Speaker 1 (00:18):
I am your host with the Lots That Rocks, Adam Richmond,
and this is the official podcast of Rockklahoma. Surviving Rockklahoma,
and I am joined by a musical artist who has
been shredding up the streaming platforms almost as much as
he has his guitar.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Ladies and gentlemen, A round, Joe. Hey, what's everybody? How
you doing? Let's gonna see you man.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Man, this is not your first time here at Rock
Lahoma and can you tell me th third time? Oh
my gosh, tell me a little bit about your experience
so far.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
It's been great. You know.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I have the rare opportunity to have to be able
to come and watch festivals grow, you know. So we
were here back in twenty twenty one for the first
time and it was still coming up. Man. So every
two years we've been back, it's been amazing to watch
it grow and the fans keep growing and people just
are amazing every single time we come back here. It's
I was saying earlier today that it's rare we get
a chance to come out and see the people out

(01:12):
here in Oklahoma. It's one of those states that a
lot of cats on get to come to. So it's
a pleasure to come out and see all this rock fans,
these people out here right now for rock and roll,
you know absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
So you've been very busy lately. Tell me a little
bit about what you have going on right now.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Well, I've been working on a new album as of
last this last year. I've been the last five years.
I mean, getting signed a tour in the world, number
one in a few countries, and it's including the US,
and just traveling and touring and living life and learning
and loving. You know, That's what I've been up to.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
It's just music, music, music, man.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
And it's been all of my life to be able
to get to travel and meet the people all over
the place, including ship Rocks, including you know here at
Oklahoma and all over the.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Country, you know absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
And you you were talking a about some of the
different dates you've got playing abroad. You've got anything that's
like standing out in your mind? Any favorites so far?

Speaker 3 (02:08):
I got a few ones, man, I did. I did
open for the Rolling Stones over in uh in Paris,
one of like seventy thousand people, which I'll never forget.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I got to play at the Prince Royal Albert Hall,
in the UK. I got to play over a Wimbley arena,
you know, so I got to I got to see
some really cool stuff. Man. I played a there's this
uh it is a Roman Amphitheater which looks like it
looks like a Roman arena, and uh and NIM which
is in South France.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Mass.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So I got to play in a Roman arena opening
for Deep Purple Mass. I got to do some really
cool stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Oh my gods, that is awesome, amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
So you're you're getting to play all these amazing venues
and uh touring all over.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Tell me a little bit about what's going on in
your music.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
In the music, yeah, man, you know it's it's been
live stories, you know. I mean, I've I've gotten a
chance to, uh to watch myself grow up as as
my music is growing, you know. And so I mean
I've gone I've gone through the ups and downs. I
live the rock star life. I've done, you know, all
the sex, drugs and rock and roll, all the stories
you read about. I've lived a little bit of that,
you know. So, and I've come back out of it.
I've definitely been to Jupiter back home, and you know,

(03:14):
so I think that a lot of that is reflected
in my music.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
You'll hear it. I talk about it sometimes.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Sometimes it's like you can see some of these cats
out here living living the high life, but they may
be like real lonely inside. And I felt that way
at times, you know, And so I don't know. I'm
been adjusting and learning and living, and I put that
right in the music, you know, I really do. I
try to pull my soul, my heart out there. Some
cats know that they're not alone in the world, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I do ye.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Now, tell me a little bit about the writing process
for you. Yeah, putting these stories to paper and setting
them to music and stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
How does that work for you? You know?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I mean, I have the opportunity of being a musician
as well as a songwriter man, So all the times,
it can be an idea off the guitar or a
lyric I have in my head, and it's all banks
to me, right, like I take.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I take banks of words and things I put.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I say, Okay, more for this song, We'll put it
over here for something else, or a riff.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I'll write a riff somewhere.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I'll be like, oh, this doesn't really work, But we'll
lose it for something else. We'll put in the song
somewhere else, you know. So the writing process for me,
I try to be quick when I write, and I
try to spend a lot of time on meaningful lyrics.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I mean that means the most to me. It really does. Man.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
So for you, is it a collections of stories or
you do you try to keep a theme?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Or is it?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
How does these works? Some folks think of their albums
as different chapters in their catalog, yeah, and some are
just playing it all by ear.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
A little b both, you know what I mean a
little both.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I both like tell the stories and the chapters of
my life, but also like learn to draw from instant
inspiration in the moment, you know, because that's what music
is about.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Music is about the moment.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
You know.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Sound waves they come when they go, but the music
that moment, You're never gonna never gonna see that moment again.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
So tell me a little bit about what's next for you.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Well, I'm working on a new record right now, and
hopefully we'll find a label right pretty soon here to
put it out. And I'm also I'll be going out
on tour Blackstone Cherry beginning of November to the second December. Man,
so all over these coast in the South starting in
the first week of November.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Man, so yeah, ooh, I dig it. Now, when can
we expect to see something new?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Oh? Man, I don't know, you, I can't. I can't
say just yet. Man, I'm itching to the trusting Man.
I'm like itching too, but probably early twenty twenty six overlooking.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Like men early twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Alrighty well, it is so hard not to talk about it,
but I'd love to see the excitement and you on
the setting, on the edge of your seat, just ready
to break it. Hopefully we're going to be able to
feature it right here on the show, right too.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I hope everybody loves it.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I mean, it's honestly, after five years of tour in
the world straight man, I don't know, Man, I kind
of found my stride in my music and I had
some cool people around me to help tell some stories,
you know, And so this next record I think is
going to represent the best of those worlds for me.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
You know. Well, man, you're absolutely killing it out there.
Welcome back for your third time. Well done, sir. You know.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Before I wrap things up, I always like to give
my guests an opportunity to look at the camera and
talk to the fans, the folks who listen to you,
the folks who watch you, and these folks who are
watching this awesome interview right here.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
There is no me without you, and there's no life,
there's no reality, there's no moment with about you. So
thank you for creating and sharing these moments with me,
and I hope that we can continue to create some
beautiful moments in the future together.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Well said my friend Will said, congratulations again, thank you
for your.
