COO. I am buying and I'macting like I'm killing and I'm so you
are tuning in to the Bad andBougie Moms podcast Show. Hi guys,

(00:45):
this is Britt. Thank you somuch for tuning in. And so today
I just want to hit on acouple of topics, um especially with everything
that is going on. So firstand foremost y'all know that I am in
Georgia. If you don't know,I reside in Atlanta, Georgia, not
actually Atlanta, it's a suburb outsideof Atlanta. But today it's Friday,

(01:11):
April twenty fourth, and as everyoneknows, like the whole entire world,
that our governor is he actually openedup our state. Don't know why.
Orange Man actually said he disagreed, which I'm surprised, and he still was
like nah shaddy, like I'm gonnago ahead and open up the state.

(01:33):
See how many dumb people are goingto go outside, you know? And
Kestra's rona because honestly, that's exactlywhat's going to happen. A lot of
the people that I've actually been speakingwith said they were not going to go
outside, which is a really goodthing. So hopefully, you know,
even though that the businesses are open, and I definitely understand, you know,

(01:55):
as far as an economical money standpoint, why he felt the need to
do that. People will actually decide, you know that they health means a
little bit more than you know, again their hair done or you know,
getting your nails done, things likethat. But um, yeah, we
definitely will see how this go.I know. Also a lot of businesses,

(02:16):
even though they were able to opentoday, they did decide to go
ahead and have their doors remain closedbecause again, it's a health issue.
We have no cure for this disease. We haven't no you know, summer
growling. Sorry y'all, I'm drinkingmy lemon water before I go eat,

(02:38):
But we have no cure for thisdisease. We have no you know,
nothing as far as how you canlegit really get it. Yes, we
know that if someone sneeds on youcall from you whatever, pretty much in
your surroundings you're able to catch it. But as far as us like a
legit sure way, like yo,if such a shots happen, ab see,

(03:00):
you're going to catch it. SoI hope, I hope and pray
that you know that Georgia will notsee a very bit spike. We're going
to see a spike regardless, becauseagain people there are people who was like,
fuck what you heard. I'm gonnago out. But I'm hoping that

(03:21):
it won't be as big of aspike um that we have seen. All
right, So flipping the script,So that was the health part of it.
So as far as the economical partof it, and on why I
did say I understand what Governor Kempis trying to do. First of all,
I know a lot of people whohave their own business, especially in
that particular shelter as far as youknow, beauticians and cut and care.

(03:45):
And yes, it is a hardshipon them because they can't they can't work.
Like no one knew that this wascoming. No one knew. You
know, still to the state, don't really know how long we're going to
be sheltered in place. So youknow, I just together an opportunity,
like hey, if some people wantto risk, you know, getting their
haircut or whatever, the doors areopen, that's on you. If you're

(04:08):
able to find the cleaning supplies thatyou need that's on this list of things
that you have to have in orderto remain open, which is ridiculous because
we can't. There's no light sault, there's no there's no wipes, there's
nothing like. You barely can getsanitizer and alcohol out the stores. So
unless you already had, you know, pre stopped up, you hit up
your home girl, who do quepunning there? You know, there's if

(04:31):
someone comes to your establishment and like, yo, where your cleaning products?
Most likely you're probably gonna get shutdown AnyWho. So yes, so as
far as the money standpoint, yes, we cannot stop as a world because
if we do, it would itwould be a disaster. To be honest,
However, you have to have commonsense and you also have to just

(04:53):
know your limits. So as theOrange Man said, you know, maybe
get some UV raise or you know, some lightsolt and shoot up your arm
and you know you'd be all right. It's so dumb. Moving on to
some mom shit. Okay, Soas four, as with the kiddos,

(05:17):
I don't know if it's just me, but am I the only one who's
counted down until the summer hit.I don't care if they're in digital learning.
Matter of fact, what time isit, because I need to make
sure mason dust and stuff hard ontifically. Okay, I have the time,
all right. Distant learning is stilllearning. We still have a semi schedule
that we have to follow, whichis good because I'm a very schedule oriented

(05:41):
person. I'm as well as mykids, so I love that aspect of
it. However, you know,at one point I was complaining, like,
damn, I gotta wake up earlyin the morning, get them ready
for school, make sure they eat, take them to school, you know
all that stuff. Make sure I'mat home when they get off the bus
YadA, YadA, YadA. Nowthat they're at home, I don't have
to do any of that. However, I still got to get up,

(06:02):
make sure they eat, make surethey log onto their computer and make sure
they have the log in key inorder to do Google hangouts. Make sure
they have the log in key inorder to add this class to Google classroom.
Make sure they have the log onkey, just to have the goddamn
log on key. So with allthis quarantine living, I know it's starting

(06:23):
to come to it in as faras with the schooling, but just to
kind of keep things, you know, over the summer, have some type
of momentum with you and your kids. This is just a couple of things
you can put in place in orderto make sure you know your mental state
is right, your kids mental statusright. Because of course, being stuck
in the house where twenty four sevencan be a burden on anyone, especially

(06:46):
on your mental capacity. I mean, you're legit, you know, waking
up doing your school work, mightgo outside for about thirty minutes to an
hour and come back in play videogames why SHV and do it all over
again. Like your days are definitelyrunning together. So here are a couple
of ways you can kind of breakup the monotone. You know, have

(07:09):
some things to do, have somethings to you know, have in place
just to make sure that you remainsane. So the first thing that I
do, particularly I mean personally withmy kids is that I try at least
to plan something to look for everysingle day, just one thing, because
again we're busy, they're busy,I'm busy. So I at least plan

(07:34):
one thing and let them know, you know, the night before, hey,
we're going to do this tomorrow.Get ready, put set your cloths,
put it on your calendar, dowhatever you have to do. So,
for instance, this week on Mondaywas a Monday, No Tuesday.
This week on Tuesday, I toldthe kids, Hey, no Monday night.

(07:57):
I told the kids, Hey,on Tuesday, we're going to bake
cupcakes. So they're like, oh, yeah, cool, We're gonna bake
cupcakes, all this stuff. Yes, my son, he definitely woke up
on Tuesday morning. First thing gothis mouth was, Yo, we still
baking cupcase, right, Yes,we are still baking cupcakes. So that
gives them, hey, something tolook forward to, something to know,

(08:18):
oh, we're gonna do this tomorrow, you know whatever, to just to
just to have something to look forwardto. Like that's honestly one thing that
I meant. So, yes,So Tuesday we did cupcakes. I'm about
to get off on a rant.Tuesday we did cupcase. Wednesday, me
and my daughter because she likes toorganize like me. She's a you know,

(08:39):
a little professional organizer. We areactually organized. We reorganized my bathroom
and my uh in my vanity sentand she had a blast, so,
you know, doing stuff like that. Third day, me and my daughter
once again because at this point,my son, the middle son, got
in trouble, so he's on nishmentat this point, um for line.

(09:03):
And so it's just me and mydaughter. So the next day Thursday,
we um. Well, on Wednesdaynight, I told her, Hey,
on Thursday, we're going to paintour nails and watch movies. She said,
okay, cool. She reminded methree times, Hey, hey girl,
we still painting our nails and watchmovies. Yes we are. So
I definitely seen a change in theirbehavior and also their their mood because you

(09:26):
know, ay, they have somethingto look forward to. It's cool,
it's all right, all right, numbers two of course, create a schedule.
Um, I know it's easy.Um, you know, just to
kind of get in the flow ofthe boats, will flow the ocean.
Whatever you want to say. Um, oh yes, post recording a podcast,

(09:54):
what's up? I sa see?And this is what happens when you
don't have any privacy. I shouldhave blocked the door. So back to
what I was saying, So,yes, so I know how you know,
being in quarantine, you definitely startto get into a routine waking up

(10:15):
late, not you know, beingas efficient and as productive that you can
be. Also you know, I'mgonna drop a little, um, a
little what is it called? Ohshit, damn, I forgot I forgot
to work AnyWho I've figured out onceI've finished saying it, so yes,
so um. In order to kindof stay productive, because once you end

(10:37):
up not being as productive, thatdefinitely could change your mood and you be
kind of of a Debbie downer. So of course, the stay productive build
a schedule around you know, yourlifestyle, what works for you. Personally,
me, I'm not an early morningperson. You're not going to see
me. Let me take that backfause disclaimer. Even though when I do

(10:58):
wake up early in the morning, like on some random shit, I get
a lot done. However, personallyI am a nine thirty ten o'clock person,
not a five thirty six o'clock person. So when you build a schedule
and make sure you build a schedulethat you know supports what you would like
to do, that it's that it'scohesive to your lifestyle and that it doesn't

(11:20):
honestly feel like a schedule. It'sjust kind of something in place to just
keep you on track to the goalsand the thing you said you want to
do to make happen and oh thisis a shameless plug. That's what I
was going to do. So ifyou want any other type of productivity information,
please visit my site touch a Minimalismdot design Why I can help you

(11:43):
organize your life boom. All right, last one, let's see. Let's
see. Oh consistency. Definitely consistency. So when you do all these things
that sports, building a schedule andmaking sure you put you know, one
thing to look forward to during thedaytime, you have to remind consistent.
Consistency is very hard. That's oneof the things honestly that I like personally.

(12:05):
I'm especially when it comes with theyou know, the type of things
I would like to do, umthat makes me feel good aka that I
don't get paid shit to do foryou know, like so not work ship.
I'm very consistent in my work. However, like reading a book or
you know, going out for awalk or you know, rollerblading things like

(12:28):
that, I'm not very consistent, even though I write it down on my
daily to do list, like hey, Brittany, do something for yourself,
you know, go rollerblade and nota happening. So yes, so make
sure you stay um, you stayconsistent. Mess up? Why does life
have to be so extra? Allright? So if you follow off my

(12:54):
um my Instagram page at the BannonBouje Moms, I think it's BBN podcast.
Now it's at the BA and Bougemansbe Being podcast. It's my Twitter
ill at me on there too. However, you know that I have put
a post down about taking off sands off my nails. I actually,
I think I actually took a pictureof my nails. I don't know or
I gave an update. So allright, let me tell y'all the story

(13:18):
because this is crazy, all right. So I went on Amazon and I
got me. I purchased a drill, a nail drill Neil Best well you
know, the different attachments or whatever, for about twenty bucks. Rather reviews.
The views said it was great,on which Ashley it was great.
However, I'm not sure if yousee that's work already started. I'm not
sure if the acatone that I purchased, which is cheap, I got it

(13:43):
from Walgreens. It was a Walgreensbrand, so I'm not sure if it's
just wasn't potent enough or I wasjust soaking wrong or whatever, but it
legit took me about five hours toget this damn s ands off my nails.
I did a little um cock andball with the full pat set there
nothing. I did the whole umfall pack in warm water like they do

(14:05):
at the salon, sat there nothing. So I literally ended up just soaking
drilling while I was wet, soakingdrilling, while I was wet soaking drilling
while I was wet for the likethe next three hours. So thank god
I got the S and S offmy hand. Um, after that whole
experience, I definitely might not goback to S and s um because if

(14:30):
it was honestly, I feel like, if it took that long and was
that hard for me to remove itfrom my nails, it can't be good
for you like it just it can't. So I'm going to just um most
likely want the nail shops open backup and safe to you know, go
outside again. Um. Look it'sabout the rain, like hill, Lord
Jesus, it's dark, okay.Um, I'm just gonna start back getting

(14:56):
jail polished like I You know,I personally prefer SNS because I work with
my hands a lot and it's moredurable than jail. But again, if
it was that hard for me toget it off. I know, my
nail beds would be destroyed. Youknow, in a couple of years.
What I end up doing after Idid remove the sns, I did buy

(15:18):
these Sally Henson's two step jail supercheap. I got it from Walgreens for
I want to get one free. Not free, but I want to get
one fifty percent off. This ismy first time applying jail all my nails
myself, so that's why I wentthat way. As for as the price,
once I start getting the hank ofactually painting my own nails again,

(15:41):
I would definitely probably look on Instagramor I mean, I have a couple
of people in mind. As forAspenannail Polished, I want to use that.
Um it's jail based. So Ijust want to make sure, you
know, before I spend all thatmoney, hold on, y'all got drink
some more water before I eat?Hold on? Who that's limited? Oh

(16:03):
my gosh. Um Yeah, beforeI spend some money on some polish,
before I, you know, makethat leap, I want to make sure
that you know, I could atleast still do my own nails. So
so yeah, So that was mystory. As far as um you know
the whole nail situation. So ladies, if you have a story, please
feel free to share with me.I know a couple of my crew hey

(16:25):
boo, I see Y'allum definitely gaveme some advice on what to do soon
said press on nails, which iscool. I like to press on thing.
However, if you have not evermet me in person, I am
pretty tall, so that means Ihave long fingers and big hands. So
I just feel like this whole universalnail kids, So like, how do

(16:47):
I know it's gonna fit for me? I mean that's what it boils downd
to. Like, my thumb ispretty wide, my nail best are pretty
long. So do they have likea small, medium, extra large?
Kid? Like, do I purchaseyour large kit? Or it's like,
na, bitch, you're gonna getthese ten nails and you're gonna call it
a day, Like I need toknow you know, it's a kind of

(17:07):
customizable. You know, it's akind of wide. I need a foul
like that that would be my wholething. But um, I definitely love
the ones that I've been seeing, like across the ground. They honestly look
amazing, but I just I justcan't. I just can't purchase it.
I just can't do it, allright, So I think that's it for
me, guys, So thank youso much for listening to the podcast.

(17:32):
Make sure you follow the Bannon Boujeemars. I know I mentioned last time

up to drop off something like that? I don't know. I have,
I have a graphic and everything readyfor it. I personally do not like
being on camera. Um, That'swhy I have not did it. And

(17:53):
actually I'm a a semi scared, but I'm gonna get over that shit soon.
I just need a person who's gonnaget over it with me. So
hopefully that's coming soon. It might, it might not. I might just
actually honestly hop on there myself andjust wait for you know, my two
viewers to come on, and whoevercomes on, I'm like, hey,
