Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is going on? Everybody? Welcome struck up your quick
beer reviews with your pals, Allan and Rapi Day and
Rapi Day.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm Alan. How's it going, buddy?
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Fine? What's up?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I don't know, bus be just I'm not going to
read the text.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Oh god, it's probably offensive as hell. All right, Uh,
Thursday night football is going on right now, but we're
knocking out some beer reviews. We've got Armor Brewing Donk
Doaka Naka, Octoberfest Mars and.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
The only thing I have on this is it's six
point two percent alcohol by volume.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
That's correct.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
I avere score three point seventy eight out of five
on untapped out of four hundred and sixty six reviews.
So this is something that they've done multiple times, obviously,
because it just came out. Uh, there's nothing on their
website about it. There's there's nothing anywhere about it.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
We'll give you a hard portes so let it, you know,
so you can see that thing a little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I mean, look at that head. Nice looking head, nice
looking color, looks beautiful.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
I know you're waiting for these margins to come around.
Don't do any any your phone real quick, because I
am gonna take a quick picture again because mine's on
the charge. We use it actually on TikTok and stuff.
So and I know you love TikTok.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Hey don't, don't, dude, we're picking up State on TikTok.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Alright, football one. The can looks amazing, it says, brood
by veterans, enjoyed by everyone you have Alan or excuse me,
armor brewing brood and packaged with prestige and at nine
prestige prestige worldwide. No, I don't think it's like boats.
Uh see me. I try to zoom in like it
(01:22):
was a phone. Yea veteran owned business Texas Craft Brewers Guild.
By choosing armor, you are making a difference. A portion
of all proceeds support veterans, first responders and children charities.
Are you okay?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
It's really cool. I love that can, the skeleton with
the leader hos it on yep. Oh yeah, with the
big tall steint oh body love it. Uh been by
there a couple of times, haven't actually stopped in yet.
Got to make my way up there. I even told
Lizzie because it was like she saw this show total
wine in Lewisville. Okay, I was up there, you know what,
total wine plano plan. We were out there. We just
(01:58):
got back into town from Oklahoma, and I was like,
we should have stopped there or whatever. Just goes, Hey,
look at this beer right here. And so it was
in the cooler already it was cold. I was like,
that's pretty cool. Can let's go. So I threw it
in the thing you had me at Marsin And I always,
I always say I like to wait for Marsons. I
like to wait October for that because it's a little
bit for me. September is a little bit different than October.
(02:19):
I like fest beers in September, but I like Marsins
in October because that's when I knock them all out.
I don't drink Marsins past I don't know, no middle
of November.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
If I got it, I'll drink it. Cheers and also good.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Things, yeah, buddy, yeah. And that's why I kind of
stay away from Marsin's, just because of the fact that
one I want, not one. But look at this. I
mean I love the color, the collar color, and the
beautiful head on it. Beautiful. But it's like some Marsins
you'll have, they'll they'll be maybe a little bit sweet
(02:52):
the caramel, yeah, and whatnot. And so I'm just like, yeah,
give me Halloween October first to October thirty. That's when
I want to drink them all. And we do go
through some serious beers, drink a lot, but but yeah,
that's when I like my Mars's. But I saw this
jumped off the shelf. I go, that's it. It's it's
that's who's that?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
But Williams Chavonte Williams with.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
The TV two touchdowns tonight, Yeah, told you so. But yeah, no,
this man, you talk about box checker. It's so damn good.
Look at the clarity on this thing.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
It looks, it looks great, great, tastes great, it checks
all the boxes. I'm actually looking at this and I'm
looking at this three point seven to eight score on it,
and I go, that's pretty damn low.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Why I wonder why they got a little bit low
on there.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
But I mean, again, different years, different iterations, right, they
do something different every year.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, I would assume so. So. Marsin is additional German amberlogger,
characterized by its rich, malty and toasty flavor with clean,
dry finished malt, moderate bitter and a smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel. Yeah.
Check chack chack check check, you know what I mean.
And the toasted you know, definitely little toast going on here.
It's not very sweet though, I'll take I'll say that
(04:11):
it's not overly sweet. It's not too rich either, nice
little malt flavor to it. The color is obviously beautiful.
It typically has a bright, deep amber or reddish copper color. Check.
A bready malty aroma and no significant hop aroma. Not
getting any hops here. It's just it's it's all malt
(04:31):
all uh, you know, whatever words words toasty, flavor, malty.
It's toasty. It's malty, and that's what you get. You
don't get any It's not like you know, we had
an ipa earlier and it was just overload hop right.
It was the West Coast style. So this one is
more of a just a little bit more of a
(04:52):
chill drink. Right.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I'm definitely enjoying it, for sure, I really like it.
I'm sitting here and I'm looking and like the last
like five check ins on this are all four plus, right, So.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Whatever it was, I figured it out.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
There's this one jackass in here who gave it like
a three seven five. Jesus Scott Spurgeon, you're you don't
know what about? Oh god, he actually got it on
tap at the brewery.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
I mean, three seven five is not a bad score
three days ago? What do you dog? What are you
dog cussing him for?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I just think it's better than that, Okay? Can I
not think the beer is better than that?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
You can.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I think it's really good. I think it's really delicious.
I think this is a.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Beer that you're drink and you go, man, I want
more of this. I want to put them all in
my mouth and enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
So you're supposed to have a rich, bready and toasty notes.
Obviously you have a clean finish on that, which is fine,
it's good.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
I don't know, man, send me stuff, don't worry about.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
It, Like why are they try? Not that funny. But yeah,
it's like the flavor of clean, rich, toasty, ready flavor,
ready malt flavor. You're getting any bread there or just
more maltiness maltiness. But it's really good. I'm obviously gonna
(06:15):
have a medium body, smooth, crisp, refreshing.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Yeah, like especially for like a Marsan, like not saying
that like it's just really really smooth, It's really delicious,
really flavorful. I'm really enjoying this, and like I'm I'm
gonna go like a four two five on this. To
be honest with you, I really enjoy this. I'm really
liking it. I want to put more of this in
my mouth.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, and just just keep I got a sixer of it.
Like I said, at Plano Total one, I think it
was like ten bucks, you know what I mean. I
was like, that was completely.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Ras steel you've ever gotten in your entire.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Life, Completely reasonable. I do want to go up to
Armor because it's not far from here, about thirty minutes
down the road I suppose now. They are actually located
off of was a nine prestine Sir Prestige Circle. Allen,
Texas actually open right now until ten pm, so it
looks like they're open every day of the week. So
(07:12):
Monday three to ten, Tuesday eleven to ten, Wednesday eleven
and ten, uh, same with Thursday days. Do stay open
a little bit later on Friday and Saturday to eleven,
which is nice, and then ten pm on Sundays.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
That's pretty late for a brewery. Most breweries will close
at ten like just.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Kind of depending, you know, but if you're in a
good area with a lot of stuff going on, you
might still open a little bit later. Yeah, you know,
it looks like they're in like a nice little area.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I mean, we've been to a few breweries where they close,
but we're able to stay in there because we know, Yeah,
they just want to hang out or get they.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Get rid of all the randos and they're like, hey,
you guys, don't.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Don't go anywhere. You guys want to hang out and drink.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
I just want to hang out.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I like to I like to have a couple of beers,
you know.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
I like to drink a little names Allen, and I
like the party. But yeah, I'm a fortune five on this.
I really enjoy this.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Not only anything, this beer is good, but it's good
for you. I mean, obviously you look at the can.
A skeleton is going to come back to life so
they can drink this beer. So that tells you everything.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Yeah, same for me. It's definitely well above average. Four
and a quarter. Like I said, I love the color.
I love the color of the can, the can art
or whatever that dark dark colors what threw it off
the shelf for me? But yeah, the skeleton with the steins,
it's got the shades of it's you know, it's hot,
it's gonna be sunny down here.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
He where's the sunglasses at night? Because he's cooler than you.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Deal with it.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Yeah, I know this beer is delicious, it's good, it's
good for you. Cool and get you some and if
you've already had it, let us know what you think.
Where are you at on marsins?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Are you September? Are you October?
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I'll drink it whenever I can get my filthy mits
on it. Let us know me. I'll drink it anytime,
any time, any place, anywhere. You tell me where and.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
I'll be there.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Oh, you need me to show up at Harry Hines
at like two o'clock in the morning, I'm there.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
It's drinking Mars and it's had some fun. But that's
always guys.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
I'm Allen Marty.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
