I have not. And I went to a Ruba, which
was just I mean, it was my second time to Ruba.
Spent six days there and dear lord, I mean, oh,
it's paradise.

I it was. There were there were thoughts. There were thoughts,
believe me.

Yeah. On the beach it.

Was. I mean, spent three days on the beach, one
of them on a beach with lingos and an iguana,
which was really fun. Wow, it was beautiful. It was
just beautiful.

And I've had a pretty good month myself turned forty eight,
all right. It spent a long weekend in Nashville. Okay,
went to a Titans game to hate on them in
person because they stole my oilers.

I went to Nashville SC soccer match, all right, only
the second MLST game I've been to in person. Also,
I don't know if you remember that the time I.

It was at the end of the aulstin FC's first season.
They scored the fastest goal in team history and won
like four to one. Yeah, they also scored almost a
record fastest goal in Nashville SC history and won like
five to one.

And it's almost my eighth year at my job, and
I can barely fathom thirty years.

was January of ninety four. I was a clerk at

she just opened up a children's boutique or something like that.
Oh okay in Atlanta. But she hadn't been seen on

And you know Cody Roads, did you know they had
the Drew McIntyre booted him, you know, down there to
ride him off so he could go do a street fighter. Yes, yea.
So but then all of a sudden, oh, hey they
have a second child's But congratulations Cody and Brandy. That's

Do you know if they had the kid in the

Just wondering, no little thing. Kind of on the opposite end,
uh in the video went viral, you know, quite a
bit real Ripley. So there was a video of her.
She was walking i think to an uber and a
fan came up to ask for a allograph, which okay,

and then before we know it, she was mobbed to
the point where she was pressed up against Yeah. She
posted on X on social media. You know, look where
human beings you got to give a space. And this
isn't the first time this has happened to Rhea and

it kind of it kind of goes to the point of, look,
it's I get that that fans are excited to see
their favorite wrestler. It's you and I have worked in
sports radio forever. In a day, We've seen you know,
athletes it you know, get swarmed.

Yeah, they definitely want swarm in us. There. We've seen other.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
People, you know, you know all the time that'd go
Super Bowl Radio Row and there would be people camped
out outside where we would be doing radio row with
their myriad of items and whatever. Look, I get it,
you're you're excited, but you gotta you gotta give them space.

You gotta let them be people. Let them be people,
Let them do their thing.

And when Matthew McConaughey, before he started being on the
sideline all the time, his suite was above our season
tickets and he would like come down pregame just like
pass through the crowd to get to this field. And
every now and then you knew when he was coming
because or sometimes you would throw sandwiches.

Look, I there were there were times on radio road
Super Bowl I still remember. I think this was I
think it was San Francisco, and they had they actually
had a like a blocked off little walkway fans could
buy a ticket to walk through radio row. Now it

wasn't like they couldn't get in where we were. It
was barricaded and everything. And it was that Friday Cuba
Gooding Junior showed up on radio row. They were promoting
one of his movies, and it was just a mass
of humanity wherever he would go.

Golf twenty nineteen, the Dell Technologies match play, same thing,
and yeah, I remember I'm sitting on I'm sitting at
the green at eleven, and it was it was they

and you had this body of water. It was a

hits his t shot and they have to walk down
this hill, this massive humanity following him, it was nuts.
I mean, so yeah, all that penning up against the

at airports, at restaurants. I'm just saying, look, be respectful.
These are these are people. They have lives. They are
not just the wrestler you see on TV. They are humans.
Be respectful. Don't do don't don't be one of those

You know what's funny is that if you think about it,
like some people want to blame like old social media
and phones, I'm like, you know, it's been happening since

Like a few years back on our birthday, I met
Dave Chappelle downtown on uh that's six fifth over by
the old Antzeons. Yeah, and you know, he had like
one security guy kind of keeping people away from his
little area of the bar, and there are people trying
to get in and take pictures. But for the most part,
it wasn't that big a deal. He went to the restroom,

like all the way through the bar. You know, Austin
bars are just young and skinny, and you know, there
are people talking to him or trying to and but
he was able to get through. Yeah, he came back
through I was able to say hi, but it was
all almost normal.

It was chill, Yeah, it was chill. So yeah, just
give these folks there, give the wrestlers their their room,
give them their space. I promise it would be much better.
You'd be much better off.

But I did see, and I think that's part of it,
because you know, we saw it with Clash in Paris
and SmackDown and Raw. The fans are absolutely rabid, they

Roxy and her car. So they did fix it or
come up with the station pretty quickly. I mean, like
you got giant men. Absolutely make them welcome to the cars.

like every match involving one or more members of the

What annoys me is that, you know, if you see
this happening week after week, and none of the wrestlers,
none of their characters are smart enough to have someone

long did it take for people to start forming up

that's that's still cool. The big story Sammy Gavara after
he and the Van Erks lost the six man titles
to Shane Taylor Promotions Shane Taylor, Carl Bravo and Sean Dean. Uh.

title match against the Outrunners. It was gonna be Sammy
Gavar and a mystery partner, and they made it sound
like it was going to be one of the von Erics.
