There's there's always interested betting football,especially if you're giving people, you know,

Actually, it can be very treacherousfor handicappers because it's, uh, it's

top of the normal college football handicapping, you have to be mindful of you
know, who's opting out of ballgames, who's hopping in the transfer portal.

it's very uh, it can bea very treacherous time finding these ball

dig it deep for it. Oneof the other deals which you which you
mentioned a second ago, was aboutwatching and being mindful and and you did

been for some teams a month sincethey played the last football game, and
guys who got banged up toward theend of the season can show up,

eligible to play in these ball games. So you have to watch that as
I would just add that to thefinalist you put together of things you have
to pay attention to when it comesto ballgames. Yeah, definitely, there's

teams. You know, some teamsdon't get the ball game they wanted,
so they don't try, whereas othersare just happy to be there so they
give it they're all. And youalso have situations where you got to look
at the head coaching too, right, a lot of guys are getting shired
or leaving for better jobs this timeof year, so you got to be
mindful if the team lost their coach, you know, how motivated are the
kids to finish out the bowl gameknowing, ah, you know this guy,

this guy abandoned us before you knowwe even pressed the bowl game,
really as most of them do.So yeah, it's definitely one of those

right, So here's what we got. We got a tomorrow morning, okay,

in Conway, South Carolina, ateleven am. It's the Myrtle Beach
Bowl. That'll be Georgia Southern againstOhio of the MAC So there. You
got that bowl eleven a m inSouth Carolina. You know you want breakfast

or brunch or whatever you want tocall it. There's a bowl game eleven
a m uh. That's this couldit could be the third or fourth quarter
before these two teams wake up.Yeah, this is This is a very
interesting one obviously because Ohio, youknow, they've had a quarterback for now
and heard us work and he hasdecided to hop in the transfer portal now

and showed his last season at anotherschool, so you know, you don't
you don't see that often, especiallywhen he's been there for four years.
But yeah, he's he's the guy, so he's not going to be playing
in this one. That that'll besomething to watch. And you know,
again speaking with the motivation thing,you got to look at this Ohio team,

like a lot of them peg themas the best team in the MAC
coming into the Seam, and theydidn't even make it to the MAC Championships.
So you really got to wonder isthis a game they care about winning?
They wanted to be played two weeksago, right, and they didn't
make it to that game. Soit happens. Okay, that's on ESPN
now, here's the bowl game.It's called the Celebration Bowl. It's noon

in Atlanta, Georgia, being playedat the Mercedes Benz Dome there. It's
on ABC. And this one alwaysis a good one. It's traditionally the
two best, you know, HBCteams, And this is Florida and m
and Howard and FAM. You hasreally done well in the past couple of

years. Coach Larry Scott and whathe's done there is is pretty good.
No question about Howard from Washington dC. Another fine school. So there's
this one is gonna be competitive becausethere's serious bragging rights. This is basically
the HBC National Championship Game. Yeah, it's good, good FCS matchup.

Personally, I don't know too muchabout these two teams, so if you're
looking to bet on the game,you know, maybe maybe finds an opinion
from somebody who knows the FCS well. But yeah, the one thing I
can't tell you about this game isFAM who's a seven point favorite coming in.

few years one of the more dominantschools in the HBC. And and and
Howard, you know, Howard hashad its moments, and so we'll see
how it plays out for them.But that one's that one, as I
said before, is for them.It's a national championship game. It's a

start. So it's you know,fam you against Howard uh noon on ABC
the New Orleans Bowl, which isat two point fifteen on ESPN, obviously
right after the Myrtle Beach Bowl.Jacksonville State and Louisiana. So traditionally this

has been good for the coaches andthe players because you know, a lot
of these coaches is go on toeither larger, you know, power five
jobs or to uh you know,or to a group of five jobs.

So this has been a good steppingstone bowl for those kind of coaches.
So there you go on that one, Yeah, go ahead. Rich Rot
has definitely been one of those hotnames thrown out all year just because of
the job he's sent at Jacksonville stated, Yeah, this is a little interesting
matchup just because obviously Jacksonville State,you gotta be thinking, has a ton

of motivation here that in their firstyear up from FCS that they're having they
would love to cap it off here, but this is one where, yeah,
all ball games are played on aneutral site, but you gotta paint
sometimes. You're getting the Louisiana laughfight yet playing in the New Orleans Bowl
here, so they don't even haveto leave the state and nine minute drive.

Yeah, and you can imagine howmany fans from each school are going
to be showing up when the majoritywill be in that one just because of
the locations. So again another thingto keep mihnd of a good point because
I'll tell you what, just likethe Celebration Bowl, they're getting to play,
you know, the stadiums that theyplay in our fine stadiums, they're

smaller stadiums. They're playing the CelebrationBowl in Atlanta, in you know,
in the Big Dome where the SECplays their championship game, where there's been
Super Bowls. I mean, it'sstepping in the same thing in New Orleans.
These you know, these two schoolsare been into not only a nationally

televised bowl game. And as yousaid, can you imagine kids from you
know, Louisiana and from Jackson Statefor that Jacksonville State for that matter,
how many games they've watched of theNew Orleans Saints or you know, other
teams playing in that stadium, andto actually now be able to get on

the turf out there has got tobe quite you know, quite exciting for
the players. Yeah, definitely,that's why, you know, the motivation
could definitely be a factor in thisone as well. Absolutely. Okay,
one of three bowls in the cityof Orlando starts tomorrow and that's gonna be

Miami of Ohio against app State inthe Cure Bowl. That obviously is the
back end of the doubleheader on ABC. That's a three point thirty kick and
it is Miami of Ohio taken onapp State. Yeah, another interesting matchup.
Like I said, you know,the games aren't great, but definitely

just some interesting matchups because obviously wehave Miami Ohio here, who's fat and
happy off winning the back championship,and they're playing an app State team who
feels like there's some unfinished business afterlosing in their Sun Belt Championship to Troy.
So this could be another one wherethe motivation is a big factor.

Let's move on. This is youknow we're talking about we're talking about you
know, home cooking, right,you don't get much more home cooking than
this one. It's the New MexicoBowl being held in Albuquerque, Fresno State,
who you know, personally, Ithink they're probably a bit pissed off

that they didn't do better this yeartaking on New Mexico State, you know
again a short trip for New MexicoState to play in the bowl named after
them five on ESPN. Yeah,so hilarious matchup here, just because New

Mexico State is the designated own teamin this right, so you know,
it just could have could have plannedthat one out a bit better. But
I think the bigger story here isthis is where it all started for for

new logo, yeah, all overthis field weeks ago and it sent them

to the to the Conference USA Championshipright now. Now, they didn't win,
but this is still, you know, a ten win team. This

Raiders, I'm sorry, the Ramsand the Chargers played there. It's not
as it's actually a shorter trip foru c LA to play at so Far
that it is for them to playwhere they normally play, which is at

the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Sothis is about fifteen minutes closer to campus.
But I don't think there may bethat many UCLA people traveling to the
to Englewood to watch the game againstBoise State. On the other hand,
I'm pretty sure, you know,Boise State, who you know, didn't

get the didn't win the Mountain West, it is going to be pretty geeked
out about playing UCLA. Yeah,it's funny, Jim. You took the
point right out of my mouth.With the the SOFI Stadium being closer to
the UCLA campus, yet they'll stillhave no fans show up for the game.
But uh yeah, another one herewhere pretty much the home team is

the designated road team somehow, anduh yeah, this is UCLA had a
very interesting end to the season.Obviously, they lost that final game against
Cal. It was a meaningless gamefor them. I mean, the whole
the whole second half of the seasonhas been pretty meaningless. Meanwhile, the
Boise State's got to be riding ahigh here, you know. They they

fire their head coach and then youseed to make a run to the Mountain
West Championship, which they win onthe road in Las Vegas, and they
got to be feeling great about themselves. I think obviously the players are getting
up for the coach, and thismight be one where Boise State takes down

State Louisiana in Shreport where the IndependenceBowl will be played, and this one
matches the is the only matchup ofthe day of two you know, brand
name Power Five Conference teams, TexasTech representing of course the Big twelve,
CAL representing for at least a couplemore weeks the Pac twelve. They'll be

moving on to the ACC next year. These are two teams. Now,
Texas Tech you could say had abit of a disappointing year. I think
a lot of people thought Texas Techwould do better than they did in the
past in the Big Twelve. Meanwhile, you got cal who nobody saw heading
in to Bowl eligibility. But youknow, the Bears showed up and so

is this a game where cal cankind of put a cap on a better
than expected season against the Texas TechRed Raider team. Yeah, another one
where you got to look at themotivation, right, cav As You said
they weren't looking great, but theyhad a strong end to the season.
They needed to win some games,and they won those games, especially when

it came down to their final gameof the season. You know, they
beat a team like UCLA who hadone of the better defenses in the Pac
Twelve for most of the year.So they showed up when they needed to
show up just to make it tothis game. Meanwhile, yeah, Texas
Tech, you got to be wonderingwhere the motivation is at there, just
because they're a team that had suchhigh expectations coming into the season. You

lose your quarterback like three weeks in, then the injuries start piling up.
The rest of the season just completelyfalls apart on you. And then yeah,
you get to your final game whereyou played Texas and you didn't even
show up in a fifty seven toseven loss. Probably part of the raason
why you made Texas look so goodand why they got the playoff bit because
they're just blowing out teams that aren'tshutting up. Yeah, how Texas text

is three and a half point favoritehere beats me because I don't know what.
I don't know what their motivation wouldbe to win this game other than
maybe just to to I don't know, put make amends with with a terrible
season that was plagued by a lotof injuries. But I would think Cal

Bowl schedule for Day one of Bowlof bol Mania. Meanwhile, all we
have our first full slate of Saturdaygames. All of these games, by
the way, uh, should youwish to watch them, will be on

NFL network. In Canada as well, Yeah, it is the NFL network,
But I think again, it's it'slicensed by TSN to show. Okay,
so TSN gets to day, areit so? All right? The
first one to kick off at oneo'clock is all these games, by the
way, have playoff implications, whichyou know, stunning surprise there, Uh,

Minnesota at Cincinnati. That's the wayChris Rose on the call and Jason
mccordy doing that for the NFL Network. Minnesota Cincinnati, I think, you
know, I think that it's oneof the things. He's being played in
Cincinnati. You gotta favor I thinkyou gotta favorite Cincinnati in this one,

don't you. Yeah, they're athree point favored here. This is a
bit of a weird one just becauseobviously the Vikings are coming off that three
nothing win. But I think thefact that it was Nick Mullins that led
the you know, the game winningfield goal drive. You're probably gonna see
him start this week, and wedon't know what the Vikings look like with

Nick mullet so true, right,Like, we haven't seen him in this
off it's been you know, we'veseen Jaren Hall, we've seen Josh Dobbs,
we've seen Kirk cause we've seen everybodyin this offense. But Nick Mullins

on the road here. Obviously,the Bengals have revived life with Jake Browning

and it's right seven and six.They got to be thinking they can make

So yeah, this is a Thisis gonna be an interesting game to watch

NFC, so seven and six givesthem a much better chance. They're actually

and that is a playoff implications.But this one, you got two

so we were all over that SteelersPatriots though over last week. But I
didn't think true Biscuit was just gonnalay an egg the way he did.

the better defense. The Colts can'tstop anybody, but I mean the Colts
have had a more consistent offense thisyear, so true, it could be

had when Kenny Pickett was there,So that might help him too. The
nightcap Saturday Night is Detroit hosting Denveragain NFL Network. Kevin Harlan making trip

I love these Saturday games, JimLike. They may not be the
sexy Men, but they're definitely excitingmatchups from uh, from a standpoint of
what these teams need to do.You don't really have any teams that are

at the Broncos here. If theChiefs lose another game and the Broncos keep
winning, you could have the Broncoswinning the AFC West over the Chiefs.
And I think they know that andthat they're playing obviously, you know,
one of the hottest teams in theNFL right now. They actually come in

been unraveling over the last month.So it'll be interesting. It's a good
thing they got those those nine winsearly in the season because it might just
be enough to win the division.At this point, they have a pretty

Let's move to Sunday. Let's goto the CBS games first. These are

your one o'clock games. The arein Miami, and you know what,
back a couple of weeks ago,three or four weeks ago, we might
have said, you know, theJets, you know, don't even have
a prayer against Miami this week.And this time, you know, Miami,

the Jets defense is playing pretty good, and we'll have to see Miami's
had some trouble with good defenses.Jim Nanson, Tony Romo on the call.
Yeah, it'll be an interesting game. I will say, I think
it's an awful spot for the Jetsjust because a little bit of a little
bit of recency bias with the wayZach Wilson, you know, destroyed the

Texans at home. Sure, nowthey're gonna go on the road and bake
it in the Miami sun. Thereon the sideline, not to mention the
fact that you're getting a Dolphins teamthat is coming off a loss at home
in the worst possible fashion, avery close in a game they were leading.

This might just be a you know, they they laid it on them
two weeks ago or three weeks agoon on Black Friday. This could be
another game that's very similar to that. Man Tampa Bay on the road at

overperforming. But David is tracking well, I mean they're tracking, you know,
to a point where you're gonna say, well, you know, Houston's

division where there are a bunch ofteams are like that. Yeah, and

it's one of those things where youknow, the Texans, you don't know
what the team they're gonna be withoutc J. Stroud just because is that
going to take Is the locker roomgoing to take a hit because their quarterback's

He's gonna lost to Zach Wilson andand the Jets. So college,

CBS. McCarthy, Tommy McCarthy makinga trip down from from Philadelphia. No,
actually that's they're they're out. They'replaying a game out in Sofi.
So Tom McCarthy flying out there.James Lofton and Jay Feely on the call
on CBS that's your game on theLake game. I don't think there's much

that needs to be said about thatone. I like the Rams, That's

You know, they have something toplay for. The Commanders that think of
giving up on the season. Heck, maybe they'll be in Virginia with the

years. Coach Larry Scott and whathe's done there is is pretty good.
No question about Howard from Washington dC. Another fine school. So there's
this one is gonna be competitive becausethere's serious bragging rights. This is basically
the HBC National Championship Game. Yeah, it's good, good FCS matchup.

Personally, I don't know too muchabout these two teams, so if you're
looking to bet on the game,you know, maybe maybe finds an opinion
from somebody who knows the FCS well. But yeah, the one thing I

would love to cap it off here, but this is one where, yeah,

to be showing up when the majoritywill be in that one just because of

smaller stadiums. They're playing the CelebrationBowl in Atlanta, in you know,

televised bowl game. And as yousaid, can you imagine kids from you
know, Louisiana and from Jackson Statefor that Jacksonville State for that matter,

the players. Yeah, definitely,that's why, you know, the motivation

Miami of Ohio against app State inthe Cure Bowl. That obviously is the
back end of the doubleheader on ABC. That's a three point thirty kick and
it is Miami of Ohio taken onapp State. Yeah, another interesting matchup.
Like I said, you know,the games aren't great, but definitely

just some interesting matchups because obviously wehave Miami Ohio here, who's fat and
happy off winning the back championship,and they're playing an app State team who
feels like there's some unfinished business afterlosing in their Sun Belt Championship to Troy.

moving on to the ACC next year. These are two teams. Now,
Texas Tech you could say had abit of a disappointing year. I think

is this a game where cal cankind of put a cap on a better
than expected season against the Texas TechRed Raider team. Yeah, another one

beat a team like UCLA who hadone of the better defenses in the Pac

because they're a team that had suchhigh expectations coming into the season. You

they're just blowing out teams that aren'tshutting up. Yeah, how Texas text

on that one Cleveland, I mean, Cleveland's been playing well, Joe Flacco
at quarterback. This is one ofthose games where Cleveland needs to win.

games with the total in the thirties. But yeah, definitely, the Browns
are in the best position to makethe playoffs right now because they have the

case they drop any of those games, they need to win this game.
And on the bright side for them, you got a quarterback that's playing for
his career right now. You know, he thought he was gonna be on
the couch all year. Now he'sbeen given the chance and he's gonna play

nobody could sign him off their practicesquad, there's actually an incentive there for

game. Every time he wins agame, he gets an extra seventy five

Recency bias is a big thing,especially in the NFL. So everybody's gonna
see that three nothing game and they'regoing to automatically bet under for both the

have to expect a response. Theseare professional players, so sixty three is
a little bit much. I don'tthink anybody on the planet had sixty three
