(00:05):
Good evening and welcome to tee Time. Hey everybody, welcome to tea Time.

(01:25):
I'm so glad you're joining me.It is Monday, June seventeenth.
I'm gonna talk about my weekend realquick and get to my guests because I'm
so excited. He's here a lotin studio. So basically pretty much all
weekend I studied lines. I'm goingto be filming something this weekend, and
I had to learn lines, learnlines, learn lines. And then yesterday
was Father's Day and I was soexcited to spend it with my daddy.

(01:49):
There he is, who's back fromFlorida, and we went my sisters in
Dick's Hills. So excited about that. And also I want to say before
introduced Adam Murdered by the Mob,Murdered by the Mob. There, I
Am Bunny. Is the longest murdermystery show in Manhattan. And if you
go to Murder by Theemob dot comyou could see when we're going to be

(02:12):
performing. Just check out the website. You eat, you sing, you
dance, your drink. It's veryinteractive. Someone gets whacked. You got
to figure it out. It's likea clue, you know. It's like
the game Clue. All right,So I'm just so excited to talk about
my guests tonight. Interview him.He is an actor, he's a writer,
producer and director as well. Right, A little bit, a little
bit a new word for you.Adam huss is here with me. Hi,

(02:38):
Hi are you good? How areyou? I'm great? I love
your intro. Oh, thank you. I appreciate it. So, if
you know, I want everyone toget to know you. Obviously you're a
Long Island boy. I am.I am a Long Island grew up in
Iceland, went to Iceland High school. Ye did? Okay, So when
you're in high school, did youparticipate in acting in theater or chorus or

(03:05):
anything in the arts? Yes,all of the above, you know.
I I there wasn't when you do, when you do, like in high
school, the plays are always likemusicals, right, Yeah, So that
was my only exposure to it,and thank thank god, I did sing.
I was in chorus as like, and I was in a lot of
electives because they're good for college.Yeah. And I wound up, Yeah,

(03:25):
I wound up doing the musical mysophomore year, which was anything Was
it Annie First? Or anything Goes? I can't remember. I think it
was anything goes first and I justgot a small part, and then I
was I was bit by this bug. And then I did the next year
Annie, I think, and thenI had and so this is actually a

(03:49):
interesting story. My teacher we hada class called humanities. Did you have
a class? I guess I did. So in that class you learn a
lot about things that you weren't learningin your regular subjects. And I love
that learning about you know, architectureand movies. And I remember he showed
us the original Dracula, which myuncle David already showed me as a kid.
I was so hooked on the UniversalMonsters and he had like the the

(04:12):
Super Eight, so he'd show uson the on his wall. Because my
uncle David should have been in showbiz, so I knew those movies.
And then here we are learning itin school. And then the teacher was
like Doc Ferns was like, let'sact out these scenes. So we went
to the theater and we started actingout the scenes, and I it was
electric for me and my friends andI were laughing but like you're really funny,
but you're really good, because everyoneelse was like hark a bat you

(04:33):
know, and I was like intoit because I would already be passing out
scripts to my cousin's back home, and so I just this was just like
a second thing for me that Irealized I love this so much. And
then my senior year, I finallybooked the lead in Bye by Birdie.
Oh, I did by by VerdiAnd who do you think I played?
Though, well, obviously you're goingto tell because I said that, right,

(04:55):
I played Albert. So that wasthe first for me, and it
was really cool. I got tolead the show. Oh, I got
the tap dance, all these Theytaught me all this stuff that I had
no idea how to do. Andit's a really musical theater, is how
I started. Yeah, yeah, mixed it. And do you do you
play guitar? I do not.I'm learning guitar slowly. Yes. My

(05:15):
dad's an amazing singer, songwriter, guitarist, and I always wanted to learn.
He kind of tried to teach meback in the day. I'm trying
to learn again now, hence theshort nails. Yeah, really couses,
I got ahead of little They saidyou're gonna get blisters and catlesses. I
got a little injury. So Igot set back for a bit, but
I'm gonna I'm gonna go back toit because I'm determined this time to learn
that acoustic guitarist. I was sittingin my bedroom. My dad ted the

(05:40):
strings, like you're gonna learn thisthing, right, But I just want
to wrap that up and say afterthat leading that show, This is what
really bit me, was like mymom. She was like, Mom,
Dad, you gotta come see me. And they're like, well, we'll
come like opening night and that's it, you know, And I'm like,
okay, Well, other people's parentsare like working the show and they're gonna
do make up and hair so theycan see more of the shows. And
my mom's like, I'm just gonnacome opening now, and she was.

(06:00):
They came up at night and shewas so they were so like taken by
it that my mom was like, where do I sign up to albums?
Every night? She was like backthere doing hair, makeup. And that
that really informed me because, likewe said, we talked earlier, our
mom's opinions mean a lot to us. So that told me like, I
must have something if she sees it, because she's very honest and she'll tell
me straight up. So I waslike, if she's saying this and like

(06:23):
joining these backstage, you know tocome here every every night to see me.
Yeah, that says a lot.Yeah, so that really built my
confidence. That's cool. So afterhigh school you decided to go to Binghamton
University and you studied under Juilliard professorJean Lesser. Yeah, and ended up

(06:44):
getting a BA in drama. Wow. You know it all? Yeah,
I try. And then you decidedI'm gonna move to l A. Yeah.
Crazy. Now I had that thoughtin my head and my parents weren't
thrilled about it. How did yourparents react to that? Yeah, not,
they weren't thrilled. I mean mydad tells a story now that he

(07:05):
was like, he'll be back insix months. You know. It wasn't
aus he didn't believe in me.It was just like we are you know,
we're family. People were a MoMA'sboy, like, we're very close.
Yeah, we never miss a holiday. I never thought that I'd miss
a dinner with my parents. Youknow. I couldn't imagine we were all
going to grow up and not havelike dinner together each night. I was
lucky in that respect, you know. And so yeah, it was tough.

(07:28):
But did you pack your car andjust drive? Did you? Did
you ever? No? I didhave a friend. I did have a
friend, my friend Colleen McGinnis. She she was she's a writer. She's
a brilliant writer. She's written forlike Amy Schumer and now she has she's
starting a direction. Did you crashon count Yeah? I literally she went
way. She went before me andstarted the process. He said, if

(07:50):
we ever come to stay here andwhatever. And I got to give big
props to my grandma, my lategrandma, my mom's mom. She really
believed in me. And another onewho really was behind me. She's like,
you're gonna of course you're gonna doit. They're gonna be mother's mother
also really yeah, yeah, whenam I going to see you on TV?
Yeah? Tell me? And bothmy grandma's believed me. But it
was my mom's mom who was justvery like, whatever you need, I

(08:13):
will if you want to go out, and like I will pay for it,
you let me know. So youknow, I heard that, but
I didn't think the opportunity would arise, and it did. They were doing
these back in the day. Theydid this workshops, these one on one
workshops, yes, in LA,and I just heard it was a really
good one and you can meet allthese people from NYPD Blue because that was
the time it was on the airand all these other shows. And my

(08:33):
Grandma's like, oh go, I'llpay for it and you get to meet
all these people at once. Soshe paid for my flight, she paid
for the course or whatever that theworkshops, and yeah, I went out
there, stayed on Colleen's couch andjust fell in love. And every I
will say, like every casting directorI met was like and I knew I
was green still. I was figuringit out, but they're like, you

(08:54):
need to move here, you needto move here, you need to move
here. I kept hearing that,so I was like, okay, okay,
you know you made the right decision. So I came back and I
was like, tell my parents,I think I'm going to move and they
were like, no, how Idon't even know how I did it.
If I if I, if I, if I thought, if I'd do
it now, I probably wouldn't doit. But you're young, right,
and you have the stars in youreyes. Thing, I can do this,
sure? How well how old wereyou when you went out there,

(09:16):
Like twenty two. Yeah, wasright after college, so I was twenty
three. Yeah. Yeah, Ihad a girlfriend here and I had to
tell her like I'm sorry, I'mleaving and I'll leave after your birthday.
That makes any difference? Yeah, that a lesson blow. Yeah, you
know, right after your birthday.Wow? Anyway, but yeah, it

(09:39):
was what was your because I havesomething here, but I don't know if
it's right. So I'm going toask you. What was your very first
official professional gig? Okay, myvery first professional gig, I would say
I would I would say it wasthis remember Saved by the Bell. Yes,
I was obsessed with Save by theBell, and I mean obsessed.

(10:01):
I love Tiffany Amperthees and like Iloved her. I wrote her. She
wrote me back. It was likecrazy. So I really wasn't into that
show. Everyone knew my cousins.I had scripts passed out for us to
act that out. And one oneday I was doing extra works. I
just moved to La on Vanilla Sky. That Tom Cruise movie, Cameron Crow
director, and I mean it's massive, you know, Cameron Diaz was in

(10:22):
that. It was it was veryit was very intimidate that yeah, and
I'm an extra and I didn't domany extra jobs. It was one of
my first and so Tom Cruise bumpsinto me at this party scene and he's
like hey, and he starts thisconversation and I'm so nervous and so green
that I'm like hey, He's like, are you having a good time?

(10:43):
Like, oh yeah, I'm havinga great time, and I'm forgetting like
Ron Camery, He's like amazing. He's like, enjoy yourself. And it
was like the party scene in VanillaSky. So we break kind of for
lunch. It was close to lunch, and they're like, all right,
when we come back, we're gonnakeep that. We really liked it.
We'll do it again. Really yes. I was usually like don't speak yeah,

(11:05):
so I was like okay. Solittle did I know I also have
a callback for this Save by theBell kind of show. So I leave
to go to the callback thinking I'llmake it back on time, and I
don't. And I'm like a littlebit late coming back from lunch and they're
like where where is that guy? They were looking for me supposedly to give
me the five and under, andI totally missed it, Like they couldn't

(11:26):
find me after lunch, so Igot I was probably five minutes late,
but I missed them, Like where'sthat guy who had the lines with Tom?
But I but I booked the sameby the I was just going to
ask you did you get booked? So and it was like a guest star
role that was going to be recurringof one of the lead girls, her
boyfriend. But the show got canceled. So I did like one one episode.

(11:46):
Yeah, I was like her veganboyfriend or something like that. She
called me bean boy or something, and that was it. I couldn't yeah,
right, and I could have hada scene cruise, but that kind
of it would have been cut, right, so maybe you never know,
make me feel better. Yeah right, it would have been caught. Thank
you. Okay, so I havedown here that back in two thousand and

(12:07):
one, you did a TV seriescalled All about Us? That was it?
That was the same by the Bell. I'm glad you're so good because
I couldn't remember the name, Like, what is that show? That was
it? That was it? Okay? So well, it's not listed as
Saved by the Bell. It's listedas it was it was from the producers
of Saved by the Bell, likelike when I was filming that show,
I went to the back. Iremember there's a bunch of people in the

(12:28):
high school and on the back ofthe sets it said save by the bell.
So that was just like such afull circle moment for me when I
told my cousins, like there wasthis is before phones. I couldn't take
a picture of it, but Iwas like, You're not going to believe
this, but I'm on this showcall all about us. We carried out
code with the with the you lickthe bone and you put it on exactly

(12:48):
it. It's photo Matt, yougotta wait. Remember those of the chaosk
Yes. Yeah, so that wasall about about us. Now what got
you a sag? I think itwas that. I want to say it
was that because because it was myfirst guest star you know, it was
a guest star role. Yeah,it was Saturday Morning show. But I
think that immediately got me taft heartlead into the UNI. Yeah. So

(13:13):
most of my money on that jobwent to paying the dues. And then
I was in back then they werelike I don't know, yeah, they
were, they were a lot justI just remember when I was in high
school. I think it was likefive hundred back then. Oh wow,
yeah, no, it was morethan that for sure to start and then
pay the due. I can't remember. It was a big chunk up front,

(13:33):
but I was so happy to doit. It felt like such absolutely
sure sign of like you made theright choice, you know. And I
helped, of course, my parentsto see me on air. Yeah,
I'm really and you see that itwas a stave by the Bell kind of
show. They were like, thisis crazy that there's something to this,
you know. Yeah, but howhow long were you there that you landed

(13:54):
that gig? Yeah? I thinkI want to say it had to have
been a year or two. Youknow, it wasn't that long, but
yeah, yeah, I feel likeI was. It could have been sooner.
I just don't remember. You saidwhat year was? Did you say?
It was two thousand and one?Two thousand and one, so no,
that was the year I moved there, So yeah it was. It
was the year. I think Imoved there in two thousands, so it

(14:16):
was two thousand and one that Iyeah. Wow, yeah, so I
got lucky. And again like thatjob didn't open the flood gates because the
show got canceled it, but itdefinitely got you know, got me representation,
got things started. Yes, absolutely, and I have to get started
with my first break. But don'tgo away more with Adam when we come
back after these messages. Wonder Womanwas everything to little girls, especially that

(14:54):
looked like me. She stands forbeing a voice for people that me a
voice. My organization renovates homes forpeople with disabilities, and when I come
home a self care routine makes mefeel my best. I'm very proud of
the difference that we're making. It. To see that impact in my community
inspires me to work even harder foreveryone around me. All right, is

(15:24):
everybody having a good time? That'swhat I thought. All right, So
we are live Paradise Studios in NewYork. Give yourself a round of plus
coming out tonight. Well, Hithere, Teresa, It's Jihan Yorke from

(15:50):
General Hospital. I am just checkingin because apparently you have a great talk
show called Tea Time on Strong IslandTV. I want you to have continued
great success and have a lot offun. It sounds like you're having a
lot of fun, and that's prettymuch the key to everything, isn't it.
So continued success. I'm proud ofyou have a great day, Teresa.

(16:14):
Bye, Hey everybody, welcome backto tea time. I'm so excited
because Adam huss is here with mein studio. It's beautiful Long Island.
And yeah that was John York andJohn York has been battling cancer and from
what I heard, he's going tobe returning on GH and I'm very very

(16:34):
happy about that. So tell meyour experience with him, because you said
you mentioned something about Whale Wolf, and I know you're into like horror.
I love Weale Wolf and Frankenstein andThe Invisible Man and I'm into that stuff
like I used to watch like anytimeit was on, I used to watch
it. So I know you're intohorrors. Yeah, so tell me about
Whale Wolf and John Yorck. Yeah, I mean, yes, I am.

(16:56):
And my uncle got me sorry,my uncle David. And then I
just identified it in these horror thingswith like being the other you know,
but you're you're an artist person inyour feel already left of center, and
I identified with that in these monstermovies and they were really excited exciting,
you know. I like scream Likewas so exciting to me. If I
was to be a part of thatensemble cast all that stuff. But I

(17:17):
my first obsession was werewolves, LikeI love The Wolf Man, the nineteen
you know, fifties Universal movie, and then there was a TV and then
I loved The Howling and that wasthat was one of my favorites. Whenever
that was on wpixation, I wouldbe like glued. That transformation is still
amazing to me. And yeah,American Wolf in London. And then there
was a show called were Wolf thatwas on Fox back in the day like

(17:40):
when a Living Color was on TracyAllman or The Simpsons just started and John
York was the lead. You couldfind it on YouTube the whole series.
He was the lead of the show. And he was a guy who was
whose friend was a werewolf and hewas he went to go try to he
didn't know and went to go talkto guy to like killing himself and the
guy bite turns and bites him andnow he has the curse. So it's

(18:00):
very much like like a Hulk likeincredible. So each episode, each episode
he traveled, he's on the run, each episode traveling trying to find a
cure to this thing. And hegets like an insignia on his hand,
like like of the Pentagram and that'swhat curses him to be where. So
I was so obsessed with that showas a kid. I would think that
I was going to turn the worldin school. A bully was like,

(18:22):
but bothering me, that's really whereI'm gonna have to look for it.
Yeah. And so when I didget to meet him on the stages last
year and I was just like,I have to tell you that, Yeah,
he was blown away. He's like, what, like, you watched
that show, like yes, wow, yeah, because it was only on
one season, but it was butit left an impact. Yeah, it's

(18:44):
it's good. I found I'm goingto watch it. I'm gonna find it.
Got that good cheesy eighties. Sotwo thousand and two, Yeah,
your first soap opera, Days ofOur Lives. Oh yeah, that's right,
yep. Yeah, that was avery small stint, but yeah,
a little little guest star of likesort of like a bartender, spying guy

(19:06):
or something that met I think Imet Hope in the bar. I honestly
can't remember that one. And thenyou you went on and did Bolden and
Beautiful as well. Yeah, yeah, I did Passions first. I was
great. Yeah, And I waslike Jesse Metcalf his doppel ganger or something
like. I played like Miguel's lookalikewas the name of the character. It

(19:27):
was very weird because basically they hadhint like I don't even understand, they
had me playing the character. Butthen we took our masks off and underneath
he was under there. I can'teven remember, but I didn't. I
remember the reveal. Did it makesense? Obviously? While you're in l
A. You did fabulous work fabuloustwo thousand and three, you did Monk

(19:48):
Yes two thousand and five, youdid Las Vegas two thousand and six,
you did See six, You didC S I two thousand and seven,
you did N C I S Andthen you did it just goes on and
on and on. You did youdid Iron Iron, So, yeah,
that was a great experience. Twentyfourteen to twenty sixteen was a huge for
you because you landed the role ofJosh Cantos on Power. I'd had so

(20:11):
many people reach out to me andtell me, oh my god, I
love that show. I loved him, and we have a there you are,
Yeah, there ain't with Omari,Yeah, hard way and what a
wonderful time. Twenty episodes something.Yeah, it was three. I did
three seasons and there were real shortseasons like eight episodes, and I did

(20:32):
like seven out of eight for eachseason. And yeah, I mean it
was it was a really cool experience. I got to be you come back
here. I worked in Brooklyn,CO was in la I came back here.
I worked in Brooklyn Steiner Studios.It was cold. I wasn't u
that it was like the dead ofwinter. But we had we had a
blast. I mean it was allof everyone was just starting because Power now

(20:55):
has five spinoffs. Yeah, butit was the beginning of that whole multiverse.
Was we were the origin series. So everybody was, you know,
deer in headlights but so excited, but also like going into this thing with
like what's going to happen? Youknow we're going to even go past one
season? Right, So that's thequestion every time you got a series.
Yeah. Yeah. I learned alot of lessons on that show, and

(21:17):
the biggest one was like you needto let go of that because everything I
did to get me to a placewhere I was ready for to be a
series regular, like, I kindof forgot it once I got it because
I was like I was white knucklingit, like, I hope they see
I hope, I hope they likemy character, and I hope, like
I just shows your cancel. AndI think that does affect the experience and
sort of what you are putting out, you know, kind of like not

(21:41):
living in the moment. Yeah,it's just so worried and have other things
in your in your in your head. Yeah, that's like when I when
I go on set, I tryto really absorb. Yeah. Now now
now for sure, I am morelike that, thankfully. And I think
back then, just it was sucha big deal and I made it such
a big deal, and you know, everyone dreams of their first series regular,

(22:02):
and I was a serious regular thatI made it too. I made
it my god so to speak, you know, like that was my higher
power whatever, instead of just beingin the moment and letting it go.
And a lot of people there werelike that because it was that we were
all everybody was on shaky ground becauseyou never know if you were going to
like survive the next episode, ifyou're getting a script yeah for the following

(22:23):
week exactly. But I just tellpeople, like my biggest lesson learn and
any job you get is just exactlywhat you said. It's it's just this
step up. It's right here,it's not whoa leap up, and like,
enjoy it, love it, youknow, be grateful that you got
it. And I'm so grateful andblessed when I get a job always,
but like, just do the work, show up, do the work,

(22:45):
and just take it day by day. You know, you never know what's
going to happen, and trust thatthere's a plan behind. Yeah. So
I had to learn it almost thehard way because I made it like a
very anxious experience. But I thinkI came out of it. If I
had not had that, I wouldn'thave come out of that and had knew
I had some work to do onmyself to move to the next step in

(23:07):
my career exactly. Yeah, andthen the next step. You kept going
and going and going and going.I mean, you did twenty four in
twenty sixteen and twenty seventeen, youdid Shattered, You played rock O,
Yes, yes I did. Andagain that show power opened a lot of
doors to these, to these othermovies, these Lifetime movies, these Hallmark

(23:30):
movies, these independent films. Ye, but you play You've played everything from
the leading man to comedy, whichwe're going to get into. But do
you like doing comedy? I do, Yeah, I do. And because
most most of your roles for theI mean, yes, you've played the
romantic lead, and you've played You'veplayed a lot of different characters. But

(23:52):
I've seen you do comedy. Iwatched your clip and I'm laughing and I'm
thinking this. You got the timingday, you got expressions down, and
you made me laugh. That's allthat matters, right, Yeah, thank
you. So you want to domore of that in the future. I
do. And I love you knowcoming from you these a lot because I
know how funny you are, justfrom our conversation before. But it's true.

(24:15):
And and and my cousin Nicole, she always says to me, and
we grew up together making movies andjust doing silly stuff. She's not in
the business at all, but shewas my first like a victim. I
pulled her into all the stuff andshe was like, you are so funny.
Why are you always doing these likeheavy things? Why are you dying
in every show? Like where's thewhere's all the characters used to play?
And all that? But you know, Hollywood does that. They take you

(24:37):
as one thing and you get kindof put pigeonhole there for a while.
So now I'm starting able to branchout into that and to and get to
play these other funny I feel likeI'm always like a character actor in here.
So it's like that stuff is gettingto come out, and I really
love that because that's where to me, like the fun lives and the richness.
I love it. I hope youget to do more. Thank you,

(24:57):
really do, thank you, andthen twenty twenty one, twenty twenty
one to twenty twenty four, becauseright now your character is on hold.
Let's say General Hospital people. Nowwe'll put up a couple of picks.
Okay, Bagel, there's there's GenieJanie Francis, and that's Nicholas Yes,

(25:23):
and you the other Nicholas Cassdine, and that's you in jail, because that's
what your character is right now.But listen to me. I've been watching
GH since high school, which Itold you, and I'm obsessed. I
am. I'm If I do notwatch it at three o'clock every day on

(25:44):
Channel seven, I watch it ondemand. Okay, you're going to say
no, but I can't. No, not that are you going I got
to be home with three' glock towatch h No. But I have it
on demand, so sometimes I'll watchit in the morning if I don't watch
it the day before. But sometimesI'll go on vacation and I'll miss the
whole week and then I'll come backand bing it. But it's just a
show that shout out to my cousinJoanne Norton turned me onto. When I

(26:10):
went down to Florida, I'm like, what do you watch? It was
gh I'm like, what, what'sGeneral Hospital? And you know, and
back then you had Luke and Lauraand you had you know, you talk
in the eighties. Oh yeah, everyone everyone knows Luke and Laura. I
mean, no matter who you are, man or woman. Yes. In
fact, when when I was fishingthe other day, this woman whose house
where we docked the boat told methat in the seventies, when Luke and

(26:30):
Laura got married, she had allthe the the guys who dig for muscles
and clams come to her house, like, and they were all watching this
the wedding. Yeah, And Iwas like, well, that's so if
I got I said, Laura ismy mom on the show. And she
was like, Oh my god, that's that's really cool to say. I
feel like that. Yeah, ohmy god. It's an amazing show and

(26:52):
I love all the characters. AndI had Ronnie Marmo on the show and
I'll send him and I mentioned Isend the show too, but Ronnie was
on, and you know, hehad played a detective, a cop back
back in the day. And thenCarolyn Hennessy, who plays Diane Miller,
she was fabulous and now I'm justlook. I had to do them through

(27:15):
zoom because they were in LA andI'm just so thrilled that you happen to
be in New York, you happento be filming something, you're visiting with
your family, and you were sosweet and kind to take the ride.
I know you're from Long Island andyour family's still on Long Island, but
to take the ride to meet meand to come in studio, it is
huge. It's such an honor tobe here, seriously, because I love

(27:37):
Long Island, and I think Ilove that there's film and TV and this
happening here. To me, that'sI never thought i'd be back here doing
film and being able to see myfamily the way I am and then doing
a talk show that's so professional, well done, and yeah, it's really
cool. You got to you gotto remember your roots, and I don't
you do. Stay humble because mymother said, never split up. It

(28:00):
comes back down. It does. It's true, and you know you gotta
be And I'm like you said,I'm earlier. I'm so happy to always
just be working and on a setand always grateful. Always. You got
to have a certain you know, you have to have a certain ownership of
why you're there and that you didthe work to get there. And I
have that about my work as anactor. I know why I'm there.

(28:22):
I know the work I put into get there, both on my craft
and mentally, and so I that'sI'm you know, I have. I
have a respect for that part ofit and myself. But I'm always honored
and humbled to get a job andgrateful to be there, you know.
Always. Yeah, I really am. We talked, We talked. We
talked about that we take my secondbreak. This is going so fast,

(28:47):
stay right there, want with Adamhust when we get back after this wonder
woman was everything to little girls, especially that looked like me. She stands

(29:08):
for being a voice for people thatneed a voice. My organization renovates homes
for people with disabilities, and whenI come home a self care routine makes
me feel my best. I'm veryproud of the difference that we're making,
and to see that impact in mycommunity inspires me to work even harder for

(29:29):
everyone around me. Hi. I'mGeorgia Rose, founder of Zankuda. You
can watch me on the soul Spacepodcast every Friday at noon on Channel twenty
for spiritual guidance. And as youall know, that is how I first
opened into my own psychic gifts wasthrough the angelic realm astrology. And so
we've got Mars and the Sun togetherin Scorpio, which creates a lot of

(29:52):
combustion, and the astrological world wecall it Akadini and taro. When the
four cups right side up, itmeans me a lot of choices to make,
and we're not looking at what's reallybeing divinely given to us. We're
to busy in the busyness of thechoices to really see the divine intervention of
divine timing and find guy where theplace watch the soul Space podcast. I

(30:26):
ain't doing south the voice valent today. Why are you watching me? You
should be watching Teresa Condistracy tee Timewith Teresa Kinda, Stracy Pharrel. Make
sure you follow Teresa on Facebook TeeTime with Teresa Kindastracy far We'll see you
there the way you say my name. Hey, everybody, welcome back to

(30:48):
time with Adam Hust. And Iwas so excited before the break week we
talked about him being Nicholas Cassadine onGeneral Hospital, and I have to say,
soap opera Didres said Adam Hust wastrumand Nicholas thank you for reading that.
That's so cool. Yeah, thatwas the best part is like I
knew of this character. I wasn'ta huge soap opera watcher. I had

(31:10):
watched in college days of our livespeople would watch, I have watched parties
and I but I was always awareof how of them and how cool the
characters looked. And I was veryaware of Nicholas Cassadine and Elizabeth and Lucky.
I was very aware of that triangle. Yes, and so you know
to be when I remember when Igot the sides and I read for because

(31:30):
I did test for the role Oka, and so when I read that,
I remember thinking, this is NicholasCassadine. I know he hadn't been on
in a while. Yeah, AndI knew that, and I was like,
and I had tested for a rolebefore that I didn't get And it
was one of those things of likeof like trusting that what's meant for you
will come to you, and thechime and the timing, and a big

(31:51):
shout out to Mark Testner because hereally does keep his word when he says
I'm gonna do worry, I'm gonnabring you back. They loved you.
You hear that a lot, right, and then you don't hear it yet
he They are very very loyal likethat. If they, if him or
Frank who's the show owner, believein you, they keep trying to bring
you back in. So when Iread for that the size, I knew
who it was and I didn't.I didn't wind up getting it, but

(32:14):
I was told that it was closewhatever. So then when I did get
to start filling in here and there, it was you know, that's tough
because when you fill in these thesoap fans are very loyal, which is
beautiful and so and they're very vocaland so there was a lot of pushback
on me. You know, whois this and why is he stepping in?
And you know, the guy whowas playing and was doing a great

(32:35):
job and he had his also hisfollowing. Yes, So just the fact
that this has all gotten to whereit's gotten that I am now officially Nicholas.
You know, I like to say, yeah, yeah, I like
to say his full name, youknow, Nicholas mikhale Severalovich. Come on.
You know the fact that I gotto play him and be there and

(32:59):
have these beautiful fans come up tome, It's it's really been such a
cool, just cool experience because it'sa huge part of history. That character
is so important to me. Nowthe character is in my bones. Yeah,
and I can't shake him, youknow. So when I first saw
you, because obviously I'm one ofthose things, yeah yeah, I was

(33:20):
like, h yah, see whathe brings to the team. Yeah yeah,
and you bought it? Thank you, thank you, okay, thank
you? And I like that honesty. And you know what, I appreciated
honesty. And that's what I saidon line some of these fans, I
said, I get it. I'ma huge TV movie fan. When someone
tries to come in and replace arole, and I'm like, who is
this guy? I don't I don'twant to give him a chance. I
want my guy back. But youknow, Tyler Christopher the original killed killed

(33:45):
in that part. So I hadI had just a lot of worked,
beautiful work to pull from, andI write backstories on characters anyway, so
I was able to watch those YouTubeclips and just you know, build this
beautiful backstory of him and his son'srelationship and his mother and his father and

(34:07):
all that stuff was so you know, people sometimes will knock a soap operas
for being over dramatic, but Ijust thought, it's like a comic book.
There's stories are so deep and fun. It's like a fantasy. It's
like Game of Thrones. It's allthose things. And they'll say the last
thing I'll say is the moment Iwalked onto set when I came back to
fill in for him, like ona bigger four episode thing. I remember,

(34:28):
I was so nervous this time, and like because now like you know,
you've done it once and now you'rebacking. You're like, oh my
god, I got it. AndI walked in and I saw his table
in his castle had these like Phoenixheads on it like I'm both And I
looked at it and I'm like, that's who this guy is. That's who
you are right now stepping on here. There's no fear here, Like,
that's who this guy is. Hebought this table, like this is your

(34:52):
Prince Nicholas, get in there. So it was that was very cool to
step onto there and just feel itover take over me. Well, you
know, General Hospital just won forEmmys. I did, okay, the
Best Directing yeah rating, Best SupportingPerformance by Robert Gossit, who plays Marshall

(35:14):
Ashford, who is actually Lucas Jr'sfirst cousin. By the way, Wow,
I didn't know that. That's socool. And Best Drama Series.
So now that is a total grandtotal of I don't know. I thought
I wrote it down here like sixteenor something. I mean for g H,

(35:35):
but four for this year. Iwatched them, just like the Tonys,
the Tony Sunday night, I watchedthe Tonys. I had a date
with Tony. I watched and II just love I just love all that.
Yeah, And that's why again I'mso grateful to have been now embraced
by a lot of the community andthat they I hear them, I see
them online one. Yeah, andI'm so glad that they when I say

(35:57):
I'm officially Nicholas, that's what Imean, that they see me as that,
and that's huge. It's huge, huge, and I love it because
I'm a fan. Yeah, yeah, I agree. You guys mean that,
your your comments always mean the mostof me because the stories like I
watched it with my grandma when Iwas too when, you know, yeah,
and that that to me, Imean, it's been connected to that
family thing. Four years sixty six. Well, they actually it was the

(36:21):
sixtieth anniversary sixty one, I think, ok, I think so something like
that. Sixty It was black andwhite, yes, yes, when they
first thought it. Yeah, andthe nurses had those hats. Yes.
So that connection is kind of likethe family thing we talked about. You
know, that that everyone has thisfamilial connection to it is why I love
being a part of besides loving thatcharacter, loving being part of that machine.

(36:43):
We're all sudden. Well, theydon't wait to make us wait too
long for you to yeah, stayin jail. I hope they find some
kind of loophole. Yeah, Yeah, that'd be nice. Diane Miller has
got to team up with Alexis orsomething. I don't know. Definitely,
definitely. You also produced, yes, Simon Induced, some films that you

(37:07):
have. You have your own productioncompany, Molecule Production, Yes, Molecule
Production that you formed with Adam Bucci. Yes, yeah, and you have
done horror TV series Let It KillYou, right, and I think there
it is. That's it. Yeah, well it was okay, so this

(37:27):
was a movie. This is actuallya movie, yes, that we then
we filmed, uh like a proofof concept pilot that people were interested in,
and then we started pitching it asa series and now on top of
it, yeah yeah, and nowit's there's interest again for it as a
film. So right now we're likeback pitching it as as a feature.
But there is like a piece outthere I can send to you. It's

(37:51):
it's very cool. We built likea whole were wolf site again the were
wolf thing. This is a werewolfshow to show you my horror picture.
You're can appreciate it. I wouldlove to see it. And then you
did the original original true, Yes, that's what we're doing. These are
all movie things we're producing that youwrote, wrote and created this Yeah,

(38:12):
and coming up of age high school. Yes, comedy in the vein of
like pretty in pink meets like ScottPilgrim, if you ever know that,
because there's a little bit of animationin it. Yeah, there is.
There is a little bit of animation. You also wrote and produced High Steaks.
This was a short. Yep,that was a short. You won
m night I would saying his lastname right, thank you, Shyamalan Vote

(38:37):
by Night contests. Yes, andhe actually said, wow, like this
is this is awesome, this isgreat, good things are coming from these
people. Yeah, yeah, howcrazy? You know everything that It was
crazy, That was surreal And Idid direct that and I wrote it and
directed it was it was a realsmall piece, but it was pretty cool.
But it was powerful. Yeah, super funny and it's just memorable.

(39:01):
Yeah. Yeah, I guess enoughto win this thing from him. And
we met We met him. Wehad a zoom with him and yeah,
he was like, I want tosee what's coming from you guys and send
me Yeah. So amazing, amazingAnd I love your mission statement. Okay,
your mission statement is if I couldread this because I wrote it so
fast, telling exciting, groundbreaking, out of the box, hot felt stories

(39:24):
and all genres. Yeah, Ilove that that changed the molecules in a
room. I had a teacher sayto me once with your performance, go
in there and change the molecules inthat room. And that stuck with me
and so I was like, Iwant to give my company changers in the
night. It was also that wasthat you premiered that last year. I
think, yes, at that theMan's Chinese Theater at Screamfest. So it

(39:49):
was like a big it's a bigLa horror fest. That was very cool.
That was another short film that nowthere's interest in it as a series
or TV show. You never know. So yeah, that was and that
was a lot of fun. Wantmore. Yeah, and we feel that
during COVID and the whole thing wasabout two serial killers. Stuck woman opened
that when the woman opens the doors, wait wait wait, wait, my

(40:10):
my car broke down a bunch ofmocau. Wait you don't have COVID.
Yeah, it was everyone had thesame line when they got into each other,
like wait, it's safe to comein COVID. It was super funny.
Wait. The full line was you'reyou're negative, right, So that
was like your COVID negative right? That was the negative. Oh my gosh,

(40:34):
so so I mean, just sofunny. Thank you, Oh my
god. So you you've also completedanother wrong calm. Love is in the
Air. Yeah, yep, Loveis in the Air. That was that's
out now, it's out now.And want to be all washed Up?
So wanta be all washed Up?Is something that we just finished. It's
like a mockumentary like Waiting for Guffman. If you are best in show,

(40:55):
like like with you know, CaptainO'Hara and stuff that, it's like that.
Yeah, that's a comedy. Wehave some picks. Let's throw them
up through them. Okay, thankyou. I was waitness I'm Protected with
Daphne Zuniga. Yes, that wasgreat. I saw I watched that scene.
That was very very good all forher. Yeah, that was based
on true story. That was alifetime movie shot in Arkansas really during the

(41:19):
pandemic. Yeah. She was greatto work with. Oh infamously. Yeah,
this was cute. It was likethe Jennif Phillips movie with like the
basically like I fall, small townguy, falls in love with the rock
star, doesn't know she's a rockstar. Yeah. That was a lot
of fun. Painkillers. Yeah, this one was a heavy, like dramatic
horror kind of thing. It wasone of my most challenging roles. Yeah,

(41:42):
that was really one of my mostchallenging roles pain Killers. It was.
I was going to ask you, what was your most challenging role.
Yeah, that was one of them, I'd say, because I had to
have this physical shake the entire moviewow, and I had to like develop
that in an organic way. SoI literally would like build it from in
here and it wou was just thewhole and I would be shaking the whole
day. Like my ass never lookedso good. You know, it looks

(42:05):
good, but that's physically. I'mpretty sure it's what helped me get me
have me like a back injury, because you know, you're so tense,
Yes, the whole the whole time. And it was a lot of like
my son wants up dying in acar. Yeah, they did get me
one the producers that was very niceto them. Yeah you needed that.
Yeah, but it was only afterlike the first weeks were film. A

(42:27):
couple of weeks here, I mightneed a couple of massages. No,
I'm just joking, but what elsego? Yeah, that's another mother that
was then then called stalk by myhusband's ex lifetime name emotional. Yeah that
was and she was. She wasgreat, Alex. She played my wife.
She was so good and working offher was wonderful. I always loved

(42:51):
when co stars want to fall inlove, you know, like it's safe,
it's a safe space. I'm respectful, they're respectful, and they and
we got a fall in love becausewe got to go there, and sometimes
you have two weeks to do iton these lifetime films. So I love
when they're when the other actors justcame to go there. That's our job.
You know. If you're not attractedto me, fine, but just
make it up. Let's have funnhere. Find something very easy on the

(43:15):
eye. Wouldn't be an issue foranyone. I appreciate that. What else
do we have? Oh yeah itwas Muna yeah, Muna, this is
it's funny. I just last weekI went to this movie and it was
almost like it's like a no nofi no this is this was This was
a Nigerian film that we filmed ithere and they filmed in Nigeria, even

(43:37):
came out here, but it wasa big movie in Nigeria and that the
actress at day sweat. Tome waslike, is there Julia Roberts. Okay,
And it's funny because that's how Iwas introduced. When I met her.
It's very sweet, loved working withher. I was her loving just
as well. It was like kindof a mob thing. My dad was
played by Robert Miano and we wewere in the mob and they had wound

(43:58):
up killing her family back in theday, so she was there for revenge
and she was just with me tokill me. But then we fall in
love. So then yeah, AndI met these people from Nigeria last week,
these Nigerian filmmakers, and I askedthem I was introducing Adam. Yeah,
I said, do you know what? They talked to me like she's
yes, she's she's huge, amovie star there. And I was like,
wow, I did call moon andthey were like what. So it

(44:21):
was very yeah, because no onereally knows it here, but there they
do. Was that it anything else? I don't know, just asking,
just checking that, was it?Okay? Thank you? We'll save those
Yeah, we'll save that. Okay, all right, thank you. Yeah.
We have to take another break. We have take another break. This
is my last break. People awayhaving so much fun, tutes. I

(44:45):
will be back after this wonder womanwas everything to little girls, especially that
looked like me. She stands forbeing a voice for people that need a

(45:08):
voice. My organization renovates homes forpeople with disabilities, and when I come
home a self care routine makes mefeel my best. I'm very proud of
the difference that we're making. It. To see that impact in my community
inspires me to work even harder foreveryone around me. Hey, everybody,

(45:30):

the entertainment industry, producers, directors, actors, and guess what My show

Thank you so much for supporting.Yes, that's the name of your
sitcom because that's just out of nowherenuts and listen, you know, I
forgive me. I mentioned my dadthe beginning of the show. For Father's
Day, let's Adam with his dadand his brother. Yeah, you guys
are on the boat. Yeah. That was Sunday. It was beautiful day.
I really didn't want to wake upand go go that early, but

(47:08):
I'm so glad I did. Wehad such a great time. Oh god,
we were up at six am.Yeah, oh boy. But when
I looked at them, like, hell long we've been out. No,
I loved it. I loved everyminute of it. It really, I
really did. I never get tobe with my dad on Father's Day rarely
because I'm in La so I'm herefilming and I got to be with them.
And the only thing that was mylittle brother because he's upstate. Yeah.

(47:30):
Yeah, he had a softball tournament. Cool, very cool. To
listen. I got seven minutes leftto talk about everything else. So right
now, you are currently, ifnot finishing season two of the award winning
web series No Must Day Bitch is. Yeah, sadly, that's sober because
the lead actress passed away. Shecreated this whole series and very sad.

(47:52):
But I had a blast and thatwas really fun and you played out the
sam Yeah, thank you, thankyou. It was so much fun.
I was like really excited at thatthat her series got picked up by Spielberg
to be this developed series and thenit didn't go anywhere and she made a
season two years later and right afterit was finished. Very sad story.

(48:13):
So listen, let's get to nowa friend, my new friend, your
old friend, Candice Cane, CandyCane, Candy cannot be on Long Island,
but just upcoming you have. Youjust did wedding Bell with Eric Roberts
and his beautiful wife. You diddouble booking, correct, That's why I'm

(48:37):
here. Thank you Candy from lettingme play so cool book one day.
I hope to have a scene withI do too. We will, we
will put it out for you,put it out the universe. So excited
and double Booking, and you dida lot of other things like Pieces of
Leelo, a Moment of Love, the kid in the mirror, want to

(48:58):
be all washed up. It goeson and on and on. With Kansas,
she did double Booking, you didthe Wedding Bell, You did Peekaboo.
Yes, Peekaboo, which is ahorror thriller. That's where I first
I auditioned, first met her there, got cast and really we hit it
off on set. I love theway she directs and she we just had
like I said, now we havethis unspoken language now, but even then,

(49:19):
like she just started showing me likecertain things and this is the work
that I did for the character Ibrought. I was I'm always open to
what the directors in tradition, especiallybecause she's the writer and producer. So
she gave me such wonderful little cluesthat informed me where to go. And
then I felt like that together webuilt this like really great character, you

(49:42):
know, and we had a lotof fun. Were like we just kept
diving into this darker and darker placeand I don't think she wanted to be
that dark, and it just keptgoing. She's like, we have to
just lean. It was it wasgreat the day we filmed. I'm not
giving anything away, but let's justsay that I happened to also do stand
up comedy and be a comedian. And the scene that I ended up doing
ended up turning out a little funny. Yeah that, and she's like,

(50:07):
let's go with it. Let's gowith it. I love it, okay,
because it's a funny. It is, no, it is, and
it just it just it just workedout. And I thank you so much
again for the opportunity. I couldn'tstop thanking her. The best part.
There's so many good things about Kennis'sdirector writer, but also she is along
Island. There there is a kindnessthat to actors like you know, again

(50:29):
we talked earlier that Hollywood can pigeonholepeople, but she doesn't. She she
does make everyone audition for every part. I did not just get each part
handed to me. She had toaudition for each part that I got through
her. But I like that becauseshe knows, she believes you can do
it. That's why she's asking youto do it. And then if if
it's if it's working, boom yourbook. So I like that because she

(50:51):
gives newcomers a chance and she givesshe's very generous, and she gives you
a chance to work outside of thebox, a different role. Love it.
I totally totally love it. Sothat brings us to her. Wait
it says you were writer. Wait, I'm sorry, let me go back,
Uh find what you love? Andyou wrote that right originally? Yes,

(51:15):
but now we've we've had David conyou took that over because that was
before I really wanted to be awriter and now writing the last five years
now okay, sitting myself a writerfinally, Good for you, Good for
you? All right, So thisgets us to this is the last three
minutes. Hello, but I wantyou to know that you could follow Adam
he Adam is on Facebook, He'son Instagram, He's on Twitter, and

(51:37):

Go there. You can see videos, you can see what he's doing,
you can read about him. It'sbeautiful, beautiful, beautiful website. Okay,
So the last thing we're going totalk about is heavy Hitters. Heavy
Hitters. Candace Candy Caine again,Heavy Hitters. She you guys just celebrated

(52:00):
She did a live from City Fieldwith she cast all the baseball players.
If you could not play baseball, you should not have showed up to this
audition. The first thing she wantedto know is that you can pass for
a professional baseball player. And peopledid, and people got called back.

(52:22):
And one of those peoples, myPeople's calm on character. I he calmine
and I are family from bat BoyYankee Miracle. And when he called me
to tell me, I get emotionalthat he is going to be a series

(52:46):
regular. I literally cried in thecar. I am just so thrilled for
him. I really am fellow peer. We do we do, and I
am excited about the series. Candyis excited about this series. I am
trying to hook her up with Docand other people. You know, you

(53:07):
know he gat he knows a lotof connections, and you know he might
turn out to be a Spanish coach. I don't know what's going to happen.
I know I'm hoping to read fora part as well, and I
let go. I like God,whatever is going to happen is going to
happen. That's my motto. Gotgot it, trust it. You had
a great time at City Field withthese guys, and they're all great.

(53:30):
Yeah, they're all really great. So said to Candis Man, you have
such an eye and the way youcast, and they the passion she puts
it in the time. She reallypainstakingly, you know, not only vetted
through the acting, but everyone's nay, yeah, Well she's very passionate about
it. I've only known her sinceMarch now, but I see this electricity

(53:50):
this series and it's just really good. It exudes from her. It's just
you know, I mean, I'ma very positive person and I want to
be around her. You feel Ifeel like you feel this around her.
If she believes in you in theproject, it's her. It's a real
beautiful thing, and just let itbe in a nice way. There's no

(54:12):
forcing it. It's just like ifit's meant to be great, and if
she sees that wonderful. We developeda friendship and I know if she didn't
hire me, that'd be fine too. I just support and want Well,
I'm thanking her again because of herbeing on the show. She connected us,
Yes, and she did via that'swho she is, yeah, video
Facebook chat. Well I was inBig Bear. Yeah you're in Big Bear.

(54:34):
Hid I see you again. I'mjust so glad and bliss go.
I'll put you in my path becausepeople are a lesson or a blessing,
and I'm just glad you're here. And I feel exactly just as blessed as
you, so I'm glad to beI appreciate that. Hey listen, we
are out of time, but I'mso glad we did this. My door
is always open me too, andI just want to thank everyone for watching

(54:55):
tea time and supporting me. Remember, tell everyone you love you, love
of them, and I'll see younext week. Everybody, chap tell me
