(01:32):
where we're going. The steps of the righteous are ordered,
the Bible says, So we have a purpose, we have
a destiny. God has a perfect plan Amen, for our lives.
We are exactly where we need to be according to
God's purpose, will and plan. If we're in God's will,
if we're in the family of God, if we're in

(01:56):
the faith. Amen's second Corinthance shot four, verse number eighteen.

(03:01):
or the streets, or you get to go on platforms
like this, digital discipleship, digital media, or if you just
want to do that within your family. Either way, you
have an eternal destiny. Have that in your mind. Amen.
So that way, when things happen, when you're going through
things in your life, you know those things are only
temporary problems. The pain is only temporary. God's eternal plan

(03:25):
is supposed to be like Him, more like Him daily, Amen.
And He's building up things in our lives, including our character.
Like I said earlier, Amen, I'm producing more faith, perseverance, right, hope,
and compassion. It's amazing what God is doing. In our
lives right now. So let's pray first. After we pray,

(03:45):
we'll shut this out for like sixty seconds, and then
on the other side of those sixty seconds, we'll get
into Second Corinthians, chapter number four, verse number eighteen. You ready, Father,
in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your
powerful word, your love, your grace, mercy, your forgiveness. Thank you,
Lord God, that you see what we're going through and
you're with us while we're going through. I thank you,

(04:07):
Lord God for the purpose and plan that you have
already ordained in our lives. From the very start, you
already knew it was coming. Whatever that is, you knew it. Amen.
You're the God who knows. You're the God who is there.
You're the God who reveals. You're the God who restores, you,
the God who redeems. You're the God who saves. You're

(04:28):
the God who renews. You're the God of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob, and the God of Sam and the God
of Jawann, and the God of every single one of
your whosoevers who call upon your name. Now we have
the rights to be called children of God. Thank you,
Lord God for inviting us and adopting us and giving
us a new life, a born again experience. I pray

(04:48):
had your protection over myself, my wife, our children, our grandchildren,
our family members, from the very oldest to the very youngest,
and every single one in between. I pray the same
prayer daily over every single person that's connecting now that
will connect later. I pray Head you protection. I pray
peace be still over every single one of us in
Jesus Holy Name. I dispatch arkween angels, minister angels, warrant

(05:12):
angels to annihilate the tactics of the enemy. I come
against discouragement. I come against frustration. I come against resentment,
I come against anger. I come against alcoholism. I come
against addiction and the powerful name of Jesus. I thank you,
Lo God, that we could be free in Christ. We
could be free in You doing what you want us

(05:32):
to do, and we are willing to do it because
we know your love, We know your grace, we know
your mercy, we know your power, we know your word,
and we trust in you, Low God. So I pray,
Love God, that the Kingdom mindset of eternal destiny will
be the way we're going to be thinking from today
going forward. In Jesus Holy name. I pray Holy Spirit,
you would touch us, guide us and lead us. And

(05:54):
those who don't know you, Lo God, I pray you
will open their eyes today. And the powerful name of Jesus.
I pray this's by faith. Those who agree, we say,
Amen to the Amen. Let's go for it. Help me
share this out sixty seconds. When we come back, we'll
get right into today's Morning devot Eternal Destiny. I'll be
right back. And so many groups out there man that

(07:40):

Business Forum. Thank you so much for allowing me to

(08:23):
So I got an amen. From sister Joam brother man, well,
I see you. Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back
to the morning. Devo. My bro, my friend is good
to see you. So let's go for it. Let me
put this on the screen. For those who are listening,
you already know the reason why you're just listening. You
could be driving, walking, treadmill, working out, getting ready for work,
getting ready for school. Amen. Thank you for your listening. Ears.

(08:44):
But we're gonna read a word for word from what
we're seeing on the screen, so that way you won't
miss out on anything. Amen, Eternal destiny to day in
the morning devo. Let me get this on the screen
for those who are watching the live Amen, eternal destiny
A man. Of course, Christmas season with we're thinking about
gift giving, which is cool, Amen, but let's have an
eternal perspective of when we give something to someone. Amen.

(09:09):
Second Corinthing, chapter fourth, verse number eighteen says, so we
look not at the things which are seen, but at
the things which are unseen. That's spiritual, supernatural. For the
things which are visible are temporal, just brief and fleeting,

(09:31):
But the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.
In other words, there's something more to life than what
we are currently seeing with our physical eyes. Right now,
there's actually spiritual warfare going on right in the spiritual realm.

(09:52):
Right now. There are principalities. There are powers and authority
that want to come against our dreams, want to come
against our belief, want to come against our faith, want
to come against our family. But we have a God
that we serve, that we love, that will dispatch ark

(10:13):
ween angels to annihilate those tactics. The enemy is already defeated,
but he's still our enemy. The enemy is already defeated,
but he's still our foe. He still has power, he
still tries to kill, steal, and destroy it. But we
look at things which we see and in a moment
when I get into the notes, I'm gonna say something

(10:36):
that probably you know, but it needs to be said.
And we need to remind ourselves of how the world
thinks and of how we should be thinking as the
Kingdom of God. Amen, it's spiritual. Man Well says, absolutely,
this is not just it. Some people think that this
is it, this is all. Some people even think this

(10:57):
is not even real. Some people think this is a
dream and usion that life is just a dream. But
according to the scriptures, one of the greatest spiritual things
that we could do right is realize that this world
is not our final home. This world is not the

(11:18):
final destination. Right this world, the Bible is clear. The
Bible says, when you're born again, when you're a child
of God, you are in this world, but you're not
of this world. You are taken out of the kingdom
of darkness and brought into God's marvelous light. In the
loving light of Christ. We're brought into Christ Jesus. Amen.

(11:44):
Our purpose, our plan, and our purpose changes when we
get into a personal relationship with the one who can
change us. Right. The beautiful thing about the Lord is
that he knows who we are more than we know

(12:05):
who we are, and our identity is found in him
when we believe and trust and put our faith in him. Amen.
Bless his brother, Frank, I see you, God, bless you. Yes,
Amen to that. Thank you, Brother Frank, my brother and
my friend for coming through. So everything we touch, everything

(12:25):
we could buy, everything we could build, anything in life
that we achieve right has an expiration date. Haven't you noticed, Amen,
Everything that's in my studio right now has an expiration date.
It might be like, well, it's all equipment, well, sooner
or later, right. I always tell people when you have
a laptop, when you have a computer, desktop, right or iMac,

(12:47):
whatever you have, eventually it's going to crash. It's not
if it's going to crash, it's when we don't know when.
Hopefully I'll have this equipment for much longer, but eventually
it's going to expire. But the Carlos, I see you, bro,
God bless you. It's good to see on them Morning Devo.
So everything in this life has an expiration date, but

(13:12):
everything God does or everything that God gives, last forever.
And this is the eternal perspective. This is the eternal destiny.
I know we're in a season where some people are
stressed out because they don't have enough according to the
world's standard, according to pressure and life, according to what

(13:35):
they want to do. And when they look at their
bank account, when you look at their refrigerator, when they
look at their friends, when they look at their social media,
when they look at everything that's temporal and rely on
those things or make decisions based upon those things, or
identify according to those things. So many people, even those
who call themselves Christians. I see that they look at
social media and if they don't get likes and they

(13:58):
don't get follows and stuff like that, they get discouraged
because they're looking at that as some kind of value
in their lives, which is very, very superficial. We have
a foundation in Christ. Amen, we have the Lord that's
with us and working in us by way of his
Holy Spirit. So we got everything we need. Everything else
is just external. Amen, since the joy us, I see you,

(14:20):
Good morning, God, bless you. Welcome back to the morning. Devo.
My system, my friends get to see you. So what
we just read is Second Corinthian chapter four eighteen. It
says it very clearly, but what is seen it's temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal. I mean the problem

(14:42):
is that we live in a world, a society, a
culture that's obsessed with what's visible, obsessed with visible success.
Like literally people you ever pass somebody and they look
at you up and down. They want to see what
kind of sneakers you have, what kind of shirt you have?

(15:03):
You know what I mean? They want to figure out, hey,
did he get that from Timu or did he get
that from Amazon or whatever? I wear stuff that I like.
I don't care about name brands and all that stuff.
I don't want to try to keep up with the
latest fashion of latest trends. You know why, because everybody
else is trying to keep up with it. And then

(15:24):
that means if I get a pair of the new
Knights that cost like five hundred dollars, you know, all
you gotta get from that is, oh, those adulte or
those are nice, and you keep on walking. That's it.
Some people thrive off of that. They want to be
seen to look successful. They want to be seen to
look like they have influence on money or fame or stardom. Amen,

(15:47):
But that's all superficial. I don't think God saved us
to be superficial. God saved us to be the original
person that He created us to be. Right, use your
creativity a man. Be confident in what you where all right,
You're confident in how you present yourself a man, because
we're ultimately presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice to the Lord,

(16:09):
not as something that society is going to judge based
on what we have, on how much money we have
in the bank, and what kind of car we drive,
and that's all superficial a man. The world system is
obsessed with that stuff a man. But Manuel says, people
look for worldly approval and acceptance. Yeh, for sure. People

(16:29):
exalt themselves. Yes, for the manuell tell the truth right
and shame the devil. Visible success, visible status. This is
what the world is obsessed with, visible comfort, and social
media is riddled with that makes it look like you
ever see these videos and these reels and these posts

(16:52):
of people going to this place and that place, It
looks so happy. Amen, And they're empty men. Their lives
are literally not real. They're not in reality. There's some
kind of post social media generation, whatever you want to
call it. Amen, And the world is obsessed with that.

(17:13):
So be careful if that's you, you know, let's pray together.
A man, reach out to somebody and say, listen, I'm
addicted to posting a lifestyle that I'm not even living.
A man, Tell the truth, and God will free you
from the shackles of what the world is trying to
do in your life, visible approval, social media. Right. I'm

(17:34):
a talking head myself right right now. And although things
are not perfect in the studio, things are not perfect
on my live stream, things are not perfect my face. Amen,
it doesn't bother me, you know why, because this is
not for me to look a certain way. This is

(17:54):
for me, Amen, to worship God through a morning devotion,
the Word, experience, Holy Spirit, God move a man, and
watch us come together and move as well accordingly. And
that's more powerful than a social media post of me
in a studio with hundreds of people, or with fancy

(18:15):
lights and sound systems and fancy mics in front of me.
And that's all superficial stuff. When you get older in Christ,
more mature in Christ, you start realizing none of that matters.
All that stuff is temporal. Or we have an eternal perspective.
We know where we're going a man, But in the meantime,
we're gonna be fishers of men. We're gonna be so
in seas of eternal life. Everywhere we go, we're gonna

(18:37):
be evangelized and preaching the gospel, loving people right, forgiving people,
and worshiping our Lord who loved us first. People worship
other people rather than God. Wow for the man, Well, yes,
it's so true, Brother Franks said. It costs you five
hundred dollars for someone to tell you nice nights Yep,
it's literally that way. And shout out to everybody who

(19:00):
has that type of money to just spend to look,
you know, like somebody else, or to help out somebody
else's dream, or to invest in a corporation like Nike
or any other fashion out there that's popular. Pashut out
to you. If you have it, go ahead and do it, Amen.
But I don't think God is impressed. Well I know

(19:21):
God's not impressed. But if that helps you feel a
certain way, go ahead to do it. But don't keep
that as a way of identifying with the culture, because
culture is so superficial, fake, it's phony. Amen. In the transformation, yes,
brother man, well it's better. And then external looks. But

(19:41):
God calls us to fix our eyes on the unseen.
Isn't that incredible that the world is looking at the
external the things that are seen? Amen, Fashion, social media, cars, status,
all kinds of stuff. And unfortunately some believers latch onto

(20:03):
that and say I better get with it. They have
the fear of missing out right now. They want to
be a part of that type of life. Amen. And
it's so superficial. And if we're not careful, Even if
I'm not careful, I could get into that myself and
be like, well, I gotta follow the joneses. I gotta
look like the other ministry. I gotta act like this

(20:24):
pastor or this evangelist. I have to do what they
do or else nobody's gonna like me. Nobody's gonna follow me.
You know. It could be a temptation, right, But God
wants us to look at the unseen because the unseen
is more real than what scene think about it. We
are real people, we do have a real life. But

(20:47):
God is not looking at our homes. God's not looking
at our cars. God's not looking at our bank account
and say, wow, if you have little, that means you
have little faith. If you have a lot, that means
you have a lot of faith. That's not the way
it is. Money and material things mean nothing to God,
Yes Manuel, Amen, and people who are living that way
are living in pride. Man weell's on fire, Yes, sir.

(21:11):
But God calls us to fix our eyes on the
unseen because what we see is not as real as
what is unseen. The material world is fading, but the
spiritual world, Amen, is permanent. The spiritual world is there
all the time and will be there all the time,

(21:31):
because God is spirit amen, and we need to worship
God in spirit and truth. So therefore those things that
we can't see and we devoted to God amen is
called faith in Jesus. We know that those things are eternal,
and the things that we're looking at now, the things
that some people are chasing after right now, is only temporary.
As a matter of fact, even this body that we're

(21:54):
living in, this earthly body, has an expiration date. Isn't
that something God is looking at our hearty brother man, Well,
God is looking at our heart. So Earth is the preparation.
Earth is training ground a man for what's coming in eternity.
Because earth is preparation, that means eternity is the destination.

(22:15):
So listen closely. This is where we could take the
scripture and use it to encourage our lives right now,
our current situation. Your struggles won't last, but your soul will.
Think about it, Our soul will live forever. The struggles
you currently in and I'm comingly in, won't last. Your pain,

(22:41):
whether it's physically, emotionally or spiritually. Your pain won't last,
but your promise will. The promises of God will last.
The promises of God will come to pass trust in him.
Your pain will never outweigh God's promise. Crazy. As a
matter of fact, God would use your pain to provoke

(23:04):
us to look at God's promise about this. Your body
won't last, and I just said that a moment ago.
This body, this earthly body, has an expiration date. But
my spirit and your spirit will last forever, will live forever.
Isn't this amazing? Everything you go through is shaping you

(23:25):
and me for what will never end. Man, everything that's
right now is training ground or is it's telling us
by way of the word of God that there's more
to it than what we're currently going through right now.
I mean that should be exciting to somebody right now.

(23:46):
They'll be like, what this temporary pain and this thing
that I'm going through It's only temporary. Yes, according to
the scriptures, those things are temporary. But God's promise, God's will,
God's plan. Amen, God, your spirit, your soul will last forever.
It's more important. Manuel says, out of the abundance of
the man's heart, the issue of his life flow. Yep,

(24:09):
you could tell a lot about what's in somebody's heart,
about what comes out of their mouth. Aymen, see so
much time I have here. I have like a minute left.
But the Billy, I see you, man, good morning, God blessed.
Top of the morning. Is freezing outside. I'll be out
there in a little bit. Hey man, God bless you.
Bro good to see you. Everything that we see man

(24:30):
Will says it's temporary. So this temporary world tests our focus. Right.
Are you building your life on things that can break?
That's a good question. Don't build your life on things
that could break? Are you leading? Leading on people who
may walk away because you know how it is. It
was all good a week ago, right with the people

(24:53):
who didn't know you were born again, to the people
who didn't know you were in church. Now to the
people who thought you still smoked drake and you did
all that. Now they figured it out. Oh wow, this
person has changed. Sam changed, man, well changed, Billy changed
your wan changed? Amen, since the joy's changed, all these
callers changed, and now it's a ghost town. People will

(25:15):
leave you when they find out that you're in your purpose,
that God's will is in your life. Some of them
are like that. Some of them are drawn to it
and they want to know more. But a lot of
people leave. Are you chasing goals that won't matter one
hundred years from now. Ooh, that's a good one. So
we're gonna leave it right there. Amen. We'll pick this
up another time, Lord willing. But listen Second Corinthians, Where

(25:39):
Were We? Chapter four, verse number eighteen. Read it for yourself,
and then take the time to read Second Corinthians, Chapter four,
the whole chapter, and see what the Lord will do
in your life according to his scripture. Amen. Manuel says
it helps us train, educate, and develop our spirit. Man. Yes, Amen,
invest more are the spiritual. That's what basically what the

(25:59):
Word is telling me according to the Holy Spirit. Amen. Yes,
we're going to be part of what's good in this
world in the temporary time. But our investment are in heaven.
We got treasures in heaven. Don't try to hoard these
treasures here on earth. Amen. If you do have a
way or means of treasure on earth, make sure you're

(26:21):
sharing that out. Take care of your family of course first,
and then share out the rest. Why, because we're not
going to take night with us. We're leaving inhabitance behind. Amen.
It's good to build some things so that way you
could leave in inheeritance to your children and your children's children. Amen.
But don't idolize the now, money, or the status or whatever,
because those things are temporary. Merry Christmas, God bless you all,

(26:45):
God keep you all, and remember always that God is
good these

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
