at least thirty minutes. Get readyto experience some amazing mommy time with these
badass moms sharing their point of viewon relationships, self love, social media,

(00:45):
and play anymore. Hi guys, this is Britt with another episode of
The Bad and Bougie Mos Podcast.I know it's been a while, it's
been since last year, but again, I think if you've actually been following

(01:06):
the show, you know that Iwent ahead and switched to season's versus trying
to put out some shit every singleweek because honestly, my life is just
not unbuilt for that. So soyeah, so I'm back. I hope
you guys are doing great. Itis Saturday, April. It's the fourth.
I want to say it's the fourthbecause April the first was on Wednesday.

(01:27):
I'm assuming yes. So it's Aprilthe fourth's on a Saturday. At
this point, right now, weare in Corona's season. It's not even
spring anymore. It's it's Corona's season. So if you like me, you're
definitely, you know, stuck atthe house with your kids, probably your
significant other, trying to figure outwhat the fuck to do. So I

(01:48):
figured that, hey, you know, I have exhausted all of my options
at this point, at the lastthing that I had to do was honestly
do a podcast, like it wason my to do list and everything.
And I'm like, you know,a god, damn already damn near vacuum
the seiling fans, I vacuum theVNS. I changed the events, okay,

(02:09):
change the oil and shit everything else. And then it's like, oh,
okay, you know what, I'lldo a podcast. So for this
episode, it's just gonna be me. I'm going to talk about how it's
been for me and being quarantine, what I'm going what I'm doing to actually
make sure I get my space inmy time when it comes to, you

(02:30):
know, having the kids and myhusband here all day, every day twenty
first seven and just having to staymotivated you know, keeping everything just upbeat
of course, you know, whenyou're stuck in the house. Went because
well, wait, let me saythis. First of all, I normally
don't go out a lot anyway.I mean, I have my awesome set

(02:51):
of friends that I would go partywith and you know, things like that.
But as far as just being outand about, um, that definitely
wasn't my you know, my lane. So just the fact that now someone's
telling me I have to stay home, I'm like, well, damn,
I need to get out, Like, you know, you trying to shorten,
shorten down my target runs. You'retrying to shorten down you know,

(03:14):
you're going to Starbucks. Which that'sa whole different story because here the starbus
is closed completely. So I've lostlike three pounds, which is definitely a
good thing. But I do missmy Starbucks run and seeing my um my,
you know, my baristas and thingslike that. But um, yeah,
so we're gonna just talk about thequarantine. Um of course, you

(03:38):
know, I want to know howyou guys are doing. Guess for us,
you know, being Mom's house.Everything going as virtual learning they call
it aka, throw a packet atyour face and call it a day.
You know, and see what allhas been going on in your world.
In your world already had like onedrink already. Yeah, that's another story,

(04:00):
all right, So get it started. So of course, um,
if y'all don't know, I'm basedin Atlanta, Georgia, and we have
been kinda on a semi quarantine, you know, semi stay at home type
thing since the middle of March, the day that the kids came. I
want to say, the last dayfor the kids, which March twelfth,

(04:23):
if I'm not mistaken. So they'vebeen home for at least a full two
weeks. As for us, youknow, making sure that they do their
work. Of course, you guysknow, I have three kids that's in
the house. It's all five together, which, um, that's definitely another
thing. We haven't been able toget our other two kids since this whole

(04:44):
ordeal came down, so we're definitelymissing them a lot, and um,
you know, really want everything togo back to regular. But as for
us with the kids that are alreadyin the house, the scheduling, it's
it was non existent at that point. This at the beginning, it was
more so like you know, okay, what the hell is going on of

(05:04):
course I'm confused, the kids areconfused. We're like, what we're gonna
do. So at the beginning,we're waking up ten o'clock, you know,
eating cereal, watching TV, andit's like, oh, you know,
y'all need to get your work done. So of course they're going to
computer's law going print out package. For my middle son because his teachers at
this point was not doing any typeof virtual learning. But my daughter,

(05:29):
they definitely already been on Google Classroomfor the most part, even throughout the
regular school year, so they kindof had things that was downpad, to
be honest, but as far asmy middle son, they were all over
the place like they didn't know whatthey were doing. So printing out packages
of course, you know, withhim, he's coming up asking me one
hundred and fifty million dollar questions, and of course Mommy still has to work

(05:51):
because I have to keep you know, my clients up today as far as
with their projects and things like that. So that definitely was it was a
struggle for me just trying to figureout, okay, put out, you
know, set aside two hours towork with him on his homework, and
then set out, you know, sometimes to work with my clients, so

(06:13):
that has definitely been a change whilewe're on quarantine. Luckily for us,
my house is big enough for everybodyto kind of be in their own area,
so I'm you know, definitely inmy office with a locked door.
The kids are in their study roomdoing their thing, and then my husband
is down in the adult area onwatching TV. Because you know, with

(06:34):
him and his job, obviously hegot everything down past He's able to do,
you know, two things at onceand multitasks, which I cannot do.
I have to say, focused onone thing. So that's how everything
is gone with the kids and thembeing at home supposedly at the spring break
because this week is spring break,so that means I won't be teacher bay

(06:56):
at this point. So with springbreak coming up, supposedly once they go
back to school, they're supposed tohave this whole structure curriculum where they log
on at eight o'clock, which isgoing to be a struggle for me because
I'm not a morning person at all, and since Starbucks is you know,
well, I could just have coffeeat the house, but who wants to
do that? But you know, since I'm not trying to really wake up

(07:21):
now, I'm going to be onand now I'm gonna have to be.
It's pretty much me bad being regulartaking him to school and shit. But
they're supposed to have this structured thestructure agenda where the teacher laws on giving
structural time and then they do theirlittle thing and all that stuff, so
we will see how that goes.I'm also building their schedule for the three

(07:44):
year old. Well he's not threeto two year old, my bad.
He is out of daycare at thispoint since his daycare has closed, so
he's just been doing a lot ofindependent play. I did buy him a
couple of things from Target as faras helping him with his number as well
as trying to keep up like sightwords and things like things like that.
But I also downloaded an app calledHomer. It's h O m e Er,

(08:09):
which I'm still trying it out,so if you guys know anything about
it or have tried to let meknow before my free trial is up,
because I don't. I don't gotto pay the ten dollars of things.
Shit, But I downloaded. Helikes it, has a lot of games.
It is supposed to teach them howto read at a certain age,
but definitely a lot of clicking playthings you know, the kids like right

(08:31):
now on the iPad. So it'scool. I'll let you know, you
know how that goes. But hopefullywhen spring break gets here, I would
definitely have agendas for everybody. Itwould make my life easier and make their
life easier and hopefully I have lessquestions throughout the day. All right,
moving on, So as far asmy everyday life, you guys know that

(08:54):
I'm a Target girl to the youknow, to the t. So I've
recently, um, since I'm sucha drummer fold, I have not been
a Target at all. I justdo drive through only. But for the
Target that's here with me. Um, they have a thing where now,

(09:15):
of course, if it's like anobstantial product, you technically can't buy it
and have it through drive through. And it says that on the site saying,
you know, due to the limitof quality quantity that we have in
the store, this is not youknow, you can't purchase this for drive
through. Fuck it. So umso that has been a struggle. So
I've been picking and choose on whatI get from Target because I refuse to

(09:37):
go in there. Um, Ido have masks and gloves and things like
that. But I just I gottaget a handle on everything because my honestly
greatest fear is me catching it.I'm okay because you know, I take
my vitamins, I e healthy,YadA, YadA YadA, but me passing
it on to you know, someonein my family and they might not be

(09:58):
okay. So I try my bestto kind of stay my distance when it
comes to me being in the publicor I just order some shit haven't sent
here, you know, Just tryingto do the best I can to make
sure that I'm not just out andabout just running freely like it ain't nothing.
So, yes, my target runshave been cut short, which makes
me happy. I have been,I honestly been saving a lot of money,

(10:24):
y'all, like a lot um.I haven't been shopping much because that's
really ain't shit for me to buyit since I can't go anywhere. Definitely,
alcohol and take has been, youknow, it has increased. We
go to the liquor store. Probablythis might have been our third time,
I know the hobby. He's actuallyout on a liquor run at this At

(10:45):
this point, we ran out ofGrandmaiya and I wanted to make some margaritas.
So he went to the liquor storeto go buy some more Grandmaya.
But um, you know, wewe drink in you know, in moderation,
you guys, you know we mighthave one here. I'm not day
drinking while I'm you know, workingwith the kids or whatever, which is
not a problem because I can,you know, definitely do that, but

(11:09):
just to let y'all know, that'snot what we're doing. So target has
been cut short. Of course, every I know, my Starbucks have been
cut short. I used to goevery single day, grab my coffee,
speak to my people. Sometimes Iwould work at Starbus just to get out
the house, just get some freshair. Now I can't do that anymore.
So at the end of the day, the conclusion to this is for

(11:30):
us with the quarantine, it sucks. I miss my friends. I missed
my wine time with my friends.I miss seeing all my friends, and
I missed being out. As faras our hooka business, if you don't
know, me and my husband woulddo on a hooka mobile hooka business called
hustling Blow. Look it up onInstagram follow us. It's been put on

(11:52):
hold because because oh COVID nineteen,So We do still smoke kuka at the
house, but as forrest doing ourprivate parties and our brunches and things like
that, that has been put onhold. So I've been working u with
an SBA trying to see if wecould get some type of loan to kind

(12:15):
of you know, kishion us orwhatever for the blow. But that's a
whole, that's a whole another podcaston the business side, you know,
trying to apply for that and youknow, making sure you have all your
paperwork in order and all that. But um, yeah, so yeah,
I'm just after honestly, after sayingall that, it has been a lot

(12:37):
as far as everything that's going on. So yeah, praying. Um oh,
speaking of press. So while thistime has been happening, guess Forrest
being quarantined in the COVID nineteen.Um, my son's grandfather passed away.
So my ex husband's dad, Um, he did come down with COVID at

(13:00):
nineteen, developed from pneumonia and heactually passed away. So that was pretty
sad. Still dealing through that.Now. We're not able to have a
funeral at this point because of theCOVID nineteen But um, it's just crazy
because the day that we found outhe passed away. Mason actually lost his

(13:20):
tooth the same night. So thenext day, the tooth Fairy air quotes
at the whispergers, He's like, right outside the door. But the tooth
Fairy actually sent a very nice noteand said, you know, thank you
for the tooth. I really appreciatedyou know, make sure you keep brushing
your teeth and um, and thathis grandparents said hello. So he was

(13:43):
like, oh my god, that'sso cool that the twoth Fairy gets of
visit Heaven, like she got tosee him. I'm so happy they're okay.
So that definitely brightened his world.I'm happy that the tooth Fairy was
able to do that so um soyeah. So that and also one of
our very close family friends also hadCOVID nineteen and passed away. So honestly,

(14:07):
this is definitely hitting home for us. The reason why I'm not like
bawling crying right now is because it'sbeen at least two weeks and that has
passed. I might cry like lateron today, but as forests, right
now, I came to terms withit. I'm okay ish. It's definitely

(14:30):
a sad thing. My friend thatpassed away. His name was Leon.
A lot of people knew him. He's definitely came to a couple of our
kid bats at the house. Sowhen we did post about him on my
Facebook page, I definitely had alot of my awesome friends reached out and
just you know, talk about thehappy times to a town because he was
amazing. Now I'm about to cry, but he was amazing and and he

(14:56):
is definitely going to be missed. So so yeah, I didn't think I
was gonna cry, but or okay, all ain't moving on. So enough
about the COVID nineteen. I hopeyou guys are being awesome. To make
sure you wash your hands, stayinside, don't do a lot of target

(15:18):
warns, even though that's probably likeour favorite things to do right now,
but it don't even go to thestore, like the story is even crazy
as well, so you know, just to make sure you stay safe.
As far as potty training, SoI know, y'all if y'all been following
my Instagram page a little while andthen you know that we have been in

(15:39):
the process of potty training Raymonton forthe past couple of months. So the
last I think the last update thatI gave is that he would go when
we actually placed him on the pot. So you know, I have of
course, how my timer said thatevery hour on the hour, I'll put
him on the plot pot he wouldgo like no problem. But now it's

(16:00):
kind of getting into the transition orwhere he needs to go by himself or
at least tell us he needs togo so we could put them on.
So honestly, recently, guys probablylie. In that last couple of days,
he's actually been telling us that hehas to go. So the first
person that he told and you knowhe told him he actually went was Kaylin,

(16:22):
his sister, so my daughter. He actually was like, hey,
Kaylin, I gotta go peepee andhe went. And then this morning he
actually told me that he had togo. So I finally think he has
it down as far as um whatthe sensation is. So maybe for my
honestly opinion, I think that itcomes from a maturity standpoint, like Okay,

(16:45):
yeah, you can probably train thesekids, you know, when they're
super young or whatever, like theytheir bodies are able to you know,
be trained honestly, kind of likea puppy, Like you can train a
puppy to go at a certain timeand to be fine. But for them
to get the concept of oh shit, I gotta go poop or oh I
gotta go pee, I honestly thinkthat just comes with time and maturity.

(17:10):
So now he is wearing his youknow, his little underwear all day,
every day. Shout out to PJ. Mass. So he's wearing his little
underwear all day and and he's doinggood. Only time we actually put a
pull up on him, it's whenwe lay him down for nap time and
also overnight. So definitely huggin savingmore money on the pockets because you know,

(17:33):
now I want got to buy allthese damn pull ups. Um oh
and shout out. First of all, you know, I already told y'all
that the daycare was closed, sothat means I'm saving money on a daycare,
and them ships was costing me overtwo hundreds some dollars a week,
so your girl's banking right now.I'm definitely gonna put on the mask and
go shop maybe for some new flipflops at Old Navy once everything opens back

(17:56):
up, Like I ain't gonna spursbomba spurs because y'all know, oh nay,
how they want dollar shoe sale.I mean their football sale for the
summertime. But shit, it mightnot be no summer. I don't know,
all right, So that's how theparty training going. I'm trying to
think what else's it's going on.I want to say that might be it.

(18:18):
Hopefully, since I do have youknow, more time on my hands,
I would definitely try to keep youknow on the podcast going, maybe
not every week. I am goingto be in the process of actually doing
more life on Instagram. I'm nota live person to be honest, like,
I don't like the camera. That'swhy I chose to do a podcast

(18:38):
because I'm more comfortable talking versus beingin front of a camera because my facial
expression should be like all over theplace. But I know, I definitely
have a lot of people that Ifollow or you know, also a couple
of friends that there are like somebadass moms because you know, we're a
bandaboojee moms, badass moms that youguys would definitely get a laugh from or

(19:02):
just hearing their story, just hearingseeing what type of things they're going through,
you know, it's definitely just worthhearing and also just getting inspiration from.
So my goal is to drop apodcast at the beginning of the week,
so like this one was being droppedon Monday and then on Friday,
I'm gonna have a thing where we'regonna pull up on a mama, you

(19:25):
know what I'm saying. So Ihave a person I have in mind that
I want to do my first onewith, but I how to make sure
that she's down, because if she'sdown, she would definitely make this worth
it, even if I have oneviewer at the time. But she's been
on the podcast before and I honestlyhad a good time with her on that

(19:51):
episode, So I know we havethe energy and the vibe to make this
great. But I ain't gonna,like y'all, I'm super scared, like
sports with the one Instagram live,Like like my thing is like do I
put on makeup? Do I not? Do I? You know, just
where my mom had with my youknow, my T shirt and shit and
just be fine and just you know, post up like you know whatever.

(20:12):
So we'll see, but it willdefinitely happen this Friday, especially since I
posted this podcast. I'm the personlike if I put it out in the
atmosphere and I say I'm gonna dosome shit, I ain't gonna back down,
Like, I don't care how scaredI am if I pee on myself,
I'm still gonna do it. Soit's definitely gonna happen anywhore. So

(20:33):
yeah, so that's why I'm tryingto get to. I want to the
podcast be more about, of course, me and my life and my kids
and everything that's been going on.Hopefully it'd be a little bit better after
we get to go play outside againbecause obviously we can't, but yes,
and then have Instagram Live be especiallyfor the other bad and bougee moms that

(20:56):
I would love to you know, you guys to me and start are following
them and see, you know, what they're up to, So it should
be cool. I'm excited about thislittle pivot of mine. All right.
So it's that all that I had, girl, You know, I asked
you took some notes, y'all.Let me see, let me floop my
page. Let's see boom boom.Oh yep, said potty train. We

(21:22):
did that. We talked about target, we did that. Um uh oh
yeah, I think I actually coveredeverything, all right. Guys, Well,
thank you so much for listening tothe podcast. I really appreciate it.
Um, y'all are excellent, Imean even and oh this is my

(21:47):
last thing. This my this ismy teeth for today, for a Saturday
tea with some alcohol in it.Um, don't feel pressured. Okay.
So during this time, I've beenseeing a lot of memes going around saying,
you know, if you don't comeout, we'll side hustle. I
know y'all seen this too. Ifyou're gonna come out with no side hustle,
no better business, you know whatever, whatever all this stuff, you

(22:07):
know what you're doing with your life, bitsh Please Honestly, what I'm doing
my life is maintaining my life andthat as far as trying not to cry
every hour on the hour about mynails because I cracked one of these bitshes
today and I feel so bad becausehopefully it didn't go down to my nail.
I think it was just just thegail part that crack. But again,

(22:30):
the nail shops are not open,so yes, the struggle is real.
Also, I don't care what peoplesay. I love my kids all
the time, I mean every singleday. However, I am very very
comfortable of having my alone time whenthey are at school. So don't have
people make you know, make youfeel bad, like like your kids get

(22:52):
on your nerves. It's okay,it's fine. You know you've been in
a someone space with twenty first seven. It's it's not the norm and that's
okay. So again, don't feellike you gotta be doing what all these
supposts are saying on social media orwhatever, because most likely Dan enjoy shit
either. Peace. All right, guys, that is it for us.

(23:17):
