Tatiane Spitzner was a Brazilian woman who was murdered by her husband, Luiz Marcelo Spitzner, on July 22, 2018 in Guarapuava, Brazil. According to reports, Tatiane was beaten, strangled, and thrown out of a window by her husband in a domestic violence incident. Her death prompted widespread outrage and protests in Brazil, which has one of the highest rates of femicide in the world. Luiz Marcelo Spitzner was arrested and charged with murder.
