(00:03):
Ringo yes hello. Today I wantto share with you the monster, a
story that tells how two children narrate, how they live with a monster.

(00:30):
My name is Rosario and my brotheris Carlos. I' m ten and
eight. I like spaghetti a lotof tomato sauce. I put a long
one between my lips and drink themnonstop like a vacuum cleaner. My brother,
the most he likes is the onewho loves the chica, especially when

(00:51):
they put chocolate on it and groundalmonds. We live with a monster.
It' s horrible. He's strong and tall. He spits foam
through his mouth and on many occasionshis eyes dye red. When we started
going to school, we took apicture of the monster to the teacher.

(01:15):
He told us that we had alot of imagination and that if we closed
our eyes and stayed still and breatheddeeply, surely the monster would leave forever.
The next day, while we wereeating unintentionally I spilled the glass of
milk, then he appeared furious, the monster lifted his claws and pushed me.

(01:41):
My brother started crying and pushed himtoo. We told my grandmother about
the show and she told us thatwhen the monster showed up again, what
we had to do was sing hera song, a retahila that taught us
Gretaila said that smelly dragon' seyes bug, grab yourself, worm,

(02:08):
lion roaring, caraton monster touched apint of bully. Tonight we ask you
to sleep on the balcony. I' m sure when I hear it,
when I hear this song, themonster will run away forever. And so

(02:28):
we did. The monster showed upand we sang the song to him,
but my grandmother was wrong. Itwas worse than we thought. After singing
the song, those of us whoslept on the balcony were lucky we were
both together, because that night weslept hugging each other. My mom.

(02:52):
My mom sees the monster, too. He bought us a TV and put
it in my room. When it' s done, it looks like she
locks us in the room and tellsus to turn up the TV' s
volume to the maximum. We knowthat it is so that we do not
hear the wings of the beast.I' ve told a lot of people

(03:14):
about the monster, but my brotheris smaller. Not on Christmas break,
the monster showed up every day.Yesterday we went to school, my mom
wouldn' t let us out ofthe room. This time we didn'
t get television. We feel themonster screaming and hitting. We heard strange

(03:39):
noises and my mother kept telling himto leave and leave us alone. My
mother is very brave. My brotherand I, under the bed, began
to sing the retahila that Grandma hadtaught us and this time the monster did
make us. He stopped screaming andbanging on the walls and foaming through his

(04:03):
mouth. And now, we livewith my grandmother and the monster only shows
up when we don' t sleep. But if he wakes you up,
he' s gone again.
