What can you say about Ed Marinaro? He finished 2nd in the Heisman trophy voting in 1971. He was drafted and played in Minnesota. He went on to play professional football for six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks, appearing in Super Bowl VIII and Super Bowl IX with the Vikings. He scored 13 touchdowns over his career. When he retired from football he became an actor. He is known as a regular cast member on Hill Street Blues, playing Officer Joe Coffey for five seasons . He has been a cast member on a number of television series, including Laverne & Shirley and Sisters. Now he lives in Charleston SC and plays golf. The perfect end to a perfect life.
