Prior to becoming an author, Don spent a decade serving in the Army as an Apache Helicopter pilot. During that time he was stationed all over the world in places like Texas, Germany, and South Korea. He's also been deployed to Afghanistan where he served as a Troop Commander. Following his time in the Army, Don went on to join the FBI as a Special Agent and a member of the Dallas office's SWAT team. Now he's a full-time author and has written books for his own Matt Drake series, the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan, Jr. series, and now the Vince Flynn Mitch Rapp series. And Don's first book in the Mitch Rapp series, Capture or Kill, is now on shelves!
In this episode, Don tells us about his time in the Army and shares his insights on military leadership. He also talks about Capture or Kill, and what readers have in store with this Mitch Rapp story. Furthermore, we discuss pursuing what you want to achieve in life and not letting failures and setbacks stop you!
