(00:57):
on the backstage Pass. So tell you what she's everywhere,
and it's good chance to connect with I say ogs.
We call her an og because you started with us
back in what twenty twenty We started this thing thing
called the backstage Past, the one of the only Brandley
Brown to the show. Brindley, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Hey, I'm so happy to be here and to be back.
It's been been a minute, so we got a lot
to catch up on.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
We sure did before the show. And there's a lot
to catch up on the music too now because I
love this. It's a whole new error for you too,
and really bringing in that spiritual side of things and
that when I say holy music, and we all need
a little bit of God in our life. Coming up
these days the new EP sanctuary across all the digital
streaming platforms tell us all about this and really for you,
you know, Christian and country mix so well today and

(01:41):
like I said, spreading the word of the Lord, the
gospel things out there, no matter what denomination is, we all,
you know, pray to a higher power. Talk about just
the transformation if you will, from what was back the
nd we knew his country now to more of your sound.
It really feels like you've you found the way to
present your music to the fans.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, honestly, it's it's been a journey and I'm grateful,
grateful to be here. I you know, growing up, I
grew up in Apple Valley, California. I grew up in
the High Desert, and my dad introduced me to so
much traditional country music.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I grew up listening to.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Waylon Jennings and Emulu Harris, Merle Haggard, the Highwaymen, and
so really was heavily influenced by just the roots of
country music, the outlaw country music, just incredible storytelling. You know,
fell in love with the sound of a steel guitar
at five years old. And but my mom introduced me
to a lot of gospel growing up, and that was

(02:39):
always just really infiltrated, just always playing in our house.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
And so I think those voices. I always just had
a love for both genres of music.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
And as I began writing, you know, as a young girl,
and then eventually moved to Nashville and started writing even
more and just becoming more and more, you know, a
part of the community here now still in the writing community,
I found there's so much overlap with faith and country music,
and it just really began to be a burden on
my heart of how can I you know, combine my

(03:12):
two loves, my love for Jesus, my faith being, you know,
the most important thing in my life, what drives me,
what sustains me, but also my love for just country music,
storytelling the roots of it, what it represents, you know,
in music. And so it's been honestly an incredibly fun
process to write this music, you know, as you said,

(03:34):
kind of this new era for me, and this record
has just been, i think something that I've really wanted
to dig into for a long time, but kind of felt,
you know.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
On the on the edge of is it gonna need.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
To lean more country, you know, for for what the
industry standards are, is it needing to really dig into
Christian But it's been so awesome to dig into this
and be able to fully be who I am, you know,
in a full capacity as an artist. And so it's
been a really honestly freeing process to write these songs.
So I'm really excited for people to hear them.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
We're definitely gonna spread that word here and spread that
gospel here on the show here, Bodie backstage past, there
was one that came out there in twenty twenty, probably
the last time we had talked here. I love this
EP with story states. This was beautiful. One more Hallelujah
was on that record too, and I love that I
mentioned that whole you know, get that beginning sound you
moved to Nashville. You kind of told that story to
us here on the show. But something's very special in

(04:32):
that connection because there were so many great songs off
that EP. What do you remember best about just putting
out that that body of work?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Man, you know, it's so cool.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
I think sometimes as artists we can look back at
projects we've done, and you know, in the moment, it feels,
you know, there's so much pressure for it to be right,
at least for me. You know, the music, every detail,
the cover art. I mean, it's just like the process
of it. I remember this was my first EP, and

(05:01):
so the excitement just to put music out there and
and get it out there in the world. I look
back and it's almost like such a beautiful time capsule
of just what what I was going through in those
years and really was yeah, my first kind of introduction
to the world.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I think, I listen back, I'm so proud of it.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I'm grateful I can look back and say that, because
you know, sometimes we when we create work and then
we put out there and we do you know, as humans,
we evolve, we change, we grow, and I look back
and I you know, I put that out when I
was I had just turned seventeen years old, so you know,
looking back now, I'm I'm grateful. It's like this beautiful
little time capsule, and so much you know, of the

(05:42):
truth that I was writing in those years still stands
true today. What you know, like a song like one
where Hallelujah and and that's that message is still so
true to what I believe and what I want to
continue to share with my music.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Definitely, we're gonna actually spread that word here on the
back next stage past right now one from Brindley Brown
out there called Jesus Anywhere. Make sure you guys to
stream this across all the digital streaming platforms out there
and give her a follow at Brindley Brown music dot com.
Two ends. Don't forget to put both those ends in
there for Brindley Brown music dot Com. We're gonna play
it here on the backstage pass to get powered by

(06:17):
the Sports guys podcast dot com and out there KYBN
ninety eight point one and our friends at KKTC True
Country ninety nine point nine. Back in the Flash, stay tune.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
It was a long week in the middle of a
really bad year. She wound up at the pin of
place that serves two for one.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Last moment.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
April last self dead, erb last, her faith somewhere on
the way. Her life was on the rocks. She sat
down on the stool, trying to ease the hert next
to him man and the tie that shirt, last place
on Earth. You'd expect for what had happened next.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
It wasn't a.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Church, It wasn't a pupil, It wasn't a Sunday afternoon.
She fell old a light and smoke in the knee
on it. In the back of the bar there sent
a drink. It wasn't the typical thing you think or
but somehow she found him and right there, Yeah, I

(07:42):
guess you can meet Jesus anywhere. She asked about the
tattoo on his ris. The fade of black ape said
because he is. He smiled and said, it's how I

(08:07):
faced tomorrow. Said someone told him mouka trade all of
his sorrow. He said, I was sitting in a place
looked a lot like this by a woman with the
book full of related texts.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah, I believe and pray.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
And my whole life changed. Wasn't a church, wasn't a
pure was in the sunny after noon he felt hope
looked like the smoke in the knee on it in
the back of the bar, No saying a drink. Wasn't
the typical thing you think. Oh but somehow he found

(08:51):
heaven right there. Yeah, I guess you can meet Jesus
city way. He's close to the broken party. He's a
friend to those in need. He'll meet you where you
are not aware you think you need to me. It

(09:17):
wasn't a church, wasn't a puke, It wasn't a Sunday afternoon.
She felt hope of lack of smoke in the art
in the back of the bar, nursing a drink. It
wasn't the typical thing you think, Oh but somehow she found,

(09:39):
having rived the teasing rast cigarette smoke in her heart. Yeah,
I guess you can need Gesus.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
Hey guys, this is Nashville recording artist Citi Bass and
you're listening to the Award nominated Backstage Pass on KYBN
ninety eight point one in KKTC True Country ninety nine
point nine. You can also catch the show on ki
SW Country in THHWN dot org.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
The Caiden Gordon Show is a two hour show playing
the best in country music, So check it out at
the Caidangordonshow dot com. Again, that is the Caden Gordon
Show dot com.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Hey, this is Nashville recording artist Anita Cochran and you're
listening to the Backstage Pass podcast powered by the Sports
Guys podcast exclusively on KKTC True Country ninety nine point
nine in Taos, New Mexico.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
And of course, Caden and yours truly at CMA Fest
June fifth to eighth, the broadcasting live there KKTC True
Country ninety nine point nine a KYBN ninety eight point
one going to be there. It's going to be loud
and proud, and I'll tell you what last year was awesome.
Each year they get bigger and bigger. You don't want
to miss all the great covers here with all the
great artists there at the Music City Center coveres here
starting June fifth to June seventh, and of course will

(11:13):
be actually backstage at the Grand Old Opry. They're bringing
it back again the forty third annual Sunday Morning Country
we celebrate the Word of the Lord. No doubt about
that too, broadcasting live backstage at the Opry. And I
believe Brenda Lee is actually back this year hosting that event,
so it'd be exciting. It's biking us spreading that word.
Brendley Brown on the show. Here again, Jesus anywhere, And

(11:34):
I tell you what, He's everywhere, He's anywhere. This has
a great ring to it. Tell us all about this one.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Oh, I'm so excited. And you guys, this is kind
of a first listen. Honestly, I had to ask my team.
I'm like, is it okay if I share this one
because it's technically it's not released yet, And so you
guys are hearing. You know, this is the bare bones
of this song. But that's so fun to be able
to share. I'm so excited about this song. You know,
this come from such a raw, honest place, and and

(12:03):
I wrote this from a place of you know, really
believing that just like you said, Jesus is anywhere and everywhere,
and you know, in the most unlikely of places, and
in the places that we don't think he would be,
and he'd show up. He he can show up just
like that. And just a reminder of just that reality.

(12:23):
And so, you know, I love its story, its message,
you know, and and more than that, I think this
really this song really fully encompasses what this record is
is all about and in its message, in representing just
the hope of of the Gospel and and the hope
of of real honest storytelling through that and and what
that you know, looks like in a in a real

(12:45):
authentic way today. And I believe, you know, Jesus would
be in the places that maybe we wouldn't expect him
to be in. And so just a reminder, you know,
we get to we get to share that, share that love,
share that message with other people. And so I'm really
excited about this song and what it represents.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
There was a phrase we used to use. My denomination
was Catholic growing up, and we'd say always something every
time we'd read a prayer, and we'd say the Word
of the Lord, thanks be to God. After I listened
to that song, I was like the word of the Lord,
thanks be to God. Yes, appreciate you letting us play
that here. Hey, collaborations are becoming more of the norm
these days. Mentioned how blues is kind of affecting coming

(13:26):
over across in the country, and of course rock and
broad country movement, all this great stuff nineties country reserve
the beginn with the success Zach top is having right
now and well deserved for him out there. Of course,
Landing has been blowing up over these past few years.
You did one actually called Steady with the Brian Lanning
that I remember very well because I think we played
it here on the show when we first got started
with this thing, this little podcast here. Talk about that,

(13:48):
because that's becoming more of the norm, and do you
plan on doing more of that as you continue to
grow your career.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Yes, you know, oh man, what a good memory that
song was. You know, we are too Fifornia natives and
connected on just that side, and then we just love
that song and such a fun process. Getting to to
do that with a friend and record that song actually
out in California is right before I moved to Nashville,
and now Brian's also local in Nashville, which is awesome.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
But yes, I'm really excited.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
There's actually a couple of really cool collaborations on this
record that I can't say yet, but I'm really excited
about them, and you know, it's again so fun just
kind of how these two worlds country and Christian collide.
And so really excited about just the potential of of
some of those artists that you know are kind of
doing the same thing that are really just being so
outspoken about their faith and and so yes there is

(14:41):
I'm excited about that and love to collaborate. And one
artist that has been just such an incredible support that
I'm so grateful for is.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Uh Jody Messina.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
I had the opportunity to write with her and we've
been writing it ton of songs together and just she
is incredible and I just have have learned so much
just her, you know, her history and just music and
and what she's gone through and she's overcome so much,
you know, just in in this this industry, and so

(15:17):
her wisdom, her knowledge, she loves the Lord, and so
that has just been so cool to connect with her
and excited for.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
What that can look like. That's all I can say.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
All Right, we know where to fine you gets you
back when those projects are announced, because we're not gonna
wait this is that many years to catch up as
we did the previous time before. We're gonna talk about
these projects when they do come out here on the
again backstage past. You know, I was talking about that
with the women's movement now, so much female talent out there.
I love this because women almost saying kicking ass out
there too and taking names right now, not just what

(15:50):
Landy's doing, but you get the Ella Langleys and of
course the Ashley Cooks and Hannah Ellis's and so many
more out there. Of course Carly and Ashley McBride have
been doing everything. Carly, Yeah, there's so many talk about
just how that drives you as a Christian country artist too,
and what you see in those women that kind of
bring out some of the strong traits in the work
ethic too.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Oh, it's inspiring and it's encouraging, you know, to see
their work ethic, you know, their tenacity and how they
just have not given up despite all the odds.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
You know, and and I mean this industry knows how
to how to you know.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Punch you in, you in the gut right over and
over again. And what is encouraging to me is that
we're we're.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Not alone in that.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
You know, we we I think each one of those
women that you mentioned, and so many more, whether they
are signed, unsigned, you know, are are making such headway
in just being authentic and true to themselves, you know,
just being their their most raw, authentic selves. And that
has been It's inspiring, it's encouraging, and it drives me

(17:00):
to want to keep going.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
You know.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
And they they're making they're making a way. I mean
even you know, I think about country and Christian music
and if we look at especially as a female in
country music, you know, when we first talked five years ago,
we're in such a different place.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Now with just how that all looks.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
And I'm thankful for that, thankful for that growth and
want to see that continue, you know, and see country
female artists have a place more and more and more
on on radio especially, and so excited for for the
future and what that continues to look like.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
No doubt. I want to go back to some old
school Brandley Brown here twenty twenty one. See how good
my memory is? Remember it wrong? We gotta definitely talk
about this one. How about that?

Speaker 1 (17:49):
I had a throwback moment there. Yes, Oh my goodness,
this song. I love this song. And this is one
I was so excited to produce. It's if you know,
you listen to it.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
It has the strings, it has the steel guitar, and
you know, those are two of my favorite instruments and
the ways that just the emotion that those two instruments
brought to this track. Specifically my producer Luke Wluten. This
was so fun to work on with him. You know,
I've been working with him since I was fifteen years old,
which is wild.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
He took a.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Chance on me, you know, when I was fifteen, And
this song specifically was such a beautiful just musically to
create in the studio, and you know, a message of
you know.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Forgiveness and in relationships sometimes you.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Know, you really do have to look back and go, wow,
did I remember it wrong?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Did I did? I could? I could I have? And
wrestling with that and but also.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Coming to a place of you know, knowing you've done
all you could in that relationship. And so yeah, it's
a beautiful message and a real raw, honest one and
I'm pre proud of that track and yeah, what a
sweet reminder of it as well.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
But I'm gonna throw another one out there too, because
that same year, if I remember twenty twenty one, and
I love this album cover because it had that kind
of that white stars and a black kind of a
background there too, with some photographs in there too. They
really looked like that fifty stars. And I know we're
going back to some old school songs here too, but
November of twenty one, how about that one?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Wow? Yes, fifty stars. Oh man.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
That is about my grandpa, who I never had the
opportunity to meet. He passed away shortly after he returned
home from the war. He served two tours in the
in the Vietnam War, and he you know, it's amazing
I never met him, but so much of who I
am is because of him, and a big part is

(19:44):
musically because of him. He introduced my dad to so
many of those artists that I mentioned to you earlier
that I grew up listening to that seventies country, and
so so much of who I am is because of him.
So I wrote that just in just to want to
just honor his legacy. You know that he served not

(20:05):
only our country, but just who he was and what
he represented. And you know, it's so funny that sometimes
you can not even meet someone, but you you feel
and you know how much of who they are has
shaped you as a person. And so that's my my
grandpa Greg And so that song was for him and
continues to just be a sweet reminder of who he

(20:29):
was and what he represented, you know, in our family,
but also to people that have served, you know, and
have had family that maybe have passed.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Away while they are serving.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
And so just wanted that to be an encouragement, you know,
and and for our country just to to be a
reminder of what a beautiful opportunity and place that we
get to live because of the people that serve our country.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
So, no doubt, thanks to all the work our military
does out there. God reis his soul. And to tell
you what fifty stars for, I'll tell you what those
fifty states and like the sacrifices the men and women
make for this great country we live in called the
United States of America. And you know what, we're gonna
bring some more Jesus to this program. Now we'll get
on my soapbox of the Jesus I know. Here we
go for Brindley Brown KYB in ninety eight point one

(21:15):
and our friends out there too, kk t C True
Country ninety nine point nine, State two, coming right back.

Speaker 8 (21:26):
They said he was a preacher, kicking rebels out of homes,
whispering bown mercy, screaming fire and brimstone.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
They said that he would judge. He'd way, you're runing long.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
He'd say you're on salvation, then say you're too far gone.

Speaker 8 (21:49):
That ain't the truth.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
I'm telling you, is it. Jesus Senter sits at the
table with the sitters. Not so, he's so you want
to litter. If they told you where you are somewhere
Gina the Gold, then they don't know. The Jesus Sunday,

(22:16):
the Jesus Suner.

Speaker 8 (22:21):
He hate you when you pray, when you don't have
the word, And when you're at your lord he'll get
down here the dup.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
He's got a reputation hold on and has the snow
and everything changes. Well, you know, the Jesus Saner sits
at the table with the sitter. That's all. He's so
you want a little. If they told you where you
are somewhere Gina the Gold, then they don't know. The

(22:55):
Jesus sun however, he let alone the devil. Don't you
don't know the Jesus I know, And the Jesus of

(23:18):
no Jesus sits at the table with the sitter not
so his sommer. We won't alive if they told you
where you are Somewhere he never got laid. The Jesus,

(23:42):
the Jesus, Oh Jesus, Oh you will not Dad is.

Speaker 9 (23:56):
The Jesus in a great, big Western Howdy. This is
Ranger Doug with the world famous Writers in the Sky.
You're listening to the Backstage Past Exclusive. I'm KKTC True
Country ninety nine point nine because it's the Cowboy way.

Country ninety nine point nine and KYBN ninety eight point one,

Speaker 2 (24:47):
And back here to the Jesus I Know from Brindley Brown,
the EP Sanctuary across all the DSPs out there where.
If you guys download or stream music, KKTC True Country

KYPN ninety eight point one. Of course out there too,
k I SW Country in Oklahoma City, our sixth year
on that station and world worldwide now global podcast. Here

(25:09):
the backstage pass power by the Sports Guys podcast dot com.
Back here again, Brinley Brown on the show You did It.
I'll tell you what sanctuary really. I'll tell you there's
a song to really set the tone for this, and
then right into the Jesus I Know, tell us all
about this one.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Oh, the Jesus I Know is such a fun song
to write. And I had that con you know, that title,
that concept in my phone for so long. The Jesus
I Know, because I think so many times we think
Jesus lives in a specific box, you know, if we're
not perfectly put together, you know, and and he can't

(25:47):
he can't meet us. And it's it's such the opposite
of the gospel. You know, He meets us in our brokenness.
He came and died for our sins. And so I
wanted to write a song that are minds people of who.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
He is and that you know.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
You don't have to be perfect and all put together
to come to the Lord.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
You know, he loves you as you are.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
And and so I had this song and a couple
of friends of mine here in Nashville, and it's got
such a fun, you know, kind of rock country groove
to it as well, and a grit that is so
fun not only just to play live, but to have
been able to produce with my my friend Nick Schwartz.
And we wrote it though really just as an encouragement
to people that, you know, hey, Jesus loves you rite

(26:32):
where you are and he meets you right there, and
and to to be reminded that, you.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Know, we're all we're all, we're all sinners.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
We're all doing our best, you know, every day, but
we have this hope, this real hope of the Gospel
and the truth of Jesus.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
And that's the Jesus I know.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
And I want, you know, people to know that Jesus
and who he is and all of his character.

Speaker 8 (27:00):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
And so that that's why we wrote, you know, did
you just?

Speaker 7 (27:02):
I know?

Speaker 2 (27:03):
So I love it too. A great story behind that
one too. Hey, congratulations on that Grand ol Opry debut.
You got to talk about that too. When you got
the call and you stepped inside at center circle, give
me all the emotions, and of course picking that set
list and playing those songs, and I'm sure that had
to be that lifelong memory that came true and you wanted.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
To do that too as well, right, Oh my goodness, yes,
I mean I remember the first you know trip I
took to Nashville.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I was twelve years old. I had begged my.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Parents, you know, to to come to Nashville. I was,
you know, living in California. I had started playing you know,
little open mic nights and up in the high Desert.
I grew up in and kind of down in LA
but I knew Nashville was the spot, and I knew
Grand Ole Opry was the spot you know, you wanted
to play. And you know, growing up with so much
of the seventies country again that did the Grand Ole

(27:52):
Opry was the place you know, to play in country music.
And so I remember we we flew in the first
trip here and the first spot we went to was
the Grandell Operator. That was the first show you know,
we saw here in town. And I just remember thinking
I want to be on that stage someday, and so
to you know, now flash forward years and years of

(28:14):
work just to I've been able to step into that circle.
I was just incredibly honored and grateful, just such a
heart of gratitude to have been able to do that
and have that opportunity.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
I the wild.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Part of it all is, you know, my mom and
my team they knew for quite some time before I did.
They wanted to plan you know, the surprise and how
I would, you know, find out about making my debut.
And I was playing a release show and here in
town locally, and the lights went out. Like I was

(28:50):
playing the show, I finished a song in the set and.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
It was almost like the power went down.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
The screen went down, everything was black, and I was thinking, oh, shoot,
is there you know a storm?

Speaker 1 (29:00):
That's what I don't know what's going on outside.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
And then just the TV screen came on and it
was Dolly Parton and Dolly let me know that I
was making my grandall opry debut, and I about, you know.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Dropped to the ground literally you can see in the video, just.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
My my, oh my, my excitement. The tears just started
grow going and I, you know, was just couldn't believe it.
And and then to go and make my debut and
to have had that experience, so grateful and uh you know,
can't wait to go back, and such an honor, you know,

(29:38):
such an honor.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Well to use one of those song titles you had
out there, miracle Story it came true, No, which is
on the sanctuary right there's a miracle story and uh
no doubt in my mind it was was gonna happen
to it. Well, I love how they can. I'm surprised
they kept that from you until the timing was right
there too, But congrats that Dolly got to kind of
laying on you right there too at the same time,
and I would have been floor too. It's advance. Is
this real? Is this some kind of movie or what's

(30:02):
going on? Right's on that too as well. All right,
let's have a little fun here too, because I know
CMA Fest coming up too, is gonna be hundreds of
thousands of people flocking to uh Music City just to
take in this this big event called the Country of
Music Fest, which is always big out there for CMA
week out there the shows at Nissan and of course
all the stages. More information CMA fest dot Com for
ticket packages right now too, as we'll make sure you

(30:23):
guys get on that same time. Of course we'll be
at Nissan doing some coverage out there too for all
those great shows, uh for for for the the biggest thing.
And I say this back to that title miracle story.
Uh for me, I really think it's the Dodgers and
everybody else. We're talking about this before we actually went
live here on the air, uh to to do our
show today. I really I'm a show heyl Tony fan

(30:44):
out love the way he plays the game.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
For you.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
You wear that hat proud. And I'll tell you this, man,
there's nothing wrong with being a doctor fan.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Right, No, nothing wrong with it, especially right now. No,
it's it's great, you know.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
I mean I got to represent, you know, my California
route and I had the opportunity to sing right before
they went to the champion the Championships this past year
and they had a home game and I got to
sing the national anthem, which was so fun, and I
think that was that was the moment for me because
you know, growing up in California, it was it was

(31:18):
the Angels and the Dodgers, and it was always this
conflict internally of you know, okay, we're who am I
choosing here? And funny enough, you know, my my grandpa
was always on one side. My grandma was always on
the other side. She was a massive, massive Dodgers fan.
And then we had the Angels fan in my grandpa
and so they're just banned. He about it all the

(31:39):
time was the best. But now I've I've settled in.
I've settled into the Dodgers, I got to say, And
I'm excited about this season.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
And they're killing it.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
And a little birdie I might be told me I
might be going back and singing again for some of
the games too, and so looking forward to to that
as well.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
I like that too, like I said, not so prizing
again too, Like I said, when you do, be sure
and let me know. Like I said, we'll spread the
word out there. So all the listeners out there in
radio land, all right, So one of my favorite things
to do is to check out all the food trucks
during CMA WIG to see what's kind of like the
norm out there or the I guess coming from different
states all over and all the vendors out there, to
to just kind of see that for you, is that

(32:20):
kind of the favorite part. I mean, obviously to meet
people when you've done it before. I know you mentioned
this year, may not get a chance to kind of
be there when it's when it's going on with some
other obligations you've got attend to. But I love the
food trucks. I love meeting people, I love talking and
it's so fast because it's four days, but it goes
by like crazy.

Speaker 9 (32:35):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Are you a foodie too at the same time?

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Oh my gosh, absolutely, Oh my word. Oh a foodie
all the way.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
And there is so so much good food, so many
food trucks going on down there, and I mean it's
the best. You've got good food, you've got good music
everywhere you turn, and I mean it's just a blast.
But oh yeah, I'm a foodie. And there's so much
good barbecue out here. Oh you know, it's the barbecue.
It's the it is the hot chicken. I will say,

(33:02):
I become more and more a fan of the brisket
out here.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
I will just be going down on that brisket. But
there's I mean, there's so much good food. Yes, to
answer your question.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
And cmafest brings out, you know, all the good stuff,
all the good spots.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
So I love it.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
So get that barbecue there at CMA Fest recommendation there
from Brindley Brown here on the program too. All right,
last wee we'll finish up with this. If you never
had been a working musician and followed this career path,
which I know you're excited you did, and I'm glad
you did. I know the fans are too. What other
career path would you have gone into? Occupation wise, Oh, man.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
I say it probably would still be somehow connected with music.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
I think I would be, you know, in music therapy.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
And I've thought about this so so much of just
how healing music truly is.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
And that's that's why I started writing songs.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
You know.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
It came from a time in my family that was
really hard and I started writing songs.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
And just the heat. It's just so therapeutic to write.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Songs and listen to music and just has the power
to really heal. And so I think i'd probably be,
you know, in that somehow teaching music, still in music.
But if it if it had to be not music
related at all, I'd probably be a vet.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
I love animals.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
I you know, I grew up on a small ranch
with horses and grew up to an even bigger ranch.
My neighbors had every kind of animal you can imagine
they had, you know, EMUs and Shag.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I mean, they had everything.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
And so I think I'd probably be involved with animals
and doing something with animals, and that's something that.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
You know, I'd love to do to this day. But
I'd probably be some sort of vet, even though I
don't know if I could see them pass away. That's
where I said I can't be a vet because that
would be the hard part.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
But yeah, probably if if it was no music, you know,
nothing music related, to probably.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Be a bit glad she chose that music path down
the road there too, because it's it's working for her
out there too. She's living her dreams and tank congratulations
on the great Olofrey debut of the Christian country Sound
and of course spreading the Word of God out there
too through the faith and again sanctuary across all the
DSPs out there too. More great things to come here

sounds good.

Speaker 3 (35:31):

to see how this show has grown and just continue

you know, grateful to come on today and catch up
