In the meantime, more Bob and Tom Extra.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
We have a lot to get to today. I want
to clarify something. Christy is probably going to be going
to Vegas to see The Wizard of Oz.

Speaker 6 (03:50):
Yeah, I think so. I was on the fence last night.
But if you guys think I should go, I should go.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
If you haven't heard about this, they're showing it at
the Sphere, which is this huge globe. I went there
to see the eagles.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
It was really great.

Speaker 7 (04:02):
But interestingly enough and Ace was mentioning this off, Dear,
the Wizard of Oz version they're showing is twenty seven
minutes shorter.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Oh in the original, and well there it could. There
are some fats, some fat on.

Speaker 7 (04:15):
They they apparently they cut one of my favorite songs,
the Cowardly Lion If I were the King of the Forest.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
The song in the whole movie.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
They cut that.

Speaker 7 (04:25):
That's what it says. Wow, so much for you going
to see it, it says reviewers. Note many sequences have
been shortened or reimagined, if not outright removed.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Oh well, maybe I won't go. I saw some video
and have you guys seen some of the video of it.
I had. It's baffling.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
It's incredible looking, and it did look reimagine because they
had to re imagine it for the setting.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Of course. I guess they're drones flying around. Are there
wing monkeys above the crowd? It looks really impressive they
drop of. I got a foam rubber apples on your head. Yeah,
I think it'll be great. I didn't realize they'd cut
that much of it out. Yeah, geez, half an hour,
but i'd be cut that one song.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
Yeah, that is a great song for us.

Speaker 9 (05:13):
Great.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Don't you do?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
You do a song as the Cowardly Lion? Which one
do you? I think we do something like about the hippos.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Oh that's right.

Speaker 7 (05:20):
Oh maybe we can dig that up just just in
honor of the Wizard of Oz in Vegas, a tribute
to the hippo.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I think it would still be worth going to. Yeah,
but so you have an opportunity to go, is that correct?

Speaker 6 (05:30):
When the eighteenth of this month?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
What do they want for it? All tickets are proud
of it?

Speaker 6 (05:35):
To fifty per Yeah, that's that's three hundred if you
want the the ip thing.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
How much are the tickets twenty bucks now maybe or yeah,
maybe more.

Speaker 7 (05:51):
General admissions one hundred and four bucks. According to this
is from the Washington Post. Yeah, they do get apparently
works if it's Vegas. Yeah, the VIP package host for
four hundred and fifty bucks a person.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Oh wow, but you know how you look at Vegas.
It's just a big atm. You're going out there to
pick up money. I mean it's just way.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
I'm a fly and fly out same day. I'm not
gonna miss it one day of one now, Christy.

Speaker 7 (06:15):
The VIP package that they have here, you get a
one night's day at the Venetian. Well, we're not staying,
we're flying in for you gotta stay it. Just chick says,
you got to turn one hundred bucks into ten thousand.
That's right, what's wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Easily done? You leave the money on the table on
the table. You're staying over.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
Now you're going and yeah, in and out.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Whoa.

Speaker 7 (06:34):
I'm just looking at some of the visuals. That looks wonderful.
So yeah, it'll be fun. It's one of my favorite movies.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
Yeah, it was on last night actually on AMC.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Quite a different experience.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
It's quite a different experience, especially with commercials, people watching
it on their phone.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
But that's how we grew up. We watched it with commercials.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Remember it was absolutely Is there a version of it
that they include that they made a big deal out
of the song that wasn't It's called the Jitterbug or something.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
I've never seen that included in the full movie. Right, yeah,
but in any of it, it should be fun. And
Christy went, so you're going.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
Well, I haven't pulled the trigger, but I'm thinking.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Well, pull that trigger. Life is short. You gotta go. Yeah,
And you know how Tom, when we take time off,
take a month, it'll be fun.

Speaker 6 (07:18):
I'm taking a lot of time off.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Hey, hey, hey, we'll see you in twenty six. Go ahead,
come on, refresh yourself. Yeah yeah, Oh, you read the
memo that I wrote to you?

Speaker 6 (07:29):
What what bthday? Thrust of the year off?

Speaker 2 (07:34):
I don't know what?

Speaker 7 (07:34):
There goes the whole show. Now we have letters to
get to. This one involves a problem created by Chick McGee. Oh,
I had one created by Tom Griswolf.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I'll go first.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
It was my wife's birthday, writes Kevin from Winchester, Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Happy birthday, lady. We had a long day of drinking
to celebrate.

Speaker 7 (07:55):
My wife came into the family a room feeling real good.
Oh she had a toomism. Yeah, can we please turn
down the volume of the lights.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
I thought she was going to say, hey, my my
baby area is aching or something. By the way.

Speaker 7 (08:15):
After after a day of drinking, I got out of
the shower that night and yielded into the bedroom. Boy,
you watch some of this before I put it away?
Here you go, right, no response. I got to the bedroom,
she had passed out and was snoring. Well, I think
happy birthday. That's un implied, yes, right, no answer is
a positive man.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
No means maybe have some woman done that like grabbing
her cross and saying put it away? We did get
a letter. I believe you were gone though that. That's nice? Yeah, yeah,
would you like that?

Speaker 6 (08:50):
Do you like it when women make that move?

Speaker 8 (08:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
You know I like it when they say, hey, get
off me stuff like that. Yeah, tell me what they want. Yeah,
they ain't gonna eat itself, that's right? All right. I
wish you could breathe through your ears stuff like that.
I got another time, isn't before we move on? All right?

Speaker 7 (09:12):
Sir h An ultra light aircraft went flying by. My
wife looked up and she said, oh, look it's those
airplane go karts.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Thank you, Pete.

Speaker 7 (09:27):
Wow, I mean that's a good district. Yeah, in Mitchell, Indiana. Well,
thank you very much, Pete. We appreciate your listening. Short
less letter here from Jesse says, yes, bogarting is still
a thing, no kidding. And in the world of marijuana's moking, apparently,
don't bogart that joint. As they say in the song you.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Have a letter over there, dear bother Tom show, I
have something for Tom as a boy. This is from
Harvey harr Tom. Can you imagine Tom as a boy
having this toy in his house? Yes, it's a model
of a express cruiser. Chris Kraft there it is, Tom Hat.

(10:16):
Oh that's nice. Well it's part of the Limburg line.
Yeah sure. Paul Lindberg, Yeah, he it is, It says
the Limburg line, workhorse of the industries.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
What that is?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah? Man, oh man, I guess you put that together
and it really floats seventy six parts, it says. So
that's a little little mini cabin cruiser. Yeah. Look, how excited.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
And they've got the two it's one guy driving with
his captain's hat and of course two ladies waving in
the back.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Tom.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
The answer, you're you needing a hat has caught the
imagination of the country. The answer has been staring us
right in the face that you need the Hugh Hefner
captain's hat. That's what it is now. But I still yeah,
you don't see those very often exactly. Yeah, yeah, which

(11:07):
is which is?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Are you kidding me? Now? I, as you know, I
have been informed that I have to cover my ears outside.

Speaker 7 (11:16):
No.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yes, have a.

Speaker 7 (11:19):
Technical issue involving sun and skin stuff. I won't go
to too many details. I'm about to have part of
my ear removed, by the way, my ear flap. But
I went and I saw, I went and I got
a cowboy hat this week.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
All right? It was this that the famous cowboy hat store.

Speaker 7 (11:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yeah, and it comes with a case. Look, oh my god,
wow the case. I couldn't afford the case when I
went when I went through, uh lug, But I wear
it out and saved ninety bucks. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (11:53):
The preliminary person at t s A when you walk through,
when you show your ID, the guy goes, you got
on animal in there?

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I know it looks like something you have a mod.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
Do you have to pay extra for the case?

Speaker 2 (12:06):
I don't know. I didn't pay attention. Are you going
to see the hat? You you one way or another?
You pay extra? Yeah, it's just insane.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
That fit in the overhead ben Yeah, I'm look at it.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Look at this. Oh you didn't have to buy a
seat for it. Look at this? All right? So Tom
is actually taking his headphones off. He's taking off a
ball cap getting on a very sharp That is amazing.
That's a terrific choice. It works hat. She helped you
didn't I learned that it's kind of grave. This is

(12:43):
I know, this is It sounds like I'm making this up.
Do you know what? This is made of gold?

Speaker 6 (12:47):
Beaver?

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Beaver? How about that this is made of beaver?

Speaker 8 (12:51):
So it looks like it has a like a blunder
bus on the front, like at those old timey rifles
with a huge ballaty.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Oh yeah, but this I thought there was an odor
when you took it out of the box.

Speaker 8 (13:04):
It looks really good. It's it's kind of it looks great.
It's like a they call it a grayish color.

Speaker 7 (13:10):

wear that on the air. Yeah, so you can wear
that air you mean, wear it on the air. I
feel great. I don't need it in the I need
it outside. If you're not going to take my suggestion
wearing a captain's hat, If you wear the cowboy hat,
your next purchase is a poncho, That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (14:00):
Yeah, one of those big trench dusters, like.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
It looks amazing.

Speaker 7 (14:07):
Ladies are gonna like it, pats right, Maybe the duster. Yeah,
the duster I could pull off.

Speaker 9 (14:11):
That's too serious, like an old gunslinger with it. Don't
don't quit and get self conscious, because that looks good.
Walk the dogs with it. Last night however, in spurs,
we want to hear you come the threatening spur noise.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Can I put spurs topsiders? Jingle jangle jingle?

Speaker 6 (14:30):
Did anybody say anything to you?

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Walking?

Speaker 6 (14:33):
You're walking the dog frying?

Speaker 2 (14:35):
However, this medium, this world has been ruined the cowboy
hat because what's his name always wore one and he
looked like it. Who the crip keeper? I mus or whatever? Yeah,
this is a this is the new look for.

Speaker 7 (14:49):
I like it.

Speaker 8 (14:50):
Walking the dog, walking the dog outside, driving in the car,
walking the dog and chasing the tail.

Speaker 6 (14:56):
And I haven't you're driving the car with that.

Speaker 2 (14:59):

I just, I just I know you don't know.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
I'm off.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
I'm full of good ideas today. You get the cowboy hat,
you get the poncho. You get a horse, you draw
you ride your horse to work?

Speaker 7 (15:13):
Please, get a horse, a horse, get some press. Yeah,
I think I think a pickup truck. Now there's something that.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you taking me to McDonald's on the horse. Yeah, Josh,
behind you one saddle, you're both on the horse. That
you actually do that, I'd love it. I don't think
they kind of they kind of frown when you try
to walk through. I know. Yeah, they don't. Well, they'd
rather go in with the horse. I come to you people,

(15:41):
