One of the ogs here to the backstage pass. Australia's
top country artists out there, the new single country souls
across all the DSPs Hayley Jensen of the program how
you doing, my friend, Hello, Brendan.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
It's so great to be with you. Thank you having
me back on.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Well You're an og you know what it means. You
always got to come back on that one, new and out.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Absolutely, it's been a hot minute. It's been a hot minute.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
But look, I very fondly recalled some of our first calls.
We're chatting through COVID, we were chatting before, and it's yeah,
wonderful to just keep it all rolling. And thank you
for your continued support of my music.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Always, always well. I love this new sound. We're talking
about this before we went live on the air too,
looking at it edgy, this rocky kind of field. I
mentioned country soil. We're gonna play it here so people
can kind of get their own taste of it here
a little bit. But you changed a little bit of
your team, not so much of a massive overhaul, but
you know, again working with that important team of people,
you feel like we're gonna you know, fill those roles
and fill them in a great way too. At the

(02:41):
same time, but I love this new sound. Ever since
Breaking Hearts and things that have gone up here, Country
Souls at a great tune, talk about just the change
and some of the expectations that you've kind of, you know,
moved those chess pieces, if you will.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah, it's always really hard, you know, in creative creative
spaces because you kind of get your little team around
you and you're creating art together, you know. So it's
a challenge as an artist like myself, who I don't
produce my own music. I rely on producers to sort
of help me to bring that vision to life.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
So, you know, when.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Things change, people's life, circumstances change and all that sort
of stuff, and you have to switch up who you're
working with, you know, it forces you to kind of
dig deep and find something different and new in there.
So I started working with on this new album, Country Soul,
brand new production team based in Australia here actually in Melbourne,
but they are kicking massive goals overseas as well with

(03:37):
their production and songwriting. It's a duo called M Squared
and they're fantastic and we just spent a lot of time.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I guess we.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Did it kind of song by song or a couple
of songs by a couple of songs, so making sure
that we had a unique sound that was specifically mine.
They work with a lot of Australian acts here at
the moment, they're they're absolutely nailing it on streaming platforms
and everything with their sound and radio.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
It's really cutting through.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
So it's important for me to make sure that my
sound was distinct from everybody else's and you know, I
think they've done a really good job of, you know,
finding that that edge in me. Michael Painter is one
of the key producers in the duo and he has
got the most incredible voice. He's playing Jesus Christ Superstar

(04:24):
in the Jesus Christ. He's playing Jesus in the Jesus
Christ Superstar here in Australia at the moment, So those
massive vocals, big big voice, So he was fantastic, really
pushing me out of my comfort zone to I guess,
you know, dig deep in these songs and really make
sure I get the emotion into them.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
The Breaking Hearts album, which we spent a lot of
time talking about over the years, Brandon was recorded right
here in my living room. The vocals because we were
in lockdown and I didn't really have so I could
didn't really have a producer in the room with me
telling me what to do, which was great in terms
of just like exploring, but this was this was kind

(05:07):
so it was kind of challenging for me having somebody
kind of push him and push him not do it again.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
You can do better.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
This is you know, and I haven't really had that
as a vocalist, but I trusted him. He's he's got
the chop. So it's I'm really proud of you, proud
of the outcome.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah, like I said, we're not gonna wait around. We're
gonna play it right now too. Just came out August
eighth to makes you guys go streaming across all the
DSPs out there too, Haley Jensen. Make sure you guys
check her out across all social media if you have

B and B Construction Services partner Benis Custom Homes, commercial remodels,
steel buildings. Let them do the work out there to
keep them busy. Based out of Sealy, Texas. They'll travel
done correct and with respect they'll get Brentnett called seven
three eight nine zero twenty five fifty one. And also, guys,

(11:12):
if you have to use a legal defense out there,
one place to check it out. The Morell Law Firm
Morell Firm dot com, specializing in eighteen wheeler commercial truck wrecks,
are in the top one percent of all lawyers, having
tried over fifty cases to verdict zero bs and of
course one hundred percent results out there. Caller text for
a free consultation seven one three four to seven zero
four thousand and five. Also Casey Beck Music and our

(11:34):
friends at Chandler Marie Music dot com. You know, I
love that you mentioned the edgy sound there too. Back
here with Hayley Jensen on the show, one of Australia's
top country artists. Here on the backstage pass country Soul
just had a feel that I feel like you really
just jumped out of a shell and like you just
went sky high off a roller coaster and hit you
just went boom up there like man, And I'll go
to listen to the artwork because I want to discuss

(11:56):
this too. You've got like this badass shot, like you
know what, I'm your I'm your girl right here. I
guess she's got the red background looking good with this artwork.
Talk about just the project. The song you got to
be very proud of. This came out August eighth, and
then you just got that ar I'm kind of sitting
right there like, yeah, country, so I'm the baddest.

Speaker 13 (12:15):
Look.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Yeah, it's been fun pulling the whole project together.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
And it's always interesting because with anything with music, you know,
it starts with the music and then you have to
kind of create all the visuals and everything else around it,
and to me, kind of building that cohesive sort of
brand image, visuals, sound, bringing.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
It all together so that it's consistent.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
You know, I don't know a lot of artists probably
outsource a whole lot of that kind of activity.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
I'm a bit of a control.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Free brand, which is we'll get the better of me
at some point with the limited time that I have.
But I decided to design all of the artwork myself
for the for the album. The album itself comes out
on the twenty ninth of August. Country solo single has
just come out, and look, I wanted that song to
be the title track and the first track on the

(13:07):
album exactly for that reason, you said, like, just so
that it comes out of the gate. It's a vocal
clap at the very beginning of that song as you
hear and and it's kind of like whoa, here we go,
like buckle up, strap in, because this album's about to
take off. And it pretty much keeps going at that
case until you know there's there's some movement and groove

(13:30):
and stuff in it. But it keeps going really until
the very final track, which is there's two ballads on
the track it, but the final one is kind of
a bit.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
A lot more laid back.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
But yeah, it's thirteen tracks of kind of powering through
and country vibes that I guess I just wanted to
make an album that I was going to translate really
well on festival stages, translate really well if you're on
a road trip and you're listening to you, you know,
putting your favorite album on and just get Owen, you know.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
So yeah, I think it's it's.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Good motivating, it'd be good for the gym, It'll be
good for any time when you just need to get moving.

Speaker 16 (14:08):
You know.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
I love it too, And I'll say you this too,
and all your jams I've been working out to. Just
on the playlist. I love driving thirty five or thirty
six pounds, so it's leg life changing and put the earbox,
put on some Haley Gents and music because I've been
been digging everything, of course ever since back in the
twenty eighteen. And I'll tell you what I still go
back to. And I always ask you about this because

(14:30):
I love the record and I put a lot of
it the on the playlist too for people that haven't
heard it. It's referring to turning Up the Dial, which
was one of her greatest albums that she put out
there to just some jams on there from Saturday Night
to This Love to Next Big Thing Summertime soundtrack. When
you look back at that body of work, man, does
it feel like it was just yesterday? A little bit
putting out that body of work? Because so many great songs,
and also I know Phil Barton was on that record.

(14:53):
Did a lot of work with you talk about just
for people that don't know or haven't heard the record,
just a lot of really good songs on that record.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Thank you, Thank you so much. Yeah, I guess it
was my first true country album. The one just before
that was technically released in the country genre, but turning
up the doll.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
I produced it in Nashville. It was just an incredible time.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
It was my first time heading over to the States
to songwrite and record this album, and I've worked with
an amazing Grammy Award winning producer, Jamie.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Tait, and I just was so blown away.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I walked into the studio this full live band that
have played on all of the great albums, Reuben McIntire,
very Underwood, you name it. They've played on the albums.
They're on the Opery stage every second week. You know,
they're just incredible musicians, and they just grabbed a hold
of these songs and you know, brought them to life.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
And I still play a whole lot of most of
them live in my live shows. People just love them.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
As you mentioned songs Saturday Nights soundtrack, they just they
go often.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
I feel like I'm really proud of that album.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
It feels like a timeless country album, and I think
a lot of that's to do with, you know, the songwriting,
the production by Jamie there in Nashville. You know, he
was very much sticking to traditional production methods. Get the
whole band in the room, everyone, they counted in, they
played it live.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
That's what's on the record.

Speaker 13 (16:25):
You know.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
It's really it was very impressive to watch and it's
not really how it's done here in Australia. So maybe
people in the state it might be used to kind
of that sort of thing, but here in Australia it's
often a one man band that's kind of played multi
instruments and programs it in these days, whereas that album,
it's a real deal from start to finish. And yeah,

(16:46):
I'm super proud of it. Thanks Brennan. I know it's
one of your faves and your encouragement on that album
has kind of really feeled me to keep going.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
With that sound.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
I just drove the camper back from Corpus Christie, Texas
down there what to the beach down there for Port
of Ramsas, Texas, which is right there on the Gulf,
and had a good time down there too, and I
brought the whole the bows that got this s one
speaker that cranks up now, which is really cool, kind
of my pah speaker for my broadcast and for football.
And she's like, what are you going to put on?
I said, summertime soundtrack? Forever? Won't we locked out all

(17:19):
these Saturday nights this love? And I'm like, then we'll
turn up the dills. She goes, oh, yeah, that's your
good friend from AUSI right, we get. I'm like, there
you go. So it was on the playlist. And when
I love something, you know me, I'm want to outspoken
and just put it out there.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
So it's it's that is awesome, Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I love that, you know, that's that makes me made
my day, just knowing that my music is playing across
the world and is the soundtrack for for lots of
adventures in your life and other people's like it's you know,
that's what music's about, right we you know, you know,
we write it from our heart, but then once we've
released it, it's, you know, takes its own little world,
and that's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
I wish we could have beautiful sunny day. We're in
Sydney here, it's a miserable, rainy day in the middle
of winter. So I'm very jealous of your beautiful summer
weather you're having.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Yeah, it's been hot over here too, and like I said,
not really the triple digits, just the humidity. And also,
like I said, out I would say, I say B
and B construction services. I don't want to do any
construction right now, so any of my projects I'm gonna actually,
you know, like I said, push out to them, make
sure they stay busy in the heat too, because they
like doing that too. But I will go outside and
lay at the beach under like I said, under my canopy,
and just enjoy time with the family. Little girl, like

(18:28):
I said, she turned five years old. Now I've got
a kindergartener on my hands. Oh boy, look yt Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
No, lots of lots of fun memories to be made
and times to be had. So it's very it's very cool.
I you know, we were just talking of fair before
the show. I remember, you know, the early days us
talking and you were just I think she's just been born,
and it was like, you know, it's amazing. I feel
like I've kind of been there through it all with you.

(18:58):
So it's beautiful. Yeah, one for to see it growing option.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
In fact, I kind of told her you go love this.
I kind of said, this is who's this? And she
looked back, she goes, it's aunt Haley. Is it aunt
Haley on the phone. I guess it is just here, Jesus,
Let's just keep it Aunt Haley and Haley Jensen. We'll
take it.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Oh take it, I'll take it. I only have musical music.
My songs are my baby. So I'm very happy to
adopt everybody's little children. And the Auntie Haley, I'm a
very cool auntie, trusting get away with anything.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Well, time for some more edge and some more get
up right here on the backstage pass, and of course
a little sass in the music, a little bit of attitude.

Hayley Jensen. So I mentioned you turned it up a
not so too with that that country soul single, But man,
there was nothing like it. I kept saying to myself
if I saw the Music Real magazine or I saw

(25:46):
Top forty count Down or anything that is gone there
any of those top charts, this is a song too.
And I mean, all your still great body at work,
but this one gidea up, cowboy. This could be actually
a top ten hit in Nashville on many of those
music charts. And that's how much out to thank you
so much.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Wow, that's that's huge.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
This song has absolutely taken off here in Australian country radio.
It's it's been the top of the charts for a
number of weeks now on the radio charts here, and
I'm just like continuously blown away about particularly, you know.
I remember I remember working out this song and I

(26:26):
wrote it with an amazing artist, Sarah Buckley. She's from
a band called the Buckley's here in Australia, and you
should check them out if you haven't. They're very very cool,
they're a bit groovy and they're kind of they're sort
of songwriting. It's a family band, but she's just super
cool and we just had the best time writing this

(26:47):
song together. And yeah, I just had the melody of
the chorus of this song and then we sort of
shape the rest of it around it. She came up
with that really cool groove at the start and yeah,
it's Yeah, it's just sort of taking on its own
own life this one. And it's really fun to play live.
I've been performing I'm the feature artist for the PBR
here in Australia at the moment, so I've been performing

(27:09):
it in the halftime entertainment in the middle of the
middle of the arenas around Australia here for the last
year and it's been it's been super fun, really well
received and it's yea the best fun to play live.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
So yeah, glad, You're glad.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
You dig it man, Thanks said both speiagures digging a
lot on vacation and we'll go out to football games
and I'm like, they're like, who is that artist? What
are you playing there? What's going on? Marel, what are
you doing there? I'm like, playing some of the best
of the best in country music nationwide. We bring it
out to a local football field and they love it.
I said, an exhibition game there a few weeks back,
just a couple of weeks out and now for the season.

(27:44):
I said, well, look her up and like, hey, where
do I find her on social media? Where I look
her up? Here, I'm telling you it is uh stuck
and I look at it as like a football kick
off both And looking back, you've got one called Stopping
Ground that I was going to get into your released
last year that we may or may not have talked
about here on the previous shows that we've done. But
that's another one that could be like a football anthem
kind of song. Stopping Ground tell us.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Yeah, yeah, a lot of energy in that one.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Again, it's like it's the ultimate party kind of song.
But look, it's just about being, you know, letting your
hair down at the end of a tough week. And
the video was really fun to make. We had a
bit of a coyote ugly throwback with some dancing on
the dancing on a bar and it's you know, it's
a really really fun song. It's a bit cheeky, but yeah,
it's really from the beginning to the end. Again, it's

(28:29):
just like one of those songs that's got momentum and
the riff at the very start just keeps going and
it's it's a it's a it's a cool vibe. It's
a really fun song. So yeah, check out something ground.
It's gone nuts on streaming platforms too. It's really cool.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Nuts on streaming. The key here like it's our slogan. Yeah,
you know, looking at twenty twenty one, I know we
did a show on this too. We actually played some
live stuff, some video and you perform there. Better Than
That was a single that you put out that you
included it on the record for Breaking Home talk about
just that body of work and other great ten songs there.
Becky Cole was on a song with you there called Angel,

(29:06):
which I loved a lot very much, and then Clayton
Bellamy for one called four Boots. Better Than That was
at single mention you had released previous to this album.
But breaking Hearts so many title of the album in itself,
it broke a lot of hearts, but it was one
of those things about a lot of great companies on it.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Right, Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
That album was really special, I guess, you know, coming
off the back of that turning up the Dial album,
which we spoke about.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
You know, it was really important to I guess.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
You know, once again, every time you put out a
new body of work, you've kind of got to reinvent
or reimagine. Honestly reinvent, but reimagine what you're going to
do and how are you going to do it? You know,
not differently enough that it's like people think, what is
she doing? But like, you know, you want to keep
evolving as an artist. And I worked with an amazing producer,
Canadian producer Troy Cochle on the Breaking Hearts album, and yeah,

(30:00):
we just had so much fun experimenting. It was a
lot of it was produced during those horrible years of
COVID lockdowns, and you know we're here in Australia. You know,
we couldn't leave you know, five kilometers I don't know
how many miles that.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Not very far from around that had a confined you
know too. We weren't allowed to loiter around in the
streets or anything. That was like stay at home. Everybody
stay at home.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
So I had a lot of time on my hands,
not traveling on the road, which is very bizarre for
us as musicians, not being out touring and things, so
a lot of time to get creative and listen to
new music, which is like that we don't often get
a lot of time to do as well, so a
lot of influencers, different sounds and better than that. I
still close my show out to this day with that song.

(30:46):
It's just such a great energy. It's got a bit
of an Elking X's and those kind of vibe about it.
I think it's like, you know, one of those like.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
Just upbeat, bop around kind of songs.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
It's really about knowing your worth and you know, it's
the line in the song says, you know better than that,
my mama raised me better than that. Boy, you're gonna
wish you had and treated me bad because my mama raised.

Speaker 14 (31:11):
Me better than that.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
So it's a bit of a warning of a you know,
Fi seal number. But it's really good fun to play
live too, it is, And I.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Can't wait to get to a Hayley Jensen show and
sit front row as your guest. I can't we come
back to the States or over there, like I said,
down Under, I'm coming. Watch. I always tell people will
threaten me with a good time because I will be
there front row and like I said, beard in my
hand and enjoying all that great music and singing songs
those lyrics right back to her at a location there,

(31:42):
whether it's Melbourne or get down under somewhere or catch
you here in the States too. Hey, speaking of a
great week. CMA was a blur. Just a couple of
months ago. We were there doing our thing and live
at the Music City Center talking to I don't know
sixty seventy great artists there talking about all the great
music for you. I know, we tried to meet up.
It was a blur talking about just now successful it was.
And then you got to play cat Tam, which is

(32:03):
Luke Comb's bar I did.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Oh my gosh, it was just the most incredible week.
I wasn't I don't think I was fully prepared for
how full on it is, you know, Like I mean,
I was born. That's it's go, go, go from start
to start to end. But and I have been to
CMA Fest just as a you know, tourist, as a
punter before and absolutely loved it. But when you're you know,

(32:30):
on stage and performing and meeting people and networking and
all that sort of stuff, it is just fallen. But
it was the most incredible, incredible week and I literally
came straight from the UK. I've been doing a bunch
of festivals and shows around the UK and flew to
Nashville for CMA Fest and it was larger than life.
It was awesome and I'm I'm really looking forward to

(32:51):
coming back next year and playing some more shows. This year,
I really just had a couple of little showcase spots.
You know, it's a bit tricky for us as Australia
with the visa laws and all that sort of stuff
to kind of to get permission to come and actually
play music during the festival.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
I don't know if people are aware of that, but
it's challenging for us to be able to play live.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
But I was able to do a few shoot showcase
spots and as you say, played at Luke Coomb's Category
ten and on my very last day, I actually got
the incredible invitation to perform at the Bluebird Cafe and
that just absolutely blew me away. That's one of those
venues that it's on your bucket list, you kind of

(33:33):
feel like just taking it off the list because you
figure that you probably are never going to get the
chance in your life.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
To do it so way even put it on a
bucket list. But it was wonderful.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
I literally got invited the day before and somebody said,
you need to come and play tomorrow. Let's make a
space for you, and it was just it was a
dream come true. I actually played the song You're with Me,
which is a song that I wrote about my dad,
who sadly passed away from cancer. It's on my Turn
Up the Dial album and you know, I remember heading

(34:04):
over to Nashville for the first time to write and
record that song and then you know, all these years later,
being able to head back to actually perform it live
in that iconic venue was just a dream come true.
It was I'm still pinching myself actually when I think
back to that moment. It was really really special.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
It should be, and like I said, it's amazingly so
when you lose it, it's hard. You lose a parent,
it's always something. It's just sentimentally touches so close to
your heart, is so close to your family. And I
tell you, man, that's why your music means so much
to me, because I I lost my dad unfortunately there
in the fall of twenty twenty three, and it never
gets an easier when it comes down to something like
that too. So your songs have really made me cry,

(34:46):
made me feel something, and that song in particular, I
remember you say that about your father too at the
same time, and Mike, condolence is and look, it's never easy,
but music can help you get through some tough times,
and yours has certainly done that for me and a
lot of great listeners out through to a lot of
great fans, or somebody who's always known somebody they've lost to.
I want to ask you about favorite foods and things

(35:07):
that you got to partake in there. I know for
me it was like somebody pointing me on every different
corner to go do this and this and this, and
then I would go to Tin Roue, or I go
across the street to a Jelly Rolls bar, or go
up to the sixth floor diner and go eat some pizza.
Where did you like to dine in? What was your
favorite place to eat at when you were there?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
You know what I feel like, I forgot to eat
the week I had a box of cereal in my
AIRBMB that I feel like I lived on breakfast I
had for breakfast, and then when I got home, you know,
whatever time of night that was my dinner.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
It's really it's really quite embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
But you're running around like crazy, you're living on diet
coke basically, just trying to stay cool. And yeah, I
literally you know that there's a little Mexican food truck
on the corner that was halfway between downtown and my
airbnb that I might have stopped at maybe a few
too many times and enjoyed a vegetarian burrito. But yeah,

(36:06):
like I honestly I think I ate out maybe what twice.
It's really embarrassing. Otherwise, it was, you know, a frozen
pizza in the in the airbn, some cereal of great.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
I got a pizza, thank you, two we got to go.
It'skull three one two pizza and it was in Germantown
over by the Brooklyn Ball and it was Chicago STU.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
So well, yeah, I am there. I am absolutely there.
I'm a big pizza fan, you know, maybe a little
too much. I have to kind of walk a few
miles to earn it. But yeah, no, that's great. It's
got to be better than the frozen stuff I was
strowing in my oven back at my ab.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
It sure does no doubt about it. I love it
so much. All right, your spirit animal? I may have
asked this years back, but I know for me, like
it would be probably uh, some type of cats. So
I'm looking at probably like a tiger slash lion. But
then I love marine life so much. I'd probably go
a shark because I'm like you, I capitalize when I
smell blood in the water and I just go get it.
I'm that kind of worker. You know me already. Uh

(37:18):
what would be your Brandon?

Speaker 3 (37:20):
I would have thought you'd be like a dolphin.

Speaker 11 (37:21):
You know.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
I guess we're gonna be a swimming dolphin? Why not?

Speaker 13 (37:27):
Right?

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (37:31):
What would my spirit animal be?

Speaker 2 (37:33):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
I think I'd probably also be some kind of cat
or maybe like I don't know, I'm like, what's my stars?

Speaker 3 (37:40):
I'm a capricorn. Maybe I'm just like a mountain goat.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
I'm just relentlessly gone to the top the mountains that
just never never has a peak.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
I love it the mountain goat right there too. Like
I said, I was going to predict your like, let's
see here, probably a bald eagle or something like that.
Just Forrochi.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Grab it sounds that's a lot more, you know, than
a freaking goat. You can tell I haven't had much sleep.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
I can tell yes. And it's also good morning over
there to you guys.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Yeah, it's very early in the morning for a musician.
We do what we can for American and you.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Know, what do you do? One hell of a job.
I love this music so much again. All these songs
we talked about include the music video for Gidde Up,
Cowboy is across all your DSPs where you guys downloaded
stream music out there, and of course Country Soul is
the first single off the upcoming album of August twenty ninth.
My friend, we love you so much here on the show,
love having you back, always looking forward to meeting up

(38:38):
next time. We're in Nashville, Tennessee the Meco after music
and I still we need to make that phone call
because I since one day and I've done some bold
predictions here on the show, Hayley Jensen and the Grand
Old Iprey debut. Can we make that happen?

Speaker 3 (38:51):
Let's let's keep that petition going. I'm like, I've just
ticked off the bluebird. What's next? Grand Old Offree.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
I did have the incredible privilege I was invited to
go along to the Opery on my last visit and
I sat, I think it was two three rows from
the front, and I watched Carry Underwood perform and I thought,
oh wow, I would just that's just my dream, all right.
Put it on the bucket list. Put it on the
bucket list. So never say never, right in this world,

(39:23):
not in this business, you never say never too. Like
I said, it's one of my favorite things.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
And like I said, I had twenty shows or so
run on the Grand Ole Opry Station last year on WSM,
so one of those iconic moments for me and the
brand here in my show. And loved the Grand Ol
Lopery Station there too, the mecca country music, and got
to broadcast there the last couple of years during the
Sunday Morning Country event the last two It's just been
a great time in Nashville, lovel so much to all
the great people. And I haven't said this on the show,
but Mike condolences do go out to the Genie Seeley family,

(39:50):
the longest running tenured performer on the Grandu Loprary from
the female standpoint, she lost her battle a couple of
weeks ago there to where I think the end of
the end of July, first of August. But my thoughts
go out to the Seeley family and again we love
you here from the backstage past. May you rest in peace.
And such a great lady we got to talk to
here on the show many times. And if they had

(40:10):
to throw that out there, Janie, you probably followed her career.
She's just such a great person, entertainer and over fifty
years performing on the opera stage. Isn't that crazy?

Speaker 1 (40:19):
What an incredible life and what an incredible legacy to
leave to you know, I think that's just so precious.
She's obviously lived her her dreams and touched so many
people's lives out there with her music and her presence,
and I think, you know, I think that's that's what
we would all dream of being able to do. So

(40:40):
what an incredible legacy in life she's leaved left behind.
And yeah, my condolence is too to her family.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Amazing person there too as well. I tell you great
ladies to follow in those footsteps a right here on
the show Hayley Jensen. And of course that female category
right now, you guys know, we talk so much about
it too. It's loaded with talent right now, so it
makes sure you come out as they continue to kick
ass and take names out there again. All the music
