Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hey, everybody, and welcome to Superheroes Speak. I'm your host, Dave.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I'm the other guy on here all the time. Don
and Don, Don, we got someone down there.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Oh hey, it's I prefer being a bottom, So.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Let me start with the dirty jokes. The dirty he
brings the dirty jokes people, that's why we love them.
All right, and tonight, what are we talking about? Don?
I don't remember what I sent an email. We got
some oh, okay, here we go. We got some oh,
you weren't joking. We got some Superman news related to Peacemaker.
(00:54):
We got a little bit of brand new day news
about the Hulk and uh rumor about doomsday that we've
been talking about. And of course, yes, and then of
course the Great Terrence Stamp we'll talk about him passed away.
But yeah, and then I had an idea. A bunch
of new movies came out. We haven't done this in
a while, and we'll talk about our top three. Keep
(01:17):
it to three, because then we'll be here for hours.
Superhero our comic book or superhero movies. We'll save that
for the end. Sound like a good show, guys, We're
gonna have fun. I like it, Okay, How is everyone doing, Tim,
We haven't talked to you in a while. What's new
in your world? You were just at a big awards ceremony.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah, last Friday, my wife and I or I and
my wife. We're at the National Cartoonist Society of Ruben
Awards in Boston and only one island, so it's about
an hour away and tuxas and gowns and I had
the tuks on and I just want to clear that up. Okay,
(01:58):
was just it was fantastic. I'm still recovering from it.
It was two hundred dollars a plate met and Cocktail
HOURL was the place to be because actually cocktail hour
and a half, because when I could meet these heroes
of mine, of which all of them I couldn't get to,
which was frustrating in and of itself, but because it's
(02:21):
more of the name that you look for as opposed
to what they look like. It's not like you're looking
for Rod Robert de Niro and you don't look like
and stuff like that. But so I had to look
for the names, and that so I met You may
have seen my pictures. I saw. I met Jerry Scott
from Zits and Baby Blues he is the one half
of that. He was fantastic. I met Lynn Johnston she
(02:42):
for better or for Worse. I met She's I can't
even think of all these people that I met, but
it was just so awesome. And I was surprised because
a lot of people recognized me in Solur Grapes, which
was just blew me away. People were coming out to me, Oh,
just I've always wont to meet you and stuff like that.
So here I am at the next level of my
(03:03):
illustrious career getting that because it used to be who
the fuck are you? But and that's my family but
sitting there but no, it was just it was like
being at the oscars. It was just dinner and stage
and huge screens and lots of fun, lots of photos.
(03:23):
Almost all of the New England chapter. There's chapters in
the National Cartoons Society is part of the New England chapters,
so they were all there. We got to take group
shots and stuff, and then there was a brunch the
next morning and I got to meet even more people.
I met Brian Walker, mort Walker's son from Beatle Bailey.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Oh and that was one of my favorites.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
And I saw him go in the buffet line for
the breakfast, and I was like, I'm going to meet
him before I leave. So I'd got in his way
and almost made him spill his coffee and I got
to talk to Shirt. But what was really he is
he would go with his two sons and all three
of them work on the strip. Now, oh wow, it's
really so they all write the gags and the two
(04:09):
sons I think they draw it and he helps draw
it and stuff like that. So it's a family legacy
for them, and I thought that was really cool. So
all in all, Oh and Joe Stayton that did Dick
Tracy and work for Marvel in DC. Yeah, he's one
hundred and ten. This guy, now, he's he was really cool.
I've met him before and they had these almost like
free comic book day comics out, but one with Dick Tracy.
(04:32):
So I grab one, ha him sign it and I
would chatted for a while, you stare with his wife.
Super super nice guy, and so it was just the
whole experience was just awesome. So that was the seventy
ninth ann Virgin. Next year's obviously the eightieth, and it's
in Ohio and so I got to save my money
I really want to go to that one.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Don's couch.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
I get it had a blow up mattress.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I gotta know. I got to blow up self blow
up California king size at Me and my wife use
for camping. We're not small people, so we have to
make sure and we both like sleep. I am two
hours north of Columbus. With that said, it's absolutely on
the table.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Okay, I might look into that. All I have is
a blow up doll, so not very comfortable to sleep on,
but just the same.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Oh and if you're allergic to dogs and a cat
otherwise no other hand.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
No I'm not. I have a big Great Pyrenees that
is basically an area rug, so.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Not a problem, not a problem.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
But yeah, to round that off, it was a great
experience and I loved it. And it's sad that it's
all over, but it was fine.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Next year you'll be nominated, right, I.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Hope, So, I really do. I've been submitting for oh
I don't know a few years now, but with them
it's a little bit of a irking for me because
you don't have to be a member to submit, and
you also do need to be a member to be
at the rewards so this is they're trying to get
more people to join, and so I get that, but
(06:16):
so you're competing against some guy from Slovakia. Yeah, and
there some woman and people that win deserve it. And
sometimes it's the same people getting nominated every year, which
I get because that happens in the movies and TV
and stuff. That's fine. But yeah, maybe someday they'll have
a I'll have a chance to get in there. And
(06:38):
if you're nominated, if don and I could vote for you,
Oh that's nice, Thank you so much. That's true.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
And like you're saying that, like they don't you don't
even need to be part of the society there. So yeah,
that's like salt level of someone else winning the state lottery,
but they don't live in the state. It's like some
of them fair.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah. If there's two guys from Islands, Me and Will Henry,
who does Wallace the Brave And I've known Will, I
knew well when and he's as far as I'm concerned,
he's the next Calvin and Hobbs. I just I'm so
proud of him. If you look at my pictures on it,
he's he's six foot seven, So I'm like up to
his crotch, So hugging is real, really no, but so yeah,
(07:25):
and you get on the committees for voting, so they
do it in levels. Yeah, so sometimes I'll get on.
Of course I can't get on the category of newspaper
comic strip, but they have other categories will new England chapter,
will get Variety and Newspaper panel or something like that,
or web comic. Webcomic is actually a category that go
(07:48):
figure and and then it goes up to the next level,
and then it goes on to almost like an executive
level committee where nobody knows what they're voting on.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Right.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
It's a process, and so it's not like the public
votes like popular some of those award shows. So this
is the Academy voting and stuff like that. And you're
not allowed to lobby. You can't lobby if you can't
say you can't do that, because I wouldn't say it
just like that to make people feel sorry for me,
(08:19):
which they normally do anyway.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
So it's seeming like Don Big and his wife, I
know it, man, And how about you, sir Don?
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah, yeah, we got to make a note, Dave. Whenever
we do this segment where you ask how we're doing.
Start with me, because following up tim is this is
not going to happen. It's not gonna be as good.
Yeah I'm doing okay, but the wife's down in Dallas
doing our massage therapist thing. Uh, and like tonight is
(08:48):
the very last night before the kids go back to school.
So I'm just dealing with all that by myself, which listen,
I do. I do a lot of the things around here,
just not normally alone, I guess. And yeah, that's there,
you have it. That's what I've been dealing with.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
So I am so glad the days of getting my
kids ready for the first day of school or way behind.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah, man, at this point in life, get up at
six as opposed to seven fifty, which is ten minutes
before the log and the work.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
The girlfriend that took her one son up to school
today because he has to work. He works at the school.
He's like one of those upper classmen that like take
the freshmen around and on the tour and everything and
do the tours for perspective students and so yeah, it's
funny because his classes start Monday, but he has to
work to He was like, I gotta go back. Yeah,
(09:40):
it's I don't have anything going on. I started another painting.
It's this one's actually a project. It's something different. It's
three painting, three one painting over three panels. That's all
I'm going to say about it. It's something that I've
had an idea for painting.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Is a really good day?
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Oh thanks?
Speaker 3 (09:59):
I see them on Facebook and stuff and is it
acrylic or is it oil?
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Oil?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Actually some of them are a mixture of acrylic and oil,
but for the most part it's what.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Oh, you're mixed? Not even doing that?
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, even I posted the Haunted House one that I
did so the under the underpainting is all in Jesso,
which is an acrylic. The black that the house was
done in black, and then I did gray in the
sky and then went over it with oil colors.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yes, wasn't that an ice cream that.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Now you're thinking of what is that? The Italian? You're
thinking of the Italian like the little creamy stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Oh, gelato, gelato, there you go, the same.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
You don't want to eat Jesso. It's an oil. It's
an acrylic based paint.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
It's a great.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Thron says draw me like one. Are your French curls Dave. Yeah,
I did an Italian, not a French. Oh boy, we're
on fire tonight here, even with the audience. Oh yeah,
that's how we're all doing. Oh wait, do we want
to talk about the box office stuff? So this kind
(11:11):
of this will tie into other stuff later on. We've
been talking about this is Superman as of this at
five hundred and ninety seven million, they might hit six
hundred before the before it leaves theaters where HBO Max.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Oh I, I didn't even know.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Yes, we got an article about that, and we'll talk
about that in a minute. And then currently Fantastic Four
as of the stream is at four hundred and seventy
one point seven million. Eh, it's doing okay. I don't
know if it's going to do much better than that.
It's which is a shame. Did you see Fantastic Four?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Tim, Yes, I want to see it again and again
and again at least four times. Oh okay, okay, I
loved it, just in real Yeah, it's a really good movie.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
But I just think after the last two Marvel movies,
people are like gunshy to go see it.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yeah, yeah, I agree, but I think they've pulled themselves
out of their hips, so to speak, as my wife says,
and I just loved it. It just felt so like
Marvel's back kind of things. So yeah, herbie references and
just it was just great.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
I think it worked too because it was in a
different universe, so you didn't have to see five other
Marvel movies that have this one makes.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Sense based in the sixties.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yeah, yeah, all right, land up being said, I bet

are a sweatshirt that would be fun.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Actually, it's funny because after I got it up and running,
ordered a shirt for the girlfriend because she wanted there's
tie die options now too, which we didn't have on
the on Spring and she loves tied I shirt, so
she ordered me one. I'm like, oh good, that's a test.
See how long it takes. And it shipped out in
a couple of days, so hopefully if she will have
it truly, we'll see how it looks. But yeah, if
(14:39):
you want to buy something, check out the link. Cool.
All right, let's get the news. Okay, So the first
thing that we're going to talk about Terrence Stamp, and
of those who are not familiar with him, he played
general Zod in the original Superman movies and believe he
was Jurel on Smallville and he passed away this past
week the age of eighty seven. Yeah, here's the funny thing.
(15:03):
I know, I've seen him in other movies and TVs
and so shows and stuff.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Like Phantom, Menace, Chancellor Valor.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
That's right. But see, I can only picture him as Zod.
Isn't that weird?
Speaker 2 (15:14):
No, it's not that weird because that's he's like in
his prime and I yea and as a kid like
that was probably the one of the most seen Superman movies.
It was always played on like some I don't know,
Chicago WGN eight o'clock movie stuff and just before it's
just still get a lot of dogs every now and
(15:34):
then about Rol looks at me weird, but it's it's cool,
And it's actually one of the reasons I do enjoy
Man of Steel with Michael Shanna, and he plays Zod.
I think he brings the energy, the Terrence stamp Side energy.
So I think that's one of the reasons I liked
that movie a whole lot more than everyone else seemed to.
(15:54):
But yeah, just and then, I don't know, he's in
Star Wars. He's good there, it's awesome, great gat to
see him. It's not his prime, but yeah, I don't know.
The odd character really stuck when you thought of this.
Everything else just seemed like a what they called Easter
egg or something general. And was he not in one
of the Star Treks as well? It wasn't everybody.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
So I want to say I saw him in a
hearted House movie or something like.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Was he Haunted Mansion?
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Yeah? Was he in Haunted Mansion?
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (16:27):
It was he the Butler or something like that. He
was I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
I just pulled up his movie list. That's why I was.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Yeah he was the new one not or was he
in Eddie Murphy's.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
One two thousand and three? So Eddie Murphy?
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Yeah, okay, I knew I saw him there.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yeah, Oh that's right. He was in Yes Man. He
was the guru the telling saying you always have to
say yes. Yeah. He's been in a lot of things.
It's funny.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Wow, So it's a shame he will be missed.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
All right, Now that I brought the whole room down,
let's say.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Hey, listen, the Greeks used to do that you go
with the tragedy, then you end with the comedy. Good.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Oh, this whole podcast is a tragedy, so I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
That it is. But right, got our sixty K subscribers,
so hey.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah, oh yeah, we hit sixty thousand today. Actually we
forget Yeah, wow, I want to be I.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Want to try to get to a Hunter K before
Comic Con because I really want to kind of like
whip the dick out with that. But I'll do it
with sixty or seventy K.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
I just want the silver play button so you get at.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
A hunt right, put it in your background there here.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
All right? So we had mentioned that the Superman is
already on streaming and the reason that they're already on
is interesting. So in a recent interview, James Gunn came
out was like, Yeah, I wanted it to be on
streaming before Peacemaker came out, and I didn't realize because
I thought it was coming out September and didn't realize
it was actually coming out in August. You're the guy,
(18:03):
You're the DC, this is your baby, Like what? Because
I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to
see Superman before Peacemaker season two and I'm like, really,
I don't know. I found that odd because then he
also followed it up with Peacemaker season two obviously, like
season one is not meant for young viewers, where Superman
(18:25):
is meant for everyone. So it's been why do you care?
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Yeah? I mean, how important must that little snippet of
Peacemaker be from the Superman movie? Like for it to
be like that, Man, this is where I get worried
the whole Peacemaker still can and think, go ahead, I
don't want to interrupt her.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
No, that's fine because they released that we saw in
the trailer, that green lantern. I was about to say
green goblin, green lantern. And what's his face or what's
her face? Hawk girl? Or is so in Peacemaker season two?
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Does he thought you had to see Superman? She could
understand why they're in this movie or why they're in
the show, but he didn't explain why they were in
the movie.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
I didn't know they were in the show.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yeah. It's just a scene where he's trying to join
like the Justice Gang as they call them in the movie. Yeah,
and he's in like an interrogation type room and they're
interviewing him there's a soundboard in James Gunn's brother what's
his name, Sean Sean Gunn, he plays Max Maxwell Lord,
and Maxwell Lord is like conducting the interview when they
have a little switch to turn the microphone on and off,
(19:26):
and they hit the switch and they're like saying that
he's a dick and all this stuff, and he's I
can hear you guys.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, But that's why mister Gunn can't keep his release
dates straight. He's too busy casting his wife and brother
in movies. Apparently I forgot all about that. I knew
his wife was a peacemaker, so I'm like, Oh, that's
gonna be going on forever. That's probably why it still exists.
I forget. And then his brother was in Guardians of
the Galaxy. Man, I wish I was his brother.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Yeah, just like Sam Raimi's brother. He's been like in
everything that he's Yeah, why don't we have famous brothers?
Can put us?
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Man? I don't know, Manure, it.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Makes sense to me for some reason that he wants
people to see Superman and going about it and reaching
a different audience. People that don't go to the movies
theaters want to wait till it comes out, so now
they don't have to. It's already here. But it is
weird that he wants to do it before Peacemaker. But yeah,
(20:24):
I'm good with it either way, not that anyone cares,
but it's good. I think it's good.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
No, we love Superman. Thron says they're disparaging ten REMI
talk here. Okay, okay, Thron, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Yeah, No, I like Superman a lot. Yeah, I think
it was awesome. It was great. I'm just I'm not
sure about this multiverse shit right off the bat, with
Peacemaker and all that. I don't get the remnants from
the old DC, the Old Guard still being around other
than that is what James Gunn did.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
And the problem is, in my opinion, we've talked about
this ad nauseum on this show before, is like this
idea that now that they've pushed, they've made the window
between releasing the movies and going to streaming so much
smaller now because all the movie companies have a streaming service,
they can put them out whenever they want. Yeah, there
(21:14):
are more and more people that are just like, I'll
just wait till it goes on streaming. But they're not
making the money on streaming, like they would if they
kept it in the theater longer, because more people would
be like, Oh, I guess I want to see it.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, I don't know. I think that they've made their
money by now. Get that, because I think that that
culture's already established. You're excited you want to go see
in the movie or are you going to wait for it?
And the excited I'm going to go see it at
the movies people do it within the first two, three,
four weeks. So I understand their decision to say, we're
not pilfering anyone that goes to the theater now to
(21:47):
see it just wants to see it in the theater.
They're going to do it anyway, so let's bolster the
popularity for our streamings.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I get that. And Okay, we're all of us here
of a certain age. But you remember when you were young,
and I'm sure this is a culture shift, but it
bothers me, Like when you were young, you were hanging
out with her friends and on a Friday night, you're like, oh,
what are we going to do? And it's like, oh,
this is still in the theater, so let's go see
this because maybe you hadn't seen it yet, or you know,
(22:13):
you've been talking to a girl and you finally got
her to say, yeah, I'll go out with your Friday night,
and it's you don't know what you're going to see,
so you're like, oh, Superman is still in the theater,
so let's go see that. Where Now it's oh, what
are you gonna It's now on HBO Max. You gonna
come over my house and watch it on HBO Max. No,
that's no fun. Do kids not go out anymore? I
guess that's my question.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
No, they don't. I think home with the VR or
their home with the.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Video blocks snapchats.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Yeah, the whole thing, snapchats.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Both put together. But I think I remember going to
the movies and hanging out and before a cable and
all that stuff. And see, to this day, I love
going to the movies, always go on the opening weekend
and stuff.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Yeah, me too, seeing I'm of the age where I
was big into video games when I was younger. Yeah,
I like to go to the movies and see the
Star Wars and the Transformers and the Masters in the Universe,
the Ninja Turtles and the Batman's Hell yeah, But when
it comes to just say I want to go hang
out oft to the movies. No, dude, we want to
go play this Nintendo or Super Nintendo game or D
(23:23):
and D or. So I'm of that of that age where, Okay,
if I went to the mall, it's because I went
to the arcade play fucking video games. Like I didn't
want to just walk around and shop. And and certainly
because of my hobbies, I never got a chance to like, oh,
you want to walk around the mall with a girl.
No girls were looking to walk around the mall with me.
(23:43):
So I was more of a shut in probably, and
I really only went to the movies and the mall
and stuff like that for some dorky purpose. So with
that said, I guess that's why I love like the
whole Okay, a movie comes out, but you need a
couple of months. You can see it on streaming and
you wait for that. But at the same time, I
saw Superman twice, all the Star Wars I see multiple times.
(24:06):
There's just certain movies that I go to, but it's
always purple purposeful and it's never really a social thing.
The one time I can think of that, I think
I did have a girl go with me. I think
it was to see the Titanic super lame. I at
least she rubbed me in a funny place. Oh I'm
not gonna.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Go tm I TM I yeah, yeah, yeah, anyway.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Going out of the way real quick.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
Oh look at it on the bottom of the popcorn.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Going there.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Yeah, so there you have it now that I've taken
it too far with that hot butter right.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I remember saying, I remember seeing Return of the Jedi
in the movie theater with five hundred people. And that's
when movie theaters were huge, and there were people sitting
in the aisle because there were no seats. Stuff like that,
waiting in line forever. But that's, like I said, that's
before cable, so if you wanted to see a movie,
you had to go to the movie theater. Nowadays you
(25:09):
can see it in a number of different ways.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Yeah, and I remember, man, way back when Phantom Menace
came out, it was like two years between. It was
in theaters, and I remember, this is the strangest thing ever.
I don't know why they did this. DVDs were a thing.
They were new, but they were a thing. But that
shit it came out on vhs only I had to
buy VHS to The Phantom Menace. It's the last Star
Wars VHS I ever owned, and then a year after
(25:34):
that it came with the DVD that was what nineteen
ninety nine, Yeah, it was ninety nine, two thousand, I
was like two thousand. I'm telling you. It was almost
like two thousand and one before I could get my
hands on a home copy of The Phantom Menace. And
I loved the movie still today, but I was super
into it back in the day.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
I'm trying to remember the first movie I owned on DVD.
I think it was The Matrix.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Mine was Blade. So I look at that trench coat model,
chromatic trench code, right.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
I knew we're brothers from another.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Mode exactly, same birthday all that.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
Yeah, so I think mine was Harry Potter.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Oh wow, Okay, you were late.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
At home because my first was born in ninety nine child, Yeah,
clarify that.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
And yeah, my first clone was two hundred years ago.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
I closed my kids, Thank you pal.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Tim Jones returned, yep.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Let's not go there. Let's not go there.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
It's like a library book. I was returned.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah, thank s beeing of things returning there.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
So we got Hulk was confirmed to be in Brand
New Day. They're saying that he's also going to be
in Doomsday as well, and that the version of Hulk.
This is a rumor now, it's not confirmed, but I
feel like it's true. We're getting Savage Hulk in in
Brand New Day, which I find interesting because I want
to know how the going to explain it, because they
(27:01):
didn't really explain Professor Hulk, like all of a sudden,
it was just here's Bruce Banner's personality in Hulk. There's
no more angry guy, separate personality. He's just Hulk all
the time, and there was no more switching back and forth,
at least not in the in Infinity War and an
Infinity War game. So I don't know, what, do you
think it's weird to go back to Savage Hulk now
(27:23):
or do you think we need that at this point
in the MCU.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
I don't know if I would say it's a need,
but I do know that there are a lot of
people that aren't super into the smart Hulk version of
the character. Yeah, I'm one of them. I like Hulk
when he's hawking out, he's destroying stuff. He's barely considered
an ally, what is he going to do? And I
think that Marvel is hearing those calls. Plus, at this point,
(27:51):
if they really are going to reboot the universe, they
don't have a lot of time to do a Savage Haulk,
which is a popular, popular Hulk they'd have And I
mentioned this on the show. His son's scar has been
introduced in a most pathetic way. Yes, so I can
see where they could be setting up for Okay, something
(28:14):
happens to his son's scar, so he just goes ape
shit and there you have it.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Yeah, article say, the article does say things happen. It
mentioned a couple of things that we know about, which
seemed like weird, but things happened that push him over
the edge, and that makes him savage again.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
See, I was hoping. I'm hoping that I'm just the opposite.
I hope they do Savage Hulk because I've been waiting
for that. I much prefer an angry batshit. Yeah, that
like an endgame. I was just that was the only
thing that I was disappointed. I like the idea of
Professor Hulk, but I was so hoping an endgame that somehow,
(28:54):
some way he would break out of being Professor Hulk
and just go ape shit and get right and get
at Fanos. That's that. That was a retribution moment that
I was open for because Banel's beat the shit out
of them or in Infinity War. This I was just
and I don't mean to go on a tangent, but
(29:15):
remember in Age of Ultron. I think it was Age
of Ultron where Scarlet Witch was able to get into
people's heads and got into Hulk's head and made him
really batshit. So I was hoping that she got this
light on an endgame and just like I did that
tune once, maybe I could do it again and she
would have brought that out and then beat the shit
(29:37):
out of Fanos. That was my wish for that. But anyways,
so I gravitate towards savage Hulk, angry Hulk, pissed off Hulk.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Yeah, I agree too because I always felt and it's
funny because it was what the late eighties early nineties
when they introduced Professor Hulk into the comics, and I
always felt it was weird. It took something away from
the character. Right, there's that du like a Doctor Jekyll
mister Hyde kind of thing, and he doesn't have control
when he becomes the Hulk, there's still goodness there, but
(30:08):
he's angry and he causes damage just to have him
in endgame and smash him stuff. Oh seems gratuitous. It
was just like such a dumb joke.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Really, that didn't land very well.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Yeah, yeah, so yeah, we shall see, We shall see.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
I think I think you're right, though a lot of
people want that. They don't want the wimpy Hulk that
we've gotten. There was a lot of criticism of his
betrayal on the She Hulk TV And speaking of She Hulk,
the rumor is that she will be in Doomsday that
we don't know. There's not a lot of details about it,
just that she present. I feel like they're gonna throw
(30:48):
it's gonna be a multiverse movie, so they're gonna throw
everything at the wall. So who knows what version if
it's be or to be She Hulk from the TV show,
or if it'll be she Hulk, you know, from another
universe where maybe it's a savage because there has.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Been interesting to see how they're all going to share
the screen in that movie, unless it's like a three
and a half hour movie to give everybody some good
time on screen. What are they going to have her do?
Just another add on character? There's so many. They showed
all the chairs in there.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yeah, there's a for second, one second. Hello Anthony, thank
you for subscribing.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Yeah, man, thanks.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
There's a rumor that on the twenty seventh, what's today
the twentieth, that they are going to release another list
of people that are going to be in the movie.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
Another list.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Yeah, oh you didn't know. Oh yeah, they only showed
the people like they had signed at that time. But yeah,
then they knew other people were coming. Oh yeah, there's
going to do We got more.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
There's a consistent rumor, apparently it's been verified that you
Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are going to be Dead wool.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Over absolutely, of course. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
I saw a picture of Doom and Deadpool on the
lying down in one of the supposed sneak shots of
the set. I could have sworn I saw that, but
maybe it's just me So that would be cool.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Yeah, humping the ground.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
We actually I have a question here from Anthony awesome.
What are you guys predictions on what the Superman saga
is going to be within the Gods and Monsters phase
of the cu You guys blame the low performance of
the past few blockbuster movies more than the movies not
being good or the studios conditioning phase, can wait till streaming,
(32:33):
or a mixture of both. We were just talking about that.
I think it is a mixture of The movies go
out on streaming much faster now, so not Other people
say I will wait, and I think with Marvel people,
there is Marvel fatigue and the last couple of movies.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Well, they've been focusing on the wrong character.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yeah, even though Fantastic Four was a fantastic movie, I'm
not intended. The previous two movies were like black prediction
for Superman Saga, that's a good one. I'm not sure
because they are actually working on the next movie already.
From my understanding, the Superman two has already been greenlit,
and I don't there's the obvious is bringing Zod, right,
(33:11):
We've done Lex bringing Zod. I would like to gods
and monsters too, that's his.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Dark side, too fast.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Ruk sides, too side fast, Brainiac They have yet to
do Brainiac.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Yes, I think that would be a better one. Yeah,
in my opinion, I am as they say.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah, I think brain I think you go brainiac because
he fits into the concept of gods and monsters too
as well, I feel and yeah, and there's there's I
feel like the way gun is if he continues like
being the main writer, he is also going to play
into the whole Yeah, Like he proved himself at the
end and he saved the world, but there's still gonna
(33:49):
be people that are like, oh, but he was sent
here to conquer us, and I think he'll play into
that a little bit as well as Superman, a god
or a monster.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
General populous verse turn pretty quick anyway.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Yeah, they did, at least in that movie. Yeah. Cool,
good question, Anthony. Welcome. All right, let's move on to
our main topic you came here to discuss. I said, So,
we got the DCU relaunched, We got our dc launched,
we got a bunch of movies since we've done this.
We've done this in the show before, but it's been
a while since we've done it. And here's the thing,
(34:22):
and I mentioned this to you guys in the chat,
our chat that we have got that I've been thinking
about this a lot, like how do you rate? And
I'm not doing it right now. I want to come
up with something down the road, don you and I
maybe we could put on the website. How do you
rate movies in a way that isn't as subjective as
just being like, Oh, I like this movie, I don't
(34:44):
like and like coming up with rules on what makes
it a good movie versus a bad movie? And I
have my rules. One of the things I kind of
stick to a lot when we were a few movies
is how many movies did you have to see for
the plot of this to make sense? If this movie
and stand on its own and it works without having
to have seen five other MCU movies before you got
(35:07):
the endgame, then there you go. That's a that gets
a point. But yet if I've had to see five movies,
that loses points for that. And then do you need
to see the origin to understand the character? I think
you don't anymore. So that one account. And then what
was the other thing? Oh, does the hero kill a villain?
We've had that so many movies. Does the villain? Does
(35:28):
the main villain live at the end to come back
or is he killed?
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Where is the villain just a carbon copy.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Of the hero? That's the MCU formula.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
That's funny. Though Man, because yeah, I am very unformatted
when it comes to my criticism. Yeah, movies, I know
that I know that if they like do the thing right,
that I'll forgive plot contrivances and whatnot. And I also
on the opposite end of you, like, I don't think of, oh,
how many how much should I have to know? I
love when movies just come in you don't fucking know,
(35:59):
you don't fucking know. I love it.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah, that came from I've talked about this on the
show before, Like I say to my girlfriend, you want
to go see this movie with me? And she's we've
been together for four years now, so almost four years now,
so she's getting good at being like, nah, I don't
really want to go see that one because she knows
she's not gonna know what's going on. Where we saw
movies and she's wait, what's going on here? Why are
(36:22):
they doing this? Who's that? And it's confusing. That was
the other thing. I feel like movies, even though we're
comic book fans and we get it. I feel like
when they do the shortcut, oh everyone knows you guy
Gardner it Yeah, and it worked with Superman, But I
think when they have done that in a lot of
comic book movies where they throw a character in the
(36:44):
comic book fans love and you're supposed to know who
this is, and sometimes it falls flat if you're not
a comic book fan. So anyway, these are thoughts I
was having. So I was like, Oh, let's just do this.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
You're nicer than me, though, Dave, because I'll be like, hey, wife,
you just sat there and watch Love Is Blind for
three hours. You can come sit here and watch a
superhero movie with me. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Oh, Mongol Vandal or Gorilla Grod, that's Anthony. They're not
bad picks. Gorilla Grod. I think of flashmore. But I
actually the big next big villain, and it's gonna be
a solo movie is Clayface, which I don't get that
one either. I don't know how that's gonna work. So
let's start it your number three. We'll work up to
your number one, and we'll discuss each one. You don't
(37:29):
really have to greatly defend it, but you might. Tim
You can go first.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Which doesn't have to be superhero movies? Is that what
we're going for?
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Superhero slash comic book like it?
Speaker 3 (37:39):
All right? You got it? Yeah, we're starting at number three.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah, okay, so.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Number three being the worst, yes, or like the lesser, Okay,
the lesser. I think. I'm a Marvel fan. I'm gonna
stick with that. I would say number three is I'm
gonna go with I'm gonna go with the Infinity Saga
because that was my favorite the whole eleven years of
it or whatever. So out of those, I liked Age
(38:04):
of Ultron, God forgive me, that would be my number
three because it was an Avengers movie, but it wasn't
the best out of the three. And while there were
parts of the kind of were man to me, especially Ultron,
there was a lot in it that I liked, the
(38:25):
birth of Vision and that kind of thing. But I'm
kind of fifty to fifty in the movie. But that
would be my number three out of the Marble Infinity
Saga movie.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
James Spader was great as Ultron. Yeah, I did like
that movie. I know people hate on that one, Tim,
but I am a fellow enjoyer of them.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Yeah, I'm not one hundred percent on it, but you know,
you mentioned James Spader was great as Ultron. It's just
as soon as they gave him a mouth.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
I was there for me.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
I was like, what are they doing? I was totally
expecting the fiery, yeah, robotic of them.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
But here's the funny thing. One of the things in
my mind, based on what I was talking about earlier
with the what you call it, the things that would
take away from the movie if you hadn't seen the
first Avengers movie, A lot of Ultron doesn't work. There's
a lot of because they have the Mindstone from the Staff,
which is what they use to create vision. But it
(39:22):
like without without knowing anything, like it's hard to see
that movie on all the Avengers movies are hard to
see on the right. But yeah, no, but at the
end of the day, it's still a good movie. All right,
don what's your number three?
Speaker 2 (39:34):
It's funny because you already mentioned it. But to the Avengers,
the original one, I just I remember going to the
theater and thinking like, wow, this is wow. They that
there they are the Avengers, like crazy looking Thor and
Hulk and Captain America those stupid little wings on his helmet.
But I get it. They made decisions like as soon
(39:55):
as they could they could write off the helmet right
off them, and they did have a better design in
Captain America first Avengers for him. But anyway, it was
just I was at first watching that, I was just
blown away the than ots. It was just cool and
I thought it was really well done. Yeah, he can
poke holes at it nowadays, but just I remember back
when I first saw it, and even now I'll watch it.
(40:17):
It's just fun and cool, and to me it was
really like the start of yeah, they really can do
a lot of crazy shit and it'll be good.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Okay. My number three is also a Marvel movie, the
original Iron Man one. I think that movie for a
comic book movie is almost pure perfection, absolute bright casting
of Robert down and Junior's Tony Stark, the jebbidized Stain
is an excellent villain for that movie. And the after
(40:46):
credits scene bringing Samuel Jackson in as Nick Fury and saying,
I want to tell you about the Avengers initiatives like
the I remember being in the theater and everyone exploding
when he said that. Yeah, it was just it was
pure excitement. It was like like thinking of back to
when I first saw that movie, going walking into the theater, going, eh,
(41:07):
they did an Iron Man movie. I like Roubert Downey Junior,
I like comic book movie, let's see what happens, and
then walking out of that theater. Wow, the potential for
bringing in the Avengers and doing something great totally flipped
my mind about comic book bees at that point.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
Yeah, yeah, I'm right there with Yeah. I'm a huge
Ironman fan. If you could see my room here, I
have tons of Iron Man and stuff. So it's just
when I saw that, I was, man, the comic book
movies are back, and the ones they had before that
were okay, but now it's wow. They lit the match
for the Inferno.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Yeah, all right, Tim, what is your number two?
Speaker 3 (41:45):
My number two is, and I've got them written down here.
Being an artist, Spider Verse movies, especially the first one, Yeah,
the Spider Verse, and the second one was fantastic too,
But just when I saw that, I was just like,
this is bananas. I loved. I'm sitting back and I
(42:05):
had to watch that three times. I'm just sitting like
I said, just being an artist, it was I can't
even say enough. I think it even it was either
nominated for an Oscar or one one one of the two,
and it was just phenomenal. They did stuff on that
screen that I never thought possible, and combining a bunch
of different styles, especially making it look like a comic
(42:28):
book and then adding all the other stuff to it.
And the acting was voice acting was fantastic, just everything
about it, including Nicholas Cage and John mulaney. Like John
Mulaney is like one of my favorite comedians. It was
just like it's perfect despite a big so it was
just in Spider him and it was just fantastic. So
(42:50):
that's and like I said, the second one is great too,
and I think the coming out with a third one,
if I'm not mistaken, that would be my solidnumber two. Yeah,
cool they did then, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
And do you have a solid number two or he's running.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
No, this is totally meta mucil solid. So my number two,
coincidentally enough is the second of a trilogy, and that's
gonna be The Dark Night. I'm not a huge DC fan.
I'm not even a big Batman fan. That's my brother Volskar.
But the Dark Knight was just something Super Batman begins
(43:29):
was great. And then they and they show you the
Joker card at that end of the movie, and then
The Dark Knight comes out and just the way it opens,
Heath Ledgers Joker of course. Oh yeah, there's nothing else
to say about it that hasn't already been said. It's
considered by many to be the best super movie. I
have a bias that probably is preventing that. But number
(43:51):
two super solid every morning. At the same time, my
number two is going to be The Dark Knight for sure.
It's great, it's awesome.
Speaker 3 (43:58):
I just say one one kwalm I had with that
with those movies was Batman's cap. It looked like a blanket. Yeah,
that's all I wanted to say.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
How he keeps the big guy's warm. Our good friend
Marky Mark from so Wizards Watching, He says into the
Spider Verse. Did win Oscar for Best Animated Feature? Yes,
yes it did.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
It's a great movie.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
So don again he did it again, sharing the same
brain Dark The Dark Knight is my number two as well.
He's ledgers perfection as the Joker. I have had people
say this to me, and I've thought about it. It's
is it a is it a really good comic book movie?
Or is it like Keith Ledger is just so good
in that movie you forgive everything else that goes on it.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (44:42):
No, I don't think that maybe, but I don't think so.
It's everything with the Joker is so well written in
that movie like that makes it work. He is the
wild card as he should be. You've got Batman who's
trying to stop the gangs while dealing with this wild card.
And again they didn't Joker off at the end. It's
a shame that Heath Ledger passed away because he would
(45:04):
have been a big part of the third movie.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
But unfortunately, stupid I made it.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
So yeah, it's another near perfect superhero movie. Near perfect.
My number one, in my opinion, is the perfect. But
before we get to my number one, Tim, Yes, this
is your moment to shine. What is your number one
superhero slash comic book movie.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
That's like my wedding night, my time to shine. Ah,
it was a little dark, to be honest with you
say it, but it's a tie. But because we already
mentioned the other one, I think that Spider Man No
Way Home is the best as far as I'm concerned.
That that movie was and I saw it in the
theater and it was probably the most fun I've ever
(45:51):
had in a movie theater. And when it came out
I was so excited to see it. We got there
like an hour and a half before it came out,
before the movie started, and the line was that long,
and I just remember cheering and telling and crying and
people on the edge of their seats and stuff like that.
(46:11):
The place was packed. The movie itself was just so
many It was so entertaining and so dramatic and so
action filled and so well done that I literally just
could not get enough of it. And the way they
brought in the other two Spider Man's in from the
other movies and made it work, and just surprises and
(46:33):
twists that I didn't see coming. Yeah, especially with aunt
May and that and which was really heart wrenching. Yeah,
that's my number one. I can't just do it. The
other one was iron the original Iron Man, but we
already touch based on that being an Iron Man fan,
so I guess I have to give that an honorable mention.
But yeah, Spider Man No Way Home.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
I agree because for the twists and turns like there were.
Definitely it's funny because where now there I see movies
and I feel like they give everything away in the trailer,
and I felt that way for years, but that no, Definitely,
there were a lot of surprises in that, and I
think that's what made it like a good movie in
the theater. Yeah, yeah, all right, don what X Men
(47:16):
movie is your number? One?
Speaker 2 (47:19):
That X Men movie is Deadpool two. Oh woh, and
you touched on it exactly. It is absolutely my favorite
X Men movie, which is surprising because Deadpool is a
character in the comics. I never liked gotta chuckle out
here there, But nonetheless, they come out with his movies.
(47:39):
They come out with the first one, and really this
to me, it's almost a tie dead Pool one and two.
But Deadpool two I personally like better than dead Pool one.
But they both feature a comic accurate Colossus Yoda rescue
not just looked, but the way he asks what he
would do the person I really got who that character
was that I fell in love with. For those who
(48:00):
don't know, that's my favorite comic book hero, Colossus. So
the second one comes along and Juggernaut's in it, yeah,
played by Ryan Reynolds, by the way, but yes, and
I remember being in the theater thinking, holy fuck, I'm
about to watch Colossus and Juggernaut fight, and they're both
comic accurate. Now I've explained before, I like to see
(48:23):
them do the thing power porn kind of guy. So
outside of I got to see my favorite movie version
of Colossus Fight Juggernaut. I just Josh Brolin. His cable
is great. The only complaint I even have is that
when he went to use his time travel device that
he should have been like body slide, Like that's that's
(48:44):
what he says where he does it. But anyway, okay,
they didn't do it. Deadpool is a character like he
progresses to where he's wanting to save that kid and
willing to die for him, and then the scene where
he thinks he's gonna die and it takes him like
fifteen minutes to do it was just hilarious. So they're
the Deadpool. They're hilarious. They're super comic bookie, which I love.
(49:07):
So that's my number one. Deadpool two slash Deadpool one.
I think the villain in Deadpool one's a lot lamer
than Deadpool. So I'm just Deadpool two number one.
Speaker 1 (49:16):
Okay, all right, now my turn. You guys are all wrong.
You have a guess before I reveal my number one.
Speaker 3 (49:26):
Mary Poppins.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
Oh my god, let's see Dave's favorite comic book movie.
It must be apocalypse. Oh my god, it's gotta be it.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
No, No, I have said this on the podcast many times.
It's spider Man two, the original trilogy, spider Man two,
sambreyby Maguire, spider Man two.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
Okay, it's so.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Many reasons why until then most superhero movies were lame.
And don't get me wrong, I love the original Spider
Man movie, but there were definitely issues with it, especially
the Power Ranger.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Green Goblin covering Willem Defoe's face when naturally he looks
like the green Goblin has gotta be.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
Yeah, But the version of doc Och where he friends
with Peter and then becomes evil, I thought that was
so well written, and Peter just having Peter struggles struggles
with MJ like stuff that's right out of the comic book.
But I will always go back to the fight between
doc Oc and Spider Man on the subway train is
(50:29):
the most perfect Spider Man fight ever put to film.
They have yet to beat that scene, and I'm sure
once they do, because I feel once they get a
good Spider Man fight scene, I'll probably that might move
down to number two, and whatever that new movie is,
it'll go up to number one. But just him being
able to dodge the all the swings from doc oc
(50:52):
because he's Spider Man and he has Spider sense, and
I feel like they've missed that in so many other
fights in the movies. And then Cock finally been like okay, fine,
and he makes the train go out of control and
spite he has to stop it with his strength. But
before we get to that, it's such such a good fight.
Oh when he jumps up and he moves his body
so he goes through the bridge and then lands back
(51:13):
on the train. Perfection. Sam Raimi knew what he was
doing when he choreographed that foot. Yeah, it's it's like
the best Spider Man scene put the film. What does
Marky Mark say? Superman nineteen seven A is the absolute
best superhero movie of all time beginning to end. I
love you, Mark, but I don't know it is It
is the golden standard of Superman movies. It's the golden
(51:36):
standard of a lot of things.
Speaker 2 (51:38):
But I don't know.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
I have a hard time, especially after watching Nicholas Holtz,
Lex Luthor going back on Gene Hackman was a good
Lex Luthor. It's very It's funny because for nineteen seventy eight.
It was very comic bookie. Yeah, so I don't know, Mark,
you going to New York Comic Con this year. Maybe
we can fight about it there over dinner. So yeah,
that's our three choices. We definitely have had people chiming
(52:01):
in here the chat. Thrown is saying Mystery Men. I
love that movie. It is a great superhero movie. It's
not based on an actual comic book though, but I
do love that movie. Of course. Mark is saying Superman
nineteen seventy eight, and Anthony says his number one is Batman,
the Matt Reeves Batman. It's another good choice, very interesting
take on the Riddler in that movie, but still a
(52:21):
good choice. Maybe we got a right, maybe we got
it wrong. Let us know those comments down below. If
you're watching this after the fact, what is your favorite
superhero move all time? Could be Dark Knight, could be
iron Man, it could be I don't know. Can I
mention one Watchman?
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Sure you can. You got an honorable mention.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
Just because another honorable mention. Can't say that word The Incredibles.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
That is a good one. That is a good one.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
That it was on TV the other night and I
was just like, damn, this is good. So sorry, pro
I just thought of it.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
Okay, So Anthony quick, well, we'll address well, he wants
us to mention his comments, and we'll do that before
we yea wrap it up here. The reason for my
Wakanda Forever is my number two is because the fact
that I was able to see myself represent it live
action for superheroes as a spinic comic book fan. I
love that. But what about Blue Beetle. I thought that
(53:18):
was a much better representation than their version of a
name or in Wakanda Forever. But to each his own.
I have nothing against Wakanda Forever other than.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
That name war has grown on me to be complete.
At first, I was kind of how they changed the
name of the wasn't Atlantis and whatnot. But the other
thing I don't like about Wakanda Forever is, and we've
talked about it that they should They need to cast
to Challa. Yes, that's what. Yeah, thatamic between those two
characters would have been way better.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
Yeah, they need to recast the Challa unfortunately. So yeah,
and then Anthony says, I wanted to like the Spider
Verse movies, but I couldn't because of the fact that
my autism, and it constantly was giving me headaches because
of the animation style they were using. I could see that.
Speaker 3 (54:06):
Yeah, yeah, it was very busy.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
It's it's extremely busy. And then the second one into
the Spider Verse, when like they have all the different
Spider Man all in different animations, like, yeah, I could
see how that'd be hard to follow, especially if we have, yeah,
any kind of neurological issues. Oh, Tim has the right idea.
Next time, best comic movie not based on a comic
all right?
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Does buck Rue Bondsai in the Eighth Dimension count?
Speaker 1 (54:32):
Yeah, that's a very comic book and movie that isn't
based on a comic book, So yeah, I could see that.
All right, next time we'll do that. But until next time,
I have a very important question, and I need to
ask you.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Guys what do we learn on the show to night?
Speaker 1 (54:48):
What'd you guys learn or do you have recommendations or both?
And of course Tim, being a guest, you can go first.
Speaker 3 (54:53):
What my number two is? Really? I never thought about
my about my number two. And there are ways the
control that make it easier. But there is medication, there
are foods that would be what I love. It helps, Yeah, coffee.
I started the new mushroom coffee just on Monday. I
got the Rise stuff. It's got different mushrooms in there. Surprisingly,
(55:18):
it doesn't taste like mushrooms.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
And is that because you want to be a fun guy?
Speaker 3 (55:23):
Yes, and very fallI Actually that's a phallic coffee.
Speaker 1 (55:29):
Is that your recommendation mushroom coffee? Yes?
Speaker 3 (55:32):
And that could be my recommendation too. Yes. I've been
on it for three days since I started at Monday.
Comes in a little you can get like these huge
kits and stuff. But I got the little pouch and
I'm going to finish the pouch. Let me rephrase that.
I'm going to finish it and see what happens. It's
supposed to be for gut health and all kinds of stuff,
(55:53):
and so that I would recommend that.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
So far, so good.
Speaker 3 (55:56):
It's really tasty too. It's not like I said, does
and tastes like a mushroom. It's good, like a little
bit of sweet coffee to it and stuff. And we'll
see what happens. I'll be a different person by New
York Colin con.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
Maybe you'll be six inches taller.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
Who knows six inches somehow? Where I come from, they
measure across, but we won't get into that.
Speaker 1 (56:17):
All right, Don, All right, Don, what do you got
for us?
Speaker 2 (56:20):
I learned by our new comment or Anthony here, because
his number three pick was iron Man two. So because
of that, I learned that I'm not the only one
that appreciates iron Man two. The first one is great,
but there's just something about iron Man two. I don't know,
time in my life at that time, I don't know,
but I just really like that movie. It's actually a
(56:42):
really good progression for the Tony Stark character, going from
that loan gun to somebody that could end up in
the Avengers. I don't know. I just enjoy it. First
appearance of Black Widow and all that stuff, I don't know,
good stuff, all right, So I learned this. I'm not
tell anyone that likes it.
Speaker 1 (56:57):
I'll give you a Black Widow and the suitcase.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
The suitcase suit was awesome. Yep. I don't have nothing
to recommend because I don't want shit, I guess apparently anymore.
Speaker 1 (57:08):
All right, I learned that been a great new fan, Anthony,
Thank you for watching. Make sure you tell all your
friends or your enemies, depends on how you feel.
Speaker 2 (57:17):
Tell them all we need more subscribers that'd like one
hundred k by comic bunds, So I don't care, don't
vote all you want, just subscribe to us.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Please, thank you forty thou ago in about a month
and a half.
Speaker 3 (57:31):
Let's see you're gonna get there.
Speaker 1 (57:32):
I learned that, yeah, this is everyone's got different tastes
when it comes to comic book movies, and that's okay.
It's all right to be different and have different tastes.
We can all get along together in harmony or some
bullshit recommendations. I am going to recommend because I believe
it comes out this week, Peacemaker season two. I believe
(57:53):
it comes out tomorrow. You should go check out the
first episode because that is what Donnie and I will
be talking about on Sunday night, because nothing else is
really going on right now unless they introduce, introduce, announce
a bunch of cast members for doomsday, which I doubt
we'll get that before then. All right, and on that noteboard,
(58:14):
as always, thanks for watching. Don't you keep caught in
the door, see you next time.
