(00:43):
new record called Woman in the Mirror. You look for her,

her here on the program. Sasha joining us here, Sasha, how.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
You doing im good? Thanks? Well, it's good to be
here with you too. Let's talk all about this record
I mentioned.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
We had a crazy and very very beneficial and productive
c week out there you were playing the hard rock
stage and of course highlighting a bunch of these songs.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
When this album just came out at the end of May.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Talk to me about Woman in the Mirror and of
course out there too, your CMA week and how it
went out there performing on the hard rock stage.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
C May Week actually just followed that was following off
the release of the album Women in the Mirror, which
we've launched on the thirtieth May. Feels good, feels good
to have this record out. It's been a long time coming.
Some songs two three years, sometimes songs just a couple
of months that made the album. And I've had a
lot of great things going on in my world. I've

(01:33):
been at this for a really long time. But I
feel like, you know, a lot of people might see
some of the accolades on my social media or the
red carpets there's you know, CMA red carpets or ward shows,
et cetera. But I feel like this album was a
good reintroductory of myself, kind of pulling back the curtains
and sharing my story with you all a bit and

(01:54):
being a little bit more transparent. So Woman the Mirror
is definitely a few reflections on there. No song is
the same, stories could be similar, but not the same.
And I'm just I'm just really excited about some of
the feedback that I'm getting right now for people resonating
off the songs of the album. And now we're just
in show business time. So it's like I get to

(02:16):
perform the album, which is the most exciting part CMA Fest.
I got to share the songs and a really good
reception there, really good time of the hard rock in Nashville.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Like it was just an awesome.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Experience, always a fun time. So and you never know
you're gonna run into that week. In fact, I ran
into like so many celebrities. It was a pretty cool
thing there too, every stages, everybody. It was crazy everybody
that the weak country music gets a reunion and everybody,
all the stars out there too. Hey talk about nice
Girl off the record for a woman in the mirror.
I love this song. It resonates with a lot of

(02:48):
cool fans out there too. A lot of country music
listeners always give me great feedback on it's such a
great song.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Really, I love it.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Well, thank you nice Girl? What that was? Victoria Banks,
Emily Karen Kozowski, and this is a song like just
one of the things that I personally has struggled with.
I call it the people pleasing disorder and put on TikTok,
and a lot of people like, yeah, I struggle with
that too. It's just some things are just the silliest
things that we kind of don't that we just kind
of let slide because we're so afraid of ruffling feathers

(03:17):
or offending people. It's really silly in my world, but
it's actually been quite a kind of stronghold. So it's like,
I think it's not to say goodbye to like shut
off the nice girl era, and not that I'm not
going to be friendly, because I'm always friendly and I'm
always nice, but just that it won't be taking advantage
of anymore.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I love it too, and a great story behind it,
and then the title track itself, you know, really beautiful,
beautiful song Woman in the Mirror too, a great song
set the tone for the record too, and just a
great story behind this one too, I'm sure.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Yeah. One of the Mirror I remember just sitting on
I think I was in Midtown about a year ago
and just writing have some stuff and having struggling with
some of the anxieties and the fears that I feel
like I have been stifling me and holding me back.
And I was thinking, this has got to be a

(04:04):
song that I'm gonna have to write now, and I
had to write it with again, Victoria Banks a put
upper Sod, And it's just kind of the reflection of
somebody that's in there that you know is so is
just so fearless and so bold and courageous, and we're
working at getting her out so that she can just
be as estoppable as she sees herself in the mirror.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Love the song too, Hey. Talk about the girl power
movement in country music right now. Lanny Wilson doing her thing,
but so many good females right behind in that country
music category. I had one yesterday on the show and
Rainda Roberts, and of course, just so many ladies doing
their thing out there, putting out great music, resonating with
their fans. What this means to you in your career
in this women empowerment movement in country music.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Oh man, it's awesome. I think, like you know, it's
these are just really incredibly talented women. Lady Wilson is
an inspiration to me as well. And I think she's
just got a great vocal, She's got grit, her story,
her perseverance and her songs. And I feel like, just
like even the Yella Langleys are the the women that
come to the forefront are just a little I think

(05:02):
they got a little more edge, a little more fierceness,
you know, a little more fire on their tail. And
I feel like that helps most of us resonate because
it's it's not an easy industry, it's not an easy
life period, and they're coming with some grits. So I
feel like this wave of women that are coming have,
you know, just some stories to tell and their victories

(05:26):
are being shared amongst everybody, like Laney, like you know,
having her number ones and now Ala Langley as well,
and all the women that are following in that path.
I'm just really excited to see what's gonna happen. The
main thing is just being authentic, and that's where I
started out with this album.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Let's talk about this.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
So when you're not doing music, what are some of
the fun things hobbies you like to do for fun
out there?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Oh? What do I like to do? I have a
little four Pound Yorky, who I love and adore, and
he's laying there really good right now, and he likes
to come on the road with us when I can
take him. I like to go longboarding on the back roads,
believe it or not, and like to go hiking. I
love nature. What else do I like to do? I

(06:10):
like the rest when I can. How about that?

Speaker 2 (06:12):
What's a good movie. That's a good one, no doubt
too as well. Look at the record as Woman in
the Mirror.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
