So you know, usually holidays are here, so I'll get
hit up by the corporate companies and we're like, hey,
we need the DJ here, and there nothing dude, this
this year nothing like I didn't get This is the
first year that I have not had.
Speaker 2 (01:39):

an event, but once we gave him the price, it
was ghost.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Hey.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
So look I had two different people hit me up too,
and yeah, ghosts.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
And one one of them was a friend. And I
didn't even I didn't even.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Tell her like a like a high amount, yeah at
all like it like I was like, oh, this is
like a homie hookup. Like I was like, okay, yeah,
I could do it for five hundred bucks like that.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
That's like a regular party.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
That's that's not even that's not even like this is
a holiday corporate party. You're in the medical field. I
know you got money. They didn't want to spend five
hundred bucks.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, I don't know. Something about this year is just
you know, everybody's hurting for bread. Bro, everybody's hurting for bread.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
I am okay, I don't know if this counts, but
I am gonna DJ the Innovative Christmas Party Oh, there
it is.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Was it gonna be the same Christmas party that last
time everybody's standing around, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
It's gonna be. It's just gonna be. That's why I
even told her too. I was like, yo, so what
am I gonna be doing? At first?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
That they got the idea to do karaoke? So I
gotta have, like, like I told him too, like it.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
We'll just have just had the laptop.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Played off of YouTube and then you can look at
my computer screen for the word. So if anyone does
want to sing it, which I don't know, they're gonna
have all go there, so they might want to. But
I know Tracy wants to sing like some Disney songs,
so she said I better be ready with the Disney
stuff because she's a Disney chick, so she's all about
that life.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
And I'm just like, all right, whatever, did you guys
getta paint something? I'm good. They're talking about get me
a cart, so I'm like, yeah, yeah, run that cart.
I'm like, yeah, run the cart. I don't care if
it's a be stock or not. Yeah, run that. I'm
with it. Just shoot it and ship. Last night was
actually my last show for this year with a corner Bread.
We did the Back to Basics. We was on stage,
(03:22):
the main stage, back to how it was. It was popping,
bro it was popping. It was packed. You know. I
saw loom Man Indigenous. I saw a lot of people
up in there, man like it was. It was. It was.
It was dope. It was dope. So you know, I
had a good time with that yo before even my
day started. Son, I literally walk up in the morning,
brushed my teeth, comb my head. I put on some
(03:44):
short songs, my beaters, you know what I'm saying, my shoes.
I went straight to like the mall, like the inside,
swapped me mall, and I came out with all new
ship bro I was. I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
run that run out yoose those kicks right there, Yeah,
I'm gonna buy those kicks, put them on and started
walking around. Yeah those fans, yeah, those bands, Yeah, I
brought those. I put them on it.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
So let me let me run down this this lineup
that was over there at Back to Basics. So we
had Ray Kwan's Soldier Mischief, Big Jack and Master Ace
and Marco Polo Tash of the Alcoholics, Feel the Agony
and Friends rather rugged man DJ Baboo Sixty's destruct, mister
c R Monstro a dude. Everyone in their mom was there, bro,
(04:28):
everyone in the hop mom was up.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
It was hopping, Bro, it was popping.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
I know, the the the whole uh like the merch
village and stuff. It was run by a culture market too,
so I know they had They had sent us an
email too to see if I wanted to do it,
but I already knew probably weren't going to get into it.
So why say that, Well no, because honestly, dog, I
kind of stay away from a lot of stuff in
December just because it's holidays.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Bro, I understand the holidays. It would have been fun.
It would have been fun.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
It would have been fun, but I already know, like, no,
it's and then plus, okay, the Toy Drive ended up
LTB Troy Drive ended up having on that day too,
so kind of like a little bit busy. Manny Lynx
is actually in Miami right now for Art Basil, and
that's what he was telling me. He was like, Dog,
you guys all need to come to Art Basle And
I'm like, dog, I'm not trying to go to Miami
in December. You know what, I mean like, I don't know,
(05:17):
I just stay away from things in December.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
It's all good. Bro, break bro, break that it's all
good this December. You know, a lot, a lot of
transitioning came with you this ship.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Man.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
You stop smoking, you stop drinking. Look at you, bro,
Damn you just act like I'm not fun tomorrow. I
don't want to go to Miami. No. No, he's like
touchy right now, bro.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
No, I offered you guys to my my na, so
I'm like, damn, I'm down two more right now. Fuck,
that's what got me mad. I wanted to, you know,
take the take the edge off.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
That's what him.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
It says eight zero five. Yeah, they're the new Ato fives.
They just they just came out the.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Five on the real. I never tried one, but you
know you what's crazy, man? I like the Heineken ones. Man. No,
I never tried the n A so I was like
throwing up. This is like an adult soda. What do
you mean? No adult soda. I don't like the way
it tastes, son. I don't like the way, but but
(06:17):
you know, for me, it's you know what it does,
it's actually good better for you, bro, But I ain't
trying to bro It says zero What it says contains
less than zero point five percent alcohol volume. Yeah that's
all of the one. Yeah, it's point zero five. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
I mean so you gotta, like, you gotta drink like
what is it like fifty of them to get to
one percent?
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Yeah? Yeah, but it is what it is is. I
guess I'm sorry. I don't. I don't. I don't have
beer here for no. I like, I like it. I
like the honey Kings, though the honeking ones are whack.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
The Coronas are good because they taste like Corona doesn't
really the Corona tastes exactly like a I'm gonna try,
can try it, Okay, Look, I don't like. I don't
like Heineken period. Heinigen's fucking ugly dog that bubble bird
beer like nasty.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Food, Like you don't like it. It tastes like arm
pit juice food. What you mean? It tastes like arm
pit juice like dog. That's just that's that's what. That's why.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
And I'm not saying that because I don't drink now,
like I've always thought that, like Heinegen is just weird,
like nah, he don't know.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
I like it. I like it. It's all good, and.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Then and then the and then that's why I don't
like the Heineken non alcoholic because Heineken has a very
specific taste and then it's not in no non alcoholics.
So to me, it's like, okay, I can tell I'm
not drinking trick me, at least tricked me. Like these
they don't taste like Ato five, So I won't buy
them again. Like I just bought this because it's a brand news,
so I was like, oh, let me try it. I
(07:49):
actually I won't buy it again because it doesn't taste
like an Ato five, So there's no point the Coronas.
That's why I stay loyal to the Corona, because that
motherfucker tastes like a Corona. It's like, okay, I could
I could drink this and be like, all right, give
me another.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I'm gonna try a Corona bro Coronas. The Corona is legit.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Do they make dark non alcoholic beers, Well, they make
I pas and everything.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Guinness actually has had and that tastes like Guinness. Oh ship, Yeah,
it has a little filtering in the cup and everything.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah, you know, I ain't gonna hold you. Man. You
know what drinker is, Like, I'm not. I don't really
care for beer anymore. My drink, my go to drink,
is old fashion, bro.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
That's why you never know when you're drunk. Though I
love because you want to drink like three or four
of them. That's not how you drink old fashions.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I love old fashions, bro.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
I know, dog, you'd be faded, dog, be faded with
your with your headlights you got to turn on and off.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
I'm like, dog, please let me drive. Like did you
get did you get a fixed I ordered part? I know, dog?
Is that that import ship? That's crazy? Man? You know
it's just too much.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
What is is like a twelve hundred dollars for spark plug?
Right yo? Those Audi's, Bro, I'm telling you be those
is money pits. Man, there's money pits. But it is
what it is.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Man.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
I'm in the process of about to buy another car
that's dope. Yeah, So I.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Know I think I I think I'm gonna have to
get into some payment plan to and give me an
Oh man, I don't like that. Well, because my son's
about to be eighteen, he's gonna be out of school,
So I mean, I don't know what his mom's plan is.
So now I gotta like think about that by summertime.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
You know, Yeah, well what else? Man? A shot? A shot?
He got this mystery box thing going on?
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Bro?
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Oh yeah I did Black Pridy? G Did you guys
buy anything for Black Pridy? Did you buy anything shot?
Did you come up on anything? I did, but I
don't remember what it was. It wasn't anything extravagant, like, no,
I didn't even. I didn't even. I don't share nothing.
I didn't buy ship bro, Bro, Hey, the mystery box
you were trying to show me yesterday? My boy? Random
as come on, so you got you said your son,
(09:50):
I got a mystery box? I said, where else? Thinking
about getting one too, just to see what's up? You
know how I got? Yo, didn't just give you a
fucking a big old box. And they got a whole
bunch of different shit in there. You don't know what it's.
And I was like, Doc, I'm you gotta have my
twenty bucks. You gonna have my twenty bucks. Fucking let
me just see what's in this bitch.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Fucking geminis over. You're buying a fucking dark Web mystery
box a cadaver foot and ship and I was like, nah,
mind the record mystery box. I pulls up from random
ass ship like.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I was like right. I was like, mother fuck, you
didn't tell me about this ship. He was like, I
damn you didn't read my message. I'm like mother show.
He showed us a picture.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
This ship had an Xbox remote and like a pack
of batteries and shoe laces.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I was like an explosion. Now it looks like it
looked like a Kmart center. Yo, yo, I'm still on
one of these days. Will get one, bro and open
this upright ship. You brought this up. Let's let's open
this right now. All right, brot boxes on the side
of you. So okay.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
So uh if anybody knows Rhyme Sayers dot com, they
they had a Black Friday mystery box and I believe
it will It was fifty bucks for five records, and
then I bought the CD one too, so it was
five CDs for fifteen bucks. So I got it right here.
So yeah, check out Rhymesteries dot com. I know that's
(11:13):
a that's also too where I got my my MF
doom food. The twenty fifth anniversary cassette too. I got
one of the chocolate bones too, so that shit was dope.
But yeah, so I'm gonna open this up right here.
Nice little package, and it came pretty quick. I'm just saying,
because it was Black Friday. I've been sitting on it
and my son keeps on asking me. He's like, dad's
jobing it. Dad's jobing itt Dad job. I'm like, nah, man,
(11:34):
until we record, it's like a show thing, you know
what I mean. We've been talking a lot about records lately.
That's why when I seen this, you know what I mean,
I was like, yo, I got to pick this up
so and then I know, potentially let me talk about
like maybe something that I hope is in here. So,
like I said, they got a bunch of the MF
Doom stuff in there. So if something that anything MF
Doom in here or KMD, I'm gonna be excited.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
All right, consider it'll win. Yeah, you know what I mean,
it is already gonna be gonna be joke. You know
what was you playing in my head right now? When
he opened up the record, he was like, man, I
hope it's like a colored record, you know, I hope
it is like a colored record and ship and he
opened up all happy and shit and you it's black.
I know, I got the most generic version. You got one.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
And then also too, they do have a lot of
atmosphere in there too, So if there's something atmosphere in here,
that'd be dope. I know, I think they got some
black Star stuff on there. I know Evidence has a
couple of stuff on their album. So I mean, so
they're honestly anything that's in there rhyme says it'd be dope.
So I'm gonna I'm just gonna it's not gonna be
a blind look. I'm gonna okay, look, because there's it's
(12:38):
already kind of mixed up, so I could see the CDs.
So let's go over the CDs first, Okay, do it.
So I got the first CD in my hand first.
Oh look, I got the Black Basters KMD CD. I'm
pretty excited. Hell yeah, this is dope.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
So before MF Doom was M Doom, him and his brother,
they were in this right here. I'm excited to add
that to the test.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
What I'm saying down fifteen bucks, so five CDs to me,
that's already a win. That's a fifteen bucks right there.
That's already fifteen bucks, so you know what I mean. Okay,
so grabbing another CD. This one's a little thinner, this
one right here. But I know I'm not even looking
in the box. Oh shit, Okay, this is the Brother
Ali album, right that's dope. All right, So we got
the Brother Ali album right here? All yeah, all right,
we're keeping it going, keeping it going.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
I'm all excited. Yeah, I'm already excited so far. Can't wait.
The records are broot. Jump up again. I see who
we got right here?
Speaker 3 (13:27):
This is oh, this is okay, Oh this is this
is Lady Ford and an Atmosphere right here.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
So this is the Atmosphere album right here. That's dope.
Hell yeah, yeah you should look kind of demonic, dog,
I know, he said, I know, yeah, like Atmosphere.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Atmosphere gets a little deep, dog, I don't know. Yeah, gee,
I'm excited. I got a CD player in the car,
so you.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Know they're all gonna go to the web right here.
We're going right here and the Dino Spectrum.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Oh, this is fucked. This is Slug yeah, hell yeah,
so this is Slug. Yeah, this Slug's album. So also
that's slug from atmosphere.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
So yeah, I'm excited. Yeah, it's fucking dope.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Okay, last CD out of the mystery but dog, this
is fifteen bucks. Fifteen bucks, I'm saying this is dope.
Jem and I looked it up too, so these mystery
boxes are already gone.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Yes. Oh and then this is Evidence's.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Album, so yeah, word seel like I'm saying, dog, fifteen bucks,
Dog already a freaking win right here.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Dog.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
So now pretty excited about the records, except for I
would I would like if the Evidence and the KMD
record were in here, but I don't know if they're
gonna give me the record and the CD, so I
don't know we're gonna see Okay, so record number one,
record number one is damn This shit is dope right here.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Okay, so this is blueprint.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
This is blueprint, So blueprint actually blueprint is badass fool
because he was a rapper on soule positioned. So you know,
I'm pretty excited about this right here. Hell yeah, dog,
that's can crack in right there.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
I'm uxcited. I'm excited. Bro.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
I love records, bro, Like I had to tell myself today,
I wanted to go to the Beat Swap mean because
they were having the l a record fair over there
at the at the Arts District.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Brewing and I told Ad then I was like, yo,
we gotta go to this.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
But I didn't because I was expecting Gemini to hit
me up and be like, yo, son, it's.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Twelve thirty now, like let's go get lunch and we're
gonna record. But he didn't.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
So my son went to the skate park. All right,
So we got Blue Plants Records. So that's record number one.
Let's see record number two out to gate right here. Oh,
we got Evidences record right here, Kats and Dogs, so
this is a different album than the CD.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
So we got the Evidence album. Okay. So they also
had a dents and ding sale.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
So I was thinking that this mystery pack was going
to be full of dent and dings and these are
these are like, these are brand news, these are brand new,
these are fresh fresh.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
And then the dents and dings. They were selling the
album's full album for I think ten bucks, and then
the CD they were selling dents and dings for five bucks.
That's why I was like, oh, they're gonna be Dnson
dings did these are fresh? These are fresh? All right,
Evidences album right there. I can't wait to bang all
these right here. So we got three more records coming.
So the next one, number three right here? Oh we
got the Victor vonn Doom album right here.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Oh ye oh, hey swear, I'm excited, dog see ryansayers
dot com.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
You guys have not.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Like, look this is this is like like that's not
not a sponsored thing, and everything we buy is.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
None of its sponsored. But I mean, you guys want
to sponsors, you can send it, send it over here.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
But yeah, rhymesares dot Com got me really excited with
all this stuff. Don these hot records, bro, these are
hot records. So all right, record number four? What do
we got right here? Record number four? We got the
Many Faces of Oliver Heart, and I won the right
to think. I don't even know, I never even heard
(16:55):
of this album, but this shit, like, look at that cover, dog.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Look at that artwork. That's pretty dope.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
So I'm excited they're introducing me into something new. I
don't even know, never heard that. So yeah, artwork slamming.
And then finally, last but not least, this is the
last one right here in here, we got ASoP Rock
and Homeboy sand Man.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
The Lights album. This looks like this is like a
MAXI single. Damn. This is dope. Hell yeah. So all right,
I'm excited, bro. Hell yeah, he's gonna be right here. Bro, Christmas, Bro,
I was expecting a sticker, but no stickers. No stickers damn.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Also to the The Ant. The Ant album just came
out too. I think it's many sounds at volume two.
That ship just came out and that I was thinking
maybe that was gonna be in here, but it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
But dog slamming. This is slamming right here. Bro, package Bro.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Yeah for being a mystery box. This ship right here.
You heard it. Tables from two. We're down with rhyme sayers.
I'm saying, you gotta be. You gotta check out Ryan Gemini.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
No, no, no, you got all this year. We're gonna listen
to it for the show.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Dog, I'm telling you so yeah, I'm pretty pumped up.
I want one of the MF Dooms hoodies that they
sele right there. They got some dope ass MFU hoods.
But you know what, I'm not down with one hundred
dollars for a hoodie.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
That's kind of that's kind of it's kind of a lot.
It's kind of a lot. It's kind of old, kind
of kind of a lot, and it's kind of old
kind of a lot.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Speaking of a lot too, we should talk about toys
for cuts. Last night we were in the building over
there at Los Barbers and yeah, so Lost Home Pros,
Prolifics through this, through this nice cut session. We're all
over there too. You could have got a haircut too.
I was trying to take my son. I told him, dog,
you shaggy, shaggy though, you gotta get a haircut. But
but he didn't roll, so it was pretty dope to So, yeah,
(18:40):
just chill with the chill with the crew, you know,
and just see everyone, especially Prolifics everything that everything that
he does is always dope.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
You know.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Prolypics was showing us this this app. Matter of fact,
what was the name of the app? Do you remember?
Speaker 3 (18:53):
It was like, yeah, yeah, you guys were talking about it,
and I heard him he was he was playing because
what me and Relay we're talking about?
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Because Relay just went.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Out to the Twitch HQ and he did a set
over there, and then in the background I could hear
who is it.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
It was New Mark's little rendition.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
But you know how he does those records with the
like the like Kumbia versions of that up yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
And oh yeah yeah the algorithm yeah DJ DJ Pro.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Yeah, algorithm DJ Rhythm Pro so uh jewels actually DJ's
with that no ship.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
He was having some problems with his with his laptop,
so now yeah, he plugs in his phone. That's the
app that that case Swizz won DMC with.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah. I was I was peeping this out man, and
he was like, yeah, I play, I play for the
whole year, and right now you can save sixty four
percent of it. It's twenty nine ninety nine for the
whole year. I'm about to do that ship. Yeah. And
then they're the ones that came out with stems first.
It's crazy what he was doing with it. Bro like
he was making his own beat behind the Hochpella stripping ship.
I was like, yo, I didn't even know. He was like,
(19:53):
you ever heard his app? I was like, yo, it
looks familiar. I was like, damn, I looked at him
my phone. I been had this, Uh this app? I
never used it.
Speaker 3 (20:01):

that came out with the with the stems and then
and then they they did the Serrado integration, So I mean, yeah, he.
Speaker 2 (20:10):

las like, man, it was pretty dope. Man, it was
really pretty dope.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, DJ pro man that ship, that ship.
It's definitely a game changer, dude, you know what I mean, Like,
especially if you don't have a.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Lot of people don't.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Buy laptops, you know what I mean, and then everyone
buys a cell phone. So it's crazy that now you
could just have your music in your cell phone.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
And then go DJ set.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
I would rather you pull up and plug your phone
into DJ set, then you pull up with the USB
and ask you if I can plug it into my.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Laptop, you know what I mean. I know they do
it with Cee. DJ is very common. It's pretty cool.
You'd be sitting down somewhere drinking a big drink whatever
you're drinking, and you over there mixing and DJing, and
she was like, Yo, what's the DJE. I'm right here,
what the hell right right at the bar, and shit,
ye hold on by I mean drink real quick. I'm
gonna transition this real quick. I'm gonna put this blended
(21:05):
real quick. Liken hem na son, Yo. We know how
many years ago? How long it's been out this this this.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Just so I mean yeah, a few years probably, but
it just recently started like really taking off.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah, well that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
It started taking off when they when when they did
the stems, I think that's when it really started breaking off,
Like like everyone was like, yo, whoa, you could do
it like in your phone, because that was the thing.
They were like, yo, on your phone, you can break
down stems. And then everyone was on that like yeah,
but it's only in your phone yea.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Then it was like, oh, ship, you could plug that into.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
Your mixer now, like yeah, it was getting trashed bad
when it came out.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Like I remember when it first came out, it.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Was getting trashed no ship, Yeah, like everyone was talking
mad ship about it.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
And now everyone's like, well, because you got to start
champion using it and you got casewits fucking yeah yeah
using it superstamps. You can't talk about it when you because.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
I think when it first came out, it showed like
the two turntables and your label of the track you're
playing on it, and it was like, okay, of course
ultra sink and stuff, you know what I mean. But
but yeah, so that's why I was getting it was
it was you know, but every app starts somewhere yep.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Yeah, and so everything, you know, all the updates and everything. Yeah,
as long as consistent and keep on doing this thing
and updating to new and better things, it's gonna get possible, bro. Yeah.
And then you know, living me, I didn't even know
I had a shit. I had a ship full of
Mini on my phone and ship now you know, I'm
gonna pay that thirty bucks bro for a year. See
what I do. Try it out, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (22:32):
I know, speaking of apps too, I was talking to
Dan one and he was telling me because he's about
to release the his third Loopers, so the Dan one
three Loopers about to come out, and he was telling
me a lot of the beats that he's making, he
makes them on the im PC, so in his phone
he'd be chopping.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Them up to make his Loopers in his phone with
the I m PC. And then I had.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Downloaded the MPC a long time ago, but it was
pissing me off because I couldn't figure out how to
get the samples, like like my own samples, like if
I recorded something in my fucking like I got a
sample from a record. Like I was telling him, well,
how do I get it? Like because I could get
the sample into my phone, but how do I get
that into the I m PC? And then he showed
me like the way that it's like a little trick
(23:14):
because you got to put your samples all in one
folder and then once they're in that folder you can
create folders and all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
And all that's like machine's machine.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Well yeah, it's not not not supported anymore. No, yeah,
so if you did not on the new phones, if
you have you have like I think an iPhone ten
or eleven was the last phone that supported it, and
then you got to have it on that iOS because
once you upgrade your iOS, those.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Apps don't work no more. Yeah yeah, yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
Yeah the I machine that that's that's what Jules had
originally told me.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
He was like, dog, you take it with the I machine.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
And I went to go look it up, like all right,
and then I couldn't get it, and he was like fool,
I got it. But he actually upgraded his phone and
then he was like, oh, it doesn't open.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
That's wrap.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
So it's a wrap speak speaking of the That's that's
why you. You were telling me like, oh, Ship, you
need to get a new laptop. And I was telling
you will the fact that I rolled the sixty two like, oh,
I can't do I can't because I can't.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Get a new laptop. Shot just got a brand new laptop.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Yeah, I just plug it in right now. It doesn't
even want to load up. I was like, it doesn't
want to work with the mixer.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Oh, Ship, so would you?
Speaker 3 (24:17):
You got the MacBook twelve tens, Bro, I never seen
a MacBook black like that.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
It's twenty twenty three or is it twenty three maybe
twenty four this year?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
I just bought it in like when I was like
in March, March or April.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I didn't even know they came in black, Like that
is this is the first one that came in black?
Oh yeah, I see.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
That's why I was like, dog, that's like yo, what
I was like, Bro, bring it to bring it to
the shot pull, let me etch it. Pooh, we'll put
the we'll put the shot one edge on it.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Poo. Right, we're gonna go right, through the motherfucking screen. Oh.
I'm like, look on fresh and look see he opens it.
It's the man Curtsey of ADM like ahu, And I'm like, damn,
it's got Apple Care the retina screen alone, sucking two
thousand dollars the screen. You can touch the screen. Nah,
(25:12):
you got that bar on it? Nah, it doesn't have
the bar. They got rid of that. Yeah. Yeah, so
I guess my my laptop is about to be out
of dates. Why what's the bar? It's a touch you
can touch, you can touch bar. And what is the
touch bar that you could raise a volume load of
volume clicking on ship? You can open ship and you're
so conscious that you can do it. Why do you
need a bar? Don't you have a little bit? Really know?
(25:32):
It came with the com I'm just trying to tell
Apple know what. I'm just trying to exactly. That's what
I want to know, Like why they got rid of it? Yeah,
but it likes up though, it likes something and that
ship like it. I like this ship. You know it's pretty.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Because you gotta you got a fairly fairly new laptop
to you actually just started putting your music in your
right right.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
That's I know, I don't know why you took so long.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
I remember telling him, like, what would you usually well
when me in corporate does the show that I'm ready, Like, no,
you gotta just a show laptop, damn dancy.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Come on, son, come on son, DJ Gemini, the DJ
Champion with the lap speaking about Champion. I ain't never
gonna hear that ship too, like Champion. Yeah, yeah, you
DJ and the man Champion matter of fact, matter fact.
You know what I'm gonna call. I'm gonna call one
of the judges and let him speak on it. Okay, Yeah,
(26:22):
that's right.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
We should come because I know we actually got like
we gotta, we gotta hear the full breakdown of how
this competition works, bro, because bro hotness, well, I'm really.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Excited for you Gemen. Come on, man, you know that's
how you know you got real team, a real team
behind you when they excited for you. Bro, Bro, you
fucking want a competition.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
And you had to do every single round live like
it wasn't like you you send it in like a
video for all this ship like you did everything live.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
That's dope, man, I appreciate that. Bro. Yo, Man, you
make me feel warming I'm saying, so, where where's this guy?
Oh ship, well Canada? Ye, man, he's doing his thing, son,
So before it gets it even too late, let's hit
him on the hip and see what's good.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Yeah, because you already got here late so we can't
hear him time zones on time zone, let's play some bills.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Stop playing.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
So Gemini, now we're gonna get into something that's pretty dope.
And I know, I know they look. Look, I'm gonna
go and tell everyone right now. Gemini does not like
to talk about himself. This woe does not like to
talk about himself. He always tells me, yo, son, I'm
moving silence. But this motherfucker is like like rolling with
every single like Ninja perk.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
He can because you never fucking hear him at all.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
But like, okay, shock, we got we gotta we gotta
congratulate Gemini on this one.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Dog.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
So so if anyone knows anything about Gemini, I always talk.
I always talk a lot of smack and then talking
about like he's the TikTok maker when he's really the
fresh Maker, and the fresh Maker has successful conquered a
DJ competition on TikTok. Yesj's in the Mixed Season two
champion DJ Gemini on the show right now.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
N This is pretty cool, man, It was pretty cool.
It was a good experience. You know what I'm saying,
and what I think I should do is, actually I
have I'm about to call one of the judges that
was on here, all right, for sure? Do you think
so you can explain what was going on and all
that shit? So yeah, hit him up. Let's let's see
what's up and let me give him a call, see
(28:31):
what's going on.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
So, if you've been paying attention to the last few shows,
I believe it was like a six or seven week contest.
It was maybe kind of longer than that. It was
like two months or something, bro because it seemed like
it was going on forever. But they were doing challenges
all kinds of stuff. And yeah, Gemini was was doing
his thing. And now we're gonna bring in one of
the judges right now on the telephone.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yes, sir, test test, So Jesse.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Yo? We got DJ Jesse on tables too. You know
what it is? Man? You you live right now? Brother?
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (29:05):
I'm doing all right? It's like a quarter after eleven
by mepmh.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Well, you gotta tell everybody where you at.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
I look in Canada and co back Canada.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Oh man, we got eighty and one DJ eighty and
one on on the on the other mic, and we
also got shock one engineer. You know, so yo they did.
They just congratulated me bro because of the Battle of
the Challenges. Oh yeah, mm hmmm, yeah, that's so dope.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
So so you're you're one of the judges and jem
and I was telling me that on TikTok too before
you guys start the competition, so you you go live
on on the channel before to bring people in.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Huh yeah. So the whole idea, like it's one of
those things you know you're putting through your TA specifically
channels on the TV or whatever, and you know, you
know your show is going to start at eight o'clock. Well,
what we're trying to do is we're trying to like
get make sure everybody is I'm kind of ready to
go on eight o'clock, So I generally go on, say
fifteen twenty minutes early, and I'll just start mixing and
(30:07):
vibing out with people and encouraging people to know. Top
the screens share that was get people in off the FYP,
make sure your homies are here, and let's get a
pomping for you know when we get thirty at eight o'clock.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah, yeah, that's pretty doop. What's up? Hell yeah? You know,
and there's a lot of people that come in and
tune in and actually see what's going on, and you know,
and on top of it, man like like they also
have like intermission and they have another DJ that actually
makes drinks and uh she she she's pretty good at
it is uh what's the name again? Via Viva Viva right,
(30:40):
DJ Vita, Vita Vida DJ vita. Oh, she's gonna kill
me for that one.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Hey, Hey, So so I was just we was just
talking and all that stuff, and and I know shot one.
He was like, yo, so how the points system worked out?
And I tried to explain to him in the beginning
how it was and then at the end of it
everything made sense at the finals. But I'm I'm gonna
hand over the MC to you and you you're gonna
actually explain how it really was from beginning to end,
(31:11):
so that that that way, you know, because there is
gonna be a season three, right.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
As sumbness to to do list. For sure, we're planning
on it. Uh, and it's not gonna until after the
New year anyways, so we'll see what happens with that,
but definitely it's being planned anyway.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Yeah. So the points system, So by the way, we
are sponsoring season three. Season three is gonna be tables
from two and DJ's in the mix for season three
and uh, we're gonna explain everything on that as well.
But uh, right now, explain how like, because I know
in the beginning when we was talking it was about
(31:49):
the points system. I was kind of confused with it
at first, but then it all made sense at the end.
So I'm gonna pass it over to you so you
can explain it, like how it works out.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
All right. So we had a panel of four judges
and DJ Hoodie J. He is the host of the show,
the guy who runs it. He basically he had his
own map in the background. So all the judges have
to do is we're gonna rank. We start off with
it was the sixteen DJs, I believe, so we just
got to put each judge individually our top six, like
(32:22):
the order of the DJs that we like that we
used with the best. You know. So for example, you
know Gemini, he ended up in the number one spot
quite a bit, you know, Gemini number one DJST and
so number two DJSON, you know what I mean. And
they're gonna get what did you know state for the
sake of argument, make it simple, you know, JEMINAI we
get sixteen points, the second place person we get fifteen points,
and so on and so forth. And then uh, you know,
(32:46):
like in reality TV, we have those things that the
fans can call in you at the sand vote so
that the fans can participate and they can have their
their voices heard as well. So every week we put
up a thing a post on TikTok and you can
go and you know, the fans to go and vote
for who they vibe with and they want to support
for sure their points. It was designed in a way
(33:07):
that the points would not overthrow the judges, it dad,
but you know, if you had enough people come through,
they could defintely help you get turned up a few
extra points as well. So this went on every week
with every challenge. Now what this this this point, how
this came to a head. Is this this point system
didn't necessarily dictate, Uh the death player, you know what
(33:31):
I mean, because the points can vary every week. Gemini
could be number one one week and he could be
number five the next week, and you know and then
he and it's it's all it's all like it's all
emulative with the points. And how it all worked out
was for the final challenge, the final show, this kind
of worked out, uh the order of how every DJA
(33:52):
was going to play. So Gemini was in the top
two with another one with another guy, j Tech one,
and these two got to sit out the original the
first couple rounds of the competition. Uh, so we had
you know, there were sixty it was six people that
were left, so we had, uh you know DJ's five
(34:12):
and six go against each other, DJ's four and three
zero against each other, and then kind of like kind
of like it in sports, you know, everything kind of
just goes to trickles down. You know, the winner of
this one goes against this person. Winner this one goes
against the next person, and so on and so forth.
So that's that's that's how that all worked out.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
That It's pretty dope. So pretty much I battle whoever
won those two you know, those two challenges I mean
those they went balls out, bro, everybody went balls out
on it. So since me and tak one was the
finalist and we was the top two, we set out
basically what he's saying, we shot out for the first
the first two battles. Whoever won those first two battles
(34:54):
is going to battle me and Tech. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Yeah, So it was pretty much DJ's in the mixed
battle bracket, and then then it went correct funneled down
to the champion, which was you and that's dope.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
It came out on top. Well yeah, it was, it was,
It was. It was something because I thought I was
on Battle one DJ, but with the with the points system,
how it was, it didn't come out to like that
because the the one DJ that didn't make it in
the top two actually became top two. Mm hmm. You
see what I'm saying, because he he he actually he
(35:27):
won against Tech, you know, shout out so saying, you know,
so saying, actually battle him and he won. And then
the final thing was I went against uh so so
what just ain't okay?
Speaker 3 (35:37):
So you and Tech both sat out, but then someone
that was battling through the brackets beat Tech correct.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
To go versus dame. All right, that's dope and mate
it interesting right, So and me I had to go
against I went against Uli, right, dj Uli? Right? Yeah,
it was me and Ulie. It was a close one
because Uli is nice too as well. That was a
host one and I moved on to the main event
(36:05):
type ship, the finals. So then me and Soul went
against each other and then they did their thing, you
know what I'm saying. After me and him did what
we did and they came back and next year, you know,
they put my my face on the main streen and said,
you know Gemino the DJ you know what I'm saying,
it is season two champion. And I was like, oh ship,
(36:25):
you know what I'm saying. I was like, oh shit,
I fucking wanted this ship. But it's like the bat,
the bat, the brackets, like the points system. It made sense,
you know what I'm saying. So it's like, now I
understand like how they was going about with the stuff.
But all the challenges they was doing, which one was your?
Was one of one of your challenges that you liked
best that was on there, I'll put you on the spot.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
I want to say the one that got the best
response was the the tone the challenge.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Okay, okay, I think.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
I feel like I feel like, out of all the challenges,
that's the one where I want to say, the majority
of the dj is really really really put it. I
really put it in an effort to do something because
this is something that's the skill that not everybody save
you with. It's something that's definitely not new in the
DJ world, but it's not something that everybody does that
(37:19):
everybody does well. So to bring it to a when
you got to put it head to head with you know,
sixteen other guys, well you know, then then then you
really got to like push and put your a game.
And it's not it's not like, oh, you know, I
can do this, I can do that. We're just gonna
we're just gonna truck on through. I felt like that
one really really challenged the majority of the DJs in
(37:39):
the competition. Hy Tel think I enjoyed that one the pest.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Yeah, Yeah, that one right there, because like like I
told to you before, like I never tone playing before
until that challenge, and now I'm actually like trying to
pull different tracks and and playing with them for the
tone play. So it worked out, man, It's like it
worked out.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Once you start messing with that kind of stuff, and
then it's one of those things you kind of It's
like when you start to mix, uh, then you know
you're gonna hear songs on the radio, and all of
a sudden, you see you start like putting A and
B together in your head. It's like, hey, you know what,
we go good with this song, this track right here,
I'm gonna put that down. I'm gonna make that note.
I'm gonna make a routine with that. Now, when you
start getting you're getting into things like tone player, you're
gonna wordplay. Uh, you know you're gonna you're gonna you're
(38:23):
gonna have that same kind of thought process. I feel
you're gonna you're gonna start hearing things. It's like you're
gonna hear You're gonna hear a you know, one of
the New Soup Dog tracks off the Missionary album, and
you're like, you know what I can do with this?
You know, I'm gonna seguey right into that rings this
sample here, we're gonna tone it out. It's gonna you know,
it's one of those things that it starts the homely
thought process. The whole New homely Ctivity.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Yeah, yeah, I know. And also like the reason why
I called you too is to to find out who
because you guys had a track made as well. So
before the even Battle even started, the competition started this track.
Play you know what, I'm gonna play it first. How
about I play it first? And then you could tell
you could plug the details on who was that if
I could get my phone to work, because it'll be
doing whatever you want to do. You know, you could
(39:08):
tell me. You could tell me who it was and
all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (39:10):
And one was telling you that's just like, man, know
that ship he put it on and it was on
distortion mode.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
I had to lower it and on that ship. So
ya'm I'm gonna play it real quick and then you're
gonna plug in who did that track? And and it's
pretty cool man, it's a pretty cool track for this battle.
And this is what they played before it the competition
actually started.
Speaker 5 (39:32):
Check it out the crowning down the night.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Shot like a star, So yeah, you can plug that in.
They did that all from scratch, right.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Yeah, that's a it's a girl, a DJ from Alberta
up here in Canada, DJ spin Cycle. Okay, she know
DJing she dad was in production to the first season.
We had uh one of those drop one of those
drop websites and my my power drops dot com. They
(40:40):
did they worked up some stuff for us, uh and
who came around sin Cycle put that together for us
as a as a surprise. I was I got that.
I think you how do you j send me that?
Like the night of the first episode who that we did?
I was like, Oh, this is.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Okay, Yeah, that's pretty cool man. They have the whole
layout set. Yeah, you know, I remember when they when
they announced it, I told Hoodie, I said, Yo, comp
me in. I want to get in this. And then
they had like tryouts. They had a whole bunch of
DJs come up and try out and all that stuff.
And I went in there and you know, right.
Speaker 1 (41:15):
As I was gonna say, you know, I almost I
almost want to go back. Now that you're mentioning the tryouts,
I want to go back. You know, you talk about
my favorite part of the competition. I think the tryouts
was the most fun overall. Oh yeah, just because just
and the reason for that is because everybody was shining
in their own light. Everybody put everybody brought their eight
games to that one, and it wasn't about the new skills.
(41:36):
It's like everybody was doing them. You know, when you
when you when you have the competition, you got the challenge,
you got stuff that people aren't used to. You definitely
have to put into some work and you got to
be more creative and you got to do this than that.
But when people really shine is when they're doing them
and they're doing what they love to do. So you know,
like you you really you really got to see with
you what a lot of people are all about. You
(41:57):
got to see a lot more of their skills and
what they bring to the table just because they're doing
what they do, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Yeah, yeah, well they definitely did. Man. I know, I
came home from work and I jumped on and I
just went straight onto the camera and I was like
I'm ready, let's go, you know. And it was fun.
It was fun. The process was a learning experience. It
was fun. Well I can't wait to get my belt. Man.
I ain't gonna lie to you, bro. Yeah yeah he was.
(42:24):
Last last night. We actually had a toy drive. We
did a toy driver.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
I told him about the toy drive and it was
funny because he was like, yo, son, the belts coming.
I got the tracking number, and then one of the
homies was like, hey, yo, dog, where's the belt? And
I was like, god, well, he can't just rock a
tracking number. That doesn't that doesn't.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Look as cool. He's gotta wait till it actually comes.
Let's cut it off. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
So yeah, because like a leather guy, he can engrave
the tracking number into your belt that you're wearing right now.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Yeah, there you go, get it, get it. You know,
because season one it was legendary ross or something like
that that he won. Season one, he showed me his
out and uh yeah, his belt was pretty dope. I
was like, oh ship. He was like yeah, man, yo,
what you get yours? And I was like all right,
but you know, it wasn't for eighty and one man,
like like real ship. Eighty and one was like go ahead, Jim,
(43:11):
just do this shit. Just do it, man, And I
was like, all right, man, fuck it, Let's just let's
see where it goes. You know, you're all lot of
fun and ship man. But yeah, season two, I mean
season three, season three, we being a part of season three,
we're gonna donate a lot of stuff that we have
over here. We gotta be putting backs together for you
guys and all that stuff. I just ordered some shirts,
like I told you before. I got some hoodies that
(43:33):
I'm gonna send to you guys. Also we got some
some swag as well, some more stuff to get to
you guys. And then we talked about some other stuff.
We talked off air so that we could definitely get
something going. And I was just telling him eighty and
one that whoever wins the battle on this season, you know,
they whatever best challenge that they like, they could it's
(43:54):
like three minutes or so, we could play it on air.
Oh yeah, yeah for sure.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
And then whoever wins too, I mean, we can get
we can get an interview with them in the FaceTime
and whatever. You can hop on a call just like
we're doing right now, and then you know, find out
a little bit of something, you know, I mean, season three,
d J's in the mix TikTok Oh watch, Hey, what
can you let us know what what's the what's the
official TikTok page that that they should be following that way,
anyone that's on TikTok that is listening and wants to
(44:17):
just see what's going down with you guys?
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Is there a TikTok channel that they should be following
right now? Oh? Did we lose you?
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (44:31):
I think I think we lost him. G Oh, you
know what, I think it's my phone, bro, I got
you one bar bro your phones on. I don't know
you got that one bar life. I don't know. Yo,
Jes you hear me, he said, Yo, not nothing to
plug hold on. Let me let me let me hear
him up again alone. We're gonna We're gonna do it.
We wonna do it right.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
Well, hopefully when we're talking to the winner, we'll do that.
As a zoom called out, we never get no dropouts.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Onom Hey, hey, yo, I'm telling you there's fifteen man,
there's fifteen beyond one. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
You should be on my WiFi right now, but you'd
rather use your your your z mobile.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
Uh man, yo Jesse, Yeah, Yeah, I lost you, man,
we lost you. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
I know everything went silent, but it's the same. It's
the same thing happened when you guys played bin Cycles track.
I didn't hear anything. I just figured it was there
something that was playing or I wasn't sure what the
what the thing or what was the damn what's what's
going on?
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Ye? No, it's good. Yeah, the thing is I called
you from my phone. We should I should have connected
to the Wi Fi and all that stuff. But yeah,
we're good. But what eighty and one was saying, man,
plug plug the channel, everything that you got plugged, like,
shout it out. Where can people go and see for
season three and how it goes on TikTok or whatever
platform that we're going to be going on.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
All right, So it's the DJ's in the mixed competition.
It's run by DJ hoodie J. You find them on TikTok.
DJ Hoodie J, host of DJs in the mix I
think is it's still what he what his screen name is.
And so as of right now, we're gonna be rolling
again on TikTok with what everything that's going on in
(46:12):
the world today, TikTok the future is uncertain, so we're
gonna have to roll with the punches and see what
happens from there. But as this right now, twenty twenty five,
we should be doing another season. The exact dat is
to be determined, but yeah, we're definitely planning on rocking
this set one more time at least.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Yeah, that's dope. Man. Wells Yo, Jesse, thank you very much. Man.
If you have any shoutouts, man, yo, you do it
right now. Man, you got the platform.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
Shout out to Gemini, Shout out to the table for two,
shout out to everybody. Man. One thing I will say is,
especially in social media now, it's so easy to connect
with people, so easy to find other DJs. So we
need to exchange ideas. And there's so many cool people
out there. You guys doing what you do, there's other
people that do similar things as well. And you know
what I mean, We're some of the coolest people on
(46:59):
the planet.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
That's what's up. Man. Hey, Jesse. I appreciate the time, man,
I really do. Man. I know you got to go
to sleep. You got work in the morning and stuff. Man,
so you know I'm on that note. Man, be blessed.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
All right, all right, man, take care of guys. Thanks
for having me, no doubt.
Speaker 2 (47:15):
Quebec in the building, all right, brother, I hit you
up later. Man, all right, guys, all right, peace. Yeah, man,
you heard it dead from from one of the judges himself. Man,
there it is Jesse up in here.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
DJ's in the Mix Champion Season two, DJ Gemini Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
Man, yeah, man, it was fun, Bro, it was fun.
It opened the doors to a lot more the things. Man,
you know what I'm saying. So you know, hopefully, you know,
other stuff will pop up. What's a shock?
Speaker 4 (47:50):
I was gonna ask you, which challenge did you find
like the hardest for you? The tone play by far
Bro by far the tone player?
Speaker 2 (47:56):
So what was your tone player? Don't I don't remember,
to be honest with you, roll the clip clip? No clip? Hey,
I remember you.
Speaker 4 (48:06):
Hit us on the chat like, hey, this challenge is
coming up. I remember I might have been the m
one or oh yeah, I don't know the country. Yeah,
I just go with the punches, dog, you know what
I'm saying. I just go with the punches. And I
know that, you know, you know, as if they have
their clips so bad.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Gem and I would play the clip but his phones
only got one bar, so hey, hey with the tone play?
Like I I messed up in the beginning of it,
and then I caught myself and it worked out. It
worked out, you know. I don't know if I want
that one though. I don't know if I want that
that challenge particularly, but I know from all the challenges.
(48:44):
I want three challenges and I want every fail. So
that put me in That put me in first place
for the finals. Yeah, so I said, I pretty pretty
much sat out and watched two battles. Your four battles.
You have two battles. And then that's when I went
into it. You know that two challenges, but we went
(49:04):
it because usually the whole thing is just what they
give you to do. They also gave us a songless.
Oh really just each judge had three songs to pick
I believe three, three or two songs to pick, and
they gave us this songless and we had to come
up with like a story like creative thing with it.
(49:25):
And when I tell you, the BPMS was all over
the place. Shot the BPMS is all over the place.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
So on top of the challenge, you had to incorporate
three songs or each judge had three different songs each song.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
I believe it was three songs, but I think it
was two. I think it was two songs each judge.
But what I had to do is I had to
I had to come up with a set with those
songs in a I want to say, three and a
half minute period. So they was like, what maybe eight
eight songs maybe a little bit more, Yeah, eight songs maybe,
you know. So I just had to make sure that
(49:58):
that everything fit. There was a beginning and and you know,
you just use your creativity. How you gonna how you're
gonna make it work, right. I think that was one
of my favorites, though. I ain't gonna hold you because
I actually impressed myself with that one. That's what it's
all about. What's crazy is that it really it really
challenges you. You like, because some battles some challenges and
(50:19):
on that they give you enough time. This one, we
get it late at night on a Sunday.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
Yeah, you were telling me it was like fucking like
nine o'clock the challenge.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
Yeah, we get the challenges. You know. On Discord we
all be in the thing and they let all the
DJs knowing what the challenge is gonna be, and they
from that point on, you do what you do. You know,
if you one of those DJs that says, I I
worry about that ship tomorrow and whatever, you know, But me,
once I got it, I started working on it right
off the rid. So you relate to work nah, nah,
(50:51):
nah nah, I'm you're already saying that because I got
here late a little bit today. Well, I'm just saying yeah.
I mean, you know, I did hit you up like
at like one third. Come on, son, come on, son.
I don't know what you were doing though, but you weren't.
You weren't getting here. Come on, son, come on, son,
I'm saying dog. Hey, we replied real quick shot.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
Gemini didn't reply, but he liked the image of the
hoodies that I made.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
Hey, those those sits were dope. Son. You were like,
oh yeah, I like that, but I ain't gonna reply though,
you stupid. I text you.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
No, yeah, you text it like way later you text
And then I was like, all right, cool. He texted
five thirty alright, dope, and then I was like I
could probably go to sleep.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
Yeah, And I took a nap and then I woke.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Up, and then he was like, Yo, I'm on my way,
And I was like, oh shit, is Gemini actually coming?
Speaker 2 (51:42):
You know I'm coming though? No? No, no Diddy, no Diddy,
no Diddy, no Diddy, Son, no Diddy. Did you know
what they said? You know how?
Speaker 3 (51:49):
You know how that that phrase goes like whoever smelt
it dealt it first person to say.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
No, Diddy is all Diddy show. You know what I'm saying, Like,
that's just the way it is. Don't talk to me
that way and look at my lips at the same
time talking like that, that's fo. Why did you look
at my rights that right there? And I looked at
me like I was that mic right shot? Come on shot?
(52:14):
So see, come on shot? Now I can't do both
of you. Hey, hey, what we get it into man
when we get into man.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
Okay, so, uh, we do got to talk about the
I d A Finals too. Since we are talking about battles,
we gotta we got.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
To get into the I d A Finals because they
just happened about a week or two ago, about a
week ago.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
And yeah, we got to get into that because some
fire stuff happened over there.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Too, So that's what's up.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
Man.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
Definitely got to get in there. Let's take a break, listen,
and then after that we'll get into I d A.
You already know tables for two, tables for two.
Speaker 4 (52:45):
Bang bang, Yeah, no, there's still more tables for two.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Don't go anywhere, stick around, stick around, stick around for
a tables for two. I'm not even half way any
more fun to the as
