Recentemente, in occasione del bicentenario della morte di Teresa Castiglioni Ciceri, è stato pubblicato un libro a cura di Monica Molteni: “Sulle tracce di Teresa. Incursione nella vita di Teresa Ciceri, in bilico tra letteratura e cucina “(New Press Edizioni) per celebrare la figura di questa grande donna, figlia dell’illuminismo lombardo, che dedicò tutta la sua vita allo studio di nuove applicazioni nel campo industriale e nel campo dell’agronomia, introducendo per prima in Lombardia la coltivazione della patata, rivoluzionando così le abitudini alimentari del popolo.

Pressoché sconosciuta alla maggior parte dei nostri concittadini, Teresa Castiglioni era una angerese doc, essendo nata ad Angera il 15 ottobre 1750.
