Speaker 1 (00:01):
WMOE and the Moulla Broadcasting that probably was that. The
Big Mo Podcast, The Big Mod Podcast is brought to
you by Pharma twenty four, craftsp and Electric and Revey
Landscaping and now your hosts, Andi Nagel and Big Mo
Barrett Andie Dangle.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Easter has come and gone first and foremost. Did you
have a fantastic Easter break?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
We did. We're actually doing it. It's funny. Our Easter
break obviously was last week. My wife and your wife's
their Easter break is this week.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
So it's disjointed.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
It is disjointed a little bit, and I know a
lot of that has to do with our ap exams
here at Moller in the late fall of easter.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Noah, See, people don't understand that. They're like, why don't
they just seek them out? Why is it the archs
diance you do that? So explain that there's a reason
for it. Now next year I think they align. I
think they do because here it's different.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Easter was so late grade school it really didn't affect them,
so they could they could go, you know, off good
fry and then the following week. But for high schools,
you know, we're getting to the end of the road here.
I mean seniors.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Are you know they we ate a mark yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
It's just crazy. So Joy and I we actually we
we bugged out of town Thursday night, went down to Lexington,
enjoyed Keenland on Friday.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
The little like did you win any money?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
We hit a shot in the ninth Race which made
the day. So it was her first time being to Keenland.
We had it was a great day.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
You wear the puffy hat.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
She did not wear a hat.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Did you wear a hat? You had to wear a hat.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I wore a sport coat. I wore We were dressed.
And that's why I love Keenland because everybody, I would say,
ninety percent of the people dress great. I mean sport coat,
you know, nice sundresses. And it was just as I
did not I chose to go with the sport coat
instead of the sun dress for this one. But it

(01:57):
was good.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Had options.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
I did have options. But we're actually going to as
a family, as our kids and grandkids, We're going to
do Easter and then celebrate. We have a bunch of
April birthdays. We're going to do it this Sunday, just
because we couldn't get everybody together on Easter, and I
didn't want to put that pressure on the kids and say, hey,
you have to be at mom and Dad's house. So
we're going to do that. We're gonna enjoy that. How

(02:19):
about you, A big guy.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
It was nice a lot of family. We typically go
to Cst. Key, Florida, but because it was joining and
both my boys wanted to stay active, active participants with
baseball here and certainly track, I was stuck here. Yeah,
but we took advantage of Reds games, the boys and
I we went to three Reds games.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
I don't know about you, like I love Reds games
all right. I love being in the ballpark watching their Reds.
I'm a diehard baseball fan, diehard Reds fan. Boy. They're
tough to watch. Last two nights, I won't get go
down that road. But I hate getting down there. I
hate finding a parking spot. I hate having to fight
all those people get in there. And then we went

(03:03):
to the twelfth I think I told you off air.
We went to the twelve thirty five Thursday getaway game.
But it was also coinciding with rush hour traffic, also
coincided with Easter break and traffic it took me an
hour and a half to get from Great American Ballpark
back to Mainville, Ohio. Wow, that's a long time.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
What's your favorite and take the take the diamond seats
out of the equation, because obviously you get a chance
to sit in the diamond seats. It's awesome. Mary, what's
your what's your favorite view in the cour Let me
ask you first. We love that section right below the stacks,

(03:45):
that little tiny center field section which I have like
five and have that third angle. I love that angle.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
That is a great That is a great venue, no
doubt about it. Now you also got to take you
talked about take out the diamond seats. You also got
to take out was now seats where you were sitting
in there with the fandel which is now it's fandel
or it used to be. It's all the food you can.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Even right right right, take those, take the sweets and.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
All the out I enjoy, and I think the boys
and I enjoy. We had seats in one nineteen but
I which are great seats, but your elbow to elbow,
My boys like to kind of spread out a little bit.
The Moon and Sun deck is a great which is
just over from where you're talking about is a great spot.
You can spread out a little bit. You're not, which
is unfortunate that the Reds don't get bigger crowds that

(04:35):
afford you that opportunity. But you can kind of spread
out a little bit, and uh, it's a lot of fun. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
The other thing I like staying in the strike zone. Yeah,
in that in that right field corner, that Budweiser deck
or whatever. I like standing. I like standing, I know
you do.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, like when we went to.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Miami, we could when we went to There's no stay. Unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah. If I I drink, if I indulged myself in
adult beverages, that's where I'd like to be too.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Side Wiser.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yeah, it saw Moeger there on Thursday, was chatting with him.
But that's right, perfect vantage point right down that first baseline.
That is a good spot. But they're a lot of fun. Man.
But how in the world, Okay, you got me talking
about it. How do you put up two touchdowns and
then you then you strike out fourteen times against a
guy baseball man who's been a subpar pitcher at the

(05:30):
major league level, and then last night was not much better.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah, it's uh, I don't know it all in one
game twenty four runs or whatever.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
That ba And if you've watched this game for any
length of time, you knew that was going to happen, correct,
I mean it happened when they scored earlier in the year,
they scored what fifty twelve runs yet and then they
went on a six game losing streak, only scratching eight
hits over. It's unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah, everybody that called for the man of Moeler David
Bell class of ninth ninety, everybody that called for his
head and thought, oh, Tito is going to be this
great savior. And I'm not saying I love Tito Francona
uh as a manager, but if he's only gonna get
you two or three more wins than David Bell got you,
what are we doing?

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You know?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
But we'll buy us with.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
And then Dave always told David always told me, you know,
managers get too much credit when things are going well,
and they get too much heat when things aren't going well,
because at the end of the day, it's those nine
guys that are out there. You know, A pitcher last
night for the Reds won't name his name, You pick
up the ball. If the runner has his back to you,
you don't throw the baseball. And he threw it in

(06:39):
the right field, short right and runner.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Yeah, you you made a great point. We were talking
about this yesterday. Is a lot of Cincinnati fans, do
you know, Barrett and I are about five years apart,
so we're old school baseball guys. And just the the
approach that these hitters have these days, there's no two
strike approach. It's either a home run swing or or

(07:02):
a strikeout. But it's the same that home run swing.
I mean that is just fly open, elevate and celebrate.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Every reds batter. If you watch when they are struggling,
and you you you've coached college and and high school baseball,
you know more than me. I'm preaching to the choir
to you. But when this team's struggling, they're down in
the count O two one two. Almost every batter, they're
free swinging, they're pulling off the ball, they're opening that
front shoulder up and all they're doing is throwing slighter

(07:32):
that the balls aren't even reaching the home plate they're hitting,
but and they're swinging at them. And then they're throwing
them outside. These guys have no chance to hitting the
ball when they're throwing, when they're swinging like that on
the outside part of the plate. It's it's basic stuff,
and you just want to these are major League Baseball players.
Can they not figure that out?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
And it's it's, you know, the the old five o'clock hitter,
the BP hitter. But you know, you made a great point.
When you're in that rut as a hit her, that's
when you you got to let that ball travel and
go opposite field. You know, if you're a right you
want to try to hit it over the second base
you're left, do you want to try to line over.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Where it's pitched and two strikes, choke up like you said, yes,
choke up on the back, and here's what you play.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
They were throwing.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
A slider this. Max Myers was throwing a throwing a
slider two games ago in Miami, the first game of
the series, and it was the same slider ending in
the same spot right at the black the front part
of the plate, and I'm yelling at.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
The TV, screwed up in the box.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Like there's things you can do to help manage that
slider to get on top of that slide.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
In a MLB, you have the video in the dugout.
You can watch these pitches as it's happening in the dugout.
You can review. Okay, it's good. He's dropping that slider
in front of the plate almost nine out of ten times.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
The amazing League Baseball players, which we're not talking about
molar player. These are Major League Baseball players that do
not know how to adapt.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Now, and I know you've talked to Pete Rose many times,
and one of the best things, one of the best
things I've ever heard from him, and I think I
might have been an interview you did with him, and
he's done it several times, is the adjustments he make
you move up in the box, moved back to you correct,
move away from the box, or move or move away fan.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
What did he follow up that with? He said it,
and he did we said in the interview. But I've
heard it, like you said many other times. You never
change your swing because that swing league you move you're right,
move up in the box, move back in the box,
never change your swing. Oh, it just drives a lesser
man to drink. I don't understand it. I'm a diehard
I care so much because I'm a diehard Reds fan, but.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
All it makes me so frustrated.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
And Tito credit to him, maybe discredit to him. He
just sits in that dugout and I'm like, what, how
are you not peeling paint in a like what are
we doing?

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Yeah, it's it is frustrating. You know. We talked about
the old school Tony Gwinn's and the George Bretts. Those
dudes did not strike out. Man, they put them all
in play. It's unbelievable, it really is.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I digress. We gotta get on another topic. Andy, We're
gonna take a break. We have no guests today because
a full disclosure. We're back from the easter break. And
it's always do you find out the older you get,
the older I get, the harder it is to reacclimate
yourself back into the flow of things. It wasn't that
hard when I was younger, but now it's just kind
of you hit the pause button and then it's like,

(10:36):
oh man, you gotta get back into it.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
And our wives are on spring Bread Easter break right now, correct,
so we are half on, so we're kind of yeah,
we're still like in limbo here man, we want to
kind of spend time with them, or use that excuse,
but but we also have a job to do.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Had my wife not told me that she was gonna
be rearranging doing spring cleaner.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
This week, I might be from all from you ran
from work, buddy.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
In fact, I'm not a fool. There's no doubt about that.
Andy Nago and I got more when we come back
from a breakthrough because we got a ton of stuff
going on at the school. We're gonna talk about that
and more when we come back here. Listening to the
best coverage of molar high schools w WMB, I had.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
The same problem.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (11:20):
You gotta bust off the rust.

the official landscape company of Big Bo. I'm not going
to Big Moo podcast, Andy Dag Big Bo married and
uh Andy, I'm taking off, Jason Nahouse, I wish you

(13:40):
were going with me, but you are not. We are
heading out to Denver, Colorado people tomorrow morning at five
thirty five. Arge, my dad would say, oh dark thirty
and uh. It always frustrates me. How you you know
you want to be of course sensitive to the budget
and spending. You know the money here is go. But

(14:01):
we're flying to Charlotte, North Carolina to get to Denver.
I never understood that. It's so frustrating. But we'll be landing.
So here's the ITEA. I'm really excited about this. I'm
always excited, you know, I'm a. I have a big
affinity to our Denver Chapter because Jeff dorn Off eighty
two grad does a remarkable job with the organization. We

(14:23):
all of our what I would call our chapter presidents
do a good job, but Jeff just goes a little
bit more. Now he's retired, so he's even gonna have
more time. But Jeff does a great job communicating with
those guys, connecting each other. If there's new guys that
move to Denver. We've had that happen twice in the
last year where guys will come out and he'll get
them acclimated and make some network and make some connections

(14:45):
and professional networking connections as well, and does a tremendous
job just keeping everybody at Brest what's going on. He's
always holding events out there, opportunities, luncheons, so it's one
of my favorite chapters. We have over one hundred alumni
I believe within one hundred mile radius of Denver Proper
Denver Metro and the first event we had out there,

(15:08):
we had over I think eighty some guys, which is
an incredible percent, right you know, Yeah, you and I
talked about we had fifteen Columbus, which was frustrating that
we're going to get more guys out there. We had
over eighty something in Denver, which is really cool. So
we got a big slew of plans on Wednesday or
excuse me. Tomorrow, we arrive in Denver Mountain time at

(15:32):
like nine o'clockish, nine to fifteen something like that. Jason
the President, Jason Niehouse and I are going to travel
south to the Air Force Academy, where Jason has not
been there yet, but we have currently four men of
Moeler at the United States Air Force Academy. We will
be having lunch with those guys. And the cool thing

(15:54):
about lunch at the Air Force Academy. And I don't
know the number of cadets they have, but the entire
campus marches with their squadron or whatever they call it
into what they call Mitch's which is Mitchell Hall, and
they all march and it just just to see that alone,
if that was the only thing we did, is worth

(16:14):
the trip. So they march into Mitch's Hall, and somehow,
some way, in this humongous hall they feed I want
to say, several thousand cadets in a forty five minute
time they do. And what they what Jason I will
do is we'll be up top with the leadership team.
They'll introduce us to the entire Air Force Academy and

(16:35):
then we'll go down on the floor with our four
men and Mueller and have lunch with them, which is
very cool. Then we're we'll be getting a tour. Jason
will get a tour of the Air Force Academy campus.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Including the chapel, including the chapel.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Which was under construction. I've never actually both the last
two times I was out there, it was under construction,
so I've never been. So that'll be my first time
in their beautiful chapel if you've been inside of it,
So looking forward to that. And then Jason will be
meeting the director of Admissions from the Air Force Academy,
who is always this is a new one, but she's

(17:09):
very interested meeting Jason to find out what is Molar
doing to keep sending all of these kids, not just
to the Air Force Academy, but to all these service academies.
Ironically enough, tonight we have certain that we've become such
an academy driven school. We've had the Cincinnati Service Academy seminar.

(17:37):
They reached out to Moor and asked us to host it.
So ironically enough, we're going to the Air Force Academy tomorrow,
but tonight here on campus, I forget the time off
the top of my head but you can go to
my Facebook page and check it out. I promoted it there.
All the Service academies are coming to Molar High School
to speak to any student from whatever school we're just
happening to be hosting who have an interest in pursuing

(18:00):
a career via the through the Service Academy, Military academy,
So whether it's Coast Guard, Air Force, you get down
the line, they'll all be here tonight, So a little
shout out for that. So then after that so Jason
will be meeting with the director of Admissions, and then
on on Friday, we'll be heading to Liberty Commons. Bob
Schaffer class of nineteen eighty runs one of the top

(18:21):
charter schools. I think it is the top charters school
in Colorado, and Jason will be getting a tour of that,
and then we'll be doing a happy hour later on
in the afternoon evening, and then on Saturday the Big
Reds Rocky game at course Field. Jeff Dornoff and Doug
rex Pizza's brother, Doug Rhoda and Bob Schaeffer host I

(18:42):
think close to like fifteen alumni up in a suite
at Coursefield with a meet and greet with a meet
and greet with Brent Souter trying the field before the game,
which old school. So I gotta beat tics of the
Reds because you know, I can't such it on Twitter
because Brent I don't want Although Brent, if it was
Mono Imano inside the studio on the record, he would
probably agree, we got to hit the ball better.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
I don't know, man, he's so good. I mean, he's
such a positive guy. I can't see him bashing anybody.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
But he wanted sad was wrong.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
This is a guy that never went the opening day
as a kid. Remember that when we interviewed that didn't
play hooky one time.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
I'm crazy, isn't on? Brent sooner on Mike is dead.
I mean that's terrible. Yeah, but that'll be fun. But
we we our flight. We can only stay for a
few innings that game because our flight leaves out of
Denver Saturday afternoon. We'll be back Saturday night. But it'll
be fun. It's it's always good to to take the
flag and and plan it all around the country. And
we got some great people out in Colorado.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Yeah, that sounds and I think like Mary, I know
she had us on a text chain last week when
we were on break. It was snowing out there last week.
But I think you're gonna get mid seventies.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
And yeah, Colorado springs to be a little cooler.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
And like you said, you got the Rockies in town,
you got the Avalanche and the NHL Playoffs, and you
got the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs. They're all
home while you're out there. Good luck on that hotel room.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yeah, I gotta I gotta find out Friday night, I
think we have some free time. I don't think. I
think the Avalanche play on Saturday, and I think the
Nuggets play. That's crazy night. So I'm not gonna work out,
but I manage how much those tickets are.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Well, I know based on the hotel rooms. You're kidding.
It ain't cheap out in Denver. So are you a
are you a Joe Walsh Rocky Mountain Way guy? Or
are you a John Denver Rocky Mountain High guy? What
what song would you choose? What you choosing? I go
Joe Walsh, Rocky Mountain Way.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
What do you think you're going?

Speaker 3 (20:39):
John Denver?

Speaker 2 (20:40):
John Denver, you got a good job.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
That is a good tune. Man.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
The cat it up as if we had a playing
We didn't, folks, We're just that darn We're that good Andy.
There's a lot going on besides a little rocky mountain
high this week for us. We got prom the weekend
from Bowler, which is a big deal. Do you remember
your prom here at Bowler?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Wait? Did I did we hit our prom? I think
it was downtown at an events center off Garfield Place.
I think is where it was.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Do you remember you took?

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Oh? Yeah, I can't say, my wife, it was not Joy,
it was not Joey.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
I never tell you. One of the times when I've
learned a lesson not to post prom photos on social
media because because as I as I think about it
as the alumni director that was in this particular case
forty five years ago, Like, yeah, is it that sensitive
forty five years later that you it is? I posted

(21:51):
a prom photo from forty five years ago. It took,
and the current wife despises the girl who this particular
alum took to prom, and I caused all kinds of issues.
So I will no longer promote share any sort of
prom photo. Forty five years that's pretty intense.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah, yeah, nothing worse. How's the saying go, Nothing worse
than a wife spur sperm. I don't even know what
the heck I'm trying to say spurned or sporned or
something like that. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Anyways, don't do that idea, is the alumni director. I
would not think. I would not encourage you to do that. Andy.
There's a lot of things going on. We just we
got Lodato c coming up, which is next Wednesday. We
talk about Brent Thursday, excuse me, Brent Souter will be
here on campus next Thursday for that, which is in

(22:48):
cooperation with the Archs Dioce the Dotto Sea community. So
Brent will be here, will have a mass for that,
and social after that. People will promote that on social
media as well. But just from an alumni perspective, all
the things coming up, it's a lot to summer tease.
What we're kind of thinking about.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Well, I think it's a done deal. I cleared it
with Mary and we've cleared it with Jason. Just a
couple of things real quick. Next Wednesday, which is actually
going on right now, we're having a Spring Day of
Giving here at Molar. You've made this fun, well, you
helped We did it on Giving Tuesday, Bear and I
on the hour. Every hour we did a live video feed.

(23:29):
We gave away some shirts to a lums. But this
is open to anybody and everybody. It's kind of like
Giving Tuesday, where a lot of schools and universities are
now having a Spring Day Giving as well. We're going
to do that on April thirtieth, next Wednesday. You can
actually make your donations now to Molar. We'll put the
website in this post where you can do it. I

(23:49):
think we're up to our goal is like twenty five thousand,
and I think we're closing in on two thousand and
We just opened this up on Monday, So thank you
Molar community. But we will have an alumni class challenge
within this this Giving Tuesday. So the nineteen seventy six
class won the Giving Tuesday Challenge class Challenge in December,

(24:12):
so they're looking to go back to back and win
this class challenge as well. Who won it nineteen seventy six.
That's the old Phil Krinerner and Mark Coleman his class,
Joe Munchin, I know the seventy four class has already
been talking smack with John George and his crew, Bob
Sneedle and David Ashbrock. Here's a seventy three classes talking smack.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Put a post out or I can put a post out.
We'll figure it out, kind of teeing up that rivalry. Yes,
it's coming up in three days. Yes, these are the
classes that are favored and kind of do almost like
a march madness, you know, these these are this is
the ones ses ver kind of play up on that
little we'll do that.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
We put it out yesterday the top ten classes of
right now on the entire year, and that seventy four
classes is first, seventy three is in second. So they
are having a pretty good rivalry. But that's next Wednesday.
And like I said, you can give to that that
that challenge or that campaign right now and then and

(25:16):
then it's it's off to the races.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
We have.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
Gosh, let me think about this. We have Molar Baseball
Alumni Day next Saturday, which is going to be a
great day because all three levels are playing on Saturday
against oll in Tanji Liberty or in Tangy Orange. I
think at the MAC, I think it's Freshman, then Varsity
at one thirty and then followed by JV. So that's
Mollar Alumni. Next Saturday, the Hall of Fame, the Jerry

(25:43):
Foulst Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. That luncheon will be
on Sunday, May eighteenth. Tickets will be available for that.
And then we have Bourbon and Cigars Reunion Weekend. Bourbon
and Cigars will be Friday June sixth, and then we
have our big golf outing on Friday June twenty seventh.
And what Barrett was talking about and is actually his idea,

(26:06):
great idea, get we're gonna have. We're gonna do three events.
So you got Bourbon, Cigars, you got the Golf outing,
and then the Stag which we've teased a lot, but
that's actually gonna happen on September twenty fifth here at.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Moeller Sned go ahead and announce it.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Sign Seal Delivered the Nasty Boys. Barrett Cohen bringing in
the Nasty Boys. It's the thirty fifth anniversary for anniversary
of the nineteen ninety World Series Championship Years Championship Team,
and we're gonna have the Randy Meyers, Norm Charlton and
Rob Dibble. Marty Brenneman will host kind of a Q

(26:44):
and A with them, So that'll be a lot of fun,
a lot of laughs. And Barrett's working on bringing in
a lot of players from that nineteen ninety roster, so
stay tuned for that. But the big tease is, so
if you were to purchase a individual ticket for Bourbon Cigars,
for the golf outing and for the Stag, it costs
you about five hundred bucks to attend all three events.

(27:06):
We are going to offer I would say within the
next two days up until June first, we're gonna offer
three of those tickets. You get a ticket for all
three events, we're gonna knock one hundred dollars off and
give it to you for four hundred bucks. Gets you
a ticket to Bourbon Cigars, which is you don't have
to drink bourbon, you don't have to smoke cigars. There's
plenty of other beverages, non alcoholic, alcoholic. Montgomery In and

(27:32):
Bishop's Quarters our sponsors on that. But you get a
ticket to Bourbon Cigars, you get a ticket, You get
one spot in the golf outing, so get your foursomes
together for that, and you get a ticket for the Stag.
And I'm telling you this Stag is gonna sell out
real quick once those tickets go on sale. But from
we're gonna try to launch this summer Sizzle package if

(27:52):
you want to, If you will, we're gonna try to
announce or launch it this week and have that until
June first to get that discount on your three tickets.
Any think about that.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
That's gonna be fun.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
That's gonna be great.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
I think the Nasty Boys will have some stories.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Ugh, got to keep it. We are Catholic high school,
so we're gonna have to go PG thirteen on some
of these stories. But you don't want to miss that
fact you were.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
An opponent of the Cincinnati Reds in the nineties.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
You're done at the five inning, correct, you're done.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
But who would you fear most out of those.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Three debil due but Randy Myers. That guy he used
to walk around with a machete on his waist camouflage clothes.
I mean, you know, he really lived up to that
hunting motif. But but Rob Debil, Why what sticks out
to me with that guy? That Chicago cub guy bobbed

(28:48):
her near I think who was bunning on Debble and
he threw it directly into his back.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
So there's still Martyre about one hundred miles an hour.
Marty Brennan still has some issues with that though. In fact,
he said him and Rob Dibble and we're trying to
get Marty to MC this thing as well. I thinkink
he'll do that.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
It would be fun because he could really bring up
some stories like the debile versus Panela in the in
the locker room.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Was brass fulled and unapologetically loud. Loop Penella had just
taken over from a disgraced Pete Rose, and he brought
a fresh approach with him. The Reds players confirmed that
he was a relief from their former manager, as he
cared about them.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Barrett is working his magic. Try to bring some of
these stars. Charlton were his wild cards.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Rip Mailer. There's a lot of.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
That you can follow about the Nancy Mariano Duncan your
boy ron Oaster also Todd Benzinger. That's a Moller dad
right there. We'll try to get Benzinger. He he caught
the last out of that world series in nineteen ninety.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
He did you think how many guys think we get
here from the Reds? I would think because a lot
of those guys Todds in town. Yeah, you got Paul O'Neil.
Although Paul wasn't on that nineties team it was it
wasn't okay, so Paul so he sees the Yankees play
by play guys. That might be hard, but I think
we could get some guys in here.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
I think it's gonna be fun. I think it's gonna
be a great night.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
And you know what they say, get your tickets early
before they sell. Yeah, and I and I really you're
working on the link right now with the girls downstairs,
so we'll be able to release that probably most likely
next week is probably when that'll come out.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
R Yeah, yep, yeah, and get that get that discount
up until June first.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Man, you see you get the most Did you come
up with a name for it yet?

Speaker 3 (30:43):
I don't know. Mary kind of liked the Summer Sizzle package.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
We'll talk to Tara. And when I said that, you
gave me a look like what summer Sizzle. Summer Sizzle, Andy,
great work. I was you and I were talking all
the the stuff going on, things that you did not
mention that are still just weeks months away. More football
is going to Nashville. We're gonna have a party down there, uh,

(31:10):
and maybe even a regional event. We're good the night
before and we have something down Nashville. We're going to
Cleveland for Saint Ed's doing the same thing for a
Cleveland regional event up there. Of course big old Ironton
on that whole tailgate, but there's a lot and and
potentially Asterix Chicago and the event in Chicago. Uh, if
not May maybe in the fall. So so many things

(31:32):
going on, it's fluid. What I would think, and I
haven't talked to you about this, but I think would
be cool is if we can talk Tara into getting
a page on the website, which I know we have
a new website coming out, but at least something temporary
temporarily where we have everything you and I have mentioned,
all with dates, all on one one stop shop where

(31:55):
people can go because they're going to hear this podcast
and go when did Aby say that golf ass again?
And it can you can go there. You got the
date and behind it is a link that to get
more information and just with all the stuff that's going on,
because it is hard for alumni, it's hard for you
and me to keep up with everything that's going on,
so if we had a one stop shop where we
had everything, where alumni and the more family can go

(32:17):
to to see everything, I think that would be advantageous.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
It's funny. We got grease boards in our in our office.
Embarrass I was gonna write some uh, some upcoming events
on your board, but you did You need a bigger
grease board.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Got a lot going on.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
It's fun it's awesome. I hope to see you guys
at a lot of events.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
I'm looking down at my YouTube. I was just playing
that and do you remember the time Rob Dibble got
into a fight with you know, I'm gonna have to
invite to the stag who shot that video and still
has the unedited video, which maybe we'll play in front
of those guys that night, is lonesome George Vogel who

(32:57):
shot the video and was told this is this is
a great story. I don't know if I should say
this publicly, but I'm going to because George is gone,
but they gone, no, he's not Dad, sorry George. In fact,
hold on a second, we should call George up and
let him. Let me see if he answers a call.

(33:18):
This is worth listening. If George Vogel will tell the story.
Let me call George up and see if he answers
this phone.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
This is great, this is unscripted focus, this is.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
This is a great story of when lou Panela caught
all the video of this fight in the locker room.
It was it was in the locker room, Please answer George.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Wasn't wasn't the be a man? Wasn't it wasn't he yelling?
Be a man?

Speaker 2 (33:47):
And George. They went up to George and said do
you know? They said do you have how did they
say it?

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Do you have?

Speaker 2 (33:58):
I a great George Muggle's voice. I think they went
to digital. I think it was possible. You're out here, George.
I think they were digital at that time. They were
just getting the digital and they said do you have
a video tape of that? And George did not have
video tape. He had a digital, one of the new
at the time new digital cameras. And he said, no,
I don't have any video tape, which he didn't. It
was digital. Yeah, So he kept it to him and

(34:20):
he kept the video of the actual the uncensored video,
which has not been released publicly. So that was good stuff.
That was It's maybe we can get George there to
tell that story too.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Yeah, let's invite everybody.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
George likes it.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
The Reds are, uh, they have they have a day
game that day, twelve thirty five, and it is a
getaway day. But we're going to try to work on
maybe getting Brent Souitter there. I know you were trying
to get Barry here as well. He'll obviously have the
TV game that day, but try to get the Larkins
back for that.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
It should be a fun night. It should be awesome.
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
It's gonna be fun. And something about Cincinnati Baseball, the Reds.
Did you just say this, the Red's Hall of Fame.
I wasn't listening, George. So the Reds Hall of Fame
will bring their traveling exhibit, which they've done and every
time we've we've had a baseball oriented stag speaker, they
bring their traveling road show. Two more or so, the

(35:18):
Red's Hall of Fame will be here as well. And
I'm excited about the fare that.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
We're working on. Don't have anything definitive just yet.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Who how about some ballpark fair, some brots, some mets,
some some popcorn, maybe some some cracker jacks, not peanuts.
We talked about that because Carl Kramer would actually he would,
he would nail us to a cross if we put
peanuts on this.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Do we lob it out to the listeners? Give us
your best ballpark fairy?

Speaker 2 (35:45):
What's your favorite? How about what montgomery In's got right now?
They got the walking tacos with the montgomery In pulled pork.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
I was I know you had someone you went there
the three Gate.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Actually no, I can't afford it. I got to Tom
Gregory discount.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
I go down to the ballpark.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
They give me for twenty bucks.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Twenty bucks for a walking Here's a trick.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
It's an oversized chip bag. And here's a pro tip.
All right, they cut it. They don't cut it the
bag on the top. It's an oversized bag. They cut
the bag on the side, so you use it almost
like a bowl if you makes sense? Yes, right, not bad, Marty.
What do you think of Tom Brenneman? By the way,
speaking of Marty Brenneman on seven under Wow, A sounds good.

(36:28):
He sounds really good. It's first time he's ever done
talk radio though, has ever done you know.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
I'm a huge Mike McConnell fan, I've off Mike MC.
I have totally switched and now Brian Thomas.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Fan really just say so. You know Brian was Jerry's son.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Yes, and that's where Joe Strucker is our ex correct
executive Hall of Fame producer for his correct Brian Thomas.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Good stuff, Andy, thank you so much for everything on
the Big MO Podcast. Lots going on. If you need
to reach out to Andy Nagle, it's a Nagel at
Moeller dot org. He will fill you in with a
whatever you might meet. Just be patient because he's a
it's like Times Square down in that alumni office.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
I know firsthand the broom closet.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
And thanks for all you do. I really appreciate it.
