Throughout history, people have tried to close the gap between themselves and God through:

Religion: performing rituals or following laws

Morality: trying to be good enough

Philosophy: searching for truth apart from God

Materialism: filling the void with possessions or pleasure

But none of these work, because sin creates an uncrossable gulf that only God can bridge.

(00:25):
It's Friday, so we're gonna switch gears. Amen. This is
this authentic imitationology where we try to imitate the most
successful person who has ever lived on this planet Earth,
the Lord Jesus Christ himself. This is episode one two,
one hundred and thirty two times we got together on
a Friday on this mission to authentically follow Jesus. Amen,

(00:47):
to try to imitate the Lord. The Bible says, imitate God.
Paul said, follow me as a follow Christ. The apostle
said that a matter. I think it was Paul, And
basically the whole idea is to look at the Lord's life, Amen,
and imitate what he did, what he's doing, what he

(01:07):
continues to do, what his word says. Amen. So we
had the mindset of being that way as believers in Christ,
right as brothers and sisters and as children of the
Most High God. So we're here, man, it's Friday, so
let's get into it today. Interesting topic. God and man.
There's a problem having you notice that there's a problem

(01:30):
in our culture. Not a problem with God. God has
no problems, right, God is perfect. But man. Through our
history people have tried Mankind has tried to close the
gap between themselves and God through different ways. For instance, religion.

(01:51):
And we know there's how many religions out there, lots
of religions. Religion is performing rituals or following laws. Tell
me how that works out. Amen. When I see religious
people doing religious things, they don't look happy. Now, on
the other end of that, there's cults that look very

(02:12):
happy doing what they're doing religiously, Amen, because they're kind
of like swept away by the idea of what they're
doing for society, for the community. Amen. So religion doesn't
cut it. Morality trying to be good enough? How good
do you have to be to gain favor or to

(02:33):
gain access to the Kingdom of God, or to gain
favor with God or the deity that you serve? How
good do you have to be? And how about if
you are on a string of doing good. It's like
the wild card playoffs, Right, you could do good and
then you get into the playoffs. You can do good
all season, right, Yankees? You could do good all season,

(02:54):
then when you get to the big game, a man,
you lose. So how much do you have to win
before you lose? How good do you have to be
before you do something bad? Morality doesn't close the gap
between God and man. How about this philosophy? Lovers of
knowledge searching for truth apart from God? That right there,

(03:20):
ladies and gentlemen, I think that's where a lot of
us are. A lot of us were, at least I'm
born again. Hopefully you're born again. But weren't we searching
for truth outside from God? That's philosophy and materialism huge,
especially in the entertainment industry, which is actually going down
with AI and saraw too and all this other stuff

(03:43):
coming out. I don't know how actors, singers, musicians, rappers,
you know, I don't know how that industry is going
to last. But anyway, materialism filling the void with possessions
or pleasure of these work. Obviously, because sin creates uncrossable

(04:05):
golf and uncrossable golf that only God can bridge. Proverbs
fourteen twelve is where we're going to land today, Amen,
as we look today on the morning DEVO. So if
you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, or anything
along those lines, please don't hesitate to leave it on
a live chat. That's what we're here for. That's what

(04:26):
we do here at so Winners Inc. Celebrated Network. Amen.
So we are here for each other, Amen, So don't
hesitate to leave a comment, question, concern, prayer request if
you're listening from the radio station online Celebrated Network. The
apps are available on for your Android device or for
your iOS device, for your Apple device. Amen. Just go

(04:48):
to the stores that your device have, Amen, and go
and search for Sellout Radio Network. Amen, and you'll see
the apps there. It's kind of cool app, hey man.
And we're developing more things for it. But it's out
there live now. So if you want that. I know
a lot of people are into apps rather than going

(05:10):
to websites. Aymen, So we got you covered there. Proverbs
fourteen twelve. Let's pray. After we pray, we'll shut us
out for like sixteen sixty I was gonna say, sixteen seconds.
Sixty seconds, Man, sixteen seconds would be like im blingham
an I We're gonna shut us out for sixty seconds,
and then on the other side of those sixty seconds,
when we come back, we'll get into Proverbs chapter fourteen,

(05:31):
verse number twelve. Let's pray, Father, thank you so much.
I'm so grateful for this time right now, for this
space right now, thank you for the opportunity to really
see your word for what it really is through the
eyes and lens of your spirit, holy spirit that lives
within every single one of your children. Lord God, I pray,
Lod God, I hedge your protection surround us with your

(05:53):
arkween angels, that there will be no weapon that will
be forced against us by the enemy. That we'll be
able to withstand the protection or would be able to
break down the wall of protection that you create around us,
because you love us and the Angel of the Lord
and camps around those who love you according to your word.
Our pray, Lord God, that you will continue to inspire us,

(06:15):
to motivate us and move us forward in victorious ways.
That Lord Guy, that you will get the glory, that
you will get the honor of worship and praise at
least from this side of things, and hopefully everyone on
the other side of the screen, on the other side
of this might will receive a revelation and will give
you praise for it, Lord Jesus. Our pray, Lord God,

(06:36):
that you will continue to show us and teach us
that there is a divide, that there is a gap,
uncrossable gap between God and man. Until you did what
you did so many years on that cross on cavalry,
that you really close the gap. The bridge is now
made between God and man because of your sacrifice, your blood,

(06:58):
your love, your mercy, your grace. So I thank you,
Lord God and forever in debt for what you have done,
and so many people will give you the same honor
and praise for that what you have done. I pray
this so for myself, my wife, our children, our grandchildren,
our family, both sides of the family, from the very
youngest family member to the very oldest, and every single

(07:20):
person in between. I pray that over every single family
that's watching on the other side of the screen and
on the other side of this mic as well. So
thank you, Lord God for today, thank you for right now.
I give you honor, worship, and my praise every day,
every single day, including today, and Jesus Holy Name. We
pray this by faith, and those who agree with this
praise we say amen to the Amen. Sister Joyce, I

(07:40):
see you, good morning, my sister and my friend, God
bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo. Thank you
for the blessings for the group as well. On my
honor to have you on the morning Devo. My sister,
my friend, God bless you. Frank Selia, God bless you. Amen,
good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo.
My sister, my friends, to Joanne, I see you, good morning,

(08:01):
God bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo's good
to see you, my sister and my friend. Let's take time,
sixty seconds, help me share this out. When we come back,
we'll get right into today's proverb, Chapter fourteen, verse number twelve.
Every right back, Amen, Amen. So many groups a little time, Amen.

(09:34):
But I'm honored and thank you so much for all
the groups out there that allow this morning Devo to
be shared on your pages. I'm grateful for that and
I'm humble about that. So listen, visit the website. So
when is with a Z dot org Forwards says donate.
Don't be afraid. There's not gonna be no auto button
that you're gonna oppress. And you get to give to

(09:55):
the ministry right off the bat. Amen. No credit card
required or nothing like that. I just I want you
to see the vision of the ministry is right there
on that page. Amen, Pray about it. Ask God what
you would do concerning supporting the Ministry of Soul Winners, inc. Amen,
and then we'll take it from there. But thank you

(10:15):
so much for visiting, Amen and giving that page of viewing. Amen.
And if you're tech savvy, you could have that thing
read itself. So that way, if you don't want to
read the whole thing, you could literally have it read itself.
If you're tech savvy, you know the code to put
that through your phone or your device. Amen. So let's

(10:36):
go for it. Let's go to scripture for today. Amen.
In the Book of Proverbs, when we're talking about God
and man, the bridge between God and man. That religion,
like I said earlier, materialism, religion, morality, all those things
doesn't close the gap between God and man. Those things

(10:57):
are tools a man. Those things could be used a religion,
morality philosophy and materialism could be used to better yourself. Right,
we could make things better, but they're not the end all,
be all, and all way to get to God. Amen.
Let's go to the scripture before I start going in

(11:18):
a different direction. Amen, something that's popped in my mind.
But let's go to the scripture. Be obedient to the scriptures, right, Amen,
because otherwise I'll just be doing commentary, and that's not
what we're here for. My opinion, We're not here from
my opinion, God and Man. Proverbs fourteen twelve says, there
is a way which seems right to a man and

(11:43):
appears straight before him, but it's end is the way
of death. Repeat, there is a way which seems right
to a man, and of course here it's not only men,
women are included. Mankind appears straight before him, but its
end is the way of death. So that therefore, sometimes

(12:07):
we do things and it seems right right seeing it
appears right, looks like it's the right path, looks like
the right way. But the end of that outside of God,
outside of Christ, outside of Holy Spirit, outside of the
Community of Christ, outside of the body of Christ, the
end is the way of death. And because the world

(12:28):
dresses is up, dresses itself up. Soul fancy makes everything
look pretty, makes sin glamorous, makes death glamorous. Halloween is
a perfect example of that. How Halloween is a worship
unto the God of the dead, and the world system
creates this family atmosphere around Halloween, which is actually a

(12:52):
demonic holiday. Amen. If you don't want to, if you
don't want to believe that about it, Amen, you do
your research. But the world has a way of sin
are real good And we know sin is not good.
We know sin separates us from a holy, righteous, loving God.
We know that sin only pleases the flesh of mankind,

(13:17):
doesn't please the spirit of God. As a matter of fact,
the Bible says the sin of the flesh is enemies
to the spirit of God. Wow. So that means God
didn't come to save our flesh. He came to save
our soul. Jesus saved our soul. He's the ultimate soul winner. Amen.
His record is no losses, all wins, Amen, And Jesus

(13:42):
is the ultimate soul winner. But listen, and that's only
by choice. Jesus chose to lay his life down for us,
and we choose whether or not we serve the Lord
or not. I believe that no one is with an
excuse accornitive scripture. People see Creation can be in the
remote island of wherever part of the world, and no evangelist,

(14:04):
no preacher has ever witnessed to you, or you've never
heard about the Lord Jesus. But when you look at creation,
you wonder. Right, people wants to be wondering how did
that happen? Who did this? Amen? So that means in
the hearts of every single person on his home tire planet,
there was no excuse for us not to seek after

(14:27):
the God of Creation. And even if you don't know
the Lord's name, if you're in a remote island, you
don't know the name of Jesus, just Shiahamashiek Right, Yeahua,
you don't know his name, that's the right. He knows
who he is. And if you call out to him,
he knows who you're calling on, like the Lord Jesus is.

(14:47):
That's right, he's a soul Win of Francelia. Yes, so
this is interesting. Let me get to my notes. I
wanted to share this because I think this is really interesting.
The lemma between man and God, well God and man.
So we're already read that. Throughout history, people have tried

(15:09):
to close the gap between themselves and God through man
made effort, and it doesn't work. None of these things
that I've read about work. But I told you about work. Religion, morality,
and philosophy and materialism. Religion is a hot topic. Our
Muslim friends that I've met, they told me that their
religion is the best religion in the world. And I've

(15:32):
met some very open hearted, nice, gentle spirited Muslim families, Amen,
beautiful people. But their religion, they say, is the best
religion in the world. Right, But then when you go
into the religion itself by way of their holy scriptures,

(15:54):
their scriptures, the Koran and the Hadith and all that,
you find out that the writers of those religions not
only Muslim, but Buddhism, Christianity as a religion, and all
these other in between, Mormonism, Joy of a Witness, Bahai,
all these faith systems. Right, you start reading up about it,

(16:16):
you start reading their laws and regulations, You'll be like,
that's not attainable. Nobody could do that, right, even the
Law of Moses, the tank commandments, right, the Bible says
no one can live by those standards, we all fall
short of the glorious standards of God. Only Jesus himself.

(16:36):
You take every religion in the whole entire universe, and
you're get to find that only Jesus himself completed the
laws and the prophet of his day and of all eternity.
He's the perfect sinless man that lived on his planet. Anyway,
none of these things work because sin right, sin creates

(16:58):
an uncrossable gulf that only God can bridge. So good
deeds can erase sin. Good deeds cannot erase sin. If
they could, then that means we will be tick for
tac I sin. So let me do a good deed
to erase that sin. I do something wrong, Let me
do a good deed to make that wrong right. You

(17:21):
know I broke the law. Let me do a good deed. Amen,
So that way I won't get penalized for breaking that law.
That's not the way it works. As a matter of fact,
if anybody has the time to live that way, let
me know, text me comment, or do something, because that's
not the way a person could live. There's not enough
time for us to be trying to wipe away sins
by doing good deeds. That'll be a back and forth

(17:43):
hamster wheel for sure. Amen. That doesn't work. Since a
joy says, by nature, we know there is our God. Yes, Amen,
we know it. We see it in creation. Open your eyes.
Look around. Someone created, but we see in the stars,
the heavens, the earth, the clouds. Listen. I was gonna

(18:07):
I was going to use some manipulative I'll admit it,
manipulas verbiage on a post the other day. Yesterday. I
was gonna put, hey, I'm gonna release some dirt about myself, right,
And I was gonna say, dm me for the dirt
on me. And then when people would DM me, I

(18:27):
don't know why I was thinking about this, I would say, yeah,
I was made from it. Get it. So listen, I
can't do things on my own and my own strength
to gain favor with God because He created us from dirt. Amen.
So if you want the dirt on brother Sam, Amen,
this is it. I was made from it. God created

(18:50):
us from the dirt of the earth. Amen. So therefore
we need to stay humble and know that God is
the only way that we can bridge this gap between
us and Him. And he satisfied the sin debt. He
paid for it all, Amen, through the sacrifice of the
Lord Jesus Christ. So good deeds, can't I raise sin?

(19:12):
Only a perfect, sinless sacrifice could remove the barrier between
God and humanity. I'm gonna say that again, only a
perfect You ever heard that saying practice makes perfect, I'm
starting to rethink that. I'm starting to think that only
perfect practice makes perfect. And the only one that perfectly

(19:36):
practiced was the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen, his sinless sacrifice
removed the barrier between God and humanity. The solution has
always been the Lord Jesus Christ, the one who bridged
the gap between God and man. So we know that.
In Romans five to eight, it says, but God demonstrates

(19:57):
his own love. Please don't miss that word own his
own love. It doesn't say God demonstrated love. It says
God demonstrates his own love for us in this while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us Romans five eight. God,

(20:17):
in his mercy, didn't leave us out their loss. Busted
and disgusted, he made a way through his son, the
Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Sister Joanne says, I asked used
to pray for my husband. He's not feeling too good
as of me. I am so stressed out. My anxiety
is acting up so bad. I have talked to one

(20:38):
of the sisters last night. I thank the Lord for
her being in contact with me. I have too much
on myself being taken care of all of them and
my sister. But little little Lord is so good with me. Amen,
he is, sister. He gives me the strength, and I
thank the Lord for that. Every morning he gives me
a date to wake up. Amen. Amen. So during the

(21:02):
stress and during the time of anxiety, Amen, you're giving
God praise. You're already on the right path path, and
people will see that and be like, Wow, my sister's
going through a lot, but she still holds on to
the one who closed the gap between God and man.
So we'll continue to pray for you. Prayer works, and
God is being so graceful and merciful with us, isn't

(21:24):
he that even though we go through things. The other day,
I was so I don't know what happened. My body
was being attacked by some sickness or whatever a man,
and all through the sickness or the attack, I just
kept on mentioning the name of the Lord. Amen, Because
I know he's the only one that could truly make
me hold again and truly return health back to my body.

(21:44):
Thank you Lord Jesus. Man well, I see you, good morning.
It's good to see you on the morning devo with
my friend and my bro. So we know that nothing
that we could create or that we could think of,
no self help book, nothing like that. No methodology, no
system of religion, or system of good deeds or organizations

(22:05):
can bridge the gap between God and man. Jesus took
care of the sin that he took care of the
problem of sin. Amen. Now what are we going to
do about it? We just need to show up, Amen,
and we'll reap the benefits of the finished work of
Jesus Christ on that cross, and not only the finished work,

(22:27):
but now the applied work that he's doing in your
life and in my life as we move forward in
this time that we're living in. Amen. That is right,
my sister, we overcome by the testimonies of our mouth.
Thank you man Well for encouraging sister Joan. So the
separation that sin caused was bridged by the blood of Jesus.

(22:48):
It's the gospel. Amen. We've been talking about the Gospel
message all this week. Right through faith in Him, what happens.
We are forgiven. Right through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We're restored and we're brought near to God, the nearness
of God. Amen. It's a mystery right to us as mankind,

(23:08):
as humans. Where is God when this and that happen? Amen?
Or a lot of people say I feel the Holy Spirit,
whatever that means, and a lot of people say I
don't feel God whatever that means. Right. So we have emotions,
we're emotional beings. Amen. But there's the difference between the
facts and the truth. In other words, the fact is, Man,

(23:32):
you might not be in a good place with the Lord,
you might not be feeling him. But the truth is,
if you're born again, he lives within you. Amen. So
there's a difference between how we feel and the truth.
Is the difference between facts, what we see in the
temporal and the truth of eternity. Right. We're only here

(23:54):
for a short time. It's like the Bible says, we're
like a vapor, you know, like a like a breath.
We're here today and gone tomorrow. Amen, Here today and
going tomorrow. Manuel says, praise refuses the enemy. Yes, because
he'd like, He's like, I threw everything at that person

(24:17):
and they're still praising God. He's going to be like,
I don't know what else to do. And we're gonna
be like, well, we're submitting to God, we're resisting you.
You're gonna have to go. We're gonna tell to them
away I has to do. He's gonna have to run
up out of here. Manuel says, it's what we speak
when going through life challenges. Yes, very important, what we
speak when we're going through life challenges. Thank you, But

(24:39):
the Manuel for that. I'm running out of time here,
so let me get to one more point. In Ephesians
chapter two, verse thirteen, the Bible says, but now in
Christ Jesus, who once we're far away. But now in
Christ Jesus, you who once were far away, had been

(25:00):
I brought near by the blood of Christ. Amen. So
there was a huge divide, because I will wackness and
sin right and God God is holy, and we were sinful.
But Jesus Amen provided away and total access to the

(25:22):
Lord by way of his sacrifice on that cross. There's
a lot more here, not enough time, Amen. Listen. Go
to Proverbs chapter fourteen, verse number twelve. Look at that,
then read the whole chapter to get the context. And
this question about God and man and how we could
breach the gap is an eternal question, Amen, But it

(25:43):
has an eternal answer, and it's only one way, one truth,
and one life. And that's the Lord Jesus Christ. Think
about it real clearly. Amen. So I'm out of time.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. God bless you all.
Thank you so much for hanging out with me for
these morning DeVos. God bless you all. God keep you all,
and remember always that God is good. Peace.
