Speaker 2 (01:42):
Hour today, right, you see, y'all y'all should do that too.
I put down there.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I put down the can years ago when I gave
up drinking and it became a dad. So I did that,
and then I was got the bars back instead of
the cans lifting the bars now.
Speaker 8 (01:58):
So it was it was hard to do. It was hard,
very hard. There's hope for you. You don't have to
be a quitter forever. They grow up and.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, there's there's hope, all right, I know there's there's
a Now I'll say this occasional the heart and I
say the hard stuff O casual glass of wine if
the wife and I go out or something. You know,
it's kind of like, you know, a little red wine
or something. But all the hard stuff I gave that
ship up right right, me too. I think I had
like we went to we did the show from from
Nashville and c RS this year, and I had somebody
(02:31):
gave me went to the New Faces event and I
think somebody gave me a ticket and I think I drank.
I was I was such a just like a lightweight.
I drank like a half of Michelob or maybe a
Michelob and I was that was if in the trash.
I just couldn't stand there. And it was only because
somebody gave me a free ticket, like here, drink this,
and I'm like, okay, cool whatever, so just.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Freak oh open bar is easy, easy self for me.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Open. But yeah, absolutely, we just lose.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
We just lost. Yeah, we lost.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Here's Johnny, all right, Jesse, you're not supposed to yeah, huh.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah what.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Gets on? That's all I was gonna do. Mm hmm,
I can't see my screen, guys, Min's kind of a
little too.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
We can see you. You're good, Oh wow, turning up
my brightness, did wonders?
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I should go get my cheeterers on, you know, need
to you know what we look like? Uh mm hmmm.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Well it's four o one. Let's start brother, all.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Right, we can roll into it if he pops in
all all here the noise of the bottom and we
can just get him in.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
All right, So here we go. All right, sure, all
my buttons are good. There should be good. All right, Here.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
We go three two and one, and welcome inside the
backstage pass. Of course, the brand new week is the
first week of October, and looking forward to a little
bit of R and R coming up here in a
few weeks. Of course, never tearly to start planning for Christmas, Thanksgiving,
all that good stuff out there for you guys listening in.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
The Bay Area.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
KYBN ninety eight point one, your Bay Area broadcasting network.
Are friends at the Sports Guys podcast dot com, powered
by that very website, and of course THWN dot org
and out there any time at iHeartRadio Podcast. Of course,
some great shows coming up over the next few weeks,
including the legend, the myth the man himself, Brandell Locke.
Remember Marty Stewart coming up here on the program after
(04:54):
a great concert the other night. And of course our
thanks to Kenny, Wayne Shepherd and Bobby Rush for having
us out at the.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Golden Nugget the other night. Please to welcome in a
lot of guys.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
This is gonna be the biggest interview I think I've
done with six members of the group that you guys
have to hear about here on the backstage Pass Till
You Ride.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
I love the name of them too as well. The
guys join us here.
Speaker 9 (05:13):
What's going on for us, man, thanks for having us.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
We appreciate you being with us. So I'll tell you what.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Ronald will start right there too, because I love first
of all, your name. I just love that, Ronald All.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
To the same time, Hey, tell us a little bit
about you guys here on the Texas charts and of
course coming together to form this group. Here a little
bit of backstory and just how you guys kind of
met and got together to form what is now till
you ride right on up.
Speaker 8 (05:38):
So it started about three years ago, a little bit
a little bit longer than three years ago, but not much.
It was myself and Dave, the lead singer, and we
just kind of got together and we're like, hey, man,
let's uh, let's go ahead and put together, you know,
a legit band, and let's see what we can do.
You know, let's let's move forward, Let's not let's not
you know, just try to do it on a local level.
(06:00):
Let's take it all the way. You know, we've all
been in the music industry for you know, quite a
while now, you know, in and out of bands, and
you know, some of us have gone a little higher
than others, and some of us, you know, just keep
grinding along at certain pace, but overall we started building
the band and we had Jesse on bass, who was
(06:20):
one of the original guys, and then we had a
couple other guys.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Along the way that just weren't quite a fit or
the piece.
Speaker 8 (06:27):
And so intro Johnny Ray Blackwell, the six string Gunslinger,
brought him in there and he started, you know, slashing
it up pretty good and saying, hey, you know, he
was a more of a bluesy rocker, metal kind of guy.
It still is at heart, but has this very nice,
(06:48):
beautiful clean sound. They can get raw and nasty when
we need him to. And then we were like, well, man,
we need another piece of this puzzle. What can we do,
you know? And so we found Deuce Shako uh straight
up and he's a keyboard, guitar, drums, anything, it's an
(07:08):
instrument he plays and and we actually were in a
studio recording some of our first cuts that we that
we did about three years ago. And so about a
year later, we go in the studio and Deuce is
the engineer in the studio and I looked at him
and I was like, hey, man, I said, you you
want to do this with us? That kind of thing,
(07:30):
you know, and he was like, oh yeah. And so
first you know, was kind of bringing him in as
a sound engineer and and I was like, no, no, no,
we're gonna bring him in as a as a full
time player. And so now introduced Shako rhythm guitar, last keyboards,
and then we had Leon Jeffries, who plays rhythm guitar.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
I skip past face on here.
Speaker 8 (07:53):
Uh he was right after Jesse, right before Johnny, and
then uh, just recently, I would say, what three weeks ago,
is that right, Johnny?
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Three weeks ago Jesse? Yeah, wet in cody.
Speaker 8 (08:10):
And he is going to play rhythm guitar and backing vocals.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
So we're going to actually be seven strong.
Speaker 8 (08:17):
And you know, we've had some pretty decent success with
our first single that we put out, Pear Don't Care,
rose to number one on the Texas Country Music Charts
in fourteen weeks. And we now have our second cut,
Guitar in My Hand, that is now at number twenty
one as of last Thursday on the Texas Country Music Charts.
(08:39):
And man, we're pretty stoked and excited and we really
appreciate you having us on to kind of, you know,
talk about us and you know, push us out there
to all your fans and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
But at the end of the day, the name till
you ride.
Speaker 8 (08:53):
Me and Dave are skiers, and so we were in
Colorado and I was SI and days it's like.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
You know, that's a cool name, and I'm like, yeah,
that's a cool name.
Speaker 8 (09:02):
We'll just drop the eye and put in a youth,
you know, so it'll you and you know that that
has a lot of different meanings if you think about it,
but we'll just leave that to the imagination. But until
you ride a bike a motorcycle, you know, stell on
this show for it.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Yeah, I love that you talked about that.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
And everybody does their part, and of course this is
the largest band I've ever had here on the show,
which is a good thing too, because everybody brings something different.
And Jesse talk a little bit about this, because everybody
is so you know, kind of entrenched in what they're doing,
and you know, it brings something specifically, whether it's background
vocals or playing select instruments, things like that, And I
love that, you know, variety is kind of the spice
of life, and that's what you guys are all about
(09:42):
to and having fun with your music, right.
Speaker 10 (09:44):
Oh yeah, like I said rom saying yeah, like me personally,
I just play bass. I tried to sing, but they
keep them off the mic all the time, standing over
there in the corner by yourself, like.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
I love it.
Speaker 10 (10:01):
But like background, like my background. I used to do
tom music. That's why I started all my music. Then
I started getting to a little bit of a rock
and roll and you know, and all the other cover cover.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Tunes and stuff.
Speaker 10 (10:13):
And I said, I got with these guys a little
while ago, like about five.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Seven years ago maybe ah, and.
Speaker 10 (10:23):
They kicked me out as this one band I was with,
and it got with them, and it's been a great.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Move, to be honest with you, and I love it.
I love these guys.
Speaker 10 (10:31):
Got the great I said, Johnny Hello, the guitar player Ron,
he could play his drums like you know, it's loud
and heavy, which is awesome, you know, because there's a
lot of drums out there to play soft, at least
where I came from. And then Cody come in and
he's a streamer, ain't there right?
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Cody Wells on some rock music growing up.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
So that's where I was going next.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
As far as influences, Cody, tell me about that's and
like the rock or classic rock or maybe some Ossie
or something like that.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Give me some of that factory.
Speaker 11 (11:09):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
So growing up, first song I ever learned on it
it was out on an acoustic guitar. My dad was
not gonna get me an electric, so I got an
acoustic guitar. First song I ever learned was iron Man
so Ozzie Black Sabbath. Those were like my you know,
my first influences and some music. And for the last
three years that's what I've been doing, is cover bands
(11:30):
and tribute bands. And I've also had you know, doing
my own stuff. But you know, the guys that I
was with didn't want to go anywhere with it.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
So then two.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Weeks after I was about to take a hiatus, Ron
gives me a call and I joined. And I love
every single one of these dudes, man, Like after three
weeks of being with them, it's like we've been together
for a year.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
I mean, the.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Connections good, and we feed off of each other so
well we can. And what I love the most too,
is we communicate without saying anything.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
You please look at each other.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
I just know what we're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
It's awesome.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
I love that too.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
We got a place some music here two Ron mentioned
that one and went to number one there too on
that two triple I report.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
We'll have a couple of those today too.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Of course, the guitar in my hand is at number
twenty one right now, and bear don't care.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
I never knew a night word did care?
Speaker 1 (12:23):

Welcome to another edition of Backstage Pass powered by the
Sports Guys Podcast with your host Brandon Morell.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
And back here on the Backstage Pass with the guys
from Until You Ride. It's Ron, it's Jesse, it's Cody,
it's Deuce out there too as well, and of course
our friends Johnny Ray here on the backstage pass of
course that we're that's single there number one on that
T Triple R Report out there. Beer don't care in
a I tell you, Ron, I never knew a night
where it did care, No doubt about it too, because
we've all been there too, had those nights where yeah,
(15:06):
you forget where you were, you didn't make it home,
like I said, you maybe gotten to fight at a bar.
Shouldn't say that, nor do we condone that here on
the backstage past. But I can tell you this that
none of the body was perfect when you got into
it and argument with somebody. And so this song, I
can see why it.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Went number one.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
It's such a jam for people out there too, and
for all the Texas listeners if they have not heard it,
I encourage him to go download the track right now.
Tell us the idea behind this with Ron and how
this came about.
Speaker 8 (15:29):
So Anthony Smith, who is a knocking writer out of Nashville,
has many number one hits nationally. He's also on the
C sack board and everything else who is now currently
our manager wrote this song with Chris Young and some
other guys names eluding me. I apologize. I'll get that
(15:52):
in a second. But they wrote it. And you know,
we met Anthony in Nashville and we sat down with
him one day for about four hours at this place
called Red Door and that, and he just we just
all started talking getting to know each other. I mean,
he's got so many people that contact him every day
and want to talk to him, and you know, just
(16:14):
get him to write music for him, so on and
so forth.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (16:19):
He just we had a mutual friend, Jen that knew
him very well, and she said, just you know, trust me,
sit down with these guys.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Give just give him a chance. You know, hear him
out for a minute. So we did.
Speaker 8 (16:32):
He sat down with him, We all talked. We were
there what about four hour five hours? Guys, right, you
remember hanging hanging out know what we do. Yeah, And
so we just know each other. And then you know,
a couple of weeks later we were talking on the
phone and then he was like, hey, I got I
think it's perfect for you guys.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Beard don't care.
Speaker 8 (16:52):
And I'm like, yeah, brother, We got to know. It's
real quick, over and over target while hit the target. So,
you know, he los the other stuff that we'd already written,
you know that we that we've been playing for a while,
and he's like, hey, I got this for you.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
And so that's Enter Beard up there and a couple
other songs.
Speaker 8 (17:15):
So we went to Nashville, did all the recordings and whatnot,
and then came back and he said, you know, let's
we're going to do this, and it's like, yeah, let's
do this. So we we put the song out boom.
Greg Sachs, our promoter. He looked at it, he goes, man,
this a great song. He's like, what about this song?
What about this song? What about this?
Speaker 2 (17:33):
And Anthony you know, kind of told me, hey, listen,
let's let's put this.
Speaker 8 (17:36):
One out first. Trust me, we got more in the
in the cachet over here. So he did put it out,
fourteen weeks hit it and then he's like, hey, I
got some more stuff for you boys, right, you know,
and him the next the.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Next one, and the next one. But man, it's been
really we've been very very.
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Fortunate to have such a powerhouse like Anthony on our side.
You know, he is just as much a part of
Till You Ride Now as any of us, you know,
as our manager, our guide, and he you know he does.
He's the hardest working manager I know. He does stuff
most managers don't do. And he's not mentioned. He's a
producer and a writer and a hell of a musician too.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Just a little bit of everything to a jack of
all trades, no doubt. It comes down to it, all right, dude.
So I got to bring you into this one too.
This is always a fun time for country music. I
love it because not only learning about acts as I've
learned about you guys just in the past few weeks too,
and just congratulations on the top of that Texas charts,
because I mean, the music really speaks to the audience
out there and resonates with a lot of fans, including
(18:40):
the people that I had talked to that the other
night at the Texas Rice Festival. I was actually talking
about you as I went out there to cover the
Marty Stewart show and then just see some of the
great talent too. Could see you guys playing a festival
like that one day out there and winning, which brings
out a crowd. It says something to a lot about it,
you know, Douce with the the great acts that are
in country music today, I can't remember maybe a time
(19:01):
since nineties country if that was my favorite era growing up,
then it was this hot right now between Texas acts
and Nashville recording artists talk about just your influence reduced
a little bit and how healthy this industry is right now.
Speaker 16 (19:13):
Well, I have a pretty eclectic background in music. I've
been playing with my whole life. I've been through the.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Gospel country, the old country, the new country, hip hop, rap, reggae.
Speaker 16 (19:27):
I have a Zytiko ban which is Louisiana Aga. That's
where I'm from. I did an eighties rock thing for
about five years, and I've also had a lot of
experience with the actual older country market. But Texas country
versus the Masuelle country thing now it's kind of all
(19:48):
mergent man. It's kind of what we're at with the
two year Rode Project is pretty much a representation of
the current industry.
Speaker 17 (19:56):
Texas country and so much Texas country, you know, it's
a uh, it's.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Kind of with with the Internet allowing us to gain
bigger and better audiences, you.
Speaker 17 (20:07):
Know, instead of just Texas. You know, it still has
its own market, still has its own radio, and it
still has his own area where they're.
Speaker 16 (20:13):
Where everything's being broadcast. Uh, there's almost really not a difference.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
You know, there's good music, it's kind of what was
actually selling and uh, the ability to bring it from
the rock era to where it meets that has that
little edge but still has that smoothness where they can dance,
you know, and.
Speaker 17 (20:31):
It's not so Uh you got the hip hop influences.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
That's pretty much what the guys today, the jelly Rolls
and these guys. So it's just got a lot of
eclectic Uh. I don't see a separation like you know,
like with Pat Green and as opposed to Clint Black
and those guys in that era.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Yeah, it's just there's a lot of you mentioned access
there too. They're kind of doing their thing and I
love it.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Man.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
A lot of music is so something you know to
keep around to you.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
I saw so many people just wearing hats out there,
you know, supporting artists and you know, keeping it around
kind of like trying to bring back us for ourselves,
like a live DJ is coming back. When I started
the radio, there was always like a live DJ out
there doing a show like this and promoting it, and then
of course everything becomes syndicated. I guess something's wrong with
that too. But for me, I always like, you know,
believing in live music promoted. Uh, put artists out there,
have fans learn a lot more about you know, artists
(21:23):
and and uh you know their background story and Johnny Gray,
give me a little bit about your yourself and your
connection with the band, because it kind of feels like
you guys, you know, really hang out outside of just
doing music.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
There's this band cohesive. It's or camaraderie I feel right.
Speaker 18 (21:37):
Oh yes, sir, man, Ron is my brother, I mean everyone,
Jesse's my brother, Cody's my brother, Deuce is my brother.
But we have such a strong connection connection as a band,
you know that goes beyond music. You know, our musical
ties and our musical connection is very strong. But even
on a personal level, man, these guys are you know
(21:58):
guys I trust and you know, I'm believe in one
hundred percent and they got my back and I got
their back you know, all day.
Speaker 9 (22:07):
But uh yeah, man, it's it's it's been a blessing, dude.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
To work with these guys.
Speaker 9 (22:11):
Man awesome musicianship, just some amazing.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Talent in the room.
Speaker 18 (22:16):
Man, I can't even can't even begin to tell you
the talent these guys have.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Yeah, I love it too, and I love to give
that name out there till you ride band dot Com.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I make sure you guys check them out across all
the DSPs out there.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
We're gonna play the one Ron talked about right now

Till You Rideman dot com at Single Guitar in My
Hand is at number twenty one across the two Triple
R Report and also the DSPs out there for digital streaming.
Back here KYBN ninety eight point one, your Bay Area
Broadcasting Network and our friends THWN dot org. iHeartRadio podcast
empowered by the Sports Guys Podcast dot com. A great
(25:39):
weekend of shows out there. If you guys missed anything,
it's on the website out there. Of course, Kenny Wayne Shepard,
Bobby Rushed a big tour coming to an end, and
of course this past weekend Marty Stewart out there at
the Texas Rice Festival in Winning, Texas. So Ron, we
got to talk about this when you mentioned number twenty
one and climbing with that disclaimer there too, because it
is climbing guitar in my hand, love this arrangement.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
How did this come to go? Will we are fortunate again?
Mister Anthony Smith?
Speaker 8 (26:05):
He goes another one for you, and so he brought
this to us and he goes, I think this is
a great idea, something that's going to be fantastic for
this band, and man Ding ding Ding nailed it again.
I mean, the essence of who we are as a
band is wrapped in that song as well as we
have some beautiful, wonderful ballads as well that we will
(26:29):
be releasing here shortly. So we're we're trying to show
everybody all the facets of Whutilla right, Like you know,
Beard Don't Care is a beer stomping country country boy anthem,
and then you've got guitar in my hand, which is
a little more edgy, dirty red dirt, and then we've
(26:49):
got a couple others coming right after that. It's going
to show you that pretty ballad you know, dance your
girl around dance floor, slow kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I can't wait to see what's next to you coming
up there too, as far as, like you said, the
ballance coming out too, because you mentioned you got one
that's edgy, you got one it's like and I love
it because it's all it's just good Texas country type
music and it's just good music, like like Deuce was saying,
in general, country is country and if the song is
going to deliver out there, no matter who you work with,
it's just a great song and it's gonna sit there
and resonate with fans.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
All right.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
So, when not doing music, and I'm gonna start with
you and kind of go around the horn here too
with this one, Ron, what do you like to do
for fun and kind of hobbies when not doing music?
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Well, I like to play drums.
Speaker 8 (27:33):
Man I was a metal drummer for a lot of years,
and rock drummer and then country and man, I really
do just love playing drums, but I also like the Snowski.
I'm a big time snow and uh you know, I
like whiskey. Don't get me wrong. I like whiskey, but
water too. But uh you know, that's pretty much that's me.
(27:56):
I mean, I try to stay busy all the time.
I don't see well too.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Here's that, Jesse, what you got a little little downtime?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
What do you like to do for fun? I like
to do for fun puts the other bands.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Because I love Music's awesome. And also do I like?
I love fish? Oh yeah, visit. I gotta visit my cousin.
Speaker 10 (28:19):
We'll go out towards the bay out there at Matagorda
and try to catch something.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
I look a lot of fun out there.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
I always say, any bad day of fishing beats any
day a good day at work. I said, I'll say,
to do for fun?
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Uh, well, other than playing guitar, I mean, I'm actually
kind of a super nerd man. I'm a gamer collector
and occasionally like going to the beach every year. And
now I'm just pretty laid back man. I really don't
do anything too interesting. I'm kind of a I like
to stay in my own place. It's kind of boring, honestly, soude, dude.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
I I do like the.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
I'my as we speak, Dude, I'm.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
Like, I'm out all the time, and so getting that
solace of just nothingness is great, very much. Yeah, I
twiddled my thumbs for fun football.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
What'd you got? Johnnyson?
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Man?
Speaker 2 (29:28):
What can I say to you? Don't man?
Speaker 18 (29:30):
Other than music, brother, Shoot, I'll smoke and I drink.
I like going, uh, going to see other bands. I
really like seeing other bands play, you know, live music
really cool. And other than that, man, just being around
my family, being around my friends, dude, that's about it.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah, hanging out too. Dude's run up there with him
to a little smoking, little drinking. What do you like
to do for fun?
Speaker 19 (29:54):
Definitely for friendly all day every day. That's shadow just
what I do. I'm kind of with Cody. I'm a
nerd scientist at the top of my thing. I can
listen to a lecture all day. You know about a
bunch of conspiracies, things that's true, not true. But ultimately
I like to build.
Speaker 16 (30:11):
I'm a builder. I like houses and you know, anything
that needs to be constructed. I'm all of a buildings.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
I love that too.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
All right, So we've had a lot of good movies
come out this year in twenty twenty five, and uh,
I guess we'll do kind of a two part of
here your favorite movie that's twenty twenty five so far,
and Ronal'll start here with you and then you got
to tell me if you're a DC or a Marvel guy.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Well, I could say Marvel and man, be honest, I
haven't seen a movie this year either, man. Music wise,
I've watched a couple of series that worked, small of fun.
Speaker 8 (30:55):
I'll catch a show here and there. I like that
that Navy Seal show.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, oh yeah, war Zone, yeah, I like that cool.
Speaker 8 (31:07):
Other than that, it's like, honestly, man, I'm guilty of
not actually seeing it, but I.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Can tell you all about music that's good. I'm right
there with you too. I just like to have a
little fun with him too, and it could be a
series two. I throw it out there too, Jesse. What
you got is as far as movies are, Marvel DC guy,
what do you got?
Speaker 7 (31:25):
Well, I'm a Batman fan, but I do love Marvel
stuff at least like I'll get into that, like that
emanated stuff, all the cartoon stuff that's coming out in
the series right now.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
They got a Marvel Zombie I just watched.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
You know, I really liked that one. It was pretty good.
Speaker 10 (31:44):
At the movie theaters, I can't remember I went to
the movies, but I just can't remember what movies I wanted.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
To go see. I know one was I know one
of the one was a Marble one.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Oh, you know what. I went to go see the
Superman movie. That one was a pretty good one I liked.
I enjoyed that Moe.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
That's pretty good. So I know, for me and my
wife's into the my girl she got in. My daughter
got into the Wicked series, which has kind of been
a cool thing over this past year, and it took
me a while to kind of warm up to it.
But of course I like music, so getting get to
watch a movie that sings the entire time Cody, I mean,
for me, when I started first watching it, I was like, well,
let me just try to attempt myself to watch a
little bit more of this. I kind of got into
(32:20):
it after a while, like the second time or whatever.
But I'm now tempted to see since I've not seen
the Broadway play, I want to see, like the ending
of it, so it's kind of weird. But then I'm
like Jesse, you put on Batman for me, and Batman
overdoes these musicals any day. But I commend people can
tell a story out there. Two at the same time, like,
that was the best one i'd saw for twenty twenty
four and leading of this year, because you're right, it's
all streaming now. It's like music. We don't get to
(32:41):
get out very much because you know, being parents and
stuff like that, but when we do, I mean, it's
always nice to catch a good series or something.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
All Right.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
You mentioned Cody kind of being that in that area
of you mentioned he's that term nerdy. But one of
those things we looked out to Marvel DC and what
good movies or series do you like?
Speaker 3 (32:57):
All right?
Speaker 5 (32:58):
Favorite movie this year was Superman movie. And I did
see Fantastic Four. It was not impressed by it, but
was very good.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
I liked that. But bring back the Snyder verse.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
You can argue me on that, but Snyder, but it
was a good movie. That one was a good one.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
It was a good one.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
It kind of brought the Superman back to a lighter realm.
I liked that that it wasn't as dark, but it
was good. Now Marvel is where I go, Venom and
Deadpool my favorite too. I don't like the main characters.
I kind of like those sub anti heroes that are
you know, they're lethal.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
IM a Star Wars movie to come out.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
That's what I'm waiting, dude. I'm writing for that.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Dude on my Star Wars tattoos. I got Darth Maul
right here. Come on, man, give me a good Star
Wars movie.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
You guys, Yeah, you know Star Wars. They clearly need
to work on their instruments more.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Some Star Wars music. I like that, all right, Johnny Ray,
what you got good movies or series? You getting into
Marvel DC?
Speaker 2 (33:59):
What do you like?
Speaker 18 (34:00):
And dude, hands down best movie of twenty twenty five
was that Thinners movie.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
Bro Oh yeah.
Speaker 18 (34:08):
I was at the end of it. You had Eric
Gailes guitar in it. Man, I was in the theaters.
My girl was like having to shut my ass up, dude,
because I was like, that's Eric Gailes, Like he has
that Stevie ray Vaughn tone, like you know it when
you hear it, you know.
Speaker 9 (34:23):
So I was freaking out.
Speaker 11 (34:25):
Man.
Speaker 9 (34:25):
You had Kingfish he was in the movie.
Speaker 18 (34:28):
It was a badass musical movie, man, and it had vampires.
Speaker 9 (34:33):
It had everything in it, dude, it was it was crazy.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
That was a good one too, all right, dudes, what
you got you'll finish with this one, DC Marvel.
Speaker 17 (34:41):
Now that was the only one I actually seen myself
was The Centers. But I'm kind of with Ryn man,
I don't I hadn't had any time to watch anything.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
Or it's really mostly music. And if it ain't the music,
if I ain't building something with my family, you know,
they between the family and highway.
Speaker 17 (35:02):
Time, I don't really have a lot of time.
Speaker 5 (35:10):
I mean if I remember binge watching anything, it's something
brainless like the Office or how I met your mother.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Just just something I could be like. That was good.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
And I know for me, like I said, I'll get
into my football. Man, I love I love sports when
it comes down to it too. And I'll tell you
what that's uh, We've gotta have you guys back and
just do a sports show from next time.
Speaker 8 (35:30):
Football football, brother college football all day.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Look, I don't know anything about that, but I baseball.
Speaker 17 (35:38):
I'm boxing in m m as.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
I can dig that too. That that ESPN thing out
there is kind of cool. I love that one too
at the same time, so it's always good. Well, I
