2022 Mental Health Red Alert: What Every Parent Must Know to Save their Kids from becoming Part of a Death Statistics! - Dr FumiPsychDNP

Understanding Suicidal Ideation.
Since the surge of COVID19 in late 2019 till today, there is a high number of kids, from ages 4 to young adults struggling with mental illness. Many are experiencing suicidal thoughts and ideations. There is an increased rate in kids "self-harm" as well as "eating disorder"

Medline Plus- Approximately 20 percent of teens will experience depression before they reach adulthood. Between 10 to 15 percent of teenagers have some symptoms of depression at any one time.

Women are nearly twice as likely as men to be diagnosed with depression. Depression can occur at any age. Some mood changes and depressed feelings occur with normal hormonal changes.

In my practice, 5 out of 7 kids0 young adults who walk in are dealing with suicidal ideations/ thoughts and have attempted.

It is time that parents start to take extra steps in watching their children. We cannot take this lightly!

This recording is dedicated to the kids- young adults I serve in Arizona. They need a voice and I have chosen to be that voice.
