Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wanting family, Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to
the Morning DeVos. Your bro Sam Lopez aka Dj sam Brock.
So one is with a z dot org Live that
so win is with a z dot org streaming on
social media platforms and on a YouTube page which is
simply called dj sam Brock. If you're at live that's
soone is with a z dot org, you're gonna notice
(00:24):
that it's quiet space. Is the time you could really
concentrate and reflect on what's going on on these Morning
DeVos as a live chat as well that I could see,
and also has an interactive Bible right there online for
you to follow through with the scriptures as well. So
I always highly recommend if you're a type of person
(00:45):
that don't want pop ups and everything coming up on
the screen while you're trying to focus on the word
or get into a devotional time. Amen, go to live
that someone is with a z dot org and we'll
see you over there as well. So today we're calling
this one of service acts of service, because it always
sounds like I'm saying acts like I AX that chops
(01:06):
down trees, but it's acts of service when salvation takes
root in your heart. Love for God and people isn't
just felt, is lived out, it's lived out, Amen. So
that's where we're going to be at acts of service,
and we need that right about that right we need
access service. Service is where faith meets action. Faith meets action,
(01:33):
and it's how the love of Christ becomes visible to
the world. The world don't really care about what we
know until we show them that we do something about
what we know. They're not going to care about what
we know until they know that we care. And the
only way people will know that we care is when
we put our faith in action, when we do acts
(01:56):
service unto others. Everybody doesn't have to be a crue
for me to go ahead and help somebody out. You
don't have to be a believer in the Lord a man.
You could be into another religion, you could be in
different ways of living, lifestyles and all this other stuff.
The Lord is here through his people, serving the community,
(02:18):
serving the people, the acts of service, and then people
will ask ninety nine percent of acts, why would you
do that for me? Amen? And that's a wide open
door for you to introduce them to the one who
inspires you to do good, the one who is only
good in us, Holy Spirit God, to do good for others.
(02:38):
We're gonna be in James chapter one, verse twenty seven,
Acts of Service. If you have any questions, comments, concerns,
prayer requests, or anything along those lines, feel free. The
live chat is open, Amen. And also, if you're listening
as soone is with a Zida org to sell everydio
network a man, welcome back, and we hope you enjoy
what you're gonna hear. This is your first time. Welcome
(03:01):
to the Morning Devo. Try to get here at five
thirty a m. Eastern Standard time Mondays through Fridays. Amen.
I try my best to get into the studio on time.
So let's go for it. Let's pray first. After we pray,
we'll share us out for like sixty seconds, and then
on the other side of those sixty seconds, we'll get
run into our scripture for today's Morning Devo. James, Chapter one,
(03:21):
verse number twenty seven. I see you, brother John, Good morning.
God bless you my brother. It's good to see you
on the Morning Devo. So let's go for it. Let's pray. Father,
I thank you for it right now, thank you for
this moment, thank you for every single breath that you
allow me to take on this side of eternity. I pray,
Lord God, the peace of God, the strength of God,
the power and the authority of God, your Word, Lord God,
(03:43):
your holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, will continue to lead the way,
lead our lives as we honor you through our acts
of service for others, as we love one another, to
show this world that we are together unified as the
body of Christ. Thank you, Lord God, for every single
person connecting now who will connect later, for every single
person who's watching now who will listen later or watch
(04:06):
later as well. I pray Low God, I hedge your
protection by your power, by your angelic hosts, that you
will surround us with your angels, that you would God us,
guard us and protect us during the day, during the night,
and every day that we are signed here on this
earth until that day that you say, Okay, your time
here is done, well done, good and faithful servant. I
(04:27):
pray Love God, that the peace of God that's in
us will reflect around us, and that we would do
access service not based on what we could get back,
but based on the love that we have from one another,
the love of God that's flowing through us, and that
people will want to know why we're doing access service.
According to your word, Lord God, we are made for this,
(04:50):
we are prepared for this, and we are in this world.
But we're not o this world. So therefore there's a
difference of how we do access service according to your
will and purpose. So I speak life concerning all things living.
Come against any demonic influence, any demonic attacks over our lives,
over our ministries, over our families, in our jobs, in
our schools, any place you find a child of God.
(05:13):
Lot God, I pray that the hell's evil tactics will
not overcome us. That we will walk in victory every
single day of our lives until you return. And Jesus
Holy Name, pray it's by faith. And those who agree
with say Amen, sue the amen. So help me share
this out. Help me share this out sixty seconds, and
(05:35):
then when we come back, we'll get right into today's
morning devo acts of service. Today. I'll be right back
(06:58):
you men, we're back. Listen. It's time for us to
really put our faith in action. If you're not doing that, Amen,
come up out of where you are join those who
are active in their faith. Just if you don't want
to say anything or do anything right away in the beginning,
(07:20):
But just see for yourself what that looks like. Amen.
It's not only talking heads like me that I'm sitting
in studios in front of cameras. That's doing things I'm
talking about outside of our environment, outside of our comfort zone.
That we go out there and reach somebody with the
(07:40):
love of God outside of your comfort zone, outside of
your area, maybe at the supermarket, at the bank, at
the baseball game, football game, at an event at the mall.
Anywhere you go. You bring the Kingdom of Guy with you. Therefore,
you are prepared, You are ready to go. You are
(08:03):
ready to do what your commission to do is to
go and preach the gospel and make disciples, baptize them
in the name of the Father's Son and the Holy Ghost. Amen.
And you don't have to broadcast, you don't have to
lae stream it all the time. God is watching. Amen.
And to me, that's the audience that I'm more concerned about,
the audience of one which is the Lord. Amen. Since Joanne,
(08:25):
I see you, Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back
to the morning. Be with my sister and my friend.
Let's get into this word. Let's see what the Book
of Acts, one of my favorite New Testament books, has
to say about acts of service. How we should be
serving one another. Amen, according to the will of God
in our lives and through our lives. That's the powerful
(08:45):
thing that God could use anybody to have his will
done be done on earth. Amen. Sometimes I always say,
all you have to do is show up and God
will take it from there. Amen. We don't know what
to say or what to do every single time. I know,
at least for me, I don't know what to say.
Sometimes I don't know what to do sometimes in certain situations.
But just I just rely on Holy Spirit because I
(09:07):
know he knows what to do all the time. He
knows what to say all the time, and he will
always guide you into all truth. And he doesn't make
any mistakes. Amen. So therefore he's perfect. James shot the
one verse twenty seven. And this is what the apostle
James is saying that we should be. Our mindset should
be based on this pure and unblemish religion as it
(09:32):
is expressed in our ward acts and the sight of
our God and Father. Is this So when people call
me religious, I hope they're talking about pure religion, not
religion that's man made to visit and look after the
fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep
(09:54):
oneself uncontaminated by the secular world. Okay, so next time
somebody calls me, hey, I know you're a religious person,
I'm like, thank you, right. I don't like that word
over me, like, oh, he's a religious person. Unless they're
talking about pure and unblemish religion, then I'm like thank you, right,
(10:18):
Because if they see you looking after the followless, and
they see you right taking care of the widows that
are distressed, and if they see that you're trying to
keep yourself uncontaminated by the world, uncontaminated by the world,
then when they say you're religious, then that's a compliment.
But if they're saying that you're being religious according to
(10:39):
man made or rules and laws and man made this
and man made that, I don't want to I don't
want to take that as a compliment over my life. Amen,
And you probably don't want to take that as a
compliment either. If they're talking about some weird religious activities
that's out there, and then they're including you with that,
(11:00):
they see like a crazy preacher on TV that's talking
all kind of crazy things, right, And they say, oh,
you must be one of those religious guys. And you
could kindly say, nah, that's not the pure religion that
the Word of God talks about. That's their religious ways
of manipulating and getting their things done for themselves. And
(11:24):
that's not the idea of the Gospel. That's not the
idea of God's word that he was supposed to or
she was supposed to be proclaiming from those pulpits. So
don't buy into, you know, these preachers that are famous
that have TV networks and all this stuff and all
(11:44):
that stuff, and they seem to be the blessed right,
the elite, blessed Gospel preachers. Be careful. Just go and
stick with the Word of God. Stick to the script,
follow what the Word of God says, follow Holy Spirit God,
and let him leads you into all truth. To that way,
you won't get into these places of error or these
(12:05):
places of you know, whatever you want to call it.
I don't even know. Sometimes I look at certain things
and I'm like, what are they talking about? Like what's
going on here? That's not even the Word of God.
So practical acts of service when salvation takes root in
your heart. Like I said earlier, love for God and
people isn't just felt. The love for God for people
(12:28):
is lived out through actions, tangible actions, things that you
can actually do for a person. When next time you
go buy a homeless person, you know this person is homeless.
You see them out there all the time and all
kinds of weather, rain, snow, heat, and they're out there
and they're homeless. Listen, stop, talk to them as a
creation of God. Right, offer them something to eat. If
(12:52):
they ask for money, Amen, If you have it, give it, Amen,
and just keep it moving. Because if you see them
all the time in the same spot asking for help,
and you're a Christ follower and I'm a Christ follower
and we just walk by, it reminds me of the
Good Samaritan story. You know, keep on walking by people
who are hurt and walk to the other side of
(13:15):
the street and everything to avoid them. That's a pharasitical spirit,
that's a religious spirit. That's not the spirit of God.
And just be mindful. I know you know the people
in your area that do that and this amen. You
know the ones that are strung out, You know the
ones that are I call it an organized homelessness that
they go to different areas, tell you a story about
(13:36):
them being abandoned, them and their family, and then they
take your money. Then they go to another space and
they tell them the same story. So they've been abandoned
trying to get back home for like a year. Ready, Okay,
you know they could get you once, but use discernment.
Those people still need help because now they're in some
kind of like some kind of like scamish way of living,
(13:59):
which maybe they have no other way of getting by. Amen.
You could go ahead and speak to the person who's
created in the image of God as a person. Amen.
And we respect all humanity right as believers. We have
to respect people as creations of God made in the
image of God. So we approach them, not pointing fingers
(14:21):
and not saying you did this and you did that.
Approach them with love and see what happens. If they
don't receive it, they reject it, then we know the scripture.
We have to just keep it moving, Amen, and hope
and pray that someone else could will be able to
reach them. I can't reach everybody. You can't reach everybody,
but God has assignments for people to reach certain individuals
that we will not be able to reach. But our
(14:43):
job is to preach the gospel. Our job is to
be putting our faith in action as an acts of service,
so that when people know there is hope in this world,
that there are people who really care, there are people
who want to help, that there are people who are
filled with God's Holy spirit, that there is a truth,
absolute truth, There is a love, absolute love. There is
a way, absolute paths to righteousness. Amen. And there is
(15:07):
a life to live that's absolutely pure in the eyes
of God. Pure religion according to James Chapter one. Right.
So the Bible is consistent. Bible consistently calls believers to
care for the vulnerable, widows, orphans, the hungry, and the oppressed.
(15:27):
And we see oppression right, even though in America, the
type of oppression that people are talking about, it's not
the same oppression that people in remote countries and places
where there's no light, no electricity, no running water, and
the governments of those lands are keeping those people in
those situations for years upon years and decades. And we
(15:51):
have Christian missionaries, not only Christian missionaries, but Islamic missionaries,
people who have a good principles to help people. They're
putting their faith in action, and we should be in
those communities helping. Amen to that way, it's not a
competition to see or who can help the most people.
(16:13):
It's about being who we are in Christ and other
religions around that. Amen, when they see Christ's filled spirit,
holy spirit filled individual person serving, there's gonna be a
difference in the way that we serve a man. We're
serving with pure heart, pure motives, right, practicing pure religion,
(16:36):
feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, Amen, taking care of
the followless. We're doing what we do because we are
faithful to the one who is faithful to us. There's
no other explanation that I could think of why we
do what we do. Religion that God our Father accepts
as pure and faultless is when we look after the offense.
(16:58):
Is when we take care of the widows in their distress. Right,
and it looks like feeding the hungry, providing clothing for
the homeless and the people who need shelters, supporting them
as well, or simply just showing up and showing compassion
to those that the society around us overlooks or they
(17:22):
throw them out of their areas because they want to develop,
you know, whatever they want to develop in the areas
where the homeless are. I mean, it's an issue in
my area and wherever I'm broadcasting from, an issue with that, Amen.
And we need to be a part of the solution,
not just part of the complaining, not just part of
(17:42):
the problem. And that we should be part of the solution, Amen,
even if the local government doesn't want to take our advice.
But we should speak truth, we should speak love, We
should show that we're concerned, that we're available to help. Amen.
So that way without we can't be blamed. The Lord
wants us to be blameless. Amen. And we are blameless
(18:05):
according to the finished work of God and the apply
worker God. We're walking and striving to be blameless in
the eyes of men and the eyes of God. Of course.
So the service that we're doing is just it's just
not our word. It's also an inward service, strengthening, strengthening
the family of God. Amen. If we're not strong in
(18:26):
the faith in our families, it starts in our homes. Right.
If we're not strong as a unit when we go
out there, our weakness is going to be shown to
the world. Amen. If husband and wife are not united
and agreeing on the on the strong principles of our
faith and doing things together on that Amen, it's going
(18:48):
to show up when we go outside of the home.
If the children that are following this is this is
a tough part because the children right now in our times,
they're being driven led social media platforms, the enemy to
their souls right here in their hands. And we got
a lot of work to do as parents, especially nowadays.
(19:11):
And if they're not responding, Amen, as long as they're
in my home, I have little ones, young ones. As
long as they're in our house, they going to church.
They're gonna be around communities of believers. Amen. No one's
forcing them to believe in our God. But they're gonna
be actually exposed to the Christian lifestyle, exposed to the
(19:34):
Word of God, exposed to prayer life, exposed to mourning devotions,
exposed to gospel music, exposed to people who are filled
with Holy Spirit. And then they're gonna be able to
see the real ones, and they're gonna be able to
see the fake ones, and they're gonna know what to do. Amen.
As they get older, and they're gonna have to have
a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus. For themselves. We
(19:56):
could be good examples of how to live a life
filled with Christ, a life a christ like life. We
could be great examples. But ultimately they have to have
an encounter with the Lord. And God is faithful to
his promises. Train up a child in the way they
should go, and when they get older they will not
depart from that. And men the teachings of the Lord,
(20:16):
the prayers that they see. Amen. But we have to
start that from home. And that's an inward that's an
inward act of worship, an inward act of service, right
Hebrews ten twenty four and twenty five. Let us consider
how we may spur one another toward love and good deeds,
(20:39):
not giving up meeting together, but encouraging one another Hebrews ten,
twenty four and twenty five. So if that should be
happening in the Kingdom of God, an inward act of
service encouraging one another. As soon as I see people
like that are Christ followers bickering over things that really
don't matter in my humble opinion, then I'm like, yeah,
(21:02):
we have to we have to fix that. We can't
we can't be shouting, yelling at each other, can't be
pointing fingers and then using scripture to validate our our
error or our misconduct. Right. We have to be able
to be corrected, able to be approached, able to love
one another, able to be heard, able to speak. Amen,
(21:25):
as brothers and sisters in Christ. When you're in a family, right,
there's gonna be some disagreements. But when we go to
the Father, we have the same father. If we if
we have the same father, that means the Father will
decide what's right and what's wrong. His word will align
with our lives. We shoot align our lives with his
(21:46):
word and the inward acts of service. Amen. We shouldn't
be out here acting like the world and cutting each
other off because we don't agree in certain things. That's
worldly and that's not from the spirit of God. According
to the scriptures, we're supposed to spur one another on
toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together,
(22:08):
but encouraging one another. Right. That could be as simple
as praying for someone. Does not over spiritualize everything. Right,
we could just show up and pray for one another,
send somebody uplifting texts or old school, put something in
the mail for somebody if you know their address. Right,
(22:28):
about mentoring a younger believer that's inward acts of service,
about standing along someone in their struggles when they're struggling
and when they need help, right, whatever happens to that.
And I know a lot of people doing that, Amen,
And hopefully I'm part of that that helping someone who's struggling. Amen.
(22:49):
I want, like I said earlier, I don't know the answers.
I can't reach everybody, but maybe you could reach somebody
that I can reach, and I could maybe text you
a call, you say, hey, I have a young lady
that's brought up in x y Z, sister of Christ,
can you help me, you know, with this young lady.
(23:09):
And you know we'll make a way when it seems
to be no way. God always makes a way for us.
So let's be following suit and help people who are
hopeless and show them that there is hope. Amen. And
actually that's happening in Malihih Valley with word on the
(23:29):
way they are. The Ministry is doing four Nights of Hope, Amen,
and Sunday Monday Tuesday today is the fourth night. So
look up the social media Word on the Way Four
Nights of Hope from the Timeless recording because I know
I can't date these because ten years from now it's
(23:50):
not going to be happening. But from the time it's recording,
it's happening, and that's bringing hope to the community. They're
doing access service ladies and gentlemen, and they fill the
inspired by holy ghosts, and it's something to see, it's
something to watch for, something to be mindful that it's
happening in our area. All I'm back from the Eastern
the Leehah Valley, and beyond amazing when you see it
(24:14):
happening in real life and real time. The works of
God that acts, the good deeds, the encouragement, the powerful Word,
the know any thing of God, holy Spirit, fire and man.
When you see it, you start being like, this is
the way things should be. Should be that should be
out with normal supernatural way of living, should be our
way of normal life. A man as a believer sharing
(24:35):
the Gospel with the loss, right, this is never going
to go out of style, sharing the Gospel with the loss.
I was lost once before what about you, Amen? And
I heard the gospel. I resisted, I rejected until I
came to my senses, and I asked God to come
(24:57):
and change my life. Because I heard so much about
this changing life God, this God that could change and
save and rescue and redeem. I said, you know what,
I heard enough of it. I need to see the
acts right now in my life. Amen. And because of
God's grace, he didn't have to. Because of god grace.
Of his grace, he met me where I was. Now
(25:18):
he's taking me to where he is. Shared the Gospel,
one of the greatest acts of service is leading someone
to eternal life in Christ. When we saw that in
real life firsthand, and we saw a soul being saved,
and then I started going to a six pm evangelistic
training in city Limits in Allentown Pastor Jimmy. Amen. I
(25:43):
was like hooked, and I said, when I saw a
soul saved in front of my eyes, that's how the
Lord gave us the ministry called soul winners. Amen. But
I'm out of time. I hope you get what I'm saying.
We'll probably jump into this again this week. Accesser. Amen.
Read James chapter one. We were in verse number twenty seven.
(26:04):
I believe, Amen, and take James Chapter one. Read the
whole chapter for yourself to get the full context. Amen.
Some am out of time, but God bless you. Thank
you so much for hanging out with me for these
morning DeVos. I hope you will blessed. God bless you all.
God keep you all, and remember always, always remember this,
that God is good. Peace,
