Penélope es una dinosauria que va a clase por primera vez. Tiene las inquietudes habituales del primer día y se hace las mismas preguntas que se hacen todos antes de comenzar un curso nuevo. Pero Penélope se lleva una sorpresa: sus compañeros son niños y a ella le encantan los niños; así que se los come. La profesora le pide que los escupa, porque «los niños no se comen». A partir de ese momento la historia se va desarrollando hasta el desenlace inesperado que nos provocará a todos una sonrisa duradera y nos hará reflexionar sobre cómo nos enfrentamos a nuevas situaciones y cómo nos relacionamos con nuestros iguales.
