Speaker 1 (00:02):
Morning Family, Good morning, God, bless you. Welcome back to
the Morning Devo. It's your brother Sam Lopez aka DJ
sam Brock. So Win is with a z do RG
live that so Win is with a z dot org
streaming on social media platforms that allow the stream to
go through. And we're here once again for a new session.
It's a new day, Amen, So yesterday is gone. Having
(00:23):
noticed that every day is a new day, and God's
mercies are new every day. So therefore the birds are
chirping right outside. Whether or not we're having a good
start or bad start, the birds outside still chirp. They
still do their thing because they know that mercies are
new every day. Amen. So how much more should we
know that truth from the Lord? Amen? Today we're talking
(00:45):
about false followers false followers. False followers are people who
appear to follow Christ it seems like they do. Thank
you God, the Bible and Prayers for sharing this. Thank
you for sharing on your group. Also, thank you podcast
World for sharing this on your group while getting a
(01:05):
lot Kingdom Believers Network, thank you so much for sharing
this to your group as well. False followers are people
who appear to follow Christ's outwardly, but inwally have no
true faith or love for God out good morning, right,
We're going to be your first John Chapter two, verse
number nineteen. And the reason why I brought this up
(01:27):
is because I see it a lot, especially on social media,
and the people that appear to be true followers of Christ,
which are actually false followers. They have a lot of followers,
and that grees me, and I'm sure it agrees the
heart of the Lord as well, because they're going into
a direction that's not really true, that's not authentic, that's
(01:49):
not really Christ's like, but their appearance is there. So therefore,
since the appearance is there and it's appealing and attracting
people's flesh, they have a lot of followers, tremendous amount followers.
Actually know some people who only invite people to their
church events based on their followers on Instagram and on
(02:10):
social media. How dangerous is that, right, because gimmicks are
out there, and people who study psychology know how to
manipulate and know how to get followers and know how
to get likes and responses due to the behavior patterns
of people. Or you could just be pressing those those
(02:31):
pain points they call it in marketing, right, just present
the pain points and then tell people that you have
the solution. And we know the solution to our problems.
We know our solution to our sins. We know the
solution to our pain is the Lord Jesus Christ. Even
(02:53):
that a man, we're going to experience things that we're
going to know who's true or who's false. We're going
to know for sure through our own experience with the Lord,
whether or not we're real or we're just faking it
till we make it Amen. So that's why I brought
this up first, John chapter two, verse number nineteen. If
you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, or anything
(03:15):
along those lines, please don't hesitate to leave it on
a live chat. It's also a live chat that someone
is with a za org on a live stream tab
right under the video and right there there's a live chat,
and also there's an audio a man audio only or
you gotta do is press play at Celebrate a Network.
If you haven't gotten the apps yet, what are you
(03:35):
waiting for? They're available for the Android and for the
iOS a man go to the app store. The name
of the app is say Love Radio Network the same
way we spell it on the website. Amen. So let's
go forward. Let's pray first. After we pray, we'll shut
us out for like sixty seconds, and on the other
side of those sixty seconds, we'll get ran into today's
morning devo, which I titled false Followers. Amen. And this
(03:57):
is not saying that everybody's gonna watch it's gonna be
a false follower. Amen. I know people are saying you're
a false follower yourself. And then I can hear it.
I can hear social media. Social media is dangerous. Social
media is not friendly sometimes, especially if you go against
the grain on social media, forget it, you're the target.
But let's take this into prayer and allow God to
(04:18):
speak to our hearts, allow God to speak to our minds. Amen.
And so that way you could change our lives and
continue to transform us into the image of His son.
Thank you, Lord Jesus. Today, we thank you, Lo God
for today, We thank you for right now. I thank
you Lo God, that your mercies are new and your
grace is always there for us right. Your love is
(04:39):
outstanding and amazing, and you are God. I pray Low God,
that you will continue to transform our lives, guide, guard
and protect us. By way of your Holy Spirit, lead
us into all truth like your word says, and that
you're the comforter, you're a helper, and we could live
a victorious life based on the life that you lived.
And we're following after you, holding onto your promises, holding
(05:02):
onto your word, and we're being authentic imitators of who
you are. Lord Jesus, Thank you for the empowerment and
for the gift of faith. Thank you, Lord God for
the empowerment of Holy Spirit, God who lives within us
all those whosoevers who called on your name to be saved.
Thank you, Lord God for saving us from the wrath
of God and taking us from the darkness into your
(05:23):
marvelous light. So I speak peace, I speak life, I
speak freedom. In the name of Jesus, I set and
dispatch fourth arkmen, angels, ministry and angels, warning angels to
annihilate the tactics of the enemy over my life, with
my wife's life, or our children, our grandchildren, our family,
family members from the very oldest to the very youngest,
and every single person in between. And I prayed that
(05:44):
same prayer of peace, protection guidance over every single person
that's watching and listening now in the powerful name of Jesus,
and thank you, Lord God, that we don't have to
go and live in darkness, and that we don't have
to be sworn to secrecy on the way of living
a double life. That we could live a righteous life,
a holy life, and be on one path, on one
(06:05):
faith or one love, one grace, one mercy, a male
at a time every day, because Lord Jesus, you have
saved us, and you offer forgiveness, and you offer eternal
life to anyone who acts in Jesus name. My prayer
is by faith, and those who agree with say amen
to the amen. Thank you so much for agreeing with
the prayer and listening. I'll be right back sixty seconds.
(06:27):
Help me share this out. When we come back, we'll
get right to our scripture. I'll be right back, man.
(07:46):
Thank you so much for helping me shut us out,
and you can shut us out anytime, whether I'm live
or not a man. The whole point of sharing is
to get this gospel message this morning devo out to
as many people as possible, because I don't know about tomorrow.
Do you know about tomorrow? Tomorrow's not promise to Day's
a day of salvation. So if you love people, Amen,
you would share the love of Christ to as many
(08:06):
people as possible. Thank you for sharing. Amen. So let's
go for it. Let's get into this word for our
morning devo. Amen, because I'm like that normally you wouldn't.
You know that God is doing something in our heart.
You know that God is moving according to his will
and purpose for the community, for his sake, for the
(08:27):
Gospel's sake. Jesus said, I wish none would perish, but
everyone have eternal life. So the grace of God is
allowing us to repent, allowing people who have not repented
yet to repent a man. That's the mercy, that's the grace,
the patience of God, all of it. A lot of
people might be thinking, why does God allow X y
Z to happen? If God is a good God, why
(08:50):
does he allow so much evil in the world. Well,
I like to flip that question. Why does He allow
evil in us? Amen? And keep us alive? It's the
great God is an amazing grace, And sometimes I struggle
with it too. I'm like God, like, those people are
mocking you. They're torturing people, they're doing evil things to children,
(09:12):
they're trafficking people. You know, are you going to do
anything about it? You know, sometimes I think that way,
but then I have to realize and I already know
that God is a god of grace, and that's the
amazing grace that we see. Even though it might seem
like he's not doing anything that's not working, He's not
working things for good, for the good for those who
love him. He is, Amen. It's just that we can't
(09:35):
see as far as the Lord sees, God sees the
beginning from the end, or we see things on a
day to day. We only know about our past. We
don't know too much about our future. Amen. But we
know what we have right now. We have the gift
of God's grace, and that's what I settled in my heart.
And I know that sometimes challenge challenge that grace because
(09:58):
I'm like, but look at all of what's happening out here,
And then I'm humbled by the simple fact that lookals
all that was happening inside my own heart, and yet
God allowed me to live another day as well. So
it's the grace of God, ladies and gentlemen, that's so
amazing that we just don't get a grasp of it.
I don't get a grasp of it sometimes a man,
(10:20):
when I see things happening all over the world. So
let's go for it. Let's see what the Lord has
for us today. Amen, false followers. And then I just
picked a pick of somebody social media influencer. Amen. Probably
this person is not what I figured. You know, the
way this person looks. It's like seducing and all that,
(10:40):
because it attracts people. A man, it attracts people to
their platforms, and a lot of them are using the
name of Jesus and the name of Jesus Christ the
Church of Christ. Amen, to lure people into their platforms,
and they're not even real followers. It's dangerous on these platforms.
Let's be aware of that. First John, chapter two, verse
(11:02):
number nineteen, the Bible says they went out from us,
seeming at first to be Christians, to see that, but
they were not really of us, because they were not
truly born again and spiritually transformed. For if there had
been of us, they would have remained with us. But
(11:25):
they went out teaching false doctrine, so that it would
be clearly shown that none of them are of us. Now,
if I heard this scripture being used in churches. I've
heard this being preached on TV from some popular preachers
that say that they're using the scripture to say that
when people leave their church, they were not really one
(11:50):
of us, and that's a shame. That's not what this
scripture is talking about. The scripture is not talking about
and this person left my church, so therefore they're not
really true followers. They're not one of us, know when
God said they went out from us when he inspired
John to write this, seeming at first to be Christians,
but they were not really of us because why they
(12:12):
were not truly born again and spiritually transformed. And we
could see that. You know, the evidence the fruit will
reveal who people really are. Amen. At least ya, God
bless you. Amen. Yeah, it is sad. God bless you.
Good morning, my sister, my friend, Thank you for coming
to the morning devo. But it's a reality, Amen. And
(12:33):
too often you see it and just like me, I
don't know what bothers a lot of other people. Amen.
But also at the same time, it keeps me humble,
It keeps me on working out my own salvation with
fear and trembling. Right, I always tell people, and this
is something that this is my personal conviction or my
personal belief. I believe that I'm one bad decision away
(12:59):
of messing up everything up. That's why I stay hidden
in the Word. Amen. I stay under the Word of
God because if I stay outside of the Word of
God for too long, Amen, I could cause harm to
myself and to others. So it's a humbling experience for me. Amen.
What about you. Thank you for the blessing for the morning. Amen.
(13:23):
My sister t Leistia is in Talisha or to Lesham.
I saying your name right, and I'm known for butchering names. Amen.
You met personally, but I just don't want to butcher
the name, so correct me if I'm wrong. So that's
that's what we have, Amen. And because of what we have,
(13:43):
we can live and go by what we know the
Lord is saying, or we go by how Holy Spirit
is leading any other way, although it might scene right,
but we know the scripture. What seems right to men
actually leads men to destruction. That's why it's important to
(14:04):
know the Word of God, know the voice of the Lord, Amen,
and hear his voice and the stranger's voice. We will
no longer follow Good morning, Sister joy and I see you.
Good morning. God, blessed to you, my sister, my friend. Amen,
and in his presence and allow to guide all of
him one of me. Amen. Amen, thank you so much
for that comment. Let me get to my notes because
(14:26):
I had something that just crossed my mind. But police
spirits saying get to your notes because I didn't tell
you to say that. So false followers. We see them
all the time, unfortunately, but a lot of people don't
say anything. Amen. A lot of people are silent about
it because if you're like me, I don't like to
hurt nobody. I don't like to disrespect. I don't like
(14:47):
to hurt nobody. But it comes a time where you
see a lot of people with a lot of followers. Amen,
and sometimes it's time for you to step in those
platforms and just warn people a man and been like, listen,
I don't think this is the true doctrine of the
Lord Jesus Christ. I don't think that this is lining
(15:08):
up with the scripture. So we warn people in love
and in kindness. And if the leader of the pack,
or the influencer, or the online expert or the online
preacher or somebody that does what I do, is preaching
a false gospel. It's okay for somebody to push back
on that as Actually that shows love is when you
present the truth to somebody, you're actually presenting the fact
(15:29):
that you love somebody. Amen. And it's not a truth.
Is the truth the gospel truth? Amen. So it just says,
what's the difference between a false follower and somebody who
God is in the midst of transforming and men, I
believe the difference is this, when you see somebody being
transformed and you know the person personally, you actually know
(15:52):
that there's someone working in their life. And sometimes like
a person who doesn't believe in God, who would see
a transformed person that believes in Christ. Now they look
at that really like they're curious about how did that happen? Amen?
And they know that they're in the beginning stages. When
I was in the beginning stages, forget you could you couldn't.
(16:12):
You couldn't probably tell that I was born again yet
because I was really arrogant. Now I knew the truth,
I wanted everybody to follow Jesus no matter what. A man.
I had the truth, but no love in there. So
I was just growing. I was in the beginning stages
of my faith. But it wasn't that I was a
false follower. It's just that I was a believer of
(16:33):
new believer, full of zeal and wanting to help others
find this truth that the Lord revealed to me. Amen.
So I think the difference between false followers and somebody
who God is in the midst of transforming is that
a false follower says they're already following Christ. That's number one.
They said they're already believing, they're already born again. And
(16:55):
the catchphrase they uses that God told them to tell
you X y Z. But a new believer, Amen, that's
being transformed is evident to the people who really know
that person that they are being transformed. Amen. Amen. What
if you don't If I don't what, I'm sorry I missed.
(17:15):
Oh you said we need to know them? Oh yeah, No.
If you don't know somebody, Amen, and you're a believer
and you have the discernment of Holy Spirit in you,
you get to know pretty much where they are. You
could ask questions, hey, how long you've been saved, how
long you've been serving the Lord? And if they say, oh,
two weeks, and then you look at their Instagram. They
got two million followers and they're preaching the gospel. That's
(17:37):
a little dangerous because the Bible says that we shouldn't
put a novice in ministry. In other words, if I
was running into ministry as soon as I got saved,
like two weeks after I'm saving, I'm running a ministry.
There's going to be a lot of follow ups. Amen.
There's gonna be a lot of mishaps and mistakes. But
it's okay. That's what the grace of God is all about.
That's why we need to be in communities that follow
(18:01):
the lead of the Holy Spirit, that believe in Jesus crucified,
died and rose again from the grave. Amen. We believe
that we can do what God acts of us to
do because the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Amen. And
we would know them by their fruits. Amen. So this
just says, now, how do you tell the difference between
a Holy Spirit and your emotions towards that person. Amen.
(18:23):
That's a good question. The Holy Spirit is the lead.
So if you're being led by your flesh, you'll get
the results of the flesh. If being led by the Spirit,
you'll get the results of life. The Bible says that
the flesh leads to death and destruction, and the Bible
says Holy Spirit leads to all truth. Right, that's how
you could tell if somebody is in error, Amen, And
(18:43):
the fruit of the error is showing up by means
of followers, by means of lights, by means of emojis
all over. Amen. You can discern that. Said, where's it
coming from? What's the topic? There's some topics out there
that I won't speak about on these platforms, but on
the Adult Bible Study, I bring them up a lot. Amen.
(19:04):
There's certain topics that people go on YouTube and talk
about testimonial things that attract a lot of views and
a lot of clicks, a lot of likes, and a
lot of listeners and a lot of viewers based on
those topics. But that doesn't mean that they're truly being transformed.
It just probably means that they're following the algorithm to
(19:24):
get clicks and likes and followers and views. Amen, if
that makes any sense. So, when I'm talking about false
followers and basically talking about what they're doing on platforms
like social media platforms, YouTube pages and things like that,
although I might not know them, personally, but you can
see the result of what they're saying and what they're
(19:45):
saying if it's outside of the scripture. Amen, we shouldn't.
We should be very very careful. Amen. Yeah. May God
have mercy on them? Yes, of course, God is always merciful.
And we could be praying because I'm I bump into
some people that I personally know that we're going in
one direction and now they're going in a totally different
(20:05):
direction because they're basing it on likes, followers, views, and clicks,
and because of that, revenue is coming into their bank accounts.
So the temptation is master, just stay right here and man,
this is working. And it might be something that God
has not told them to do. It might be they're
not praying about what they should be doing, or it
(20:27):
just might be, you know, they're being led by the
flesh not by the spirit. False followers are people who
appear to follow Christ outwardly, but inwardly they have no
true faith or love for God at all. They speak
Christian words, they attank Christian gatherings right, and even perform
religious acts, but their motives are self centered and you
(20:48):
can see that right away. You can see if people
want personal praise, or if they're praising the Lord, Amen,
and they want people to praise God. You can see
if they need personal praise. Like I've seen ministers in
song wanting XYZ, demanding XYZ before they get to the venue. Okay,
you'll be like, Okay, maybe that's a little boogie, but
(21:11):
we can handle that. Then went again on the platform
to do a microphone check or a musician check. Amen.
You could see their demeanor is like listen, I want
all cameras facing on me, I want the mic this way,
this stuff, and it kind of like throws you off
a little bit because you don't see humility, you don't
see love, right, start seeing pride and arrogance. And that's
(21:32):
a red flag. Amen. A reflag means that if it's
all about me, if I get on these morney DeVos
and say, you know, if you do x y Z
and you follow me, you follow again on my platform,
and if you do what I tell you, and if
if you sow into this ministry and you'll get x
y Z, that's a red flag, Amen, because it's self centered,
is not Christ centered? Amen, God gets all the glory.
(21:55):
That was how the enemy was Amen. Yes, he was
taking the glory from God. Super dangerous. Yeah, anyone who
tries to put themselves in a place of God, or
anyone who wants to receive the glory that God has received,
a man is going to be like in a devilish mindset.
Lucifer right saw the praises and in the glory that
(22:16):
the Lord was getting and the worship people is getting.
And the Bible says that pride, envy, jealousy entered into
the heart of Lucifer. Amen, and he wanted that. So, yes,
we need to be careful. Thank you, my sister for
the comments. So people speak Christian words. Christianess is the thing, Amen,
People know the catchphrases, they know what to say. Amen.
(22:38):
I've seen people a man in communities scream out hallelujahs
to something the preacher said that didn't make any sense,
and because I think it's just like an impulse hallelujah
like and nothing was being said, and I'll be looking
around like what just happened? But like I said, my
personality doesn't allow me to get into people's face. What
(23:01):
are you doing this that my personality doesn't allow it?
But I know people whose personality is like now, we're
gotta correct this. We're gonna go in there now, we're
gonna you know what I mean. So be mindful of
people's personalities as well. That plays a big part, a
big part in the way they're presenting the gospel. Right
Matthew seven twenty one to twenty three, Jesus said, not
(23:23):
everyone who says to me, Lord Lord shall answer the
Kingdom of God. So therefore, if people are acting the
part they're speaking, talking to talk, but not walking the walk,
that they're actually false followers, not true followers. And Jesus
sees that. Amen. So although they might be grabbing a
(23:43):
crowd and bringing them to places where the Lord doesn't
want them to go, a man, they'll be held. They'll
be held accountable to that, and men no worries about that.
That's why I always called the scripture, do not be deceived.
God is not mocked, but you sow your reap, which
reap is so amen. False followers could corrupt others and
(24:05):
make them false followers. The followers of a follower who's
in false doctrines could make them followers. Like you know,
we're here to make disciples, right, We're commissioned to go
and preach the gospel, baptizing people in the name of
the Father's Son and the Holy Ghost. Right, and we're
here to make disciples. So we're making disciples based on
(24:25):
the scriptures. We're on the right path. But if you're
making disciples based on false doctrines, false belief systems, gimmicks, platforms, systems,
then you're going to be held accountable. Or I will
be held accountable if I get up here and start
preaching some crazy doctrine. Amen. Yeah to this, just said.
Wrong teaching leads to wrong believers. Ooh, that's a good one.
(24:48):
I'm gonna steal that a man. Sister Joys, good morning, God,
bless you. Thank you for blessing the group in Jesus name,
my sister, my friend. Thank you for showing up. So
false followers correct others by spreading lies or distorted teachings
like it sounds good, Like I said earlier, they know
what to say, but the teachings are in error. Jude
(25:10):
one and four says for certain individuals pervert the grace
of our God into a license for immorality. I'm gonna
leave it right there. Amen, we'll get into this next time.
But thank you so much. I'm running out of time here,
but go to our scripture first John two nineteen review that.
But I also suggest that you go to first John
chapter too and read the whole chapter for yourself to
(25:32):
make sure that we're keeping this in context. Amen. Thank
you so much for hanging out with me, Amen, and
with the group. Thank you for showing up. I hope
you were blessed. I hope you have a blessed day. Amen.
And I hope you follow the Lord truthfully in your heart.
And if there's arias in life that you're not sure
if you're really following the Lord, Amen, just go to
(25:52):
God right now and ask him to help you in
your unbelief or to help you in your error, help
you out of the darkness. And He will do that
because the God that we serve as a forgiving God,
a loving God, a holy God of righteous God, and
a saving God through the Lord Jesus Christ. So I'm
out of here. Thank you so much for hanging out
with us and with me. God bless you all. God
(26:13):
keep you all, and remember always that God God is good. Peace,
