recording artist two Lane Summer here on the Backstage Past.
What's up, Fellas?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
How you doing man?
Speaker 4 (00:46):
What's up Brandon Man?
Speaker 3 (00:47):
We're just still, like I said, every another day putting
out some great shows and of course all the singles
we're going to talk about today available across all the
digital streaming platforms. I got to know first out and Chris,
I'll start right here. I got to know how this
thing for man, Because so you guys just sign the
record deal to mentioned there at the top with Court
Chill Records. I love it. Fantastic sounds. We're gonna get
to Eyes the Daint George, the wedding version, which is
across all those DSPs. Man. But first of all, congratulations
(01:11):
on the record deal for you and Joe and talk
about just this backstory and how you guys met, how
you formed, and how you came up with the name
too late summer Man.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
First of all, thanks for having us. We appreciate you
for bringing us out here on the show. But Joey
and I we were writing, and you know, we were
doing our own artistry and our own personal themes and
releasing music of that nature. And dude, we met writing downtown,
(01:40):
like we bumped into each other just writing downtown in
the writing room, and we started harmonizing and singing together
and we were like, dude, it's something to this, like
maybe we should do this more. And we started writing
more and then we started posting videos on social media
and it just grew from there, man, and we were like, dude,
maybe we should do this like for real and and
(02:02):
you know, see what happens.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
And as far as too late.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
Summer, the name I think Joe wife Macy she started
that saw le Joe take over and talk about that
how that came about, but it was it's a really
cool story, Joe.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
If you want to take over with.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
That, yeah, I can jump off of what you got.
My I remember we were at the point where we
were kind of getting some good traction on social media.
We were posting some mashups and stuff that people really
started resonating with, and so we kind of got to
a place where we were like, all right, we should
probably have, you know, our own social media page, and
(02:37):
we got to come up with a name. So we
were just kicking around a few names that you know,
we went through some some questionable ones looking back, but uh,
I remember we just tried to put our heads together
and my wife throughout the idea two lane, and we
love that. So we originally we're just gonna do two lane,
and uh I think somebody already had that handle. So
(02:59):
we were started kicking around more ideas and then we
just kept coming back to two Lane, and then finally
our manager asked.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
He was like, hey, y'all, what if it's two lane Summer.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
It just clicked from there, and you know, we like
the abbreviation of it, you know, two ls, and it
seemed super marketable. And you know it's interesting too because
it kind of took on a deeper meaning. You know,
as we started going kind of what Chris was saying,
like we were running parallel tracks in Nashville, writing and
doing our artist's career and we met the summer of
(03:35):
twenty twenty two, so it was in a way, man,
God kind of just merged our two individual lanes into one.
And that happened in June, So it kind of took
on a deeper meaning the more we, you know, thought
about it.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
I love that story, Like I said, how two guys
can come together and just make the great sounds that
you guys have talk about just those early musical memories.
Was it church, Was it a collection of CDs for
the both of you? Was it something family influenced, something
you picked up on your own, you know, over the
course of the years. Talk about that and how that
kind of blended into the artists that you guys are today.
(04:09):
Chris will start with.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
You, well, man, I grew up in church in my
entire family like scenes and.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Wasn't involved in church.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
So like ever since I was a little kid, I
would sing in church and I will also played the drums,
the piano, and later on I picked up the guitar.
But it was just something that you know, came natural
with me being in the choir and just always singing
harmonies and things of that nature. And so when I
left Go with Joe, it was just like, you know,
(04:39):
perfect and it nothing felt forced.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
It all felt like it was meant to be.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
And Joe for you kind of where did that that
track record kind of go?
Speaker 1 (04:47):
For?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
That? Was it? Church? Kind of family oriented collection of CDs?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
A little bit of both, you know, in an odd way,
pretty similar to Chris. I grew up playing in the
church as well. I remember my brother and I friend
we started our churches like worship band, and so that's
kind of how I got my chops for you know,
I started on drums and then obviously learned guitar and singing.
And just a quick sidebar about Chris, dude, you know,
(05:12):
he's an exceptional musician and so like both of us
when people ask we play keys, drums, singing guitar. I
think Chris does a little bass as well. So like
just being in this church atmosphere that allowed us to
cultivate that love for performing and love for instruments was
kind of what birthed, you know, those those seeds for
(05:33):
wanting to pursue that. But I think for me it
was influences, and I think I speak for Chris as well,
like early you know, Rascal Flats and Keith Urban for me,
a little bit of Alan Jackson and Randy Travis and
like on the church side, you know, like artists like
Chris Tomlin, and then we're some pretty big influences for me.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
So I love the music here and we're gonna start
with this one here, Chris, because I think it's just
a great song for a lot of people out there too.
It does a lot of things. This is the song
we're gonna play in a little bit eyes the nature
is the wedding version. Of course. It came out here
in early the early part of January, across all those DSPs.
How did this one get started? Always love to hear
and just fascinated by the backstory of songs and of
course the writing with the lyrics you know, really mean
(06:17):
something and touch somebody and resonate with the fans out there.
And this has really been a big tune for you guys,
both the wedding version of it and of course the
actual song itself.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah, man, believe it or not.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
That was actually the first song Joy and I wrote
with our buddy John Marlin and Dustin James. That was
the first time we got in the room and rebroke together,
and it was Oys That Ain't Yours. Joe had the title,
and we were like, we wanted to write something that
women can resonate with. You know, you might think you're
(06:49):
not perfect, you might always think you have to put
that makeup on, but you know, you don't.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
You know, it's simple sometimes, you know. We just wanted
the women.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
To know that no matter what you're going through, no
matter how you feel in that moment, you are loved
and you might not see yourself the way you know
you think you see, but if you can see yourself
through my eyes, like baby, you're amazing.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
You're wanted a million.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
And Joe for you. I mean, that song just really
speaks to the ladies out there too, no doubt, especially
that wedding version. I'm not surprised if people have not already,
if they're going to, or if they have put this
on their playlist. For a lot of reasons, especially new
bride new grooms out there. This could be a first
dance type song the way that I got the feel
of it out of the gate to a little bit.
(07:33):
If I was just getting married. I've be married about
fourteen years, but this would be one that I could
probably like coordinate or choreograph like a slow dance too,
if I was out there in front of all my
you know, peers and friends and everybody in like a
wedding party. Give me a take Joe on this one here, man,
because what a just what a beautiful song to get
out to the masses.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Man.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, and congratulations, by the way, fourteen years of marriage.
That's something really special, dude, So kudos to you. That's
really awesome.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
I think Chris Nail did it on the head. I mean,
this was in a shocking way.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
This this song has definitely raised its hand out of
all the ones we've put out, and you know, like
even when we go play shows, we'll notice this is
the one that people will have their phones out for
and then they'll be singing the lyrics, which is like
crazy Chris and I because it felt like it was
just yesterday.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
You know.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
We wrote that twenty twenty two, I believe, and it
felt like it was just yesterday when we were in
that writing room, you know, just messing around on the
guitars and trying to like flush out melodies and stuff.
But you know, it's definitely taken on a nature of
its own, and people are really connect with it, and
I think I think that's something special that that Chris
(08:42):
and I offer and bring to the to the table.
Is like we just want to spearhead you know, positivity,
and you know there's so much negativity and darkness out there.
We just want to be a reminder of people who listen, Like,
like Chris was saying, like you are specially you know,
you're made in the image of God, and it's like
we just want to be a light for people.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
People.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
This song seems like it's been the vehicle that's far
for us to do that. So it's been really really
special to Chris and I.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Well it's a special song too, and of course we're
gonna play it right now here. KKTC True Country ninety
nine point nine in Tallas, New Mexico. Out there too,
powered by the Sports Guys podcast dot com. It's two
Lane Summers and of course the first track we're gonna
play eyes to Dain't cheers here. It is the wedding
version on the Backstage Pass exclusive KKTC True Country ninety
nine point nine. Back in the Flash, Stay tuned.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
You don't like the way that your jean's been fitning,
can't find a thing with you.
Speaker 7 (09:45):
Don't like your hair. You say you can do nothing
with it. But I would listen to that girl in.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
The mirror because I think she's lying you. You dude,
cuts from my poem.

that across all the DSPs. I love it so much.
We've talked a lot about it too. Just what a
great version of it I get across those digital streaming
platforms out there too. And of course the new single
we'll talk about here in just a little bit is
of course out there across all the DSPs. God made
(13:47):
you featuring the Cure in the Light and uh Happy
Valentine's Dates everybody out there across all the digital streaming
platforms and in radio land listening on the Sports Guys
podcast dot com. I gotta go back a little bit,
Joe to this one, because I'll I loved it last
year first Dancing. I want all about this too, and
tell me about it.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
This was a rare song for Chris and I because
you know, Chris has been writing in Nashville for ten years.
I've been writing in Nashville for seven years, and so
you get a pretty good idea of, you know, just
the way of the business when you're writing songs. You
know some days you're not going to get the best songs.
And then you have days like the day we wrote
(14:25):
First Dancing, where like it fell.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
Right out out of the sky.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
It was like all I remember from that day was
like when we had that title and we had some
music playing and the lyrics just fell out. It was
like a very quick that we ended up getting the
song done and we just got like chills, like the
whole time we were writing there and we were just
(14:50):
it felt like somebody would throw a line out and
then we would just all get fired up, and then
two more lines would fall out, and very quickly we
had like a rough demo of it done and we
turned it in and they were fired up about it,
and we just knew we had something special on our hands.
So yeah, it was one of those crazy, crazy days
(15:11):
in the writing room where it just like literally just
fell into your lap and you just try not to
screw it up.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
We'll put your best foot forward to let the work
do the talking, no doubt about it. Let's go back
to one last March. I can't believe we're saying even
twenty twenty four is gone, but here we are twenty
twenty five. Chris love this one way out here. I
love the fact is I always look to look at album
covers and artwork and things like that. Man, what a
good photoshoot man to bring out kind of like you said,
it's way out here. It really explains that title. You
(15:39):
guys are walking kind of in a field. I love
that just looking at that particular artwork out there. And
what a hell of a song, Chris.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
That's how that song came about. Man.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
You know, living in the country, this is how we talk.
You know, we raise our flag high. You know, we
bleed red, white and blue. So we wanted to make
a song for all of our country fans out there,
die hard.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
And I love that one, Joe, because it really brought
out what Too Lane Summer again was all about. To
that down home blue collar workers. Somebody out there that
knows the small towns, they can kind of, you know,
talk about that and go in, you know, maybe have
a job that's you know, eight to eight, maybe do
shift to work, maybe just eight to five, maybe banker hours,
you never know, but you know, when they get off,
it's like, you know what, We're gonna go home, take
care of our family, make dinner, eat around the table,
(16:23):
have a cold beer, turn the TV on. But you
never forget your roots. Joe and kind of where you
come from and way out here maybe kind of feel
that way.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Too, absolutely, And I think, you know, that's another part
of our set list when we're playing our shows, and
always I think gets Chris and I, you know, homesick
when we're traveling.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
A whole bunch.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
It's like, I mean, at least I speak to myself.
I'm sure Chris feels the same way. But like when
we play that song, just singing about you know, where
we grew up and stuff, it's just hard not to
feel homesick. But yeah, it's a special song, and we
just wanted to connect with, like sad, all of our
die hard country fans and just let them know like, hey,
(17:03):
we see you and we love the country just as
much as y'all do.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
So keep pulling it down for us out there, you know.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Yeah, you have to hold it down, no doubt. Somebody's
gotta do that too, Chris. I want to dive into
a little bit of songwriting here because I've had a
lot of great producers and songwriters on this very program,
and of course a lot of those various people help
artists such as yourselves get to the top and rise,
and of course you got to have the song first
before somebody can record it. Chris, talk about just songwriting,
and I'll get Joe's take on this. You guys mentioned
(17:31):
you've been writing a lot in Nashville, some big hits
out there, you know for some big artists. Talk about
just take me to the school, Chris, a little bit
of songwriting and what goes into your playbook.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I try and be honest and peer when I songwrite.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
I try and write, you know, what the listener wants
to hear, what they want to feel.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
So I try and.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
Put my heart into it and make sure I'm being
selfless and not you.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Know, writing what I want to write.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
And I think that's how, you know, the magic and
the good songs come out, because you're writing what the
listener wants to hear, what the fans want to hear,
not what I want to say. You know, I'm writing
what everybody wants to hear to encourage them and to
let them know that hey, it's not it's a lot
of negativity out here, but guess what, it's some people
(18:23):
out there that's speaking positivity into your life. And I
just want to be a light and I want my
songs to uplift people and to bring them joy. So
that's my process in my mindset when I write.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Songs, and Joe kind of along those same lines, I guess,
the honesty, the truth, just kind of being yourself and
putting out lyrics Joe for songwriting fans can relate.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
To absolutely, And you know, I think that's something you
always want to be mindful of because I think transparency
is the key to connecting with people's hearts. And so
I know Chris and I are both very mindful of
that when we go in and you know, it's funny,
you know, it doesn't look like a nine to five,
(19:07):
you know, sitting in an office kind of job from
the outside, but it's.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
A lot of hard work.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
And I know Chris and I both we do a
lot of preparation for our rights. You know, We're always
thinking of titles, and we're always thinking of you know,
like musical grooves and stuff. And also too, man, the
cool thing about Nashville is that it's such a creative,
collaborative town. So I mean half the battle as well
is just surrounding yourself with people that you work well with.
Speaker 11 (19:37):
And so.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
I would I would attribute a lot of our.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Success with songwriting to just putting in the work, preparing
ahead of time, then also being able to surround ourselves
with people that you know, pull us the best out
of us and out of each other when we're in
a room. So yeah, but man, ultimately, at the end
of the day, it's we love doing it, and honestly,
it's one of the most enjoyable parts of our job,
is just getting able to sit with our buddies and
(20:07):
just create something out of nothing. So we are so
thankful we get to do it every day. And on
top of that, we're grateful people you know, actually enjoy
listening to it. So it's equally a blessing to Chris
and I no.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Doubt, and I can't wait to get to a two
lane summer concert out there. Maybe drive the bus, have
a little fun out there, pull up in the I say,
the motor home RV whatever the technical term is there,
and just have a two lane summer packstage pass party
before they hit the stage. You never know, it's just
one of the things. Let's go, they say, don't threaten
me with a good time and get all the music
(20:41):
today on this Valentine's Day is available digital streaming platforms

the Light did on this song.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
Man, dude, it was incredible.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
I remember the first time that our producer Ash Bauer
sent us the first mix on his rap and it
took our breath away.
Speaker 14 (26:16):
Man.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
He's Kieran is so talented and he's got such a
loyal fan base, Dude that it was kind of a
no brainer for us to work together. And Dude, I
mean it's got some, you know, a little bit of
everything for everybody. It's got that you know, Christian centered lyric,
but it's also still got you know, a hip hop
feel that something you might hear in the club.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
So I think people are really going to enjoy it.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
I tell you, Chrissy hit the nail the head right there.
What Joe did an excellent song, and you know Here
in the Light brings it too, like no pun intended
there too at the same time, but always great to
work and collaborate in the business and put other great
artists with a song you're trying to release to the
public to feel it authenticity.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Chris, Yeah, man, it was. It was great.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
We had a blast with Karen Man he was he
was awesome, and it felt like it was one of
those things that was just once again just felt natural,
you know. And and let me let me say this
really quickly. We wanted to write that song for every
woman to know like you're special and that women are the.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Greatest gifts given to men. I believe that.
Speaker 5 (27:23):
So that's why we wrote Baby. That's why God made you,
you know, God made women to to be with men,
you know, So that's why we wrote the song.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Man.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Well, let me be the first Joe to say amen
to that too. For you both of you guys, no
doubt about that. Uh, growing up in a church, love
it so much and uh we couldn't do it well
in our beautiful lives. And of course all the sacrifices
they make out there too, and all the ladies across
all the entire world out there too. You mean so
much to us out there. And it's a song like
that that really brings out your true colors. Joe, I
(27:53):
will go to this one too, because I loved it
when it came out last October until the day that
I got this one, did Joe this of the day
that I died? What a song? Dude?
Speaker 4 (28:02):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Uh, this one I think is uh man again, Like
I feel like all these love songs, you know, are
just extensions of what Chris and I really feel for
the lady in our life. And so like, you know,
there's nothing we wouldn't do for the people we love.
And and you know, I think this is an anthem
that you know, any guy can crank up.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
And you know, our hope is that.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
The one it would encourage the men out there, ah
to really lay down their life, you know, for their girl,
whether it's you know, their girlfriend or their wife. And
you know, also, just like Chris said, remind you know
the women out there that uh, you know, they're.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
Worth dying for.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
And so we hope it encourages you know, both both
men and women. And uh, it's just a declaration honestly
of you know, love and passion. So we're we relate
to this song very much.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Yeah, I know, and Chris I love the fact that
we just passed the holidays there in November. Hoever, we've
had a great Christmas, and of course happy new you're
getting off to you a great start for all the
listeners out there too. But I love the version Chris
of this one Country Christmas. This really put it for
me and I had to add it to my playlist
so like my daughter could sing it and then we
could kind of go through all the fun stuff for
what we're gonna do for the holidays and all the travel,
(29:24):
and it was just fun to kind of add Country
Christmas to the playlist. And if people haven't done it,
I encourage him to do it.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:32):
Man, we wanted to write something that was fun, and
because we know, like just being in the country and
leaving out here in the country, you know, everybody Christmas
it looks different, you know. So at my house, you know,
we have the turkey, the ham, the catfish, the collar greens.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
You know.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
At Joe's house, he might have the Filet mignon, the stakes,
you know, so and at your house you might have
something different. So we're like, man, you know out here
in the country, everybody, you know, everybody has a different Christmas.
So We just want to wish everybody have you a
country Christmas, have yourself a country Christmas.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
So that's how we came up with that one. Man,
it's a fun one for us.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
I love it. It's got it's like an anthem too
as well. Everybody does something a little bit different out there.
Variety is the spice of life out there. I want
to have a little fun with both of you here too.
You know. I got this question the other day and
it was kind of a cool thing so that we
have all this fun stuff when it comes up. Now
with this WWE, Joe and I'll start with you on
this one too, so it's gonna be fun. I actually
(30:32):
got this one from good buddy Christian Bush sugar Land.
We did a radio show there a few weeks back,
and we're talking about his beard and it just happened
to be one of the best looking beards in country
music that he had. He reminded me Joe a little
bit of Triple H and the WWE. He used to
be a wrestler and now is like a CEO executive
of the company. So my question and Chris, I'm coming
(30:54):
to you on this a second, but Joe, I gotta
start with this. If there's a single country artist you
could wrestle in country music. We got the ring for you,
we talked you to choreography. Hell, I'm out there doing
play by play for it. I'd love to do that too,
Like start the first backstage past wrestling tournament, somebody to
wrestle in country music, Joe, and they teach you all
(31:15):
the moves in a ring. What band or what solo artists?
Or you could have a tag team match with Chris?
Who would you pick him? What would be your finishing moves?
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Dude, honestly, that's a great question. I honestly, would you know?
Speaker 4 (31:30):
I think I would go.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
I think I could wrestle Rascal Flats, Okay, take one
on three. I think I think they can each teach
me a little something. Yeah, yeah, if they were teach me.
I feel like if I had to wrestle, maybe Keith
Urban because like that was one of my biggest influences.
But like, I don't care if you would like kick
my butt because like I get to wrestle one of
my biggest favorite artists.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Though I probably say Keith Urtan.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
Chris will oppose it to you, now, who would you
wrestle could be a tag match for you and Joe.
They teach you everything you need to know. I'm doing
play by play for this. We provide the ring. I've
got some w w E context. I would love to
make this happen too. But in fact, one of my
best friends is Mickey James, her husband Nick All. This
is like the GM of the Friday Night show SmackDown.
(32:16):
But I would love to get in there and just
kind of like talk to Triple H about doing that
first WWE backstage pass, Like bring the ring, teach you
what you need to know, Chris, and like who would
you who would you and Joe Russell as a tag match?
Chris Chris? Or who would you wrestle in country music?
Out there as a a solo performer?
Speaker 1 (32:34):
I would say probably Chris Young. That's a buddy of ours, okay,
and and and he's just an awesome guy and I
love his stuff. I love his music. I would probably
say Chris Young.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
He seems like he could he could, you know, throw
a heavy punch, but I would end him with the
roundhouse kick.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
There you go.
Speaker 11 (32:54):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
You know what's the second out house kick I've had
in the last few weeks. Yeah, I told Christian, I said, yeah,
you're getting credit for that here on the backstage pass
Christian Bush what happened Sugarland came up with a great
question there too, and of course that the beard look
exactly like ww CEO triple HS. All right, Joe, let's
stay in the sports category because wrestling has kind of
had sports entertainment. I love that favorite teams college or pro? Joe,
(33:22):
who do you root for?
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Man, that's a great question. I would say I'm a
Titans fan through and through. I would say I'm equally close.
Second is Eagles, so you know I'm pumped about Super Bowl.
And then obviously, you know from Chicago Land area, got
of Cubs, so.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Oh, you hit a nerve there, Joe. All right, Cubs,
So I'm an Astros fan down here. You got two
recent acquisitions and Kyle Tucker and Ryan Presley, so it's
kind of become the farm system of the Astros for
the off season to provide two great players we want
to cheampionship with in twenty twenty two. So give me
some Cubs expectations. As were just a few weeks now
out from spring training and starting this twenty twenty five season,
(34:08):
Joe any predictions for the Cubs.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
DD, I feel like they got a bright future.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
I will say I watched them, you know, you know,
I watched them back in college win the World Series,
and so I feel like I've had a hopeful spirit
for them ever since then.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
But I don't know.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
I don't know if we'll ever get to the World
Series again. But I'm just glad I got to see
it in my lifetime.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
See here with me. I saw two of them. And
they say what they want about twenty seventeen being an
Astros fan, but twenty twenty two, it's there, It's legit,
it's in living color, and then nobody can take away
those trophies from you, all right, Chris will stay with
us favorite teams in the sports college pro. Who are
you root for?
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Oh Man?
Speaker 5 (34:49):
My favorite team the Chiefs, Dude, I love my homes.
I love the NY City Chiefs. I think he's amazing.
I know that's not popular team, but that's that's the
team I've been rooting for since Alex Smith days, so
when he was the quarterback. So I love that team.
And I love the Los Angeles Lakers. I grew up
(35:10):
watching Kobe Bryant having that Mamba mentality. That's something I
applied to my life, and that's the team I've always,
you know, loved growing up, so Lakers and the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Man all right, I like that Mamba mentality too because
they're one of the greatest NBA players of all time too.
And definitely Man gone too soon, God rest his soul.
And definitely again that statue outside that Staple Center or
whatever it's known as now whatever sponsor purchased that. So
it's a great place to watch a concert and watch
a bunch of games out there too, out there in
Los Angeles, one of my favorite cities out there too. Right,
(35:43):
we'll finish with this one, Joe, we'll go back to you.
Nashville's no stranger when it comes to restaurants. I always
love to eat for foodies here on this show and
of course everybody that I know, for all the great
artists that have done my show, but no stranger restaurants
in Nashville. I gotta try this bar taco. Have you
had it? Is it good.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
Bar taco?
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (36:02):
I have authentic, that's all said, very authentic.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
Give me some other places you like to go out
when it comes to to take out, Joe.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Oh dude, Well, I know this is so cliche, but
my wife and I are like diehard Chick fil A fans.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
I know that's so cliche. There are so many is
so many.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Like great restaurants in Nashville, but went in doubt, we're
going to Chick fil A. But if I had to pick,
you know, a restaurant in Nashville, I would probably say
Virago have some of the best sushi I've ever had, so,
uh you know, of course that's right next to a
Cane Prime steakhouse and uh you know you can get
(36:52):
like steak on your sushi and stuff. So like that's
our bread and butter man for my wife and I.
We love Rago.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
I like, I love to try that too, all right, Chris,
same question. We'll go there favorite restaurants Nashville, Tennessee, and
I'm gonna th little Curveball here with it. I finally
settled my hot chicken debate. Chris. It's Hattie Bees for
me over the Princes. And I only tried those two.
And know there's others like Party Foul and some other
ones out there, but for the top two people told
me to try. Chris, it was Hattie Bees for me
like like hands down. So for you, what restaurants, Chris
(37:26):
do you like to eat at?
Speaker 5 (37:27):
Man Haidi Bees that's a great one. Party Foul is
also good. Prince's Chicken it's, oh my god, it's incredible.
So that's a hard choice. But man, I normally go
with sold food. So I'm going with QC's Kitchen. It's downtown.
It's they have yams, mac and cheese, stuffed chicken, cabbage,
(37:48):
collar greens. So if you're looking for sold food, QC
Kitchen it's a gem in Nashville. Also, if I'm going
like Italian food, I like Maggiono's it's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
My Giono's, I guess that's like standard. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
But if you want like a hole in a wall place,
man Helen's chicken, Oh my god, Helen's chicken, you got
you should try that one. If you like chicken, Helen's chicken,
it's it's so good.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
I will definitely give that a shot. Especially that soul food.
You struck a nerd with that one too when it
comes down to it. So the soul food is something
I like the collar of greens, like the country Christmas
thing we all do something different out there, So we're
going to get our veggie on during CRS one of
the evenings before we get lost in some other type
of entertainment out there. After all the good stuff at
