Speaker 1 (00:05):
I want a family. Good morning, God bless you. Welcome
back to the Morning Devo. It's your bro Sam Lopez
aka DJ Sambrock. So Win is with a z dot
org live that so Win is with a z dot
org streaming on our YouTube channel, which is simply called
DJ sam Rock. Try to make everything simple and makes sense. Amen.
So today's Friday, and we usually get into Authentic Imitationology,

(00:27):
the podcast that we get into every Friday for the
past one hundred and twenty eight times or so. But
I had this prepared already, and the other day I
woke up late. I literally dreamt that I was up
in the studio literal honestly, I dreamt that I was
already up, and then when I really woke up outside
of the dream, it was like an hour later than

(00:49):
the podcast. So my apologies for that. So I figured,
let me just get this done. Amen. It was there.
God gave it to me. Amen. And I don't want
to skip a beat. I don't want to skip with
God is doing. Amen. So this one's called self reliance.
Self reliance, this is probably one of the hardest areas
that we deal with in life. We're trying to do

(01:11):
everything on our own sometimes, right, we naturally want to
handle things ourselves. When anything happens, we usually want to
do and figure out and do things ourselves. I don't know.
Maybe it's just me, right, Maybe let me just talk
to myself. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I
can be just relying on my own ability. And I

(01:34):
have a God who I love, who loves me, who
I serve, who is all matchless, all powerless. Amen. Powerful.
Excuse me, I'm powerless. Amen. God is powerful, I should
say Amen. So let me not get too excited. So
this is probably sister Joanne, I see you, good morning, God,
bless you. Welcome to the one of Eve with my sister,

(01:56):
my friend. So let me just read this because I
get it too excited, already messed up words. It says
this is probably one of the hardest areas because we
naturally want to handle things ourselves. But drastic prayer, We've
been talking about prayers that are drastic. Drastic prayer means
admitting weakness so God's strength can take over. Admitting that

(02:18):
I'm weak allows God to take over. Amen. It's called humility.
It's called humbling myself. Amen. So self reliance really doesn't
line up with God's will and purpose over your life
and over my life if you look at it biblically,
James chapter four, verse number ten and John fifteen and
five have two scriptures today, Amen, because they go hand

(02:39):
in hand. And I know self reliance is a is
a thing. It's a topic that we should be covering.
Amen on these morning DeVos. Brother Robbie Newball and Robert
Diaz got blessing. Man, it's good to see on the
Morning Devo. And thank you so much for you know,
respectfully compensating on yesterday's live stream that was posted by

(02:59):
Brother rec Johnson. So Amen, I shared it because I
just wanted to know and prove for myself that we
really could have conversations, difficult conversation, difficult conversations and be
respectful towards one another's others as brothers in Christ and
sisters in Christ. Amen. And for the most part, I
think we showed and proved that God is in control, Amen.

(03:22):
And we can't be self relying even on those conversations either,
So thank you so much for that. Amen. It takes
maturity right for us to get into some conversations that
are really really hard and touchy and their passionate conversations
so the world could see that we are really trying
our best to stay united, to be biblically minded, amen,

(03:47):
and kingdom minded. So thank you so much. So let's
go for it. If you have any questions, comments, concerns,
prayer requests, or anything along those lines, don't hesitate to
leave it on the live chat. That's what we're here for, amen.
And we're gonna be in two scriptures James Ford said,
and John fifteen and five, so you could get ahead
and check those out for yourself. We're gonna pray first.

(04:08):
After we pray, you know, the drill, we'll get this started. Amen.
Thank sure, everything's good on this side, and we'll get
to started, and we'll really rely on what God is doing, Amen,
and our hearts in our minds, God strengthened us because
we need strength. We need the authority that you have
given us to be evident in our hearts, in our
minds and our lives and our moves, amen, and our

(04:31):
responsibilities and in our actions amen, all of it. Amen,
You're this is you're welcome. Thank you of course, yes, man,
it was hard, like it was hard for me. It
was hard. I think it was hard for all of
us just to think this thing out. Man, and my
brother reached Johnson. That's what he does, man, he wants
us to all think this out. He's passionate about what

(04:53):
he says. Amen. And sometimes, in our passion right, we
say things before we think it out. Guilty of that.
At least I can speak for myself. But we can't
be self reliant. We have to rely on the Lord's Spirit,
God Almighty, his sovereign. He's in control, he knows everything
before we even get to know anything. Amen. And he's trustworthy.

(05:15):
He's trustworthy a man. So, Father, I thank you for today,
thank you for this moment in time that we could
take out some time and get together into these morning devotions,
into your word, into prayer, into just loving one another,
building each other up. I thank you, Lord God, for
that power, that authority, that privilege to be in the

(05:35):
Kingdom of God, and to have the mindset of the
Kingdom of God, and to know that you are in
us and you're working for us, and you're working through us.
I pray Love God, I Mighty had your protection. Lord God.
We're in a time that is perilous. We're in a
time that truth is called hatred. We're in a time
where people who are doing wrong is being elevated to

(05:56):
something that's being done right. Evil is good according to
how people's mindset is. Some people say there is no evil.
Some people there say there's no good, or ultimately love God,
or we need you to guide God and protect us.
Ultimately love God. We set forth right now dispatch arkwen angels,
ministering angels, worrying angels, to annihilate the tactics of the

(06:17):
demonic entities that live and breathe among us. In the
powerful name of Jesus, I thank you, Lord God, that
we could walk freely knowing that You are in us,
and no matter what happens and what comes out with
way Low God, we would not fear man, but we
would trust in the Living, Holy, Righteous God to guide
us and protect us through life as from this point
all the way to the last point of our last breath.

(06:40):
I thank you, Lord God for saving us, rescuing us,
for positioning us for a blessing. And I pray, Lord
God for every single person on the other side of
the screen and on the other side of this mic,
that you would guidegard and protect them as well, and
that we would unite in faith, one God, one Lord,
one faith, faith and one God, one kingdom right. And

(07:01):
we have this love that you have given us first
for one another. We have it because you loved us first.
I thank you so much for this time. And I pray,
Lord God, that you will fill us up with your
Holy Spirit continuously and teach by way of your Holy
Spirit what your word is saying even in these times
that we're living in. And Jesus Holy Name, I pray
it's by faith. And all those who come together and

(07:21):
agree with prayer the prayer to the Lord, we say
Amen to the Amen. Help me share this out sixty seconds.
There's gonna be a quick sixty seconds, and then when
we come back, we'll get right into today's morning devo
self reliance. I'm right back. Thank you so much for

(08:52):
helping me share this out. Thank you for all those
people who took time to visit. I would donate page
so when is with z dot org forwards slash. Thank
you so much for doing that. Amen. And I'm not
relying on myself a man. Haven't been relying on myself
and my own efforts for a very long time now.
But I know that in the back of my mind. Amen.

(09:13):
When things happen, right, I want to be the first
on the scene. I want to be the first to
try to figure things out and try to work things out.
But let's put everything in perspective. I try to put
everything in biblical perspective instead of you know, political views,
instead of what I want to do, instead of what
I've told, what I saw on social media. We could

(09:35):
work this thing out and we're not self relying. Where
being divinely guided by holy, righteous, loving God who wants
us to be positioned for a blessing. But we have
to admit or I have to admit that a weak
in certain areas in life. So I need to rely
and trust in him. Amen. That's the point of what

(09:56):
I'm trying to say. Amen. So since the joyce, I
see you, good morning, God, bless you, God bless you,
God strengthened you as well, and thank you for the
blessings over the group. Francuela, God bless you. Welcome to
the morning, Devo. It's good to see you. God bless you,
or my sister and my friends. So let's go for it.
Let me get into the scripture, amen, because I don't
want to rattle off. I woke up, like at three

(10:19):
thirty nine. It was in the morning. I heard something
go thump. I'm hearing that. A lot that's happening, a
lot pray for a brother. I don't know what that means,
but immediately I woke up and I was like, what
was that? And then I walked around the house and
then I went back to bed and I started praying.
I said, whoever needs prayer, amen, including myself and my family.
I just prayed. But it's been happening very often. That's

(10:40):
why I'm a little flustered because I'm like, it broke
my sound sleep. I hear things. I'm a light sleeper,
so Amen. So we're hoping and praying. I'm hoping and
praying that everybody's okay, Amen, and my family and outside
of my family, my friends. Amen. There's a lot going on,

(11:02):
and it's spiritual warfare going on in those hours. So
I would think that maybe that's what the case is.
And I'm part of that army of believers and prayer
warriors at those early morning times. Amen, I think. But
I know God is in control, that God is my
safety net and I can rely on him. I can't
really rely on myself a man. Let me prove in

(11:23):
in scripture to myself and maybe you'll agree with me. Amen,
Brother John, God bless you. Good morning. Welcome back to
the money devo of my brother and my friends. So
self reliance, let me get to the scripture. I'll put
it on the screen. For those who are listening at
Soul Winners with a z Org to celebrate a network.
Thank you so much for coming back and listening. And
also those on the podcast, thank you so much for

(11:44):
coming through and subscribing to the podcast The Blaze Bible Study. Amen,
and these morning DeVos. So let's go for self reliance. Amen.
I'm not gonna be able to say that I'm gonna
put a crown on my own head, right. I need
un to do with God calls me to do. Amen,
to get any kind of benefit or any kind of reward,

(12:05):
James Foreign Send says, humble yourselves with an attitude of
repentance and insignificance in the presence of the Lord, and
he will exalt you, he will lift you up, he
will give you purpose. The world says absolutely the opposite

(12:27):
when it comes to this. The world says you are
in control. The world says you control what happens in
your life. The world says you own your body. Amen.
So the world is not a humbling space. The world
tells you to exalt yourself. The world tells you to
get everything you can, can everything you exalt yourself. So

(12:50):
the word of God flies in the face of the
word of this world. Right, the Kingdom of God and
the kingdom of this world are opposed. I don't know
why we get into these debates, believers. I'm talking to them.
I'm talking about people outside of the kingdom, but people
in the kingdom. Why are we debating over worldly systems

(13:12):
that don't promote what God has said and what God
is doing. Let's stay kingdom minded. The world needs what
we have. We don't need what the world has. Amen.
Humble yourselves. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord,
and He will exalt you. Okay, so we got that.

(13:34):
We know the scripture is there. Let's deal with it.
Let's not be self flying. Let's humble ourselves right in
the presence of the Lord and God the Lord, He
will exalt you. Amen, in due time, due season. John
fifteen five. Jesus says, I am the vine. This is

(13:57):
I am moment. When God says I am, he's identifying
himself as the great. I am, the all sufficient one,
the all powerful one, the all knowing one, the omnipresent one,
the one who's full of grace, kindness, and mercy and love.
Oh Man, I am. This is an im statement from
the Lord Jesus. Amen. Why is it that we don't

(14:20):
understand that God right here is claiming Jesus right here
is claiming to be God. The Jews understood what he
was saying, the people of his time understood what he
was saying. And it seems that we don't understand. But
Jesus says, I am the vine. You are the branches.
The one who remains in who in Jesus, The one

(14:43):
who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit.
But otherwise, apart from me, Jesus said, other than outside
of me, that is cut off from vital union with me,
you can do nothing. Doesn't that humble you? Amen? Humbles me.

(15:06):
I gotta stay connected to Jesus. I gotta stay connected
to Divine. That's my lifeline. The one who remains in
the Lord God will remain in him. And because of
this union, and because of this connection. Because of this connection,
we're gonna bear much fruit in our relationships and our
finances and our health, and our churches, in our workplaces,

(15:31):
and our schools, and our homes, with our spouses, with
our children will have favor, and we're gonna bear much fruit,
much food. Jesus said, for apart from the Lord, we
can do nothing. And this doesn't fly real good with

(15:53):
the worldly people. Man, they said, what I ain't bound
down to nobody. I don't need nobody, right, And you
hear it out society. You hear people say, nah, I'm good.
I don't need your Jesus, Sam, I don't believe in God.
I get what I got because I worked hard for you.
Ever heard people say that? Seems humble? Right? In a way,
I worked hard for this. I was watching what was

(16:16):
that guy d? The Repo Guide Bounty Hunter D. Although
I think a lot of that stuff is just for
clicks and views. But there was a guy said he
was trying to repod this man's car, and the guy
came out and said, no, man, you touch my car,
it's gonna be on and pop. And that's what they want.
They want to try to get that kind of footage

(16:36):
and Bounty hundred D videos. Right, good morning brother one,
good morning God, bless you, thank you for the blessings
for everybody that's tuned in as well. So in this one,
the guy comes out and say listen, and he started
explaining he was angry but the Bonde hundred D and
the people that were with Body hundred decent. Man, you're

(16:57):
six months behind in your car. We're taking your car?
Was like, I work hard, right, and you know I felt,
you know, I felt that a little bit. I work hard.
I have a newborn baby. You know, I work hard
for this car, so you ain't taking it. But the responsibility,
you know, he mentioned that he worked hard for it,

(17:17):
but the responsibility wasn't taken care of, right. And I'm
self not self sufficient, I'm independently and self employed. I'm independent,
so I know what he's kind of coming from. So
I'm working hard, doing the best I can. But it
sounds like he was relying on himself to get the

(17:40):
situation taken care of, even though he didn't meet his
obligation with the car. Note, So the world has this
idea that whatever I work for is mine, whatever I
work hard for is even more mine, right, and whatever
I want I get because I'm doing it. They don't

(18:03):
give credit to no, to God, they don't give credit
to nobody else but themselves. I even heard people say
that they were self made millionaires when the Scripture is
plainly saying to us that God gives us the health
to gain wealth. Amen. So this is something that you
know is intriguing to me. This is something that's interesting

(18:23):
on self reliance, right because I see it all throughout culture. Amen.
A lot of people say, you know, it's all about perspective.
I did this, you believe that I believe this. So
let's you know, self reliance really false, flat in the
face when it's compared to what Jesus said, what the
scripture saying. Amen. I'm in a mode of humility. I'm

(18:48):
humbling myself, Amen, because I know for sure that I
can't do nothing without the power of God. I know
for sure that it was God's grace that got me
in this seat right now in the studio. Is by
God's grace that I could even testify. By God's grace
I even have a life. Amen. So I humble myself.

(19:08):
I might sound arrogant and sometimes Amen, and so do you.
Sometimes I guess right. But ultimately I'm humble. I humble
myself before the Lord and the presence of the Lord
because I know he's mighty a safe now. You know
what's interesting though, sometimes when you're in church settings and
communities during worship and people say I feel the presence

(19:30):
of the Lord, Well, if you feel the presidence of
the Lord, according to this scripture, then humble yourself, right.
And we say that a lot. Right, I feel the
presence of God. And maybe that's what it is. We're
feeling the presence of the Lord. Amen. But where the
presidence of the Lord is, there's humility. Humble. Humble situations
come when the presence of the Lord. Right, Repentance, attitude

(19:54):
of repentance, and insignificance come with the presence of the Lord,
in the presence of the Lord, and because of that humility,
God himself will exalt you and me. Amen. It's his word, right,
I'm not trying to play semantics. Literally, it says, humble
yourselves with an attitude of repentance and insignificance in the

(20:17):
presence of the Lord. So when I say I feel
the presence of God, amen, it's humbling. It's humbling, right,
John Crosby said, Amen, my brother, humble, humble, humble. Right,
So I'm gonna have to be the first one to
confess the struggles of self reliance. Amen, I'm a man.

(20:39):
I'm a man. I want to make sure my family's good.
I want to fix everything. The other day my daughter
had did something, my ten year old, and oh, she
forgot to bring her clothes for Jim because it's the
new year, and I thought Jim was on Thursday like
last year, but Jim was on Tuesdays. And when we

(21:00):
were on the way, I heard a tell a friend
on the phone, Oh, man, I'm cooked. I forgot my
gym clothes, so I won't be able to participate. So
she didn't ask me to do anything. I listened to
the conversation. She got to school. They didn't ask me
to do anything. So when I got home, I told
my wife, guess what say La forgot her gym clothes.
Oh you should have My wife said, Oh, you should

(21:20):
have told me. I would have brought her the clothes.
Helped me to bring her clothes, I said, because sometimes
we have to let people learn from their own mistakes. Right,
So I think that was a lesson. What do you think.
I know all the guys are like, ooh, we told
your wife that. I said, yeah, it's one of those
things that our spouses think differently, and they should think differently,

(21:41):
right A man thinks like a man and a woman
thinks like a woman, or that's the way it should be.
But I'm humble enough to if she would have said, well,
can you please take the clothes, or if my daughter
would ask me, can you please take the clothes? Out
of humbled myself and I would have did that. But
there was no mention right for my daughter's and to
fix something. And I think that's because she's learning. Hey,

(22:04):
I got to pay more attention. But I'm humble enough
to do what's ever's necessary. But I can't fix everything
because I don't want everybody to rely on me. I'm
not even gonna be self relying on myself. I don't
want everybody to rely on me. When I want everybody
to do in my family is really rely on God first,
and then we'll get what God's given and we'll come
to a conclusion and figure things out. Amen, That's what

(22:26):
I'm saying. Yep, taught a lesson, right. It's not easy
because in the back of my mind. I was like, WHOA,
I'll just go home, get the clothes and bring it
to her. But no, hopefully the teacher dealt with it correctly,
in the correct wation and tell me anything about it.
So hopefully it was dealt with correctly, and maybe there
was grace given to the kids who forgot that it's

(22:48):
a new year, so it's a different day for Jim.
That's what I'm saying. It's that simple of an example, right,
I'm not gonna get too deep. Is the morning Devo? Amen,
Good morning, Brother Manuel, God bless you, Good morning, welcome
back to the one of Devo, my brother and my friends.
So confess the struggle of self reliance, right, and you
could pray this out. This is one of the drastic

(23:10):
praise I've been talking about. This is an example. Father,
I confess that too often I depend on my own strength,
I depend on my own wisdom, and I depend on
my own plans instead of leaning on you. I like
to plan. We probably like to plan too. I have
a calendar. You probably have a calendar, load it up
with opportunities, loaded up with meetings. And I always have

(23:33):
to say, Lord willing when I look at my calendar
and my events and the days ahead, Lord willing, Amen,
because I know that it's all on God's clock. It's
all on God's timing. It's so what he wants to do, Amen.
And if he allows this data happen and that data happen,
and that plan to come to pass and that event

(23:54):
to happen, Amen, Praise God. Is because He got us there. Amen.
So it takes a lot of humanity. It takes a
lot of humbling because the society and a culture that
we're living in is fast society, information society. They want
everything now, Amen, and rights of the humans and this that,
and the's a lot going on, right. But a kingdom

(24:15):
minded individual, kingdom minded brother and sister and the Lord. Amen.
We know that it's by the grace of God that
we could do anything. Amen, Manuel says, developing a humble spirit. Yes,
And it's trusting God in all our affairs. Yes, Manuel.
And that's where that's where I'm at. I'm in the
process of humbling myself, staying connected to divine being in

(24:38):
the presence of the Lord. Amen. And what was the
other one? We saw the other principle and what Jesus said,
we could do nothing apart from him. Right, If we're
cut off from the union with Christ Jesus, we could
do nothing. So the opposite applies when we're attached to

(25:01):
the vine, When we're attached to the Lord, right, God
will remain attached to us, and we're going to bear
much fruit. There's gonna be a time of fruit bearing, right,
no matter what the situation you're facing. That's why it's
important to get into a personal relationship with the Lord,
not just a general relationship with the Lord, and not

(25:22):
just an inheritan relationship with the Lord. In other words,
people I would ask a person, hey, did you give
your life to the Lord, and they would say, oh,
my grandmother used to go to church, or my dad
is a pastor, or my mom is a worship leader.
And that's not what I asked. When it's you personally.
Get into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

(25:43):
So that way you could stay connected to the Lord
yourself and you could bear much fruit and stop relying
on either yourself or somebody who's in a church. Amen,
man will says, not our will be done, but God's
will be done in our life. Yes, last time I checked,
things are happening and I can't be responsible for everything

(26:05):
that's happening to me, but I could be responsible and
allow God to work through me. Amen, if that makes
any sense. So leaning on our own confidence, right, or
maybe leaning on other people to get us through before
we leave God to get us through is idolatry like
money could be a God. If we're not careful, your

(26:28):
own abilities could be your idol instead of trusting fully
in the Lord Jesus. So I'm out of time. I
know I start a little late. Amen, forgive me, man
Will says in Christ Jesus, we live, move and have
our being. Yes, absolutely, And that's where I'm at right now,
and hopefully that's where you're going as well, and that's

(26:50):
where you're going to be as well. James, Chapter four,
verse number ten. Read the whole chapter verse chapter four
of the Book of James and John fifteen to five.
Read on fifteen the whole chapter. If you have time today, amen,
and see where the Lord leads you. Amen. And I
hope and pray that if you're dealing with self reliance
and you feel like everything is on your shoulders and

(27:10):
the whole world is on your shoulders, even Christianities on
your shoulders and people's lives on your shoulders. Amen, release
yourself from those type of burdens. We can't do it
on our own. We need to rely on Jesus to
Christ in our lives and through our lives. Amen, we're
benefiting off the finished work of the Lord, and that
still apply work of Jesus that we're living in now.

(27:30):
But the finished work already has us seated in heavenly places.
But in the meantime, let's go ahead and be christ Like.
In the meantime, let's go ahead and move accordingly. In
the meantime, let's love people. Amen, Let's listen to people,
and let's advance the Kingdom of God through the gospel message. Amen.
Being self sufficient is not good, Manuel says, God, bless

(27:51):
you too, brother Robbie, Brother John, God bless you as well.
Amen and Manuel. Take it to God and prayer. Yes,
thank you so much for everybody just hanging out with
me on the morning DeVos. Hopefully you have a great
weekend and hopefully we can see you soon on the
next time. Amen, God bless you all. Got to keep
you all and remember always that God is good. Peace.
