proud of bucking boots all day long. And I
remember Hortel's out a roll. We got a Wardell Doors
show tonight in addition to the six of us, So
that's great stuff. I love pressure of luck. No Wammies
and Supermarkets League was a classic America some guy woman
when swung the wheel and did not go away. Can't

(42:47):
do that.

Speaker 6 (42:50):
Let me say that, Rob, Let me just say that
Drew can't do that anymore. No, I mean, we'd say
all this, but remember this, Don Rick continued his act
all the way to death. And that's when you couldn't
do it anymore. When people own theirselves, own a business,
or own anything, they could do whatever they want. The

(43:11):
problem is not enough people own their own stuff. They're
just a job and they're afraid, and they're afraid to
lose their job. They're afraid to lose their livelihoods. When
you get enough people that learn about owning their own stuff,
then this will stop.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Great stuff. Well, I'd love to be able to talk
about this subject forever with Candy's going to a station
of breaking that we have. Then after we come back
from the station, Rik, We're going to talk about the
Detroit Pistons and much much more. Thanks for hanging with
us here on the Sports Exchange Up. The audience continues
to grow as the topics become more and more interesting.
Candy Go Ahead.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
South Florida Tribute Publishing Company published a book, Lessons from
the Microphone, Tuning into the during Wisdom of Visionary Leaders.
It is written by our host, Scott the MotorCity mad
Mouth Morgan Roth, and the forward was written by George Iikehorn.
It talks about Scott's forty plus years in the media

(44:04):

new school media. Kind of like Old Family Feud, New
Family Feud, Just Kidding. Book is available on Amazon Barnes

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Right, Robert Ordell, listen to Josh at some point or another.
I don't know if you're still watching or will would
you ever go on screen again? I personally, the only
thing I'll say about this is he's ideally suited for
the Hockey Show. So if he ever wants to come on,
come on he show he wants. But I think Hockey's
is strange tonight. We were fortunately to incorporate hockey and
tennis tonight because I had two subjects that went along

(45:19):
wall with what we were doing. I think Joshua has
a lot of raw talent. Of courses, does he want
to come on and not only face comments in the
chat room, but talk about the sports that he dearly was.
He'd be a great addition if he ever decides to
do it. But I'll leave it at that at the moment.
But hockey's definitely his thing. All right, We're going to
go on with the Detroit Pistons. I'll have a couple
of topics on here that I'll just use for news

(45:41):
items only, and those of you that want to comment,
I don't feel free to let me know, and I'll
go from there for the sake of keeping the show
on a consistent faces. Go ahead, Candy, one quick little thing.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Since we were talking about game shows, I do want
to say rest in peace to wink Mark Martindale. He
was a hit game show of Gambit and Tic tac though,
so any of you that used to watch those shows
he passed away yesterday. I believe it was so.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Wink Martindale, right, I think it was ninety one if
I remember correctly, you were Okay, well you have Minke.

Speaker 6 (46:18):
Bartindale for ninety one years old for game shows and
you had the four to three defense. Which week do
you want?

Speaker 2 (46:24):
Wellkink? Actually, the first interview he did trivia question. The
first interview he did was young Elgus Prestley.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
Yeah, oh that's good. Yes, Ralph, Ralph Williams kind enough
to join the show. I'm happy for Roy Roe McElroy
and I know Ralph has other commandments on Wednesday, it
just so happens he was able to pop in. All right,
let's go on to the next major topic. I'll get
to a couple of nood items and those of you
that want to come at them, please single me out

(46:54):
on some of them and we can proceed from there.
The Detroit Pistons, obviously, Ron Holland get this, became the
first teenager of the twenty five to five and five
stat line. They came without a turnover. Meanwhile, what an
incredible job that JB. Bickerstaff and his assistance of Don
Kate Cunningham continues to amaze me. He's wearing Chuck Dailey two. Obviously,

(47:18):
the two for Daily was his two championships. Keep in mind,
the Pistons have not won a playoff game. They have
a fifteen game playoff losing streak. But the Pistons will
finish with a five hundred record or better for the
first time since twenty eighteen twenty nineteen, and then they

(47:40):
doubled up on their win total last season before they
all start break with a fourteen to sixty eight mark
in twenty eight twenty six, and then they proceeded to
triple that mark, which was obviously the best the only
team I believe in history that have done it. Another
little side note that the Pistons have also decided to
do is they will only allow tickets in the greater

(48:01):
areas to buy tickets of Little Caesars. I saw this
not only with the release that they provided us with
Steven A. Smith, Chris Russo, Brian Windworth talked about and
they said it was a shrewd move by the Pistons
to do that. They've said that and the reason why
New Yorkers are so smart that they can buy tickets,
and they ended up taking a I to ninety five
series with New York and Philadelphia and turning it into

(48:25):
a Nicks Home Crown. That's a lot. So we're gonna
lead off with George Eikorn. I gave you a lot
about the Pistons. Everybody else can follow suit.

Speaker 4 (48:33):
Well, yeah, I mean it's a great time for Detroit.
I mean, this is a remarkable turnaround from the disaster
of a year ago. JB. Bickerstaffus done a terrific job. Obviously,
Kay Cunningham is having the best year of his pro
career so far. We all know that, and All Star
Game of course.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
Went with that.

Speaker 4 (48:55):
But then you got a journeyman guy named Malik Beasley
who was hitting three pointers like and his sleep. This
guy's remarkable from the arc. He's done a great job,
and it's they're gonna have to put a lot of
money on the table, but that's something else to worry
about in the offseason to try to keep him. But yeah,
the team is playing really well. They're aggressive, They're showing

(49:17):
tendencies of the bad boy era to a certain extent.
Not as bad as those bad boys, but guys like
Isaiah Stewart Beef stew they call him, they got nicknames
on the team. Excitement is back, Excitement's back. Downtown Detroit
is loving the Pistons this year. I think the Knicks
better watch out because this is a possible This is

(49:38):
a possible upset, But we'll see what happens. The Pistons
don't have any near the experience in the postseason as
some of the Knicks do. But that being said, nobody
picked and as you say, Scott, they're playing with house money.

Speaker 1 (49:53):
I like that saying.

Speaker 4 (49:54):
I've heard that a couple of times from the media.

Speaker 6 (49:56):
And Detroit this week, including our friend Jennifer Ham.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Then well, Stephen A. Smith, you know, I'm getting used
to the guy. I'm handling him better and I'm starting
to understand him a little bit more. But he does
he's a nixt guy and he's already said that Davy
Bickerstaff would be his coach of the air. But he thinks, Seria,
it's gonna go seven. So if it goes seven, then
then the Pistons have gained a lot and plus you

(50:20):
get that fifteen game losing strip off back. So with
that said, Jacob, what are your thoughts about the Pistons
back in the playoffs? And this team is a very
dangerous team.

Speaker 6 (50:32):
It was this show that I said game one, and
you guys heard me say this game one about the
discipline that he showed. You are gonna wear what you're
gonna wear, more must what you're gonna wear in the
game that was just the littlest, tiniest piece of discipline,
and it showed that there's gonna be more discipline in
the back that we don't even see. That's what you

(50:53):
guys heard me say that these kind of things, I'm like,
and I said they were going to improve. Boy did
they ever. But I mean, and that's the big deal
by itself, By itself, that's the number one thing that
you gotta do with coaches, and it's everything. And I'm
not going to place a blame on MANI Williams because
he was He's spend morning, he was mourning his wife's death.

(51:13):
That was just a lost year in Detroit, even more
so than normal. That was just a rough time. So
I'm not going to blame him. It's like, I don't
think he's done a whole bunch. What is he an
assistant right now? Is he doing anything?

Speaker 1 (51:26):
Money? Was collecting awful lot of money. Yeah, he's collecting
it from a lot of teams. So that's okay.

Speaker 6 (51:31):
Well, he's probably going to get his life in order
to I mean, he lost his way, he lost his wife,
the one that allowed him, that did all the work,
that allowed him to be the coach he was who
was in the finals, so there was that I'm not
going to put a blame on him like fans will,
but JB. Bakerstaff he brought in a discipline that a
lot of these coaches won't go to. You know, they're
just built, huh, play defense and defense and then the

(51:56):
littlest defense truthfully, but also just the thing like were
on the floor when you go wear in the game
instead of you know, like he's not allowed. Basically, it's
not allowing hoodies completely in the middle of Regulo warm
up and ate all that stuff. You're gonna wear what
you see and see that means more. See and we
heard we heard the Patriots new coach Ryany, new England

(52:21):
new coach Mayol that no, thank you, Brabel. Rabel did
the same thing with his team and you know they're
gonna have an improvement. He brought up. He brought up,
you're not gonna have the hoods in the and Dion
did the same thing. You're not gonna have hoods in
the meeting room. You're gonna get your phones putting away
all that kind of stuff like that. It's little things

(52:42):
like that that bring a team back together. People don't
think of it like that just because they don't have
discipline in their lives. But little things like that bring
more things and more things and layers out, and that's
the biggest deal with it. And the Rabel's gonna get
the same thing. He's gonna get improvements. You just watch
the improvements happen. And I think next year's surprised the

(53:03):
Detroit team will be Chicago will be the Bulls because
they're starting to build a roster themselves right now. So
overall congratulates Detroit and they could have an upset, but
who knows would but it could be an easy, a
tough series with the Knicks.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
Okay, let's have some fun in the chat room. Cyberuski,
you know what only dog check can get us to me.
Dog Check didn't know. Okay, as far as Cyberusky, as
far as Josh, no problem. You know, he's got a
lot of work to do, but anything that he says
positive can only help his case to get out of
my doghouse, because once you get in my doghouse, it's
pretty hard to get out of anyway. Jacob, you talk
a lot, I guess you know, take that as a compliment,

(53:38):
because that's why you're on the show. We don't like
silent movies on this show. We like people that talk
a lot. But he gives you your credit. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (53:46):
I see you do all have the key marks on
your car this week.

Speaker 1 (53:51):
I don't know what you're even saying, but I'm here sport,
so we need to know. Keep it. Wait, all right, Bryan, Pat,
what do you think about the Pistons? Not the ones
that you you're automobile, but the ones that are playing basketball?

Speaker 5 (54:04):
Man, jeez was I don't follow basketball much, but I'll
just tell you this from a standpoint. I remember the
Pistons paying the Bulls a lot, and what I could
figure out I think back now, Well, you know, I
think the Pistons can win, and you just gotta take

(54:25):
the thunder. I mean, they gotta play the Knicks, and
then whoever wins against the Calves, the Pacers, or the Bucks,
or the Celtics or the Magic, I mean the two,
if they're gonna have to. My thing is is if
the Pistons win over the Knicks in four games, do
they play the Celtics or the Magic. I would like

(54:47):
to play the Celtics. I like to see the Pistons
played the Celtics. That'd be a great matchup. I think
in the thing and I think they can pull it out,
so but I would hope they would get in a
championship again.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
I like to him winning in everybody. Let me tell you, Brian,
everybody lets to see the Pistons and the Celtics get
on a hard court. That's an incredible rivalry. They really do.
We all go back in the days. I see some
Greig games, and I had an opportunity to see a
game at the Boston Garden, which was a thrill. And
every time I see Detroit and Boston, it takes me
back to the past. For all the right reason. Pensant, Well,

(55:20):
I let you talk about basketball, said you won't. I
have a feeling your comments will be the least of
them all because you don't have an NBA team in Pittsburgh.
But hey, what for the sake of it, what do
you think about the Pistons and the Nicks.

Speaker 7 (55:31):
I'm happy for Detroit Pistons. I'm glad they're starting to
turn around. Like Brian said, back when I was younger,
they watched a lot of Detroit and Chicago beat series.
But we'll see what happens. I think Boston's going to
run away with the playoffs again, so we'll see what happens.
So I'm just happy for the Detroit Pistons for showing
up and actually playing basketball because right now the Sixers

(55:53):
are going back to what Detroit used to be and
we'll see what happens. And I agree with Chicago's starting
to make can run and start to build that roster upen,
So just be careful what Chicago's starting to sneak their
way back into the picture.

Speaker 5 (56:08):
Hey, Scott, I got one other thing here. The game
odds right now is for New York and the Detroit
Pistons is New York is a plus, I mean minus
six point five and right now to spread is seven
point five right now. So that's just the take of
the odds in the betting right now. So they're saying

(56:31):
that New York would actually win that game to their
favorites to win over Detroit right now.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Wow, that's okay, I'll I'll see it on the floor.
The only thing is that I don't put a lot
of stock in regular seasons Detroit one or three and
one against the next bat. We've seen that many times
with a New Jersey natsmanis actually one two or three
against the Pistons, a Piston out pandedum so, but it'll
it's still adds intrigued when you can throw stats. Candy

(56:56):
has a final word on it, and then I have
an interesting stat. Then I'm gonna throw in there and
they will continue to keep the show rolling. All right, Candy,
what are your thoughts about the Pistons are.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
The next So you talked a little bit about Monty Williams.
For those of you that don't know it, he's getting
paid by the Phoenix Suns and the Detroit Pistons and
he is now coaching at T m I Episcopal.

Speaker 6 (57:19):
So too much Informationiscopal, But.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
That's what I thought.

Speaker 6 (57:27):
But that's what it says.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
I'm like, that's crazy. But yeah, it's Texas Military Institute.

Speaker 4 (57:34):
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
The bank for him. Anyways, here's the.

Speaker 6 (57:42):
Thing, though, Candy, It's like, this is what I wish
more coaches would do. It's the same as like when
I hear fighters that are having to struggle to win
go back a little bit. It's like you you'll hear
it on You'll see it on a for instance, you'll
see it sort of on like a Hallmark movie for instance,
And yeah, it's like going back to their all town.
Also it's the it's this Hallmark movie. But I also

(58:03):
wish a lot of coaches would do that when they're
struggled like that, go back to the basics, like a
tm MY institute. You bring up that's basics a little bit,
not a big crowd, not a big everything. You're kind
of get your confidence back. I wish more in sports
would do that if they're having trouble.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
Interesting points, Jacob, anything else you want to say about
the Pistons and the Nick Candy.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
So I watched the Pistons play the last two games
of the regular season because they took on my Milwaukee Bucks.
They showed a lot of heart, they showed a lot
of hustle, they showed a lot of fight in them.
They are a young, scrappy team, is what I would say.
Malik Beasley has played for numerous teams around the league,

(58:52):
but he seems to have found a home where he
likes and enjoys the environment. So kudos to them. I
wish that I'm all the best as long as they're
not playing My Milwaukee Bucks. It's gonna be honest. Hey,
and I do have JB's his comments.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Yeah, please.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
We're an exciting young team that finally started to turn
the corner. A lot of top draft picks over the
last few years that have come together to have a
great young core nucleus. They have a great future. They've
had a great future. Well it says have a great future.
This year they probably will go very far, but it's

(59:36):
a stepping stone to what the future can hold.

Speaker 1 (59:41):
George E. Torn and I have seen that trill before.
We'll leave it at that. We have because we obviously
covered the pisiness that's always been great to me. And
hopefully one of these days and I get pack to
a little Caesars Areena or somewhere in Florida wherever I can,
I'd like to get there. I've just been so busially
working on another projects. Another thing worth mentioning to the
audiences I will be. I was invited back by the
National Football League to attend the pre draft Zoom Call,

(01:00:04):
and I will be on that call on Friday to
bolster our shows next week. Enjoy anything I can do
with the NFL to stay connected as well, and I'm
really excited about going on that. All right, I'm going
to put a couple of news items out there, and
then we'll keep the show moving. The Cleveland Cavaliers are
the first team in fifty four years and lose three
straight games after a fifteen game winning streak. Why am

(01:00:25):
I putting it that there? Big deal? Okay, so fifty
four years to go out there and loose straight games
after a fifty game with don't worry Cleveland if that's
the worst of my concerns, free game, losing Street. But
here's one of the most interesting connections between the Pistons
and the Cavaliers, and that says I'm only going to

(01:00:46):
tie the coaching situation. Chuck Dailey, coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers,
moved over to the Detroit Pistons. How did that work out?
A couple of championships? Jamie Bickerstaff got let go fire
just like Daily? How's that working out for Detroit? First year?
Pretty done? So if history repeats itself, Jamie Bickerstaff will

(01:01:09):
be appreciated in Detroit like Daily was. Although let's face reality,
I think Kenny Atkinson's done a really good job with
the Cleveland Cavaliers with the group that he has, But
I want to keep the attention focused on the coaches
daily and backer staff. All they had to do was
go two and a half hours to find their next
coaching stop. And the results so far have been pretty good.

(01:01:31):
And that takes care of that. And we're just going
to go over a couple more news worthy items worth mentioning,
and that's this. I'm going to go back to the
National Championship game with the Houston Cougars, who had made
their third title appearance and they've never won, and they'll
have to wait another year to do it. The fourth
title appearance of the Gators. Their last title was in

(01:01:53):
two thousand and seven. And now, obviously they were able
to win two under coach Donovan, they get one under
Todd Golden and Billy Donovan is in the Basketball Hall
of Fame. Every now and then on the sports has changed,
I'm going to bring up news items. I don't expect
everybody to comment on them. I think it's important that

(01:02:14):
sometimes you get so much information you can't get to
it initially, but the information is still good nonetheless, because
I think are main objective without doubt is educate and
inform and I'm prepared to go anywhere again. So the
Gator great run by Calvin Sampson. He did a whale
with job with Houston and for Todd Golden to win
the way he did that was unbelievable. And got to

(01:02:35):
give credit the Gators the national championship nonetheless, and I
think the Houston Krugers were really great bridesmaids considering how
far Calvin Sampson has taken the program. And the last
team he coached in the NBA was the Milwaukee Bucks.
So there you have it. That's the tale of the
tape of that series. And over the course of the
next few weeks, I will continue to add topics only

(01:02:57):
for the sake of mentioning information. Stay on point.

Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
Can I make one little I just want to make
one little interjection for all of those Gator fans. One
of the things I thought that they did was really cool.
The men's basketball team was recognized at their spring game,
which boosted their attendance to fifty six thousand, five hundred

(01:03:23):
and sixty three for their spring football game.

Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
That's a lot you talking about taking advantage of the
basketball team success with a football team. That's all anybody, Jacob,
anything else you want to say about that one?

Speaker 6 (01:03:43):
Not because not because one of the things about it is.
It wouldn't be a shock, but that's going to be
one of the last times we're gonna be hearing I
thought we were bringing up last week about spring games
that we won the last night we heard these kind
of deals because it's going to be more and more
of what we were talking about, less and less spring
games just because of what the reasoning is with nil.
But good jobs to them.

Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
Yeah, great point. Another news item worth mentioning the ascension
of Tennessee sports. Despite the fact that the Tennessee men's
basketball team is zero final fours in program history and
is lost in the last in the Elite eight two
years in a row, the school is the only one
to participate in all forty three NCAA tournaments. Now, that

(01:04:27):
is impressive to think that the Tennessee athletic program, and
I'm going to lead off with you on this one, Jacob,
is actually participated in all forty three NCAA tournaments. What
are your thoughts about that?

Speaker 6 (01:04:38):
The women's one, correct?

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Oh yeah, the women's of one right?

Speaker 4 (01:04:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:04:42):
Pat, Yeah, guess who that is? That's Pat Summits, that's
I mean. And they didn't and they didn't lose.

Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
They didn't have.

Speaker 6 (01:04:50):
Under twenty wins until past Semmon was gone. That tells
you something. It's like to me, I keep saying to
you a thousand times, she's the greatest coach of all time,
men or women. I've said this. It's the reason I
have said it. And it's like, and Megan would agree
with me. You know, I'm talking making price. You know
I'm talking about candy. If you'd agree with me on
this part. The reason I'm saying this part, it's because
it's not that I'm not going to go with the

(01:05:11):
gene Arima congregulations for twelve rings, but I'm she had
eight herself. But I'm going with the fact she built
a spart She literally was on a bus that she
had to fix herself. Had to do all their long,
we had to do everything. We get the gyms, she
had to go find something at the last minute if
the gym would not open for her. I had to
do the war ups and the craziest the places. There's that.

(01:05:32):
So that's brought in what we see with Tennessee today
and and the biggest and the thing about Tennessee, remember
this part. There's a lot of people that come in
from like California and those areas and stuff like that,
which are very sports centric. So that's why the right
then and there it's like like northern California and stuff,

(01:05:53):
and those are very sports centric areas. So that's what's
going to make it even bigger over the years too.

Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Okay, all right, George, Tennessee is getting to be a
really really popular choice for a lot of student athletes.
And I'm glad to hear that. Like you mentioned about
the women's basketball program and the fact that the men's
basketball you know, it's doing well, and I'm pretty sure

(01:06:20):
that's that's the school where our friend coach Bono John Bonago, right, Scott.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
Yeah, I was about to say that, but okay, that's good,
great for you'll see, Well, that doesn't matter. John Bonameago
appeared on Inside the Pick, and when he told me
he didn't come on anymore, he gave me the reason
why I'm going to University of Tennessee. All I can
say is, you better make sure that we have something.
We have a lot of fun, and you're gonna give
me that one on one interview that I've been asking,
you know, I'll give you a book up there, sot

(01:06:48):
so final but in also fairness, the fact that Tennessee
has participated in all forty three n CUAA tournaments is
a lot and it's all right, George, And that's where
we're trying to keep We're trying to keep our point
focused on that, George.

Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
Really really a great streak by those Tennessee volunteers. See
you're talking about across all sports.

Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
Forty Hey, George, Okay, I in all forty three tournaments tournaments?
Do I have to tattoo that over your glasses? Yeah? Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
On that.

Speaker 4 (01:07:25):
I don't know if you mean just basketball tournaments or
all sports forty three tournaments, George, I didn't say basketball.

Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
It's that boxing where you have a top picking division
for everything on the black all forty three tournaments. Really,
really you got a hat trick.

Speaker 4 (01:07:40):
But that one, sick man, that's even more impressive.

Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
Okay, good, put well in your head, Ryan, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:07:48):
My thing about the thing about Tennessee is my mom
used to watch what she still does. She used to
be a big Tennessee balls fan as basketball was, and
I remember watching Pat Summit do her thing. And Tennessee
is growing like it's out of like it's growing in Greenville,
Like it's a great destination. I mean it's only what

(01:08:11):
two hours from Ashville so or maybe three hours. So
it's gonna grow in with the basketball, the football team,
everything that goes on with uh there in Nashville, I
mean not Nashville, but in Tennessee. It's gonna be growing
a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
All right.

Speaker 7 (01:08:32):
Think I defer on this one.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Good good, I mean good if you don't know what,
at least it owns it.

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
So Tennessee has so Tennessee has forty three, Yukon has
thirty six. The question will be will YU can ever
overtake Tennessee. That's the interesting question.

Speaker 1 (01:08:52):
I think, Oh, I gotta get the volunteer. Could it
work to you have forty Yeah, I un believable to
Here's the thing. I like Rick Carnes. I actually met
him over at the University of Texas when I covered
the Texas and Texas State game at the Orelin Center.
I love coach Barnes. I actually saw him there, and
I think he was over at Providence College and I

(01:09:13):
think I met him there, so I had a chance.
Rick Barnes is one of the classiest people. I hope
he does get a chance to win a national championship here,
and let's not lose sight of the fact that his
Tennessee men's basketball team in the tournament did knock out Kentucky,
which is a big thing in those parts. So one
more tops, I want to get to a stay on
the hard wood, and then we're going to go to
a parting shop. Franzis State is under investigation after two

(01:09:36):
men's basketball players reportedly played best on their own games.
According to the Sacramento be Oh my goodness, we're talking
about gambling. So, Jacob Christner, I'd like to hit you
on some of these talkative things. I know you if,
indeed sab Ruski says you talk a lot, You're gonna
have a chance to talk a lot about this one
because I see your head, your hand over your face.

(01:09:57):
I'm sure you saw this earlier and you're at Meanwhile.

Speaker 6 (01:10:02):
They probably sent it right next to a bet MGM logo.
It's just be truthful. It's like, oh, every bit of
this now is irony, and every bit of it is hypocritical.
It's just is now. If they could say this a
few years ago when they weren't in the middle of this,
but you can't anymore, and you, and to me, it's

(01:10:24):
just kind of like the reasoning that they wouldn't put
Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame till he died
because they didn't want to hear it on his Hall
of Fame speech about how there's w bet MGM and
stuff like that while they're telling them to stay away.
You know, it's all that kind of stuff. It doesn't
all of this is ridiculous now until you get rid
of the gambling stuff, you know, you know, as far

(01:10:47):
as though the logos and all that kind of thing.
And they're not going to because it's billions.

Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Worth enough, Okay, George, Yeah, I was really surprised. I mean,
you know, these kids have to learn some they got
to learn some etiquette here and and stay away from
this kind of temptation.

Speaker 5 (01:11:07):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:11:08):
Presno State, you know, is not a huge school. But
they still have done some really good things in college athletics,
and I was I was quite taken. Them back reportedly
better on their own stats in a daily fantasy thing,
and it's just not right. And and maybe they'll learn
a lesson, maybe they'll be told they are no longer

(01:11:29):
on the team. I don't know what the outcome is
going to be kicked out of the college even who knows,
but it's not good and you just got to resist
those temptations if you're playing high school sports or college
sports in this case, fair.

Speaker 5 (01:11:43):
I think I'll comment on that one, fair enough.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
What about your Piman.

Speaker 7 (01:11:50):

Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
Good?

Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
We got two of those, Candy, I know you would
comment ross information.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
You know, we've talked about professionals and how they've bet
on things, and that's why Pete Rose isn't in the
Hall of Fame, let's face it. So what makes college
students think that they can do it themselves? Like, come on,
like this has been so much in the news for allions,

(01:12:19):
some of their you know, part of their team was suspended,
numerous other players from different teams. I just don't understand
why people are so like oblivious to all of these
other people that we've talked about that we're betting on
people and either now they're not in the Hall of Fame,

(01:12:39):
they were suspended for so many games. That's a wake
up call. Come on, you should know better. Do not
bet on your sport that you're playing on period, not
your game, not your team, not any other teams. Don't
do it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
We hear enough about nil transfer port of a gambling
at the college level. No, no way, don't do it.
I believe that that I still feel it's a subject
we have to talk about, nonethe left. It's something that
we could be seeing more and morethy topics come are away.
I'm as linip it in the button. Get it out
there right now. Well, here's a here's something that everybody
can have a comment. It's called we're partying shots. All right, petman,

(01:13:22):
you got one, give it to me.

Speaker 7 (01:13:25):
New York Yankees won four to three against the Kansas
City Royals today they sweep the series. And during that
game they predicted that the New York Yankees will win
the division. It's still early, so let's have just that's
my party.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Shot, Brian Pettick, give me a party shot. Please.

Speaker 5 (01:13:43):
My party shot is the Cubs lose again. That No,
that's not really my That was just a highlighter of
my day. The Cubs do lose, and that's how it
kind of sad.

Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Yeah, I hope you have better days than that if
you're gonna go out there and have a parting shot
on the Cobbs. But all right, we'll leave it at that,
all right, George Korne, what's your parting shot.

Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
My parting shot is we're wondering what's happening to an
All Star in Detroit as Riley Green has all of
a sudden gone into the ditch. He's trying as straight
and as act out a little bit, but so far
the Tigers are getting by without him. But it would
be nice to see if Riley can turn this thing
around and not face the prospect, however small, that he

(01:14:34):
would have to go to Toledo to work things out,
doesn't seem to be a problem right now with him
staying in the lineup, But oil boy, he just can't
buy any luck. He's striking out too many times. And
Riley Green, wake up, man, You're an All Star and
you were proud of it a year ago. You can
do it again.

Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
Fella. Okay, Jacob, all right.

Speaker 6 (01:14:55):
I got a little bit here, just a little different tonight.
I'm gonna say something like this. The Nick Cohn, the
president of WWE, which with Ori Emmanuel, the CEO of WWE,
they were on a They're on a podcast, and Nick
Kahn was bringing up that they are an underdog, you know,

(01:15:16):
around the entertainment world, and of course the wrestling fans
laugh because WWE is huge with wrestling. We've known this
for forty five fifty years. Wrestling they're huge. But I
got to give a little understand give people a little
understanding of what he meant. This is not a wrestling company.

(01:15:36):
It's an entertainment company. Their competition is not all of
the independence in an ae W you see f TNT
or whatever. It's not their competition. They're killing them. Their
competition is Disney. Their competition's Netflix. The competition's Hulu, competition
is any of the streaming networks, the Disney. The market

(01:15:58):
capitalization of Netflix four hundred and eleven point three four billion.
The amount of the amount of money the amount of
revenue made from Disney last year's ninety one billion. The
market the capitalization of ww's about one point three billion.

(01:16:18):
That's huge for us as fans. But they are seriously
an underdog because they're in the entertainment world. Because here's
the thing. WW is not just an entertainment company. It's
also a licensing company. It's like Sam McDonald's is not
a hamburger company. It's a real estate company, which is
both true. Realize this whole thing is you're looking at

(01:16:44):
your little zum. You're looking at your little let's see
one track mind, the wrestling, the whole thing, which is
the biggest. But realize that they have put on cartoons,
and they have put on the Don dolls, and they've
done merchant, they've done everything last forty five years, all
that kind of stuff. That's an entertainment company, and they

(01:17:08):
are an absolute unbe especially with Netflix and Disney and
all of them. They are an underdog. Make no mistake.
Time to get out of your one track mind.

Speaker 1 (01:17:18):
Great, great, I enjoyed doing Jacob really get Kna your
hearting shot.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Please kudos to the Milwaukee Brewers, not for not for
the game today, but I don't know if any of
you saw who threw out the first pitch today at
the Brewers' game, Edward and I'm gonna storry, I'm gonna massacre.
His last name Mikelevich. He's a one hundred and five

(01:17:46):
year old World War Two veteran, the second oldest survivor
of Pearl Harbor throughout the ceremonial first pitch today at
the game, So kudos for recognizing his years of service
one hundred and five. Holy smokes, I can't imagine being

(01:18:06):
that old, I can I bring it on.

Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
Listen. My goal was to kit to sixty five. All
one hundred and five old, can't. I'm glad you brought
that up because I'm gonna I'm gonna mention something that's
a rest in peace pretty similar to yours. Rest in peace.
Bond b Drake one hundred and six was the oldest
survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack and he hailed from Kentucky.
So our Pearl Harbor heroes are no longer with us,

(01:18:35):
but I'm glad on this particular show that Candy brought
her us up with the version. I saw that opening ceremony,
it was really good. And then when I saw ron
he Drake hop into my headlines, I feel he was
the oldest known living survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack
who also put them both together, and we were able
to cap it off with a Pearl Harbor thing as well.

(01:18:57):
And also just a little ironic thing my mom was
weren't on the bombing of Pearl Harbord in nineteen forty one,
so that was a shot heard around the family. Leave
it at that rest and peace, mom, But I had
no choice but to go out there and attack. Nevertheless,
So there you go. That does it for this edition
of the Sports Exchange. But we are not done. Everybody
has an opportunity to go out there. Everybody, they get

(01:19:18):
all of those Candy will wrap it up with ay
with our stuff as well. All right, pend they get
ahold of my friend.

Speaker 7 (01:19:25):
You can find me here Wednesdays and Thursdays, sometimes Tuesday
if I get drafted, and you can find me on
YouTube on Pensman Sports. You can find me on Exit
Pensman Sports, and you can find me on Twitch because
of Brian Pettitt down there. You can find me at
Pensman Sports O seven at Twitch.

Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
Okay, well, Brian Petty, you segued in them. Now you
go next, Brian there.

Speaker 5 (01:19:52):
You can find me on these uh tiger strikes meeting
on these platforms, honesty, YouTube, Gig, Twitch and also Spotify.

Speaker 6 (01:20:03):
So if you kick hard enough, you get a Twitch.

Speaker 1 (01:20:05):
Yeah. Thanks. If I can't card enough, I get a
cramp and I go to a banana. But all right, Jacob, everybody, Toddy, Yeah, I'm.

Speaker 6 (01:20:19):
Here on Wednesdays, and then I'm here on Wednesdays and
every once in a blue mood, I'll do guest spots
and specific shows and stuff like that. And I'm sli
building my way back, and I'm on I do here
and there. I'll do some acting gigs. I'll let everybody
know when I have the opportunities.

Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
We love having you on Wednesday night Sports Exchange. We
custom make this so Jacob with the pund excitement. I'm
always looking for different suffing and I saw the prices right.
This was an easy one to incorporate. All right, George,
go ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:20:51):
All right. You can find me at the Salt Florida Tribune.
I'm one of the contributing writers there, along with Scott
and Candy and any many of our talk show hosts here.
And yes, if you follow me on that the column,
you'll see at the end of the column there's a
link to this book right here that Candy has put

(01:21:12):
up the cover of it, Detroit Sports Broadcasters on the Air.
It's a diary of all the did great Detroit sports
broadcasting ledges. And we say farewell to another one. Only
seventy three years old. Larry Henry died longtime WWJ w
JR University of Michigan, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Lions, the Great

(01:21:32):
Detroit Grant Free. He did a lot. Larry Henry rest
in peace, my friend, and you can also follow me
on ex Twitter which is sang Sports ninety nine. I'm
on LinkedIn under my name George I. Corn and on
Yahoo at g I Corn at yahoo dot com and
looking forward to all the great shows, including the show
tomorrow night with Scott and the Can and the Gang

(01:21:52):
for the Hockey Show.

Speaker 1 (01:21:54):
It's a good show. It's one Sheldon really delighted with
the progress. I can see a lot of upside doing it.
Certainly that I had to go ahead rebrand during the
middle of the year. It wasn't bad before. My goal
was to find somebody that I thought knew the game better.
Have very delayed with the results. It's not easy sometimes
guys and gal to rebrand a show in the middle
of the year, but sometimes change is necessary in order

(01:22:15):
to get the message that you want sent through it.
So we think the previous individual that was part of it,
but we're thankful for Mike Santoso has done a really
good job with it. At the moment, Candy go ahead
and take us home.

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
So I do want to just update any of you
NBA fans. The play in tournament is tonight. Miami Heat
did defeat defeat take down Chicago Bulls one on nine
to ninety and the Mavericks and Kings are on right
now and they are tied. So with that being said,
the South Florida Tribune Publishing Company published a book, Lessons

(01:22:51):
from the Microphone, Tuning into the Enduring Wisdom of Visionary Leaders.
It is written by our host, Scott the Motor City
Madmouth morgan Off. The forward is written by his longtime
friend George Iicorn talks about Scott's forty plus years in
the industry and how it has changed. It's a great

(01:23:14):
tool for anybody that's looking to get into the business.
Go grab your copy today Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kindle, Google,
on Apple Books. There's also on link on our website
www dot South Florida Tribune dot com, where there is
a plethora of great content. Both Scott writes, Jacob did
at one point, Pensman did, George did, and I supply

(01:23:39):
some pictures. So go check it out. If you like
to listen to podcasts, you can find us wherever you
get your podcast. Monday nights, Baseball Nights, Tuesday nights Football,
Wednesday nights you just never know. Thursday Nights is Hockey Night,
and then on Fire Up, you just never know what
we're going to be talking about. The other thing is
is go check out our website. We have such a

(01:24:00):
vast array of different videos on our YouTube channel. From
Scott does a MotorCity Mad Mo show where if you're
an NHL fan and you know that Kenny Albert will
now be the voice or on air for the Rangers,
Scott interviewed him. It's on our channel. Scott's interviewed an actress,

(01:24:21):
It's on our channel. Go check it out. Scott's Don
Scott did with Kevin Rand who was a longtime Detroit
Tigers trainer. So go listen to the trainer. We recently
were at the spring game. He's got Mario Christoble on there.
He's got some other players on there. He's got cam Ward.
So if you're getting in tune for the draft and

(01:24:42):
you want to listen to what cam Ward said after
some of his games, go check out our YouTube channel.
If you want to advertise or sponsor a show, call
Scott nine three oh four nine three zero four four
nine four one. If you want to be a guest
on the show or have topic ideas, you can always

(01:25:03):
email us at self floord A Tribune at gmail dot com. Okay, Scott,
back to you.

Speaker 1 (01:25:10):
Well done everybody. Jb Ellis got your good stuff on.
But I told jv Ellis on shows that he can't
come on. We're going to do some on the topics
in advance. He'll send us his responses. What that does
in retrospect is it opens up opportunities for Brian Pettitt
to come on and fill in. So, Brian, there's a
pretty good chance, if I think the numbers turn out
as well as I think they are, you might be

(01:25:31):
the fill in for jv Ellis on nights when he's
not here. Dav obviously has first days, but we'll incorporate
his comments and I thought it worked out quite well
tonight having his comments and having you, Brian, get your
first days of a show that you'll be able to
talk about pretty much anything out there. And of course
now you met Jacob Christopher as well, who.

Speaker 5 (01:25:50):
I got an announcement to make. Yeah, go ahead, Me
and Pensman are going to do a Monck draft Saturday,
maybe hoping so. We will doing a mock draft on
YouTube and probably Twitch. So if y'all want to come
in there. We're just gonna do a mock draft. It's
just gonna be no trades. We're just gonna go straight
through the draft, picker players, and then it's gonna be

(01:26:12):
a lot of fun. I've already got my mock draft
already done, but I told them I did that yesterday
just for the fun of it. So I have mock
draft oh one, but we're gonna put together ours just
for the heck of it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:25):
Yeah. See, I have a mock draft that's always been
out there, mock draft zero zero zero.

Speaker 6 (01:26:30):
Hey, hey Brian, Yes, hey, Brian, I see you went
from six to fifth on the thing right there, so
you're like Billy Donovan solely moving up.

Speaker 1 (01:26:38):
Yeah, there you go. Yeah, so my minck draft is
zero zero zero. You know what, I no disrespect that.
I think the mockcrafts are good for a guessing game,
to keep the intrigued going. It's just like fantasy football
does during the regular season. Really, my brother line keeps saying,
whyn't you have those things with this other stuff. But
I appreciate it. Hey, they're popular for a period of time,
But to me, I look at it this way. I

(01:27:02):
like the real thing. So it's either Coca Cola or
the generic brand over at the grocery store. So I'm
nothing against the mock. Traffler gave me the real thing,
and that's good enough. I was never a big fantasy guy,
but you know what, I enjoyed it. I played it,
and and I won.

Speaker 4 (01:27:20):
Edit.

Speaker 1 (01:27:20):
I just knew a lot more people now. I will
have to make a confession on this show tonight. One
of the reasons I got out of my family fantasy
football league is my youngest sister in law was beating
the daylights on of me. Because a person that is
clueless and doesn't know a darn thing about football, she
had a couple of lucky players and they were beating
the daylights out of me. I know more about the

(01:27:41):
sport than this woman wool and five million lifetimes, and
I still got my tail kick once in a while.

Speaker 6 (01:27:49):
She thought they were cute.

Speaker 5 (01:27:50):
Hey, Jacob and Scott.

Speaker 1 (01:27:52):
She got.

Speaker 5 (01:27:54):
By the way, I'm the two time fantasy league championship
championship at the work or where I work at. So
I'm just two time defending champion of the fantasy league
in college.

Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Well, Brian, I'm issuing the challenge for you right now
in front of a live audience, I'm wishing you to
take your championship status on your well, no, I know
how you would say it. I'm giving you a challenge tonight, Brian, okay,
to take your championship status on Fantasy mock drafts and

(01:28:30):
go out there and build your following on Twitter slash x.
And if you can do that and you can oppress
me doing that, then we have another conversation for another time.
You can always text me anytime you need some pointers. Nonetheless,
I love having Brian on the character and Pedman is Pendsman. Okay,
he's at the stadium that you know. At least he
gives us a sports background and that's suitabowl for what

(01:28:50):
we like to do. And everybody out here is a good,
great contribute. That's why we have them on give their
piece on the air. So if that's said, I want
to take everybody for joining us tonight, jvl us on
the road, drive States to New York City to be
with your mom and everybody else to join us once again. Pasman, Candy, George,
Bryan and Jacob is always low having you on Wednesday
night and we try to keep it real for you,
my friend, and we'll do it again next one night

(01:29:13):
on the Sports Change. So I mean half of this
group my name is Scott Morgan Rath and moder City
man Mouth who will attempt to shut it down after
the show, and Candy will take care of the rest
of the old technical stuff. Proud of her. She's a
master of all trades. Don't kid yourself well.

Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
And one last thing, we do want to thank everybody
that commented in the chat room tonight. It was good conversation,
so thank you to all everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:29:37):
And Joshua Door uh uh, you know, helped us stock
that his draft stock a little bit since we're talking
about the draft. Okay, but don't get but when you're
just listening to the saying here, don't get. Don't let
that get to your head, Joshua Door, because I don't
like to go out there and say anything searching for miracles,
because I don't expect miracles out here. I expect everybody

(01:29:57):
to perform at the level that you had on tonight
on the Chatrooman you were really great, as well as
Robert Artell and Cyberuski and everybody that took the time
to join us tonight. And we appreciate the audience that's
been watching us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and wherever we
put these things up and our YouTube channel. So on.
Behalf of this group. We'll see you next Wenesday night.
Enjoy it, Appreciate you. We'll have more meche for us

(01:30:20):
to feed off of next week. Got everybody all right,
