But after the hip hop's done over here, there's gonna

whether or not you guys feeling, but it's hot as hell.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
When we first got off here. We put up the
tent and everything, and it was like a sign.

Speaker 11 (01:43):
Of yeah many but still it's better than the sun
beating on your face.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, I'm a ways in the sun though, you know,
I'm like outside, So it's like I got a T
shirt on this ship. But if I take this off,
my whole body's white, and so it doesn't look like
my arms on my neck, on my head belongs to me.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
It's real sun.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (02:03):
Yeah, no, man, we're ready to you know, represent that
drum and bassed jungle music sound when it comes to
the underground, you know what I mean, Like drum and
bass and hip hop have always been synonymous. You know,
we've always had back in you know, the early nineties.
I come from the nineties, man, So it's like back then,
big raves and major events and festivals used to always.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
Have underground hip hop and jungle and drum and bassed music.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Nice.

Speaker 11 (02:28):
So it's good, you know what I mean, to be
back like on this platform with this forum and these
type of people. So that way we you know, we
can introduce them to the drum and bassed music, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
You know, I use all of them into drumming bass whatso.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Yeah, and that's that's a crazy thing too because before
back in the day too, like all the shows at
the Orange Show, all the hip hop's always had like
the bass rushing.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Room or something, you know what I mean, Yeah, definitely,
it was always going down.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
So yeah, so so what's time you're supposed to be
going on to the stage.

Speaker 11 (02:53):
We're going on from nine thirty to ten. Oh yeah,
the drumming bass starts at eight o'clock. They're gonna have
drumming bass from eight to a leven to closing, you know,
so we should be good.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
We probably don't have any one doing some breakdown and.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
That that was always my thing too, Like going to Respect,
like it was like Yo, at the Larkmont, it was like, dog, okay,
we're gonna get a break or circle.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
You know the business when it comes to Respect, man.

Speaker 11 (03:14):
You know, they're the longest drumming, bassed like club that
had been running out here and like no la, they've
been representing the West Coast, you know. So it's like
we just played Respect Thursday. Last Thursday, we just played
So it's like, you know what I mean, like, yeah,
we definitely have love for junglest Platoon is also going
to be rapping over here on the side stage. So yeah,
it's it's a beautiful thing, you know what I mean,

(03:35):
Like we can get these two genres to get together again.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
You know, Yeah, it's been a long time coming.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Hey what yo, that system is popping, yes, because you
know that's just I told him.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I was like, Yo, just scratch to what they're playing.
It's cool.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
We heard it outside.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Were like, damn that shit's wud bumping.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Oh you heard us cutting to the music. All you heard.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
We just heard the music from the outside, from the
entrances right here in the front.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
You know, they got these big guys towers on something yeah.

Speaker 11 (04:06):
Man, yeah, Chris Man definitely representing the music in a
correct way.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
You know, that's the way you want to perform exactly music.
It's just like exactly and speaking speaking about performing in
the music too. And I'll think you got you got
some new tracks that just came out.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, man, I got. I got a bunch of new
stuff coming out left and right.

Speaker 12 (04:23):
But I've been releasing music through a Belgium label called
Monkey Business and that's where my latest releases have been
coming through, and also with Yesca Beats and we're gonna
have our fIF ten year anniversary release coming up here
this month.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
And he's also streaming where you be streaming us?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Oh? Okay, so you on twitch to? Okay, there it is.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
So so have you had have you accepted the new,
the new uh, the new atmosphere that they're generating out there,
because I know you had to.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I haven't made the leap yet. I'm going to.

Speaker 12 (04:52):
But you know, it's been a big transformation since the
early days, you know, from the nineties to the two
thousand twenty.

Speaker 13 (04:59):
You said nineties, So were you on you stream then?
I don't know, I know back in the day that's
what in general, who like you know what I mean?
But yeah, I mean I remember stream Twitch Switch all day.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I used to mixed that. Oh really yeah, okay, how
are you like.

Speaker 12 (05:14):
Fuck twenty twenty fifteen or something like that.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, and then you know Twitch came out and then
the pandemic, But that's when it was popping.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
It was super popping. Man.

Speaker 8 (05:24):
He was on like every day.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
It was.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
It was one of those things.

Speaker 9 (05:30):
Now I'm like, no, we got a real event.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Sorry, the Wi Fi is not strong enough to stream it.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
For the longest he was like, yo, Jim, come come across,
come on board.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
I'm like, TikTok's been working brands.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
So, I mean, no matter what.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
As a DJ too, there's just so many lanes. That's
why when you say, like, yo, it's it's it's changed
so much from the nineties.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Yeah, the whole world has changed so much, really, from college.

Speaker 12 (05:54):
Radio to fucking streaming now, you know what I mean, Just.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Like everything's instant now. Yeah, it's crazy, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Like, So, okay, so I know, because we're here, we're
here at Rynfest, right, And when it comes.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
To hip hop, there's there's always beef. So in the
drum and bassed community.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
You know, I'll okay, Rap has Kendrick Lamar and right
now right and then as far as cutters, we got
Craze and Cuba.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Yeah, so where's the beef in the drum and bass?

Speaker 2 (06:22):
See that?

Speaker 6 (06:23):
Man, I'll let you speak on that. We try to
stay out of it, you know what I mean.

Speaker 11 (06:27):
Like I'm an og man, like you know, I come
from nineteen ninety six, so like for me, yeah, man,
like I come from an era where it's like people,
you know, weren't really beefing back then. It was all
about respect and just the love for the music and
creating your platform and representing your crew, you know what
I mean. So it's like ever since back then, you
know what I mean, people now see me as kind

(06:47):
of like a don and you know, like an elder.
So it's like I stay I stay out of all
that and I stay out of all the drama. I
just watch it go on, you know what I mean.
I keep my mouth shut, my eyes open, well, bro, because.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Honestly, when it comes down to you've been off Nick
Flyer's like since way back yeah, man, yeah.

Speaker 11 (07:03):
I'm from It's crazy hearing people tell me, oh I
grew up watching you, you know what I mean, We
grew up going to events where you were at, you know,
and reminded me things like audiotistic audio. It was major,
major events back then, you know. So it's like, I mean,
a lot of the whole you know that a lot
of the underground hip hop heads all know myself r

(07:23):
aw curious because like you know.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
We're all from like the that the original headliner. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 11 (07:31):
So it's like, you know, we used to we used
to rock with ac alone, you know what I mean,
Like I've I've rocked with who else.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Sons of man, you know what I mean, back in
the day.

Speaker 11 (07:42):
Like you know, we've done like a bunch of different
uh combinations where we brought in the underground hip hop
over drumming bass, over jungle music.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
And so it's like, you know, like I mean, I'm
from I'm for the original platform, you know. I mean,
like I said, the.

Speaker 11 (07:57):
Bricklayers, the ones that you know, kind of created like
the platform for everybody that's you know, doing what they
doing today, you know, thirty years later.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
So but yeah, no, I stay out of drama.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
A little Birdie told me that you used to give
cookies away and shit.

Speaker 11 (08:12):
Yeah, man, you know, we've been doing a party called
a day party called I Love La for sixteen years.
This is our seventeenth year, and that that's the way
it is that I got everyone kind of hooked on
going because they knew that we would be giving away
free cookies edibles all day long. And we're talking about
making like a thousand, over one thousand cookies and just

(08:32):
to the point where people wouldn't want them anymore.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah, you know, I just want to know when you
want to vite dat want.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
And you guys gotta go.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Man, you know meuse I don't know if you know,
but I love La too.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah, I love He might love La.

Speaker 9 (08:45):
He might be wearing a New York hat, but hey,
I'm from New York, so I gotta rep it.

Speaker 11 (08:49):
You know, We're actually going to be throwing a free
party on Labor Day, Monday, September second, at in Long Beach,
and it's called I Love LBCNE and it's going to
be on Rosie's Dog Beach. I don't know whether or
not you guys know it, but it's a fair really
popular dog beach that's in Long Beach and I'm gonna
be throwing it with Merge and Green Life, and you know,

(09:11):
we're just gonna get the thing popping. It's right on
the beach. It's gonna be dope, you know what I mean.
And we also have a big Halloween party. It's gonna
be our seventeenth annual Halloween Masquerade. I love La and
that one's gonna be right around Halloween, towards the end
of October, you know.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
And that one gets crazy too. We do vigantas and stuff.

Speaker 6 (09:31):
Yeah, with edibles, you know, like wax and joints.

Speaker 11 (09:38):
Three year olds and you should see when that shit,
people are like little kids waiting for it to crack
so they can all like.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
It's like a bum rush, you know, like a modishpit.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
That's crazy, man.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Yeah, it's like a bunch of roaches. Yeah, we try
to make it memorable.

Speaker 11 (09:56):
We try to create an atmosphere where people aren't just
going to the party for the DJ. They're going for
the vibes. Shit, I don't care if you're there for
the cookies and the edibles.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
They're going for something that's not just the music, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 11 (10:07):
So that way when they leave, they not only leave
with a pocket full of edibles and a pocketful of
you know, ghetto life gear, you know, which we do have.
We have ghetto life clothing going on. We've been doing
that since two thousand. So it's like, you know, like
we're just always like trying to stay up on the
forefront and uh, you know what I mean, like out
there for the people, you know, because we were built

(10:27):
by the people. So we try to give back as
much as we can, you know, with everything from edibles
to clothes.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
We see we see the hats on that snow so yeah,
you saw like hats.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
Yeah man, yeah, yeah, hat shirt sweaters.

Speaker 14 (10:39):
You know.

Speaker 11 (10:39):
We got a gang of stickers with us, Like we're
always giving away something, you know, and you know what that.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
That's what makes it fun too.

Speaker 9 (10:45):
That's why when we were getting ready for this, we
were like, well, what are we gonna do?

Speaker 4 (10:47):
And we're like, okay, we'll do some key chains and
lanyards and some koozies and you know what I mean,
you know, and then and.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Then give give almost all of it away.

Speaker 7 (10:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (10:58):
We're also throwing a party, a backyard pool party in
Las Vegas called I Love ALV and that one's gonna
be on Saturday, September fourteenth.

Speaker 6 (11:07):
We got books, you know what I mean.

Speaker 11 (11:09):
So it's like, yeah, that's gonna be a huge backyard party.
We got some big, big names coming out from the
UK that are like they're literally like their first time
in the United States. So it's like, but this is
all going to be in the backyard with a pole,
so like you know, it's gonna be a straight backyard
boogie man.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
So like we're excited about that too.

Speaker 11 (11:26):
No, we got our hands in a bunch of different pots,
you know, like I'm a man that men wears many hats.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, we s I was sawing eight am West said, Yo,
we got to take a trip to Vegas. So I
guess that's going to be off Tripp.

Speaker 7 (11:37):
We do got to go.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Let's bring the show.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Let's bring the show like we did.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah you should. We did too. We took the whole
podcast off Vegas.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
That's Red of the Room and everything right, it just
went ham on it.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
Yeah, yeah, you know we won't put out on CAD.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
And I'm telling you, know, telling you to just to
get back to because I know you said did you
were dropping a lot of stuff like on the UK label.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
How is that working?

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Because I know, like all the imported stuff here likes fire,
you know what.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I mean, Like if you get you.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Get especially older, so you get like some old metal
heads or something like, oh shit's gonna be odd.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Like come in in the UK import it's always big.
So how is it being like an American dropping on
the UK label? It's kind of funny. I'll mention it
real fast.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
Like you've been previously said.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
About the kind of beets and stuff that might be within.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
The scene.

Speaker 9 (12:22):
Over there. They look at us a certain way and stuff,
but they form me with open.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Arms to release music over there. And you know, it's
been it's been nice. I've gotten a lot of support.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
From over there, and it's just I.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Don't I don't even know how it happened.

Speaker 12 (12:38):
It was just like an organic friendship that occurred through
this record label and they like the sound, and you know,
through Belgium, Germany actually, and that's where most of my music.

Speaker 8 (12:48):
Has been released, you know.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
So it's been an interesting ride.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
You know. Yeah.

Speaker 11 (12:52):
A lot of the music that Tank Dubs has been
creating and making his like straight like original jungle music,
which is like the Amen break all shoppy with a
bunch of samples like you know, he makes some fun
so it's like, you know, for all the true true
jungleists out there in the world, you know what I mean,
Like they definitely like are feeling his music.

Speaker 6 (13:12):
I know because I'm feeling it. So I know if
I'm feeling it and that shit's hot, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 12 (13:16):
Like, Yeah, my music comes from a more like hip
hop style background and soundclash, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Reggae and all that.

Speaker 12 (13:25):
So it's like with a DJ friendly battle style and
all that kind of stuff Turntable is.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
So you know, that's dope. As long as you're having
fun that people have fun will meet with your music,
you know.

Speaker 11 (13:38):
You know, we also have another big producer on our
Ghetto Life label and his name is Sergia nine, and
that that boy is on fire right now.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
You know.

Speaker 11 (13:47):
He makes a lot of jump up and a lot
of like upfront current drumming bass, and like he's been
getting a lot of support from a lot of UK
legends that have been filling his production as well.

Speaker 6 (13:59):
So it's like, yeah, definitely, and I need to get
a shout out to my boards.

Speaker 11 (14:01):
Surge of nine. Look out for Serge of nine, look
out for tank Dubs. You know, what I mean, look
out for APX one. Like we're always, like I said
on the forefront, when it comes to DJing, when it
comes to pushing the music, pushing the label, pushing the brand,
throwing parties, you know, we do everything, man. So it's like, yeah,
if you know drum and bass in La then you
definitely know Tank Dubs and APX one.

Speaker 12 (14:21):
One thing I'll say about it again is that I
think overseas and stuff, if they see the purity of
what you're doing, they'll love it and they'll embrace you.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Oh yeah, they're already into the music. So it's like, yo,
are you gonna come real or what are you? I
think it's one of those things.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Man.

Speaker 12 (14:36):
It was born over there from like a melting pot
of different musics and it was transported over here.

Speaker 9 (14:43):
But you know, sometimes there's a little bit of vickering.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
You know, who did what at what time, blah blah blah.

Speaker 12 (14:48):
But if they see the purity that's the music here
in the art you're creating, they'll embrace it.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
You know.

Speaker 11 (14:54):
Yeah, you know, I mean I played drum and bass
in Amsterdam, I played in Jamaica, you know what I mean.
Like I've gone all the way off to South Africa
to Johannesburg. Man, Like, it was crazy going out there
and flying out there for them and seeing their whole
drumming bass scene and how it is that they do it,
and it's just it's it's lovely, man. Being able to
spread the music all across the world, you know, that's.

Speaker 12 (15:13):
Dope, especially for our culture, like a Chicago culture at RASSA,
and it's really it's been nice to be able to
spread that awareness around the world through our music.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
That's badassah, you know what I mean. That's what That's
why they say drums are the most important instruments.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
Py A nice eight men break in the morning. That's
an alarm clock right.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
There, that's right.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
And the thing that I like too, especially with like
the scratching community, I like that a lot of battles
incorporate like a drum embrace break at the end, like
because I know, like battle for free Passage for the
port of Lounge battle, the ending round to who wins
it was all like a nice eighty five vpm B
and the.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Ending just knocked it up and it was like all right,
now what you got.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
Yeah, it's it's crazy.

Speaker 11 (16:02):
A lot of house DJs and a lot of like
you know, other genre DJs are like incorporating drum and
bass into all of their mixes. You know, you go
to any kind of insomniac event like Nocturnal Wonderland or EDC,
and like every stage is playing every type of music
because it's just a mashup now of different genres now
like these days, like there isn't just one DJ that

(16:24):
plays one style of music. Like they're all incorporating drum
and bass into their sound.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
So it's dope.

Speaker 11 (16:29):
It's dope to see it gets the reaction that it
does with a stage of like forty fifty one hundred
thousand people, you know what I mean, Like, yeah, you know,
the West Coast is just it's grew so much compared
to like we were saying the old audiotistic and you know,
the old like you know, ninety nine ninety eight two
thousand shows compared to like what the shows are now,

(16:50):
it's just fucking amazing. I mean EDC had what like
over half a million people, So it's like, dude, to
have five hundred seven hundred thousand people come through.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
The go them making that most to Vegas ridiculous, I know,
I know their move to Vegas wasn't in like the
best reason why, but that catapulted bro Hole Festival.

Speaker 11 (17:11):
Yeah, I mean they throw something. I mean, look at
they just did. What was the show that they did
in Inglewood?

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Oh the heart hard Best, the one that they had
the chance change the law. Now now they're like no
more more.

Speaker 11 (17:21):
Because of the because of the music and everything. Yeah,
they had the Hard festival and like that one, the
same thing. It's like now they just throw anything, and
it's like they sell it out, you know, no matter what,
there's gonna be hundreds of thousands of people.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 12 (17:34):
It's kind of like full circle though, because we're at
the coliseum where that last ADC was.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Yeah, I remember to playing drum and bass once again here,
so full circle.

Speaker 7 (17:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
I think I think my my my last uh my
last rave here was Together's one.

Speaker 7 (17:50):
Yeah, so I was here for that.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
I remember.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
I remember getting smashed in the gate, like right because
we were trying to.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Get downstairs for the for the countdown, and then I
got smashed.

Speaker 9 (18:00):
And then we got in and we were like all
right cool, and then right when we.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Went to go down the stairs, no stairs are close
so we did it under the torch, but it was
still good.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
And Eddie it's Matt Hurt.

Speaker 7 (18:08):
Yeah, yeah, No.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
You know what's crazy is I played together.

Speaker 11 (18:12):
I played together as one when it was here, and
I've also played Monster Massive here, Like I've played a
lot of different big, huge, major events that have.

Speaker 6 (18:21):
Gone right here.

Speaker 11 (18:22):
So it's almost like for a full circle, you know
what I mean, Like for us to be back here
playing drum and bass, like at the coliseum, it's a
big deal, man, and.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Then together there's one it was a mix and everything
because like Visionaries, Cool Keith, I think it was out that.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
New Year's Eve, so like hip hop and Dan like
all of it, it's been here.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
You know.

Speaker 11 (18:41):
That's another thing, you know what I mean, Like back then,
like I think we were playing right after Mark Love,
and it's like, you know, me and Mark Love, like
we would always whenever we were on the at the
airport going from state to state, we would always run
into him because he'd be playing the same festivals we
were playing.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Because hip hop.

Speaker 11 (18:58):
Again was synonymous with drumming bass, and like we were
just all doing the festivals. I remember one time we
were going out to Hawaii and we saw him waiting
for the same fight.

Speaker 6 (19:06):
We're like and He's like, yeah, I'm on the same party.
I was like, what the hell is?

Speaker 11 (19:10):
So, you know what I mean, Like, we definitely have
those memories when it comes to you know, the whole
integation of hip hop and drumm and bass.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
You know, it's like a family.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
It's excesting.

Speaker 6 (19:19):
Yeah, definitely, And like even touching back to like how he.

Speaker 12 (19:22):
Was talking about how he's one of the foundational bricklayers
of our music. And I grew up as a kid
watching him when I came in the game in ninety
six two, you know, I was.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
Like fifteen, fourteen years old and I.

Speaker 12 (19:33):
Was coming up watching him curious and r aw and
now full circle. I've been working with him for the
last five years on the is Love La and Ghetto
Lack label and.

Speaker 9 (19:43):
Events, so and we're here full circle again.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
So it's crazy how music works.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Man, It's crazy. We're dope, bro.

Speaker 6 (19:51):
It's it's always a journey, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
We're sitting here right now. Take Dubbs and ap X
one go ahead, Bulbs up.

Speaker 6 (19:58):
We definitely want to thank you guys for uoting us.

Speaker 11 (20:00):
Do you know what I mean, like this is podcasting
interview because you know, it's like you guys could just
have like hip hop legends here all day, and it's
like for you guys to invite us and want.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
To hear what we're doing.

Speaker 6 (20:10):
Like as far as the drumming based thing, it's a
big deal.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
So great, hey bro, much love that the show is
built by DJ's for dj bro. So you know what
I mean, it doesn't matter what you're playing, you're playing it,
you're behind the decks, you're good at it, you're killing
this crowd everything.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
I'm excited.

Speaker 6 (20:24):
I'm excited to see you guys.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
But so before before we.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Go, Tank Dubs, you got something you want to like,
your socials, anything you want to shout.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Out, it's coming out.

Speaker 12 (20:33):
Find me on Instagram, Tank Dubs, SoundCloud, Tank Dubs, Same
with DJ if you x one on Instagram and SoundCloud. Yeah,
and you know we got Nocturnal Wonderland coming up. I'm
gonna be vending, we're gonna be djaying, it's gonna be wild.

Speaker 11 (20:47):
And then for all of you old Facebook users, you
know what I mean, like you considered like a relic.

Speaker 6 (20:53):
Yeah, but yeah, I go under Aaron A R O
N ap.

Speaker 11 (20:57):
X once spelled out ap x O n E so
me and then also I love LA events on Facebook
as well, you know what I mean. So it said, Yeah,
you know, we try to make sure that we're in
every area when it comes to social media.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah, if you all look out what table for two,
you know, the Vegas events in Vegas, Vegas, some.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Cookies at a boom, Yeah, we got you.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
We might not remember it later.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
So what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
No diddy, no diddy.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
What what happens anywhere stays out of it?

Speaker 1 (21:30):
You know.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
It was a pleasure of fellas.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Man.

Speaker 6 (21:35):
Yeah, respect, big respect, guys, you know what I mean.
I hope you guys have a good rest of the day.
In this little heat tent. You guys got going on
like so many years, Get a shaming in here, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 11 (21:46):
Start doing ayahuasca, sweat it out, bring out the buckets
for everyone to throw up.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Nice idean one says, I know it was way anyway
so much.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I'm gonna I'm gonna go get.

Speaker 11 (21:59):
The stage and and just pureify it's needed, especially out there.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
It's needed.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Man.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
When you heard it here, Tables for two.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
Tables for two, A down to tables for two, respect respect.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Ship bang bang where ow nice DJ Gemini?

Speaker 6 (22:26):
We are back right fast out hey, yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Tables for two.

Speaker 9 (22:30):
We are in the building and we got another one
on the mic right now.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
But what up right about now? So look the way
I remember this guy Gemini? All right, this, this is good.
This is gonna date you a little bit.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
It's gonna date you a little bit, that's all right.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
The first time I met this guy right here was
at the Nowhere Cafe in Pasadena back in the Acid.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Rain days, way back.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
How many years you're talking about?

Speaker 4 (22:55):
How many roll I don't know what it's like, fifteen,
sixteen years ago, something like that.

Speaker 8 (23:00):
It could have been a little longer.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
It could have been could have been saying.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
It could have been twenty I was DJing for Bizarret
and a bunch of shows that we would be at.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
Bizarre five damn minute. Yeah about twenty.

Speaker 15 (23:14):
Twenty one, Like twenty two is the time, it says,
is rapidly you know, no, yeah, yeah, it's.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Feeding up now.

Speaker 8 (23:20):
Yeah yeah, it's probably like you know, it might be
over twenty bro, Like damn.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Y a gentleman, we got beyond in.

Speaker 8 (23:28):
The house right now, Acid Rain Baby, Acid Rain right now.

Speaker 15 (23:32):
We represent Acid Lap of Records, uh, which is the
label that myself and God just started so that we
can release our own music the way we want to
when we want to support our homies around us.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
We just want to release dope music without any.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Kind of limitations.

Speaker 15 (23:47):
Yeah, people, you know, giving them a formula that they
don't really want to follow, Like naw, We're gonna do
the art the way we want to and release it
like that.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (23:55):
Yeah, And you know what that's that's essentially what hip
hop is about.

Speaker 8 (24:00):
Definitely, Definitely it's about.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Sure, it's a genre, but everybody in the genre is
their own character.

Speaker 15 (24:09):
And they do it their own with definitely no for sure,
I mean, and that that's what's so dope about hip hop.
That's that like, even though people have similar vibes are
like different genres within this gigantic genre, everyone does what
they do towards that in a different way. And in
the era that I grew up in, nobody wanted to
sound the same. He wanted to be different than the
next guy. You wanted to add your own uniques, whether

(24:31):
it was a cadence or a voice or the style
or the way that you just came across on the beach,
just you wanted to be different from the next guy,
even if the guy was in your roup. Y'all didn't
want to stund saying originally from from where I came from,
I know now it's you know, everybody sound the same,
like you know, like based on what's what's allowable and acceptable, you.

Speaker 7 (24:50):
Know, whatever it is, what it is like.

Speaker 15 (24:52):
And that's why we started asking that record, so that
we got to know what's happening out there. We can
do what we want to do the way we want
to do it and get it out there to the
people who want to hear that ship and right now,
like it's been you know, rest of pees Gaja ever
since Gaza past ten years ago, and I had to
figure out how how I was going to move forward
and how I was gonna, like you know, present, continue

(25:13):
to present myself and represent for Acid Rain, and I
realized we have to unfinished business. So oh, Mecca and myself,
we've we've finished up our.

Speaker 8 (25:21):
Parts of the Acid Rain album that we were working on.

Speaker 15 (25:23):
It's all produced by Duke Westlake Nice every song has
all of us on it, so it's not like we're peing.

Speaker 8 (25:29):
Everything was a full on album that we just took
longer than.

Speaker 15 (25:32):
We expected to do, which and now it works out
because we can give everybody one last closure album with
all of us and and but there's still a story
to tell. But Gaja has so much music that the
more music we continue to push out and bring lights
to what we are and what we're doing, it'll reflect
back on him and people will be able to see
his thirty years of catalog that's out there, like you know,
to to for people to examine and listen and bump

(25:55):
and enjoy it.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
It's it's really dope to see the impact that he
had because I mean, I hear like today, I'm hearing
a lot of love on the mic.

Speaker 8 (26:03):
Yeah, yeah, definitely.

Speaker 15 (26:04):
And he's he's one of those those creative entities that
not only touched us and his friends and his group,
but every the entire scene because the like acid Rain
was acid Rain because of the formula that he installed
and because we were out there pushing it, everybody seeing
who we had, and then it could really point pinpoint

(26:24):
that that special gift that he has and the humble
person that he was made him such likable and so likable.

Speaker 8 (26:31):
So yeah, and it's very hard for a lot of
people to.

Speaker 15 (26:34):
Accept the fact that he's no longer with us and
in a personal but you know, that's a.

Speaker 8 (26:38):
Testament to who he is and why we got to
continue to.

Speaker 15 (26:40):
Bush and get the people out there and as a group,
like the label actually is operating around as a group
and as a group like we're just you know, coming
together really good, doing a lot of shows, getting our
merch together, just just putting out singles and videos. In fact,
today we released a single called No Moss that features
myself MC Jakie Daniels, produced by a Mere Dialect and

(27:03):
Juja Ethos on the cuts.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Nice.

Speaker 8 (27:04):
We released the video on Tuesday, but now that you know,
the stactual song is available to stream everywhere as of today.

Speaker 15 (27:11):
And yeah, so so along with that, we have Expresses
a single guide Energies out of be released song upcoming Tuesday,
and we go after week, which is as a group
gonna continue to release music. It's gonna be variations of
all of us, some together. So you know, it's just
it's just a good time right now for Acid Lap Records.
And I'm really excited and I'm really high, but then

(27:33):
being able to be in events like this, well we're represented,
but not just ourselves but the Project Blow, which is
a whole nother tier in which really put passive rain
in myself and Gaja and Omeca in this this creative
round that we continue to just feed, feed into and
feed off THELD so to be able to be together
with Project Gold.

Speaker 8 (27:53):
There was over forty.

Speaker 15 (27:54):
Blodians, almost fifty Clodians on stage today. We did it
thirty man side for ten ten man's each ciphered. But
Madusa did it set a small quick set CD. He
did it set Ac did this intro app to the song.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
So we put on a really good show.

Speaker 15 (28:08):
We had an hour as Blow. So the explosiveness that
we were able to deliver there is it's a really
good So I'm just hype all around for everything that
we're doing just within hip hop.

Speaker 8 (28:18):
It feels like now it's a good time.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yah.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
You're definitely keeping his name in live man by doing
all this, all this everything, like you said, you cannot stop.
You gotta keep on going, and y'all working as a tune,
you know what, And that's a big thing, man, Yeah,
you know, And I want nothing but good.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Things for you.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Thank you man, thank you.

Speaker 15 (28:34):
And that's all I want for you know, for my
you know, the guys that are remedy as as friends
and as label maids and their.

Speaker 8 (28:41):
Fears and and not just my meeting circle, but everybody.

Speaker 15 (28:44):
Like it's it's like I said, it's a good time
for people to just get back together and realize that
hip hop could be fun.

Speaker 8 (28:49):
Like this music stuff is. It's not all business like,
like you know, get your formula together.

Speaker 15 (28:54):
For the business party and know how to handle that,
but more than anything, have fun and so that you know,
the business part itself out like you know, so and
I think that as a label.

Speaker 8 (29:03):
And as getting as blows like continuing this.

Speaker 15 (29:05):
The second time we got together to do this for
for Ryan Fest and then we did something a little
similar at the Blow anniversary.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
So just the blow camaraderie has been really good.

Speaker 7 (29:16):
So I'm I'm a fire right now.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Oh yeah, yeah, it was.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
It was dope at the B side to hear Abstract
Rude and Ac really talked about loadings in the way
that they were talking about like you know, merging the past,
the future, the president and just like you know, bringing
it all together exactly.

Speaker 15 (29:31):
It's always good to see both of them together, like,
you know, representing and and doing what they do best.

Speaker 8 (29:35):
You know, I enjoy that.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Yeah, definitely dope, definitely sope. So as as far as
that whole blow like Project Loload situation, how did that come?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
How did how did that come into blood?

Speaker 15 (29:46):
So, so Scooby had had Scooby and I years back
used to do these things called Ryanfest ciphers, and we
used to I used to pick random mcs and put
them together, and we'd go weird places and film these
ciphers and put videos out. And so that was an
idea that he always loved. And so then we it stopped.
It just abruptly stopped. All time he was and you know,

(30:08):
that was that, And then one day he hit me
back and he was like, Yo, I'm gonna have I'm
gonna I'm gonna do ryan Fest for you know last year.
I'm gonna do Ryn Best, and I want a cipher.
Let's do a rhyme Fest cipher. I was like, all right,
I could grab some guys.

Speaker 16 (30:17):
I go.

Speaker 15 (30:18):
In fact, we kind of owe some guys because we
just stopped, and we have some dope ciphers that we
never put out. He was like, Yeah, that's cool, but
what do you think about Project Glow? Do you think
you could get some blood guys?

Speaker 8 (30:28):
And I was like, all right, let me walk about this.

Speaker 15 (30:30):
So so last year and it was much quicker. We
had a small window of time to make it happen.
It was about you know, about twenty four of us
involved on that one. DJ Ethos did the whole thing.
You DJ's the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
It was the journey it was.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
We had supposed to have forty five minutes. We went
like fifty two and that was a live mixtape.

Speaker 15 (30:47):
So we had like Mike and I come out to
seventh sel, He'll start it off, do the first verse,
do the hook.

Speaker 8 (30:52):
And then Mike Mansen comes in and does a totally
different verse for the.

Speaker 15 (30:55):
Second verse, and then Mike check comes on, so ain't
he starts it and then somebody else finished it.

Speaker 8 (30:59):
And then the same thing with like Narco LETSI. So
all these all these famous Blow songs.

Speaker 15 (31:04):
Were basically mixed, done mix tape style live like just
to quickness, big long mix.

Speaker 8 (31:09):
So we did that and that was cool, and then
Spool we liked that and then he was like he
hit me up in January. He's seen what we did
at the Blow anniversary. Like he's seen that we took
like that, that similar concept and kept running with it.

Speaker 15 (31:21):
So he's like, I'm really liking the cipher, dude, Like
if you could give me a real cipher, I want
real cipher, like a cipher they could give me that.

Speaker 8 (31:28):
This year, I'm gonna have Brian best again. This was
in January, like January, February, right, think January.

Speaker 15 (31:33):
He's like, I'm like, all right, let me work out it.
He's like, you got time though, it's gonna be August,
so really think about it. He's like, and I want
to go big, Like all right. So then I took
it to AC and A well, actually he's spoked to
AC about it for this year.

Speaker 8 (31:44):
He's spoked to AC about it.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
A c you know.

Speaker 15 (31:47):
Hit me was like, hey, Scoopy wants to do it again.
Talk to him what he's talking about. That's when I
talked to him, and then he's kind of told me
I want to go bigger.

Speaker 8 (31:52):
Blah blah blah. So then I went back to ACU went.

Speaker 15 (31:54):
Back to AD and was like, look this is you know,
we have more time, we have more people that canna
be involved and you know, just based on conversation and
talking and s footballing ideas, we came up with a
thirty man cipher. They're kind of based revolving around the
thirty year anniversary that's coming up in December.

Speaker 8 (32:11):
I know right now we're.

Speaker 15 (32:12):
Technically still celebrating. It's not thirtieth until December, but it's
the same year, so.

Speaker 8 (32:16):
We're kind of running with it. And so that's how
what you're not good with, you know, Ac and app you.

Speaker 15 (32:25):
Know, because you know, we all formulated the idea and
it's a lot of work and a lot of way
to work out.

Speaker 8 (32:29):
Volunteer like, look, I'm up for the challenges. Wait to
go ahead and try.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
To work this out.

Speaker 8 (32:32):
I get the guys together, not that we have the plan.
If you guys trust me to do it again, let's
do it, and they're like, go for it.

Speaker 15 (32:38):
So really it's just the constant communication them trusting me,
all the Blodians trusting the concept of what we were
gonna do. Tak you know, to give someone who does
Poulan concerts only one minute and thirty seconds to wrap them, like, bro,
you got like, please do that.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
You can go over one.

Speaker 15 (32:56):
Minute and thirty like like what sixteen bars, twenty four
bars match, do a long verse, do a verse report whatever, like.

Speaker 8 (33:04):
Let's just try to keep this moving. So we could
get all these guys as well. So that was the
hard part convincing them to only do a little piece.

Speaker 15 (33:11):
But because they trusted the process and and you know,
these guys are pros, right, so then you know, okay, if.

Speaker 8 (33:19):
That's the if that's what we gotta do, that's what
we gotta do, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
So you know, legitive.

Speaker 15 (33:23):
We got some rehearsals in for each of the ciphers.
The performances, we didn't really need to that. I mean,
with two singers out of performance peoples, how to perform,
that was easy. Adals how to performing you know, so
that that all that far was easy us the ciphers,
which is it's not even about it being hard, just
more about everybody knowing the performance movie how.

Speaker 8 (33:42):
Quick it's really gonna be.

Speaker 15 (33:44):
There's gonna be a host someone saying your name, and
then you gotta jump right in and hitting the time
you're down here.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
And it's one of those things too, when you're up
on stage performing time flights, Oh.

Speaker 8 (33:52):
It's flying, it's flying.

Speaker 15 (33:53):
And then you know like where for me, it was
very important to not exceed the time because if we did,
then we were gonna leading to fellowship and then today
the time that that already kind of already started, things
were a little bit behind.

Speaker 8 (34:04):
So you know, it was a real it was a
real test. But you know, we did what we had
to do.

Speaker 15 (34:10):
Were luckily we're able to get the whole bload set off.
I think we had to chop of a little float.
I mean, thank god pre Step Fellowship or are the
humble m season the people that they are, they were
will need to cut some of their set so that.

Speaker 8 (34:21):
You know, if we appeased what we needed to be done,
so then now that was dope man.

Speaker 15 (34:26):
And so like, I'm just really glad that as a collectives,
everybody did their part in the whole thing, came together.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
As one dass. There's a lot of respect in the building. Yeah,
respects each other.

Speaker 8 (34:36):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Sometimes you'd be like, yo, you're gonna have a couple
of bars to scratch, and you want to go over
those bars, you know, right, But then you gotta be
like yo, you know what, like he said, you gotta
be professional body, you know the inside of that keep
it going and keep it moving, keeping the shut you know.

Speaker 8 (34:50):
So it's fun. I mean, I mean, and all the
bloody ins are high.

Speaker 15 (34:53):
So we're just looking for more opportunities that we can
do things together as a collective. I mean, it's gonna
be hard to do, you know, things with many of us,
but sometimes it could be like you know, sometimes it
could be less and it can always be an interchange.
It doesn't always have to be the same people like
we can. I don't know, there's a lot of ideas
that can spawn.

Speaker 8 (35:09):
Off this and you know, I'm I'm ready for it.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
And what he'd be trying to he wants to join
his cycle.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
No, I don't.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Just like Yo jumping nine trying to wrap.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
I like to talk ship to Gemini and ryme.

Speaker 17 (35:26):
I feel that I feel that.

Speaker 6 (35:29):
You're gonna play.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
You don't play fair son, you don't play wrap them
up and ship.

Speaker 15 (35:33):
You know.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
It's one of those things, you know.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
How they say, if you sing it, it means double
Nobody talks ship to him and I ryme, and it
means double.

Speaker 7 (35:41):
Got you that.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
You know you have you have anything that's coming up
soon and anything like.

Speaker 15 (35:48):

said that, the video just released it Tuesday. No Moss,
the single is actually out now streaming everywhere. Expresses single

I know he's always doing He's always doing this guy
you know he got I mean, he has all his
gigs that he's doing, and he's always when different opportunities
for different mcs that he works with come up, and

the other guys.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
They're here.

Speaker 8 (37:32):
They should have been here, but you know what we're
we're so scattered and I'm so glad that I actually
got to make it before you close it down.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
So you know that's right.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 8 (37:40):
Man, you know, has more things happening.

Speaker 15 (37:42):
We could do more of these, and much love and
respect you before what you guys, do you know keeping
the outlet you're live and open to you know, so
that the hip hop thrives.

Speaker 1 (37:50):

a shout up to Scoopy La La and everybody that's

started righte fast in twenty fourteen at the motherfucking Ukraine
and now we're in the fucking fucking Colosseum.

Speaker 6 (39:54):
Thanks your fucking goal.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Cows.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
So we are back right now at Ryan Fest La
DJ eightym one Tables.

Speaker 9 (40:05):
For two and I am sitting right now with a spitter.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
In the tent right now. Yo, this is a heavy hitter.
I'm just saying this man is dangerous when it comes
to the mic.

Speaker 6 (40:16):
Let him know who you are. What's up, everybody.

Speaker 14 (40:20):
It's litt D from Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, came
out to LA had the show Love for tables for
two of podcasts built for DJs by DJs. I'm not
a DJ, but my initials at DJ so I got
love it worse in the building.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
Right now, hanging out with the Soyo, what time did
you get here at Ryan festerday? I think I pulled
up at like three o'clock, okay, right, and then they
had me go on at like five thirty, which was
real cool rock the mic did like two songs, but
I was loving it.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Man.

Speaker 14 (40:52):
It's when you're in New York for so long you
don't realize how global this thing really is, you know
what I mean. And it's like hip hop culture is
so evident here.

Speaker 6 (41:02):
I mean there's graffiti and.

Speaker 14 (41:04):
DJ's and whatever in New York, but just seeing like
the breakdancers here and the culture of graffiti is like
all four elements of hip hop are so vital here still.
And for somebody who's only nineteen years old, who only
got to see it in like documentaries and music videos,
it's it's something amazing, and the love for hip hop

(41:24):
here is so real.

Speaker 6 (41:25):
I'll definitely be coming back soon.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 17 (41:27):
I think.

Speaker 4 (41:27):
I think that's one of the best aspects of what
Ryan fest La really puts together.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
They got.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
The freshest hip hop, threw it on a stage, and
then said, Yo, we're also gonna have the bee boy section.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
We're also gonna have the classic Burners doing the graffiti.

Speaker 9 (41:43):
We're gonna have the fresh DJ's.

Speaker 7 (41:45):
Out here doing the thing.

Speaker 2 (41:46):
Newmark was up there, mister chalk just before my cubant's
gonna go on a little bit.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
So, I mean, everything in this whole area right now
is hip hop, from the vendors to everything that's in here,
the fans, everyone, We're all in here and we're.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Doing it for the love of hip hop.

Speaker 14 (41:59):
Definitely could feel it, man. I Mean, there's there's a
festival kind of like this in Brooklyn, New York that
I do every year called the Bushwick Collective, So I'm
gonna get my shout outs to them too, because you know,
this definitely reminds me that.

Speaker 6 (42:11):
So it already felt like home.

Speaker 14 (42:13):
Yeah, I've been performing at that show since I'm like,
I don't know, like eleven years old, twelve years old.
So it's dope to kind of come to a show
that already feels like home because it's so similar. They
have the graffiti walls out there too, and you know,
but I'm gonna definitely talk to my man about maybe
putting a breaking section in there, because I feel like
New York needs a lot more.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
In that it is.

Speaker 6 (42:35):
It may be it may be an Olympics, but I
want it where I'm at.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
But what I'm saying I mean when it comes to
to break Dance season, Yeah, I mean, come on, you.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Can't wuck with New York. You know what i mean?

Speaker 14 (42:48):
Like ol oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean Crazy Les
is the homie for a long time. I actually I'm
when I'm back in New York. If anybody listening is
gonna be in New York and New Jersey, I'm on
August thirty first, I'm doing a show with Crazy Legs oh,
now called PRS Fest. He's got like Method Man and
Red Man coming out, Big Daddy came.

Speaker 4 (43:07):
Oh it is crazy how much Crazy Lakes is actually
involved in a lot of production and events.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Yeah, and he's always doing something.

Speaker 6 (43:13):
He's He's a really good guy who loves the culture.

Speaker 14 (43:18):
In my opinion, the greatest breakdance of that ever live.
I love him so much and what he does and
how he provides for this culture and just showing love
to me, you know, growing up and watching him do
his thing, and my dad putting me onto the movies
and the music videos and just the videos of him
doing his thing. The documentaries like because crazy yeah, yeah,
they're young doing hell yeah. Like I just went to

(43:38):
the Grammy Museum here and they got videos of him
doing this thing in the museum.

Speaker 6 (43:41):
It's like that's how you see how global he is.

Speaker 14 (43:44):
In his impact and his love that he's shown for
me since day one really is amazing. So shout out
to Crazy Legs who inspired generations on generations.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
To do this thing.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
Hey for real, I mean if it wasn't for Crazy Legs,
I mean like half half the move that we we
do still oh my god. I mean they've mere man
not elevated, but I mean those are those are the
real roots of you laid the base.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Speaks thinking of roots.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
Like okay, because, like you said, you were performing on
that stage, yeah eleven, So like when did you really
get in the game.

Speaker 14 (44:15):
I mean, like I started like picking up the pen
and fucking around with it at like nine ten, But
around eleven twelve, I was really taking it very seriously
and you know, pushing my pen and trying to hold
my craft and stay consistent, putting my stuff out in
social media and just showing people that like just cause
I'm a kid, you know, at the time, I was
a kid, It's like I was showing people that hip

(44:36):
hop is still alive and I'm still doing it, and
then I'm still putting on wrapping over DJ premiere beats
and not.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
You know, it was a rugged style bro. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (44:45):
So it's like it's it's been a long time coming.

Speaker 14 (44:48):
I turned twenty this year and to finally be able
to come out to LA and perform as a first
it's a full circle moment.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
So that's so so coming up, you have a any
track albums anyway? What's what's coming up next for you?

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (45:03):
August twenty third, I have my new song Sunglasses. No
matter what type of hip hop you fuck what, I
think you're gonna rock with this one. I just dropped
my new song called Fiction, so now on all streaming platforms.
I mean, I got I got like three EPs out
thirty songs on all streaming platforms and the like another
additional twenty features. I got a song with Cool g
rap that's out a song with Them's. I got songs

(45:26):
coming with Diamond D from d I, T C and
J Paine. Was that?

Speaker 1 (45:32):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 14 (45:33):
Yeah, So I'm on one of his new projects he's
coming out with. He just dropped the first of three
projects all as like the Dime Piece three.

Speaker 6 (45:41):
It's all in that circle.

Speaker 14 (45:42):
So I'm on one of those, which is gonna be
really dope and just you know, like a lot of
big things coming, So just stay tuned.

Speaker 6 (45:50):
You can find me on all streaming platforms litt d

got to run into you guys.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, hey man, That's.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
How it is out here.

Speaker 9 (51:49):
I mean, because like you're saying, we're constantly running into.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
People that like we haven't seen.

Speaker 9 (51:54):
I was just I was just talking to Patricks. He
wasn't here, and I was like, yo, Patricks came by
right now.

Speaker 8 (51:59):
So it's like you never know who you're gonna see, right.

Speaker 7 (52:01):
I see Nick feet inside.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
I was like, hey, he was there.

Speaker 7 (52:05):
And then I seen Pete trix Bro. Like it's a
lot of heads, man. I've seen some personal friends.

Speaker 16 (52:09):
Of mine that I haven't seen in like, dude, like
at least fifteen twenty years, man, And like it's an
honor for us to be here, brother, you know, with
a lot of our heroes falling out like casting away, man,
Like we're thankful to be here and doing what we love.
We're thankful to have like the other cats still doing work,
like not missing the plays like Free Style, Fellowship, Project
Load like you guys said ally Sympathy Rock that I

(52:30):
missed him.

Speaker 7 (52:30):
I wanted to see him. My wife she was like, really,
go see Funk Dubious.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
I was like, damn, Like, oh you know what. They're
on stage right now, right now? Yeah, yeah, buy him out.
Well man did say yo real quick, because he's going
to go to the main stage.

Speaker 7 (52:43):
Man, Like, I'm honored to be here.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Brother.

Speaker 7 (52:45):
We can chop it up from men and man for
you guys, I'll give my time.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
Dog.

Speaker 16 (52:48):
It's like, you know, life is short, brother, we got
to enjoy and just share it with the people that
we got. Man, that's one thing that I learned a lot, brother, Like,
you know, we all be in this game for many.

Speaker 7 (52:57):
Years, dude, and like you know, to do what we
man and like get the props and all that.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Dude.

Speaker 7 (53:03):
They're like still continuing like man, like.

Speaker 16 (53:05):
The Coulch is still alive, Brouch, Like you know, like
big up to school and a Ryan Fest family.

Speaker 10 (53:10):
Bro.

Speaker 16 (53:11):
Like they put down a great show you know at
the La Colin seem no one has ever done it
to that extent, brother, I know, like there.

Speaker 6 (53:16):
Was a lot of like talking all that.

Speaker 7 (53:18):
But you know what, man, like, hip hop is never perfect, brother,
Like it's the first time here. It might not be perfect,
but I'll tell you what.

Speaker 16 (53:24):
It looks like a lot of people had a great time, man, Like,
they had the graffiti element, all my casher out.

Speaker 7 (53:29):
There, like guys so thanks, like we had to fear
a lot of cats doing it.

Speaker 16 (53:33):
They had the breakers, you know, they had the rappers,
the DJ Schubert, I got to see him real quick,
Hubert Numa, like they were getting down bro. So like
I think the fact they got all the elements of
hip hop at the La Colors see him, Man, that's huge,
you know, that's really big. I don't think anyone's done
that for many years. I can't remember the last time,

(53:53):
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
There was definitie a lot of people a good turnout.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
You know.

Speaker 1 (53:57):
It's like hip hop is always living, man, it never died,
you know what I mean? And like we always say, man,
hip hop is universal and you could tell the real
from the fake out here.

Speaker 16 (54:05):
Yeah yeah, brother, Like you know I got it right
from Gads. So we were talking about that, brother, Like,
you know, like a lot of cats sometimes do it
like as a gimmick, as a fad, and that's fine, dude,
but you could kind of see that face out and
then you could see the ones that, like you really are.

Speaker 7 (54:20):
Like dedicated to the craft and the culture.

Speaker 16 (54:22):
Man, Like this shit like you can't get good overnight, brother,
Like you know, the craft, whether you're DJing, breakdownsing, you know,
like whatever, it takes the nights like blood, sweat and tears, sacrifice,
but like you know all of that, like to get
good and get where you're at, man, and you have
to have people that understand that what you're doing is
what you love and that's your passion, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 7 (54:42):
So if you have good people surrounding you, brother, like
it goes a long way.

Speaker 3 (54:45):
Yeah, it goes plenty of years.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Man.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
You gotta put all that work in, man.

Speaker 4 (54:47):
Yeah, I'm telling you so, Like I mean, you know,
for you guys out there that don't know, lou man,
Like when you're talking about this work that gets taken
like putting into being a DJ, I might be rocking
some forty five sets that are crazy.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (54:59):
And that's dedication and you know that's on top of
the other stuff. You gotta be out there finding you
gotta be surging, digging in the crates.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
Yes, and it never.

Speaker 7 (55:05):
Stops, Noah, bro, it never stops.

Speaker 13 (55:06):
Man.

Speaker 16 (55:07):
And it's that thing like you know, as long as
you got that fire lit, you know what I mean,
Like you're still going, you still putting in work.

Speaker 11 (55:12):
You know.

Speaker 7 (55:12):
I like to be well around it, bro, Like I
love doing the forty fives, I love doing the wax,
you know.

Speaker 16 (55:16):
Like I'm thankful, like I've been part of the Beat
Swat met like since they started. I've been part of
Break Beats and Rhymes, the bat Side Show, I think
Ryan Fitz since they started, you know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (55:25):
Like, so I'm thankful, Like.

Speaker 16 (55:27):
There I ain't even gonna find dude, like a couple
of cats that I run into, like almost teared up, bro,
like that we started like from the gutter, dude, and
like just like kept doing it, bro, Like, kept grinding,
you know, and like you know, once you even like
get family, you gotta work.

Speaker 7 (55:40):
You still the bills don't stop.

Speaker 16 (55:41):
But then it's like that whole sacrifice where you're like, man,
like we've seen people come and go because of that brother,
like you know, but I'm honored to see y'all. I'm
wanted to see the cats that are still doing it,
you know that are still here. You know, like we're
just thankful.

Speaker 11 (55:54):
Brother.

Speaker 7 (55:55):
I don't want to keep repeating myself.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
No, no, no, you're good, You're good. We already know, man,
definition of hip hop's loom. Man, Yo, you've been pulling
tracks out, bro, like like forgotten hip hop. Yeah, and
I'll be like, oh shit, yo, I remember that one
right there when he was at the B side of
the night you was playing some bangers, bro.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (56:14):
Yeah, And that's what like those outlets and platforms, that's
what they're there for, really to do what we love.

Speaker 14 (56:19):
Man.

Speaker 16 (56:19):
If I could pull out of cut that I love
I haven't heard in a minute and somebody gets a
joy out of that, But and then I could sleep good,
I did my job cool.

Speaker 7 (56:26):
I could wake up in the morning and be like, man,
that shit was. It was good. I'm good man. And
it's not a kidmic, it's not a fat dog.

Speaker 16 (56:31):
I'm not here to like front and like be like, yo,
this is no man, this is dedication one hundred big
dog from from my heart and straight up that's what's up?

Speaker 2 (56:40):
I like it, Bro. From B Side to DMC to
Ryan Fast la.

Speaker 7 (56:44):
A man back to back. I came from Passo rob
List this morning.

Speaker 16 (56:48):
I was there last night with my Beastie Boys tribute
Polywock Crew, Big up to them. We had to show
up this part called the Poorhouse and it was that
pastal robe list last night we were rocking, man and
like we did it, like you know, my wife and
I we day.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
We came back.

Speaker 16 (57:01):
Joe from eight got here at twelve, got ready came
over here, you know what I mean? And like that's
the grinding dedication like ever mad props for like understanding,
like what I do?

Speaker 7 (57:09):
You know what I mean, I'm pushing me one hundred.

Speaker 16 (57:11):
Brother, and like that that's the kind of people once
again you need around, bro, Like you know, you need
a good surrounding of people, brother, Like you know, unfortunately
or sometimes haters or sometimes people are like that's fine.

Speaker 7 (57:21):
You just got to keep pushing through, man. And I
know you guys been doing this ship for me. Manute brother.

Speaker 16 (57:24):
I remember like years back, ears back finding like same
thing with like Athos Man like glass, like there's a
gang of catcher that we we've been doing this ship.

Speaker 7 (57:33):
For a long time, bro, and like you know, I'm
thankful we're on here, bro, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
Yeah, speaking about Gloss, I was trying to get him
over here, but he's saucy right now. Yeah, he had
too much to drink and all that stuff.

Speaker 7 (57:44):
But that happens. It happens, ddee.

Speaker 1 (57:48):
He's all goods to get on and just talk ships.

Speaker 7 (57:51):
So he does. Man, it goes down, bro, you know,
like it's happened, man, And I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 16 (57:59):
I sure sometimes too where I've been really excited man,
and like you know, overdid my limit more than I
should have done, you know what I mean. And like
you know, there's boundaries to this ship. You know, you
gotta have discipline. You gotta make sure like things are correct, bro,
Like we want to get home safe. You don't want
to put others in thingser brother, like a lot of things. Man,
I'm not perfect, dude, Like you know what I mean,
because I've been in that same situation also, you know

(58:20):
what I mean. Like, so as long as we could
like forgive one another and make sure the heart is
intended for to be good, but like we we could.

Speaker 3 (58:27):
You got you got your wife your wife is gonna
be like you hold me.

Speaker 2 (58:29):
Down, bro.

Speaker 7 (58:30):
Yeah, Like, yo, what the fuck you doing?

Speaker 2 (58:32):
Man?

Speaker 16 (58:32):
She's like you're a public figure, man, Like what you're
doing your public figure?

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Like what you're doing over here? Man?

Speaker 3 (58:38):
Yeah, that's what's up to you guys.

Speaker 16 (58:39):
So you guys had a couple of people run through
over here like yeah, you guys gonna put this up and.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
Like, yeah, it'll be up on Spotify, iHeart everywhere.

Speaker 3 (58:49):
We would definitely tag you on it. Yeah yeah, I
mean so you can peep it out.

Speaker 7 (58:54):
You guys, put it on Spotify and all this.

Speaker 9 (58:55):
Ye, that's on Spotify, my heart Google. I'm pretty much
anywhere that you can pop.

Speaker 7 (59:00):

big time you guys.

Speaker 16 (59:03):
Man, I'm I'm happy for you guys, and that lets
me know, like man, like you guys are on the
right path. But like once again, we need those outlets
man tables for two. Like I seen y'all lately, like
the last few weeks and months out there grinding like
hip hop is out bro, Like it's active. I seen
you guys constantly out there staying consistent, dude, So that's
really dope.

Speaker 7 (59:20):
You guys got that going on.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
Man.

Speaker 3 (59:21):
Man, that's that's the key right there. Consistence.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
Yeah, you're doing it. The dream doesn't The dream doesn't
stop until my breathing stops.

Speaker 3 (59:28):

Speaker 3 (59:43):

Speaker 7 (59:46):
It goes Come on, man, we gotta work. Bro, that
goes down. That's what I tell my people.

Speaker 16 (59:50):
I was like, yo, man, the bills don't stop, bro,
Like the lights gotta stay young, like the bridge has.

Speaker 2 (59:54):
To have food.

Speaker 16 (59:55):

still still make time for what we up to do. Man,
Djane rapping whatever it is. Man, Man, I know I
don't want to keep you any longer.

we holding it down.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
We actually like got a lot of things that we needed,
and I think we we we there were there with
all the stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:05:30):
Man, yeah, I think I think we have some stuff
we might need to replant it, replanting some of the
stuff that we gave away. But other than that, I
think it was dope to see new people out here.
And then, you know, I felt good talking to people
that had no clue who we were and they just
wanted to know.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
You want the fun The fun thing was that everybody
was scanning that QR code.

Speaker 9 (01:05:50):

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
We got good reaction on that sign.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
Yea when we got that shit and I was like, yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:05:56):

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
What is that? What is that called the pool?

Speaker 11 (01:06:20):

He pulled up ship retractable sign.

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
You're gonna retractable sign, motherfucker.

Speaker 9 (01:06:27):
And then I do have that other case so if
we if we want to buy another one, we could
just buy another when we don't have to rush it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
But you brought it in too. Why didn't you bring
it in?

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
I didn't bring it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
You didn't bring it. What's that on the floor? What

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
He already said, yo.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
And I gave him a chance.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
I gave him a chance, but he felt for man.
But yeah, man, yo, I had that time. It was
a good experience. I seen a lot of new faces.
I seen a lot of old faces, and some of the.

But since we left and I guess they interviewed people
while we were gone, we only got the one interview
on video. So I mean it's just a trial run
to see what you're gonna you know, how to edit it,
see what we gotta do. How we're gonna sync up
the video because it's not as fun here if you
can't hear it, you know, I don't know if that
the video's got the audio very well. So we're gonna

have to sync clips and see if you know how
it's gonna work out.

Don't you're still at the same time, like you don't know,
like I could push it something to have a delay
and then you're if I mean, it's not too bad,
we can shift it over. But it's gonna be what
do we gotta do video editing, bringing lower thirds, adding graphics,
this and that, I know there's a way to do
it through the system, but we're tight on space here.

Speaker 7 (01:12:09):
You couldn't hook up the laptop to be next to it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:11):
Bring everything in so so so mad next time we
need a table from Yeah, all right, Sorry.
