Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do you know what this stands for?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Do you know what disc jockey?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Oh no, I meant Adidas? Adidas? What don't mean you
can do DJE? Like, yo, how long did it take
your son?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
We used to, We used to do it all the
time because you know, like every every day I dream
about sex, you know, so when that came out.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Wait wait wait wait wait, wait to go back every
day you dream about sex?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Man?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I love that show. Yeah it's an out castle. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
I hear that. It was really Adam's dope at spinning.
But yeah, totally not funny. But we do have a
table for two available tables. Tables for tables for two,
tables for two. J Gemini, you heard you order from

(00:50):
eight a m.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
One tables for two table tables, table tables for two tables,
table tables.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
All right, then we back. We are back Gemini. So
we're gonna get into some stuff that's going on. Bro.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I'm excited for for you when winning the competition, you
know what I mean, shout out, shout out to your homie.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
What is it Jesse?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Right, Jesse from Canada tapping in Quebec's in the building.
And now Gemini, we'll take it to another competition. This
happened in Poland. The I d A World Championships brought
to you by Alpha Beta just went down a little
bit ago, and yeah, we got we gotta, we gotta
get into the champions because it's so usually we're always
talking about DMC.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
And there's a lot more competition going on for a
lot of DJs out there other than just DMC, you
know what I mean, because it is not it doesn't
mean like because I think DMC is kind of like
like it looked at like the Holy Grail, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
What I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
But there's so many other competitions for DJs to get into.
And that's why, like you know, we got we gotta
highlight everyone that that's that's putting in work for.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
The scene by DJs, for DJs. Man, you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
So let's get into the into the into the show
category because the show category is pretty much their their
their main competition. And from what what what I know
I was hearing Doud say, it's you could either be solo,
you could be a team, or you can actually have
like an MC with you too.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
So that's the creativity. Yeah, the creativity could go further
than just the decks.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
So of course we got to congratulate. Let's go first, second, third.
So in third place we had DJ Break. He was
by himself, so you know, the salute to DJ Break.
Then in second place we had Static and uh, Tommy Peanuts.
They got second place, and then honestly, let's let's talk
about them just for a little bit, because I mean

(02:49):
I posted them on tables for two.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
So if you're not following us, or you are following.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Us at tables Underscore for Underscore tw on Instagram. Uh,
during the battle because Jemiu saw, it's a little it's
a little tough to watch the battle because the videos.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
It was just yeah, they was what were they using?
What we what we brought in the beginning? What was
that ship? I think it's like OBS.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
But I'm saying, but that little that that ship that
we brought in the beginning before we started like doing
the en Roll podcast, when we were doing what was
that ship? Yeah them, but it's a delay with with
the with the with the audio and yeah the audio
with the video and the same same thing too with OBS.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
There is a delay it's just you have to physically
go in there and adjust it. You have to adjust it,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
And and I understand too. They did have a big production.
They had a big production.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
So if if you watch the battle to it from
their their like field mic, like their field camera that
shows the whole stage that one's on, but then like
the three that they're usually moving around those man, it's
just like it.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Just makes it a tough watch.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I was telling you, I was telling Lotus and Jay
Rain that it reminded me of watching the old d
MC battle when when the audios are off, you know
what I'm saying, because a lot of them are like that.
If you watch like the Babous battles and stuff, like
some of them, the audio is bad.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Bro, It's like, oh, it's almost like they're in the
crown and ship. It made it.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
It made it harder if you were a DJ trying
to figure out how they were doing what they were doing,
because it's not showing you what they're doing at the time.
It's like, how do I watch this because I want
to I want to watch the learn you know what
I mean. Like that's how it was, and it's a
little bit like that. But I was actually talking with
Tommy and Tommy Peanuts, and he was telling me that

(04:33):
I spelled his name wrong because I put to T's
but then they actually spelled his name wrong like that
on the thing, and I just scream shot it. I
thought I was being cool, like almost screenshot it and
crop it and put that right there so it could
be on the screen. And then nah, he was like nah.
So I was talking to him before they announced if
they if they wont or not. They ended up getting
second place, and I don't know I talked to him.

(04:54):
I don't know, man, it'd be dope. Try to reach
out to him and he can make I was talking
through Instagram, so I don't know. I could reach out
to him and see if you know, he can give
us a little insight in it. So I don't know,
I'm gonna reach out. I'm gonna reach out to him,
but shout out to them. They got they got second place.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
So.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
You know, it's it's always dope to to see a
team battle, you know what I mean. And and all
the posts that I highlighted over there they did.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
They did like a DJ remixed rendition of my life,
My Life, My life in the.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Sunshine, keep your head down and work like god do.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
God. That ship was dope. That ship was dope.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
And then he even told me to when I was
talking because I said good luck and then he said, yeah,
we're waiting right now to see who wins. And then
he was like, but we got to look out for
these guys right here, Needlework Scratch Crew. Yeah, they definitely,
they definitely came through four man team. Yeah, they came
through Gemini. What what was what was the highlight that

(06:20):
you saw out of their bottle that you like?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well? What I like? What I like?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
How?

Speaker 4 (06:24):
You know they was touching each other's turntable no hormone,
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah, it was like
going back and forth, you know. You know in the
beginning with podcast, we also you know who was it
the Misfits yea, yeah, yeah, they did the same thing
too as well.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
But every time DJs do that, you know, and they're battling,
it's it's pretty dope, son, especially.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Being on the coordination and being on point, especially when
they're cutting. It's like, yo, I'm touching your record while
well I'm moving the fader over here. You're moving my record, Well,
you're moving the faith like that.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
That that one right there. When I seen that, I
was like, yeah, that's dope.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
Yeah, you gotta be really on point with that because
you're not feeling what he's doing. You know, he's a
little draggy or ahead of your clicks and it's gonna
sound off, but like, yeah, it's like and mind.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
You, your other homies are like providing the beat, so
then they gotta be on point.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Everybody got everybody's gotta be in sync. Man, if one
of them is off sync, is yeah, you're gonna tell
off the rip.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah and yeah shout out.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Shout out to the Needlework Scratch Crew because they were
definitely doing their thing over there.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Then let's see as far as their scratch scratch category
go goes.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I showed you second place earlier too, because Talo actually
does like that was a beast. That's the that's the
first DJ that that we were watching that that video
and Tallo's Talo's a beast. He actually was winning going

(08:39):
into the the the live category like because they did
a whole like online thing too, and he was winning
in the points category and he was behind one person
and this has been the DJ. If you're not following,
then the DJ on Instagram too. We posted him on
on our page two before this fool.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
It's a beast brog.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
He was getting the way he was phrasing. I saw
hi when he started phrasing. He looked at the TV like,
oh yeah, yeah, yeah, bro. I like when they because
patterns do. Yeah, Like I like when I like when
they do. When it's like the words and they're phrasing
and then they'll phrase the words forward and then they'll
phrase them backwards, like if they go that forward and
that backwards, Like, Yo, that's it's hot right there.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I want to do that. I want to do that.
Dog Yeah, yeah, that's dope. And then he was ye
had like an up temple beat too. It wasn't a
slow beat. Yeah, he was on. He was real clean
by clean.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
And then you have pointed out to you were like, yo,
what are those those boomerangs or whatever? You know kind
of like boomerangs, but you.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Know what, I call them traveling chirps.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
I don't know what it's called because I know why
not Cut does it all the time too, where like
it's like a chirp but then they chirp forward and
then chirp backwards, and the chirps but it's like four chirps,
five trips forward, five for backwards, like bro.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Because it's not a boom like, because a boomerang is
like it's what is it? It's a forward tear and
then a push and then a backwards tear.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
So but it's not just forward for ford, forward, back
back back back back forward, forward, forward, back, back, back
back back. It's that forward forward, back back for forward,
forward forward and forward back back.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
But all that did you get that? You get that?
Nah too much? That's why I can't do it. Hey,
you should see why not cut? How he be doing? Ship?

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Bro?

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Like yeah, no, I know, but Yo, it's like I'll
mean looking, I'm just damn, it's just crazy. And every
time there's a session, you know that he's in that
ship because he's on those decks.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Like and Tony's cutting the whole the whole night, the
whole night, the whole night.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
He's he's just he's he's a beast. I know.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
I feel I feel a little guilty when I get
in between him because I think, who was that in
between your strap?

Speaker 1 (11:10):
I was in between Tony, Tony and Straps, which is like, oh.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Honestly doesn't matter who I'm in between when it comes
when it when it comes to comes to the roundabout,
because it's like, oh, ship, I'm gonna be.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Like O prolifics and then I gotta go after him,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
But like I was in between Tony because for a
while it was just me, Tony and Straps, and I
was like, all right, we're just going at it, you know,
And Jules is looking at his telling me, oh yeah,
look at Straps.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
How he's doing that. You you just think like that,
and I'm like, think like that. And then comes up
and then he's like, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Watch out Hundle because you you you you could probably
do that. And I'm like I can't do none of that, ship,
But I'm like all right, all right cool. But then
you know, after sitting there for an hour, you kind
of your brain does.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Kind of like morph, you know what I mean, start
getting the idea. Yeah, yeah, the idea. It start making
sense to you. I remember I remember when I remember
when well well cut cut was just basically like like
once once it starts making sense to you and it
clicks it's a rap. Bro, you get it and now
you want it, and you're gonna continue to be on

(12:12):
it and yo, do at least twenty twenty five minutes
a day, Jane, you good well?

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Dog, Come on, dog, if you can get abs in
seven minutes, bro, come on. You know what I'm saying, Like,
come on, God, we can get clicks in seven minutes.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Bro, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
It's just it's just time putting in the time repetitive.
And that's why, like you know, that's why we got
to salute all these DJs in this competition.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
It's not easy, bro, it's not you know, they make
it look easy, but it's really not easy. Yeah, don't
We don't see all the work that actually went behind them, like.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Sacrificing to learn these scratches to get these like patterns down.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Because and it's not just the clicks on the fader,
it's hand control, hand control. Yeah, it's a lot of
hand control.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Looking for Olympics when you'd be doing the no fader
and he's like hand on one thing and then he's
tapping the record and it's like it sounds like he's unfaded,
but he's not. Yeah, I see be doing it too,
and it's like dog, it's it's it's massive, bro.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
You know, sorry for him, Bro, It's that's literally the
creativity that has to come out in order to get
these these crazy patterns.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
And it's definite skill, bro, It's definitely skill. And you
know you put that grinding, you keep on putting that
grinding and practicing and practicing and practicing, You're only gonna play.
You're gonna play harder when you're out there those certain.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
That's why I'm excited to see you, bro, because you
want you won your first competition.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
I'm excited to see what you do next. Bro. You know,
I know you're you keep saying your mind got open
from this.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's it's crazy, man, because I was like, truthfully,
like it happens to everybody.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
You get to that age when you know Djane is
not the first priority anymore. You know what I'm saying.
There's different when we were in high school exactly we
did exactly.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
It's like to to maintain to keep your pockets right,
to keep your roof over your head, you know, just
adapting in general. It you know, to fit in something
that you love, like a hobby. You know because back
in the days, you know, come on, gee, we was
living off of this DJing thing.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Every every day we was grinding, we was making bread,
We was doing what we was doing and ship.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
You know.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
And at that time too, we weren't thinking of like
competing exactly. That wasn't even a thought.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
We were stuck in our ways, bro, you know. And
it's like it's like everybody's gotta grow one way or another.
And when Idian Wone was like, go ahead, son, fuck it,
just do it, and I was like, I was like,
I don't know, Gee, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I don't know if I shit. He was like, man, yo,
stop that ship. Just do it with the other show.
We was talking about it, you know. Man.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
I was like, all right, fuck it, I'm gonna go
in and see what's up man. And I didn't think,
like real shit, I didn't think that I was gonna
win it. I didn't it going and the like thinking
that I was, you know, And then all of a
sudden it just happened and I was like, oh shit.
And he was telling me too, like the final but
we was talking like the final round what was going on.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
It was real close.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
It was real close between me and so sang it
was real close, but yeah, yeah, came out on it.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
And speaking of coming out, yeah, Ben the DJ coming
out on top in the scratch category in the IDA
World Finals twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
So then the next.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Category is the party rocking category and in third place
we had death Wave.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Okay, okay, check this out.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
So death Wave definitely did his thing, and the party
of rocking category is definitely it's exactly what it sounds like. Yeah,
this is kind of like a club type set, but
with more of a turntablest mentality. Because a lot of
times too people who don't know how to party to
a DJ like this, you know what I mean. But
I think they're they're really opening up to it. They're

(16:16):
really opening up to it. Second place, is Kay did
his thing.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
So is K.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Got second place, but we got to give it up
to the champion, Rion Ryan. I knowd his drops. I
always say Ryan, but yeah, this is Rion and yeah
he came up on top. Is there anything that you saw?
You saw and it said that, well.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Yeah, he came out. He came out real strong. Yeah
that opening, that opening was crazy, you know what I'm saying.

(17:39):
He came out real strong, and you know.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
He's dope.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
I'm not gonna take it away, but I think I
think towards the end he just got really relaxed.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
And it's a long set. I think it's like six
seven minutes, so it is a lot, and he's really active.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
A lot of body tricks, a lot of like.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Up and down fader, a lot of like yeah switches
he's using, he's utilizing everything.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Yeah, there's there's definitely a lot going on. And that
one that one point when he was going back, I
was like, he got that loop oh. Ship he got
that on loop oh. Yeah, but they not like us, Yeah, ship.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Him up going sucking up. Yeah, he was gonna before
you got here too. I had pointed that out to
to shock. I was like, yo, had they not had
the camera right there and we didn't see the screen,
wheeld have not known because I was like, yo, is
he bringing it back?

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Because he was like, he's that sis going on extra long?

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, And it was dope too because when he was
doing it, he literally like someone could just be on
one side because bah blah bla blah blah blah blah blah,
but he was blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah, like switching it both sides and like not
missing it and then had the button ready to press,
like so it was like didn't miss a beat.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Like he nailed it. Yeah, he nailed it on that.
I like the little violin, the opening with the violin. No,
he did his thing. He did his thing.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
I can't take that away from him. Man, he really
did his thing. And but yeah, man, towards the end,
I felt like he just got a little bit more relaxed.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, yeah, was all right. And that's the thing.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
You don't like the back Street alright. I feel like
everybody uses that ship.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
I'm telling you, because that Kanye song, it's just like
it's back in the thing.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
And then.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
I think like it's something everyone knows that pop stuff. Like,
I mean, I'm into Brittany bro okay left, yeah, and
sir Brittany giggle here, bro, like, come on stop it,
you know. So it's like, and I'm talking about Brittany
in front of this guy. Right, leave Brittany alone. Yeah,

(19:56):
I'm telling you, you drinking bath water. Dog, I'll I'll
lick the scum between her toes. I'm with it. I'm
with it.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
They say they say white girls don't even wash their legs,
I'll watch them for it.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Yeah, yeah, salad and all that, all of it. Even
if there's crew toons there were good, you're gonna work
with it. Coffee filter, We're gonna work with it.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
But yeah, it's one of those things like it's I
think it's it's especially in a party rocking type set.
It's about plain stuff that people are gonna instantly know.
Like he was playing a lot of like like little remixes,
what that dumb did it?

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Dumb dumb did it? And I'm dumb he did that,
the little thing and everything. So you know, it's like
this ship was dope.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Son ship was dope, man, you know, shout out to
Ryan and I know, I know he's been doing this
thing too in d m C too, So you know.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
That's a dope thing.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Seen seeing all all the all the competitors that like
some of them transferred from DMC and then you see
him going around, so you.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Know, shout out to I d A. The only thing
that that that I think we we were talking about,
Like if you want to.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
See the whole live stream, it's on their I d
A Champions on YouTube and then a bunch of clips
too are also on their on their Instagram. It's just
it's just bad that they're production wise. They had that delay, yeah,
on their audio we were talking about during the live
stream too, if you if you look at the comments too,
we were all talking about in the very beginning the
audio was distorted too. So it's kind of like, oh,

(21:26):
come on, guys, But it's a lot. It's a lot
to deal with production wise, going just just as a streamer.
You know how it is on on TikTok and then
I know when I'm on on on Twitch. It sucks
when you already you're worried about so much and then
you have to incorporate that in and then it's it

(21:48):
just sucks when something like that is like damn, and
then you see it in the.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Chat like oh god, it distorted.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Oh this is off for that's like damn, I'm trying
to DJ and I gotta like fix this and do that,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
So it is a lot, So Ida hopefully you guys
can get that just fixed up, you know what I mean,
Just it you get there, get Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Yeah, definitely another thing that I wanted to wanted to
to talk about too. While we're on Veck is having
his Twitch competition going on right now too.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
I've been you know, what's crazy that you say that,
I've been like listening to the Flip of Flop. Yeah,
and I'm actually on the discord his discord. Yeah, that
ship is so active, bro, I had to I had
to mute that.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Sh bro. Hey, it's I've been downloading the tools. I
want to, like, I want to do something. He sends it.
He sends everything out there.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yeah, and then it's dope because with his it's literally
he sends it out on Sunday, kind of like how
yours was, and then you got to send your video
in the next day.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
You got twenty four hours. Damnus.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
You got twenty four hours to turn It was like
Sunday and then Tuesday you gotta you gotta do your thing,
so you know, twenty four hours damn son.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
Yeah, I'm going to pay right now. But if you
if you guys have not checked out flip or Flop
on on.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Twitch, it's pretty dopey. He plays the video, plays.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
The video, and then you either get a flip or
you get a flop and but he he What I
love about him too, bro, is that he actually goes
to the video and he talks.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
About what he liked and what he thought was off
and what he thought could done better.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
If you get a point, you get a flop, he points.
I don't want to say he's mean, No, he's not mean,
but he's very crucial.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Yeah, yeah, very crucial. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
It's only gonna make you better, like he because because
I watching other battles, especially on on Twitch, a lot
of judges are real nice, and they're real nice to
these people, and then I get it they're trying not
to like, no, motivate people. I saw a part that
I understand.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
So I saw a part on that flip and flop
man that the dude, I don't know if I mentioned
this before, I probably had, but he flop this dude
because his measures his bars was off. Yeah you know
what I'm saying. He was like because it didn't make sense.
It's like you do four bars and just flipping it
the next thing, you know, you only do three three
bars and then you come in with something just threw

(24:13):
it off and you got flopped. Yeah, if it was
on point, you know what I'm saying, and he went
into detail talking about and I was.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Like, yo, that you know, that makes perfect sense.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
The reverse of that. I watched one too that he
flopped the dude. And what he said was, and he
watched the whole video, so he flopped him afterwards. And
what he said was, you got the flop because you
were making a song, which he was like, I liked it,
it was good. But what you did in the beginning,

(24:44):
you did that same thing in the ending ya ya,
And now it's competitive. You didn't have that ramp. You
didn't have that that like, where's the climax of your routine?
And instead of doing something else, you played it safe
and you did the beginning.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
And it's like it's kind of almost like a waste
of time, you know.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
And then honestly too, because it's hard making a set,
especially you have twenty four hours, you have a minute
thirty and it's like, all right, what am I going
to do? And and what he said was, if you
were making a song and this was a song that
would have worked good you had two choruses in it,
that's fine, but this is not just that this is

(25:22):
a competition. I need that ramp up, that build up
hit him with it. It's like dog to hear that
like and then to hear that from a world champion.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Oh, it's credited, you know what I mean. It's like
like and that bes beast. Yeah, he's no joke. He's
a beast. So like to get that type of critique
from from him, it's dope. I remember. I remember the
time when when Adie and One call him Beckett. I
didn't call him that. I was going with you. I
was like, are you sure that's how you say? Yeah,

(25:52):
we will bring back the archives, son, we bring back
the archives. I want the archive of us talking when
we weren't. They didn't go on this. I better pull
out the hard drive archive. We're digging in the vault.
He hey, say, yo, you gotta get their names right, man.
I know.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
And then I remember too, he was telling me too.
He was like, Hey, isn't that one food your homie?

Speaker 1 (26:14):
And I was like yeah, and he was like, you
still still said his name wrong?

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Say everyone's fucking name is wrong, like the Indigenous Indigenous.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
If y'all haven't heard the show we just put out
of our and by the way, we have more in
the archive that we're gonna release but yeah, but yeah,
that was funny.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Yeah, we just dug in the vault and we pulled
out the Indigenous. Yeah yeah, man, honestly, dog, it was
a good listen.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
It was yeah, yeah too funny. It was funny two
hours and you can hear the chemistry between the US three. Yeah, yeah,
it was pretty dope. I did have to What did
I do? I normalized.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I normalized all the audio because there was some parts
that indigenous. He's just he's just a little low, you know,
And so I had to normalize it. And then after
I normalized it, I I compressed it. And then when
I did that, I was like, oh shit, everything sounds.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
A lot better. So, but it was my laptop was
just sitting there for audacity, was putting it in work
food with like yo, especially when you compressed, when you
compress it, yeah, yeah, yeah, pretty dope.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
So but yeah, man, like like we were saying, there's
there's competitions all over no matter what your skill level is,
there's something for you.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
I know, like with the Flip or Flop.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
There's a bunch of DMC champions that are in this thing,
but then there's also dudes that aren't. You know what
I mean, and just because you aren't a champion like
those fools get flips too, because it's a it's an
overall point system, So it doesn't matter how many flips
or flops you got, it's overall points systems. So that's
dope that, you know what I mean. Like a lot
of people are doing that, like point system when it

(27:43):
comes to these battles, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
So you get you just gotta put that time in.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
Yeah, time that time, and you get you get that
the outcome you want as much time as you put in. Yeah,
if you just put it in a little bit of time,
you ain't gonna get a good.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Outcome, you know, I know. And then and like you
were saying, it's a constant it's a constant.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Growth, you know what I mean, because no matter what
where you are, what competition you're in, what club, what bar,
whatever you're rocking the live stream, everything is always going
to have its place, and everything is always going to change,
and you got to grow and change with it exactly,
you know.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
What I mean.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
I know, like when you came out to Turnbulls when
I was DJing, what do you think about my set?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Okay? But like what what I was playing, though it
was different. I Doug, when when have you heard me play? Yeah,
it was it was different. I used to tell you
what I like, Hey, dog, you go play the Rega thon.
I'm gonna go get his drink.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Yeah something h I all the time, and now it's
I'm playing all I don't even know what the hell
one we here playing at the bar like.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Going, you're going in, going in, and you know I
was there. I was there observing the view, and I
was enjoying it.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Bro. You know, even though I understand what word they
were saying, talk, don't ask you what songs I was playing.
I know he was playing. I have like I have
like the open crate where it's like, okay, this is
all the songs.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
I download it, and then I have another crate for
each one of those crates that I was like, oh yeah,
everyone seems like they're liking this song and they'll pull
it in that.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Little crate like I don't know what it is. So
it really sucks when someone's like, oh, do you got
shock be playing that ship all the time. I know,
shocked you be doing a lot of the Latin stuff
to a lot of Latin.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
So but I know what I'm playing, so I know no, yeah, like,
well I do understand what they're saying it some some stuff.
It's like okay, yeah, yeah. So a lot of the
ship is it sounds good, like the b is good
and everything, but the lyrics are like, well, dude, that
ship does not go with what's going on.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
So it was like, it's funny.

Speaker 6 (29:35):
I was talking to my mom about it because I
kind of run run things past her because she's you know,
knows all that stuff to.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
All that music.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
So I'll be like, oh, I got this wedding coming
up and this and that, and I'm like, hey, this
song sounds good. She's like, do you know what they're
talking about. I was like I kind of get a
gist of like that song is talking about that guy
cheating on her.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
And this and that. That's not a good wedding song.
I was like.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
That, But like she told me, like, oh, we'll go
to weddings and they'll hear DJ's playing this that it's
just because it sounds good, you know, it's upbeating that,
but it's like the lyrics is not you know. So
I was like, oh shit, okay, Like now when I
hear this I was like, I know Spanish, but like
a lot of this stuff, they're they're talking fast, and

(30:16):
even though I know, I'm still like, wait, let me
get this.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
And then it's like kind of the slang and stuff.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
I'm like, all right, I know it, but as I
you know, growing up speaking English and hanging out with everybody,
I've kind of been forgetting.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
So you start hearing stuff. I was like, wait, what
does this actually mean? You're hearing like, oh, that's that.
That's that's bad. Yeah, that's not I'm not playing that.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
It's crazy because some people even know English and they
playing English songs don't even know what the hell they playing.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
Yeah, So like, for instance, motherfuckers in weddings, they like
to play the electric slide.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Do you know what the electric slide is about?

Speaker 7 (30:47):
Bro?

Speaker 1 (30:48):
You know you don't know what? Well, no, come on,
electric slide? Bro? Put it together? Be a female?

Speaker 4 (30:56):
Yeah yeah yeah, I was just talking about him dial though, Bro,
And we're playing in that wedding.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Sause everybody's got that line dance, so they wanted to Yeah,
line dance. Yeah, you better line dance to atomic dog.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Fucking at a wedding they just got married. You talking
about a female with a dildo son not even honest.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
About to go to the honey. Wait, hold on, let
me see what. Let me put it out real quick.
Let me see something.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Man, Hey, the lyrics are stupid to the damn song dog,
I swear dog.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Let me see uh electrics lit? Right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (31:33):
Yeah, But I mean that's what I'm saying. It's like
saying you don't know what you're playing. But a lot
of it's like at the club, I guess it don't matter,
you know, you just play whatever the fuck. But when
you're like doing these events like a wedding or even
like a corporate event or something, you're like, am I
playing what I'm supposed to be playing? Sometimes even in
the Spanish stuff, you're like, I'll let the dirty ride.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Yeah, well, you know what they say up in the club,
we all fan. I I never saw the video of
this ship.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Man, oh dog, it's it's totally eighties. Tell me they're
like on the beach homegirl with the hair. It's just like, oh,
happy leg.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
What's it called? What's the song called electric Slides? Oh?
Is it called electric? I don't even know. Let's see
what if this is.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
I think in my laptop. I fucking wrote electric slide
on it. Yeah, that's it, It's electric, that's I. She

(32:39):
was singing like that because she felt it.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
She felt it, she felt it, all right, dog turned
that ship off. Turn that ship off. I don't even
know dog speaking. Okay, So you were talking.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
About like Spanish songs that you that you shouldn't play, right,
So I just actually told Migul at work, like I
was telling him, like, dog, come on, fool, I need
I need some like some like swabimane type songs, like
songs like that like and he was like, oh, I
got one.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
For you, fool, and he fucking played it and it
was dope. Well this shit had like then no, no, no,
it's like like the horn section. I was like, oh, dog,
this is fire, and he was all looking at me.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
He was like, yeah you like it, Yeah, you like it?
And I was like, yeah, why what what's it about?
This song is called young know if you know, but
it's called uh the sec at the annials, this motherfucker
is talking about a seventeen year old full and now
he's her boyfriend, and she's talking about she's never done
this before and she's never felt love.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Motherfucker adio one over here fucking dances. She was tired.
I was like, yo, I need this song. His shirt
off started grabbing baby on you and ship you know
he was but in Mexico, seventeen is okay. I'm like, damn.
And I was like, but this is America, This America,
you gonna get seventeen so or like or like that.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
That that that Arlene song, the dancehall songs. Are you seventeen?
Now you're over sixteen? Are you seventeen? Are you over seventeen?
Lena was a dream to me that, Yeah, dude, it
has the bombomb beat, that doom doom dudom.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Lena was a dreams Now, what about fucking Rick James,
which one? If she's sixteen, I'll be waiting.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Oh my god, everyone's dancing, fucking waiters waiting for sixteens
on that's crazy, he said.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Oh man, cocaine's out of drugs. Yeah, shit, were about
to fucking stop playing these more already. Dinny's all Denny
songs is X name bro? This was gone dog.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Did you see that one clip? I saw a clip
where the guy was playing he was playing Big Papa
and everyone's dancing and everyone's dancing and then fucking, and
then puff Daddy come on, Oh yeah, if you want
to be friends, we could all be friends.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
And everyone's like, oh, the club because it was a
bunch of young kids. I'm young kids.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
Obviously they were over twenty one to old ass man, motherfucker,
but yeah, dog, and they all say oh and then
like the DJ put a caption on his video like
their reaction to this, and they put all I forgot
Puff Daddy was on this, and it was like, oh,
what the fuck, we can't play Big Papa anymore.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
But damn pick Papa had the trans best side in
the video. Hey, and nobody knew about it, Dog, nobody
knew about it. Crazy shit is Hey, but I.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
Remember that part of the video like Homegirl going into
in the in the restroom and peeing right there leaving
and then but I just I thought it was like
a joke, like this bitch is just peean standing.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
I didn't know. I didn't know either, I was I didn't.
I didn't know she had the flip or flopping.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
Hey, you're over there, Hey, but yeah that that that
that chick or that dude fucking you don't got killed, bro, Yeah, yeah,
I heard about that. Yeah, and they tell the person
that it was a dude and the person didn't like
that ship and bing, yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
This is this is a dangerous world.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
What they say now alive, un alive on thelive Oh wow,
bodily harm self, self, bodily harmed. Yeah, man, yeah, man,
you gotta watch out. But Gemini ay we at the
end of the show. We at the end of the show.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Man.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
If you guys made it to the end of the show,
wherever you're listening, hit us with the review, hit us
with the comment if you could make sure you're following
us on Instagram tables Underscore For Underscore two, I do
want to plug the twenty twenty five NAM Invitational will
be in the house and then also too, it's gonna
be going down the Vibe Ultra Lounge, Lost Home pros,

(36:31):
the sets and everything.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Nothing's out yet. Can't really talk about too much. I
do know some stuff, so I can tell you off air.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
The one thing that I could say though, is that
I will be in the mix. So I'm gonna be
doing an hour DJ set over there. I'm just gonna
start calling it. I'm gonna be showcasing, so I'm just
that yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Right.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
So so like I told Lotus, I was like, oh dog,
I hit him up and I was like, Yo, should
I be getting ready? And he was like what you're
gonna get ready for? And I was like, well from
I said, and he was like, oh no, you're good.
You don't need to get ready. And I was like, nah,
well I need to put something together, like I need
to like do some I just I just did. It
just needs to be dope, you know what I mean.
I got I got a good reaction last time. So

(37:12):
it's like I gotta do that plus more, you know
what I mean. And so yeah, if you guys wanna
want to pull up, you're going to NAM. Wherever you
guys are, wherever you're listening to, and you're at NAM,
you're looking for an after party, we're gonna be doing it.
The NAM imitation is always dope, LT. You always put
some dope shit together. There's gonna be some nasty cutters
in there. And then hopefully me and Jemini I will

(37:32):
see you walking around. And now we tested the mics yesterday.
They work, they sound all right.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
We just gotta get Yesterday son, it was Papa, you're
supposed to let me yo yo, no, no to everybody. Bro,
make sure that you sign a waiver with this motherfucker
because he's being around you without letting you know he's recording.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
The one thing I will say though, they have good
noise canceling, So if you're far away from the mic, if.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
You're too close to the stort, but you have there's
a sweet spotted.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
So we got we're gonna have to do another test
and I'm gonna into all the autos because I did.
I did a bunch of the recordings too, so but yeah,
so when we're at now, if we see anyone, we
could just get some sound bites or whatever and just
be like, yo, you mind if we like chop it up.
So yeah, big things for now. So, like like we're
talking about with DJing the podcast to everything is always growth.
We always got to constantly change and maneuver and find

(38:20):
that find our way in the scene.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
It's gonna happen. Man, It's gonna get bigger and better.
That's all I gotta say.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
But that's the end of the show. Sign Shock. Thanks
for hanging out with us. Dark always a good time. Yeah,
there's always you better be on the show off and
though DJ Gemini the Champion, thank you.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
I can't wait to get better, you know, I can't
wait to see it either. I want to talk about
you like you're a yes because a different caliber.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
Now.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Nah, yeah, I must say, I must say because of it,
I'm on my decks. I'm on my decks a lot more.

Speaker 4 (38:57):
The next one, you know, like like anyone says the
side of man, because Ady and one been joining these
battles too, and he's been killing it. He's been doing
his thing and ship, you know, and I've just been
sitting back just chilling. Man, this my tables collect dust.
But now I dust those motherfuckers off. I'm wind that
ship every day. I fucking I got the love back, man,
and I'm just trying to I'm just just trying to

(39:19):
sharpen my swords.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Man.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
That's so there you go, Gemini, the DJ on TikTok.
If you ain't following him, you need to follow him.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Ship TikTok might be doneing over with by the next year,
following before before Trump gets an officer. That's even if
his motherfucker gets it off. Man, I know, I know
the drones might take him out. You know what I'm saying.
What I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
And then there was a tornado, and like up north
a little bit right in California, there was a tornado.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Son, that's crazy. Hey, dogs, I'm saying, this guy is falling, bro,
you know what it is. God is mad, bro mad.
I'm gonna get I'm gonna get. The cheeseboard on the
end is near. Yeah, is getting wild out there, man,
And so the show's over. Thank y'all for for yeah
pulling up on us. You already know what it is.
Poon up on us. I put the Patreon.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Oh yeah, we do have a Patreon too. Now I'm
gonna change the price to it was two dollars. I'm
gonna just lower down a dollar. I've been looking, I've
been listening to a lot of people. It's a dollar,
and then we'll do like a dollar to to support
two dollars for all the downloads. I'll I'll make it
that way. But we already do have a bunch of
downloads already available on there. I'm gonna put the next
Skipless up this week, but.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
There's already at to give you. I gotta give you
the the Acapellas as well.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
Yeah, yeah, so Gemini has some God Blends Alcapella's that
he's gonna be dropping on there, and I think I already.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Put out.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
Uh one drop and it I think it has like
twenty tracks, so everything from the Rhymefest that's already available
to download on there. And then there's a bunch of
skipless tools on there that I put on there, and
our newsletter getting that one ready, so that's gonna probably
come up this this uh this week, and then the
newsletter too. If you just want to go to the
Patreon just to check it out. There is free posts

(41:03):
on there, so all the links for any of the
loopers that we use for the show, those will be
on there. I'd also do those on Instagram, but I
make a post from on Patreon, and then the newsletter
will be right there on Patreon, So I mean you
can go check it out, and then you can also
see what is behind the paywall, like any downloads, you'll
be able to see that, and it's just great out
and then if you want, you know, support the show,

(41:24):
anyone that does support the show, you'll get a shout out.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
So yeah, we just opened it.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
So it's we have no supporters so far, so there's
no one, no one to think, no one to thank. Yeah,
but if you are support, it will get better at
every level. You will get a shot out on here.
So if you guys want to get a shot out
on the show, yeah, you don't have to win a competition,
you just got to support us on Patreon and we'll.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Hook you up. That's right. Lots to come, lots of come.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Oh yeah, twenty twenty five right around the corner. Thank
y'all for hanging out with us. DJ Gemini eighty one.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
Tables for two, Tables for two, Shock one. Yep, keep
a tight ass.

Speaker 7 (41:58):
Son, Yeah, now that's right, y'all's tables for two.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
Y'all already know tables for two. We are back with
this is episode two now number two. You know, we're
just like reeling.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
Them in right now.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
I'm just checking your That was just like, you know,
if you're doing like some mashups what they call it back,
I used to call it blending back then, me and
my partners and ship in New York.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
So it's like, man, what was I saying, bro?

Speaker 3 (42:34):
I mean, you didn't call them blend, you didn't call
him mashups. You called them Who cares you for that. Hey,
the funny thing is that Gemini just forgot what he
was talking about. It really doesn't matter, because the point
is this.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
You need to check out these four mixtapes right now.
Number one we got DJ spin Bad, no one going,
I'm listening? Well was my Number two so I could
dress comfortable? Right? I want to dress right? Yeah, I
wanted to take my shirt off at No, let's not
get that comfortable. I don't want to see you chest this.

(43:17):
I got nice chesticles. You do.

Speaker 4 (43:19):
You got tic TACs as nipples and ship oh how
shoot what you want me to have? But they has
dark as islamis to tables for put your water ass
out of here, bab To mixtapes, you guys.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
Mind if I put in my mixtapell I got.

Speaker 3 (43:43):
Now we're going to talk about something that you don't
have to get on one try, which is so great.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
And this is the.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
Advantation of what it takes to create a mixtape, because like.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
This, making a mixtape, I don't want to say it
used to.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
Be a skill, because it is totally still a skill
just nowadays with the with the Internet, a lot of
mixtapes come out really really fast, you know what I mean?
And and anyone at any skill level can say, hey,
I have a mixtape and it's literally just them playing
like twelve songs and it covers an out.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
Well, let's bring it back, all right, DJ clue, was
there any special about his mixtapes?

Speaker 1 (44:26):
Well, I mean he did record and produce all the
beats with those artists. I mean, well, yeah, that's pretty dop. Okay,
but you mean he's not he's not.

Speaker 4 (44:34):
He's like I'm we're talking about DJ that has creativity
to the point of different samples, different songs, droppings, dropouts,
cuts of juggling, and oh you're talking.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
About the DJ DJ. Yes, all my bad, because you
know what I think.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
I think that's the other thing too. That that that now,
I mean, it's twenty twenty now right now, dat us
you know what I mean. I mean, it didn't get
canceled yet. It is still twenty twenty. And in twenty twenty,
it's so easy to put the words DJ in front
of your name and then everyone accepts it. But then
a lot of those DJs are strictly producers.

Speaker 1 (45:14):
They're not. They're not DJs there.

Speaker 3 (45:16):
I mean, I guess they're a DJ because they end
up playing their song but it's different.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
It's two different, it's different.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
So these mixtapes that we are talking about are about DJs.
We we both came up with two different ones that
they wanted. So Jim hit me with your first mixtape
that everyone needs to listen to.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
Before then I got to hit it off with this man,
DJ Spinbad ninety Mega Mix.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
If you haven't heard that, we were just listening to it,
to selections of it right now. Well, I know that
I run that. It's my inspiration when I do my mixtapes.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
Super creative, like he's making songs within the songs, like
you can wrap the words to the song, and he's
using nineteen different other samples to create the same lyrics.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
It's just ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (46:03):
Man, if you want it, if you want NonStop mixing, scratching,
droppings and all that above what we were saying before,
listen to DJ Spinbag.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
You can go to YouTube, you can google it.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
DJ Spinbad nineties Hip Hop Mega Mix. And he also
it's not the only one. Man, he has the classics too,
Man one, two, and three. So trust me, you would
not be disappointed. You would not be disappointed. I know
I said one, which one is yours?

Speaker 3 (46:29):
Okay, So the first one I'm gonna hit you with,
and this one is a little different. It's a little
different because this mixtape actually came out to promote a movie.
So I've been looking for it right now on Google
and everything. I can't find it. I can't even find it.
I remember I had it on cassette.

Speaker 1 (46:45):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
So it came out in nineteen ninety seven to promote
the movie eight Heads in a Duffle Bag, which was
like Joe Pashi, you.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
So, so it came out and it was a tape,
and the mixtape is it's only like fifteen minutes, like
like it's a quick thing. Maybe not twenty minutes, like
ten minutes on each side, different tracks, but it's it's
dj' by uh dj Juice Nice and he like, Okay,
the songs that he plays on the mixtape aren't even

(47:15):
in the movie. Like Yo, he's he's cutting like Harris One.
He's cutting like like some some primo gangstar shit, like
he's like getting down. And then in between the songs,
he's got samples of the movie. Samples of the movies
are coming in. And I don't know if you remember,
like it is in the Double Bag. But that's like
a dope movie. If you haven't seen it, yes, watch it.

(47:35):
So it's kind of dope that like that movie had
like this like monster of a mixtape that was like
so underground that it.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
Like I can't even find it right now.

Speaker 4 (47:45):
It's almost like the mixtape we did for Roodog's Not
Too a while back when I was using.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
The comedy duo of Oh.

Speaker 3 (47:53):
Remember we were putting the selections in there, like you
know what I mean, Like that's dope, you know, like hey,
and I'm just saying, if you ever can see this
eight heads and if you see like because it's funny
because I remember it was on it was on a tape,
and the tape to the mixtape was just the poster
of the movie and then it just said mixtape on it. Okay,
so it's like, you know, super rare. You gotta find it.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
DJ Juice j u Ice.

Speaker 4 (48:16):
It would have been dope if you still had a mixtape, man,
you could have probably uploaded yourself man, all all the.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
Streams, all right, So I told you mind, So now
tell me your second mixtape.

Speaker 4 (48:28):
My second okay, my second mixtape, Joe, It's it's it's
the DJ Revolution.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
All right.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
And he's a dope DJ too and creative too as well.
I believe one of the best. I believe the top
two of making these mixtapes is Revolution.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
And spin Bad.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
That that being said, it's called head to Head featuring
DJ spin Bad. Man, Yo, this mix tape is crazy
you It's yo, it's going yo. They going back and
forth like if you would sit here spin Bas's first
mixtape and then here because Revolution he had nothing but

(49:08):
mistapes out here.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
In the West Coast. You know, he was member of
the Beat Junkies too.

Speaker 4 (49:12):
Yeah oh yeah, yeah yeah he he didn't work straight
Beast Straight Beast. They both was on there going back
and forth on the mixtape with all that creativity, man,
and then I had to keep on running it back.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
I got to keep on listening to it every time.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
I That's what these are the mixtapes that I listened
to when I'm about to make my mixtape because it
inspires me to even dig even deeper, to get creative
even more.

Speaker 1 (49:39):
Man.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
And and you know, well, I remember I remember when
and this this is honorable mention to the mixtapes, but
I remember when you were developing still tracks and classics.
Before we came out, you were telling me about tracks,
tracks and classics for like maybe a year and a half.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
Took that And like in the beginning when you told me,
you were telling me it's almost done, and then when
you listen to tracks in classics, it sounds like it
was almost done for a year.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
And a half and you just kept on putting more
shit in there.

Speaker 4 (50:09):
But yoh, I appreciate it, man, Yo, but it's it's
it's you know, I couldn't do it with diverse you know,
diverse productions. It was all his beats that was on there,
all his instrumentals, and I took a cappellas and I
just pretty much put it together and use a lot
of that creativity to to make you want more. Yeah,

(50:31):
you know, sometimes you ever, I feel like if you
do the instrumental, I mean, if the instrumental the intro
of a mixtape, any mixtape, you want to grab whoever's
listening attention. And if you don't grab the attention in
the seconds, yeah, within seconds, you know, because you know
a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Got add ADHD whatever it is. Man, it's just like
they want us, you know what, let me, let me
change the channel, let me change the CD. Let me.

Speaker 3 (50:53):
You know, you got too much access to everything, so
you don't catch him within the five seconds.

Speaker 4 (50:57):
Yes, yes, So I'm a strong belie of coming in
strong and stay strong, you know, and with diverse, diverse
help he was, you know, he gave me a whole
bunch of beats and I just went in, you know.
But I was serving the repnots long ago, and I

(51:17):
found one of my old mixtapes I did what about
like ten years ago, you know, and it's called God
Blends Value one.

Speaker 1 (51:23):
Oh wow, I never did a volume two. Well, I
mean it could be overdue. You know.

Speaker 4 (51:29):
I've been listening to that mixtape like over and over
and over again, and I'm like, damn, it's like that
that that was me right there, you know what I'm saying.
And I remember when I first did that mixtape. I listened,
I listened to these DJs and and that's how I
get in the groove of pretty much my mixtapes.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
You know.

Speaker 4 (51:45):
It's a multi track like a mother, you know. And
and I don't play the whole song, like play pretty
verse in the hook and go into the next song
and keep it going. That way, so it could just
keep on, keep it interesting, you know, and you never
know what's going to come out of it.

Speaker 1 (52:03):
Man.

Speaker 4 (52:03):
Sometimes you might think that what you're working on is
not going to work, but then it's it's just building
on it and taking away and adding, taking away and adding, and.

Speaker 3 (52:13):
Hey, ay, and let's just emphasize taking away because sometimes
you just focus on adding, and then when you take
away certain things, it just sharpens up.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Everything that You're right, that's the great thing about multi tracks. Well,
sometimes less is best, you know what I'm saying. That
best it's not less, it's more. I like that less
it's best. Yes, yes, it depends.

Speaker 4 (52:34):
You got to know when though, you know, you don't
want to be too loud on one thing and too
much going on on one thing and feel you you
know what I'm saying. But sometimes less is best, and
that's for real. I heard one of yours two Ensan
Calou too, one of your your mixtapes is on it.
I listened to that all the time too, and it's
pretty dope. And there's little skits that you do drumming
the beat and cutting.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
On you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
I mean that that's part of being a DJ. You know, like,
how can you present something a little bit different? So
no one else did it like you?

Speaker 1 (53:02):
Right right?

Speaker 4 (53:04):
I remember with Tracks and Classes I gave it to
uh Icy Ice and either beat Junkies too Icy Ice
shout out, but he hit me back, told yo, I
dig your style. Man, I dig it, you know what
I'm saying. And that was pretty dope, you know what
I'm saying for coming from him, you know.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
No, Yeah, it's it's always dope to like get that
like patt in the back from someone you respect.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. So you know, Tracks and Classes
was something it should have been bigger. I should have
pushed it more, you know, but you know, things happen.

Speaker 1 (53:36):
The one dope thing about tracksing Classes is kind of timeless. Yeah,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
It's like it's like some of the other the mixtapes
that we've talked about, like you know earlier, they kind
of don't get old, right, you know what I'm saying.
I mean, if that's what you're looking for, like, if
you're looking for the baby, you might not like these
type of mix's a different aspect you got to think about,
Like DJ is putting out mixes not really for everyone.

Speaker 1 (54:02):
To vibe to.

Speaker 3 (54:03):
It's really we're putting out mixes for other DJs, right,
That's that's the.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
Type of mixtapes we're talking about.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
And now, like, I'm gonna let you know about my
uh my, my final entry, and I'm totally gonna cheat,
but I still commit.

Speaker 1 (54:16):
I still I still commit to the.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
Fact that this is a mixtape and I'm talking about
Return of the dj Okay. Now, this is a mixtape
because this is the first time ever that like a
label actually created an album where it was nothing but
DJ scratching.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
And I'm talking about this. This mixtape has.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
Everyone from Rob Swift to beat Junkies, Invisible Scratch Pickles,
Z Trip, Peanut, butter Wolf, Mixed Matter from My Cut, Camas, Batboo,
Like everyone is on this, like twelve tracks of nothing
but turntable ism. Yes, some of them they're making the beat,
like producing the beat and then scratching cuts all over it.

(54:58):
Some of them they're they're the scratch pickles.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
That Invasion of the Octopus people, Oh my god, it's
like like you could tell that wave Twisters, what's.

Speaker 1 (55:08):
Gonna happen listening to that track? You know what I mean?
It's one hundred percent nothing but DJ.

Speaker 3 (55:12):
It's nothing but scratching, and like, I mean, I think
that this this, this mixtape, this album was so iconic
for the just.

Speaker 1 (55:20):
The DJ community period. You got the album. I do
have the whole album. Yeah, I have the record.

Speaker 3 (55:25):
Yeah, I wore the re release because it came out
in ninety five, but in ninety seven the new artwork
came out and that that's our art work that everyone knows.
And then this actually went on to I think there
was three three three, uh, because that's volume one.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
In volume two and three came out, so I mean,
it's dope.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
The outro to this is crazy, Well, the outro du
to uh to Volume two is crazy. The guys that
did it, they took nothing but samples from like people
that wrapped about saying goodbye or were leaving, so they
legit made like like an outro, you know what I
mean kind of like like like like I heard our promos,

(56:05):
how I did it and I made it like so
like you know that we're leaving, like it says goodbye
and you know we're out, and you know what I mean,
I think, like, uh, it's it's dope to pick and
choose samples like that and and really tell a story.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
That's what it is, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
We're musically telling the story through through our imagination on
what we can find and then are you know cuts, And.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
All you gotta do is just close your eyes and
just enjoy it. Man.

Speaker 4 (56:32):
That's it, you know, And it definitely does paint a
picture like when I do stuff. I listened to it
over and over again, and I can't believe I came
up with something like that, you know, and it's like
it's like, damn, it makes me want to keep on
going and see what else I could come up with.
And before you know it, forty five minutes past sixty.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Past hey, and then and then you press play and
you're like, damn, I got a dope minute twenty five.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
Just chirping outside and everything lights coming out. It's like, damn,
I thought I did I need thirty minutes? You know,
it's only two minutes, two.

Speaker 1 (57:07):
Minutes that I just do. You know what I mean.
You're you're all like, hey, I'm working on this mixtape.

Speaker 3 (57:13):
Oh yeah, how far are you in? Two minutes? Oh
yeah yeah, but don't trip, dog. I got forty six
songs it's just.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
The point that that that makes it long is looking
for the right samples to go with what you got.
You need to check out these four mixtapes right now.
Number one we got DJ Spinbad Nineties Megamix, number two
eight Heads in the Duffel Bag by DJ Juice, Number three,

(57:43):
DJ Revolution, Heads Ahead featuring DJ spin Bad, and then
number three Return of the DJ Volume one.

Speaker 1 (57:51):
You can check it off.

Speaker 3 (57:51):
No No.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Number three, number four, number one, number four, number four,
Yeah you know, I no, no, that was that was
number four. But this is volume one of the three volumes,
the Return of the DJ that they have I got.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
It's funny because you know, a lot of people think
that you look like Sindbad.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
So did you when you were younger, think that you
could be DJ spin Bad? You found life spin Bad?
I mean, I don't like shin Bad.

Speaker 3 (58:18):
Bro, fuck you, And I'm the one I told Joe
ass that, Hey, that's the funny thing. It's like, you
like you busted an eminem on me. They're like, well
if I tell him that I look like Sindbad first,
and he'll never say it back, Like, why that's not
gonna work, bro, I'm just gonna bring.

Speaker 1 (58:33):
It up all the time.

Speaker 4 (58:36):
It's crazy because when I see when I see sindbad
at them.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
The funny thing, and then you took a picture with this,
you know. The first thing I told I was like that.
I said, I said, yo bad, he goes so funny.

Speaker 4 (58:48):
I go a lot of people think I'm like you, bro,
I look like you, and he says, no, no, no, no, no,
no no no, you're a light skinned brother.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
Okay, So, so did you ask him about the Sam
movie or not? Connection No, no, no, I haven't asked
him about that at all. Man, I should have. Man,
I'm just saying, I mean the UFO we saw in UFO, So,
I mean, you're gonna bring a lot of stuff could happen.

Speaker 4 (59:12):
I'm just saying, Hey, what's crazy about it is that
you could talk to me about it and then grab
Idian one and put him in his separate room and
talk to him about it and our stories exactly the same.

Speaker 1 (59:23):
Yeah. We will save that for another day though. So
I'm just you just we could give you the whole seat,
but you're only gonna need the edge. They're gonna want
to hear that. They don't want to hear that part
right there. But that's pretty much. I don't know UFOs
are circle. That one wasn't that was that was not
the circle. That was not no circle. It was not
what they say on tv B. Don't believe the hype.

Speaker 3 (59:43):
