Speaker 1 (00:22):
Good me. Anybody, welcome to another edition of the Sports Exchange.
My name is Scott Morgan Roth Motor City, man Mouth.
Have a voted crewed right and a really good one,
I might say, And the title says it all. Will
Aaron Rodgers be Mike Tomon security blanket?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Let me go ahead and introduce the crew real quickly.
George Acorn, welcome.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Back, good you being here, Scott, Thanks.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Candy a blank Thank you, Scott, Willie ep Dan my grandson.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Hello, Hello, Hello, thank you guys so much for having
me again. I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Hello hello, hello all right, well we appreciate you too.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Jacob Christener, I mean I Tom was one of my
favorites to be a good little deal, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah. Sure? Well, and last but not least, Taylor Phillips.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
Get ready to unleash hell.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
You know, and you're going on the country club tomorrow.
Good thing. So Aaron Rodgers is a Pittsburgh Steeler and
Paul actually dolphin the other day with DK Metcalf. So
what are your thoughts, Willy about Aaron Rodgers going to
steel Town?

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Are you serious right now? No?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
You want me to wear that hat?

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Really?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Seriously?

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Really, man, Look, when is the last time Aaron Rodgers
won a playoff game?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Not in a few years?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Not?

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Everybody answer once? I want to say two thousand and sixteen? Serious,
is that right? Twenty sixteen? I think I heard that somewhere.
So what about Aaron Rodgers in the last ten seasons

(02:04):
that has happened that is gonna make us believe that
he's gonna all of a sudden turn around for the
Pittsburgh Steelers. So good for him that he's there, He
gets to play another year, he gets an opportunity to
earn another nineteen million dollars with incentives. Right, But is

(02:24):
it gonna make a difference in terms of the Steelers
getting getting either any further in the playoffs than they have?
I don't think so. I mean, he sucks in the postseason.
That's my opinion. That's actually a fact.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Well. The one thing about this is this is really
is not fake news. Because hey, Joshua George, just so
I know you tend to get confused on me, this
is a sports exchange. The one year looking for tomorrow
hockey is sports raft. Even though you know you'll be
tied up with your hockey game, will leave it at that. Okay, Jacob,
with your thoughts about Rogers going to.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I say this, Willie tom was one of my favorite coaches,
and it's just because of it's a psychological thing he
does with certain players and being able to and the
ability to continue to win some games even though you've
got Duck Donnie see dut Hodges, you get Mason Rudolph,
you get you know, and it's like a zillion different

(03:27):
type of a zillion different type of quarterbacks. You know,
fourth strings the guys and they still two and two
with before the starter gets back. I mean, he just
knows a way to psychologically get in their head to
keep winning, you know, like regular season games now not
doing it in the playoffs. But here's the thing. He
has said himself he's getting close to regularly to retirements.

(03:50):
I've heard this from him, and it's like he's been
coaching he was thirty four years old. He said he's
getting closer than not. Something is telling me that. And
you got to realize they didn't even go after Kirk Cousins,
who would want to start right and he's not much
on the thing. Something is telling me, guess what, this
is not a move you get for a super Bowl

(04:13):
at all.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
I mean, you got you got.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
One guy who is and they haven't been there since
sixteen to the won a playoff game, and they haven't
and neither has Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
So this isn't a move what they're looking at what
he is.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Trying to do considering the issue with the issue with
the Bengals right now, the issues of Bengals. They're gonna lose,
probably lose Trey Hendrickson because he's cheap and they spent
all that money, and then they're going to and then
they're having all kinds of.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
Issues with a guard and they're having an issue with
all that.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
They're gonna have an even worse defense and the Browns
of the Browns. So something tells me that he's making
this move to have them to have his possibility and
this is what his move is. I have a thought process.
I have a possibility of getting a home game when
because of Chris bo Boswell, you know, win the end,

(05:07):
get but absolutely stomped by Kansas City the next week,
but they can say they won a playoff game.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
I'm just I'm just I'm not.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Saying you're you're right, what Willie, You're right I'm not
saying it's gonna happen. I'm saying that's exactly how his
thought process is. Because they don't have anything to go to,
a super Bowl, to go along, to go anything.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
That's the thought process. If they would have hypothetically had
the thought process.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
And it would work out and they win that quote
unquote home playoff game, they would do that, then they
could build on something else and go use Will Howard
or any of their thought processes. That's what their thing is.
But if it doesn't work and you have wasted it
with an old guy, You've wasted a season with your

(05:50):
draft pick, You've wasted all of this kind of stuff,
and you probably don't have a chance to get it back.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
So it's kind of a risk.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
In the middle of this, I can't go back to
Jade wants and then will he can respond. I love
his comments. Go ahead, who wants to read this one?

Speaker 4 (06:05):
So, ladies and gentleman, Aaron Rodgers can't be a securely blanket.
He's old enough to have a favorite blanket and a
spot on the couch.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Okay, go ahead, now you want to respond to that.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I'm not denying what you're saying. Willie and you're laughing.
I'm not denying that at all. The fact, I think
you're right. I'm saying this is what the plan I
think is for tom Win to try to just get
a playoff win.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Yeah, and I didn't take it as you were, you know,
anything that was disagreeing or anything like that. I actually
just had a question because for them to win a
home playoff game, that means they have to win the division.
So are we thinking that they're going to win the
division over Cincinnati and over.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Cincinnati screwed the way that they're doing their defense, their
screwed the mess and all this go with Baltimore. Really,
they had a two game lead on Baltimore last year
before they bomb.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
So there's a you can never tell the possibilities of
the thing.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
I mean, they bomb because they're quarterbacks again, So they're
hoping that Aaron Rodgers, if you just use it. Remember
they're gonna have Caleb Johnson and and the other I
forget they are the running back. But they're gonna they're
gonna have a run war. Yeah, Jaleen Warren, thank you.
They're gonna have their run game. They're gonna have all
this stuff, I mean all and I think they're gonna

(07:23):
win ten again. It's like, it's just because the guy
wins ten games with two two of the games being
Duck Hodges.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
He just does.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
He is psychologically good enough to do that. I don't
think he's an next as an Ose guy, but I
love how he does. But that's just the same.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Fair enough, Taylor.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
You know, Aaron Rodgers has been really struggling to win
a playoff game, and now he's old and washed up.
I'm hoping to God that this is this is his
last year in the NFL because he has washed up.
Like I just said, he he's like over forty years old. Wow,
forty one. Yep, there you go. So the steel after that,

(08:08):
the Steelers have to move on from Mike Donald because
he is an over loyal, walking cliche machine. The standard
is the standard, Okay, Candy.

Speaker 7 (08:21):
I think they brought Aaron Rodgers in one makes big
name MVP quarterback. Granted he is in the decline of
his years. I get that, but I think the Steelers
also look and say, how many quarterbacks have we had

(08:42):
since Ben Roethlisberger? What has been the success in green Bay?
The success in Green Bay is to draft a quarterback
and sit them behind somebody. Now, what I've heard is
that Aaron Rodgers has actually taken to will Howard and
is mentoring him. Now, we'll that remains to be seen.
But is this a way for the Steelers to try

(09:06):
and get their next quarterback up to par without throwing
him into the wolves Like some of these teams are
drafting quarterbacks and throwing them in right away, and it's
too early. They don't know the speed of the game,
they don't know all of any of that. And their
option was Mason Rudolph or Aaron And I think, honestly,

(09:29):
I think they knew that Aaron was gonna come. I
think Aaron just didn't come. Now, if you've heard, we've
heard that he's now married. He's been married a couple
of months. He had personal things that he was going through,
and maybe all of that led up to the timing
of his signing, and the Steelers probably knew that.

Speaker 6 (09:50):
I think I've read that he's spiritually married to himself.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I don't know. I still have to be conscious of
something that very very important. I need to make sure
Willie Epting is in on every subject today. So I'm
gonna do everything I can for mister Willy to keep
my comments as concise as possible to make sure Willie
is the man, Okay, And that's not easy for me

(10:15):
to do, but I will only do it for Willie.
And I know he's laughing at me because we've known
each other for a long time because he knows that
is a major league challenge for me, right well, but
I will try.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
I plead the fifth.

Speaker 7 (10:28):
So before before I turn it over to George, I
just want to say there is no NFL quarterback that
has ever lost to all thirty two franchises, and there
are only four that have beaten all thirty two, and
that would be Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Brett Farr, and
Drew Brees. Now, ironically, the Steelers do play the Packers,

(10:52):
and that is the only team that Aaron Rodgers has
not beat yet, so he could add himself to this list. Ironically,
the Steelers also play the Jets, who we used to
play for, and the NFC North, and they play all
of those old division rivals that Aaron might want to
get revenge against.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
And Willie, you don't have to plead the fifth because
sometimes body language says it all when you're laughing at me,
and you know you're right, that I'm right, then I'm going.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
To try to keep it concise.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
But that's that's why I love working with you, because
you're the only person, the person that would call me
scooter and I haven't heard that name since I was
seven years old playing hockey.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Well, sometimes the loudest things we can say contain absolutely
no words.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
So that I say a lot of a lot of
things that contain no words. Kidding with you, Willie, not
just not just I'm kidding with you. You know I
am right. And as far as Patrick Hughes's comments are concerned,
they should pick up Amari Cooper. That would be a
good move.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
The cow Oh to Steelers, Oh, he's out.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
There, He's available like a tank bull.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
All right, go ahead. We gotta leave it to Georgia.
And I only have one sentence to say on this
one sentence.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Well, he last won a playoff game in twenty twenty
when it was with Green Bay. Okay, all right, so
he hasn't had a winning season. I'm not counting that
Jets season of twenty twenty three where he actually was
one to Oh, I'm not counting that. You have to
go back to twenty twenty one. He was thirteen and
three from the Packers. So does he have something left
in the tank? Yes, he does, he does. They're two

(12:37):
run dependent in Pittsburgh. They need more passing, they need
more ground, you know, a complimentary to the ground game.
And I don't know. I don't think it was too
bad of a little bit of a risk, but maybe
not too bad of a risk if you're a Tomlinson
in the Steelers. They've always gone for big name quarterbacks

(12:58):
over the years. We know that of Bradshaw and Roethlis
Further come to mind. But I really think that I
agree with was it you Taylor had said this is
probably his last year. I really think it's probably true.
But but if he wents thirteen games and stays healthy,
but that's probably not going to happen, he could come
back again. But it's worth a chance. It's worth a

(13:20):
chance for the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
All right, on national broadcast, I'm gonna say my one sentence.
He was not going out on a bad note with
the New York Jets, So he's going back to the
Pittsburgh Steelers to try to leave his career on the
best note possible. Period.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Everybody agreed, agreed.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, you want to sit here and leave as a
Jet when things worked out last year, at least a
gold aut like Tomlin and try to salvage somebody your
career and that's it.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
I'm done when Patrick cues right for over three thousand
yards with the Jets last.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Year, so what did he have? Twenty eight touchdowns and
eleven interceptions at Paul Boston? Really, seriously, really, I would
wait for you to shoo this like going, come on,
We're moving to next upday. Don't look at no research anymore.
You're done with this topic, all right, all right, now
the Connecticut son are exporting a sale and franchise and relocation.

(14:22):
I think the best bet Boston. I think a friend
of a friend of mine, Dominica Maury. I don't know
if you've ever met him, Willie, but he actually writes
of the Heartford Current. I met him through another organization,
and so during the women's final four told me that
Boston looks like the most likely place if it would
make sense, right, you ended up seeing, you know, the

(14:43):
Boston Brewin played games in Hartford, and Hartford seems to
lose teams anyway, So I don't know. I think that
the Connecticut Center headed to Boston. What do you think, Willie?

Speaker 4 (14:58):
How about the already played it? How thought they already
played in Boston? To be honest with you, I mean,
what are they playing in stores?

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Is that right?

Speaker 4 (15:05):
They're playing in stores?

Speaker 1 (15:06):
I think they're playing the Mohegan Sun.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Oh okay, Well be that as it may. I'm pretty
sure Boston would welcome them. Boston is a major media market.
Boston is a lot of times considered by many people
as to be title town because of the Patriots and
the Bruins, and even the Celtics last year, and even

(15:31):
the rest Sox to a degree. So I'm pretty sure
that the that the city of Boston would be a
win win situation for them because of the market, just
because of the market itself, precisely.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I would give an absolute prediction to this if it's Boston.
If it's Boston and they open that up, I am
gonna predict and probably guarantee that their first person they
tried to go after, the first girl, is gonna try
to go after his kkin cart, because that would be
their larry bird.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
That will be that will be their verry bird, and.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
They will try to go and I mean, especially the
phil stands and the type of game that she plays
is so much like it, and it just be like
and I mean, it'd just be a marketing machine just
to be able to put something like this, and it's like,
I could absolutely see it.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Okay, Taylor.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Connecticut Sun.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (16:32):
Yeah, they they they could. Man, that's they're looking. They're
looking to be sold.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Huh wow.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Geez well, all I can all I can say is
I wish them good luck.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Fair enough. Don't you need to go no more? That's
all right. You gave me your best shot. I have
no problem with that. Again, it's something I want to
talk about the w NBA because somebody in that area
right or told me about it. He's only to talk.
And then all of a sudden I get this as say,
this guy is right, and he's actually gonna be writing
a book on Jim Calhoun. And I'm hoping he gets
Jimmy on at some point down the road. Andy some

(17:11):
thoughts about this.

Speaker 7 (17:12):
On August twentieth, twenty twenty four, the Connecticut Son and
the Los Angeles Sparks played the first ever women's game
basketball game at TD Garden in Boston. It was a
sold out affair. We don't have any media superstars, and
we're still able to gardner that kind of attention in Boston. So, yes,

(17:33):
is Boston the front runner? Yes, they're the first front runner.
The second would be Philadelphia, and the third is Denver.

Speaker 8 (17:41):
Interesting cities, George, No, the third is Detroit, not Denver.
I'll go with the other d But Boston is going
to get it, no question about it. Hey, you know,
I don't blame the WNBA for going into Connecticut.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Okay, yukhon dominated and continue to dominate women's basketball. So
the move to Connecticut was a brilliant move back by
the WNBA when they made it. But now they's see
the light and you really got to go to a
big city. And Boston's got great basketball fans as we
all know.

Speaker 8 (18:16):
So I would definitely think that that should be a
good positive move for if the Connecticut son indeed are
closing up shop.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Okay, well, Boston, I think we all agree on that
all right. Now on or non sports topics tonight, I
promised last week I go over something about Robin Williams,
and I'm gonna do exactly that. Robin Williams asked for
duncon to hire at least ten homeless people in all
of his films, helping over fifteen hundred throughout his career,

(18:47):
and had a unique clause in his contract. Unbelievable And
that you talk about a guy who's legendary wants to
help homeless people. That's just too unbelievable. Just again, I'd
like to mention, here's another good one down want people,
Another good Field story. Iowa man passes away and uses
life shaving. He's just sent thirty three strangers to college.
He spent sixty seven years working as a carpenter at

(19:10):
the same company, was never married, no children, and lived
a monest life. How about those two for feel good story? Well,
what do you think about those?

Speaker 4 (19:20):
I mean Robin Williams, especially with the way that he
passed away and depression in the mental health issues that
I'm very, very fond and am an advocate for. This
just goes to show you that you never know what
a person is dealing with. And I had a conversation

(19:45):
with my physical therapist about this same subject because we
were talking about Robin Williams and somebody mentioned, oh my gosh,
what's his name, Anchorman will Ferrell. Somebody mentioned Will Ferrell
in the fact that he was he acts or he
portrays or he has the same sort of personality as

(20:08):
Robin Williams. And the fact that he's always on but
you don't know what he's silently dealing with. And for
for Robin Williams to be silently dealing with whatever it
was he was dealing with and deal to still have
the mindset to do what he did nothing short of remarkable, man.
And uh when he when he when he passed, you know,

(20:30):
we lost the we lost a great ones.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Well, this fact is another way for all of us
here on a network to honor Robin Williams. Like you see,
we talked about last week and I was determined to
bring it on tonight's show. And I really wanted to
do that, so I I ww a, man, more power
to Jacob say this.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
I said this once I was talking to somebody about
this with Frank Sinatra, you know from the deal I
said it was the same. I'm want to say it
with Robin Williams. There's little rules that a political thing says,
if you commit suicide, you will not go blah blah
blah blah blah. He made it just being exceptionally honest
and I'm just doing it from a human aspect and

(21:14):
everything like that. He made it. The man did so much.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
For people.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
He did so much for people. He did it, and
it's like the.

Speaker 6 (21:25):
Whole idea of what you're supposed to do to go through.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Life and go after the afterlife and everything is the
best thing you can do for people in this world.
He did it. He did it, and I have no
question he made it. And it's all how I'm gonna
say with that. But and in truth, really one of
my favorite movies is Patch Adams, even if the Patch
Adams himself can't stand it, but I love the idea

(21:52):
because the way that Robin Williams could be Patch Adams
is himself. He could have been hive. You believed it,
You completely believed it, that he was helping these people
and you believe this, and it's like, this is the
biggest thing with this is don't do this to try
to get don't ever do We found out after he

(22:14):
died that he did all this. Don't do this to
try to get all the press in the world. Don't
do this saying oh I'm a good guy. Don't don't
do it because the government tells me to don't do that.
Just be Robin, just be him. Here, I am, okay,
here you are. I would do it for it's genuine
and that's the best way. If we could all think

(22:35):
like that, that's the way we go. It's like, let's
not do it because someone tells us or where the
or we have for our people telling us around us
are peers telling us to do it. It's got to
be genuine. There was genuine with him.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
We can commentary chake them, all right, Taylor.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
Robin Williams was a star and a talent, as in
the movie Cinema Industry Missus Doubtfire Flever, the voice of
the Genie in Aladdin. I will always remember him as
that as that voice and character. Now his mental health issues, yeah,

(23:16):
it's it's just another example of why you should talk
to someone professionally.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
And uh.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
But it's it's just tragic that that he passed away
that way. Uh And and that just teaches us all
a lesson, Katie, Go.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Ahead, Taylor.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
He also had Louis Bidi's mentioned he decided to do that.
He got diagnosed with that, which would it would have
ended up. He is a He was a full physical
comedian which would have taken the rest of his body.
So he decided to do it that way. He did
that mental health issues, but it was his career was over.

Speaker 7 (23:54):
True, Jacob, I have heard that he had park he
was diagnosed with Parkinson's.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
It was.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
I mean, anytime you have a neurological disorder, it's tough.
Those are tough. Those are tough things to live with,
and it's tough for you and it's tough for the
family too. Always I would say, reach out, see Kelp.

(24:24):
There are there are lots of ways that you can
get help. There are a lot of support avenues. I
would just encourage everybody to use one of those avenues
because it is tough. And if you think about Robin Williams,
man he touched so many different people with all the
different things that he did, not only the homeless, but

(24:47):
even the movies that I mean in his TV show
like he was on Mork and Mindy, like you just
remember and they always say laughter is the best medicine,
and look at how many times he made you laugh.
Just sad that he was had the mental illness that

(25:07):
he did and that he's no longer with us.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
George, well, yeah, I mean it is sad the way
he died, no question about it. But let's talk about
what Scott said. That he insisted on these people that
also were in need as part of the crew, the
stage crew and jobs. That's outstanding. I never knew that
about that until you mentioned it tonight. That was just

(25:34):
a great way for him to express his love of
his fellow man and woman, and he did it by
having them be part of his movies, which were, as
we all know, superior to so many others. But his
kind of heart, his kindness, that's also sadly missing now
because he helped those individuals out on the movie set

(25:57):
in different roles and minor things that they did, and
I'm sure he constantly compensated them well. But the point
is is that we're going to miss that part of
him too. Maybe hopefully people that know him and work
with him in production companies are doing the same thing
and we just don't know about it.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
So willly a quick question for you only for only
you ever been to La Yes, then you and then
you know where I'm going with this, right, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Keep going.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
I've been to a lot of big cities, but I've
never seen a homeless situation worse than I've seen it
in LA.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Yeah, I don't know. I can tell you West Oakland
is pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Okay, well that's why I was going. So West Oakland's bad,
but you go to LA it's bad. So why did
I bring this topic into play? Because my heart was
in LA and obviously you bringing in West Oakland. And
when you see that he's willing to help these people out,
that puts an excell exclamation point on the topic. Rest
in peace, Robin Williams. That's why I wanted to come

(27:01):
up with and let the audience know that you certainly
had a big, strong heart for the homeless people, and
now we have a hard, big heart too on your
member memory. As long as the other guy, the Iowa man,
let's not lose sight of him. He helped three three
people get to college. How do you want to lose
sight of that situation? But obviously Robin william stood out.
All right, let's go to my town. I'm going to

(27:22):
start off with this real quickly. Florida Atlantic University football
will play the Florida Gators in twenty fifty six and
the University of South Florida and the USF season opener
will take place versus Boise State. What's in your town, Willie?
This row a couple of openers out there for two
schools that have a vessitor so fa, you get Florida

(27:44):
twenty play six to make the money over swamp and
U accepted Boise State. There you go, will You would
talk about your town.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
Well, I'm going to go to the Dallas Cowboys. And
it is never and I mean never too early to
troll the Dallas Cowboys. So apparently dak Prescott in OTAs
went like fourteen out of eighteen with four touchdowns in

(28:15):
OTA's and it's already being uttered around here. The Dallas
Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl. Here we are
in June, and once again the Dallas Cowboys have won
the off season for the I don't know forty eight
consecutive year for being the most talked about team in June.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
That's your town, That's my town.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Okay, I like it, Jacob, your time, Willie to actually
try and try thinking of the fitement that the Bears
are trying to get right now. But it's Caleb Williams.
Even though they're gonna go five to twelve again.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
But still it's but I'm gonna say my time, we're
gonna do Atlanta here.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
And yes, they tried to do with all of these
deals with the Tipodobian fired and everything. Quinn Snyder was
one of those that they tried to be able to
interview and they said no that the Hawks and know also,
so that's all of those that they're gonna keep him
and and we'll just say it also Billy Donovan, they

(29:23):
tried him also. At this point in time, they're gonna
be going after the They're just gonna go after the
next the decks of the last one in the bar
three in the morning.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Okay, Mark Jackson.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Well you know what, well, actually we're gonna talk about
that next week. Okay, sorry, but you know what, I'm
glad you do the teaser out there. Thank you, Willie.
I appreciate it. We can easily spend a fair amount
of time. I may have to reduce topics because Mark
Jackson may be the equivalent to Mark my word. That
was one of the things I was seeing how the
g M T eight, Willie, you don't have to take

(29:57):
the bit that's called great mind stick collect go ahead, all.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Right in my state of Michigan, of course, the Tigers
still seven and a half games up on the Minnesota
Twins in the Ale Centrals, might might be soon to
be seven games back unless the Rangers come back at
Target Field. Right now, they're trying to rally in the
top of the eight, down six to two to the Twins.

(30:22):
But anyway, the Tigers at the best record in Major
League Baseball, they're in a buyer's market. They'll have to
stock up on relievers. The plus they'll have to start
to at a quality starter in replacement of Jackson Joe
who was out for the rest of the season with
Tommy John surgery. And they'll have to add a third

(30:42):
baseman that could help mentor Zach mcinstry who has although
still has already seven triples, but he's he just has
to be smart, a smarter player. Also, the Tigers need
a better clean up here because their offense has had

(31:02):
way too many games where they can't score very many
runs per game. And that and so Scott Harrison, Jack
Greenbrik really have to stock up at the trade deadline.
That's it.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
So obviously I live down here in Florida right now,
and I would be remiss. Josh, I'm gonna give you
your du here. Stanley Cup Finals. The Panthers are playing
hot right now. They took game three, so they are
up two games to one, but they they wouldn't want
it pretty convincingly, although I will admit it definitely lived

(31:41):
up to what people call a hockey game, whereas they
had a fight, like if you haven't seen that third
period and all the fights. At one point, all five
guys on the ice were fighting all five of the
other guys on the ice, so it was a big fight,
but they won six to one. For those of you

(32:01):
that know that, I'm really from originally from Wisconsin, and
so I am a big Packer fan. We did part
ways with Jayra Alexander this week and now we have
forty six million in cap space that we can go
out and do whatever we want with, which is something
that's very unusual because the Packers normally don't have a
lot of that cap space. They have moved bow Melton

(32:26):
from a wide receiver to a cornerback and they're trying
him out there. His brother plays for the Cardinals that
same But I do want to put out there even
though today is Vince Lambardi's birthday. If you guys didn't
know that he was born June eleventh, nineteen thirteen. Of

(32:47):
course he's no longer with us, but happy birthday, Vincelambarti.
They all play for that trophy, so let's say happy
birthday to Vince Lambardi.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Well, if you're going to mention that, I believe yesterday
was late and birthday too, So the rest of peace
and Judy, now that you've brought it up, so she's
nined of COVID nineteen Willie bent the lost from me
and then a hard one to swallow. But and Judy
love you very much. We will now dedicate the show
to you. Okay. So with that said, all right, George
my town.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Well, I'm not gonna mention Tigers because my colleague down there, Taylor,
already talked about them. So the Detroit Grand Prix, which
was held a couple of weeks ago here in Motown
for the second, I'm sorry for the third year downtown
after moving from Belle Isle, which is an island course,
did Great Indy Car as you guys might might or

(33:41):
may not know, assigned a deal with Fox Sports and
the Indy five hundred Detroit Grand Prix. All these races
are now on Fox and the ratings went way up
for Detroit's race, which was on a Sunday starting at
twelve thirty in the afternoon, quite early. But the fact
matter is it's good news for Fox, but it's also
good news for Detroit. The people were coming downtown, The

(34:04):
people were.

Speaker 8 (34:04):
Buying tickets, they were buying food, they were buying souvenirs
and everything else and enjoying the ground pride. And although
Roger Penski's team didn't win, it was a hell of
race and it's.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Another gold star I put next to Detroit and they
did a great job with Detroit Indie Racing League schedule.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Okay, very good. I'm gonna have one to Woolli's my town.
How do you like that graduation to Texas Longhorns or
was that a party shot for you later?

Speaker 4 (34:36):
No, I was actually shocked when I talked about that
on my show last week. I just thought that the
Texas Lady Longhorns had won a championship before, but obviously not.
I mean, all those great Longhorn baseball teams from the past,
ate up, all of that publicity, were all of that,

(34:57):
But yeah, I mean, and for them to do it
the way that they did it, in Norman was tremendous.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Yeah, so congratulation to the Texas lady Longhorns are winning
the softball College Women's World Series. And it's been a
good year for the Longhorns because Candy and I saw
them at the final four out in Tampa. They fell short,
then again to the Connecticut Husky then again with gena
orem out they're going to fall short anyways. Two they
didn't play the long Horns. I don't believe they did,

(35:26):
but that was gino Oriama was on a mission to
get that. Anyways, But the Texas Longhorns women's programs have
been great, you know, the one in obviously basketball, and
then winning the Women's College World Series as a feather
in their cap. So I just wanted to make sure
we brought that up here, as Willy, because that's a
heck of an accomplishment to these young ladies. And since
we've talked about women's sports a lot more between Connecticut

(35:49):
Sun and then so we obviously talked about last week,
I want to spend at least one segment talk about
women's sports every opportunity we get to do it. This
is just another opportunity to do that, all right, One thing.
We're gonna go to a Baseball Factor night. We go
to a station break and then we have a couple
more topics I want to get to. So we're around
a pretty good time projectory baseball facts. On April seventeenth,

(36:11):
nineteen fifty three, Mickey Mantle hits an estimated five hundred
and sixty five but bomb at Griffiths five hundred and
sixty five. Yes, Taylor, I said, five sixty Wow, Tom
in Griffiths stay the longest hover ever at the ballparking.
On that same day, Mickey Mantle makes his debut. What

(36:34):
are you say that one there, Willie? And you know
it's the next one Mickey Mantle. I got a couple
of hydro stoptachues with him flinging the bat in my house,
Nicky Mantle, great stop makes it to the Big Show.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
What do they want Mickey Mantle? I mean the mick
right with it? What was it nineteen what sixty one?
Murderer's Row with him and Roger Maris and the rest. Yeah, yeah,
that that look. Some of those Yankee lineups or some

(37:09):
of the Yankee lineups that they have tried it out
here in recent years. I've actually coined them Murderers Role
Edition whatever that year was. But I never got a
chance to see Mickey Mantle play in person, of course,
so but everything that I've seen on tape and wherever else,
obviously he was one of the greatest. And you know

(37:30):
what I love about Mickey Mantle is that he had
a just a hint of controversy about him. That's funny.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Well, you know what, Willie actually did meet him one
time over at Fort Lauderdale Stadium because the Yankee was
just train over at Fort Lauderdale at Fort Lauderdale State.
He was a nice guy.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Is that worth anything? I don't know. But I got
his statues and they cost me a boatload of money
when I paid for him for some back on the day.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Well, nobody can name drop the way the scooter can
name drop.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
Thank you. I appreciate that. I've got a lost for
words with that one.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
My work.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Well, let me tell you this. It's it's good that
they have murderers rollback because there was a murder of
row in the sixties. You go through the eighties, it
was Mistermeanor's role. It was that and it's and now
you're getting back to the thing again in nineties they
had in again because he had all those World series
in nineties and two thousands from ninety five on, you know,

(38:34):
and then we'll get into it again. And it's like
the biggest deal about it with the Yankees, regardless of anything,
is it is better for baseball in it. I get it,
really is. It gets the attention. There's so many people
that hate the Yankees, you know, as much as you
have everything. So regardless of anything, here's the deal. No

(38:58):
matter what, think about this for a second. When the
Miami Marlin before tomorrow is then and Arizona Diamondbacks won
their world periods against the Yankees, all right, you know,
it's like that's it means more than if they beat
Pittsburgh Pirates. It's just the truth and what we need,

(39:21):
what we need to understand and stuff like this is
there's so many people that have a hate for the
Yankees in have the bitterness way. Well, without him, they
just wouldn't be the second.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
Well, you know, we also need to understand five hundred
and sixty five feet is a long way.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
And you know, one of my favorite mentors, Handelescano, had
a good home run phrase.

Speaker 9 (39:43):
You know, what he said, Where did he hit it?
I mean, I want to ask this, have you ever
heard of mh Have you really how do you know him?

Speaker 4 (39:57):
Didn't pay for the Phillies?

Speaker 1 (39:58):
No, Andelos Scott?

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Oh no, then I don't know, aren't you?

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Yeah? Six, I'm talking about Andrew Lostano. I gotta get
this man a copy of my book. He's in it anyway.
He's one of my mentors. This guy, Oh will he will?
You know where you'll be in the next one? Okay?
And this guy here, I was working with him the
Channel seven and eight over at NBC.

Speaker 5 (40:24):
Where did he hit it?

Speaker 1 (40:27):
That's two that you got tonight? Okay?

Speaker 5 (40:29):
Like way out of the ballpark?

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Yeah? Like five five feet? Okay? Right, who's next you Taylor?

Speaker 3 (40:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (40:38):
Of course. When when you hit a ball like five
hundred and sixty five feet like you mentioned, you know
it's way out of the entire ballpark. Period. Enough said,
But Mickey Mantle has been the master, not just the
luckiest guy on the face of the earth. He was
the master in my eyes even before I was born.

(41:01):
I've looked up his main portion me the matter of
his history, and he's one of the greatest Yankee ball players.
Of all time period.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Good no, okay, well, all right, Candy.

Speaker 7 (41:16):
Mickey was raised by his father to become a baseball
player and was trained early on to become a switch hitter.
He is the only player to hit one hundred and
fifty home runs from each side of the plate. He
hit five hundred and thirty six career home runs while
batting three hundred or more ten times, in his sixteenth

(41:40):
all time in home runs per bat at bat and
seventeenth in on base percentage. He won a Triple Crown
in fifty six. He was an All Star for sixteen seasons,
playing in sixteen of the twenty All Star Games that
he was selected for. He also won Golden Gloves. Obviously,

(42:00):
he appeared in twelve World Series, but he also lived
life hard right for those of you that don't know,
He died from liver cancer brought on by years of
alcohol abuse, and actually his sons died from alcoholism as well,
two of them.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
One of his best friends with Chilly Martin.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
By the way, I have one thing that I wanted
to add on this thing. We talked about five hundred
and sixty five feet for Mickey Mayo. I have something
to be said here you think of how strong that
is that you have to be, and the and there
is no peed to those they at all?

Speaker 6 (42:43):
How country strong were these people?

Speaker 2 (42:45):
I mean, I think about for instance, I'll think about
Jack Nicholas, He's able to hit them in one of
the term as three hundred and sixty five yards off
those't go for Simon and with the clubs that have
no bend. And it's like, and it's just like, I'm
just using that as an example. When you hear Mickey
mantledo in five sixty five, you hear Frank Howard and
all those guys, You're hearing these just like, how naturally

(43:07):
strong were these people? Truthfully? And has the PDEs actually
made us weaker? I have to ask these things because
you don't hear naturally strong people hitting like that anymore
at all. It's like, is it just because we get
so much help with our body that it's gotten weaker?
Because these are just brutally strong people in the past,

(43:33):
all right, George.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Well, Mickey Mantle was one of the greatest, no question
about it. The Tigers said clinched the pennant back in
nineteen sixty eight, and they were playing the Yankees the
next day, terrible crowd. Obviously, everybody was excited that night
with Boyd Detroit, Wan Nicky came to the plate, Denny McClain,
they made it all look like it was all up

(43:56):
and on the up and up. But Denny McClain groved
that ball in there for Mickey to take one final
swing to and I don't remember who he was chasing
in the all time home run list, but McLean grooved
it in there for and manno cleared the elfield wall
at Tiger Stadium different than the one you mentioned, Scott,

(44:19):
but that is remarkable that many times, Oh my god,
that guy would show the power, demonstrate the power hitting
it off the roof in Detroit, or like you said,
the one over five hundred and sixty plus yards, that
incredible distance in strength that that man had. But yeah,
you know it's the fans really turned out to watch

(44:40):
Mickey mannon all around the league in the America ling
and they still are a top draw.

Speaker 8 (44:45):
Of course, the Yankees are so one of the greatest
Janks of all time. Mickey Mann, I love it. Thanks
for bringing him into our discussion tonight, Scott.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
You're very welcome. George. All right, go to a station break.
After we come back from the station break, they have
two more topics. Got pund up on it. Anybody it
has a parting shot, can have it. I don't really
have any answer to what I want to say. Go ahead.
Candy Station.

Speaker 7 (45:06):

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Thank you, Candy. All right, Well, you know I normally
don't bring up politics, but I'm not really bringing up politics.
But Donald Trump wants to stop changing names for teams.
But in my mind, the only two that did make
sense for the Cleveland Indians and the Washington Attempts. I'll
bring him up because he said it. I don't care

(46:35):
how many of us probably think it, but that's the Donald.
Remember he used to own the New Jersey Generals, and
he's the same guy that wanted to compete with the
NFL during the spring. I'm not getting at it. I'm
not going to paper. The only time I understand changing
names in certain are Isla and Tennessee had the Oilers

(46:57):
that they had to go ahead and tanged to the
Titans three.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
I get that.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
I still to this day though, don't understand why the
Washington Redskins had to go away. I love that name.
I don't think it should ever in the Cleveland Indians
there tradition. I'm gonna leave it at that. So forget
about who I mentioned at the beginning with the initials
DC Donald Trump. Okay, although we're not talking Donald Duck.
We're talking Donald Trump. But from when you look at

(47:22):
the overall perspective, Willie, what are your thoughts about teams
changing names? You like it or you don't.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
I don't really have a problem with the Indians or
the Riskins or the Seminoles or you know, the black
Hawks or whoever else. Well, I take what I do
have a problem with. I have a problem with teams

(47:51):
that are named after the state they play in instead
of the city. I do have a problem with that. Okay,
that's my that's my piece, and I'm sticking to it.

Speaker 10 (48:03):
No problem, Okay, I've said my piece. You can say
you're a jacob o. The Redskins did not need to leave.
Redskins is often name and.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
It needs to come back. But the main thing about
the Redskins and probably the Indians also is now they
probably have to talk to the USPTO because the main
thing is when the you know, Patt and Trademark Office.
The one thing is when the Redskins left, they literally
made a rule at the time staying you can't make
money off of this name. They did never talk about

(48:33):
this with high school. They were talking about with everybody,
so they took it away from everyone. Now with the
new person in office, that could easily change, but they
had before you could even get the Redskins name back.
You got to remember, you gotta remember by itself. Magic
Johnson is part owner with the the Commanders right now, Commanders,

(48:54):
and he is always looking to have money. So I
don't think he's gonna stop the name. Oh he's going
to stop the name of the Redskins coming back. I
think he would stop it if they would say you
can't make any money off of it, you know, as
you know as far as those So I think that's
the biggest thing is they just have to talk. They
just have to make a deal with the Patent Trademark

(49:14):
Office and be able to get it back. And but
the one biggest thing about it is are we going
to go through this garbage again? If they changed the
party and all this kind of stuff like that. It's
just it's an annoyance. Someone there's gonna be someone in office,
doesn't matter what party there is. That just stops the lunas. See,

(49:35):
just get back to the normal and the everything and
just quit try and control everybody.

Speaker 5 (49:42):
M Taylor, none of this name changing bothers me whatsoever. Indians, Guardians, Redskins, Commanders,
it doesn't really matter, Oka Candy.

Speaker 7 (49:58):
I always thought that a mascot was something that you
kind of valued. You look, I mean, not noting that
you looked up to it, but like it was in
a different You're even if you're playing somebody that has
a name that it's not derogatory. I mean, you're you're

(50:19):
cheering for them, You're you're always trying to lift them up. Now,
I'll be honest with you, Uh. I am an Indian.
I actually lived when I grew up, I lived in
a subdivision that was an Indian. All the names of
the streets were Indians. My team mascot from high school

(50:41):
was the Indians. I see nothing wrong with those types
of names. Do I think they needed to be changed? No,
I don't. But I'm also not an Indian, like I
was never an Indian, and so to walk in their

(51:03):
shoes and to see it from their perspective. I can't
because I you know, I'm I didn't grow up that way.
But I don't think that it's a derogatory thing. So
that's my two sons.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
On on it, Okay, George, Well it bothers me about
it is there seems to be inconsistency. You know, Indianza
is deemed not a good name, you know, Redskins not
a good name. But then we've left other teams with
Indian related names, nicknames, you know, and it just seems like,

(51:43):
you know, they're they're circling certain names that they don't like.
I guess I don't know, Like, well, New York Yankees,
now Yankee was kind of a slur name. You were
calling Americans Yankees Yanks. Nobody ever got upset about that.
I just think that, uh, I wish it could be settled,

(52:04):
but it's never going to be settled. You know, if
one politician likes it in one dozen or one team
and the other one dozen majorly you know, the Commissioner's
office doesn't like it, it's unfortunate. But I see how
sometimes it could get people upset. But they don't mean
any ill will by it. They're just trying to honor,
especially the tribes that sue you know, the tribes that

(52:27):
were so great at Native American tribes. But it's interesting
to talk about though.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
Yeah, okay, well the President talked about it. You'll get
attention for it. And then well, and that's why everybody
looks that way. Everybody likes its crazy because he has
to think about team names instead of what he's doing.
I'll leave it at that period, all right. Under the
Detroit Pistons, let's talk a little bit of basketball. Talk
about Draymond Green on his podcast, Kate Cunningham will bring

(52:58):
a championship to the Detroit Pistons. Do you agree? Will
he that he will bring a championship to the Detroit
Christs Ramond Green?

Speaker 4 (53:08):
I mean, what is Draymond Green?

Speaker 11 (53:10):
Though?

Speaker 4 (53:11):
Seriously no, I mean they very easy. I shouldn't say easily.
They very well could have beaten the Knicks in the
first round of the playoffs. They just didn't get the
right bounces at the right time. And I think there's
a little bit of an experienced factor with that too,
because they hadn't been to the playoffs in what six

(53:32):
years something like that. They've got the pieces in place,
and Kate is a terrific piece to build around championship.
I think it might be a little too soon to
say that, but obviously, who knows.

Speaker 11 (53:49):
Good point, Jacob, it's a not retired, aging aging player
who's had four rings trying to get a fit and
go home and go to Detroit.

Speaker 6 (54:00):
That's exactly what he's that.

Speaker 2 (54:02):
He will bring it, which means he wants to be there.
It's just the truth he wants to he just he's
saying it without sprinklin you know, he's sprinkling the seeds.
But he doesn't want collusion. He doesn't want all that
kind of craft, but does exactly how he's doing it.
He wants to be there so he can be able
to help get.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
Him the title, say sor reality belt. Hey Man Green,
he's a Michigan Minton guy, right, well, yeah, well that's
what I mean. He's a Minton guy. He loves Michigan
and Detroit Pistons, and I can't blame him for one
to see the Pistons went in and they had a
good year. Okay, go ahead, and mister Mann and also

(54:41):
in the chat room, George and Dicky so waiting for
the Chicago Black Hoops in Florida, State s wants to
change the days. Well, I don't think that will ever happen.
I think you're right. Okay, go ahead, Taylor.

Speaker 5 (54:56):
Yep souh Yeah, Draymond Green to the Pistons, if that's
a possibility, that could.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
He don't lose sight of what the topic is. Okay,
we're not saying he's going to. He says he believes
that Kate Cunningham will go ahead and bring him a championship.
That's what the top against Taylor, right right, right.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
While wild Kate Cunningham is a great player, he's also
a turnover machine, of course a lot. I've seen him
turn the ball over several times per game, and that
has to stop. He's got to work on limiting the
turnovers producing them. I'm not seeing the limiting them, but
reducing them. He's got to be smarter with the and

(55:38):
more aggressive with the basketball. Also, he needs to take
it to the rack. And he's like, too swapped. You
got to pass the ball, try to find somebody open.
That's just the way basketball works, fundamental basketball. He's still
gonna learn mm hmm, Candy.

Speaker 7 (55:58):
And what I'm going to say is no one player
can bring the championship to their city. If that were
the case, I would say Giannis would have way more
than one title so far in his career because he
is one of the best NBA players. It takes a team.

(56:20):
It's a team sport, so you need complimentary players to him.
So could he be the catalyst that does that, Yes,
of course, but it takes more than just him. So
just like in Milwaukee, it takes more than just Giannis.

Speaker 3 (56:37):
George Well, I listened to a show a couple of
weeks ago after the Pistons got eliminated. It wasn't on
your network, Scott or Candy, but I thought that it
was pretty astute. And his observation was he did not
see Key Cunningham going and acting like he is the

(56:58):
true leader of the team. In every one of those
playoff games against the Knicks. He did not step up
to the challenge. Okay, so that's one man's opinion. I
see sort of what he said, getting back to what
Taylor said about too many turnovers or you look at
the stats and you see that, you know, a couple
of games, yeah he had twenty or you know, low
twenties or something like that. Kate can carry this team.

(57:21):
He just needs more seasoning and a full complimentary cast.
I think the Piston surprised a lot of people this year,
no question about it. And Draymond Green, you might be
into something, or maybe he's just saying that because he
still loves Michigan, the state of Michigan.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
We know that.

Speaker 3 (57:39):
But I think Draymond Green I carries a little bit
of respect because he is a champion, and whether you
like the guy or you don't, he sees a lot
in Cad Cunningham. So I'm I'm with him in that one.

Speaker 1 (57:51):
All right. I'll leaning with Lilly. I think it's really
a bit premature. But Trajan Langdon has some work to
do this offseason, and JB. Bickerstaff is a heck of
a coach. That's all I'm gonna say. Trajan link didn't
have some work to do. But things are looking good
in Detroit. I'm glad to see that they got in
the playoffs. The Red Wings have some work to do
to get away from that playoffs route. We'll get into
that to night. But I like where the Red Wings are.

(58:13):
We certainly like where the Tigers are an alliance, but
the Pistons, this is a good field, good story, and
I don't blame Draymond dream for a hands optimism. All right,
let's go to pundit fund it real quick and then
any partying shots that apply. And Willy's gonna give his
information out there, and I think we're getting right in
there there, but I'm working on it, Willie. All right,

(58:34):
So pundit fund it, Jacob, what you got? Okay?

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Last night on my TikTok, I did a little deal.
I was basically saying, this is a little message to Rick.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
It there.

Speaker 6 (58:50):
He writes a to tweet or an x or whatever we're.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Gonna call it.

Speaker 4 (58:55):
Right, Twitter is always Twitter, Yeah, Twitter, Yeah, Yeah, there
you go.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Woo.

Speaker 6 (59:01):
I try to be nice to everybody. God only knows.
I spent more money on spilt liquor one year that
people have in a lifetime.

Speaker 2 (59:07):
This guy's out of his mind.

Speaker 6 (59:10):
I tried being nice and miss my last message to everyone.
I got more money than I got time.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
Go after yourself.

Speaker 6 (59:15):
I made three million dollars and at seventy six years old.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
Woo, Okay, you have skin cancer right now, Rick, in
the second time in three years, and who knows which
one finally finishes yet, I know you're a freak of nature.
But but I mean, we know what happens. Sometimes you're due.

(59:43):
But I'm gonna say this. You said you made three
million dollars last year. You probably spent four You always do,
And now you talk about I spent more money on
spilt liquor.

Speaker 6 (59:55):
You're seventy six years old. You need to grow up.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
You have had five marriages, and you refuse to grow up.
You used to go to the Hilton or the Hyatt
or the Saint Regis or somewhere in Tokyo and have
all the greatest things in the world with a four horsemen,
and now you're going to Applebee's yelling at the bartenders.
The whole thing that this started last night is because

(01:00:25):
I said, this is the adult debate of Hulkgan versus
Rick Player, the adult debate, not who's a better wrestler.
All that guff we did ENDWAWW have all this stuff adult?
You know Gray Hairs, the Great Hair version of this.
Hul Cogan is seventy one years old now and has
a second family, a couple of teenagers with it, and

(01:00:46):
he's trying.

Speaker 6 (01:00:48):
He started a beer deal. He started a beer and
started his own beer.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
He's going to have his own bar next to Madison
Square Garden the next three months, and he might buy
the intellectual property of Hooters when it goes bankrupt. This
is the thing I'm saying. We don't know if this
stuff works or not, but this is what I'm saying.
This is what you need to do with money, not
spend it at an Apple Beeves while yelling at bartenders.

Speaker 6 (01:01:16):
This is the thing.

Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
It is time to grow up someday. Because the reason
I'm bringing this up is you talked about spending three money,
and I said you probably spent four. You got three money,
spent four. You've just left your kids with a whole
lot of hell when you do die, a lot of
hell because there's gonna be lawyers. There's gonna be lawsuits.
He no question owes money to people. You're gonna be

(01:01:39):
You're gonna be responsible, and Hulk is gonna leave two
different sets of kids with a lot of money. Now,
I'm just bringing this and I know what you're saying
with that, but there's a difference with acting like an
adult and acting like a child.

Speaker 6 (01:01:55):
You're still a child.

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
Rick.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
It's like you got the biggest thing is the base.
It's too late for you to make piles of money.
Now your at your age and at your health. But
I can say that the best thing you can do
for them is pay your dang debt off and quit
messing around. So you don't leave your kids with crap,
because you're about to leave them with a whole lot
of hell.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
Pretty well done. That's a loaded one there. When you're
saying Willie.

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
Yeah, yeah, I would say I would, I would say,
so maybe he can sell all of those woos and
try to make up some of that debt.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
I don't know, hey, Jacob, I don't know if you
need a party shot. That one was loaded, dude.

Speaker 6 (01:02:40):
That's gonna be the one.

Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
Yes, Yeah, that was a party shot all roller than
the one. Do you have one? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Actually I do. And I know that you know you
brought up the current president, and you know everything that's
going on around the cry with these protests and these
ice aids and everything else or raids that should say aids,
ice raids. I just want to tell everybody out there

(01:03:10):
one simple thing. If you, if we would just look
each other in.

Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
The eye.

Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
And have a conversation, we will find that there are
way more things that we have in common than that
we don't. I can think of five things off the
top of my head that would be a point of
unity for any conversation. Starter. Nobody wants the price of

(01:03:42):
eggs to be eight dollars a cardon. Nobody wants the
price of milk to be five dollars a gallon. Nobody
wants the price of gas to be seven dollars a
gallon in California or Hawaii. Those are three things right
there that we can find a point of unity. And
that's just that's just that part of it. I mean,
there's always food and sports. So that's five things right

(01:04:05):
there off the top of my head that we could
just come together on and realize that politicians have made
billions of dollars by keeping us divided.

Speaker 7 (01:04:17):
Like it.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
So while you have your party, you everybody know how
they can get a hold here.

Speaker 4 (01:04:24):
Let's see Facebook, Facebook, shake Back Media Group, Twitter, shake
Back Media Group, Instagram, shake Back Media Group Twitter, I mean,
I'm sorry, TikTok coach Willie YouTube, the shake Back Media Group.

(01:04:47):
are dropping nuggets every Tuesday about families and blended families

made in these last thirteen years that we have four
teen years that we have been together, and just to
piggyback on something that we said earlier about Robin Williams
and mental health, mental health is definitely real. As somebody

(01:05:11):
that has been diagnosed with one of those dreaded things,
I am an advocate. Our life coaching practice has been
birth because of that, and we are always here to
help anybody that feels like they need help or don't
think they need help, or whatever the case may be.

was It was formed in Hawthorne, California back in nineteen
sixty one. They have over one hundred million records sold
and he was the one that wrote most all of

the songs. So again, whether you liked their music or not,
they transformed what rock was back in the day, So
rest in peace. Brian Wilson now sellf Florida Tribune Publishing
