Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey y'all, this is Ashland Kraft and you're listening to

iHeartRadio podcasts and at the Sports Guys podcast dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
And welcome inside the Backstage Pass. Happy month of July
here too. I hope everybody had a great July fourth
out there too. At the same time, we're presented by
our friends over at B and B Construction Services and
of course the Caaden gordonshow dot com Today's best Country
Mix and always collabs are becoming the norm here is
we talk about here on the Backstage Pass, So we
got a good before you here. As a Sacha and
Restless Road have not collaborated on a new song. It's

(00:37):
out there across all the DSPs called the Shooting Stars.
Sacha Wrestless Road. How you guys doing, jod How are
you doing very well? No doubt about it too, And
of course the July main summer months and vacations for
a lot of people out there too. Well, Sacha, let's
start right here first, collab with the boys. They've been
blowing and going out there too. Taking country music by storm.
Let's talk about this one, Shooting Star and how much

(00:58):
fun this was to come together or to collaborate on
a great song.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Oh man, it was. I'm really grateful that we got
this song because I just met them a couple of
months ago when we wrote the song. So uh, the
fact that we didn't know each other going into it
and now we're just like, you know, the best the buds.
I guess I can. I can speak for myself. I
don't know about you asked, but I'm really excited that

(01:26):
we actually got a song, not just a song, d
song for the for the summer. From that right, great
guys really really, really extremely talented, very welcoming, which is
you know, like when you're just walking to a room
with a group of people that you haven't met before
can be a little intimidating. So I'm really grateful that
they're easygoing, really funny and really welcoming. And Shooting Star

(01:49):
is what what we are now.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I think.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Guys going to talk about it. Zach Colton that Garrett
talk about this one of just the arrangement and working
with a fantastic artist and Satcha to put this together.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Absolutely, we've been a fan of hers for you know,
a couple of years, been hearing her name all around,
and you know, our teams let us know that she
was going to be in Nashville writing, so we wanted
the opportunity to get in the room together, and like
she said, it was, you know, just we really clicked
right away, had a great chemistry, and we threw out
this idea called Shooting Star and we talked about it,

(02:22):
and this song is basically all about two people who
had something really special, like kind of a big moment
and it, for whatever reason, it burned out and they're
kind of wondering about about it now and wondering what
if as they you know, look up into the sky,
and we just feel like, you know, we've all probably
been there at some point or another where you wonder
what if something had worked out differently with someone. And

(02:45):
the song ended up just sounding you know, very anthemic,
very energetic, which we love to listen to, and like
she said, it's going to be perfect for summer and
we can't wait for people to hear it.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, I love this arrangement too. Talk about the co
writing too, coming together Cole Miracle of course, Martinez great
producers co writing with you guys too. Always on this
great to have such great talent write great songs with
you guys.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, we were always fortunate enough. I
feel like Nashville is full of the greatest songwriters in
the world, and so anytime you get to step in
a room with people who are talented as what they are,
it's always a special day. And I know that Cole
has become really close with us, so is Sam. We've
had them out on the road with us writing, and

(03:30):
so it just made sense. I mean, they're unbelievable writers,
and I feel like they get the direction of Sasha
and they get the direction of Wrestless Road. And I
think that's also super important when you're going into the
room with writers, of knowing each other's music and knowing
you know the direction, that helps the direction of the
song move forward. And for us, I know when we

(03:50):
walked in the room that day, it did not take
long for us to land on a title and for
this thing to be written and done and recorded and
so and it doesn't always happen like that. So that
just that just speaks to Sasha, that speaks to Cole
and to Sam of how incredible the people that were
you guys, thank you, but just how incredible the people

(04:14):
were in the room that day, and it doesn't always
happen like that, so we're really fortunate.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
No doubt. And SAGI can't forget about the producers. I mean,
Jimmy Robbins worked with Landy Wilson, Maddie and Tay, so
many great producers. Just important as the co writers on
this too are the producers Sacchia the same way, and
I love this talk about the producers and choosing for
this clam.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yeah, Jimmy Robbins and Eric archiz Uh they've produced the
greater half of my recently released album Women in the Mirror,
So when this song came about, I was thinking, Okay,
we got to get into their hands because I mean,
again like they just have a track record of songs
doing so well and I just felt like they're they're
going to just entirely level up with this single, and

(04:59):
it just so happens that they did what they do best,
just made a great song out of it. And I'm
really excited to see all the support that we're getting
even from radio, from you guys, thank you, and really
excited to see what the result of it's going to
be this summer.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And guys, I know we'll love to have you back
to as well as Zach Colton Garrett talk about this
latest single, Last Thing I Deserve, and then of course
the tour coming up for you guys always busy staying
on the road too.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Yeah, oh, Last Thing I Deserves our latest single, and.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, we love that song.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
You know, we thought it was really important to highlight
the special women in our lives. You know, we're all
in committed relationships and you know, you know, behind every
strong man is a great woman, and we just thought
it was really important to highlight how important they are
to us. And you know, they've supported us for years
as we've gone through this journey. You know, it's not
an easy ask to you know, ask your partner to

(05:52):
you know, put up with you being gone and having
so many things to do and staying busy, but you know,
all of our girls have really supported us and over
the years and have been you know, our rocks. So
when we went in to record this one, we thought
it was very special and very important to record it.
And you know, we've been getting some great feedback. You know,
people people love the song. It's been it's been streaming
great and yeah, we just we just really thought it

(06:14):
was a great one to put out and we're very
happy how it turned out.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
