Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's Talk Funny, a podcast by Mark Bailey and comics
from all over. We ended up in Japan because it's
just our nineteenth nervous break down. The Talk Funny podcast
from Nagoya Radio dot Com and Nagoia Comedy.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Here's Mark Bailey, Here's Mark Bailey.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Mark Bailey, Mike Miller, Talk Funny. Mike, I would like
to video this episode and then get your reaction and
then make that a video, and then I will watch
your reaction video, and then I'm gonna make a reaction video,
and You're gonna watch my reaction reaction video.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
And when do we watch these things? And why don't
I get things done? Mike?
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Why can't I be more productive because I'm watching reaction videos?
What do you think about reaction videos?
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Well, to be honest with you, I am. I am
not completely opposed to reaction videos as long as they're
providing something. For example, like if it's the same thing
with a film critic. If a film critic is watching,
like let's say directors director's cut, sometimes they have the
director's commentary. Right, You're watching the movie and the director
is telling you, okay, in this scene, this is what
(01:05):
we were trying to do and this thing happen or whatever.
If the person who's doing the react video is giving
you kind of interesting information about something, or giving you
background or something, then I can understand it being kind
of something that might be worth watching. But if the
guy's just going, oh my god, that's crazy. You know,
that's pretty low light, low hanging fruit.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Well, okay, we need to distinguish. There's two kinds of
reaction videos. I didn't know that you were going to
bring that one note. One of them is an accountant
watches Joe shank Redemption and how realistic is that? Right,
Tim Robbins, what's the accountant?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Those are experts. I call those expert videos. A lot
of that too, Yeah, expert videos. A martial arts artist
artist watches an action film and could tick said, that's
an expert opinion. Well, what I thought about with the
reaction videos is a black couple. I watched it because
the girl is so cute. They listen to hip hop
(01:59):
all the time, and then they watch a c DC.
She's really into it and it's fun to watch her,
and she's she's hot.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
It's I can now I'm kind of understanding why you
watch the video.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, yeah, it's eye candy. But then you got like
a guy who's a guitarist and he watches Prince for
the first time.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
That happen.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Prince played guitar. You never heard of him. He was black,
You never heard of him? I I you know, it's
like those are the reaction video sometimes.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
How does anyone who like who's a guitarist, how have
they not heard of Prince? Doesn't matter if you're black, white,
or any any other race. How have you not heard
of Prince?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
That's why I don't think these are real.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Are you saying there are videos on YouTube that are
not real? Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:43):
There's like, do you have two of them? There's two
of them? Have you checked?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Do you have any evidence to prove that Mark was
Sammy Gravano involved in that video production made all of them?
Do you have any proof that he was not in
that video production?
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Sammy Gravano pulled a gun on everybody and made him
make videos.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
And then whacked them all.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
But he was in his car. I don't know he
whack everybody. I never knew Simmy Gravano.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I never knew him.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
No, this reaction video is just like my pet Peeve.
I'm a drummer, as you know. And there's a site
called Drummio. It's a great sight. DRUMMEO comes from drummer
and Video and they are great tutorials and they're a nice,
polite Canadian gentleman running a studio and can't praise them enough.
I'm not criticizing them. But then they'll get on some artists,
(03:30):
some drummers, and I just you know, drummers are kind
of vain. You know me, I'm not vain. No, I'm
not vain. I'm a drummer, but I'm not vain. I'm
the least vain. A lot of people say, a lot
of people say I'm not vain.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Saying in Sammy Gravanald he said, you're not fained.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
A lot of people say a lot of people say,
I'm not vain. I'm the least vain. I mean, if
you had a contest and who was the least vain,
I would definitely win. I would definitely win it. I'm
definitely not vain. Drummers. Drummers are hot shots. We could
agree on that, and drummers are vain and DRUMMINGO. They'll
they'll show like a really great drummer from an established band,
(04:11):
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chests Smith.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I think it's Chad Smith or something. He looks like
exactly like with Will Ferrell. You only did a drum off.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, so chat Smith and he
looks like he's steroids. And but drummers are like, you know,
this is the way I played it, so this is
way it should be. But the original guy, Ringo played
it like this, which means Ringo is right because that's
the way Ringo did it on a Tuesday, and that's
the way it is. But I never heard that, So
(04:40):
so they get really you know, offended. It's like, well
he did that, yeah, because he had more symbols. Ringo
didn't have double drums. He couldn't double kakes exactly all right, anyway,
so they have drummoh, and they'll have a hard rock
drummer from like used to be in Deep Purple. And
here's he'll hear Metallica. You ever heard this song?
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I never heard this.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
You're a hard rock drummer, Okay, I'm a drummer. I
listened to everything. I listened to jazz, I listen to rock,
I listened to country, Anne Murray, I listened to everything
I teach drums now and I listen to everything I'm
trying to learn. I'm trying to learn. I don't believe
that you've never heard of John Bonham, John Bonham from
the Supplan what's his name, John johnam John Bonham.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
This is fake. It's fake.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
So it's like, Mike, I'm up enough, Bill Maher. We
have some other lists of reaction videos that you might
want to watch.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Were you interested to hear those? No, not at all.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Actually, let's just move on.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Could I ask you again? Of course? Go ahead?
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Well anyway, well, there's an Elvis impersonator on video, the
reaction video and Elvis impersonator.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Here's Elvis for the first time. I like that.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
We have more you want to hear? Ye, well, maybe
reaction video. Paul McCartney, here's a Beatles song for the
first time.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
We had another one. And Neanderthal here's drums for the
first time.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
We went back in time for that one.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
So reaction video. A deaf person learns sign language for
the first time. A puppy p's on the carpet for
the first time. Reaction video, reaction videos, reaction videos.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Donald Trump lies for the.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
First for the first time for the first time for
everything a mass murderer, here's screams for the first time.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Would you like to watch this?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Like my son said, you're taping all your work and
your comedy shows and your English cosses when you're going
to watch this, Like Mike, you keep reacting to things
that happened to videos when you're gonna do something. Yeah,
all right, let's thought some reaction videos. We're gonna have
a reaction video about our reaction to reaction videos.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
To reaction videos, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Well yeah, I mean, uh, it's a genre, I guess,
but we will say.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
A mob guy watches a Mafia movie for the first
time and he's like, wait, am I in this? It's
like not interesting, not funny. It's like you're watching a
reaction video. And I think the only reason the only
ones I watched was there's a very cute African American
room and I love to watch her just like chill.
(07:43):
She just like dances to AC and DC. It's very hot.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
And to her left is her husband teach name. I
don't really care so much about what.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Next it's gonna because you hate man, right, Yeah, her
nipple reaction, her nipple reaction.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I appreciate you've already seen that video.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
