Speaker 1 (00:02):
Morning Family, Good morning, God blessed you. Welcome back to
the Morning Devo. It's Friday, so we switch gears and
we get into authentic Imitationology. This is episode one hundred
and thirty seven. One thirty seven, Amen. And I realized
when I was looking at the playlist on YouTube for
Authentic Imitationology, I missed episode one hundred and twenty. I

(00:23):
don't know what happened. I after look into that. If
you remember what happened after one hundred and nineteen, let
me know. I'm maybe even thinking I forgot to load
it up or something happened that had disappeared.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
But we basically got.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Together FO one hundred and thirty six times. Then if
one hundred and twenty is missing, right, So that's just
something on my end.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I just wanted to put that.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Out there, Authentic imitationology, where we try to imitate the
most successful person who has ever lived on this planet
and we authentically imitate him.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
He's the Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
But we're gonna talk about something that we're gonna call
Doorway to Eachternity, door Way to Eternity. We've been on
this eternal mindset right for the past week or so.
The quickest way to drift spiritually, like to lose your
grip on your spiritual life in Christ, is to look
away from Jesus, point blank period.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
When you look away.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
From Jesus, you'll start drifting away in other places where
you will never imagine that you will ever get to right.
Life will always offer distractions. There's going to be fear, comparison, stress, temptation,
and pain. All those things are fighting for our eyes

(01:41):
and man. But the Lord wants us to focus on Him,
the perfect one, right. Why would you continue to focus
on chaos issues in life when you have the one
that is full of peace, joy, mercy, grace, love, hope, truth, right, forgiveness.
Jesus is all of that. We're gonna be in John

(02:02):
chapter fourteen, verses two and three. John fourteen, two and three.
We're calling this one the doorway to Eternity, Amen, doorway
to Eternity. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests,
or anything along those lines, please don't hesitate to leave
it on the live chat.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
That's what we're here for.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Also, if you're at live that so win is with
a zia Org is a live chat there as well.
It's very it's a very calm website, no distractions. Amen
is an interactive Bible right there on the website. It's
an online church platform, so you have everything you need.
You can take notes right there on the website as well.
So I'm excited about that. So let's go for it.

(02:43):
We're gonna pray first. After we pray, we shut it
out for like sixty seconds, and then on the other
side of those sixty seconds, we'll get right into today's
Authentic Imitationlogy.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Episode one thirty seven. You're ready. I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray peace over
every single situation right now in my life and in
your life, the people that are on the other side
of the screen and on the other side of this mic,
that they would experience the peace that God provides, The
peace that this world does not understand.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Belongs to the Lord's children.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
We have the eternal peace, We have the inner peace
that we need to live in this outer experience.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
We thank you, Lord God for that peace.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
And we thank you Lord God that you give us
health to our body, strength to our bones, and that
you keep us guarded, God in and protected.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
I pray a hedge of.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Protection over myself, my wife, our children, our grandchildren, our
family members from the oldest to the youngest, and every
single person in between. And I pray the same hedge
of protection over every single person that's connecting now who
connect later, their families, their friends, their surroundings, that Lord God,
that you would dispatch arquen angels to annihilate the tactics

(03:52):
of the enemy, to push back darkness and bring the
light of Christ into the situation where we know that
you are the doorway to eternity. Thank you, Lord God
for offering us eternal life. Thank you, Lord God for
rescuing us, saving us, and giving us a brand new life,
a brand new start, a born again experience. Thank you,
Lord God for what you continue to do. And we

(04:13):
focus on you today, Lord God, and every day as
we go through this season of Christmas season at the
time of this recording, but when we go through any season,
as long as we stay focused on You, we can
trust and know that you will get us to the
other side. And Jesus, holding name, my prayde by faith
with thanksgiving, knowing that you hear these prayers and your
answer these prayers according to your purpose, will and plan

(04:34):
for each individual that needs it right now, and Jesus
holdly name pradis by faith, and those who agree with
say amen, sue the amen.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Amen. So let's go forward. Since to Joanne, I see you.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Good morning, God bless you and your family as well
as we can see to move forward right, Let's.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Take a minute to share this out.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
When we come back, we'll get right into today's morning
Devo Authentic Inmentationology Status Episode one hundred and thirty seven.
I'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Thank you so much for sharing this out. Thank you
so much for visiting the website as well. If you
haven't downloaded the apps for Celebrated Network a Man, we're
available two four seven on the iOS and on the
Android app as well.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Sis Jorian gives me an amen. So that means we
agree with the prayer. Most importedly, we agree with the
word and we agree with Jesus.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Sister Joanne says, I thank God for another day he
gives us. I know you are praying for us. My
husband is not feeling too good. You know, he has
anemia cancer in his blood. All I ask the Lord
is when I'm with me, don't take him. He is
not feeling himself in Jesus name. We pray, Lord God
that you will contain to sustain maintained, and if it

(06:54):
pleases you, Low God, that you would just heal him
completely from this cancer. And Jesus Holy, keep us post
to Sister Joan, and keep the faith and keep touching the.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Garments of the Lord Jesus.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Amen, keep grabbing onto his word, his promises, and be
stubborn about it. Never let go of God, never lose
focus on what Jesus has done and what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Thank you for sharing that personal thing in your life
and trusting us with that.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
On the group. So let's go for it. Amen. Let's
see what the word of God has for us today. Amen.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Every day is a new day avenge. You notice in
our worst times, the next day comes and people who
don't know what we're actually going through. Amen, They go
about their normal lives.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
And people are going through stuff, so we have to
be mindful of that. I was sharing a story. One
of my picked someone up from the hospital and we
had a long trip back to his home and we
were talking about stories of kindness, stories of people that
really impacted our lives. He was an older gentleman he
was eighty years old, just like my mom is eighty something.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Eighty. Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
It was an interesting conversation. And of course when we
were talking about when we were talking about kindness, we
never met this man in my life, Amen. But we
were talking about kindness, the Lord Jesus came up, because
he does come up when it comes to something that's good,
when it's something that's for others, right, something that selfless,
the name of Jesus usually comes up.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
You know me, I was gonna bring him up anyway, regardless.
When we were on that stream, we were on that
line of kindness, Amen. So we were sharing some stories
about people in our lives that have showed us kindness,
and thank God for that.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Right. So let's go for it.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Imitationology, authentically imitating the Lord Jesus Christ, authentic inventationalogy. Let
me get this on the screen for those who are watching,
for those who are listening, no worries. We're gonna read
this word for word, so that way you won't miss
out on anything that we're looking at and that we're seeing.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
The Way to Eternity, John Chapter fourteen, Verses two and three.
Jesus said, in my father's house are many dwelling places.
If it were not so, I would have told you
because I am going there to prepare a place for you.

(09:15):
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back again and I will take you
to myself, so that where I am you may be also.
So that means that's preparation going on right now. The
Lord Jesus himself help himself, is preparing a place for

(09:37):
you and for me. It might not seem that we
deserve that, Amen, But he made that decision, and he's
telling us the truth he said. If it was not
the truth, he would have not told us. Preparation is
the plan of God too. Right, He's preparing a place
for you, He's preparing a place for me. So when

(09:58):
we had that in our minds, we live focused knowing
that the Lord Jesus Christ is not going to leave
us in a situation where we're we're stuck, that we
can't get out of, amen, and that this is it,
This is not it.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
This is preparation.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Jesus is preparing a place for us outside of what
this is currently in our lives. So when Scripture tells
us to fix our eyes on Jesus it's not calling
us to like casually glance at him. It's not calling
us to do that. It's calling us to focus. Man,

(10:35):
stay focused. We have a direction. We have dependence right
on God that shapes our entire life. Right Peoples twelve
and two says, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author
and finisher of our faith. I say that, and I
quote that a lot through prayer and through how I speak.

(10:57):
It's because who else am I gonna focus on? That's
going to give me perfection, that's gonna give me truth,
that's gonna give me love, that's going to be the
most reliable, trustworthy, a man, faithful, full of grace and mercy.
Who else is like that on this planet? Think about it?
In your relationships, in your family, in your marriage, do
you have that one complete mercy, grace, love, truth?

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Think about it.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
We all fall short of the glory standards of God
right as human beings, but we have the Holy One
living within us, which he is perfect, he is kind,
he is just.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
He's leading us into all truth, not all lies.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
So when we stay focused on who we are in
Christ and who Christ is in us, man, our life
will change our whole entire life will change.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Why Jesus.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
People always ask me that, why is Jesus the only way?
Why you Christians idolize him worship him?

Speaker 2 (11:55):
We don't idolize Jesus. We worship him.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
But Jesus gets the glow worry because of what he
does in the lives of all those whosoevers who called
upon the name of the Lord.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Think about it. It can't be.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Well, maybe it is possible that billions of people or
millions of people around the world have similar testimonies. Right
would it be that we're conspiring with one another that
my brothers in Australia, my sisters in Australia, in Christ.
I call them up and I say, listen, when they
ask about your testimonies, say something similar to mine. No,

(12:29):
it's impossible. We are worshiping the one, true, living, Holy,
Righteous One, Jesus to Christ, the perfect reflection or the
perfect image of the invisible God. Amen, and we're focusing
on him. This is not a religion. This is more
of a relationship with the God of Him and the earth.
He came down in the form of a man right

(12:50):
on a rescue mission, and he completed that mission, and
we're born again We're saved because of him, not because
of anything that you've done in somebody else's life or
I done in somebody else's life. But we trust, and
we put our faith and hope and trust in the
Lord Jesus.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Why Jesus, Because he's the beginning.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Of our faith, the builder of our faith, and the
completion of our faith. And I'll go a little further
and say he's the completion of Yahweh, completion of Jehovah.
Amen is Jesus. Not a lot of people like that.
They said, what do you mean in completion? Well, he
completed the law and the prophets. Right, he fulfilled the law.

(13:31):
He didn't come to a botisht. They came to complete it.
And who else do you know right now that's trying
to live by the commandments of God that fulfills them
all the time?

Speaker 2 (13:42):
You should you shouldn't have to think long a man.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
You should automatically say, no, one other than Jesus completes
the law and the prophets and the prophecies. So we
know Jesus is the only way into eternal life. Therefore,
he's the doorway to eternity. There's many passing life, right,
people say, why is Jesus the only way to heaven?

(14:07):
Because Jesus said, I am the Way, they truth and
the life. No one gets to the Father except through me.
Maybe the quote from Jesus is the reason why we
believe that there's only one way into heaven. There's only
one way to get to the Father is through the
Lord Jesus Christ, he said to himself. So people really
don't have problems with a Christian. People have problems with
what Christ said. Think about it. I'm just repeating, right,

(14:32):
I'm just repeating what the word says.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
What about you?

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Once you start going and losing focus and start talking
other things, worldly things, concepts and made up ideas. Once
you go that route, you're in trouble a man. That's
why we need each other and we need to stay
focused on who Jesus is. So John fourteen six, the
statement that Jesus made rings through out all out all eternity,

(14:57):
and no one who wants to go against Jesus. No
one wants to quote this. They don't want to quote this.
Jesus says, I am the Way, the Truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me. Right,
He is not a door like a physical door, Amen,
but he is the doorway. He's not a door, physical door,

(15:22):
but he's the doorway, the entrance to eternity. So when
you answer through him, through the Lord Jesus, you step
into ever lasting life, everlasting. There's more to life than
what we are experiencing right now, and I hope that brings.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Hope to your life.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Right struggle, pain, sickness, disease, lack of whatever that lack is,
this is not it. This is our preparation. Earth is
preparation for our destiny with the Lord. So looking at
Jesus keeps you from drifting away. Like I said earlier,

(16:01):
the quickest way to drive spiritually spiritually is to look
away from Jesus.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Right.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Life will always offer its own distractions. Life will try
to make you go into some kind of fear. Right,
life will try to bring chaos to your mindset. But
when you focus on Jesus, Amen, fear goes away. Comparison

(16:27):
doesn't matter. I'm not going to compare my life with
the Joneses, Amen, no pun intended. My neighbors and man,
look at their driveway, look at their Christmas decorations, look
at their card?

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Are you kidding me? Am? I going to really.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Focus on that, and I focus on the blessings in
my life and the blessings in your life.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Amen. Let's look at the blessings of the.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Lord, and then all the comparison, worldly comparison, materialistic things
will start.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Really getting real low in our.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Way of thinking compared to the highest of highest God.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
So when Peter walked on water, you remember the story
in Matthew chapter fourteen. Peter walked on water as long
as he kept his eyes on Jesus. The moment Peter
looked at the wind and the waves, what happened. He
began to sink. I believe that's a lesson that the
Lord wanted us to learn, that wants us to learn.

(17:25):
When Peter was focused on the one who told them
to come out of the water, onto the water, out
of the boat, onto the water, he was fine.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
When he was focused on the one who called them.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
You're gonna be okay too when you focus on the
one who called you. Amen, no matter what, keep on
going in the direction that Jesus wants you to go,
Keep on focusing on the Lord, the author and finisher.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Of our faith.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Keep going, don't stop, don't look to your left and
look to the right.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Is nothing there. There's nothing there.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
When you stay and focused on the Lord, watch what
happens in your life, Amen, watch what happens. Your focus
determines your faith. I'm gonna say that again. Your focus,
whatever you're focused on, you normally will go towards and men.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
When you're driving. I drive a lot.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
If I focus on my left or my right on
things that are not in front of me, I'm going
to tend to drift in those directions. Think about it.
Life is like that. Your eyes go where your life
will follow. So wherever your eyes go, your life will follow.

(18:38):
So if your eyes are going to sex, drugs and violence, right,
your life follows that.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
But if your.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Life is focused and your eyes go where the Lord
is seek ye first the Kingdom of God, then your
life will follow.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
That very honest way of thinking about this.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Right, if you look at what the Lord has done
in the lives of every single person that you know
to be a Christian, a follower of Christ, you see
the good and the bad, but you also see someone
that's determined to not let go. You also see somebody
that's in prayer. You also see somebody that's in community.
With the faith, the community of believers of faith. You

(19:21):
see somebody that's filled with holy spirits, see somebody that's kind.
You see somebody that's full of joy. You see somebody
that's offering gifts of talent, treasure, and time. Amen, You're
get to see a difference between that person, whoever that
person is in your life, might be you in the
mirror a man than the people who are in the world,
who they have no hope, they are lost, They're walking

(19:44):
in darkness, they're.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Comparing, they're in fear.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
They are doing everything that the Lord calls us out
of They're stressed out. Temptation overrules their life. Pain is
their focus, and all those things that are fighting for
their attention, they're going into us. We're fighting against that right.
We don't war against flesh and blood. We wore in

(20:08):
the spiritual realm. Amen. Our weapons on our carnal, our
weapons on our knives, bats and guns. Our weapons are
spiritual weapons, Amen, weapons of love, grace, mercy, kindness, truth.
We lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
We call out demons in the name of Jesus. We
say our rebuke you the name of Jesus. Demon, come
out in the name of Jesus, and there's no other

(20:29):
conversation after that. All those hyper ways of doing casting
out that you see on YouTube and on social media,
to me and my humble opinion, is nonsense. The name
of Jesus alone causes demons to tremble. So when you
cast out somebody that has a demon, you cast out

(20:49):
a demon out of somebody and the name of Jesus
is done. Now it's up to that person that's clean,
now that their home is clean. Now they have to
occupy themselves with Holy Spirit God. That's on their end.
Most of the times people are in the flesh and
they're dealing with X y Z and they're calling it whatever.

(21:13):
But let's focus on the one who knows what we're
really going through. To focus on the one who can
save us, rescue us, give us a new life, give
us the light of Christ, which is a blazing light.
By the way, and that the demons see that, they
see the seal of Holy Spirit on us. There's no
way that you could be born again and be occupied

(21:33):
by a demon at the same time. You can't have
Holy Spirit living in you and a demon living in
you at the same time. You could be oppressed. You
could be suppressed, you could be deceived, you could be
distracted by demons, you could you know, all of that
could happen. But that demon cannot live inside of a
born again believer filled with the Holy ghosts. So none

(21:55):
of the ten times a believer is not possessed. A
believer is just dealing with the flesh.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Right.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Your focus determines your faith. Where your eyes go, your
life follows. So what truly matters? Jesus reveals this, and
do A'm running out of time, But Jesus reveals what
truly matters. So when you look at Jesus, you stop
being impressed by the temporary and you become angered to
the eternal. You start thinking eternally. Right, this is only

(22:25):
for a short time. Our lives are very short on
this earth. So whatever we do, well, that's making matter.
What really matters, love, grace, mercy, Jesus, salvation, kingdom. What
really matters eternal life. We're living here for a short time,
so do your best to offer or introduce others to
the Lord Jesus who offers eternal life. But the John,

(22:47):
I see you, God, bless you, my bro Another day
with my brothers and sisters, And how great our Lord
have blessed we have a blessed weekend. Yes, how great
it is, my bro, my friend.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Thank you so much. So.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Eternity isn't just your future. Eternity is your focus. When
you fix your eyes on Jesus, right, you have an
eternal mindset. When you fix your eyes on this world,
you have a temporal mindset. Jesus said in John fourteen
two and three that he is preparing a place for you.
We read that That means your life isn't random. It's

(23:24):
leading somewhere intentional. Our lives are intentional. When you're intentional
about our are your life and my life. Amen, We're
going to be intentional. We know where we're going. So
while we get into where we're going, Amen, we're going
to be who Christ calls us to be here on
this side of eternity, here and now. So I'm out
of time John chapter fourteen Versus two and three where

(23:47):
we camped out. Read the whole chapter, John chapter fourteen.
See what the Lord has for you today. Amen, I
hope you have a great weekend. A man, we're getting
close to the day where we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
But in the meantime, let's keep on keeping on and
keep the hope alive and focus on the Lord Jesus. Aymen,
don't drift away, because the doorway to eternity is living

(24:08):
in you and living in me. Right, thank you so
much for hanging out with me for this morning.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Devo.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
God bless you all, God keep you all, and remember
always that God is good.

Speaker 2 (24:18):

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say.
