Code true Crime. Hello everyone, and welcome to Monster Madness, a podcast
dedicated to all sorts of creature features. On this show, we will be

(01:03):
discussing the supernatural, the undead, giants, aliens, and even sometimes humans,
because let's face it, people canbe garbage. This podcast is hosted
by not one, not two,but three people and the point of this
episode is to introduce ourselves to you. My name is Eric Igwin. I've

(01:23):
been podcasting for a few years nowand have been a part of quite a
few shows. I have a truecrime pod called The Apex and the Abyss
that I host myself. I helpresearch on a missing persons show called The
Vanished. I do purposefully bad photoshopart for a podcast called The Cast and
the Furious, and I have guestsspotted on a show called The Podcast of
Terror with Corey Scott and Matt Stein. So, my fellow hosts and I

(01:47):
love horror movies and came up withthe idea for this show based on that
simple fact alone. We talk aboutthem all the time, so we figured,
why not record ourselves talking about them? Maybe other people would like that
too, And then the ideas justkept bawling. But before we dive into
the details of the show, let'smeet the other hosts. Matt take it
away, But yeah, I'm theother one, one of the other ones,

(02:09):
Matt's nine. I actually co hostthe show the aforementioned Cast and Furious
with a friend of mine, MattVincent. I also host co host Podcast
of Terror. I like long walkson the beach too, candle at dinners,
anything, pumpkin spice, I'm chocolates. I love white claws because they're

(02:32):
refreshing when it's hot out and it'shot where I live for six weeks,
and I've been podcasting for like thirteenyears, actually not quite ten nine ten
a lot. Yeah, Wow,you learned something today. I did.
Okay, Dan, you're up.I'm Darren Gwyn, the third host of
the Monster Podcast. For me,this is the first podcast have I've been

(02:54):
on. I'm a big fan ofkayak, fishing, craft, beers and
watching monster movies and discussing them withfriends, and that's us. So let's
dive into what the show actually isgoing to be so you have an idea
of what you're in for. EachMonday on Monster Madness, we plan on
covering the good, the bad,the obscure, and movies you have never

(03:14):
even heard of. On each episode, we will dissect the movie from start
to finish, and then we willtell you if we recommend it or not.
We will also have a game portionto each episode. Once we wrap
up the film discussion, I willprovide the questions and Matt and Dan will
go head to head each week tosee who will win the glorious bragging rights.
We'd also like to note that MonsterMadness seasons will each have some sort

(03:35):
of theme. For instance, ourfirst season of episodes will feature universal monster
movies and their modern counterparts, ormovies that were inspired by the classics.
But we will also break from thatmold every so often to talk about new
movies in the theaters, and ofcourse our holiday specials. But speaking of
specials, that brings me to myfinal talking point feature at Fridays. Every

(03:55):
so often, we will release bonuscontent on Fridays that will showcase a written
work such as a book, comic, graphic novel, a video game,
or an interview from someone within thehorror community. These episodes maybe short or
long, depending on the topic, but our goal is to cover the horror
genre across the entire spectrum, fromthe silver screen TV to a written work,
and with that, I think thatjust about covers everything. Now that

(04:19):
you've met all of us, wereally hope that you continue to tune in
each week. You can also findus on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
Maybe I'll make an untapped Dan andI like to drink beer, so maybe
maybe you can find us on allthose platforms. Monster Madness Pod. You
can email the show up Monster MadnessPod at gmail dot com. Otherwise,

(04:40):
we really hope that you continue tocome back. Thanks guys,
