break off a couple of local music features right here
on the show, including City of the Week and Zimmerou

tasty tunes to tryout. We are also going to be
joined by a special guest tonight. Josh Berner from Turp
Float Festival is going to be joining us a little
bit in the show. I want to thank all of
you guys for hanging in there as we were a

(04:02):
little bit late getting the live stream started tonight. At
the last minute, I found the grimlin that was plaguing
us the last couple of weeks. Get out of hair,
you grimlins. We found you, we exterminated you, and hopefully
we don't have to see too many of them tonight.

(04:23):
We've got a lot loud and clear and smooth live
stream right now, let me go into the comments while
you all are sounding off. We've already got a couple
dozen live viewers. What's up Casey Shaver the Christmas treecat
guys shut up to tannem Bomb Graphics who did manifested

(04:44):
our gremlins for us. I also see Jessica Heather, our
own rebel Angel Love photography by Angel Lee's and the comments.
My co host is with the most is Christy Gross

another rebel rebel Lynn Is in the comments, Christopher Mendy,

(05:04):
Billy Taylor, what's going on? Thirty seven days to Rockleholme,
Oh my gosh, what is up to? Jennifer Haddigs And
huge shout out to Jennifer for that Lulwell that they
threw at their property this weekend. I had to miss
a majority of it, that I was still able to

(05:25):
pop in there for a couple of hours, and it
was so great seeing our rock family at the Headaches property.
And we are also going to have our Rockaholma Bitches
code that we're going to be given away here in
a little bit. I see him, So I'm getting off now.

(05:47):
I just now got the code word for tonight. So
I tell you what before I give that out, I
tell you what. Let's go ahead and do this. We
are going to pay amish to our sponsors here one moment.
Let me get this code word ready there, we are already, folks.

(06:16):
First up, we want to give a shout out to
dB Concerts, who answers the question what do you want
to do with your life a lot and Rocky will
be doing at the Roadhouse this year at Rockklahoma. Their
stage moved a little bit south but closer to the

(06:37):
GA gate, so you don't have to walk as far.
If you're coming from the campgrounds to see that pre
party and those after parties at the d EB concert stage,
make sure that you check them out. We've got some
great bands that's going to be playing there, including several
locals like the local cover band Rocket Science, It's Crimson Love,

(07:02):
Dime Store, Riot, Fist of Rage, and a host of others.
We can't wait to see everybody this year at Rockklahoma,
and remember that pre party will be taking place at
the deb concert stage inside the Roadhouse. Also, I want
to give us a shout out to At your Service
Renolds for Bretton the Pooh cru has been putting up

(07:25):
with our ship for several years and they are not
showing any sign of slowing down. They are your official
purveyors of the Pooh Shacks and you can get your
own for your campsite along with a swimming pool with crisp,
clean clear water, as it will help you beat the

(07:45):
heat on that weekend. So if you would like to
get your personal services for your campsite, make sure you
holler at at your Service Rentals. You don't want to
be like that guy looking for a place to go poop.
What are you doing over there, buddy? Yeah, I didn't
call at your Service Rentals. Also, when we get a
shout out to the newest Rockklahoma partner amongst our rock family,

(08:10):
the Rock Olahoma Bitches who has been keeping you know,
the spirit alive for several years, longer than I've been
going to Rockklahoma. These girls have been around proud supporters
of the community, and you know what, they are also
going to be giving away a contest and they've asked

(08:32):
us to be a part of this contest by giving
away the code words, much like we did for Rockavet. However,
this is for anybody. This is an open invitation to
compete for the Rocklahoma Bitches rock Star experience, as they're
going to be giving away a very covetive expensive pair

(08:56):
of rock Star VNP passes to Rockklahoma. And all you've
got to do thus far is to collect the code words.
Now we've given a couple of code words away and
this week we're going to touch a little close to
home from us at Camp Marti Gras. We are so

(09:19):
glad to give you the code this week is Marti Gras.
Marti Gras is your code word. Make sure you are
keeping track of these code words because the here in
about five more weeks, they are going to be announcing

(09:39):
how to submit those and who will be winning. And
they are also our one of our proud donators of
the top prize for the Rockklahoma Scavenger Hunt. You will
be able to see those guitars as we are getting
them signed from all of the artists that we encounter
in the radio in the media air and you will

(10:01):
be able to see those progress for the first time
ever via our radio booth where they will be displayed
over the course of the weekend. We can't wait to
see everybody there. We also want to recognize our proud
partner and sponsor, photography by Angel Lee bringing you those

(10:22):
stunning images of Roklahoma and some of the other events
that we've covered over the last four years as we've
traveled the country not once but twice seeing music festivals abroad.
There's some photos from the Turps and Chains event. Remember

(10:45):
we've got the Turp float coming up just around the
River's bend. And there's also some photos from Rock to Equinox.
You can go farther back all the way to Rockklahoma
and Rock Island. We are so glad to have photography
by angeleea as a partner and she's been working on

(11:06):
some projects with us. Can't wait for you guys to
see what we've got coming up in the next couple
of weeks. We also want to give a shout out
to rockavet Now. Rockavette is our the five oh one
charity that gives back to the veterans who believes music

(11:29):
is medicine and that is their mission to provide that
medicine to our veterans, our first responders, and Blue Star
and Gold Star families. They support the military community and
as we try to spread music, as they treat mental health,

(11:52):
awareness and all of those other things. We've given away
over two hundred passes alongside that group, so huge shout
out to them and all the great work they do.
Remember they've gone in an event coming up next year
and they are looking for submissions, so make sure you
check out their Facebook page so you can see how

(12:14):
you can get involved with their first ever festival coming
Memorial Day of next year. Kurt, that is Rock Event.
We also want to give a shout out to the
Big Old the Big Old Bus who brings a busloaded
debauchery to a festival near you, not just Rocklaholma, but

(12:35):
Rock the Equinox as well. However, I do have some
sad noise news to report. Unfortunately, the Big Old Bus
will not be able to make it to the Terp
float and it's purely for medical reasons, folks, So she
wanted to, but you know, surgeries, they got to take

(12:56):
place when they do all as well. It's just one
of those things that has to be done. But unfortunately
the schedules conflicted, and as we all know, family first
and we got to take care of ourselves. So she
wanted to be all recovered and as close to one
hundred percent as possible in time for Rockklahomas. So we

(13:17):
all do wish Shannon all the best and quick healing vibes,
as it is a non invasive, non serious surgery, is
just something that had to be done, so we love
you Shannon. Also, we also want to give some recognition

(13:38):
to Metalcore Clothing, who has been producing our T shirts.
You can visit the web store we got the link
in the comments. This is also where you can get
those limited edition photography by Angel Lee t shirts as

(13:59):

This is a veteran owned business as well as owned

(14:19):

Lacey and Jeremy Knight. We also want to give a
shout out to our newest sponsor if so, if any
of you all have a property or may be looking
to acquire some property, don't just get you a house

(14:39):

is Paulett dot kW dot com. And finally, folks, we

(15:21):

we crack open a cold one. We want to do
so on behalf of the sponsor that sells the SuDS

I'm going to be cracking open one of my standard beers. Now,

I have to use a koozie and I am so
proud to break open to debut our new coozies. And

(16:31):
those are courtesy of tannin Bomb Graphics and they're not

We've got several more that we are going to be
have available for purchase at our booth as well as

(16:52):
I might even give you a chance to win one tonight.
You never know, but I would suggest sharing the live

But with that being said, let's all together on behalf
of Prior Liquor Wines and Spirits and all of our
other sponsors. Cheers, everybody. Nothing kicks off on Monday night

(17:24):
like a nice yellow belly. And I'm not talking about
my dad, buddy. So you know, we've got a lot
to talk about, and you know what, we are already
making our way through the show. So we've got a
guest that is going to be joining us here in

(17:46):
a couple of minutes, and I see he looks like
he's already just about ready. Make sure I've got this
open correctly. There we go. All right with that being said, y'all,

(18:11):
you know, let me get my notes here. So as
I was saying, we have got some new koozies available
and I'm going to break those. Check these things out.
You can get your own right now. I want to
give a huge shout out once again to Casey of

(18:33):
tann and Bomb Graphics. We've got the link in the
description of this video, but we've got a debut product
on there that I'm extremely excited about. Folks, ladies and gentlemen.
Before we talk about it, I see our guest is

(18:56):

ahead and play some music, and when we come back,
we're gonna be joined by escape special guest.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
That was a City of the Week. Ladies and gentlemen
given up at the City of the Week with moving targets.
You know they're going to be playing a couple of
festivals coming up in the next couple of months. But
speaking of festivals coming up, my guest tonight has a

(22:57):
festival of his own coming up here at the end
of the month. And we had an amazing time at
Turps and Chains this year, and here in a couple
of weeks that Diamond Head resort will be the Terp Float.
Ladies and gentlemen, Josh Berner, what is up? Josh?

Speaker 7 (23:19):
Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 8 (23:20):
Adam Man?

Speaker 7 (23:20):
Thanks for having me on, and man, I really appreciate
it absolutely.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
I appreciate you making time to join us. You know,
we've this is the fifth year as I understand it
for Turp Float. Uh, tell me a little bit. How
did you come into all of this?

Speaker 7 (23:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (23:40):
Man, So this is year five for us, which is
pretty you know, huge for at least we think it
is for a small independent festival.

Speaker 7 (23:46):
To make it five years is pretty dope. It all
started five.

Speaker 8 (23:50):
Years ago, you know, the Oklahoma medical marijuana spire storm
had started. I guess you know, everybody was doing their thing.
I owned a small dispensary here in Tahlequah. I had
met my partner through that dispensary, essentially with the company
he worked for, and grown up, I had always went
to music festivals down on the river. You know, everybody's

(24:13):
been to them. There's a number of them and all
of the resorts, and it's just always something that's been fun.
You float the river, you get done, you have music,
you have camp, and you have friends. It's just something
I think everybody should experience. Man, it's a great time.
Not all the music was what we wanted, and we
wanted a way to kind of tie cannabis with music together,
and so Turtfloat was essentially born year one. It was

(24:34):
essentially a way for Oklahoma's medical patients to meet the
people that made their medicine and then enjoy some music
and some time together. Since then, it has evolved into
something much larger, which is amazing to say the least.
Last year we had people from thirty one different states
attending with intendants over six thousand people for year four

(24:55):
and it was Yeah, it was.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
Crazy, man. It just evolved. It's just a space that
we built just us alone.

Speaker 8 (25:00):
Man, the community that we have, the sponsors year after year,
all the turf floaters that keep coming back year after year,
that trust us enough to buy tickets, you know, and
that we're going to put on a good show.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
Man.

Speaker 8 (25:10):
That's the last thing we want to do is let
people down. So we work, you know, tirelessly for months
to try and pull this thing off for everybody.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
I like it now being a terp float. For those
of us who take it at name value, it's going
to be of You know, the festival blends music, floating
and cannabis friendly atmosphere. As you outline, how do these
unique elements create such a distinct experience compared to other.

Speaker 8 (25:35):
Festivals, Man, I just think it's the camaraderie of the
people that come to the festival.

Speaker 7 (25:42):
It's the people that make the festival.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
Yes, the music helps, the amount of vendors helps, the
food trucks help, the events such as floating help, but
it's the people that show up that really make the
festival man. And so you build that type of atmosphere,
You bring the music that they like, you bringing the
vendors that they like, and then the word.

Speaker 7 (25:58):
Kind of starts to spread. At other festivals, I know
that the majority.

Speaker 8 (26:03):
Of cannabis investors are not allowed, which is absolutely the
dumbest shit I've ever heard.

Speaker 7 (26:08):
If I can say that because it's money.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
Man, if you don't want someone to invest in your festival,
then why are you throwing you dude, It's not hard it's.

Speaker 7 (26:16):
Not like they're out there. I don't know what they
think they're doing.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
Man, it doesn't matter. But that's why we're very friendly
to all to everybody. Man, come out, anybody wants to
have a good time. Where about It will work with
you guys who want everybody to come out.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
You know, you've got some great headliners in there, although
there's some names that I we some of us may
not be too familiar with. We've got sun Squabby, dirt Wires,
Asquatch air Show, giant walking robots. Can you tell us
a bit about the vibe these artists bring to the
festival and what other genres or artists can attendees expects

(26:49):
to hear throughout the weekend.

Speaker 8 (26:53):
Yeah? Absolutely, man, So I will tell you now, the
music side of the portion of the festival is not
my strong point. My partner does no ninety five percent
of the booking. He's a master at what he does
with this stuff. I can give you the rundown though.
So we've got forty one different live music acts all weekend.
We have no overlapping sets across four stages. So we've
got a Firefighter Truck DJ set going on from twelve

(27:16):
to five on Friday and Saturday down by the river
at the Landing, So we will have a legit party
stage going down at the water every day. We've got
our main stage going, and then we've got our supplementary,
the turf stages we call it, on the side that
will be our overlay stage, So in between the main
acts of the main stage, we'll.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
Have thirty minute performances on the side stage.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
That way people still have something to listen to, and
it's not just you know, typical elevator music or whatever
they want to play in between dead sets at festivals.
So we've all we're going to keep the music going
pretty much from noon till about two or three in
the morning each day. As it spreads out everywhere outside
of the ones you mentioned, man, it goes everywhere from everything.
We've got bluegrass, some jam, funk, red dirt, some Americana,

(28:01):
EIGHTM obviously real heavy end.

Speaker 7 (28:03):
Of the night, just kind of a little bit for everything, man.

Speaker 8 (28:06):
A couple of local guys we like to bring out,
Casey West, one of my best friends, Joe Matt likes
to come out and play. You know, Joe's the local legend,
so he likes to come out, have a good time.
Some of the guys coming down on a tull. So
we've got our boys, Doctor Junior. I know you guys
are very familiar with They've closed out one night of
the festival for us every single year, so year five
we're gonna have him down.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
So there's just a little bit of stuff for everybody. Man,
if you want to come out.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
So you know the float floats in his name. Can
you describe the experience of floating down the Illinois River
during the festival. What's the typical duration? What what should
people bring to make their float enjoyable?

Speaker 7 (28:45):
Cool?

Speaker 8 (28:45):
So if you're going to float Man floating with us,
if you're on a kayak, you can make it anywhere
from I would say two to four hours.

Speaker 7 (28:52):
If you're gonna be on a raft, I.

Speaker 8 (28:54):
Can know how much you want to paddle, how much
you want to work, how much you pull over and party.
It could be anywhere from three to six. We do
try to recommend everybody off the water by six, as
that is when our most of our heavy music starts
and we want to see everyone to see the headliners.
But if you're coming down it's never flowed before, obviously
you want to bring water sunscreen. You want to bring

(29:16):
snacks for the water. That is very important. People forget
they need water and food for the river. It'll save
your life legitimately, but it's a good time man. Bring
waterproof a case or anything for your phone or your
valuable stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know. Diamond Head Resort is such a perfect setting.
I love that venue. One of aspects of the venues
making an ideal home for the Turf Float Festival.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Honestly, the layout. It's such a beautiful landscape out there.
For those of you who haven't seen it, even those
of you have, you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 8 (29:52):
It's you got the open fields big enough for the
festival grounds itself, so we're not kind of pancake in anywhere.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
It's got amazing camping on all.

Speaker 8 (30:01):
Sides of the festival ground, ranging from where we have
car camping down to the landing where you can camp beaches,
you can camp right up next to the water if
you would like to.

Speaker 7 (30:09):
And then the facilities right down there are top notch
as well.

Speaker 8 (30:12):
Just the on site cabins, the on site hotel rooms
for our VIPs and for our brands that are staying
with us, and then just the ability to work with
Diamond Head. They were purchased recently by the UKB tribe
here in Tahlequah and they've been amazing to work with.
So it's been awesome for us to share.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
That's awesome. You know you speak talking about camping. For camping,
I saw there's primitive RV spaces available. There's also electric
hookups are sold out. Can you elaborate a little bit
on the camping options and what should attends know if
they're bringing an RV or planning to brand tent to

(30:50):
camp like our generators allowed or what all can you have?

Speaker 7 (30:53):
Yeah? For sure easy.

Speaker 8 (30:55):
So for the camping breakdown, you'll see the map that
we have posted online. Will also be handing them out
at the gate as you show up. We'll have all
the areas marked just for safety.

Speaker 7 (31:04):
This year, for the.

Speaker 8 (31:05):
Amount of festival goers and campers that we have, we
have had to change it up a little bit. So
for everything past the festival grounds, it's just marked on
the map. You'll see that there are no cars there,
no cars camping allowed down there. It will be all
tent camping.

Speaker 7 (31:20):
We will allow you to drive down there, drop.

Speaker 8 (31:21):
Your stuff off and then you can move your car
back to the parking lot and set it there. And
if you want to park, buy your car, or in
your car, or you know, people like the car can't
buy the cars, that's perfectly fine. We have another section
of the property reserved strictly for car camping, very shaded
area underderneath all the trees.

Speaker 7 (31:38):
It's very nice. If you're bringing in an RV, you've
already paid for an RV spot, we'll have those number
for you.

Speaker 8 (31:43):
We'll have someone direct you to your r V spot,
help you get hooked up all the good stuff. If
you don't, if you have an primitive RV pass, we
will have a suggested area for you to park. But
at the same time, it's simply if you want to
park it somewhere else, it's just be consider each other,
festival goers to the property and everything else around, and
then you can, you know, you can park here every
wherever you wish, as long as it's you know.

Speaker 7 (32:05):
In a nice reasonable spot.

Speaker 9 (32:07):
You know.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
For myself, I own a kayak. I live here five
minutes from the river. One of my favorite things is
spend my days on the river. I know that Diamond
Head typically doesn't allow personal water crafts in so if
somebody correct would like to float that day on their
personal craft, what are their options?

Speaker 8 (32:32):
So what we've been killing everybody because unfortunately that resort
does not allow private boats. It is something they're going
to be looking into. I'm not sure if it will
change any telling their future. Unfortunately I don't speak for them,
so I don't know. But what we've been telling everybody
is to if you're not wanting to transport your own
stuff upstream, that there's a resort right next door called

(32:53):
Illinois River Outfitters. They do do private shuttle boats, so
you can check in with them. I'm not sure the price,
so don't calle men call them sure, but you can
check in with them. They will shuttle you upstream with
your equipment. You can kayak back down, and they actually
share a landing with Diamond Head side by side, so
you'd be landing essentially.

Speaker 7 (33:11):
With all the turf floaders. They put in at the
same place.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
I believe.

Speaker 7 (33:15):
I believe it's Edmonton Access and so we'll.

Speaker 8 (33:17):
Be there and if you don't want to pay to
have someone do it, if you'd want to, you know,
like I'm sure you do sometimes that and just drop
in on your own pick.

Speaker 7 (33:24):
Up, do all that fun stuff.

Speaker 8 (33:26):
The public access we put in at or share with
the public is Edmondson Access on the river.

Speaker 7 (33:31):
It's just right past Comb's Bridge.

Speaker 8 (33:32):
And then if you don't and then you'd have to
find another public access down water. I believe no Head
Hollow maybe one of the No Head public access. I
believe it was the closest one after the resort to
get out of.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
And you know, those those public access are a blessing
all up and down the river folks. I mean you
put you get yourself a GRDA pass or like a
dollar a day or ten dollars for the season for
your personal device, and then you can use those personal
landings to drop in take off as long as you've

(34:03):
got you know, a float buddy that can help you transport.
So that's awesome that Illinois River Outfitters is going to
be pitching in to deal with some of the demand
that of all the traffic and tourism that's coming in
to the area. Like you said last year, six thousand strong.
That's awesome. You know, given the cannabis friendly environment, what

(34:25):
important guidelines are responsible consumption practices? Should people be aware
to ensure safe and enjoyable experience for everyone while staying
within the local state laws. You know, for we all
know about the cards and stuff. How does that all work.

Speaker 8 (34:43):
So, I mean, as we tell all of our venders
when we post everyone, everyone has to obey all local
state laws regarding cannabis, cannabis consumption and everything like that. Luckily,
we are an open air festival, so open air on
the river cannabis consumption is you know allowed, especially on
the resort. Even if with private property they have allowed it,
it's not a big deal. We do caution everybody know,
watch your limits, stay within any reason. Just because you

(35:06):
can eat edibles and smoke all day at your house
and do whatever, it does not mean you can still
do it at a one hundred degree plus heat and turflow.

Speaker 7 (35:13):
We do come prepared.

Speaker 8 (35:14):
We have a large number of medical staff on site
for the entire weekend, as well as security personnel to
help assist with medical reason with medical issues. Luckily, I
mean over the years we've had you know, a couple
each year which has come to say.

Speaker 7 (35:27):
It's going to happen, but we do try our best
to avoid it. So we just caution.

Speaker 8 (35:31):
Everybody just if you're going to have extra stuff if
it's because it's ready available.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
Just be careful, watch yourself, watch your friends. If you
think something's wrong, find a work or find somebody you know.
Everyone's there to help. We want nothing to go wrong
with anybody. We just want everybody to come out and
have a good time. Man.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Absolutely, Now, I was seeing on the weather that we
are coming into a brutal heat wave. Do you have
any final thoughts on that heat that we may be
dealing with that weekend?

Speaker 8 (36:05):
So our best advice to everybody man is to stay
hydrated as much as possible up until the event. For
the event ourselves to help with it. We do give
away free water at the event.

Speaker 7 (36:14):
During festival hours, so the entire time you'll have bottled
water accessible to you.

Speaker 8 (36:19):
We have a number of IV hydration services that will
be on site for people that may want to get
rehydrated that way. There will be a number of shade
blockers put in place around the festival grounds for people
to enjoy shade, and luckily with our daytime music, it
does take place down around the landing which is mostly
shaded and is close to the water, so people can
enjoy the water while listening to music. During the day,

(36:41):
just kind of sitting and.

Speaker 7 (36:42):
Chilling and at night time.

Speaker 8 (36:44):
The majority of our larger acts do go on at
night after the sun has gone down, and it's I'm
not gonna say it's cool, but man, it's still.

Speaker 7 (36:52):
Not like one oh five, you know, it might be
like ninety two or something.

Speaker 8 (36:55):
But at least it feels a little more, you know,
it feels a little cooler. But that's I mean, that's
about the best we can do.

Speaker 7 (37:01):
We can hope for that.

Speaker 8 (37:02):
Man.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Absolutely, Josh, you've answered so many of my questions and
provided so much information. I'd like to open the floor
a little bit to you. Is there anything that you
would like to get out there to the public ahead
of this festival?

Speaker 7 (37:21):
Man?

Speaker 8 (37:21):
Honestly, we just you know, we just want to welcome
everybody back to our home where we started, Diamond Head.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
It's great to be back here for year five.

Speaker 8 (37:29):
Again, we cannot stress enough on people to hydrate, to
drink water. Please watch out for your friends, watch out
for strangers, watch out for people you don't know. You know, again,
we want everyone to have a good time. That's our
main focus here, dude. We want everyone to come. We
want everyone to go home. So it's going to be
a good time. We've got a lot of crazy stuff
planned for you guys. We've partnered with a lot of

(37:51):
cool groups to bring some surprises which.

Speaker 7 (37:53):
I'm not going to reveal, so you guys will have
to wait for those.

Speaker 8 (37:57):
We have partnered with our friends Adam. They will be
on site performing some services for us. So I'm pumped
to have the homies on site. So that'll be a
good time of a new partnership. I'm pumped to a
you know, get out and explore with It'll be a
good time. As far as that all of our sponsors
people is about tickets, man, I just want to say
thank you guys again for believing us.

Speaker 7 (38:16):
It's huge.

Speaker 8 (38:18):
We never thought we'd make it to year five, but
here we are and it's still getting bigger every year. Again,
that's all what we want, you know, every year bigger
acts more people. We just want to show people what
Turf floats about, man, and it's one of the best times.
If you've never had it, we you know, we asher
you to come out give us a shot. If you
don't want to commit to a full weekend pass, we
have day passes at the door for forty bucks and

(38:38):
come out and check it out, and it'll be the
best party of the summer, man, for sure. Trying to
think here outside of that, Adam, thank you for having
us on. Man, it's a pleasure as always to see you.
Can't wait to have you out at the festival, see
the coverage that you get. You and your team are
always amazing. Huge, huge shot. Shout out to our biggest sponsor.

(38:59):
Our presenting sponsors this year are our friends.

Speaker 7 (39:01):
At Chill of An OKAC.

Speaker 8 (39:05):
They are a grow a lab and a dispensary, so
if you have a medical license, go check out the boys.
They have some of the best products in the state
as well as they own Ace's Disc Golf Shop, So
if anybody needs any disc golf gear go check those
guys out in Oklahoma. Shirtc so any gear you need
at all, hit them up. Man, those guys are some
of the best in the business and some of my
best friends. So show them all the love, man, That's

(39:27):
all I asked.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Absolutely, Now, Berner, I appreciate you so much for inviting
us Surviving Rock Oklahoma to cover your festival and allowing
us to have a vendor booth there where we can
sell our merch. Now I've got a little surprise for
you as well. I haven't announced it anywhere else. So

(39:53):
that weekend at our booth, we will be running a
contest weekend long and that final day I will be
giving away two VIP passes to Oklahoma courtesy of Oklahoma
and we will be doing that through our vendor booth.
So we invite everybody to come by and see us

(40:15):
at Turp Float Festival at Diamond Head Resort here in Tahlequah.
We will have a multitude ways for you to qualify
to win those to those passes valued at almost eight
hundred dollars.

Speaker 7 (40:29):
Man, that's awesome. Thank you guys, and thank you Rockahoma
for that. That'd be great and we'll help you guys
promote that at the festival as well, for sure.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Absolutely, So remember folks, grab your bring your family, or
just get out of the house for the weekend and
come down to Tallaquah. We've got an amazing festival coming
up in a couple of weeks. So you can either
rent from there. They've got plenty of rentals, they'll take
care of the whole thing. Or if you're like me
and you've got that kayak, you've just been looking for
a reason. We've also got other ways for you to

(40:59):
float those as well, so it doesn't matter how you
are going to be camping that week in or experiencing
that wonderful float trip as we flood the river as
I probably should not use that term after this past week.

Speaker 9 (41:13):
Not do that one.

Speaker 7 (41:14):
Let's not do that one there, Thank.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
You, you know, Josh. Before I let you go, I
always like to give my best, my guests a few
moments to directly look at the audience, the folks that
you are going to be seeing here in a couple
of weeks, and uh, just this is your chance to
address your your audience, your fans, Josh, the stage is yours.

Speaker 8 (41:41):
Well, I don't think I have very many fans, man,
but I'll definitely talk to some people. We just appreciate
all you guys, man, all the support for real, it's unreal.
I never thought it would happen, but it's you know,
it's crazy, and so we're just rolling with it. We're
a very small team, you know, We've got two owners
and then about twenty close home.

Speaker 7 (42:00):
It'll do anything for us.

Speaker 8 (42:02):
And then of course the support of everybody here and man,
just like I tell everybody at the festival. It's gonna
be a fun time, it's gonna be hot, it's gonna
be headache. Everybody, keep your cool, be nice to everybody,
and that's it, man. Just be a good person and
everyone else will be a good person to you, and
if not, we'll deal with it, you know, person by person.

Speaker 7 (42:20):
But that's all we ask, man, Just be good people.
That's all we want.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Absolutely once again, Josh Berner from Terp Float Presents ahead
of a Turp Float festival at Diamond Head Resort here
in Tallaquad. Thanks again Josh for joining us.

Speaker 7 (42:37):
No bro, Matt, We'll see you next number, see you
next time.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Once again. That was Josh, And uh, I am gonna
go ahead and uh we're gonna go to a music break,
so we're gonna break off some tunes from the rock
box ladies and gentlemen. This is zimme roo.

Speaker 6 (43:13):

You're in the talk of lost a cat fool.

Speaker 5 (45:08):
It's not even a story.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
For your your it's not the sky.

Speaker 6 (45:22):
Two, it's a god only a gun.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
It's the ugly true. It's not having to say money.

Speaker 5 (45:53):
And it's not.

Speaker 1 (45:55):
It's nothing, just very French thing. Any story we shall

(46:19):

But wasn't an never knowing your work. I'm okay.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
And once again that was Zimaru last to this, haven't
had to do? Tell me that's not the voice of
a siren man that will lead you down a rabbit
hole of some great tunes. We are so glad to
feature zim Maroo courtesy of the rock Box right here

(48:05):
on the show. We appreciate y'all so much for tuning in.
Thank you much zim Maroo for submitting your music to
play here on the show. Now you know, we were
started to talk about some of our announcements before we
had our live guest tonight. Once again, thanks so much
to Josh Berner for joining us to talk about the

(48:28):
Turf Float Festival coming up in a couple of weeks. Now,
with that all being said, we've got some Rockklahoma stuff
to discuss. So many of you all know about the
Rocklahoma Campgrounds Map. Well, if you don't, you can go
to www. Dot Survivingrocklahoma dot com and then you can

(48:53):
scroll down and there's a couple of links. One of
those is a rock Survival Guide, and on that survival
guide you can find the Rocklaholma Campgrounds Map. On there,
that's where you can add your camp to the map.
You can during the week of Rockaholma you will be

(49:14):
able to vote for the best Campsite contest. And we've
got a whole directory of campsites and parties and there's,
oh my gosh, there's just so many. Over one hundred
camps wanted to be listed on the campgrounds map. Now,
you guys, this is here for your your benefit, for

(49:39):
your use, so it doesn't cost you a dime. You
can go here. Most of these are all PDFs and
can be printed out so that when your phone's dead
and you're out in the middle of the field where
you have no resection, you can have these printed out
and you can plan out your party now as part

(49:59):
of that, and I'm wearing one from years past. We
have a tradition among the Oklahoma family of the All
Camps T shirt, and this year we have picked up
the torch and we have decided to go ahead and

(50:22):
produce the All Camps T shirt this year. And you know,
I started out by giving credit to those who have helped,
but these people so humble and they are just doing
it for the community, and so as much as they
want to remain anonymous, all those who contributed, I want

(50:45):
to thank them anyway, and thank you all so much
for the folks who have helped compile the all of
the names for the camp sites and put together a
beautiful full shirt this year. Are you all ready to
see the design for this year? Ladies and gentlemen. This

(51:09):
is your All Camp T shirt and they are available
on ten and Baum Graphics And I'm gonna zoom in
here so you guys can see the T shirt design
and I absolutely love it. And this is an homage

(51:33):
to two Since two thousand and seven, Roklahoma has been
having their festival every year and this year they proudly
proclaim it's our Rock Oklahoma Now the coolest part. If
that wasn't enough, the back. Now I'm gonna zoom out

(51:58):
so you guys can see this design. We have this
skull that is made up of all of the camp sites.
And you know there's also a couple of Easter eggs
as well inside of this graphic. And once again, thank

(52:21):
you guys so much for putting this shirt together, compiling
the list of all of these names and putting it together.
And these are currently on sale. The graphics or excuse me,
the link to the website is in the comments of

(52:44):
this live stream. And we are you know, we're so
excited as we celebrate our Rocklahoma, not not your Rocklahoma,
not my rocklaholma our rock Loah. And this is our
all Camps T shirt. So once again, folks, you can

(53:05):

Speaker 2 (54:21):
Alrighty, but yeah, amazing, absolutely beautiful, and once again I
want to thank our team once again for their amazing work.
That graphic is awesome. And hold on, hold on, it
gets better. It gets better, y'all. What if you would

(54:44):
like your own custom shirt, but if you'd like your
own custom colors, well, just only this week, get a
Casey is working on a form. See if Tannin and
Ball Graphics is working on a form, and then you
will be able to get your own color options. So

(55:08):
is your camp colors. Let's say black and red. You
can get a black T shirt with red font. If
maybe it's the drunken Irish, maybe they want green and orange.
You could get a green T shirt with orange font.
You have that option, but you will need to get
those orders in fast. I know, I know this is

(55:30):
time is running out, but you have the ability to
customize that. So I want to thank the entire team
for what you've done and your contributions to making these
T shirt happen. And I also, yes, let's see what
we've got on Tann and Bomb Graphics. We've got stickers,

(55:52):
we've got Koozies, flags, T shirts, and down there at
the bottom we've even got some rock tops as well
for you ladies, well maybe guys too if you want
to if you want to rock that, no judgment, you
know you do how you do. But yeah, we've got
some options available. Once again, the link is right there

(56:14):
in the comments and Angel actually just shared the form
so you can joint click on Rebel Angel's form there
in the comments and you will be able to get
your personalized colors. The design is going to be the same,

(56:35):
but you can get your different colors so you'll have
more color options right there. So thank you again, guys. Now,
you know, speaking of tannem baumb Graphics, I want to
I want to thank him once again for keeping my
beer cold tonight as I represent our Surviving Rock Oklahoma

(56:58):
and photograh graphy by Angel Lee Graphics on our kuzy.
But guess what. You know what, I've got different colors too,
So we've got pink, black, purple, white, pink, and we

(57:21):
got my favorite color red. And you know what, We've
got over thirty viewers.

Speaker 1 (57:27):
I tell you what.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Who wants a koozie? Who wants a koozy right now?
Hashtag our Rock Oklahoma? Hashtag our Rockklahoma in the comments.
Make sure you share the live stream to qualify. So
share the stream and drop in the comments hashtag our

(57:51):
Rock Oklahoma. And the winner tonight's random drawing you will
get your pick of Bran spankin new hot off the
press just delivered today koozies featuring Surviving Roklahoma and photography

(58:15):
by Angel Lee. So let's see, we've got thirty five
live viewers. I see the hashtags rolling through the comments
right now. Let me pick us a random winner as
it generates a number. All right, the looking number seven.

(58:50):
Let me figure out.

Speaker 4 (58:51):
Where we.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
One, two, three, four, five, six, Daniel whitmss, Daniel whitmss,
you have one. Oh my gosh, that is so awesome,
totally random folks. Random number Generator, thank you for all
of those of you who use the correct hashtag hashtag

(59:18):
our Rock Klahoma. Daniel, you have one the first koozie
to go out aside from mine, So congratulations. Alrighty, So
we will be having more drawings folks for you guys

(59:43):
to win more prizes as we have more things come
available here in the coming weeks. Thank you so much,
Casey for being part of it. And these high quality prints.
This isn't like an iron on. This is on the koozies,
so they're not gonna wear out. Congratulations again Daniel for
winning that. Now, you know, we've got some other things

(01:00:06):
going on on the Rock Oklahoma front. You know, we
talked a bit about the map, the shirts, and you
know Casey from Tannembaum Graphics is saying, if you guys
need graphics done, he can take care of you. And
this week he is running a special, so a lot
of these products that he's putting out are discounted for

(01:00:30):
this week only. You know, Josh was talking something about
the turf float that is also I was also going
to hit on for rock Lahoma, and I'm talking about
the heat. Now everybody knows, you know, the standard roles

(01:00:53):
of thumb for surviving the heat. It's something we live with.
Here in Oklahoma, but it is very much something that
you have to take seriously. And hydration don't start that week,
it starts days before. So at knowing that we will
be at the Turpfloat Festival here the week after next

(01:01:15):
and four weeks after that we've got Roklahoma, it is
time for us all to be adding more of that
playing Jane clean crisp clear water into our diets, not
for Gatorade, not sports drinks or liquid IV. You need water,

(01:01:37):
so drink plenty of water during this heat wave. And
you do need to start spending some time out in
the heat. Limit the amount of time you spend out there,
but it is time to start getting acclimated. I don't
know about many of you all. I don't work out
in the heat. I spend the majority of my day

(01:01:59):
in comfortable in the air conditioning. And if you don't
get acclimated to the heat, it's going to be a rough,
rough weekend for you. And we don't want to see
anyone falling out. So it is time to go ahead
and make sure you start getting your walks in. Try

(01:02:20):
to get a couple of miles every day. Hydrate and
condition your body because you are going to be putting
it through a marathon at Rocklaholm and not just setting
out in the heat sweating everything out, but you're also
going to be drinking. You're going to be partying, You're
going to be staying up late at night, standing in

(01:02:42):
the sun all day, in crowds and stuff. So please
please take care of your health. Very very important. If
you take nothing else away tonight, it's to start taking
care of your health right now, hydrating and getting acclimated
to this hot weather because we're going to be in
it here in a couple of months. You know. We also, uh,

(01:03:05):
let me make sure see what else I've got going on. Uh,
that's pretty much it for my notes. We once again
want to thank Josh Berner for joining us from the
Terp Float Festival that is coming up in a couple
of weeks. You know, before we got that, we've got
a big festival, a big concert coming up on the

(01:03:26):
twenty sixth at Big Bellies Burgers in Prior, Oklahoma. You
need to go buy this bar and grill. They're going
to have some great music out there. We're going to
be out there. You can also have chances to win
surviving Rockklahoma's t shirts as well as Rockklahoma and Born

(01:03:47):
and Raised festival passes are up for grabs at this event.
If you know anyone who needs to go to Rockklahoma
but they just haven't been able to afford the passes
or whatever is going on and they need looking for
that chance to win, this is your next opportunity to

(01:04:08):
win Rockklahoma passes. Now. In addition to that, in about
two weeks, I will be at Turp Float Presents and
as I announced tonight when Josh was on, I am
going to be giving away a set of VIP all
weekend Rockklahoma passes at the Turp Float Festival. You've got

(01:04:30):
to come by the vendor booth and we will have
ways for you to qualify for that drawing the last
day of the festival. So this is another great chance
for you to win a set of Rockklahoma tickets. Speaking
of Rockklahoma, it's just around the bend Labor Day weekend.

(01:04:52):
Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Breaking Benjamin,
three Days Grace, I'd down three eleven. That's my band,
three eleven. Get to see him for the first time
in over twenty years. I am so excited and we
hope can't wait to see each and every one of
you all there now. At the end of that month,

(01:05:15):
it'll be time for a Rock Family reunion and we
will be doing that in Stigler, Oklahoma, at Lake John
Wells at Rock the Equinox Number ten. It's a free festival, y'all,
and we got a whole two days packed full of
local bands, and we will also have a friggin lake

(01:05:41):
so we can cool off and we can get those
kayaks out and enjoy ourselves in the wonderful weather that
I expect us to have that weekend, the final weekend
of September. So you know what, We are also going
to be given away a couple of excuse me, a

(01:06:06):
service package from at your Service Rentals here in just
a couple of moments. So if you've got if you've
been looking to spruce up your campsite, you're going to
have a group of people and you'd like to squat
in confidence. Well, I tell you what. You have a

(01:06:26):
chance to win your own portable restroom. Maybe you want
a swimming pool to keep cool during the festival. This
is your chance to win one. So stay tuned. Share
that live stream and while you do that, we want
to start off by saying thank you. Thank you for
watching the live stream y'all. Thank you for spending your
Monday night with me. As we learned more about the

(01:06:48):
turt Float Festival, we get excited for Rockklahoma and we
listen to some local bands. If you would like your
music featured here on the show, shoot us an email
Surviving Rockklahoma at gmail dot com. Send your ePK, your demos,
you're in your music, send it all over. If you're
going to be playing in the area, include your gig

a set of general admission Rockelaholmet tickets. All you've got
to do is either subscribe or you can win the
stars wars. For those of you who have been sending stars,
we appreciate you all so much. That is my tip, jar.
That's little how little bits of currency. That's how we

(01:08:36):
monetize the live stream. We play so much play so
much music on the show that we can't really monetize
it any other way. So those stars helps pay the
bills and helps helps us get by. So with that
being said, the top stars sender every week qualifies for

(01:08:56):
a for the monthly drawing. And I see you guys
dropping the hashtag. But I didn't announce the hashtag yet.
That's not the right hashtag.

Speaker 7 (01:09:08):

(01:09:57):

that is to collect the code words. This week's code
word is near dearer to my heart. I'm talking about

Marty Gras. Marty Gras is this week's code word for
the Rock Oklahoma Bitches experience. And you know what, speaking
of Marty Gras, I finished a little something this past
