Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Scorpio Sky and you are listening to the best,
the best, the best sports guys talking wrestling.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
When they're not covering the sports world, they're talking about
the world or professional wrestling.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
It's sports guys talking wrestling.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Now here's Stu Myrick. It is sports guys talking wrestling.
Stu Myrick here. Thank you so much for joining me
on a Wednesday, and we are three days away from
All in Texas, not to mention a busy weekend in

(00:39):
wrestling All in Texas, Ring of Honor, Supercard of Honor,
w W Sareay, knights Man Event Evolution, NXT. It's just
nuts to help me break it all down, joining me
live in studio, longtime radio colleague, Combat Sports export and

(01:00):
all around just decent dude. He is the one, the
only Eddie. How are you?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I'm great and it's always fun to hear that.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I know, I know you love it.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I need to use that to like play myself into
work every day, just get a little hyped up to Sydney.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I've always heard that question, like what would your what
would your walk up music be or your entrance music
be if you you know, just every day live. I
don't know I think. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
I used to say that's too easy.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, I mean I might have to go Metallica. I
might even have you know, let's you just called me saying, man,
I think, yeah, of course, now a blank on the
title of the song.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Well, now there's got to be a song called stew
somewhere song calls a song called.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Stui or anyway, Oh they pray, Yes, And as I's say,
we're going to get into the wrestling and every thing.
But before we get into that, hopefully you know by
now we are of course in central Texas. We're in Austin,

(02:15):
and if you know, as you've heard on the news
on everything, this area was struck with just devastating flooding
rainfall over the fourth of July weekend. It started in
the in the you know, overnight on the you know,

(02:38):
like one a m. On the fourth, and it just
devastated parts of the Hill country. But you know, Kerk County, Kerrville,
even all the way you know, up into Liberty Hill
and even reaching into Travis County where Austin is.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Georgetown.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, we know Georgetown. There's been you know, we have
had I think we've had more rain in this in
that in this week than in like almost like six
eight the last six eight months combined or something like that.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
It's it's just it just won't stop.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
They I think I saw something yesterday that a you know,
cumulative rainfall for Kirk County. One one of the gages
in Kirk County read like twenty two inches. It's just nuts.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Several gages broke, actually, yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Gauges broke.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
At one point, I think of Saturday, I looked at
ATX floods and my my home was surrounded by road closures. Yeah,
like not necessarily right around me, but just like a
couple miles in either direction, just road closures all around.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, there's been, you know, it's as you might imagine.
I think the death toll right now is one. I
think I saw one eighteen, I believe, or something like that. Yeah,
one nineteen. There's the There was that camp Camp Mystic,
twenty seven counselors and campers, mostly children, if not all children,

(04:14):
you know, died some still which yeah, I think I
saw something like sixteen still unaccounted for, you know, and
I and I think of that, you know, being in scouting,
in Boy Scouts Scouting America, having gone to a summer
camp for most of my life. To imagine going to

(04:37):
a summer camp. You're there to have fun, to learn
and everything, and then you know you don't get to
come home. Just you know, it's just it's nuts. It's
I shudder to think about it. And lord, we've had
I've been at camps when we've had weather events, but

(04:59):
nothing like that.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I mean, just and just living in this part of Texas,
you know, things has come out of nowhere. Yeah, but
they're usually over quickly.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, this did not, it is. I mean, we got
rain today, it's still going yeah, yeah, rain today. I
mean they're the forecasters are saying we might get a
break tomorrow and Friday, which you know, especially that area
desperately needs because the you know, the flooding is just

(05:31):
it's unreal. I mean the pictures that you see debris
and you know, demolished cars and you know, whole structures
just floating down the river. Yeah, you know, Gualoupe River
was you know, just raging.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
So and then you look up and the same thing
happened again in New Mexico.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah. Yeah, just it's you know, it's just been it
has been a hard week for a lot of people.
I was watching. I was watching the newscast on or
it was it was the morning on k x A
N and Rich Siegel and freddie Vella, who were the

(06:13):
weathermen on duty at that time. You know, they're trying,
they're you know, they're trying to do their job. And
you and I have been in media. We know we
you know, there's a job to do, and their job
is to you know, forecast the weather and talk about
the weather and talk about what happened. But you could
hear it in their voices. You could see in their
faces the pain of doing that, you know, with the

(06:39):
background of the devastation that has happened in this area
since you know, July fourth, so Unelas say, it is
been it's been a trying several days. It will continue
to be. They were talking about there's one one of
the bridges that he's going it's gonna take months to

(07:01):
to rebuild, you know, you know, so there is now
it's sad that that it you know this, you know
that something like this does this. But to see the
giving spirit of people, you know, it has been incredible

(07:28):
and it's still they're still happening. There's there's charities that
are raising funds Team Ruba KAN, Austin Disaster Relief Network,
Kirk County Flood Relief Funds, Salvation Army, American Red Cross,
you know, and I I you know, implore you if
you can give to those charities to help with the
resources that are needed. There's even been a couple of,

(07:53):
you know, fundraising efforts related to wrestling, for instance, and
we're watching ae W Dynamite, which is in Garland up
at Carl Worll Center. Lance Archer from AEW, good friend
of the show, good friend of mine. He started to
go fund me to raise money for families and really fun.

(08:14):
I think his initial goal was like eighteen hundred dollars
and I think today it's it's, oh, it's almost six
six thousand. Nice, so, you know, and of course he
wants he's thanking everybody. If you want to give to
that go fundme, just search his His social media is

(08:36):
under his legitimate name Lance Hoyt, So just search Lance
Hoyt on whatever social media platform you have and you'll
see the link in his feed for his go fundme.
Bailey from WW she is auctioning off ring gear that
she wore. I believe it was a couple of weeks

(08:57):
ago on raw. She's auctioning that gear off and that's
local she is, and so she's going to auction that
ring gear off. The money will go to, you know,
those that are affected by the flooding. Uh. And then
a lot of the restaurants, like for instance, tomorrow, uh
pe Ter Great Hamburger Stand. You know several locations in Austin. Uh,

(09:19):
they're giving hundred percent of their their profits to flood relieve.
Think Hop is doing the same, Hop dot E is today.
Uh Uh, Kirby Lane is doing it tomorrow. I think
Oring Forks is doing this weekend.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Some yeah, some are doing it like all the weekend.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
There's a Yeah, there is a ton of restaurants that
are I mean, and there are just and you look
across there have been every every sports league, NFL, NBA,
Major League Baseball, NHL, MLS, they're all given you know,
they've got money. In fact, so Austin FC was supposed
to play Saturday night, but because of all the rain

(09:59):
and everything, they canceled or they postponed the match. I
saw Austin f C. Major League Soccer is gonna give
you mentioned Uh. Yeah, the University of Texas, UH, the
NFL joining with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, UH, NBA
with the three Texas teams, the Spurs, the Rockets, and
the Mavericks Major League Baseball Hockey. I just saw something

(10:23):
about the Dallas Stars and the Texas Stars because text
Stars play in suit of Park, which you know, they're
the they're the fleck Better Triple A affiliate of the
Dallas Stars. Yeah, there are a lot of people that
are trying to do some good. You've you've seen the
you know the you've probably seen the post about HIB

(10:44):
which look it's you know you're in Texas, you shop
at HIB and they they are a partner that helps
with all types of test response, whether it's providing water,
providing meals, you name it. So I just wanted to

(11:06):
mention that stuff again. You know, if if you can
give to the charity of your choice or you know,
look up lances go fund me, you can give to
that as well.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
And if you're really lazy, you can just text nine
zero nine ninety nine or text red Cross to nine
zero nine niney nine and that'll trigger a ten dollars
donation builds your cell phone. Yeah, so then you don't
even have to get off the couch.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
There you go. Yeah, you know. So so there's that
and and you know, and for those, you know, those
of you that do keep praying for Texas, keep praying
for Central Texas. It is going to be a long,
long road to recovery.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
But in hurricane season is just starting.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, and the and yeah, we're still in the middle
of hurricane season. So let's hope that, you know, things
don't get too crazy.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
So all right.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
So we've done that, put that together, let's talk about
all in Texas, aw all.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
In Texas, the news for Texas this weekend. This Saturday,
might have to close the roof of Globe Life. I'm
pretty sure the roof is going to be closed three
pm Eastern, two pm Central.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Get it on paper. If you're in the United States,
Prime video is an option. There's other outlets. If you're
outside of the United States, it will come to us
from It will be at Global Life Field in Arlington,
the home of the Texas Rangers. I will be there
discovery of the event. I'm gonna drive up Saturday morning.

(12:39):
I might even catch a little bit of star cast.
See if I see anybody. You're looking at my shirt.
This is the shirt from the very first okay that
I was at in Chicago. Okay, the Holming shirt because
I noticed it was a it was a loot stor. Yes,
that was like, oh, is that the one for Texas early? No,
this was This was twenty eighteen in Chicago. So as

(13:02):
of right now, and I say as of right now,
which is right now is just before seven thirty pm
Central on Wednesday, has just started July ninth, so we
might see, but right now there are eight matches that
are on the card. We will I think Tony Kahn
had a media conference call yesterday. Among the things that

(13:24):
he talked about, he did say there was going to
be probably at least one or two more matches.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
You can't help but that matches well.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
So the it's the Zero Hour like two hours now, Yes,
it's zero Hour starts at noon. Yeah, so there's even more.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
This is their biggest events. Yeah, it was supposed to
happen in London, but I think it was Coldplay that
booked Wembley Stadium like years in advance, So that's kind
of why. That's part of the reason why it's happening here.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Well, you know years in advance. There's no reason they
should have known and been ready for that.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Well, you know, Tony loves London. You know he's got
he's got full MFC in the Premier League.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
I can tell you it's a great place.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
I'm sure. Yeah. So anyway, uh, as I said, eight
matches right now, let's start with the World Tag Team titles.
It is a triple threat match Bobby Lashy and Shelton
Benjamin from the Hurt Syndicate taking on Jet Speeds be Ball,
Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight taking on the Patriarchy Christian Cage

(14:25):
and the current Ring of Honor World Television Champion Nick Wayne.
And by the way, I did get odds from our
friends at bet online dot ag we had we got
betting odds today, in fact, as I pulled them up
on the phone.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Because normally it would be you know, it would be
a simple pick for me either one of those teams
against the Hurt Syndicate, right, but when you make it
a triple threat.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
It feels like there's going to be a title change.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, it does.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I'm not so sure to be Christian in Nick Wayne,
you don't think so. I think there might be some
push towards Jet Speed.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Hm hmm.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I mean the crowd loves them. I think there's a
you know, I and mypression, My my impression is that
as as you know, as dominant as the Hurt Syndicate are,

(15:33):
I think Tony wants to show well kind of any
given Sunday, in this case, any given Saturday, I will
I will tell you the odds right now are actually
kind of close. Money is lying. Uh. Hurts Syndicate at
minus three hundred or one to three odds, Christian H.
Nick Wayne at plus two hundred, Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight

(15:56):
at plus five hundred odds give Lashley and Benjamin a
seventy five percent likelihood of retaining the titles. And it
may be just because I've gotten to call Kevin Knight's
matches when he wrestled and Inspire.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
I got to know him.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Great dude. I'm I'm gonna go with jets Speed.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
I think sometimes you get a little too close to people, stud.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I get close everybody. Yeah, but I'm gonna go. I
think I'm gonna go Jet Speed just for the sake
of not going with the obvious.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
See what I'm thinking is that they've made such a
big deal in the last couple of weeks about how
the Hurt synecon has pretty much put the hurt on
jet speed that somehow the Patriarchy is gonna use that
to Pin Bailey or Night.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Pick it up.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
That's why I'm picking Patriarchy.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
That's possible.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Also, where has sorry kill Switch been lately?

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Oh, he's still out, He's still sick.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
He's still sick.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Yeah, I think he's still sick.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I was thinking this would be a great time for
him to pop up, and they are.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
There is meant, there is cat, there are there are
going to be surprises, you know, people showing up.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
And they've already got a what's his name also in
the patriarchy.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Oh uh, Kip Yes, Saving, Yes, Kip Saving Ye. Yeah. So,
although he's been kind of off the radar a little bit. Yeah. Uh.
For the T and T Championship, Adam Cole defending its
Kyle Fletcher from the Don Kallis family. Odds have them
right now. It's it's a pick them. Oh well good

(17:39):
because I'm Padam Cole and Kyle Fletcher both at minus
one twenty or five or six others.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Because I think now It's finally the time for them
to pay off the potential of Kyle Fletcher. They've been
building up the last year and then kind of kind
of wane for a while.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
My heart wants Adam Cole, my head says Kyle Fletcher. Yeah,
I think I'm gonna go Fletch. I like Adam, but yeah,
I got a feeling.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
At some point you got to make the young guys stars,
so you know what they do actually matters.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Swerve, Strickland will Ospray will face the Young Bucks. Now
the stipulation if Swerve and Will win, the Bucks lose
their EVP status. If the Bucks win, Swerving will can't
challenge for the world title for one year. Right now,

(18:29):
the it's it's almost even. Young Bucks slide advantage minus
one forty or five to seven odds, Strickland and will
Ospray plus one hundred, so one to one odds give
Young Bucks a fifty eight point three percent likelihood of
winning the match. Again, this is not a prediction. This
is simply where this is where the money is laying.

(18:50):
So I would love to see there's a case for
either winner. Yeah, I think it'd be fun to see
the downfall of the Bucks, we don't really have the
elite now Ocada is apparently lying himself with Don Kallas.

(19:14):
We haven't seen Jack Perry again surprises Base, but we'll see.
But it would be kind of fun to have like
a downfall of the young.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Bucks, especially, have to see them right around the limit, absolutely,
you know, the chaos they've caused.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
On the other hand, Swerve and Will getting into it
because now they can't challenge for the world title for
a year and have that end up a feud is
also interesting.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
See, I was thinking you could still do that, but
you have the fun of Swerve and Osprey being EVPs
and then somehow and then they start butting heads because
they're gonna do that anyway.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
I don't think. I don't think they want that. I
don't think that's what they want.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
I know, you got one EVP making this match, one
ev making this match.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Yeah, but that's that seems too convoluted. I'm gonna just
what has aw done it the easy way? I know,
I for for the sake of I want to see
the downfall. I'm almost picked Serve and Will, knowing full
well that the Bucks could win just as easily.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Yeah, and for like different storyline reasons we're picking the
same thing.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah, so there's that, Uh, there is a There are
Casino Gauntlet matches for the women and the men as
of right now, and I'm not really gonna ask to
pick these because we don't know who's going to be
in it. Other than for the women's Casino match, we
know Chris stat Lander will be the first person out.

(20:44):
They're having a match tonight to determine number two. I
know time Ello is involved in it. I think thunder
Rose is involved in it. I could and I keep
remember with the rest of it. That's tonight on Dynad White.
The men's Casino Gauntlet match, we know Mark Brisco will
be number one, MJF will be number two. We also

(21:05):
know Mystico will be involved in the match. We do
not know who else beyond that, So again I'm not
gonna ask to pick because we don't know who's gonna
be in it. But give me your thoughts on the
Casino Gauntlet. I I've always enjoyed it just because of
the the unpredictability, because you don't know when it's gonna end.

(21:29):
There's not like it's not like a Royal Rumble where
you know there's gonna be thirty entrants. There might be
three entrance, there might be fifteen.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
It might be over on a one on one match.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Yes, it's you know it's it's that way. Well, no,
it's because first person get a pinfall wins.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Yeah. That's but he could number one, the first one
in there.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
That could be it.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
That could be it.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Yeah. So anyway, those there's those two matches.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
I'm gonna go thunder Rosa m J.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I'm not gonna pick them. I'm not picking.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
I'm just saying anyway, I mean.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Sounds like an obvious choice because of the whole one
get the world title. That's why he's aligned him so hard.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
And usually whenever he's in some kind of gimmick, gimmicky thing,
he wins it. There's Kip Savian, by the way, like
no one else has ever touched the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
We've got the Patriarchy and FTR and Big Stoke standing
with reneet ae W Continental Champion Kata take on the
AW International Champion Kinny Omega renewing the rivalry can the

(22:33):
Belt Atlantic.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
No, it's for the Unify. It's called the AW Unified Championship.
Tony Kahan mentioned yesterday on the media call that this
the Unified Championship, will carry the legacy of both those titles.
I think somebody even may have said something, you know,

(22:56):
the winner could carry all three belts. I wouldn't do that,
but I would. I think the bigger story is the
simple fact we are getting a renewal of arguably one
of the greatest rivalries ever in pro wrestling.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
And the fact that there's gold on both sides of
it makes it evil.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Well, I mean but they've they've battled for gold before.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Yeah, but I mean both have gold, right, There's gonna
be more gold.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
But this is you know then you know, Omega Okada.
Many consider that, may consider it be the greatest You
think of the sixty minute, sixty plus minute matches in
New Japan.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
The.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Steamboat, you know, yeah, the trilogy, Yeah, so booker t
bin wah No. As of right now, the odds Keny
Omega at minus one sixty or five to eight Okata
at plus one twenty or six to five odds give

(24:00):
Kenny Omega a sixty one point five percent likelihood of
unifying the belts. I have been saying with Omega coming
back after his diverticulitist battle. He has looked tremendous. He
lets you gotta strap the rocket on him. It's time.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
As as long as Okada's had the belt, how many
times has he defended that thing? You barely see him
on TV. Well, but it's just really annoying to me
that that belt just held hostage.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
You know, I have the problem I have. It's not
necessarily that. It's we're basically seeing a water down version
of Okada. And look, I get he may be doing
kind of like what Shinsky Nakamura did when he joined WWE.
After all the battles and putting his body through everything
that they have to go through in New Japan, maybe

(24:57):
he wants to enjoy some you know, lighter wrestling.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Yeah, and I understand that. So let's let's take the beat.
He can stand in the back and call everyone bitch,
which is funny. Have you seen the T shirt? Is
it's not great?

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I'm he was finding the first thousand times. Now I'm
kind of tired of it.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
It wasn't util I saw the T shirt.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
I couldn't care less about the T shirt. Uh. And
then the two world title matches, first of all, timeless
Tony Storm defending the women's world title against Mercedes Monee.
This is another one, kind of like with Adam Conkle Fletcher.
My my heart wants Tony Storm, my head says Mercedes. Same.

(25:37):
They want Mercedes as a belt collector.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
They've already strapped a rout with yeah, which I'm going
more to grab.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
And I'll be honest, I'm bored with Mercedes Monette. I'm
now look, I'm old, you know, I yes, I scream
at crop clouds. I'm just bored with I'm bored with her.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
Well, see, that's part of the thing. You have to
get someone credible chasing after her. And every time she's
had a T and T Championship match, you you never
thought she was gonna lose it. Yeah, but now if
you've got Tony Storm chasing after you know, it could
be like that. Yeah, And that's at least finally something
interesting because everyone else keeps disappearing.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
And then in the main event it is a Texas
Death Match for the AE. Oh, by the way, I've
meant I should have mentioned betting odds right now, Tony
Storm plus one forty seven five odds Mercedes Monet at
a minus one eighty or five to nine odds Current
odds give Monette gives Monette a sixty four point three

(26:35):
percent likelihood of winning the belt.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
So you think there's any Shenanigans in this one? Anyone
out there that count PRIs?

Speaker 2 (26:48):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
Let's say Camille, but she's doing Gladiator.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
No, they're not Jamie haters hurt. No, I think I
don't think so. I don't think this. I think it
will just be. I think Mercedes might might cheat. Yeah,
you know, got that part of that's she's a deal.
And then the main event, Texas Deathmatch, John Moxley, Hangman
Adam Page for the AEW World Championship. I have made it.

(27:17):
I just obscenely known my disdain for John Moxley's current
Tyleraine for the death writers and what you there and
the odds betting odds right now, John Moxley plus four
twenty five seventeen to ten odds Hangman out of a

(27:39):
Page at a minus eight point fifty two to five
odds Current odds gives Page a eighty nine point five
percent likelihood of winning the World Championship. And I agree
it is time. Finally, it is definitely time.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
I just don't think they picked the right gay.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Well, who who else would it be?

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Ospray would have been great if you if this, if
this had been Osprey, I would have one hundred percent
picked him without a doubt. But I'm not sure the
man is the guy that There's a part of me
that agrees Rockets, There's part of me that agrees.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
But I do see the attractiveness of having a Day
one guy. And Hangman is literally he's the one that
was holding the phone in the video outside the Tokyo
them when they revealed all Elite wrestling, Right, he's one
holding the phone that had the AEW logo. Okay, so

(28:40):
he is literally Day one. So I see, I can
see that, and that's why I buy into it. There
were people that thought Darby Allen should be part of it.
I I kind of would would have like to see that,

(29:03):
but you.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Can't have a world chap with the wys one hundred
and sixty pounds. I'm sorry, Ray Mysterio was doesn't matter
taller he was also Ray Mysterio by then you know he.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Will Ray believe me, I know, I'm I'm all for Hangman.
Uh A. It opens up you know new Challengers b
gets the belt out of that stupid briefcase, and I
you know, I don't know if Darby will be there.

(29:39):
I know he's back. He did survive Mount Everest.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Yeah, he's going to be part of Shark Week on Discovery,
so I know he's back. It would it would shock
me if he doesn't appear at all in Yeah, I
see this like like when Cody finished his story and
you get all these different where I was going.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Yeah, I think this is going to be a copy
of Roman Cody at forty one. I think we're going
to have lots of interference. We'll see the death writers
for sure, definitely. We'll probably see the ops. I bet
we'll see Sting. Sting lives in Dallas. He lives in
Dallas here, so of course he'll be there. We'll see

(30:20):
we'll see Brian Danielson come down. Probably. I think we
will see all that.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
But I think we'll see if Danielson has to make
a choice. You know, is he still with his BCC buddies.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
No, No, they're the ones that put him out. Of
course he's not.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Hey, feelings change over time stop.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Stop. But in the end, hey man, Adam Page will
be victorious. He will become a two times AEW world champion.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
You got to end this on a high note.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yes, So that is aw all in Texas this Saturday,
three pm Eastern, two pm Central on pay per View
from the home of the twenty twenty four world champion
Texas Rangers. Three to three is twenty three or twenty four?

Speaker 3 (31:12):
I still up something not calling it y'all.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
In there's a T shirt though, there's a T shirt.
Oh good, okay, I'll get you one, all right, thanks,
I'll get you one anyway. Globally Field in Arlington. There
it's a whole weekend. As I said, Dynamite, Dynamite and
Collision tonight tomorrow night at Curtis Colo Center in Garland.

(31:34):
There's also going to be Oh by the way, you
heard Scorpio Sky bring us in, Scorpio Sky returns aw Collision.
We had Max Castro with his best restler Alive Open
Challenge and he was Scorpio Sky let me with Christopher
Daniels accompanying him. So a little bit scu back.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
You know, Scorpio Skuy had the best version of the
TNT title. Yeah, like Lakers Colors. I also think I
was gonna become a thing where everyone who has the
title kind of personalized it a little more. But it's just.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Well, yeah, I could not have been happier. Love Scott
to death of course, part of the circus fan. Yeah,
it was so good to see him back. He would
not I would be shocked if he's not, at least
in the Casino Gauntlet. But yeah, good to see Scorpio
Sky back in the ring with ae W. Also this weekend,

(32:31):
Friday Night Ring of Honor Super Card of Honor Friday Night,
APM Eastern, seven pm Central. It will be exclusively on
r OH Honor Club. It will be at the e
Sports Stadium in Arlington, which is about a a nine
iron drive away from Global Life Field. The card right

(32:55):
now has five matches. Bandido defending the Ring of Honor
World Tide against Kanuska Takashta Athena, the Forever Ring of
Honor Women's World Champion. She will defend that title against
thunder Rosa, My Boys, The Sons of Texas, Dustin Road,
Sammy Gevara. They will defend the Ring of Arner World

(33:15):
Tag Team titles against the Infantry. Nick Wayne will defend
the Ring of Arnoor World Television Championship against Titan out
of CMLL and Lee Moriarty will defend the Pure Championship
against Blue Panther. All five of them title matches. Yeah,
there was supposed to be a match for the Ring

(33:39):
of Water Women's Television Championship. Red Velvet, however, is injured.
Uh Tony Kah disclosed that yesterday in the media conference call.
He said there will be an announcement regarding that. I
don't know if it's going to be a match or
if it's a tournament. They're gonna crown an interim champion.
That would have affect. So yeah, they've done that before, so.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Keep up with the theme of gold or in this
case silver.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
So but yeah, should be a good card. Uh Ring
of Honor Supercard of Honor Friday Night from the Esports
Stadium in Arlington used to be called the Arlington Convention Center,
APM Eastern, seven pm Central. It will be on Ring
of Honors Honor Club. So you'll subscribe to that. I

(34:28):
think it's nine nine nine a month and you can
check out Supercard of Honor.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
I will be at the Moody Amphitheater. I'm sure iration
is slightly stupid.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
There you go, all right, getting very You're gonna take
a quick time out when we come back. WW Saturday
Night's Man event is coming up. We'll preview that as
well as Evolution. That's next on Sports Guys Talking Wrestling.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Satur Mila.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Don't anybody find that Settle middle Yestinishkuchango this four guys
belking ven Yes, welcome back to Sports Guys Talking Wrestlings
do marek Adie Cross previewing the weekend in Wrestling. So

(35:37):
Saturday night, as I am driving back from Arlington, w
W Saturday Night's main event this Saturday night, a pm Eastern,
seven pm Central on NBC, streaming live on Peacock, it
will come to us from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta,
which I spent a few hours in prior to Super

(36:01):
Bowl fifty three. That's where they did media day. So now,
as crazy as sounds, there's only three matches slate it
so far. Now they may add something Friday night on widdown,
but only three matches.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
I'll show you how this was just kind of thrown
together to kind of throw off AW.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Yes. Well, you know AW did move their start time
to the afternoon and allegedly at least the reports are
saying that Tony has slayed it all in to be
done before saying that's my event, which honestly I wouldn't mind.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
It still gives them plenty of time.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
I mean two o'clock Central, make say, four hours for
the pay per view, which is about what they've been
doing anyway. That's six o'clock eve, an hour for the
press conference, media whatever, and I'm pulling out of Globe
by feel to seven.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
Hey, you can be home by ten. Yeah, you drive
like a demon. Sometimes it's I'm sorry, that's.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
No, that's easy. Actually, that's that's really I've done that
one hundred times back in the day when I was
covering the Cowboys. So uh, As I said three matches.
In his final match of his career, Goldberg is challenging
Gunther for the w W World Tavyweight Championship. I'm not

(37:28):
going to ask for a pick on this one because
I think we know who's gonna win. I will, I will.
I'm gonna put the over under on match length at.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Nine no, no nine over under.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Oh, that that definitely under. I would say, I will
say six minutes ten seconds over under, six minutes ten
seconds over.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
But not by much.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
Now, See the problem is I can see a world
where they let Goldberg go out on top in Atlanta
just so you have someone ticket from him at SummerSlam.
But this is his last match, I know, and the
fact that he keeps saying it's his last match makes
you wonder if it won't be his last match. It is,
and I can see that world and it annoys me.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
He's not He's not defending it summer.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
And I'm not as upset as a lot of people
are about the fact that he's getting a world title shot.
I'm like, the guy's the Hall of Famer, one of
the biggest stars ever. He wants a retirement match. It's
in his town. I'm like, let it happen. It's great.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
I agree, but don't give them the bell. I agree.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
L A.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Knight. We'll face Seth freaking Rawlins, seth Rawlins and Crew
exerting their dominance on raw taking out Sami Zaye taken
out who else was? It wasn't Panta, it was Oh
jay Uso. Yeah, yeah, yeah, with the tsunamis from Bronson.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
L A. Knight and seth Rawlins. You know, Seth Rowlins
got to win this one because they got to continue
to exert their dominance.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
And it really annoys me because I really like La Knight.
I really don't like Seth Rollins. L A Knight's fantastic. Yeah,
I'm you know, I will do you know La Knight? Dummy?

Speaker 2 (39:17):
There you go see, And.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
I'm all, he should have some kind of gold right now,
I agree. And the fact that they're about to sacrifice
them to Seth Rollins, which stupid name Seth and the
stupid song, and the fact that they don't even have
a name for their group yet really annoys me. Randy
Orton facing Drew McIntyre, that's a good one. Now it

(39:45):
seems like they have planted seeds towards a Randy Orton
He'll turn so you can face Cody again.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
It seems like Cody's kind of starting the very beginning
parts of a turn. May which one's gonna I'm not
gonna say that yet, you know, it's what and this
is kind of the whole thing with this is kind
of the thing with fans and how they call for

(40:18):
He'll turns and.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
They want heel turns and all that good stuff.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
You know.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
I'm the guy that says, folks, we can't turn everybody heel. Yeah,
Cody is making way too much money for WW merchandise.
He's still way over with the fans. It's it's kind
of the same thing they ran into with John Cena
back in the day. So no, you're not. I don't

(40:45):
think you're gonna turn him heel yet.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
No, not yet. But like the fact that, like in
their match, Randy didn't punt Cody in the head, but
Cody did everything possible to win. It's like you kind
of see the beginnings. But I don't think Randy's turning yet, right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
So anyway, I don't know who to pick in this one.
I hope. I think it will be a good match.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
I think it needs to be Drew just because he
just got back.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
So any of that. Saturday Night's Man event this Saturday
APM Eastern, seven pm Central on NBC and Peacock. We're
laughing because m JF is coming out and there are
signs referring to Pickles. He's coming out for his tuck.
You talk with the incomparable Mark Brisco Love Mark, I
am I am as sad as it makes me. I

(41:36):
am also honored that I got to know both Mark
and Jay back in the day. Jay was a big
Raiders fan. He loved the Raiders tech in fact, And
when I was at Super Bowl fifty two in Minneapolis,
I was at le Steinberg's Super Bowl party and I

(41:56):
got to meet Mark Davis, who is of course the lowner.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
So I got he's the one with the horrible haircut guys.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
And I so I got a selfie with him and
texted it to Jay, say here's you, here's your boy.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
So yeah, I would have guessed Bills are giants for
them just being from what what Delaware?

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Right? Uh? Yeah, Sandy Ford, Delaware. He was a Raiders guy,
so but Raiders does fit their personality. He had a
Raiders tattoo on his chest. So there is also w
W Evolution. It is Sunday, Sube, six pm Central on
Peacock also also at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Now,

(42:36):
I have seen social media posts over the last couple
of days people that have tickets to Evolution. They've been
getting these messages saying they've been upgraded. Really because they're
tarping off the they're closing off the upper bowls.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
Slow sales.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Apparently this is that there's been some sales for this
have not been great, which I'm on Atlanta, you know whatever.
As of right now, seven matches.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
Well they get for count programming aw.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
Well, but evolutions on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
Yeah, but there's only so much time, especially if you're
doing all this stuff in Atlanta already. I get like
there's only so much money for people.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
So seven matches. Eo Sky defending the Women's World Championship
against Rhea Ripley that I think EO does keep it.
I don't know how, but I think there's gonna be
something happening. In a triple threat mat for the Women's
Aaron Continental Championship, Becky Lynch defends against Bailey and Lyarra Valkyria.
Becky keeps. My guess is she'll pin Lyra. Tiffany Stratton

(43:47):
will defend the w W Women's title against Hall of
Famer trist Stratus.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
This is the Hall of Famer. I'm upset about getting
a title match.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
They need, they need folks on the card.

Speaker 3 (43:58):
Yeah, I get it, like there's't enough women in w
it be really.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
In a fatal four way for the women's tag team titles,
Raquel Rodriguez and Rock San Perez defending Daughters of Texas.
They could be called the Dollars. A text sure they
are defending is a team from Raw, a team from SmackDown,
and a team from NXT. So the SmackDown team Charlotte

(44:22):
Flair and Alexa Bliss, interesting pairing. The Raw team the
Kabuki Warriors Oscar and Kyrie Sane former tag team champions,
the NXT team Soul Ruka, who is the current Speed
Champion and North America and the Women's North America Champion,
and Zaria.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
So I.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Part of me says I could see a title change here.
Part of me says they'll keep the titles on there
for another reason. It'll make the story better for when
Live Morgan comes back.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
Yeah, I think they're keeping the titles.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
I'm about Live Morgan may be gone for a little while,
so I don't know, you know, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
I'm upset that they didn't include more t and a talent.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
It's a w W pay for you. This is you know.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
I know this has been a great time to bring
in the inspiration.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Well, and there's there's talk that they might show up
at least in n XT.

Speaker 3 (45:16):
Yeah, but a great time Instead of bringing back trist
Stratus from uh from the Mother's Room. You could have
had a Masha Slam OFAs you know. That would have
been that one might have sold some tickets.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Speaking of NXT, j C Jane defending the NXT Women's
Championship against Jordan Grace.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
That better be a title change, I think so.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
I think so in a no Holds Barred match Naomi
and Jade Cargill. That sounds fun interesting. I hope Jade
has a better match on Sunday than she did against.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
Osscar Well that's the thing. That's why No Holds Barred
fits better.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Yeah, it does.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
Basically, she wrestle is like a big man. She's not
the technical, flippy, trivial person, so kind of let loose,
throw some weapons, you know, just have a slugfest, do
what you're good.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
At, and then there will be a battle Royal. I
think this will include all three brands. The winner gets
a championship match at Clash in Paris in August.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
So I guess that's for whichever brand they're on.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
I would assume. So, so, if you're on Raw, you
get shot the world title SmackDown, the Women's title NXT,
the NXC Women's title anyway. That is Evolution this Sunday,
seven six pm Central on Peacock from State Firm Arena
in Atlanta. One other note on SmackDown this Friday, The

(46:49):
Wyatt Six, Joe Gacy and Dexter loomis getting a shot
at the tag titles against the Street Profits.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
Interesting interesting spect shenanigans. I expect a lot of the
rest of the tag team division ye Losh.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
And from the rest of the White Six.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
Oh yeah, but I expect the rest of the Tax Team.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
And that was one of the things that I talked
about when when they first introduced the White Six. He
you know, it was it was a cool visual for
the first few appearances. I said, eventually, they've got to
put him into you know, get him into matches, get
him into title pictures.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
What happened and especially remind people that they're just regular guys.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
There's with customs well and and so this is a
good way to do that. Put him in the tag
title picture.

Speaker 3 (47:40):
You know. So the fact that it's not Eric Rowan
in the tag team makes me think that they're especially
think that they're not going to win. It was like
Rowan and Lisa then like yeah, maybe right, but I
mean really compared to everyone else who is Joe Casey,
you know, Joe Gacy is He's I'm just saying, like

(48:02):
character wise, he came and they brought him out of
n x T when he was really kind of a
mid level in n x T. Yeah, but he was,
you know, like it was that if you look pre
n XT his work in like g c W and
but but if you only watch SmackDown, yeah, you're like,
I get it was this guy good.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
So any cross, I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
Man, well Stu before you let me go.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Yes, oh you were in London.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
I was in London.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
You got to see Rev Pro.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
I saw the Rev Pro Revolution Rumble, which I always
think is where do they call it the Revolution pro?
You guys lost that you lost a lot of revolutions.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
Stop the English lost a lot of revolutions.

Speaker 3 (48:46):
I'm just saying that's a weird choice.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Look, the culture guys are friends of mine.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
I'm just saying it's a weird choice in names. But yeah,
it was a it was a fun card friends match
and he was in the rumble.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
Yeah, he gets right. He travels, he kicks the mass man, well,
he travels, he lots. Yeah, he's going to be up
in Dallas for g c W.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
Yeah, he's fun Now it was there was a title
change of the cruiseweight title. There's the tack team the
young Guns. Yeah, that was a bloody tag team matchup.
Those guys are keeping there off of those guys Cruise weight.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
That's Michael Oku right.

Speaker 3 (49:26):
No, he's the champion. He's the headweight champion.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
Michael Oh, he's the headweight cham Yeah. He's been a
prospect for a W. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
Yeah, I can see him. He is small for heavyweight champion. Yeah,
so I can see him coming up coming across some
kind of like a list named Leon Slater and yeah.
Oh and Mercedes One is going to be there in
the fall to defend her.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
She's the current she's their women's title.

Speaker 3 (49:52):
They had a lady named fun when her name is Kanji.
They had a great chance for her. Can she do it?
Sheikhanji okay, And there was a huge surprise due and
I want you to tell me who you see here?

Speaker 2 (50:09):
That would be take off my glasses.

Speaker 3 (50:15):
Think back is that?

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Oh what was his name? Eugene yep okay, Eugene.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
Come out like think it was like number ten or
fifteen in the rumble okay, and the crowd went wild. Hey,
of course, And I think it's great that he's actually
still using Eugene. It's it's you gotta wonder about that
gimmick these days. Yeah, but he was still able to
use the Eugene graphics in the name and the character.
And I'm like, oh my god, holy Crapen.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah, I mean he's he's a bit older, of course. Yeah,
but still, hey.

Speaker 3 (50:54):
Everyone loved it, all right. It was like, good, talk
about unexpected. What's his name, Nick Densmore, Is that it?

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (51:03):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, talk about unexpected.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Okay, all right, there you go.

Speaker 3 (51:07):
But lastly, Stu coming from almost five thousand miles away.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
What's that stonehenge? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (51:15):
Nice, brought your gifts almost five thousand miles Oh, thank you,
rip pro hat.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
I wanted to get your T shirt, but they were
out of the logo shirts. All they had was long
slack T shirts and I'm like, we don't wear those
in Texas.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
I like, I like cats. Thank you, very cool man.
I appreciate you help me out, Stu. It's fun. It's
always I always enjoyed.

Speaker 3 (51:37):

feel like Blake Moroe is going to turn on Jordan Grace.

So why not. A couple other notes in New Japan
Pro Wrestling getting ready for the G One Climax. They
had their final play in matches and it was real
Hey Oiwa and Yoshi Hashi that qualified that won their
playing matches, so they are now in the G one Climax.
And then right before they had that event, I think

(56:30):
it was it was New Japants or NJPW Sol or
NUW Japant Soul in the Goya, I think the announcement
was made. Hiroki Goto injured himself during his title defense
against Zach Saber Junior and unfortunately he cannot compete in
the G One Climax. So they had another a last

(56:52):
chance gauntlet and it was tai Chi. They ended up
winning that last Chance Gauntlet, so he will go to
Spot in the G One Climax. Again that tournament is
set to start. I think in I think like next week.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
