a great easter. Everybody had a chill and elevated for

twenty as well as passing your surprise drug tests. Today
on the twenty first of April, it is a Monday night,
nine pm, and this is when we usually go live
and we have a drink, talk about the local rock

(02:45):
music scene, and jam out to a couple of tunes.
And this week's going to be no different. I've actually
got a couple that's going to be out of the
ordinary air for us on the podcast. I got a
couple of heavy tracks. Because y'all like it heavy, We're
going to give it to you heavy. So we've got
a couple of face melting tracks, one from Escape Control,

(03:12):

here the next couple of weeks. As well as some
of my favorites who have been on this scene recently,
Tyrannis Happy belated for twenty to you, as well as

Speaker 2 (03:44):
You know what, we are actually getting started on planning
our campsite party this year for our eleventh Camp Marti Gras.
We are one of the two longest running campsite parties
at Rocklaholma Music Festival Labor Day weekend. I see Darren

(04:07):
Pilkington saying he's putting some finishing touches on the latest
version of the map and we'll have it posted on
the website before tonight's show is over. Thank you so much,
Darren for everything you do for the campgrounds map. I
could not maintain it without your buddy of a white

(04:30):
says A if you know, you know Heath, what is up?
Black Pearl is in the camp in the chat?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
What is up? You know what? I tell you what.
Let's go ahead while we are at it.

that Rockklahoma stage.

So thank you so much, Doug for all of your
support over the years. We also want to give a
huge shout out to At your Service Rental, your official
purveyors of the Pooh Shacks, Brett and the Pooh Crew.

(05:51):
We're happy to put up with all of our shit
well for a small fee. In addition to being the
folks who supply all of the portable restrooms for Rocklaholma
Music Festival and the sanitation station, they are also the
folks where you can get your own portable restroom for

(06:13):
your campsite. I haven't ever been to another festival where
you can do this, but you can get your own
portable camps portable restroom for your campsite. You can even
get you a swimming pool with clean fresh water to
keep you cool throughout the festival. You can do that
by hollering at at your Service rentals.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You don't want to be like.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
That guy stuck out in the back, out in the dark,
looking for.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
A place to drop the deuce. What are you doing
over there?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Yeah, I didn't call at your service, Rentols. Also, we
want to give a huge congratulation to the newest Rocklahoma
sponsor or Rockama partner.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Roklahoma Bitches.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
We are so glad to know and have the support
of the Roklahoma Bitches and everything they do to keep
the spirits high in the Roklahoma campgrounds. Once again, congratulations
on making that partner status on the Oklahoma website.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
We also want.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
To thank our proud partner, Rebel of Photography by Rebel
Lee bringing us the stunning images of O Oklahoma and
other festivals. You can see all of those images by
going to photography by Angel Lee on Facebook. I was

(07:57):
looking up some of the information and statistics from us
that we have covered over the years, and Angel has
covered over one hundred and fifty artists while working with
Surviving Rocklaholme and she put out a new image and

(08:21):
I absolutely love that. Thank you so much, Angel for
setting up this photo shoot. This was at the Terps
and Chains event in Tulsa. This past month and myself,
Jason Polk, Christian Hopkins and I believe that's Luke out there.

(08:48):
We all got out there and had some fun on
the kayaks. And thank you so much Angel for that shot.
And remember, folks, bands, if you are looking to get
those sick headshots, those great images of your band, be
sure to book. Angel is an experienced concert photographer, but

(09:10):
she's also got some other services that she will be introducing,
including a contest or excuse me, not a contest, an auction.
Where are going to be auctioning off a prize at
the ten Years of Mayhem event this Memorial Day weekend?

(09:36):
We will give you We will give you details here
a little bit later in the show.

We've been working with for six years and we've given
away over two hundred passes to veter ends and first
responders and Blue and Gold Star families as their mission

(10:08):
is to give the music that is medicine to our veterans.
And I am always so happy to work with these
guys and is so fulfilling for me. Now we have
also been proud to be working with them in a giveaway. Now,

(10:31):
what is this giveaway? You ask, Well, if you've been
following this show, you've been collecting code words and code phrases.
Because Independence Day they are going to be giving away
a GA weekend pass to Rockklahoma and it's easy to qualify.

(10:53):
All of you got to do is keep track of
the code word or code phrase. This week's is got
your six? Got your six is the Rockavet code? Make
sure you write that down if you're keeping those. We
will have instructions later on how to submit your codes

(11:17):
and how all of that works. We will get with
Rock Evet soon. But remember, folks, until for now, you
are collecting your Rockavet code. If you missed one, all
you got to do is go back and watch previous
episode to get those code words. Also, folks, we want

(11:39):
to give a shout out to the Big Old Bus
who's bringing a bus loaded debauchery to a music festival
near you and hopefully, and we're working on with Big
Old Bus to get a couple of other festivals on
their radar as well, so be sure that you check

(11:59):
them out on face Facebook. Big Old Bus has uh
they always have the party going every year at Rockklahoma,
and they are also sponsors of the Oklahoma Campgrounds map
that Darren has been working.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
With us for. We have a full.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Directory of all of the campsites that are going to
be throwing, throwing parties and decorating and going a little extra,
going all out at their campsite, as well as the
folks who are throwing parties or events or giveaways or contests, games, funds, shenanigans.

(12:42):
You can find it all on the Rocklahoma Campgrounds Map.
All you gotta do is go to Surviving rock Olahoma
dot com and click on the Oklahoma Survival Guide and
there you'll find the map. You'll find some resources, and
you'll even find a Spotify playlist that was curated by

(13:04):
the set list guy that will feature all of the
bands on your lineup and the current set lists they
are using. And it's pretty cool how he maintains all
of that. But you will definitely get an idea of
who will be excuse me, what they will be playing

(13:25):
at Rock Oklahoma. Also, we want to give a shout
out to Metal Core Clothing who will be supplying us
with some threads for this year, as we will be
selling merch and shirts to help fund the adventures and
fund the podcast, and we will have some official shirts

(13:51):
that are going to mirror the flyer for the ten
Years of Mayhem event taking place at the Shrine May
twenty fourth with a couple of Rockahoma alumni. This is
going to be a great time for you to get
your Surviving Rocklaholma merch and we'll have some official shirts

(14:14):
by metal Core Clothing. Remember, folks, campsites, I know a
lot of you camps like to get some swag put together.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
You want.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
You like to get shirts and sale shirts to help
fund your party and the decorations and the madness that
you guys are brain and storming for Rockklahoma. Be sure
you check out metal Core Clothing for your merchandising needs
and be sure you tell them Adam from Surviving Oklahoma Sentia.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
We also want.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
To give a special highlight tonight because we've got our
featured sponsor in one of our newest sponsors for the podcast,
Paul let Haas of uh.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Let me see what is that? K W.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Real team. Let me get the address for you. I
had it and then I closed out the window like
a goofball. But she definitely is going to be the
one to hook you up with some amazing real ty needs.
And we are so proud to be working with our
good friend Paulette As. Let me tell you when I

(15:33):
when I tell you she is the realtor that rocks.
Paulette is also the basis of Dime Store Riot and
Fist of Rage, both of which will be playing rock
Olaholma this year. So she said, you know what, we

(15:53):
would like to partner up with Surviving rock Olahoma and
uh give a sponsorship a go, and I said absolutely so,
thank you so much to paul Lette. We will have
more information. I'm going to have that official website here
in a second.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
There it is.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I messed up last week and I didn't give the website,
but there it is all right. But we will definitely
be doing adding that to our Facebook. But yeah, if
you've got a sick pad, if you've got a place
that you're going to be offloading, or you looking to

(16:40):
upgrade your pad, well get you a place that kicks
ass and go by going through the realtor that rocks,
and that's paul at Haas.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
We will get you a link shortly.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
You can find her logo there at the bottom of
the screen as well. That all being said, folks, I
think that takes care of all of our sponsors. Remember, folks,
if you would like to sponsor the show shoots an
email surviving Rocklaholma at gmail dot com. For you can
just do what you're doing right now. You can participate

(17:16):
in the comments if you see that little option down
there to donate stars. What those are our little bits,
little pieces, little coins, and those are cybercurrency, and that
is how we monetize the live stream. And as a
thank you, as a reward for all of you who

(17:39):
compete for that coveted top spot, the person with the
most Stars scent at the end of each episode will
qualify for our monthly giveaway.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
And that is one.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Last month, we gave away two passes to the upcoming
ten Years of Mayhem event at the Shrine. So thank
you all of you who are participating in the Stars Wars. Remember,

(18:20):
each week, the winner of the Stars Wars will qualify for.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
A monthly giveaway.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
With that being said, we've been flapping our gums a bit,
giving our thanks and paying the armed dues. Tonight's episode
is going to be mostly geared towards what is coming
up with the coming up in the local music scene.
We have got let's see, we've got three events in May,

(18:52):
an event in June, a new event in August, which
you know what speaking of, I had a couple of
friends that have that went out to this festival put
on by the fine folks who invited us to the

(19:17):

this year's Turp Float Festival, the fifth year that they've
been doing the Urp Float, they will be making the
return to Diamond Head Resort in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. They say

(19:40):
to save these dates June thirty first through the second,
returning to Diamond Head Resort to celebrate its fifth year

Oklahoma's best cannabis brands, food trucks, and a whole lot more.
You can find more information on Facebook.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
But we are so.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Proud to know that Rockavett is already announced that they
will be a proud partner and we'll be linking up
with the Turp Float Festival. I am seeing your comments

(20:39):
in there. I'm saying that the Stars isn't working. Oh no,
Oh well, well I probably will not be able to
mess with the stars without interrupting the streams. So I

(21:00):
tell you what the other thing if you want, you're good.
You can always cash app Surviving Rockklahoma. That works as well. Uh,
what's up, Chris, Welcome to the stream. Good to see

thirty minutes into the show, So what do you say
we go ahead and dive into some tunes. Now, there
is a festival that is going to be coming up
here in the next couple of weeks, and I am

(22:07):

loud and local Festival. They've been doing this for several
years ago in the town of Muscogee, So you guys

Speaker 2 (26:57):
You can catch that band Escape Control coming up here
in a couple of weeks in Muscogee at Loud and
Local Fest. It's going to be a heavy one folks,
but there is a mix of everything, so come out
and join us. I will be there and we hope
to see all of you as well. This will be

(27:18):
the next event to show up and show out for.
I can't wait to see everybody at the American Legion
Post fifteen in Muscogee. Now after that, folks, we've got
another event coming up that was just put on my
radar recently, and that is going to be an event

(27:40):

Speaker 2 (27:57):
This is an all ages events, So if you got
the little metal heads that have been looking for a
concert to go see, this is one that you can
take the little moshers with you Thursday, May fifteenth.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
It's going to be an amazing event.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I am always proud to represent she Hates Me Not
These guys are heavy, heavy kid musicians and for their age,
I mean, they are so ahead of the curves, So
I can't wait to be at that event. You know what,
there's another event on the horizon that I am so

(28:37):
excited for. And we've been doing the Facebook page, the
page itself since two thousand and fifteen, and the podcast
came a year or two later, I want to say
two or three years later actually, and that's when it

(28:58):
became a full flow podcast. But ever since we launched
this page, it has just been so awesome to connect
with the community and help be a part of organizing
all of the chaos that goes on in the campgrounds.
And this year we are celebrating exactly that with our

(29:25):
surviving Roklahoma ten years of Mayhem that will be taking
place at the Venue Shrine. We've got some folks that
have been playing Roklahoma for years. We've got the Normandys
who have won Battle of the Bands multiple times. This

(29:47):
will be their third or yeah, they've played Rock Kahoma
three times. A few years ago we met a band
from the d the concert stage, including a good person
that would be I consider a good friend of mine,

(30:07):
Sean Nations, And any time he is in the media area,
it's always a party. And I've always said if I
ever get to have my own event, I want that
guy to play my stage. So coming at you with
a throwback to Roklahoma twenty twenty three, Even in Death

(30:32):
will be playing. We will also be joined by Crimson Love,
who will be making their first Roklahoma appearance this year.
They've been playing a lot of shows there in the
Tulsa area and making waves, so we are so glad
to have Crimson Love express their interest in playing our

(30:56):
show so you can catch them day weekend. We've also
got Nova with one of their first appearances. So we
got something new, something old, something out of town, and
we've got somebody who's making a debut.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
We got a little bit.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Of everything at the ten Years of Mayhem event, and
I want to thank our sponsors so much. Each one
of those sponsors listed on this flyer has brought something
extra special to the show. Everybody from Full Blood Clothing

(31:38):
for giving us, giving us the idea of putting an event,
as well as my good professional partner in crime, Angel
who has been helping organize the chaos and getting all
of this stuff coming together. Let's not forget get Rockavett

(32:01):
for being one of the first ones to jump in
head first and say hey, I want to help out,
as well as the Ron Klahoma bitches and the Big
Old Bus, not to forget the Likidaddia Prior, Monni Prior
Liquor Wines and Spirits, and Christi of Camp Marty Graw,

(32:23):
who we've been bringing you a party every year for
the last eleven years. And let's not forget Tyler of
Thick Productions for his assistance and putting this thing together.
For without this dream team, my brain trust as I

(32:44):
call them, I wouldn't be able to do half the
things we do here.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
At the show.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
So I am so glad to have all of these
folks volunteer to be a part of this celebration. And
it's going to be more than just a concert, folks,
this is this is going to be a rock party.
This is a birthday bash.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
We've got a couple of us are going to be
celebrating our birthdays that same weekend. I know both of
the Christie's in the Comminents Misfit and one of the
Rock Klahoma bitches their birthday is that same day. My

(33:27):
birthday is the week after, and Rebel's birthday is a
couple of weeks before, so you know what, this is
also going to be a birthday bash, and let's not
forget folks, this is also going to be a time
when all of the Rock family gets together. So if

(33:50):
you are going to be getting your swag for your
camp sites, this would be a good time for swag
swap where we could exchange or if you would like
to be a part of some giveaways you can get
with us as we would like to put some things

(34:12):
together from all of the camps. Yes, rebels Is first
will be kicking off the Gemini. Well she's not a
Gemini though, but she's an honorary Gemini. It makes my
heart absolutely float to see that logo in there.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Of course. Of course, alrighty folks, we.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Are also going to have a couple of options going
on at that benefit as well. We are going to
be using this as a time to help us fundraise
some of the operations that we do for these festivals.

(35:01):
You know, for example, Angel has to drive like four
hours and from Missouri to come and see.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
One of these events.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
I'm about an hour from everywhere, and the big o'bus
for example, you know, literally for us to help fund
the fun as we try to facilitate a good time
for all of you. Find folks who love to party

(35:32):
with us, not only at Oklahoma, but other music festivals
as well. Shannon'll be in a Yellowstone, but they'll be
here in spirit.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Rod Grants.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
I'm two hours away from Tulsen, three hours away from Oklahoma.
You know what I see, Licidetty is in the comments,
And we didn't do this at the top of the show,
so you know what, I think it's about time for
us to go it ahead as well.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Now you know I went.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
I don't know about you guys, but I am. I
have a bad habit and it's gas stations, fountain drinks.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
And the hot bars and stuff.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Well, I discovered a new favorite beverage at my local
gas station and it's a delicious slushy. And you know
what goes better. The only thing that can make it
better is some of that Tito's that I got from
my good friend in prior Oklahoma, prior liquor wines and spirits.

(36:41):
They got all of the SuDS to keep me sauce
and all the spirits despike my favorite beverages to put
a little kick make my liver quiver. So one of
you guys enjoying in the comments. You drop it in
the comments and let us know what you guys are
have been on but on behalf of prior liquor Wines

(37:03):
and spirits. Cheers everybody, m and a huge shout out
by it for getting me hooked on Tito's because if
you had uh, if you've had Tito's there's I mean
on a road trip.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Oh my gosh. Uh oh there we go. It looks
like I.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Lost stream for a second. Hopefully we are back in there.
But uh yeah, cheers my friend captain and Coke of
course looking forward to look at that is wine tasting. Yes,
that wine tasting. I am definitely excited about that one
as well. So you know what, I tell you what

(37:55):
we've we've been talking about the upcoming gig, in the
upcoming concerts coming up. There's another one coming up here
in June. Speaking of she Hates Me Not. They also
put this one on my radar. This one is going

(38:15):
to be at the Vaneguard and I tell you I
love this venue. I love, love love The Vanguard is
such an awesome venue to watch some local music. They've
got the balcony, they've got great bartenders, great floor and
everything about it. Parking is close. This event is going

(38:38):
to be Sunday, June twenty second.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
She hates me not.

Speaker 2 (38:44):

of years to go towards the Lahoma Scavenger Hunt, the
grand prize that we hear it, Survive of Rocklaholma and
myself an angel go out and we get signatures on
these guitars of every person that we encounter in the
media tent and we auction that off. So you guys

competition is very fierce, and but you know what, with
a prize like that, you have to work for it.
