(00:22):
Friday, everybody, it's Bowl Leave. It's Jim Zama, Dais and iamadayas
you know. I can't Well,I was gonna say I can't wait,
but trust me I can. BowlSeason begins tomorrow, my friend, and
uh, from now until early Jauary, you're gonna get football, whether it's
(00:46):
good or bad, every day ofthe week. Yeah, it's bull season
and we got some very good games. Just none of them happen to be
going this week. We'll have towait for the better ones here in the
new year, right right there. There might be some interesting ones from a
gaming standpoint. Is ball season somethingyou deal with or you're just kind of
(01:11):
like it's a necessary evil, oris it just something you say, Well,
you know what, there's not thatmany people that are interested in Oh
no, I'm talking about that.I'm talking about the minor minor Bulls as
opposed to you know, the Keyboys. Oh yeah, there's there's definitely interesting.
It doesn't matter, it doesn't matteryou know what the teams are.
There's there's always interested betting football, especially if you're giving people, you know,
(01:34):
games on like a Wednesday night tobet on. Absolutely both seasons.
Actually, it can be very treacherousfor handicappers because it's, uh, it's
a very busy time of the yearalready where you got you know, hockey,
both basketball's ANDFL You have all thesedifferent sports going, and now on
(01:55):
top of the normal college football handicapping, you have to be mindful of you
know, who's opting out of ballgames, who's hopping in the transfer portal.
So it's like an extra layer ontop of everything else. So yeah,
it's very uh, it can bea very treacherous time finding these ball
games, but there's definitely value tobe fine, you just really got to
(02:15):
dig it deep for it. Oneof the other deals which you which you
mentioned a second ago, was aboutwatching and being mindful and and you did
hit on all the important ones.Who's gonna lay out because they're gonna be
in the NFL draft, who's gonnabe h you know, jumping into transfer
(02:38):
portal. But there's another one,and that is that you know, it's
been for some teams a month sincethey played the last football game, and
guys who got banged up toward theend of the season can show up,
you know, in these bulls. So guys who were injured, key players
(03:01):
who were injured toward the end ofthe season are at this point could be
eligible to play in these ball games. So you have to watch that as
I would just add that to thefinalist you put together of things you have
to pay attention to when it comesto ballgames. Yeah, definitely, there's
a ton of stuff. You caneven throw a motivation on there for certain
(03:22):
teams. You know, some teamsdon't get the ball game they wanted,
so they don't try, whereas othersare just happy to be there so they
give it they're all. And youalso have situations where you got to look
at the head coaching too, right, a lot of guys are getting shired
or leaving for better jobs this timeof year, so you got to be
mindful if the team lost their coach, you know, how motivated are the
kids to finish out the bowl gameknowing, ah, you know this guy,
(03:45):
this guy abandoned us before you knowwe even pressed the bowl game,
really as most of them do.So yeah, it's definitely one of those
There's so much to watch with thesegames. That's why I say it can
be a very treacherous time, Ohfor sure, absolutely, And you know
you have to be careful and wehope that people you know, are careful
when it comes to that. Andyou know, I think the fun part
(04:11):
of the bowl games too, uhis when you get some Power five matchups
against some against some you know, group of five teams, and that's where
you get some some I mean lastyear, we know that Julane took it
to usc and uh, you knowthat was in the Cotton Bowl. So
this year, you know, there'smatchups, there's things to be found and
(04:35):
games to be played, and we'llhave to check it out. As a
matter of fact, let's talk alittle bit about tomorrow and what we got
on the calendar for tomorrow, uhin you know, in the college football
bowls for you know, Saturday, and you know there's talked about them not
(05:00):
being uh necessarily some interesting ones, but there is some interesting matchups. And
let's and this is audio which wedon't need, so let me stop it.
We don't need to note from you. Thank you very much, all
right, So here's what we got. We got a tomorrow morning, okay,
(05:23):
in Conway, South Carolina, ateleven am. It's the Myrtle Beach
Bowl. That'll be Georgia Southern againstOhio of the MAC So there. You
got that bowl eleven a m inSouth Carolina. You know you want breakfast
(05:44):
or brunch or whatever you want tocall it. There's a bowl game eleven
a m uh. That's this couldit could be the third or fourth quarter
before these two teams wake up.Yeah, this is This is a very
interesting one obviously because Ohio, youknow, they've had a quarterback for now
and heard us work and he hasdecided to hop in the transfer portal now
(06:08):
and showed his last season at anotherschool, so you know, you don't
you don't see that often, especiallywhen he's been there for four years.
But yeah, he's he's the guy, so he's not going to be playing
in this one. That that'll besomething to watch. And you know,
again speaking with the motivation thing, you got to look at this Ohio team,
(06:29):
like a lot of them peg themas the best team in the MAC
coming into the Seam, and theydidn't even make it to the MAC Championships.
So you really got to wonder isthis a game they care about winning?
They wanted to be played two weeksago, right, and they didn't
make it to that game. Soit happens. Okay, that's on ESPN
now, here's the bowl game. It's called the Celebration Bowl. It's noon
(06:53):
in Atlanta, Georgia, being playedat the Mercedes Benz Dome there. It's
on ABC. And this one alwaysis a good one. It's traditionally the
two best, you know, HBCteams, And this is Florida and m
and Howard and FAM. You hasreally done well in the past couple of
(07:17):
years. Coach Larry Scott and whathe's done there is is pretty good.
No question about Howard from Washington dC. Another fine school. So there's
this one is gonna be competitive becausethere's serious bragging rights. This is basically
the HBC National Championship Game. Yeah, it's good, good FCS matchup.
(07:44):
Personally, I don't know too muchabout these two teams, so if you're
looking to bet on the game, you know, maybe maybe finds an opinion
from somebody who knows the FCS well. But yeah, the one thing I
can't tell you about this game isFAM who's a seven point favorite coming in.
That's enough for right now. Andfam is has been over the past
(08:07):
few years one of the more dominantschools in the HBC. And and and
Howard, you know, Howard hashad its moments, and so we'll see
how it plays out for them. But that one's that one, as I
said before, is for them. It's a national championship game. It's a
(08:28):
nationally televised game, which is notdoesn't happen often, and it's a new
start. So it's you know, fam you against Howard uh noon on ABC
the New Orleans Bowl, which isat two point fifteen on ESPN, obviously
right after the Myrtle Beach Bowl.Jacksonville State and Louisiana. So traditionally this
(08:52):
has been good for the coaches andthe players because you know, a lot
of these coaches is go on toeither larger, you know, power five
jobs or to uh you know,or to a group of five jobs.
(09:13):
So this has been a good steppingstone bowl for those kind of coaches.
So there you go on that one, Yeah, go ahead. Rich Rot
has definitely been one of those hotnames thrown out all year just because of
the job he's sent at Jacksonville stated, Yeah, this is a little interesting
matchup just because obviously Jacksonville State, you gotta be thinking, has a ton
(09:35):
of motivation here that in their firstyear up from FCS that they're having they
would love to cap it off here, but this is one where, yeah,
all ball games are played on aneutral site, but you gotta paint
sometimes. You're getting the Louisiana laughfight yet playing in the New Orleans Bowl
here, so they don't even haveto leave the state and nine minute drive.
(09:58):
Yeah, and you can imagine howmany fans from each school are going
to be showing up when the majoritywill be in that one just because of
the locations. So again another thingto keep mihnd of a good point because
I'll tell you what, just likethe Celebration Bowl, they're getting to play,
you know, the stadiums that theyplay in our fine stadiums, they're
(10:20):
smaller stadiums. They're playing the CelebrationBowl in Atlanta, in you know,
in the Big Dome where the SECplays their championship game, where there's been
Super Bowls. I mean, it'sstepping in the same thing in New Orleans.
These you know, these two schoolsare been into not only a nationally
(10:45):
televised bowl game. And as yousaid, can you imagine kids from you
know, Louisiana and from Jackson Statefor that Jacksonville State for that matter,
how many games they've watched of theNew Orleans Saints or you know, other
teams playing in that stadium, andto actually now be able to get on
(11:07):
the turf out there has got tobe quite you know, quite exciting for
the players. Yeah, definitely, that's why, you know, the motivation
could definitely be a factor in thisone as well. Absolutely. Okay,
one of three bowls in the cityof Orlando starts tomorrow and that's gonna be
(11:28):
Miami of Ohio against app State inthe Cure Bowl. That obviously is the
back end of the doubleheader on ABC. That's a three point thirty kick and
it is Miami of Ohio taken onapp State. Yeah, another interesting matchup.
Like I said, you know, the games aren't great, but definitely
(11:52):
just some interesting matchups because obviously wehave Miami Ohio here, who's fat and
happy off winning the back championship, and they're playing an app State team who
feels like there's some unfinished business afterlosing in their Sun Belt Championship to Troy.
So this could be another one wherethe motivation is a big factor.
(12:15):
Let's move on. This is youknow we're talking about we're talking about you
know, home cooking, right, you don't get much more home cooking than
this one. It's the New MexicoBowl being held in Albuquerque, Fresno State,
who you know, personally, Ithink they're probably a bit pissed off
(12:37):
that they didn't do better this yeartaking on New Mexico State, you know
again a short trip for New MexicoState to play in the bowl named after
them five on ESPN. Yeah,so hilarious matchup here, just because New
(12:58):
Mexico State is the designated own teamin this right, so you know,
it just could have could have plannedthat one out a bit better. But
I think the bigger story here isthis is where it all started for for
our guide Jim, you know,he he pissed on this, uh this
new logo, yeah, all overthis field weeks ago and it sent them
(13:18):
to the to the Conference USA Championshipright now. Now, they didn't win,
but this is still, you know, a ten win team. This
is where it all started, soto be uh, it'll be interesting to
see what what Diego Pavia does hereat the Lovely Well, we'll see.
It'll be interesting to see if hepeas on the logo again. Yeah,
just for good luck. So there'sthere's that one. Maybe that's a victory
(13:41):
thing, right, Yeah, okay, I think I'm not sure that ESPN
is looking forward to that. Uhyou know, taking that shot seven thirty
Prime time the LA Bowl. Yousee La Boise State on ABC that's being
played it so far. You gottabelieve it's kind of funny because these two
(14:03):
teams are blue and the stadium ispretty blue because of the fact that the
Raiders, I'm sorry, the Ramsand the Chargers played there. It's not
as it's actually a shorter trip foru c LA to play at so Far
that it is for them to playwhere they normally play, which is at
(14:26):
the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Sothis is about fifteen minutes closer to campus.
But I don't think there may bethat many UCLA people traveling to the
to Englewood to watch the game againstBoise State. On the other hand,
I'm pretty sure, you know,Boise State, who you know, didn't
(14:46):
get the didn't win the Mountain West, it is going to be pretty geeked
out about playing UCLA. Yeah,it's funny, Jim. You took the
point right out of my mouth. With the the SOFI Stadium being closer to
the UCLA campus, yet they'll stillhave no fans show up for the game.
But uh yeah, another one herewhere pretty much the home team is
(15:09):
the designated road team somehow, anduh yeah, this is UCLA had a
very interesting end to the season.Obviously, they lost that final game against
Cal. It was a meaningless gamefor them. I mean, the whole
the whole second half of the seasonhas been pretty meaningless. Meanwhile, the
Boise State's got to be riding ahigh here, you know. They they
(15:33):
fire their head coach and then youseed to make a run to the Mountain
West Championship, which they win onthe road in Las Vegas, and they
got to be feeling great about themselves. I think obviously the players are getting
up for the coach, and thismight be one where Boise State takes down
u C l A mm hm.The last bowl of the day returned to
(15:56):
State Louisiana in Shreport where the IndependenceBowl will be played, and this one
matches the is the only matchup ofthe day of two you know, brand
name Power Five Conference teams, TexasTech representing of course the Big twelve,
CAL representing for at least a couplemore weeks the Pac twelve. They'll be
(16:22):
moving on to the ACC next year. These are two teams. Now,
Texas Tech you could say had abit of a disappointing year. I think
a lot of people thought Texas Techwould do better than they did in the
past in the Big Twelve. Meanwhile, you got cal who nobody saw heading
in to Bowl eligibility. But youknow, the Bears showed up and so
(16:52):
is this a game where cal cankind of put a cap on a better
than expected season against the Texas TechRed Raider team. Yeah, another one
where you got to look at themotivation, right, cav As You said
they weren't looking great, but theyhad a strong end to the season.
They needed to win some games, and they won those games, especially when
(17:15):
it came down to their final gameof the season. You know, they
beat a team like UCLA who hadone of the better defenses in the Pac
Twelve for most of the year.So they showed up when they needed to
show up just to make it tothis game. Meanwhile, yeah, Texas
Tech, you got to be wonderingwhere the motivation is at there, just
because they're a team that had suchhigh expectations coming into the season. You
(17:37):
lose your quarterback like three weeks in, then the injuries start piling up.
The rest of the season just completelyfalls apart on you. And then yeah,
you get to your final game whereyou played Texas and you didn't even
show up in a fifty seven toseven loss. Probably part of the raason
why you made Texas look so goodand why they got the playoff bit because
they're just blowing out teams that aren'tshutting up. Yeah, how Texas text
(18:00):
is three and a half point favoritehere beats me because I don't know what.
I don't know what their motivation wouldbe to win this game other than
maybe just to to I don't know, put make amends with with a terrible
season that was plagued by a lotof injuries. But I would think Cal
wants to win this game. Ohone. All right, so that's your
(18:22):
Bowl schedule for Day one of Bowlof bol Mania. Meanwhile, all we
have our first full slate of Saturdaygames. All of these games, by
the way, uh, should youwish to watch them, will be on
the NFL Network. So here inthe United States, I assume it's the
(18:47):
NFL network. In Canada as well, Yeah, it is the NFL network,
But I think again, it's it'slicensed by TSN to show. Okay,
so TSN gets to day, areit so? All right? The
first one to kick off at oneo'clock is all these games, by the
way, have playoff implications, whichyou know, stunning surprise there, Uh,
(19:11):
Minnesota at Cincinnati. That's the wayChris Rose on the call and Jason
mccordy doing that for the NFL Network. Minnesota Cincinnati, I think, you
know, I think that it's oneof the things. He's being played in
Cincinnati. You gotta favor I thinkyou gotta favorite Cincinnati in this one,
(19:33):
don't you. Yeah, they're athree point favored here. This is a
bit of a weird one just becauseobviously the Vikings are coming off that three
nothing win. But I think thefact that it was Nick Mullins that led
the you know, the game winningfield goal drive. You're probably gonna see
him start this week, and wedon't know what the Vikings look like with
(19:55):
Nick mullet so true, right,Like, we haven't seen him in this
off it's been you know, we'veseen Jaren Hall, we've seen Josh Dobbs,
we've seen Kirk cause we've seen everybodyin this offense. But Nick Mullins
except that one drive, So it'sgonna be very interesting. They're on the
on the road here. Obviously, the Bengals have revived life with Jake Browning
(20:15):
and it's right seven and six. They got to be thinking they can make
a wild card run here if theyrun the table and they're at home.
So yeah, this is a Thisis gonna be an interesting game to watch
for sure. I think, asyou said, big playoff implications because the
Vikings are are seven and six aswell, and they're in a much weaker
NFC, so seven and six givesthem a much better chance. They're actually
(20:37):
in a wildcard spot where the Bengalsare last in their division with the same
record. Right this one again, you know, parroting where I just said,
and that is a playoff implications. But this one, you got two
teams that are banged up and uh, two second string quarterbacks Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.
(21:03):
Richie Eisen and Kurt Warner on thecall for that one. Yeah,
so we were all over that SteelersPatriots though over last week. But I
didn't think true Biscuit was just gonnalay an egg the way he did.
Like I was on the Patriots.I thought they were gonna cover it and
even win the game, but Ididn't think they were gonna do it in
(21:25):
the fashion where Trubisky was going toturn the ball over on every place.
So that being said, I meanwe've, like I said, we've seen
them him in this offense before.I'm sure he'll bounce back. He was
also on a shorter week there, right right right. It was one of
those where he got thrown in thelast game because Picking gets injured, and
now he's he wasn't really expecting tobe starting four days later, so what
(21:48):
now he's got that extra three dayrest, so he's on like a ten
ten days to prepare. I thinkwe're gonna see a better Truebisky here.
And the Colts, you know, again, they're in that AFC. They're
said and six, but that competitiveAFC. So yeah, this home game
is definitely a must win for themif they want to. I mean,
I guess the Steelers are also sevenand six, so yeah, yeah,
(22:10):
big must win for for both ofthese teams. Obviously, the Steelers have
the better defense. The Colts can'tstop anybody, but I mean the Colts
have had a more consistent offense thisyear, so true, it could be
a very exciting game on Saturday afternoon. Well, and the other thing with
Mitch is he's gonna he's had ofthat ten day layoff. He's had seven
(22:30):
days of practice with the with thefrontline team, which he would not have
had when Kenny Pickett was there,So that might help him too. The
nightcap Saturday Night is Detroit hosting Denveragain NFL Network. Kevin Harlan making trip
(22:51):
over to do that game for NFLNetwork along with Trent Green. Gotta say,
I love these Saturday games, JimLike. They may not be the
sexy Men, but they're definitely excitingmatchups from uh, from a standpoint of
what these teams need to do.You don't really have any teams that are
dead in the water here, andand you know, look at uh look
(23:12):
at the Broncos here. If theChiefs lose another game and the Broncos keep
winning, you could have the Broncoswinning the AFC West over the Chiefs.
And I think they know that andthat they're playing obviously, you know,
one of the hottest teams in theNFL right now. They actually come in
as a four and a half pointdog against the Lions, who have slowly
(23:33):
been unraveling over the last month. So it'll be interesting. It's a good
thing they got those those nine winsearly in the season because it might just
be enough to win the division. At this point, they have a pretty
stronger schedule coming down the line.So yeah, that'd be all right.
Let's move to Sunday. Let's goto the CBS games first. These are
(23:57):
your one o'clock games. The arein Miami, and you know what,
back a couple of weeks ago, three or four weeks ago, we might
have said, you know, theJets, you know, don't even have
a prayer against Miami this week. And this time, you know, Miami,
(24:21):
the Jets defense is playing pretty good, and we'll have to see Miami's
had some trouble with good defenses.Jim Nanson, Tony Romo on the call.
Yeah, it'll be an interesting game. I will say, I think
it's an awful spot for the Jetsjust because a little bit of a little
bit of recency bias with the wayZach Wilson, you know, destroyed the
(24:44):
Texans at home. Sure, nowthey're gonna go on the road and bake
it in the Miami sun. Thereon the sideline, not to mention the
fact that you're getting a Dolphins teamthat is coming off a loss at home
in the worst possible fashion, avery close in a game they were leading.
So you know they're just gonna bepissed off here they're at home again.
(25:06):
This might just be a you know, they they laid it on them
two weeks ago or three weeks agoon on Black Friday. This could be
another game that's very similar to that. Man Tampa Bay on the road at
Green Bay, Baker Mayfield and theboys traveling up there to Green Bay.
It's not gonna be snowy. It'llbe chilly, it'll be windy, but
(25:27):
it's not gonna be not gonna bea problem. Now, Baker played in
Cleveland, so I'm not you know, I don't think he's too adverse to
playing in the in the in thebad weather. So we'll have to check
that out. But that game isat Green Bay. It's again, it's
on CBS. Are Andrew Carloan,Tiki, Barbara Matt Ryan on the call
(25:51):
for CBS. Yeah, no playfor me on this one. I mean
I would lead the Packers at home, but I don't think I really don't
think they're a good team. AndI'm sitting with a Buccaneers ticket to win
the NFC South, so I needthem to win this game. I'm just
gonna sit back with my NFC Soeuthticket and hope for the best year and
(26:12):
pray for you. Pray for it. Okay, here we go h Houston,
Tennessee. Spirodidas and Adam Arshall Lettaon that game for CBS. You
know, without CJ. Stroud,Houston is just an average team. Yeah,
(26:32):
it'll be interesting because they they obviouslythey've been we feel like they've been
overachieving this year right with the waythat their young players are playing, their
overperforming. But David is tracking well, I mean they're tracking, you know,
to a point where you're gonna say, well, you know, Houston's
gonna have to be a team tobe reckoned with. But they're in a
division where there are a bunch ofteams are like that. Yeah, and
(26:55):
it's one of those things where youknow, the Texans, you don't know
what the team they're gonna be withoutc J. Stroud just because is that
going to take Is the locker roomgoing to take a hit because their quarterback's
not there, right, Maybe they'rea little bit deflated, or maybe maybe
they rallied behind Davis Mills. Theyknow what they've had it and then he
had a full season last year andit wasn't ruffult. So so he's definitely,
(27:19):
you know, competent starter. Maybethey look at it like, hey,
we we were still in this. It's just one game. Let's rally
behind them. So, yeah, this is gonna be an interesting game,
especially the way they got embarrassed bythe Jets of all teams last week.
So it seems though CJ. Stroud, you know, he has he's had
some trouble against these younger quarterbacks becauseif you look at their their losses right
(27:44):
now, they lost their Bryce younggave them their only win of the season.
He's gonna lost to Zach Wilson andand the Jets. So college,
yeah, yeah, I don't know. Something something to think about there.
He seems he seems to he beatsthe veterans, right, but he can't
beat the can't beat you. Iwas gonna say his his fellow classmates,
(28:10):
right, all right, excuse me, San Francisco are super Bowl team at
your Arizona Cardinals? Yeah, Imean, don't even ask me about this
one. All right, well we'llpass. You know, I hate the
Cardinals, Andrew Carlone, Tiki Barber, Matt Ryan. By the way,
(28:33):
just in case you want to,this is definitely a friends and family game
because only the state of Texas, and by the way, not all the
state of Texas and basically the Nashvillepart of Kentucky and most of Tennessee will
get this game. That's the onlypart of the country they're going to see
(28:53):
it. So, as I said, this is not not a lot of
people watching that game. Houston andTennessee, and of course the game's being
played in Nashville. We've talked aboutSan Francisco and Arizona. You know that
going to be an interesting game, and this one, I'll tell you what,
I'm sure that most of the countrywill be watching this. Washington at
(29:15):
the Rams, that's the late game, the other late game on the on
CBS. McCarthy, Tommy McCarthy makinga trip down from from Philadelphia. No,
actually that's they're they're out. They'replaying a game out in Sofi.
So Tom McCarthy flying out there.James Lofton and Jay Feely on the call
on CBS that's your game on theLake game. I don't think there's much
(29:41):
that needs to be said about thatone. I like the Rams, That's
what I'll say. I like theFair enough in six and a half.
You know, they have something toplay for. The Commanders that think of
giving up on the season. Heck, maybe they'll be in Virginia with the
Wizards in the Capitols Cup next year. Yeah. I mean, I wouldn't
catch that ticket to of Wizards inthe Capitol's Court of Virginia yet. That's
(30:03):
uh, that's one of those lovelypossibilities. But don't not so fast.
Kansas City at New England, that'sthe A game on Sunday for Fox Joe
Davis and Moose. Darryl Johnson ison the call for that one. How
is anything Patriots a game? Idon't know, but that's where they're sending
(30:30):
Joe and Darrylso that's what it is. I mean, I don't know what
to say about this. I mean, Kansas City wouldn't I mean, I
guess it's better than Giants Saints, but I don't know why they wouldn't want
to. You know, highlight cutletfever. Funny that you would bring that
up because that's the next game onthe list. Yeah. Yeah, that's
one of those ones where you knowif you're if you catch it, it'll
(30:55):
be on the red zone. Youdon't want to actually think. I guess
they want the tailors with Action onFox. That's definitely what it is.
But honestly, I think you'd getbetter ratings with Cutlet fever right now.
Just saying right wouldn't necessarily be athing. New York Giants mister DeVito heads
(31:18):
to New Orleans. Kenny Albert JonathanVilma on that call. Yes, mister
Cutlet's and his agent Gelato, We'reready to go. It's funny. Yeah,
this one, this one, I'mI'm gonna lay it with the Saints.
I think that this is a gamewhere the Saints they haven't looked great,
(31:41):
but you know, they blew outthe Panthers last week. I know
the Panthers are trash, but Ithink I don't think the Giants are a
great team. Yeah, they've wonthree straight and they have a little hype
behind them now with with Cutlet Feverthere, mister Tommy DeVito, But again,
I was all over the Giants tobeat the Packers on Monday, now
I think this is the spot tofade him. He's his last three games.
(32:06):
So they won their three straight, but they played, uh was the
Packers they beat not a good team. They beat the Patriots, not a
good team. And then the oneroad game he played in they beat the
Commanders, not a good team. And you know, Washington not a great
environment. Now he's starting on theroad in the Caesars Super DOMEE a little
(32:29):
bit of a different environment here,a whole lot of different from that standpoint.
Here's what again, I was gonnaask you in this game, I
would depend upon the number. Ithink the Unders probably the way to go
in this, don't you. Imean these two teams have good defenses.
(32:50):
Yeah. New Orleans has a gooddefense. Yeah, I mean the Giants
have been playing better defense lately forsure. Yeah. True. The totals
in this one is thirty nine. And I'll be honest with you, there's
multiple games this week with totals inthe thirties. If I'm just counting them
quickly. Here one, two, three, four, five, six,
(33:14):
Six games on Sunday have totals inthe thirties. Plus the Thursday night game
was a thirty four and a halfso yeah, we have some very low
totals this week. It seems likethe books think there's going to be a
lot of hundreds. Speaking of underChicago at Cleveland, Kevin Coogler Mark Sanchez
(33:35):
on that one Cleveland, I mean, Cleveland's been playing well, Joe Flacco
at quarterback. This is one ofthose games where Cleveland needs to win.
We already said earlier in the weekthat we thought that they have a chance
to be one of the teams thatlands in a playoff spot and they need
(33:57):
to beat teams like Chicago to getthere. Yeah, another one of these
games with the total in the thirties. But yeah, definitely, the Browns
are in the best position to makethe playoffs right now because they have the
game up on all the other wildcard teams, and really this is their
chance before they start finishing the divisionschedules, so they need to really in
(34:19):
case they drop any of those games, they need to win this game.
And on the bright side for them, you got a quarterback that's playing for
his career right now. You know, he thought he was gonna be on
the couch all year. Now he'sbeen given the chance and he's gonna play
and from what I hear with thecontract that the Browns just gave him so
nobody could sign him off their practicesquad, there's actually an incentive there for
(34:42):
game. Every time he wins agame, he gets an extra seventy five
grand or something like that. Sowell, Joe's I mean, in fairness
to you know, to those outthere wondering wild that's is really nice that
Joe's doing this and picking up theextra cash. Joe could have said on
his ouch and collected you know,he's already you know, cash checks worth
(35:04):
approximately ninety million dollars. So youknow, I like to see it because
I like Joe. He's a niceguy, and he's a he's a good
dude. So from that standpoint,it is from a standpoint of whether he
makes seventy five, one thousand orseventy five dollars, I really don't care
about that part, but I docare to see him win, and this
(35:27):
will be a good opportunity. Atlantais in, you know, just like
the Bucks and the Saints. They'rein must wins the whole way, the
rest of the way. They're inCarolina this week. Adam a Man and
Mark Schlareth on the Call for Foxshould be interesting how how that works with
Atlanta at Carolina. Yeah, especiallysince these two met up in the first
(35:53):
game of the season this year andobviously the Falcons won that one in a
big way. So these two teamsare very different though at this point in
the year. So it's gonna beinteresting to see. Obviously we've had not
not the same coach for the Panthersand the Falcons have, you know,
bench two different quarterbacks up to thispoint. So right, yeah, neither
(36:17):
team is playing. Can do rightthere you go? All right? The
Lake game on Fox is is wehad a one o'clock A game. The
A game, which is a doubleheader game is Dallas at Buffalo. That's
Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen on thecall for that game. Yeah, that's
(36:38):
probably the game of the Sunday Imean from a matchup standpoint, there's not
really two elite teams like that goingunless you want to count the Sunday night
game. But I would think,God, this one's this one's a little
bit better. I think, yeah, I think it's you know, it's
got it's got teams that people know. I don't think a lot of people
(36:58):
who want who are not know thecasual fans. No much other than who
Lamar Jackson is, I'm I'm Baltimore, and who you know, said Trevor
Noah. Trevor Lawrence is the quarterbackat jack Jacksonville. So the games being
played at Jacksonville, Okay, Sundaynight. The one thing I will say,
(37:19):
and this is there's gonna be somedicey weather coming into the East coast,
uh specifically into Florida, and uhit's it's some serious rain and wind,
which would have been an issue forTampa Bay had they played that game,
(37:40):
you know, at home against againstthe folks from from Green Bay.
But Jacksonville and Baltimore is just keepan eye out. If you're going to
bet that game, keep an eyeout for the rain and for the weather
itself because that could be a factorin the game against Baltimore. Yeah,
(38:05):
definitely. Well we'll have to see. I mean that it is going to
be a good game. Those twoare probably the best game. So they
didn't they didn't give us a clunkeron the Sunday night. Well they flexed
that one. That was the firstone they flexed. Yeah, okay,
so perfect. That's that's why we'regetting Uh, we're getting a good one.
But then again, I mean, you know the Thursday the Thursday night
last night was it was a falseclunker, So who would have who would
(38:29):
have thought that? Okay, theChargers, you know, score three points
in that game against the Raiders, and they scored sixty three points last night.
See, I kind of thought thegame would be an over because I
(38:50):
thought there was going to be anover correction. Right, there's there's such
a well you were right about that. Yeah, Well that's the thing.
Recency bias is a big thing, especially in the NFL. So everybody's gonna
see that three nothing game and they'regoing to automatically bet under for both the
Raiders and the Vikings this week.Sure, but you know when a team,
especially from the Raiders standpoint, whena team gets shut out, you
(39:14):
have to expect a response. Theseare professional players, so sixty three is
a little bit much. I don'tthink anybody on the planet had sixty three
to twenty one exact score in thatone. But I will say thank you
Raiders, because you know, Iwas able to catch some some some live
bets in that one. When Isaw them go at fourteen to nothing,
(39:34):
I said, it's gonna be thatkind of game. Let me just start
taking Raiders. They'll take some JacobiMeyers, some Davante Adams in time touchdown,
got plus two sixty on both andyeah, eventually, eventually they got
there. It took a while becausethey scored hand handing the ball to every
Brandon Bolden gets a touchdown. EveryRaider got a touchdown. Given the defense.
(39:55):
A couple of the cheerleaders got touchdowns. Yeah, I'm s as we
didn't like dress and they loved theinterim coach so much. I'm surprised we
didn't put out there. And soyou're not playing lineback at this time?
You go ahead, right, takeit in from a yard out? Yeah,
that would be That would have beenwild. But yeah, it was.
(40:20):
It was one of those games whereone team, in the case of
you know, they they broke theover themselves. They didn't have to worry
about it. Some interesting stuff allright straight where the total was over by
halftime. Oh man, that's that'sjust crazy. All right, big weekend
(40:42):

and you know, gang, wehope that you do it because it makes
sense. Give the gift of amideisfor stocky stuffers. Go ahead and buy

weekend long. So check out somegolf if you want to see Charlie and
(43:00):

get setting to watch that game.Is I'm sorry that tournament talking about the
fact that Charlie may have a betterscore at the end of the day than
his father, But but we'll seehe's played, He's played well at that
