I am still recovering. I slept most of the day yesterday.
You have the okay and the comments. It looks like
we sound good, So you know what? I tell you?
What what do you say? We go ahead and start
(03:36):
the show the way we always do by thanking our sponsors.
First up is of course dB Concerts, who answers the
question what do you want to do with your life?
And Rocky we'll be doing inside the Roadhouse stage. The
dB concert Stage will be having a mix from locals, nationals,
(04:02):
and even a couple of legends that will be in
that tent, including on that oh so amazing pre party
that they will be doing that Thursday at Rock Oklahoma.
I believe d Snyder's there on that Thursday. Let me
see what that flyer says, Yes, that pre partery.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
D Snyder, Trickster and Sebastian Sebastian James Rocket Science. And
let's not forget the band that will be playing our
benefits in a Memorial Day weekend, Crimson Love will also
(04:47):
be playing that pre party on the deb concert stage
inside of the Roadhouse. Make sure that you give your
love to Doug for everything he does for the Rocklahoma community. Also,
we want to give a shout out to another Rocklaholma
(05:07):
party who has been supporting the show. I think they
are He's one of the second longest sponsors we've ever had.
I'm talking about At Your Service Rentals. Brett Brett in
the Poo crew puts up with all of our shit
at Rocklaholme and Born and Raised music festivals. They are
(05:28):
the only place I know of where you can get
your own portable restroom for your campsite, and you can
even get you a swimming pool too, so you don't
want to be stuck out in the middle of the
night looking for a place to go pooh pooh like
that guy, Hey, what are you doing over there? Buddy? Yeah,
(05:50):
I didn't call at your service rentals. We also want
to think our proud partner, Rebel Angel of Photography by
Angel Lee for everything she does for the podcast, including
traveling the country with us multiple times over the last
four years, and she's this will actually be her fourth
(06:12):
year covering Roklaholma with us taking those amazing photos. She's
also covered a whole host of other festivals as well,
So make sure that you head on over to Photography
by Angel Lee and hit them like and follow button.
And if you see those photos of yourself, make sure
that you tag yourself. But anywhere you share a photo,
(06:34):
always give credit to your photographer. We also want to
give a shout out to Rock Evet, some of the
guys we've been working with for almost six years and
all started whenever Jason had an extra ticket and said,
you know what, I want to hook up a VET.
Ever since then he decided, you know what, that was awesome,
(06:57):
Let's keep let's keep paying it for Forward. Now we've
given away over two hundred passes to rock Lahoma at
other festivals, and they have no signs of stopping. A
five h one nonprofit organization who is just committed to
(07:19):
giving the music that is medicine to veterans everywhere. Make
sure that you have all of your veteran friends and
family to check them out on Facebook. That's Rockavet. And
speaking of we have also been doing a promotion with Rockavet.
(07:45):
They are going to be announcing on Independence Day, the
fourth of July, a winner of General Admission Weekend pass
to Roklahoma. And the way to qualify is to be
saving up all of the code words that we give
(08:08):
out each and every week, like this week code Word Challenge.
Make sure you are keeping track of your code words.
At the end of the promotional period, they will be
collecting all of those and they will be selecting a
winner for a GA weekend pass to rock Oklahoma. Once again.
(08:32):
The Rockavet code word for this week is challenged. You
mister the code word. Mister code word. It's easy. Just
go back and watch some of the other the old
videos and you can get all of those code words
as well. We also want to give a shout out
to the Big Old Bus who is always bringing a
(08:55):
busload a DEBAUCHERI to a festival near you. And rock
Lahoma is where they got their start. You can't miss
them anytime you are walking between the VIP and the
GA campgrounds. They are right there on the main strip
that you know, you've seen the giant bus converted into
(09:18):
this just amazing thing of adult They've just got so
much stuff. I tell you what. You want to know
what they've got going on, check out the Rockaholma Campgrounds
map surviving Rocklaholma dot com. Click on the Rockaholma Survival
(09:39):
guide and it'll bring up the Rocklahoma twenty twenty five map,
where we will have a directory of all of the
going ons in the campgrounds, including all of the events
that are going on at the Big Old Bus. And
every year they've got something new. I can't wait to
(09:59):
see what they've got for us this coming Labor Day.
We also want to give a shout out to the
rock Oklahoma Bitches. You know, the Rocklahoma Bitches are proud
sponsors of the local music community and they are some
(10:20):
cheerleaders of sorts in the Oklahoma grounds. Anywhere you go
you just feel that energy and let's not forget that
oh so coveted Oklahoma Bitches swag. They've also donated the
guitars that we've been giving away the last couple of
years on the Rockklahoma Scavenger Hunt, where you all compete
(10:47):
in the campgrounds at Rock Oklahoma. You get all of
these thing tasks that are set forth and the winner
will receive one of these guitars that the ladies have given.
And while you all are doing that, I'm collecting signatures
(11:08):
from all of the artists that we encounter in the
media tent, including our interviews and people who are just
passing through. You never know who will be signing these guitars,
so this is something that you guys can earn on
your own. Now, you want to see pictures of previous guitars,
(11:28):
it's easy, just go visit photography by Angel Lee on Facebook.
She's got photos of all of those amazing guitars and
the artists that signed them, as well as stunning shots
from Rockaholma's past. Once again, thank you for a rebel
(11:49):
for those images, and thank you Rockaholma Bitches for supporting
the podcast. We also want to think Muddle Coore Clothing
who will be producing our threads this year. And you've
seen the Tribal Skull t shirts. Those are still on
sale now. We've also got a couple of other shirts
(12:12):
available that you can get. Shoot us an email Surviving
Rocklholme at gmail dot com. We are also going to
be producing a new design to commemorate ten years of
Mayhem here at the show where we have been producing
Surviving Rockklahoma for ten years this year. With that being said, folks,
(12:36):
we also want to let's go ahead and kick off
the show the way we do each and every week,
courtesy of the folks who make the SuDS or sell
the SuDS that keep me sauce. I'm talking about Prior
Liquor Wines and Spirits. The lick of Daddy is always
keeping me up with sampler packs, and I am still
(12:59):
finishing off the last of my India pale Ale from
Stone Cloud brewing some astro dog and what are you
guys sipping on? Drop it down there in the comments
and cheers, everybody on behalf of Prior Liquor Wines and Spirits. Cheers.
(13:32):
That's good. Oh, I see my friend, what's up, Fireball?
It's good? To see your brother got my SR tenth
show tickets this morning. Awesome, Thank you Lord. Yes, that's right.
The ten Years of Mayhem show is avail. The tickets
(13:57):
are on sale now. I can't believe I didn't even
put up a flyer in here of my own event.
Let me see if I can find it. We will
talk about it here in just a little bit. But yes,
it's going to be an amazing event including Rocklaholma bands,
(14:21):
the Normandy's Even in Death and making their do Crimson Love.
We'll be talking about that here in a little bit.
But before we do, folks, I want to take a
couple of minutes to talk about this event that took
place here at the Shrine this past weekend Saturday. And
(14:46):
it was the Black Pearl Presents at a rockaho or
a rock event benefit. I'm not sure why my stuff
is all missed up. Let's see if we can fix that.
There we go anyway, Yes, Black Pearl Presents a concert
(15:13):
to benefit our vets, active duty first responders, Blue Star
and gold Star Family. The night was headlined by Rocklaholma
artist Dime Store Riot, Let's Not Forget nine Left Dead
and seven Foot Monkey, who played that evening and everybody
(15:37):
brought the energy. It was absolutely awesome to see all
of those bands rocking for such an amazing cause. Y'all
the size of the crowd, you know, I knew we
were gonna do very well. I knew our Rocklaholma family
(15:59):
was going to show up and show out, but you
guys impressed even me. I mean, we packed the place.
It would the parking lot was full when everybody would
came inside it there it was pretty much standing room.
It was absolutely heartwarming to see so many people come out.
(16:24):
And people didn't even just come just come to watch
the show. They didn't just come to watch me host
the thing. They came to support veterans and they there
was raffles at the door. There was also several package
packages that was auctioned off to raise funds for the veterans.
(16:50):
All the all the proceeds that was raised went towards
the charity organization where they will facilitate all of the
services that they do for veterans, including getting concert tickets
and awarding those to veterans. I want to thank auction
(17:12):
House twenty seven for getting up on stage and doing
these auctions. They raised just shy of five thousand dollars
to go towards everything that they do for veterans. It
was absolutely amazing. We also bumped in to a good
(17:37):
friend that we haven't seen here in a couple of months,
and I am so glad to share some photos from
beck Beck and this week's photo spotlight courtesy of photography
by Angel Lee. We are showing some images from our
(18:00):
good friend back back, who has been covering the scene
for quite a while. And there was, oh, the wrestlers.
Did you guys watch the wrestlers? So nine left dead
is in their playing and next thing you know, you
just see what we thought was a fight breakout and
(18:21):
these guys made their way into the parking lot. It
was awesome. It caught everyone off guard and I didn't
I caught the name of the place that these folks
wrestle for, but they do events every two weeks and
the funds that they make at their wrestling shows they
(18:44):
feed the hungry, they feed the homeless. So that was
an absolute honor meeting those guys and swamping some stories
from back when I used to work with the local
indie pro wrestling place. But as you can see, man,
the family was out and we see some images there
(19:09):
of a relatively new incarnation, a relatively new band called
seven Foot Monkey that is made of some local artists.
And I absolutely love this band, almost as much as
I love being on stage hosting an event such as this.
(19:31):
It was so much fun. And there we see nine
Left Dead took on the stage bringing their high energy.
And there we have auction House twenty seven, who is auctioning.
Check out this guitar. Oh my gosh, that is a
(19:53):
one of a kind guitar that was commissioned, and that
one was donated by the big old bus. That was
freaking cool. And the level of detail on there, the
the gold adjustment knobs. I was absolutely blown a white
(20:14):
blown away by that guitar. And the Liquidaddy Uh Prior
Liquor Wines and Spirits donated this huge box of goodies,
including a box of cigars in there. Look at all
of those things. I was I was absolutely jealous of
(20:40):
the guy who won that auction and Uh, this wonderful
lady here also bought a ton of Raffle tickets and
she won several of the prizes, but man, she earned it.
And I'm leave he's the one who bought that package
(21:05):
from prior liquors as well. So once again, I want
to thank the Rockavet crew for having this benefit asking
me to host it. And he tried to hide in
the wings, but we still found him and brought Jason
(21:29):
up to thank him and congratulating for everything he's done
with Rockavet, and thank you Tim t Art for those
custom art pieces as well. So once again, folks, thank
you everybody who came out this past Saturday and supported
(21:50):
our veterans and came out and rocked for an amazing cause.
And we are actually going to be going being joined
by someone here in just a few minutes. Let me
make sure that the room is open. With that being said, folks,
(22:15):
let me check one more thing before we go to break.
We also have coming. While we were at the event
a bit, I bumped in to a good friend who
(22:39):
manages some amazing young men in a band called She
Hates Me Not, and he said, hey, man, I got
this sick We got this sick new track coming out
and we want you to hear. We can't wait for
you to see the new video that we are the
(23:03):
new single that we are dropping. And I said, you
know what, bro, I want to play it and he said, deal,
I tell you what, why don't you play it Monday?
And I said, okay, So guys, without further ado, here
is a brand new song from She Hates Me Not
(23:26):

Speaker 3 (23:28):

Thank you so much. She hates me not for letting
me debut that studio audience to escape us. Give him
(28:53):
some live I tell you what. I've got somebody on
the line with me right now who is also a
big fan, and I'm here with declan of the band's
sabre Tooth. What's up, buddy?
Speaker 6 (29:10):
Now's it going? Brother? How we doing?
Speaker 2 (29:12):
I'm doing well? Man? So you've got a event coming
up here this month. Tell me a little bit about it.
Speaker 6 (29:23):
I do Loud and Local Fest is May second. In
May third is a two day music fest that I'm
putting on in Muscogiy, Oklahoma. It's two days, ten bands
and they are all locals, and it's funded by locals.
And I wanted to do something in Muskogi because there's
not a lot of like alternative music in Muscogie and
(29:43):
not a lot of places for the play. So it
really just spawned from wanting a place for my band
to play in our hometown. And it just grew and
grew and grew, and now it's grown into this two
day tin band festival and hopefully it just keeps growing.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
So Man, tell me how did how this is what?
You're a third year doing this?
Speaker 6 (30:06):
Yes, yeah, this will be the third year.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
How did this whole thing get started?
Speaker 6 (30:11):
So basically, before I was ever in Saber Tooth, I
was actually in a band called Couch Snaps and we
had there was nowhere for us to play and I
didn't really know anything. I was young, I was nineteen
or twenty. I didn't know how to break into the
Tollsa scene, and we just wanted to show. So we
put on our first everage DIY show in this abandoned
mall in must Go you called shadow Wooden Mall, and
(30:34):
over one hundred people came out and it was like, wow,
we can really do something with this. So we continue
to put on shows, and then it kind of came
to this idea of like, well, why not just do
a whole festival so then we can you know, kind
of cover some of our costs with like local sponsors
and some of the like smaller local businesses will get
advertisement out of it. And it also spawned for me
(30:55):
wanting to put on a show in our Civic Center,
which is like this massive, huge venue in Muscogi that
for a long time wasn't really getting a lot of love.
And admittedly it was a little too big for that
first gig, but I think we'll get back to that
point in no time to where we might have to
find somewhere bigger than that, hopefully.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
You know.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
The So your second year you did the Civic Center
and what last year or wait, it was the first
year Civic Center, the second year at the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 6 (31:32):
Oh yeah, the Muscogi All of Fame. Yeah, I mean
I figured couldn't be a better place for it than there,
because I mean, all musicians who have anything to do
with Oklahoma usually get put into the Music Hall of
Fame and Muscoge So I thought that would be a
great spot to have it, and it really was. It
was a really great spot, and they worked with us
and they haven't seen a lot of alternative and heavier
bands there, but they really they really enjoyed having us out.
(31:55):
And the one of the only reasons we're not having
it this year again is because they're remodeling that tire
building right now.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Wow. Wow.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
And so and this is kind of cool too, because
I don't catch a lot of shows in Muscogee. Most
of the shows go on in Tulsa and we get
with you here in town. There's occasionally one in Muscogee,
but now that you're doing a whole festival in Muscogee
(32:25):
for the third year is so we're getting a little
bit of a chour. Tell me about this year's venue.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
So this year's venue is actually going to be at
the American Legion Post fifteen, so you know that you're
no stranger to the shows that we put on at
vfw's and American Legions. We started putting on shows in
Tahlequah at I believe it was the American Legion there
before they shut down, and I think that's actually how
we met was one of those shows, and you were like,
(32:52):
I can't believe, like, you know, heavy like punk and
rock shows going on in my backyard, and we really stoked,
and so I came to the idea of it because
funnily enough, we went and played Me and my partner
went and played Bingo there, and I was like, this
is a huge venue, like so I got to talking
to him about it, and they were really excited at
the Notion because they just haven't had a lot of
foot traffic coming through. So that's also a way that
(33:14):
I can support, you know, that venue because local support local.
You know, we kind of scratch shows back and hopefully
if Ducas goes good, we can put on more shows
there and continue to have shows at this you know,
at the American Legion Post fifteen.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
I've got the flyer on the screen now, yep, Loud
and Local Fest. It's going to be in Muskogee, twenty
dollars for a two day pass. This is an all
ages show for twenty one and over for the bar
obviously May second and May third. Can you tell me
a little bit about the bands?
Speaker 6 (33:48):
Yeah, so maybe second we've got she Hates Me not headlining.
They really need no introduction. You just played their newest single,
which was a smash.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
This so heavy.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
H The reason I put those guys on cause Tooth,
my band Savery Tooth. We played with them at the
Vanguard probably a little over a year ago when those
guys first started kind of like on the come up
and we're talking over three hundred people. That's what was packed.
I mean, this is the Vanguard, and those kids got rowdy,
like they're so heavy, they're so energy filled, and I
was like, dude, I got to get these guys on
(34:18):
next year's Loud and Local, and they were really stoked
about the idea of coming on So Death's Dream. They're
still a little while behind the ears. They're super heavy,
great guys, and they're all muscoge locals. That's another thing.
Every single one of these bands are locals. They're all
from either of Muskogee, Tulsa, Tallaquah, or The City Dragons.
(34:40):
Keep is a doom metal band also out of Muscoge.
I played drums for them, kres Taban kind of them
on the post hardcore side of things, kind of keep
them that like that kill switching gauge metal court thing
alive and I'm really living for it. Flashpoint straight punk
their kids as well. I mean a lot of these
bands are like bands that are on the come up
(35:01):
that you know, I think personally, just if I like
your music and I want to see you live and
I want to play with you, You're gonna be on
loud and Local, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
I love it, and some of these folks will feel
like I mean, you can hear the garage and in
the best way because it's just so raw and gritty.
Tell us a little bit about Saturday.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
Right, So Saturday is when, like, I mean, these are
this is kind of like my legendary lineup. I was
able to wrangle up when the clock strikes to come
out and headline. Those dudes are legends. They're for Muskogie
and they were one of the first bands I ever
saw that was local, that I saw live when I
was probably about fourteen or fifteen years old, and I
remember seeing them at that time and being like, I
(35:45):
want to be on the same bill as them one day.
And now they're headlining my festival on Saturday night, which
is just amazing. I could not be more grateful for
those guys to find in their time to come out
and play. Saber Tooth, that's my band, my festival, My
band gotta play. I gotta be on there, man, and
we you know we are. We're kind of ecliptic mix
(36:05):
of a bunch of different bands, a bunch of different sounds,
but we like to do our own style and it
resonates with a lot of people. Escape Control heavy metal Titans,
those dudes have been around since the early two thousands.
They're also on muscoge Locals and actually Matt Hunter of
Escape Control this will be his third year. M scene
for the show, and I finally was able to find
it in their schedule where they could come out because
(36:27):
those guys are so busy. Oklahoma Blood gets a lot
of love in this scene.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Man.
Speaker 6 (36:31):
I know you guys are all really good fans of them,
and they're they're great guys. I love their sound. They're
also really big on the kill switch on the heavy stuff, man,
and they keep the energy live. A Weighted World is
a band from OKC pop punk and they're really good
buddies of mine. And I was like, man, you know
they're from the city. I want to have them come
down and see how we throw down here. Because they've
(36:53):
never been to m skogie. They don't really get told
so much, so I wanted them to be able to
see how rowdy and how much fun you can have
down here.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
I freaking love it, man. Two days of just heavy
local music and eclectic mix of all around the genre.
That's going to be at the American Legion Post fifteen
in Muskogee, four zero two to one West Broadway Street,
doors at five thirty. Music starts at six thirty. Once again,
(37:24):
that's twenty dollars for a two day pass. You can't
beat that. Man, tell me a little bit about planning
this year versus the first two years.
Speaker 6 (37:38):
So specifically the first year. There's a big learning curve
with putting, Like like I'd put on a couple of
local shows and you know, some smaller things, but there's
a lot that goes into like sponsorship deals and just
the grind of finding businesses that want to support and
the grind of you know, finding a spot that can
support having you know, a large crowd come out, because
(38:02):
I mean you're talking over you know, two hundred people
or more in a space like Muskogee can be kind
of tough, especially if you're not doing the outdoor thing.
A lot of learning curve, a lot of you know,
just putting foot to concrete and going all right, we're
gonna do the grassroots thing like a lot of I
don't feel like a lot of people will just go
out and put flyers anymore. Like the social media thing
(38:22):
is a big game. But you go out and you
just hand people flyers and you put a face to
it and you go, oh, like I have interacted with
a person putting this on and they're playing the music.
I feel like a lot of times, man, people are
more likely to come out because they put a face
to it and they go, oh, this isn't just a
person typing away, you know. I mean it's kind of
like with your podcast. People have a face and you
go out and you meet people and people are like, man,
(38:43):
I really like Adam and I like what he does,
and you know, they can put a face to it.
So big learning curve this year. I feel like I've
kind of hit my stride.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Man.
Speaker 6 (38:52):
It's feeling good being able to do two days and
ten bands. I'm very excited for this year. I think
it's gonna be something major.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
Just keep growing absolutely, And as you said, you guys
have been playing as a band for quite a while,
and I've always felt since you first came out, you
guys have carried a lot of steam as you put
from album to album, track to track. Yeah. Also traveling
the country, you played some of some of the venues
(39:23):
that everybody dreams of when they say, you know what,
I want to be a band. But these are some
of the historical places. Do you have any venues that
stand out to you as a favorite place as you've toured.
Speaker 6 (39:38):
Oh, I think that, like it's probably a little bit
of a on the nose answer, But the Whiskey in California,
getting to play it on Sunday, that was legendary. We
opened up for Annville, which anybody who listens to metal
knows that Annville they started the wave. They're one of
those bands that's like, you know, Metallico opened up for Annville,
you know, in the early days, and then the next
(39:59):
year Andel was opening for Metallica type thing. But I
mean they started that wave of like this really heavy metal,
especially in the California scene, that other Canadian but I
mean even just around that, they were really really big influence.
So getting to play with those guys and open up
for him at the Whiskey was just legendary. And that
I mean, I don't know if it's very hard, it'll
be hard to top that.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
So after going and playing the Whiskey and opening up
for some of those other bands, how does that affect
you in how you put on this event Because you've
done it for several years, but you've also toured, so
you've had a little experience in both worlds.
Speaker 6 (40:40):
A big thing for me is as a musician, I'm
kind of a musician first, so as many great experiences
as I've had playing different venues and things like that.
You do have some experiences that aren't still, especially out
on the road. You have some people who think, you know, sadly,
they're never going to see this band again, so they
don't really worry if they give them the shaft. And
(41:01):
I'm a musician first, and I want to always make
sure that any bands that come through and play, they
get taken care of, and that they get paid and
they get a place to stay. Like I don't ever
want to leave anybody out of the rain, because I
myself have been left down in the rain. You know,
the Tooth Boys, We've been left down in the rain.
So we always want to make sure everybody get taken
care of it, has a good time, and try to fit,
you know, let everybody know, like stick around, stay for
(41:22):
all the bands. You know, don't come just see the
band you want to see, because you might come and
find your new favorite band. If you make it for
the opener, you might go, oh my god, these guys
are awesome and you might get to catch them before
they're headline in the next show.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
You know, I love it, man, So tell me you've
you've done. This is going to be your third year.
You're four weeks away, give or take from this event.
Do you have any other events that you're molding around
or you've got ambitions for something bigger?
Speaker 6 (41:53):
I admittedly do.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (41:56):
I have been rubbed elbows and talking to a lot
of different like national acts. I'm wanting to kind of
get into maybe having some some like notable acts come
through and maybe book them around like the Muskogi area.
I think it'd be really cool to branch off into
having a type of festival with some national acts in
the Muscogi area. Like, if there's enough demand, enough people
(42:17):
are coming out to a lot in local maybe in
the next couple of years we can have some some
national acts come through and headline and maybe do an
outdoor thing. I've talked to a couple of different bands,
and a couple of bands are very interested in coming through.
It's really just about getting to that point and finding
a spot that could accommodate that many people and the
type of bands that are wanting to come through. I
(42:37):
like it.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
So we do a lot of shows in Tulsa, but
doing one in Muskogee opens up our opportunities for you know,
the local support community. As that local music Satan starts
to thrive in its own say, if a business wants
to get involved, be a sponsor, or be a part
(43:01):
of the next Loud and Local fest, how do people
get a hold of you to be proactive?
Speaker 6 (43:08):
The best way would be to contact me directly. So
like social media like Facebook, I commented earlier on here,
anybody who wants to get a hold of me can
either do it through my personal page Declan scoon over
or through the Sabretooth page if they can follow us
on Facebook or Instagram and social media like that, if
they message us, we're the only ones who handle all
(43:29):
of that, so it'll all get back to me. So
that would be the best way too, as any of
my social media's.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Or saverordooths awesome, decclan, thank you so much for agreeing
to come on the show, and thank you so much
for having me as a sponsor for this festival. It's
something I believe in and you all know that I
absolutely love to support the Loud and Local and live community.
(43:56):
And you know we like to sum up every interview
by giving our guests a moment to just directly acknowledge
the folks that listen to your music that are going
to be joining you for this event, Declan, the stage
is yours.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
I just want to thank everybody for, you know, the
constant support of saber Tooth, the constant support of Loud
and Local. This is the third year and really for
a festival that's fresh, that's still very fresh, and I
hope this is continues for many more years to come.
And I want to thank all of you for continuing
to show up. And I really hope see all of you.
(44:34):
And if you see me at the show, come up,
say hi. Like I'm gonna be running all over the place,
but I'll always have a couple of seconds to say
what's up, shake somebody's hand, and just thank you for
coming out. So thank you guys for the cost of support.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
And I'm won't let you down, you know, Declan. Before
we go, I uh, I think I think we need
to hear some saber Tooth and you brought you brought
a musical feature with you, so I tell you want
why don't you introduce and take us into this next musical.
Speaker 6 (45:04):
Break hold on well, Thank you again guys, and without
further ado, this is our single Sledge from Sabertooth and
I'm Jacklan. Thank you and thank you Adam.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
M h.
Speaker 6 (45:58):

Speaker 1 (46:00):

Speaker 1 (46:19):

Speaker 6 (46:25):
If that was free.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Back killed a person went to.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
Just see how it was. They said to take die
(46:57):
the anybody died when your fly, well you say it's
s ten years and sign. That's the two sonally say
(47:49):

son just got center ride a.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
What the body saying? No way good? What's going on
the floor. Tell a person with amber call my a

Speaker 4 (48:38):
The d said they died.
Speaker 5 (48:41):
The body everybody died when you're amber maid.
Speaker 4 (48:52):
Oh you see is sils.
Speaker 7 (50:05):
And that was saber tooth with sledge studio on it.
Speaker 6 (50:18):
Sad man.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Give it up, Give it up for declan, give it
up for the guys. And you know what, one more
time time give it up for loud and local fest
coming at you May second and third. I can't wait
to be there. You know what. We will be there
set up, we'll be slinging shirts and we will also
try to do go live from time to time at
(50:42):
that event. We are so glad to see so many
local bands celebrating all that is loud and local. It's
going to be at the American Legion Post fifteen in muskoge.
We hope to see everyone there. Twenty dollars for your
tickets for two days, you know what. Speaking of coming events,
(51:04):
before we wind down the show, we have to talk
a little bit about the upcoming celebration. I was so excited.
Let me make sure I can find it. Where is
it at? And I Angela and I produced this lovely
(51:27):
if I may say so myself, Flyer to commemorate ten
years of Mayhem the Surviving Rock Oklahoma Podcast. We are
so excited to be rocking out at the Shrine Memorial
Day weekend, May twenty fourth, and we are going to
(51:52):
be joined by four great bands, now Nova. You may
not have heard much from this band yet, they are
up and coming, and I'm so glad to see Shane
and Crewe in their new musical project now also playing
(52:14):
that festival from Roklahoma two thousand and twenty two winners
of the Battle of the Bands, the Normandys, are going
to be playing, followed by a band that played Rockklahoma
two thousand and twenty three, coming out You from Houston, Texas.
(52:36):
Even in Death will be joining us at the Shrine
May twenty fourth, where we are also going to be
joined by Crimson Love ahead of their Rockklahoma debut this
year twenty twenty five. They will be playing on the
(52:56):
deb concert stage inside of the Row Old House. Hey Doug,
what do you think about these guys? Yeah, they're going
to be rocking us first at the Shrine on Labor
Day or excuse me, Memorial Day weekend. I want to
thank all of our sponsors for helping put this together.
(53:17):
Of course, Angel photography by Angel Lee has been crucial
in helping me make the decisions that I need make
again getting all of this stuff together. I also want
to thank Tyler for everything he's done in helping me
(53:39):
line out the bands and get a hold of everybody.
Let's not forget the Oklahoma Bitches and Rokaved for supporting
us in this adventure, and the Lika Daddy or Prior
Oklahoma Prior Liquors and the Big Old Bus have also
been crucial in getting us all lined out as we
(54:06):
get this event planned out. And also want to thank
my good friend Justin of Full Blood, who is going
to be in attendance for this event and helping us
do some interviews and do some of the video production
that I don't really I can't really do anymore. So
we also are going to have some shirts made up
(54:28):
from metalcore clothing, and we are going to be donating
twenty percent of all merch we sell at the event.
Are going to be going back to the bands that
are playing, because you know what, this is how you
support local music. You buy that swag, you buy that merch,
(54:49):
and you help put gas in the tanks of the
bands that come and play these musical events. So I
am so excited to see all of you folks May
twenty fourth at the Shrine for ten years of Mayhem
as we celebrate surviving Rocklahoma, covering Rocklahoma music community for
(55:16):
ten years. Also, my co hostess with the Most Christi Gross,
will be there, so you know we will be representing
Camp Marti Gras in full effect as Camp Martigrass celebrated
ten years as a campsite this past year at Rocklahoma
twenty and twenty four. You know what, I tell you
(55:38):
what would also be some fun I got an idea,
so a lot of you bands. Excuse me of a
lot of you camps that go all out for your
campsite and we get the swag, get the we get
the wrist bands, and we get the T shirts. I
would like to invite everybody, since we're going to be
(56:01):
partying just like we always did at Memorial Day weekend
before moved till the Labor Day, let's do a swag
swap as well. So why don't you all go ahead
and bring your campsite swag and we'll have a swag
swap out in the parking lot. So I think that
would be awesome to see all of the campsites come
(56:23):
out there and bring their merge and the things that
they do to support their campsites and keep the Ocklahoma
spirit going. That's why we love the festival so much,
is because we all get to be extra. We all
get to express ourselves and have a lot of fun
(56:44):
supporting each other. Remember, folks, before as we wind down
the show, I like to take a moment at the
beg just to say thank you. Thank you each and
every one of you all for setting down and spending
your Monday night with me. Thank you for everything you

(01:00:53):

from She Hates Me Not. So I think it is
time for us to go ahead and call it a
night because we came, we saw, and we rocked. And
so on that note on behalf of Prior Liquors, Wines
and Spirits, Cheers tastes like a mounday. And with that said, folks,
(01:03:11):
stay on the positive side of life and until next time,
rock on.
