After the PICU: Understanding Post ICU Trauma in Kids

When a child faces a life threatening illness or injury, we often assume that they have "recovered" when they leave the ICU, the hospital or graduate from follow up. For many kids and families, however, the traumatic stress of an ICU stay or a life threatening illness or injury lingers, with families often searching for help and answers in how to best support their child.
