Speaker 1 (00:05):
Brian Russell name you know the brand liming up the
airways in this ing belt a snow face with a
fiery half talking truth. You can't always stand fast to
(00:30):
show from coast to coast. Got the facts, but it
ain't no boast. Can't give up the change and give
it toast to the man who roasts the moods.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Knock it off. It's rust on me.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
But in my like care of scenes, did you mind? No,
don't free Frey? In the top show, Silver Street, the
Firs Lords, that's off the plane. Nothing never stays the same,
(01:04):
breaking down walls of shame. Ryan Roust is here claim
voy says rise a thing, and so through the sensor
to the core. All the sessions keep the score for
Ryan's babbling in this warm knocking off its rushold me,
Bunny ry.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Like care saints, stick you mind, don't.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Don't free pray in the Social Silver Street.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
All right, good morning and welcome to the show. Now,
before we get going, I do have to check in
on everybody. I gotta check in on everybody before we
go any further with this show. Is everybody okay? Is
everybody okay? And the reason for why I'm asking this
is because apparently everybody that listens to this show. If
(02:04):
you are a conservative, if you're a MAGA supporter, you
are scared to death, scared to death of Harry Sisson.
So I want to make sure everybody's okay. If you
want to check in on the chats, whether it be
on Facebook or the rumbled chat or the whim can
chat or whatever, just let me know you guys are okay.
(02:27):
Blink twice if you're in trouble. Just want to make
sure that kid's got some nerve. He really does. He's
got some nerve to get out there and say that
we're all afraid of him. We're all definitely afraid of
Harry Sisson. And that's what's wrong with MAGA. They're so
scared of him. How bad is it when you are
(02:49):
so stupid you don't realize that you're being made fun of.
And that's where I almost feel bad good you guys
are saying you're all good. This is the area that
I actually feel bad for a hairbear, that he is
such a dumb kid that he doesn't realize that the
world is making fun of him. They're making fun of you, dude,
(03:14):
They're not afraid of you. The memes that you were
seeing it. It has nothing to do with fear. I
think you're afraid. You're afraid that you have lost any
sort of influence, which not that you had a whole lot,
but you've lost anything that you did have, and you
had lost any sense of credibility that you got it
now that the only thing that you got to do
(03:35):
is attack the conservatives and the mag of people. They're
afraid of me, That's what it is. They're afraid of me.
It makes me giggle, he really does. Anyhow, Welcome to
the Red Friday Show, which, by the way, is when
we honor everybody and remember everyone who is deployed, and
of course that includes our ice agents, our border patrol agents,
our National Guard who are deported deployed all around the country.
(04:01):
Uh in in defense of this absolute craziness that we
got going on here. Uh D boy, you're right, narcissists.
That's that is That is probably a gentle way, gentle
way of putting it. When you start talking about Harry
sis On and the poor kid. I mean, from a
(04:22):
human standpoint, we do have to look at and go, oh,
bless your heart, you're poor. You're gonna be okay. It's
gonna be okay. Do you need a hug. I'm sure
we could find one of the boys at the bride parades,
uh to give you a hug, which is so funny.
I do have this gay friend who is hardcore conservative,
(04:44):
I mean hardcore conservative, and it's so funny because he is.
He also self describes himself as the most homophobic homo
there is. It's true, like I could get into conversations
with this guy, and first off, he he's not very masculine,
which I don't really care because he's funny and we've
known each other for like fifteen years now, and you know,
(05:08):
he he gets bashing on the gay community and it's
such a hardcore way and it's funny to watch. But
his thing now is he slams on Hairbear telling him
that he needs to uh what is it? He says
he needs to get rid of that mac blush that
he has. I guess, ladies, you could probably tell me,
(05:30):
because to be honest with you, the only makeup that
I've ever done is TV makeup, and I've never done it,
so I wouldn't know what it was they were putting
on me. So I'm not big on the name brands
and everything, but is Mac like? I know it's a
big name brand for makeup and everything, but is it
like a low quality because it's an insult that I
(05:51):
just didn't get when he throws it out there about
Hairbear and his Mac blush. So, ladies in the chats,
if you could do me a favor, just let me
know is Mac like? Is it like a the Walmart
of a brand of of makeup for people? I don't know. Yeah, anyhow,
(06:12):
the continued also threats that are out there. Have you
seen these timo Obama teamo Obama along with fart boy
Eric Swalwell getting out there with now threatening people and
I don't know if this is exactly the best campaign
to do. Yes, it is actually the cheap brand. Okay,
well now that makes now the insult makes a little
(06:34):
bit more sense. That and Hairbear you should probably ask
somebody to it's pretty obvious that he does. We we're
makeup and I'm not gonna judge, I really whatever, but
you do need to make sure you do it right.
Apple cheeks. That's a good one. So Eric Swalwell now
(06:55):
out making some threats to the American people and to
anybody who had supported Donald Trump and worked with him.
I don't think that this is the best way to go.
And I don't think that fart Boy actually thought this
through too well either. But he came out and he
said yesterday that he will target and investigate any private
(07:16):
citizen who worked with Trump when the Dems win in
twenty twenty six. Seriously, you're going to target and investigate
any private citizen, which by the way, means anyone who
(07:37):
has worked with Trump when the Dems take control in
twenty twenty six. And you guys are out there complaining
right now about the warfare, the law fair and targeting people,
and now you're promoting you're gonna do it. This is
going to be a pretty evil, vicious cycle that's going on.
But this is yet another reason as to why we
(07:59):
need to ensure that the Democrats do not win the
election in the House next year. And it is absolutely
critical that the Republicans maintained power and actually gain more
power in the House. And this is one of these
things that I think the the RNC and the Republican
(08:19):
Party as a whole needs to be watching and needs
to talk about, and needs to remind people of things.
We need to remind the Democrats and those in the
middle of the road that Eric Swalwell said he's going
to attack and target and go after American citizens who
(08:43):
just so happened to work with the president. That is
a bad direction for either side to ever go. And
when you look at what Donald Trump is doing right now,
was a no drugstore and makeup, no Dillard's makeup, no
Jason Penny makeup? Did I miss something as those like
(09:05):
the bet Again, I don't know. Look, I've done the
makeup thing for TV, stuff that I have done. And
again I just I just sat in the chair and
the girls did the thing and I walk away. That's
that's all I remember. So I don't remember what brands
they were, So I don't even know what would would
be a good brand. I mean, I've never really paid
(09:27):
much attention to girlfriend's makeup. You know, when they wear it,
I notice it. But I don't know just But again,
it sounds like it's a good insultant. When the gay
guy's insulting another gay guys makeup, you know that it's
got to be it's got to be bad. But anyhow,
the Republican Party, they really truly have got to to
(09:48):
remind people of the the violent rhetoric that is coming
out of the left, and they need to push this
and they they need to remind people that this is
not the type of people that we need to have
running the running the country. And you know, he's not
the only one that's out there making these stupid threats.
Even Team Obama Teama Obama came out and made some
(10:11):
threats as well, and he said that when it comes
to these extremists, because now Tiama Obama, his feelings are heard.
Just all of these memes that Donald Trump and the
Donald Trump supporters are making, and it's they're making fun
of me, and I don't like it, and I don't
know what to do. So I'm gonna try and act
like I'm a big tough guy. And you're not, by
(10:33):
the way, Timu, You're not a tough guy at all.
But he said that when it comes to the the extremists,
you better watch out about the way you talk about me.
Excuse me, we better watch out the way that we
talk about you. And of course, remember when you when
you need to figure out who is extremists. Extremists are
(10:55):
anybody who's not on board with them. So if if
you're a middle of the road. If you're a MAGA person,
if you're extreme right, as long as you are are
not a progressive liberal, then you're an extremist. So Timu
Obama wants you to understand that you better watch out,
(11:16):
that you better watch out about the way you talk
about him. Or what Timu or what what are you
going to do? I mean, are are you? Are you
making another threat to the American people that we have
to watch out the way that we talk about our politicians. Otherwise,
(11:37):
what are you going to come after us? Let me
just drop a gentle reminder to you, a gentle reminder
to you two words second Amendment. I'm just gonna leave
it right there for you. If I've got to explain
(11:59):
it to you a little bit more TEAMU than you
probably shouldn't be in government. But the idea that we
now have politicians that are coming out and essentially threatening
us because they don't like the words that they hear.
And of course, Jeff King Jeffries also sets out another
(12:21):
warning to anyone who is behind Trump's White House ballroom.
This might also be a big, big mistake too. And
the Democrats, now you know, even though that they've gone
with the law fair, and they've made that a huge
part of their party platform, and that when they don't
get their way, all they're going to do is they're
going to take it to court and they're going to
sue because they don't have any decent arguments or the
cohones to actually stand up to anybody. But we've seen
(12:45):
the different things that have gone on between Letitia James
vowing to make her name for herself by going after
Donald Trump. Remember all the things that she said when
she ran for office. Now, I'm going to make the
city of New York safe. I'm not going to make
the state of New York state. I'm going to go
after the bad guys. Now, I'm going to get Donald Trump.
That's what he did the entire time. And of course
(13:06):
the left is calling on the prosecution of any of
the weaponization of our Justice Department, even though that's what
they did for years. But Timo Obama now coming out
and he's just vowed to investigate the people who made
private donations to President Trump's White House ballroom project. Now,
Donald Trump was talking about this yesterday and it's about
(13:27):
three hundred and fifty million dollars in donations. Is what
they have pretty much come up with at this point,
all private donations. Some of it Donald Trump's money. It's
not all Donald Trump's money. I mean, let's be honest
with it. While Donald Trump's gonna throw some millions in there,
a lot of it has coming from a bunch of
other people. And he also released the donor list, and
the donor list is pretty long, and it's some pretty
(13:48):
big people including by the way, Meta Meta Facebook, Instagram.
Zuckerberg has also donated to this. Apple has donated to this,
and a whole bunch of other big people and big
corporations have donated to it. But Jeffrey said that without
any sort of evidence that the donors would would be
probably using the donations to get some favors of the
(14:10):
Trump administration, which, let's face it, it's politics. It happens, okay.
I mean, there are people that are gonna make some donations,
and they're gonna make the donations, not necessarily for something
in return, but at least the influence to be able
to say, hey, here's my thoughts and ideas on something
that is one of the things that goes on in politics.
(14:31):
It's not necessarily they're buying the votes or whatever, but
they get that influence. But he ended up saying that
more likely, this is part of what Donald Trump has
been doing since day one of his presidency, running the
largest pay for play scheme in the history of the country,
and probably soliciting donations from people who got business before
the United States government. And he goes on to say
(14:53):
that on all of this is going to have to
be investigated. It will, all of this will be uncovered,
it will, and these people are going to be held
accountable no matter how long it takes. And of course
I've said this statement about five times faster than Jeffrey's
gonna actually get it out. But he goes on and says,
and that's a warning to all of these people participating
(15:13):
in this, this scheming to manipulate taxpayer dollars and of
course to destroy the People's House. The White House belongs
to the American people. It doesn't belong to Donald Trump.
Now this is the other thing too. I don't know
how much time to get on this rant, but I'm
gonna do it quickly. I'm gonna criticize Donald Trump just
a little bit. He and the team were not all
(15:37):
that forward and open about exactly what's going on with
the East Wing. We were told it was just the facade.
We were told it's gonna be some things. No, it's gone.
I mean, they literally demolish the entire thing, including the
walkway that kind of goes to it. So it's history.
See you later by by Gonzo. Now, the Rump administration
(16:00):
was not exactly clear on that that's exactly what's going
to happen. Donald Trump did say that, you know, it
wasn't going to alter the building, any of the current
building any and it did, and I wish he was
a little bit more honest about it. But it is
not the worst thing in the world. Presidents have altered
the White House over and over again throughout the history
of it has been gutted. The West Wing has been
(16:23):
demolished before and rebuilt. But it's just sad that now
we have the leader of the minority party who stands
a chance at gaining power again next year if the
Republican Party screws this up, which they're good at doing,
is now threatening the American people. The wealthy donors, who
(16:44):
by the way, some of them are Democrat donors, even
that if you donated to this project, we're going to
investigate you. If you're somebody who has a private citizen
who has worked with the Trump administration, we're going to
investigate you and we're gonna come after you. Oh and
(17:06):
I just to clarify because we've been told over and
over again. So you guys all know Donald Trump, he's
the fascist, he's the dictator. But the left today is
telling you that if you participate with that group, we're
gonna come after you. We're going to investigate you, and
we're going to take you down. Right. It's a Red Friday,
(17:31):
by the way, brought to you by our friends at
American Charlie Grill and Tavern, where they are right now
taking your reservations for your holiday party. If you haven't
done a holiday party there, you might want to jump
on that list now because those dates always go fast,
So give them a call right there on Panama City Beach,
do your holiday party there, and remember today is Red Friday,
where we do remember everyone who is deployed. Hang on,
(17:53):
we got to take a quick break. We'll be right back,
all right. Welcome back to the Brian Rush Show here
at our Red Friday, brought to you by our friends
at America Charlie grilla tavern. Remember, everyone who is deployed,
(18:15):
whether it is a National Guard member, an ICE member,
or any member of our federal law enforcement that is
out protecting this nation against the ridiculous left, we appreciate you.
We thank you for what you're doing, especially considering right
now you're doing it and not getting paid because of
(18:36):
the Democrats. Oh my god, it's not the Democrats. This
is a ton of Donald Trump shut down. No, it's not.
This is a Schumer shutdown. It is on the Democrats.
It is not the Republicans, So please get over it.
The Democrats, by the way, and the left propagandas they're
getting desperate, like watching them on social media right now.
(18:58):
The level of desperation that they have is who We
might need to check on them by the end of
the weekend and make sure that they're okay. Anybody see
this one with the with with one of the Mama
Donnie promises that he has made for New York City.
We're trying to make it such a great place with
the communist beliefs. One of the promises that Mamadanni has
(19:21):
made is to give free busses to make it so
that they don't charge any bus riders anything. And of
course this has come down through with a lot of
a lot of criticism regarding a lot of what he's
wanting to do and the free bus, you know, where
you're going to pay for it? How are you going
to pay for it? Is one of the criticisms that
(19:44):
he's got. And he was asked about the free bus
thing and how this is going to work and what
it's going to do, and he actually came out and
he said that reducing the crime and the violence and
everything else that you're seeing in the New York City
buses right now will will go away because the buses
(20:09):
will be for free.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
Yeah, that's the ideology of this guy. This guy believes
that if we give free buses that people will stop
being violent towards the bus drivers and other people on
the buses. So I wonder if the young Ukrainian girl
(20:34):
in North Carolina, if if the bus was free, if
that psychopath would not have killed her. I'm just curious.
This is the stupidity that we are dealing with on
the left. It's unreal, it really is. All right, we
got to take a break for our bottom of the hour.
Don't forget the doster Boys is gonna be joining us
in the hour number three from America in View. We
(20:56):
always have a great conversation with them, but first we
got to take our break. We'll be right back, all right.
Welcome back to the Brian Rush Show here in Florida
Man Radio, Happy Read Friday. Remembering everyone who is employed
(21:19):
sponsored by a Friends in America Charlie Grilla Tavern, give
them a call to send up your holiday party. By
the way, they're doing the bookings on that now, but
you might want to act quickly because they fill up
quickly as well. So Democrats. They are imploding so fast
that they don't even realize when they are slipping up,
(21:40):
and they are slipping up a lot. You know, we
saw the Harry Sisson situation the other day when he
was on on what's his name here? Damn it, it's
a Friday. The brain's already shutting down for the weekend.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
What is it?
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Pierce Morgan on the Pierce Morgan Show, which amazing, and
I always gotta give prompts where prompts are due. The
kids got some kahones to continually go on there. Either
that or he's just that stupid and doesn't realize that
he's losing the argument every time. But he went on
the other day and he was talking about how not
a single top elected Democrat has ever called Donald Trump
(22:22):
hitler seriously dude, And of course right away somebody goes
right into ripping into him and starts going, oh, well,
what about this person, this person, this person, this person,
this person. And it's just sad to watch how how
badly these guys are actually imploding. And there's another top
(22:42):
Democrat who slipped up big time. And I would hate
to be heard walking through the halls right now with
other Democrats and they're going to be like, what did
you say? Representative Catherine Clark from Connecticut, who is the
second ranking Democrat in the US House of Representatives. On Thursday,
(23:03):
she had an interview that she did with Fox News,
and she slipped up and said the loud part or
the quiet part out loud, and she acknowledged that the
shutdown actually causes pains for families. This is what she said.
She said, the shutdowns are terrible, and of course there
will be families that are going to suffer. We take
(23:25):
that responsibility very seriously, but it's one of the few
leverage times we have. Yes, you just heard that, right,
because we are right now in October twenty fifth, now
on November one, and this is one of the things
that is an issue. And remember I did say at
(23:46):
the very beginning of the shutdown that the shutdowns really
are not that big of a deal until it gets
to a certain point, though, and we have reached that
certain point where it is now the second longest that
we've done with what are we twenty four days or
whatever it is, the longest being thirty five days and
coming up on November first, the snap benefits. If you
(24:09):
don't have anything left on your snap card from this month,
it's not being reloaded, so it will not be reloaded
coming up on November first. So obviously, right now, the
people who do rely on the Snap Benefits, the food stamps,
they are in a point of panic, which I know.
(24:32):
There's a few ways of thinking about this, one being
get out there and get a job, and to a degree,
there are a lot of people that we need to
say that to get up there and get a job.
But unfortunately there's also a lot of single mothers, single fathers,
disabled people, you know, people who legitimately need help and assistance.
(24:54):
People that I don't mind that we assist because they
need it, and it's not like they're just being lazy. Now,
the lazy people, no, you know, you can starve if
you have to. I don't really care. But this goes
to show that they understand what they're doing. They understand
that the pain that is going to go upon these
(25:16):
families when you are now going to have, you know,
let's say a few million several million people who are
now going to go hungry, are going to have to
scramble to try and feed their children. This is one
of those things that it's going to hit home hard.
(25:37):
And there are people out there right now who again
I'm not referring to the lazy people, because the lazy
people who are just on food stamps and not getting
out there and getting a job, you should have gone
up and got a job. There's plenty of them out
there right now. Not in government, but there's plenty of
them out there right now where you can make money,
even if it is going to work at a part
(25:58):
time job here and there to help out a little bit,
do it. But the the single mothers, single fathers, you know,
the the elderly that may be using food stamps as well.
There is that fear now that coming up in a
couple of days when their their food stamps are not
in the snap programs are not refilled, that people are
(26:21):
gonna go hungry and and and worsaw children will end
up going hungry because of the fact that the government
is playing these games. And these are the games that
the Democrats are playing. And she came out, congress Woman
Dipwad Clark, she came out and she said this, this
is the only one of the few leverage things that
(26:42):
we actually have few leverage.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Uh, what's that?
Speaker 4 (26:50):
RICKI now where you live? What where you're not living?
I'm sorry, I just saw something kind of out of
the corner of my eye. Because look, there are some
areas by the way that you know, the states will
actually take up the slack for what is going down,
but it's the federal government aspect that is not going
to be funding these things. In some states are going
to be able to find the funds. But in addition
(27:14):
to being the big problem that you know, we will
have children that will will go hungry. And as it
is right now in this country, we have way too
many children that do go hungry and go to bed hungry.
Every day and go to school hungry every day. And
that's a problem. We need to address that issue. But
now this is an additional manufactured problem. It's a manufacturing
(27:35):
problem that the Democrats are doing. And the Democrats can
very easily just come out and say, all right, we
want to get this this healthcare thing we want. We
want to extend the benefits of Obamacare because we were
too stupid to make it a permanent thing before when
we had all this power. Okay, fine, we got to
get government open, we got to get our military paid,
(27:56):
which again I love that one. Donald Trump comes up
in and come up with a way to pay the military.
And what do the Democrats do? They sue over it.
What the hell's wrong with you people on the left?
I mean, seriously, what is wrong with you people? But
the Democrats could very easily right now just come to
the table and say, all right, look, let's go ahead
(28:17):
and vote to get this thing opened up, under the
conditions that once we vote for it today and we
open things up that tomorrow we sit down and start
to work on this healthcare situation. What is so difficult
about that? Because the situation with the healthcare or with
(28:39):
the Obama insurance, the ACA for extending it can be
dealt with in a standalone bill, a total standalone bill.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
You can do that.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
You can vote today to reopen the government, to make
sure that these families have their SNAP benefits, to make
sure that the elderly at their SNAP benefits, to make
sure that our military is paid, make sure that our
government employees are paid, and get all of this taken
care of, and then tomorrow sit down and fight like
(29:10):
hell for healthcare. I would support that. I mean, I
don't agree with what they want to do with the
healthcare stuff and how they want to extend the the
the ACA benefits and and all these other things that
are that are gonna end up going towards illegals and
people who shouldn't be getting it.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
And that's an argument that we can make tomorrow. We
can sit down tomorrow and we can have this debate
about you know, making sure that you know money is
there to pay all of our employees, and that we
reopen the government and the benefits and the programs and
everything else get back up and running, and then tomorrow
I'm going to fight for healthcare. But this is a
(29:52):
game that these people are playing and they're not very
good at the game either, because it's it's it's almost
like they're playing poker, but they we have the cards
backwards and we can see the cards that they're playing with,
and it's not a good hand. But they continue to
go down the road as if they think they do.
And of course the other problem is again the Republican messaging.
(30:14):
You know, the Republicans never miss the opportunity, to miss
an opportunity, and they are missing the opportunity. What's that
the one hundred and thirty million dollars donated from an
anonymous billionaire to the troops. Yeah. Donald Trump was talking
about that yesterday that he had a friend I'm not
going to say his name that was saying that whatever
(30:37):
backfill that you need for paying the troops, he was
going to give one hundred and thirty million dollars to
make sure that our troops are paid. Now, I would
be careful about that because if you do that and
you donate the money to make sure that our military
is paid. TIMO. Obama, He's going to investigate you, and
so is in fart Boy. They're going to come off.
(30:58):
They're going to investigate you because because how dare you,
How dare you give money to something that Donald Trump
supports and because of the fact that you did that,
we're going to come after you again. Another opportunity that
the Republican Party is missing, and they should be jumping
all over that, like yesterday afternoon and going into the night,
(31:20):
and they should have been on every media outlet that
would allow them to come on, and they should be
out there saying the message. Can you believe what the
Democrats are saying? The Democrats are going to come after
the American people for working with the president who won
the popular vote, the electoral vote, and all of the
(31:40):
swing states. They're going to come after you for working
with you when you make it so that the taxpayers
of America don't have to pay for the latest renovation
of the White House, which, by the way, can we
talk about Obama's renovation costs? How many billions of dollars
Donald Are or Barack Obama had spent on renovations at
(32:03):
the White House. You know who paid for that, taxpayers,
Jacqueline Kennedy when she did everything in the White House.
You know who paid for that. Taxpayers. When we demolished
the West Wing and rebuilt the West Wing, You know
who paid for that, taxpayers? When we built the underground
bunkers and stuff that are going on in the White House,
you know who paid for that, taxpayers. Who's paying for
(32:25):
the construction right now of the new ballroom and the
extension to the East wing private donors. And that's the
worst thing in the world. But again that's the mentality
of the Democrats, because the Democrats can't understand anything that
is not government related. How can this be? How can
people want to actually contribute money to the government for
(32:52):
things that would benefit the American people? Why would they
do that? That's not their role has to do that,
And of course it destroys their narrative too. When private
business is able to say, oh, our troops need to
get paid, not a problem, hang on, let me write
you a check here. All right, there, you go make
(33:12):
sure our troops get paid.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
You can't.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
You can't do that because we need to be able
to come in and say that we're from the government
and we're here to help. And if private enterprises and
private people are helping, then we can't say that we're
here from the government, we're here to help. And then
you have to you have to rely on us because
it's the only way you can survive is if we
the government helps You see, it doesn't look good for
(33:38):
the Democrats for private business to help out the American people.
You're not supposed to do anything government unless government money
is being spent. They don't get it. I can only
imagine how badly their minds are melting down, like sitting
there just trying to comprehend what is going on. And
(33:58):
of course the only way they can do it, to
comprehend and to justify is to say, well, it's because
they they're getting something out of it. With Donald Trump.
Well go look at the list of donors by the
way to the to the East Wing project. First off,
there's actually a couple of cabinet members, cabinet members who
(34:21):
are already on the cabinet with the Donald Trump that
have donated money. What are they going to get out
of it. They've already got a job. It's not like
they're gonna get another job. They're millionaires, billionaire, so they
donate a little bit of money. You look at the
rest of the people, all of the military and contractors,
the government contractors, you know, Apple, Meta and all these
(34:43):
other guys. All of them are donating to this. These
are all people who have made significant money from the government,
So for them to give a kickback to the government,
that's really not that bad of a thing. But the Democrats,
they're going at it, and they should be careful about
(35:04):
that too, because a lot of the people that did
donate to the Donald Trump situation are also people that
would normally donate to Democrat campaigns. And if you're going
to attack them, and if you're going to threaten them, Dems,
you guys aren't doing good on the money anyhow. You
guys are like a third, not even a third, of
what the Republican Party has. You're running out of money.
(35:28):
And for you to go off and now slam and
attack the donors and the American people, the desperation is
getting real. But we also have to remember remind our
fellow citizens of what the Democrats are doing. Don't let
this opportunity pass. And we've got to do everything that
we can to make sure that we let people know
(35:51):
that this is what the Democrats are doing. Correct the
message that is out there. Let them know. All right,
we got to take another quick break. We'll be right back.
Of course, today is read Friday. Remember everyone who's deployed,
especially those deployed not getting paid today, including our Ice
agents and National Guard and other law enforcement people that
are out there, the federal law enforcement people, and of
(36:12):
course all brought to you by our friends at American
Charlie Grill and Tavern. Go check them out on Panama
City Beach, their new menu, new extended hours, and also
booking now for the holiday parties. Hang on, we will
be right back. Good morning, all right, welcome back to
(36:33):
our Friday show, brought to you by our friends at
American Charlie Grill and Tavern. Thank you so much for
making us part of your day right here at the
Florida Man Radio and on Rumble and Wimken, and of
course if you're listening on the podcast as well, which
you can find at the Brian Brushshow dot com, which
by the way, we did not throw a link for
this up at the Brian Rushshow dot com, which I
thought about that to this morning. We did do the
(36:54):
T shirt. The T shirt we were talking about yesterday,
the make call Hanne's Great again that we gotta The
link for it right now is up on my Facebook
page and I guess maybe during the break at the
top of the hour, we'll see if we can't throw
it onto the website as too. I don't know why
I didn't think about it yesterday, but it just slipped
(37:16):
my mind a little bit. But we do have the
the new merch the shirt that we we did up yesterday.
It is the make Cajones Great Again. So it is
available right now. You can you can go get that.
It's actually on Amazon, so you can even you get
what the is you know what, there's something about meta
(37:39):
where when you're sharing a link now it's like it's
setting things in the messager instead of actually going to
the damn link. I don't know what the hell's going
on this insanity, all right, But anyhow, during the break
we will will try and throw that up there on
on the The Brian Rushshow dot com so that you
can you can get it there or just go on
uh on Amazon and look under the brands for the
(37:59):
Brian Us Show and you'll find it. But the link
is right there on on our Facebook page, so go
check that out. And Dean Boy another great shirt. The
GOP never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity, and
that's kind of just a sad statement. It really is.
And I wish that they would would stop, because you know,
you got the left who would never miss an opportunity
(38:21):
or in a crisis, uh you know, to to expand
on that, and you never let a good crisis go
to waste. And the Republicans are never missing, never misses
an opportunity, to miss an opportunity. It's just sad, you know.
Even though Joe Gruders, who's from Florida, is the the
new head of the r n C, and I keep
(38:42):
hearing things that, oh, he's doing a lot of stuff.
Where's the results, where where where is the actions? Where
where's something give us some examples of all of the
the Floridians. I mean, obviously right now, you know, I'm
not a huge fan of Pam Bondi, but there's so
(39:02):
many great Floridians right now that are out there helping
make America such a great place, that they're doing so
much to improve this country and are doing great work.
But there's at least those two. I mean, I'm hoping
for Joe Gruders to do more with the rn C,
(39:24):
to do better than the others. And and some of
the comments that have been made is that that he's
he's uh, he's he's changed a lot of things. One
of the things that they apparently has happened in the
RNC is that they have they've restructured the communication, the
communication part of uh, of the of the r n C.
(39:47):
But I haven't seen anything, you know, we haven't seen
the countering of the messages. Because remember that the people's
minds are very easy to mold. And once you get
somebody's perception to be a certain way, that is their reality.
And it doesn't matter the number of facts that you
present them. It doesn't matter how many times you tell
(40:08):
them later that they're wrong, that you were told something
that was a lie. They will not listen to it.
They will not hear it because they've already made up
their mind. They've already heard something. They've heard it enough,
and that's the only messages they heard. So therefore their
perception becomes their reality. And this is where the Republican
(40:30):
Party misses out with knocking down just the bs that
we get out of the left, like the fact that
Donald Trump is destroying the White House, is destroyed the
whole White House. First off, you know how much it
would take to destroy the entire White House. I mean,
(40:52):
there's a lot to it, but he didn't destroy the
White House. And it is amazing for me to watch
some of these liberals who are responding to it, who
literally think that the entire White House has been leveled
to the ground, that the White House is gone, it's
not even there anymore. And I'm just kind of going,
(41:16):
you know that it was one of the absolute next
to the pool House. It's the smallest portion of the
White House complex that was demolished, the smallest portion. And
even though yes, we know now that it is the
entire West Wing that has been leveled to the ground.
(41:39):
And this is the other one too that I love.
The left is upset because of the fact that Malania
Trump is not upset in speaking out about the demolition
of the East Wing because that's where the First Lady's
offices have been since the Carter administration. The fact that
Malania Trump hasn't spoke out against big, bad evil Donald,
(42:00):
Oh my god, it's just it keeps getting worse and
worse every days. So sad. It's so sad. But again,
if we don't start countering their message, they win. And
with the fact that we have fart Boy and Timo Obama,
who are already saying that we are going to go
(42:21):
after the American people and people who worked with Donald
Trump when we win next year. It's more reason as
to why we need to win the House. All right,
We got to take a break for the top of
the hour. We'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Brand most name, you know, the brand.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Limb up the airways in this one, melting snowflakes were
the fiery half talking truth. You can't always stand fast,
don't show from coast to coast, got the facts, but
(43:06):
it ain't no boast can't give up the change and
give him a toast to the man who roasts the most.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Knock it off, it's rust on me, putting Ridel like
carera scenes, the command of Joe.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
Free frame in the top show silver screen, the first
words that sparked the plane. Nothing never stays the same,
breaking down walls of shame.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
Bryan rust is.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Here, the claim voices, rise a thing and sort through
the sensor to the court.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
All Exisians keep the score.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
For Brian's babbling in this warm knock it off, it's
rust on me putting Ryle like carera scenes.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
The don't don't free ring in the Social silver streams.
Speaker 4 (44:14):
All right, welcome back to down every two of the
Brian Rush Show here at Florida Man Radio and streaming
on Rumble and Wimkin. Thank you so much for checking
us out today. So Trump decided to Canada. You uh
you you made a booboo. So now you're gonna find out.
Donald Trump yesterday made the announcement and an immediate end
to all trade negotiations with Canada. And this time it
(44:37):
was over a commercial. Now I know people are gonna
get out. They're gonna be like, oh my god, that
would sell petty and Donald Trump to do that. It
was just a commercial. It was a commercial which, by
the way, was critical of the tariffs that he has
kind of imposed on Canada, because well, Canada has been
screwing us over so you know what, Hey, it's time
to return the favor. The commercial, which was sponsored by
(45:01):
the Government of Canada with the Canada's Providence of Ontario,
which quoted Trump's predecessor Ronald Reagan, saying that tariff's hurt
every American. Trump wrote on his his Truth social media
that the advertisement was fake and egregious, and adding that
(45:24):
the trade talks are hereby terminated. The Trump administation also
has imposed now thirty five percent tariff on many Canadian imports,
as well as a lot of individual tariffs targeting particular
industryities like cars and steels and manufacturing Ontario which has
been particularly hard hit by a lot of these. And
(45:45):
of course I would love to know what the other
provinces are saying, because this is the whole thing that
was done by Ontario, you know, with the Premier Doug Ford.
At this point, I'm waiting for somebody in the Canadian
the realm up there, to go up and punch doug
Ford in the throat and tell him to stop. Trump
(46:08):
has allowed some of the exceptions on some of the
goods to fall under some of the free trade agreement
that they have with Mexico and Canada that he negotiated
back in Trump one point zero. But the Premiere of Canada,
Mark Carney, has since his election earlier this year, attempted
to strike a deal that would ease some of the
(46:29):
US tariffs. And I'm telling you, Doug Ford, you complicated
things a lot more. And it's been a lot more
complicated by him, who is clearly one of the most
vocal critics of the action that the US government is
taking and he's trying to fight back like a tough guy.
But dude, you're hurting your entire country now. But in
(46:52):
the minute long commercial that got published last week, you
could hear Ronald Reagan's voice being heard narrating over images
that include the New York Stock Exchange and cranes adorned
with the US and Canadian flags. The video basically takes
an excerpt out of the nineteen eighty seven national radio
address that Reagan did that focused on foreign trade. And
(47:15):
he said in the ad and in the speech that
when someone says, let's impose terraffs on foreign imports, it
looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American
products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while it works,
but only for a short, short term. And they also
use the line that but over a long run, such
trade barriers hurt every American worker and consumer, And in
(47:39):
it also says that high terrafts inevitably lead to retaliation
by foreign countries and triggering of fierce trade wars. Markets
shrink and collapse, business and industries shut down, and millions
of people lose their jobs. Well, here's the thing, and
I've said this from the beginning when it comes to
the tariffs, is that, yeah, if you do the terrafs wrong,
it's going to backfire. It's not going to be a
(48:01):
good thing. The way that Donald Trump has done it, though,
has been very different and has been what's that word again,
we haven't heard this in a while. Oh yeah, successful.
It's been successful in how he's been able to do this.
And sure there are some things that have heard a
little bit. There's still a few products that are a
little bit higher than we would like them to be.
(48:22):
But eventually it will come down. And the thing is
is that here in America we can make most of
the stuff that we need. We don't completely do it,
yet we can be doing it. We don't need to
be relying on so many of these other countries for
these products. But there's so many countries that actually rely
on us in our products. So like with Canada, where
(48:47):
they're hitting us with tear us of you know, two
hundred three hundred percent on things. This is just not
something that's going to work out well for Canada. But
once again, Donald Trump has said that all trade negotiations
with Canada are are stopping. We're terminating him effective immediately.
And this is not going to be good for Canada
because Canada's economy right now is tanking. I don't know,
(49:08):
if you saw the Canadian dollar the other day, what
is it worth now? About twenty five cents American? I mean,
it's tanking. And this is not the way that Canada
is going to revive itself by continuing to poke fun
and fight with Donald Trump and the people of Ontario. Granted,
Ontario is a little bit more on the liberal side
(49:28):
than conservative. You guys might want to be sending some
messages out there to your premiere and telling him to
shut the f up. Maybe what he needs to do
is stuff his faced with more food and stop talking
because it's not doing well for him whatsoever. And of course,
this is also the same guy who threatened America by
(49:50):
saying he would cut off our energy. By the way,
do you know how many Canadian businesses are leaving Canada
and coming to the US because of the tariffs. It's
hurting Canada even more. It's not hurting America, it's hurting Canada.
And I love it too. When when you get people
like Doug Ford that comes out and they're like, well,
you know, we just don't need the American products. We
(50:13):
got our Where are you guys going where?
Speaker 6 (50:15):
Why?
Speaker 4 (50:16):
Why are the Canadian products leaving and going to America
because they need America, But we need you guys because
we don't need We're in trouble. Doug Ford better learned
to zip his trap, because otherwise it's gonna find himself
in some big time trouble. So here's another thing that
I just this whole Zell run Mama Donni thing. It's
(50:39):
just it's it's killing me when he gets out there
and talks about all his his utopian universe and all
the great things that he's going to do with the
city of New York, and all of it, of course
being paid for by the wealthy who are going to
be leaving New York City as if the place is
on fire, which it probably will be for much longer.
We talked about the bus thing earlier, where his solution
(51:01):
to solving the violent crime that is going on on
the buses is to make them free. One of the
dumbest statements that I've heard him say. It really is.
It's one of the many dumbest things that I've heard
him say. And he's done a lot of them. And
of course the other clap back that people are giving
(51:22):
on the whole free bus thing is that at least
it will help the homelessness situation because people will be
able to live on the buses for free. But the
communist mayor old candidate, and I wish they had stopped
saying socialist because he's not a socialist. This is a
straight up communist. He now wants mental health experts to
lead the way in responding to certain crisises. This is
(51:45):
what he said Wednesday night during the debate, which, by
the way, was an absolute disaster, absolute disaster. One of
the debate questioners had asked all of the candidates, which
included Mamadanni, Andrew Cuomo, and and Curtis Sliwall, if you
would ask Police Commissioner Jessica whatever the hell her name
(52:06):
is there to stay on as police commissioner, and Mama
Donnie had said that he would ask her to stay
and stated that his administration would be relentless in its
pursuit on safety and affordability for every New Yorker. And
I love it when politicians got to do that. They've
always got to have those buzzwords that they throw in
there exactly how is responding to would you keep the
(52:30):
New York City Police Police Commissioner on if you are elected?
Does affordability throw into that? For New Yorkers? The answer
to that question is yes or no. But they've got
to throw in that affordability because that's a buzzword that
the low information voters need to hear. They need to
(52:51):
hear affordability. And the more that they hear Mama Donnie
say affordability, the more that hopefully they will be like,
oh my god when it comes to things being too
afford not affordable. You know, we need to have Mammadanni
because he's going to make it affordable. What about the
police making sure that they they're there to protect you, Well, yeah,
because it's going to be affordable. But he also went
(53:13):
on to say, and to deliver on that will require
us to put together a team of the best and
the brightest. And Eric Adams stacked the upper echelons of
the New York a PD with corruption and incompetence. Commissioner
Tish took on a broken status quos started to deliver accountability,
(53:36):
rooting out corruption and reducing crime across the five boroughs,
and he said that this is Mammadanni saying this. He
said that I have said time and time again that
my litmus test for that position will be excellence and
the alignment will be for that position, and I'm confident
that under a Mammadani administration, we would continue to deliver
(53:58):
on the same mission, explaining that he would do so
by creating the Department of Community Safety. You know, in
the leftist way, I got to have another department. But
he said that the Department of Community Safety would be
created to ensure that mental health experts were the ones
responding to mental health crisises, because safety and justice is
(54:22):
at the cornerstone of our pursuit of public safety, and
in doing so, we will also be able to deliver
on our agenda for affordability. Of course, in the past,
Abamadani has also talked about how he is against sending
police in on domestic dispute calls, and he during a
(54:43):
cross cultural conversation segment you know on a podcast that
he did back in twenty twenty, he had said that
police do not create safety. There are so many responsibilities
we're given to the police that frankly should not have
anything to do with their department. If somebody is jaywalking,
if somebody is surviving going through domestic violence, there are
(55:07):
so many different different situations that would be far better
handled by people training to deal with those specific situations
as opposed to an individual with a gun. I w
don't know if anybody wants to remind Mamma Donnie. Was
it last year that it happened the social workers that
were responding to a domestic violence situation? Or no, it
(55:31):
wasn't a social workers. It was the police. The police
that were responding to a domestic violence situation and were
shot and killed. Anybody want to ask Mama Donni the
question about that one? And again it's this whole leftist
idea about how, oh, can't we just talk about this?
(55:52):
Excuse me, Sarah, can you stop beating your wife for
just two minutes? The wee can sit down and talk. Yes, hi, hi,
I'm from the Department of Community Safety and I have
a degree in mental health and I think that you're crazy?
Can we talk? How do you think that's gonna work
out for these mental health experts? These mental health experts
(56:15):
are gonna either one get their butts kicked badly or
two gonna get killed. When you have somebody who is
trained to take down a violent person, who is trained
to shoot somebody if necessary, is the ideal person to
(56:36):
take care of a violent situation. Do you really think, hey,
can we have a conversation? Is gonna work When the
people trained to go in and take down those situations
they're being shot. How do you think it's gonna work
out when you want to just have a conversation. Yes, sir,
I brought some tea and some biscuits, and I was
(56:57):
just wondering if maybe we could sit down and talk
this out.
Speaker 6 (57:00):
I mean, what.
Speaker 4 (57:02):
Makes you want to hit your wife? Oh, because she
didn't make you a sandwich?
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (57:08):
Would you like me to door dash one for you?
I can door dash one for you. I mean, how
is this gonna work out? I mean sure, not every
domestic violence situation is really all that violent. And sometimes
it is just nothing but an argument, maybe something being
thrown around a little bit, and you know, a shove
(57:31):
here and there, maybe somebody gets slapped. Yeah, there's a
lot of that, but there's also things that are way
more violent. And which would you rather do? Would you
rather have the police officers show up to a situation
where the two of them are just arguing about something
and they just go, you guys need to work to
you know what. Hang on a second, Yeah, can you.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Send in the uh?
Speaker 4 (57:53):
Can you send in the counselor to come in these two?
They need to have somebody sit down and talk with them.
All right, we're out, and then the council looking can
come in and be like, Hi, guys, I'm from the
Department of Community Safety. Let's talk. But when you show
up in a boyfriend or a husband or wife, I mean,
let's be fair on it. You know it is out
(58:13):
there violently with a knife or a gun. Do you
think that the conversation is going to stop that? You're
a special kind of stupid and delusional if you do
think that's the case. But this is the way. You're right.
I was building up to an F bomb, and I've
to try to stay away from it. I've been told
that I cussed too much, so I'm trying to try
(58:34):
to ring it in a little bit and be a
good boy, which is hard for me, but I'm trying
doing my best. But just imagine the disaster that that
will be. And when you trim the police department, because
you don't need them to show up to things like
domestic violence situations or jaywalking or whatever else, and all
(58:54):
of a sudden you realize, oh my god, we have
we have these these violent people that are coming in
and they're they're killing our social workers. What do we do?
Oh my goodness, But what you should do is what
you shouldn't have done, is what you didn't to begin with.
But Mama, Donnie, he's going to destroy New York. He's
(59:17):
absolutely going to destroy New York. Now, whether or not
it's one of these things where it's an intentional thing,
which I think a lot of it is, or he's
just really seriously that incompetent, and I think it's a
little of both. But there's a lot of danger with
this guy. And I really hope the New York City
wakes up and you know that there's there's people like
(59:38):
the Democrat Party who woke up to the last minute
and we're like, oh god, this is this is not
the guy that we should have as our candidate. But
it's too late now. Free buses, free grocery stores, rent control,
no comps, go into domestic situations. I hear disaster coming
(01:00:01):
down the pike. I really do all right, Today is
a Red Friday. Well, remember everyone who is deployed, including
all of our law enforcements deployed across the country into
cities that need their help, and of course our military
that is deployed around the world and the country. We
do appreciate everything that you do. Sponsored today by American
Charlie Grilla Tavern. Don't forget they are booking now for
your holiday parties. Don't wait till the last minute for
(01:00:23):
a holiday party. Give them a call right now and
reserve one of their rooms for your holiday party at
American Charlie. Hang on, we gotta take a break. We'll
be right back. This is the Brian Rush Show. Good morning,
(01:00:47):

the next hour the show, The Doster Boys gonna be joining.
Guess we'll have our great conversation, a lot of Florida stuff.
There's some new things with the the property tax. We'll
(01:01:33):
talk about that coming up as well later on this
morning with with the Doster Boys in the bottom of
the next hour. In the meantime, Governor Pritzker over there
in Illinois continuing to open his big fat trap, and
boy is he putting his foot into it. He He
was on Fox News with Special Port with Brett Bahar
(01:01:53):
yesterday and during this he was commented on two cases
of illegal immigrants that were charged with a murder, one
of which was reportedly arrested in Chicago but released after
there was an ice detainer that was ignored by a judge,
and saying that maybe the wrong decision to do so,
(01:02:13):
but to pick up out of the situation of one immigrant,
I bet you find us citizens all across the country
who commit crimes, who also get out and then they
do something bad.
Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
So I love this.
Speaker 4 (01:02:26):
This is the justification that Pritzker has. So you have
an illegal immigrant who is in your country illegally. Now,
in any other country in the world, if they catch
you in their country illegally, you're going to jail or
in some cases worse here in the United States, I
(01:02:51):
guess if you're here illegally and you commit a crime,
and you should be let out too, because Americans citizens
are let out and they go off to do other
bad things. Well, Prisker, that is kind of part of
the point that we keep making to you. We keep
making that very exact same point to you that our
(01:03:14):
justice system lets out the bad guys all the time.
Look at this piece of crab human being over there
in North Carolina who was charged what was at thirty
four different crimes or twenty nine something different crimes. Should
not have been out on the streets, should have been
locked up, and he wasn't. And because of that we
have a young woman who is dead because of that. So, yeah,
(01:03:38):
that same rule should apply to American citizens too, And
we on the right bring that up all the time,
that our justice system allows too many of the wrong
people to be roaming around. But Brett Bartt asked, do
you believe any illegal immigrant charged with or convicted of
a felony should be deported. And I love this because
he's dancing such a fine line on things. And he
(01:04:00):
said that I think they ought to take the violent
criminals and get them out of my state and get
them out of the country. I absolutely believe that. But
that's not what they're doing. They said, they're going after
the worst of the worst. And Brett Bear cut him
off and chimed in on this and said, but you
don't want to help them. You don't want to help
them because you're a sanctuary state, right, And Prixstuger responded
(01:04:24):
by saying, no, we do. If you bring us judicial warrant,
we will bring you all kinds of help on the
ground to get the bad guys. That's what we want.
We want the bad guys off the streets. What we
don't want is for people to get racially profiled. That's
what's happening now. Brett Bear chimed in again, saying that
(01:04:46):
earlier this year, Chicago police charged two illegal aliens with
felony murder of the killing of a sixty three year
old man who was found tied up in his home.
They were from Ecuador and Venezuela. Both were caught and
released at the Texas bordered by the Biden administration of
twenty twenty three. One of the suspects was in custody
(01:05:06):
had been arrested in Chicago on January twelfth for trying
to lure children, but was released into the community with
ICE's detator request ignored due to sanctuary policy. Like when
somebody looks at that and says, that can't be a
good thing. So basically, what Brent Bair just said is, hey,
(01:05:29):
one of the guys did have the paperwork the stuff
to say, hey, you're coming with us, And Prinzker said,
oh yeah, well, you know, we will collaborate when you
bring us the right paperwork and you don't just racially profile.
Keep in mind too, that the Trump administration had said
from the very beginning that the way that we want
(01:05:49):
to do this is we want to go into the jails.
We want to get them out of there and not
have to hunt them down in the streets so that
you don't have this problem. But he continued on and
he he basically just put his foot in his big
fat mouth about that, and he got caught. He got
caught screwing that up. Yeah, but American citizens can do it.
(01:06:11):
They can get out just messed up. This is what
we've been telling you, This is what we want to
get rid of. We want to get rid of this
type of behavior, this type of person. All right, we
got to take a break for our bottom of the hour.
We'll be right back just a minute. This is the
Brian Rust Show. Good morning, all right, welcome back to
(01:06:50):
the Brian Rush Show here on Florida Man Radio and
on a Rumbland wimkin happy Friday. We have made it
to that weekend, and why not continue a little bit
of comedy. And with this comedy, we got to look
at Pricksker and I know I do say his name wrong,
and I add that the emphasis on the prick Prickster.
(01:07:15):
He said something that, again, do you pay attention to
the words that are coming on in your mouth sometimes?
During the big interview that he had yesterday on Special
Report on Fox News with Brett Beear, Brett Beard asked
him the question of what is the best thing that
President Trump has done since being in office? Hey, on
(01:07:35):
a second, I'm sorry I had to sneeze. Allergies, man,
there are the pollen, right now I don't know what
the weather thing is saying, but it's bad anyhow, Brett
Behartt asked what is the best thing that President Trump
has done since being in office, and Prick Sker had
responded by saying, Look, one thing I can say is
(01:07:56):
that I ask President Biden and I wrote a very
public letter to deal with some of the problems at
the border. And we're seeing tens of thousands of people
being sent by Governor Abbott to Chicago, and we're getting
any help really from the federal government. Here's what I
would say, since President Trump has taken office, we don't
(01:08:18):
have the problem that existed before the people before with
the people coming across the border. Did you just admit
that Donald Trump was right? Billsbury doughboy, did you really
just come out and be like, well, you know, says
Donald Trump took office, all that border problem seems to
(01:08:41):
have kind of gone away. It's pretty amazing. So do
you still need to be a sanctuary state? Do you
still need to take care of these people? The formula
a problem here? But he goes on to say what
I would suggest, though, is that there's one more thing
he could have done. He took control of Congress, he's
(01:09:04):
got control of the judiciary, he's got control of the
White House. He could have proposed comprehensive immigration reform and
gotten it passed. He could have done that. He hasn't
done that. And why why does he want to send
troops in? Why does he want to send ice and
CBP in? Why not get immigration reform in place that
(01:09:27):
we can all rally around. Look, I like that we
have borders. We need borders, right, No, your party says
we don't need borders. Somebody for will somebody get him
the Democrat talking points? Just email it over to them.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
He's got to read it.
Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
He's off base, all right, We're gonna get him the
talking points so he can get back on track with
what the Democrats actually think because he fell off the rails.
Which when he fell off the rails, that probably hit
a Richter scale as well. But he goes on to
say that, you know, we need borders if you don't
have a country, if you don't have a border. But
(01:10:07):
let's deal with immigration with an actual bill that Democrats
and Republicans can rally around. We've seen it before, it's
been done before, but it's been forty years. Let's finally
do it. Fat boy, Listen, you're kind of you're kind
of on board here, Like you've got one foot into
(01:10:29):
the bathtub and the other one is still sitting on
the outside eating twinkies. But you got to get the
other foot in. You got to understand what's going on here.
The American people, the number one and two things that
they said that they were upset about with the Biden
administration of why they wanted to go with Donald Trump,
why they wanted something different was because of border and
(01:10:50):
the economy. Now we won't talk about the economy right
now because we're talking about border stuff. It's not that
they just simply wanted the border closed. They wanted the
border clothes. They wanted our the the the country to
be safe. We have seen the violence that is coming
(01:11:11):
from so many of these illegals. We are seeing all
the money, our tax payer money that is going into
all of these illegals that we the people have to pay.
And the majority of America, and this is one of
the few things that the majority of America agreed upon,
was that this is bad and we need to stop it.
So the idea now of just turning around and going, well,
(01:11:33):
you know, we closed the border, and you know, no
more people are coming in, So why don't we just
make it so the people that are here already, we'll
just we'll give them a free pass, and we'll just
make them Americans, because while they're already here so many things.
I'm like, I'm trying to to make sure that I'm
(01:11:54):
not living in one of these moments. What do they
they call it when things are not the oh crap,
what's the word? Hang on, I'll get it there. The
the effect where you thought something was happening kind of
like a thought in my head right now, but it
actually Wasn't you know what I'm talking about? Like we
always grew up thinking that a certain commercial was a
certain way and then come to find out it's not,
(01:12:16):
or they've changed it or whatever. I forget what that
effect is called, but anyhow, that's kind of what I'm
feeling right now, because I swear to God that Pricksker,
like a minute ago, was yelling and hollering about coming
in and taking all the bad guys out of here,
and then he says, Okay, yeah, we do need to
get the bad guys out of here, but then we
(01:12:36):
need the bad guys need to just be made citizens.
We need to come up with some sort of reform
to give them citizen I'm confused, Fatty. Too much going
on right there. You need to slow down, eat the
appetizer first. Don't go with the entire encore, you know,
or entree right away. You got to relax and slow
it down there. Clinton is the only Democrat that wanted
(01:13:02):
to close border. Yeah, and you know, I think that
pricksker at this point. You know, he's not a dumb man,
he really isn't. I mean, he's a billionaire, so he's
he's obviously smart. He obviously has some intelligence in there.
But it again is one of these things where politicians
(01:13:26):
they just cave into the people and and you know this,
this is the thing when it comes to politics and politicians.
And I've said this before to some politicians, and I've
talked about it as well, that we do need to
make sure that our politicians understand that they are representative government,
that they represent the desires and the needs and the
wants that we the people have. What we want to
have done is what they're supposed to do. But I
(01:13:48):
also do believe that there is a role that politicians
should play because look, as as much as we look
at something and say this would be a great idea,
it's not always a great idea, and there's there's sometimes
multiple reasons as to why that's not a good idea,
And sometimes you need the person who knows better, who
(01:14:11):
knows the details behind something and knows why it's a
bad idea to speak up and say I hear what
you're saying, but hear me out for a second. And
this is one of the problems that we have with
so many of our politicians, and especially I think right
now in the Democrat side, because I'm not going to
say that the entire Democrat Party is this stupid, and
(01:14:33):
I think that Pricksker actually is one of them that
is not this stupid. But he's falling into the trap
of well, whatever the base says, we've got to do
what the base says, and then whatever the party is
telling me, we got to do this because if I
don't get re elected. But you know what, if you
f up the situation entirely, if you make life miserable,
and if you if you if you you do things
(01:14:55):
that create bad situations, it doesn't matter. And some some times,
when we the people look at our government and say, hey,
we want to have open borders, and we want to
make sure that all of these people that come flowing
in here that we take care of them. We need
our politicians to say, oh, hang on a second, all right,
(01:15:17):
I hear what you're saying, but hear me out. That's
a really bad idea. And here's why it's a bad
idea because despite the fact that we are a representative government,
or supposed to be anyhow, there are things that our
representatives know better than we do, and sometimes they need
(01:15:39):
to speak up and make the case, make the case,
and they don't do it. Instead, they stumble and they fall,
and then you get Pricksker in a situation like this
where he has been out on the rallies with the
base being anti ice and anti deportation and anti closing
(01:16:01):
the border and anti Trump and all this other stuff.
But then he turns around and he's like, well, yeah, actually,
you know what, Trump did a really good job in
closing the border, and it was exactly what we needed
to do. And you know, now what we need to
do is it's like, hello, you were just saying completely
the opposite. It's like, get it together. And you know what,
sometimes some people just need to hear the truth, and
(01:16:23):
Democrats and Republicans alike, sometimes you need to be told, ah,
that's not a good idea. And here's why. Because I
talked to Republicans all the time, obviously, and I hear
from some people who come up with an idea that
governments should do this, and almost in the democrat utopian world,
(01:16:45):
that sounds good on paper, but there's a reality behind
that that you can't do certain things, or you can't
do it in that particular way. That's just like this
whole thing with the property taxes. This is one of
these things where as a property owner, I don't want
to pay property taxes, or at least I don't want
to pay as much as we do pay. But I
(01:17:06):
do have this this question, and it's one of these
things that doesn't get brought up because you know everybody
that you ask. I think, for the most part, when
you go, hey, do you want to have property taxes,
I think most people are going to say no. I mean,
unless you don't have property and you want the people
who have property to pay more taxes than maybe you
might be. But any property owner is not going to
say yes, I want some property taxes, Please tax me
(01:17:29):
some more. I want to make sure that I have taxes,
because that's I can't go to bed at night unless
I've got taxes. But I've even brought this up that
when you look at the getting rid of the property
tax situation, again kind of for it. But the question
is where does the money come from to do certain
(01:17:52):
things that we need to do, because we've also as
a society become way too reliant on state slash federal
government to pay for a lot of things. And then
there is the aspect of how property taxes specifically help
the local community with giving them funds to do stuff.
(01:18:14):
So what happens when a community that has a lot
of residents but don't have a lot of businesses, so
therefore there's not really a sales tax that they can collect.
Now they don't have the ability to raise funds to
replace the fire truck in the town or to do
some of the things that are needed to be done.
Where does the money come from? And of course one
(01:18:35):
of the things that was said was, well, you know,
the state will make sure that that moneies are distributed right,
hold on time out a second. You want to tell
me that in the state of Florida. We now want
to become a state where we redistribute the wealth. So
if just because Panama City Beach brings in a lot
of sales tax revenue, does that mean the money should
(01:18:57):
be taken away from them and given to some small
town that doesn't have any businesses. That's not fair, is it.
So there's a lot of things that are not thought
about and talked about. Instead they jump right out there.
And again this is the problem when you when you
throw something out there that is on the surface a
great idea, the great idea going, oh, get rid of
(01:19:19):
the property, Jack, Absolutely, but you got to think about
where does it come from. Because the other problem that
we have in choes I know you just pointed this
out a little bit, you said it in the chat,
whether that we Florida does get billions from sales tax,
which is great, you can make it up in sales tax.
But again there is the question of why is it
that in Panama City Beach, or in Fort Walton Beach,
(01:19:41):
or you know, you know Orlando, or are these other
places that bring a lot of money in why is
it the money gets taken away from them and given
to other people. So there's a conflict right there. Why
is that fair? It's it's our money. Why is it
being given to somebody else? But then you've got the
other peop pole who said no, let's get rid of
(01:20:01):
the sales tax too. Look, we all hate taxes, we
all hate the taxes, but there is again a reality
when it comes to taxes that they are needed to
be able to pay for a lot of the services
that we rely on today. And that just straight up
sucks in every fashion because look, we had a point
(01:20:23):
in time where we didn't have all of these taxes
and the country was still able to function and manage
and do well. Can we reduce taxes and survive? Absolutely,
you look at the amount of wasted money that the
government does, so yes, giving them less money to spend
(01:20:43):
ideal one hundred percent. But again, the other problem is
we need to have politicians and leaders who understand that
you can't just be blowing money all the time. Like
construction projects, you know, construction projects need to be looked
at and said, okay, we need to do this efficiently.
And every time that I watch a construction project, I
(01:21:04):
always kind of look at something and go why are
we building something? Doing something? And then tearing it up
to build something again and fix it. You see that
all the time in construction projects. It's like, can't you
get your act together and get everything? And I understand
that every now and then something would happen, you know,
a pipe breaks, or you know there's a little bit
(01:21:24):
of a flaw with something and you kind of have
to redo it. I get it. But you see that
with so many projects, and you see these projects that
go on forever that cost millions of dollars that probably
shouldn't because you also see similar projects get done with
less money, on time and under budget. So it's a
(01:21:46):
dangerous road for us to go down when it comes
to let's just not think things out and be honest
with the people, because you have to be honest with
the people, and people are gonna get upset. So you
got to watch out. What's that Politicians want to limit
people's discretionary spending exactly they do. That's what they do
(01:22:07):
all the time. You don't, look, you don't understand how
to spend your But that's like, I think the one
and only area where I think government does do this
where they actually will tell you something. Look, you don't understand, Listen, peasants.
Just give me your money. You know how to spend that.
I'll show you how to spend it. But the government
does need to talk to people and be like, hey, yeah,
(01:22:29):
I know this is a great idea, but just saying,
all right, it is a Red Friday, brought to you
by our friends at American Charlie Grill and Tavern. Remember
everyone who was deployed across the country and across the world,
whether it be our military or it be our federal
law enforcement, we remember you, guys and thank you for
what you're doing, especially now that you're not even getting paid.
We got to take a quick break. We'll be right back.
This is the Brian Rush Show. All right, Welcome back
(01:23:12):
to the Brian Rush Show here on Florida Man Radio.
What's that breaking said? It blocks Republican bill to pay
federal workers during shutdown with only three Democrats voting yes.
Not a surprise, Not a surprise. You know what, keep
pissing off the government workers to see how many of
them want to vote Democrat coming up next year. Maybe
(01:23:33):
this whole thing will work out. You know, something that
doesn't work out very well, by the way, and you know,
for those that have listened to the show for long enough. Technically,
I am not the most technically inclined person. I hate computers.
I hate a lot of our technology. It drives me crazy.
I got a new phone, and you remember this phone
fiasco that I had, and I ended up getting the
(01:23:56):
What did I get? I got the Pixel something the
Google picks, And you know, I am an Android person.
I'm not a Damn I gotta put this down. It's
gonna take me off. I'm not an Android person. I
don't do the iPhone thing, and I don't know what
it is, and I don't know who who thought this
was a brilliant idea. But if you haven't noticed the
(01:24:16):
new Google platform or the Android platform, whether it is
on a Samsung or the Google Pixel or whatever it
might be, it's like now trying to be a wanna
be iPhone but not as good as an iPhone, and
it's worse than regular Android. And this is the thing
(01:24:38):
technology people People go with Android or Apple because they
like that platform, and now apparently Apple is becoming more
Android like than it was before. So it's like, why
why do you do this? And I'm asking on behalf
of all the American people, especially those like me that
(01:25:00):
just cannot figure the day. I still, this thing is
supposed to do all kinds of stuff I have known.
It even looks like an iPhone. It's got all the
iPhone shapes to it. It does some Iphony kind of things.
But you can't do a damn thing with it. You
really can't. So I don't understand. I hate Apple. I
have an iPad that I use for flying. I don't
know how to use that damn thing either. I know
(01:25:21):
how to use the app that is in it, and
that is it. Other than that, forget it. I had
an iPhone at one point with my other job, and
I used to have to go in and like every day,
I would walk out of my office and find the
youngest person on staff and go here, fix this. And
they're like, what did you do now too with Grandpa?
And I'm like, I don't know. It doesn't work. The
(01:25:42):
thing is stupid. Fix it and they take the phone
and they and they fix it. My Android phone never
had any problems. Right now, I'm trying to do a
simple little thing, organize my phone because I had to
have it organized, and I'm trying to move a photo
from one on one phone into another Now I've already
(01:26:02):
created the folder, just like I always did with with Android.
Created the new folder, already put some pictures in it.
Now I go to another folder where there's a picture
in it that I want to move over to that
folder so that it's all organized with that type of
photos in it, and this photo in this folder. I
can put it in any of the other folders. But
the folder that I want to put it in doesn't
(01:26:23):
even show up as an option. So I'm like, what
the hell. I go back to my list of folders
in my photo thing. Well, there it is, there's photos
in it. It's there, it's existing. Let's go back to
the other fold This is almost like dealing with the Authenticator.
And I'm telling you, I have never wanted to be
violent towards anybody, like seriously violent towards anybody, except for
(01:26:44):
whoever it is that created and authorized the use of
the Microsoft Authenticator. That is the thing that I want
to take the creator of the Microsoft Authenticator and anybody
who says that this is what we need to have
for security on our phones and devices and stuff and
throw them off a building. Like I still have problems
(01:27:07):
with the authenticator where I have to I literally have
to authenticate something to get into it. But I need
the authenticator to authenticate with the authenticator, and I can't
get the authenticator to authenticate the authenticator so that I
can authenticate what it is I'm trying to get into
and use like one of my emails without the authenticator
(01:27:29):
authenticating it, which you can't do if you can't authenticate
the authenticator with the authenticator that you need the authenticator
to authenticate. Who the hell came up with this idea? Seriously, Microsoft,
whoever it is, give them to me. I want them.
I want them, and I want to throw them off
of a building. I really do. There's a simple solution
(01:27:50):
to all of this. You make a law and you
enforce the law. If you hack into somebody else's computer,
you hack into all this other stuff. We have your
hands off.
Speaker 2 (01:28:01):
Simple solution.
Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
Now we can get into our phones and email. I'm
just saying, we gotta take a break. We'll be back.
Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
Brian Rust's name, you know the brand.
Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
Limbing up the airways in this one, melting snow face with.
Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
The fiery head talking truth. You can't always stand.
Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
Fast show From Coast to Coast got the facts, but
it ain't no boast. Can't give up the change and
give it thost to the man who roasts the most.
Speaker 2 (01:28:50):
Knock it off, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
Rust on me ut In Lilack, Care of Scenes, did
you mind?
Speaker 2 (01:28:57):
No, don't free pray?
Speaker 1 (01:28:59):
In the Salt Show, Silver Street, So schworts that stuck
the plan. Nothing never stays the same, breaking down, Lads
of Shame.
Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
Ryan must is here, claim.
Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Boy said, rise of thing, and so through the sensor
to the core. Alla Sistians, keep the score. Crian's babbling
in this war knocking off its rough. Shold me funny, Ryan,
Care of Saints, Did you mind don't don't free free?
Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
In the Saw Show Silver Street?
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
All right, welcome back down number three of the show.
I lost the picture. I can't find the folder that
I put it in now. I saw him trying to
move the photo and it said he had moved it.
I'm like, where'd you move it to? Just gotta put
the phone down. Just don't because I know what's gonna
happen is my blood pressure is gonna go up. I'm
gonna yell at this stupid phone. I'm gonna want to
throw it across the I'm just just leave it alone,
(01:30:14):
Just leave alone. I've got a couple of younger people
that work for me at the at the aviation company.
They're smarter than me when it comes to this stuff.
I'm just gonna bring it to them and say, here,
do this. I think I think this is a cruel joke.
I honestly do. I think that the the the younger generation.
I'm not to be so old when I say this too.
(01:30:35):
The damn kids are out to get us, the damn
little whipper snappers. I honestly think that the younger generation
was like, here, let's let's let's watch grandpa mess up
with this thing. Let's watch the older crowd and not
be able to handle it. Yeah, you want to tell
us that, you know, you'll do everything incursive here, try
and find your photos and your phone. That's just like
(01:30:56):
with Microsoft. And I think Microsoft is an evil company.
I really straight up evil company in so many ways.
But another reason for why I think they're so evil.
You remember when Microsoft came out with the I think
it was Microsoft ten. I think, what are we on now,
three hundred or something. But when Microsoft ten, I believe
it was that came out. It was when they changed
(01:31:17):
not only you know, the web browsers and stuff. They
changed Microsoft Office, they changed PowerPoint, they changed Excel, they
changed all of this stuff. And the big selling point
what behind it was that it was user friendly. This
was what how many years ago? Were ten, fifteen years
(01:31:37):
ago or whatever it was that that Microsoft came out
with that one. I still can't figure the damn stuff out.
I really can't like. And it's gotten to a point
now too, where you remember when you used to know
how to do things on Excel. You know, you knew
how to set up a spreadsheet, you knew how to
set up the rules to do what you wanted to do.
(01:31:58):
Now you have to buy like they've got the cheat
sheet stuff that you can do, because nothing makes any
damn sense. Hey, I want to copy and paste. Oh,
it won't let me do. What the world? It's just
is it eleven right now? It wasn't ten, That was
the message. It hasn't been that long since. I don't
know either way, I'm so over technology. They keep trying
(01:32:20):
to say they're making it user friendly, but I'm like,
who's the user that this is friendly for? I don't
get it. You know what, maybe this is why I
need kids? And at this point I think I need
to adopt a kid that is at least five or
six years old so that I can get technology taken
(01:32:41):
care of. So I'll have my in house it. I'd
be like, hey, kid, come in here, all right, fix
Dad's phone for me, will you?
Speaker 3 (01:32:48):
What you do?
Speaker 4 (01:32:49):
Dad? I moved a picture? Oh God give me that.
It's the story of my life when it comes to
my phone. And it's so funny because when I'm when
I'm at work and in the office and I start
to get angry about something, I actually have a few
employees that will look at me and say, dude, put
your phone away. And I'm like what. They're like, you're
you're messing with your phone. It's getting you upset. Put
(01:33:11):
your phone away. I'm like fine. So they even know
that at this point, the phone will get me all
angry about something. And even when I'm sitting there trying
to do something on the computer and they'll be like, dude,
walk away from it. Just what do you do You
need help now?
Speaker 1 (01:33:26):
Dad?
Speaker 4 (01:33:27):
Yes? I do. I need some help. But here's some
good news. Even though I've actually pretty much stopped drinking
a lot of soda because well, it's just not good
for you. And working on that that slender winter bod,
which I gotta say, I'm proud of myself. I've lost
in the past two weeks of us like ten pounds,
which is great because now I'm not even gonna get
(01:33:47):
your point. I'm not gonna be able to call myself
fat boy anymore. But I'm working on it. I got
a goal. I got like three or four more pounds
to go before I get down under the weight that
I need that I want to be for my goal
number one. So I've cut out soda. But now I'm
a little upset about this one because I'm a big
Coca Cola fan. I love a good Coca Cola, and
(01:34:08):
you know that with all this this process sugar stuff
and the fake stuff and the fruit toast syrup and
all this other crap that's in it, it just has
not been good in a very very long time. And
there was for a while there that, you know, you
could still even get it in the green glass bottle.
And I wish that there was a scientific study on this.
I wish that there were some scientists that would do
(01:34:29):
a study. Why is it that even coca cola in
the craptastic form that it is in right now. As
long as it's in a green glass bottle, it tastes better.
It just tastes better in a green glass bottle root beer.
I'm I'm a big fanatic for you know, Alwa's got
(01:34:50):
great root beer. By the way, is McGuire's. McGuire's that's
in Panama City and Fort Walton Beach and over in
Pensacola because they brew their room beer right in house.
I and and by the way, be careful what you
order with that, because I ordered the what is it?
The It was the big glass and the thing showed
(01:35:10):
up and it was like a foot tall. I looked
at that. I'm like, that's more root beer than I
drink in a year. Would you like a straw? Yes? Please?
Two of them? Actually, But anyway, what's this saying? Oh,
the green glass bottle. I think that there should be
a study into why it is a green glass bottle.
Coca Cola tastes better, no matter what. But then you
(01:35:31):
turn around and you do the the green glass bottle
of coca cola from Mexico where they actually have sugarcane
in it instead of all of this this other stuff,
and oh my god, it is just so good. It's
it's that Coca Cola that you remember as a child,
and you're just like, oh God, this is leave me alone.
(01:35:54):
I'm having a moment. I need this Coca Cola, like
the other day where I went to Diego's the other
day for dinner with some friends and I ended up
getting two of the Mexican cokes because they're just so good.
They taste good.
Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
Well.
Speaker 4 (01:36:09):
Now, Coca Cola, thanks to Donald Trump, has decided that
they are going to be moving to sugarcane, so now
here in the United States we're going to be which
I guess is a bad thing for Mexican coke bottlers
because now they're going to lose out on a lot
of a lot of revenue because Coca Cola is going
to be making coke now here in the US with
(01:36:30):
cane sugar. A spokesperson for the company had told The
New York Post is starting this fall, the brand will
be selling a new twelve ounce single serve glass bottle
and select the US markets, offering consumers a classic and
timeless way to enjoy their original Coca Cola taste that
was made with US cane sugar. I need a moment.
(01:36:57):
I just need a moment. I did pound those cokes down.
I did those cokes like a a a coke abuser
does a line like you know. That was kind of
how I did the just down and went so delicious.
But I mean, this is the way that that that
soda should be.
Speaker 5 (01:37:16):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:37:16):
And I'm kind of glad, I really truly am. I'm
glad that that Coca Cola is doing this and the
fat that they're doing it in a green glass bottle.
My hometown used to have a a Coca Cola glass bottle,
the green glass bottle. Uh, what is what do you
call the bottle bottling thing? The the you know where
(01:37:37):
they they in the soda the thing, you know what
I'm talking about it it is it was never mind
and I kind of missed that. And it was always
cool because you'd be driving down the street and you'd
look over and they had the glass facaderating in the
front of the building where the assembly line went through,
and you'd see all the glass bottles going through getting filled.
Speaker 5 (01:37:56):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
That's a Maricanta so American. By the way, It's kind
of funny some of the things that are coming back
when it comes to you know, America in the way
it was because you remember growing up and gen Z
we were big on this one. And I know the
other younger generations might be like, oh my god, I
can't believe you guys would say that, And we did
(01:38:19):
when you used to be able to be like, that
is so gay, And that wasn't like an insult, and
it wasn't like a derogatory term term. It was just
it's what you ended up saying. Of course, even older generations,
you remember you could say gay and it just meant happy.
Now it's a whole other story. But I saw a video.
It was so funny. It was a video they were
(01:38:40):
talking about how they were doing something, and it was
a gen xer. It was out doing something and some
kids rode by them, Oh my god, that is so gay,
and they're like, oh, it feels good. America is back
where we can say words again and it doesn't super offend.
It's kind of a sad commentary, isn't it then that
(01:39:04):
we could do something as simple as like say that,
oh my god, that's so gay and it not be
one of those oh my god, you need to go
to hr. I can't believe that you would say something
like that's so offensive to somebody. Whoo you no, but
it's offensive to somebody, yeah, I know. And sugarcane in
our soda, oh so good. And it's also kind of
(01:39:24):
sad now that that when it comes to soda here
in America that in order to get soda with sugar
cane in it, you would have to go to like
a specialty soda. It's like really a specialty soda. What's
that they would wash, polish and reuse them. Yeah, the
glass bottles, that was great. And you remember, I mean
(01:39:47):
talking about nostalgia too, when we would do that with
as kids, when we would collect the glass bottles and
collect the cans and and do the recycled thing, and
we'd get a little bit of money for it. And
it was kind of nice back then when we had
that opportunity. Now we're in such a throwaway society that
I don't think that generations right now, like millennial or
(01:40:09):
Z or alpha would would even begin to understand the
concept of recycling something, because that whole movement has kind
of gone away, you know. And sure there's like some
millennial that is very much so in the Oh my god,
this is like totally recycled and it is so, but
even that is like dying out. Sorry, I'm reading a
(01:40:37):
bunch of a bunch of comments, but those are just
the good old days I kind of miss and and
now I'm feeling even older too that I'm saying that
I missed the good old days. You're not back when
life was easier and better. We've just made things so
complicated now. And then there's politics, even you know the
politics back in the day, how horrible it was. There's
a place, was that, Jeff Shiloh's in San Antonio that
(01:40:59):
bruised your own root beer? Oh, Jeff, I have an idea.
Are you ready work with me on this one? Are
you ready? Because one of the things that I love
over in the San Antonio area, just north of there
is is the Tipsy Cow ice cream. Oh my god,
it is so good. It's adult ice cream. They put
the the beverages in it. We should do this the
(01:41:21):
next visit that I make out there to San Antonio,
which is gonna have to be after the Pennsylvania trip.
We're working on that one, by the way, for those
of you that listen to the show in Pennsylvania, but
we can go to Shiloh's. We'll get some root beer.
Then we'll go over to to a tipsy cow and
have them make us a root beer float with it.
(01:41:43):
Huh come on, m all right, there goes my diet.
I think I've just gained a couple of pounds just
in this segment of the show. Seriously, Yeah, I just
missed the old days. I really do. We we've overcomplicated
(01:42:05):
things and again, even things like politics. You know, politics.
At one point, you know, we were able to have
that time where you could have that disagreement and be like,
oh my god, that is a that is such a
stupid thing. That is I hate your idea of whatever,
and and you could be fine, hang on, God, justice
die and me again, stupid thing, all right? But yeah, politics,
(01:42:30):
we used to be able to to have those moments
of if we could disagree with something and then go, hey,
you want to go get a beer? You are going
to a sandwich? How's your mom?
Speaker 6 (01:42:38):
In them?
Speaker 4 (01:42:40):
It's nice to say that we are bringing back some
old Americana. What would be really nice now is if
we could bring that portion of Americana back, if we
can get back to I disagree with you politically, but
how's your mom? Nowadays, it's like if you disagree with
somebody politically, First off, it's a huge fight. And second,
(01:43:01):
if you ask how your mother is, don't take my
mother into this. No, I'm just concerned about your mom.
How she doing. I haven't seen her in a while.
Oh my god, I can't believe you're doing that, so sad.
All right, Well, you gotta take a quick break. Now
that we've talked about a bunch of food in Americana
and now I'm craving a Mexican coke. I'm not sure
when exactly, by the way, Coca Cola is going to
(01:43:22):
get them out in what cities they're going to be in.
I guess I'm gonna have to do a list on that.
It might have to be on one of these these
road trips. What's that? Starting August first, Steak and Shake
will offer Coca Cola with real cane sugar in glass bottles.
Oh sure, because they close the Steak and Shake near me.
So all right, road trip, I'm all about it. Let's
(01:43:45):
do it road trip. All right, we gotta take a
quick break. We'll be right back. This is the Brian
Rush showed. Of course, it is a Red Friday, brought
to you by our friends over at American Charlie Grill
and Tavern right there, and the shops at Edgewater and
Panama City Beach. Next time you're out on the beach,
go on in and check it out. They've got an
extended hours. They've also got all the new football, the
TV screens and the new menu as well. And with
the holiday season coming around the corner, you might want
(01:44:06):
to call them now and book your holiday event there
in one of the rooms that they've got, But do
it early because they do fill up and if you
get in last minute, it might be in a night
you don't like or whatever. So don't waste any time.
Speaker 6 (01:44:18):
Do that.
Speaker 4 (01:44:18):
Okay, we will be right back. This is the Bride
Rush Show. All right, welcome back to the show. It
(01:44:45):
is the Brian Rush Show here on the Florida Man Radio.
Speaker 5 (01:44:47):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:44:47):
I think we sparked a whole bunch of memories going
on the good old days. I broke O. If you
broke your milk bottle, the grocer would give you a
new one as long as you brought him the neck
of the bottle with unopened, sealed top. That was back
in the day two. That was also customer service as well.
That and the fact that you could get milk in
a glass bottle. I was watching a video the other
(01:45:09):
day and apparently it's still a thing that you can
get milk in a glass bottle. I don't know where,
but I was watching a video on of all Things
food once again, where somebody was making something and they
popped open a glass bottle kind of like the old days,
was pouring milk, and I'm like, hang on a second,
where did you get that? I missed those things back
(01:45:32):
in the day too. I remember as a kid one
of the things that we used to get delivered to
my grandparents' house. We had. It was called Harmony Springs soda,
which I think still exists up in Massachusetts. It was
a local, regional brand of soda and we always get that,
and it came in these big glass bottles that you know,
(01:45:53):
once you're done with it, you put the glass bottle
back in the milk crate case that it came in,
and you leave it for them and deliver a new
case and they pick up that case. It was awesome that.
In ice cream, I know they still do ice cream,
but it's probably not quite what it used to be
as well, not the good old days. You know that
in the good old days when you use common sense,
(01:46:13):
common sense seems like a thing that has just kind
of disappeared. And I don't know if anybody saw this one,
because it's breaking news that's going on right now. We
definitely we got some breaking news happening. There is a
in California this morning. There's a California Ghost Card Base
where apparently there's a situation going on with the U
(01:46:35):
haul truck. Security officers at the base have shot, have
had fires shot at the U haul truck that they're
saying is posing a direct threat to the entrance of
the base. And I haven't got a chance to read
more into on the story. It's kind of a developing
story on this. But the thing that I'm watching is
the photograph. There's a photograph with I'm guessing the guy
(01:46:59):
with the UHU. I think that's the person that's kind
of in the center of the photo. But on top
of that, you have photo journalists and other people that
are standing like behind this person, like videoing everything that's
going on and taking the pictures, and you are in
direct line of sight of the security personnel. There's four
(01:47:22):
of them in this photograph where they're aiming guns at you. Now,
I get it. You know, I'm worked in the media
for thirty almost thirty six years. Now I understand you
got to get that shot. I've done camera work before.
I get it where you got it. But I'm sorry
(01:47:44):
if I'm there at a situation where shots have been fired,
it's not like they're just standing there with the guns drawn.
The shots have been fired. The last thing that I'm
gonna do is standing there with my camera and being like, oh, hey,
look at this shot I've got. This is an amazing shot.
It's like I can see right down the barrel of
(01:48:05):
the gun. Get out of the way. People are just
so stupid nowadays. It's just I don't understand what happens
to common sense, and it's sad that we now have
to change the phrase. And a good friend and called
it this one time, rather than calling it common sense,
called it walking around sense, and that's what we got to.
(01:48:29):
It's like you have walking around sense and then whatever
else it is that we've got going on. And it's
amazing sometimes to see the level of stupid, you know,
like I've actually seen people not be able to figure
out a door, like a self opening door, like it
should be one of the easiest things, especially like and
(01:48:50):
I watch people do this on a regular basis, and
it makes me giggle a little bit because I watch
people walk into doors, but you'll see them on a
carpet and there will be the carpet that has worn
out towards one side of the door, and you see
the door has opened and closed, and yet you still
walk to the wrong side of the door, and you.
Speaker 5 (01:49:11):
Like, what was it?
Speaker 4 (01:49:13):
Welcome? The door is not opening because you're standing on
the wrong side. Stupid, Take a couple of steps over
to the left. Oh, the door opens.
Speaker 1 (01:49:22):
It.
Speaker 4 (01:49:23):
For the longest time, it made me fear about the
future of our of our world when you see people
with that level of just inability to function that in
like drivers. I watch people because I'm one of these
situational awareness people, which is a good thing bad thing.
It's good because you know, I'm obviously very aware of
(01:49:44):
my surroundings, but it's bad because while I'm aware of
the surroundings and some of the things that I see,
and I watch some of the people driving, like I've
seen people who they do the ten and two. They're
locked in on the ten and they are straight forward
viewing like there's nothing else out there. It's just straight viewing.
(01:50:07):
That's all they see locked on there, and you'll see
them do things like run over a box or run
over something in the street like they didn't see it.
It's like, that's all you're doing is looking forward. How
do you not? But now when I see people doing that,
I also understand car accidents a little bit more because
you know, sometimes you see a car accident, you go
how in the world did that happen? And then you're like, oh, wait, no,
(01:50:31):
I get it. I get it. Now you start seeing
how some people drive and how they are completely oblivious
to everything around them. Totally makes sense. You know another
thing too, that speaking you're driving drives me freaking crazy.
I was driving down the road the other day, came
to an intersection and I'm like, one car behind in
the intersection and I can see it coming down the
(01:50:52):
road and it's an ambulance and it's coming full on,
code light, sirens, the air horn, everything is going. And
it comes up to the intersection and it now goes
around the cars and it's stopped a little bit in
the intersection. Air horn blowing, lights going, siren going. I
had my radio up and could hear it. And I'm
(01:51:12):
sitting there watching and people are still just driving by,
just driving by. One slowed down a little bit and
I was like, oh, look at that and kept on going.
Those are the people I want to slap hard, like
with a two by four. It's like, how can you
just not be aware of anything around you? It is
absolutely amazing to me that in you know, get out
(01:51:35):
of the way of ambulances, you know, when the sirens
are going, when everything is happening and they're trying to
get out there to somebody, they're trying to rescue somebody's life.
Get out of the way. But again, I just I
don't know how people can go through life so oblivious.
And maybe it's because of the fact that I am
so situational awareness that I have a hard time figuring
(01:51:57):
it out. Maybe that's what it is. Anyhow, after the
bottom of the hour, the Duster Boys are gonna be
joining us. We're gonna have a chat with them about
some of the Florida stuff and some of the other
things going on around. Hang on, we'll be right.
Speaker 2 (01:52:07):
Back, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:52:23):
Welcome back to the Brian Rush Show. Here on the
Florida Man Radio Network of course, streaming and Rumble and
Wimken dot Com. I don't know what happened to me.
I've kind of fell off the rails a little bit
here for a second. Anyhow, it is it is that
time of the week for us to bring the boys
on and again got both of the boys. And I
don't know what I have done to be able to
(01:52:45):
get both of you guys, the Doster Boys, Matt and
Brett from an American view, for I think one of
the longest streaks now of having both of you guys on.
Speaker 6 (01:52:54):
Ban is the same. It's the same tactic that you've
used to try to get yourself on our show, which
is going to be happy few weeks. You just bullied
us and harangue this until the point that we say, look,
we got to comply alive.
Speaker 5 (01:53:07):
All right, Yeah, we're obedient. That's one thing we can do.
Speaker 4 (01:53:10):
There we go. See now, I guess that tactic does work. Which,
by the way, you guys send me the message the
other day, and I saw the message because I got
a text message, and I think I saw the The
first part of it was, Hey, would you like to join?
And that's all I saw on the phone and I
got so excited. I was like, sweet, American View is
going to have me on the and I open it
(01:53:32):
up and they're like, hey, you want to join in
on this this zoom call with the White House and
all these other things. And I'm like, ah, all right,
And I did for a little while, but I was,
I was, I was crying for a minute. I was
a little disappointed. But you know what, I'm not gonna
let it ruin the show. I'm just I'm gonna put
my tissue right here just in case I need it.
But either way, welcome back to the show. Guys. Good
(01:53:55):
to be on So American Views heard every Saturday at
twelve right here on the Florida Man Radio Network. A
great show, talk about a lot of awesome topics. And
we always get into some good topics here on the
show every Friday when we have you on. And there's
so much to talk about. I mean, we've got dat
number twenty four of the government shutdown are twenty four
to twenty five. I've lost track now. I mean we're
(01:54:17):
approaching the highest point, which is thirty five days. We'll
see what happens. What's the latest with this.
Speaker 6 (01:54:25):
Yeah, So Saturday, March day twenty five, Brian, and you know,
just to kind of fill your listeners in on where
we are, you probably have heard a lot about this
the date back and forth on the Obamacare subsidies. The
Democrats are saying that they want them expended. This is
for healthcare plans for what they would refer to as
the pores of the poor, those who are uninsured. The
(01:54:47):
Republicans are saying, no, we got to move forward. Here's
what our audiences need to realize. This was not part
of the original Obamacare disaster. This was actually an add
on by Joe Biden his administration and the Democrats we
were in charge in twenty twenty one. They decided to
extend even more subsidies as they mean of trying to
(01:55:08):
coax and encourage and even in some ways coerce more
people to take part in these Obamacare changes because what
they want to get us to is a fully socialized,
you know, one payer healthcare system. And so now there
was a certain sunset time for these subsidies, and what
the Democrats are fighting over is to preserve their socialist
agenda here. It really is going to affect a microcosm
(01:55:30):
of people who are inside the Obamacare program about forty
percent of them. But still the Democrats are holding fast,
and we've got to encourage our Republicans not to go
we need here and just keep moving forward. So anyway,
that's the crux of the debate, Brian, and we'll see
how it plays out.
Speaker 4 (01:55:44):
Yeah, and you know what I was talking about this yesterday,
how I'm actually impressed that the Republicans did stand their
ground to this point. And I guess now the question
is how much further you guys going to be able
to stand your ground and hold it on this. And
you know, I'm I'm kind of surprised that the Republican
Party hasn't taken the stance of hey and publicly, I'm
(01:56:05):
sure they have in the background, but publicly just come
out and say, hey, look, yeah, healthcare is an important issue.
Let's address healthcare, but first let's get government back open,
and then tomorrow we'll address it. You know, nobody's brought
that up. And I don't know if you saw the
comment that Congresswoman Clark had made where she kind of
slipped up a little bit about how you know, the
(01:56:26):
families are going to feel the pain and this is
like the only leverage that we have that is that's
a sad commentary.
Speaker 5 (01:56:33):
That is the exact word leverage. I mean that's where
they stand right now. They're in the minority in Congress,
both sentate in the House, and so yeah, that is
their point of leverage. And the interesting commentary on the
whole thing. I mean, we're at day twenty twenty four,
I guess, and you know, a lot of people just
haven't noticed. I mean, there are some people that are
affected more than others right in this situation, but most
(01:56:54):
people just haven't really noticed other than seeing the headlines.
You know, I've heard people say, look, if things really
do start to shut down, if the airport's starting to
shut down because the you know, the flight traffic control
people aren't going to work, then there's this whole looming
issue of are the are the food stamps going to
(01:57:15):
go dark? Are they going to shuffle some money around
to keep best stuff going on? But until that happens, Brian,
I mean, it's like, what what's the motivation really for
either side to budge? And so I'm with you, I
hope that the I mean, so far the Republican side
has stood strong.
Speaker 3 (01:57:30):
I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (01:57:30):
They should say, look, well, we'll talk, we'll negotiate whatever
it is, but we're not going to do it when
when you're holding this over our heads, you know, they
need to things to get everything turned back on. Which
is kind of an interesting place for us to be,
is you know, on our side of the aisle, because
I'd love for a lot of these several programs to
go away, but it can't be over this sprinkmanship from
the from the left, Like they need to play ball,
(01:57:52):
and they need to they need to be at the
table trying to come up with real solutions and real
change to our government. Not that's kind of like fuldy
hostage kind of tactic.
Speaker 4 (01:58:00):
Mm hmm. Yeah. And and of course the Republican Party,
like I've said over and over again, they're not doing
a fantastic job of the messaging when it comes to
what's really truly going on and who is to blame
on this because we still see the blame being put
squarely on the Republicans. It's all the Republicans fault for
doing this. But we know better. But I think that
you know, the the real pain once it starts to
(01:58:22):
kick in, And I know a lot of federal employees
who are not getting paid. I have a brother that's
that's in that category. He's not getting paid, friends that
aren't getting paid. You know. I think if we start
getting into the next month when the SNAP program does
not get refilled, and we're talking like what five six
(01:58:44):
days away before that point, get happens where all of
a sudden people aren't able to feed their children. And
granted it won't be a lot of people, but it'll
be enough it'll be a big impact. I think that
some of this is going to turn around and bite
the Democrats and the butt because there's a lot of
government employees that are like, they know what's going on,
(01:59:05):
and they're also not getting paid.
Speaker 6 (01:59:08):
YEP. At the end of the day, you've got to
be able to fund people's basic necessities before you start
talking about, you know, whether they're going to get or
whether a smaller proportion of people are going to get
their healthcare insurance subsidy or not. I think Republicans are
going to be on the high ground here, Brian. And
let me just add this on if I could. We've
got a pretty feisty governor's race beginning to develop in
(01:59:31):
the state of Plaida now, and you have multiple gubernatorial
candidates now that are calling for a repeal of Obamacare, saying, look,
we should have never gotten ourselves as Republicans in this
position in the first place, where we are allowing Democrats
to hold this hostage over how socialists we're really going
to be. And so as that debate kind of turns
(01:59:52):
the corner, I think this pressure on Congress is just
going to keep amping up.
Speaker 4 (01:59:56):
Yeah, yeah, I think it is. And you know, the
big argument that I see when it comes the the
Obamacare thing, and I think the Republicans are coming at
it in a completely wrong direction when everything that they
say is we need to repeal it. It's like, okay,
and what do you replace it with?
Speaker 6 (02:00:11):
How do you what?
Speaker 4 (02:00:12):
What do you do for those that need it? What
do we do for the healthcare system, what do we
do for health insurance? How do we there's no plan,
there's no here's what we want to do, even if
it's not a full plan and it's got to work.
They just simply come out and say we need to
repeal it. And of course the Democrats go, see, they
just want to take away your health care and there's
like no alternative. So I think that the Republican Party
(02:00:35):
would be better off by saying, look, this plan has
been a disaster, here's our idea. Let's let's transition into
this instead. And they're not doing that. Instead, it's just
we're going to repeal it. And then the Democrats use
their words against them.
Speaker 5 (02:00:51):
Yeah, you're exactly right, and you allude to it a lot, Brian,
which is the messaging war, and that's the that's you're
you're spot on. I mean, Brett and I work in
that world, and we're always trying to think through issues,
what's the right and the wrong thing to do, but
also how do you how do you present it? How
do you make your case for it? And this debate
over healthcare has been muddied over the last a couple
(02:01:13):
of decades really, I mean, it really goes all the
way back to Hillary Clinton and back in the nineties
and what they were trying to do with the healthcare system.
I mean, the bottom line in America, with a free
market system, America has produced the greatest wealth that the
world's ever seen. In that creation of wealth includes healthcare,
the innovations, the pharmacy, the pharmaceutical innovations, the surgical innovations,
(02:01:36):
all of that has been a product of a free
market system in which people are able to innovate and
then be rewarded for their innovations. What we end up
staying focused on from a public policy standpoint is access, right, well,
what about everybody? How does everybody get some sort of
ability to benefit from these innovations? And there is attention
(02:01:58):
in those two things right the left and to say,
let's make sure everybody has accessed to everything. The problem
is when you go down that socialized role, you kill
all the incentives for innovation and then the creation of
healthcare suffers. So there is a public policy puzzle to
be figured out. There is a there's a thing that
(02:02:18):
you know, the people on both the right and the
left should be working on to make it right for
all of America. But we can't lose that. We can't
lose sight of the fact that if we had not
had a free market system all these years, we would
not be where we are, We would not have the
advances of the innovations that we do. So, you know,
hopefully the smart people can get together and they can
(02:02:38):
come up with something that makes sense, that preserves the
American way and also just helps make healthcare a workable
solution for everybody.
Speaker 4 (02:02:46):
Yeah, and you know, I think I've come up with
with probably the easiest solution to this problem, and that
is to look at healthcare industry, which as we know,
is a for profit industry, and just look at them
and say, how can we reduce the cost. I don't
think anybody has actually addressed that. It's a simple question.
(02:03:07):
It's not how can we get people insured, because ensuring
somebody doesn't matter if the cost is still expensive, as
simple ask of the question, how can we make it cheaper?
Speaker 6 (02:03:17):
Yeah, So, Brian, You're one hundred percent right to ask
that question. But I'm going to just ask you for
a moment to just fantasize with me a little bit, okay,
because oh yeah, get ready, we do We already have
in many respects, a socialized healthcare system in the United States.
(02:03:39):
All right, So here's what we know. What we know
is that McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's five guys, right, that
you have all these different choices, and the competition with
all those different choices is what helps hold prices down.
It gets quality up. You know, you may decide, hey,
I don't want to burger, I'm gonna do it. But
(02:04:00):
the point is you have to let free markets work.
Over the last basically sixty years, we have been repressively
allowing government to intrude on the healthcare free market and
on it. Look, healthcare ultimately, at some point is not
a free market decision. When you're talking about life and death.
There are certain catastrophic illnesses that need to be dealt
(02:04:22):
with in a different way. But the reality is that
we almost have a single payer healthcare system now, and
until the federal government backs up a little bit and
puts us back in the hands of the states and
lets the free market work a little bit, we're not
going to have that pressure that gives people more choices
and lower prices.
Speaker 4 (02:04:40):
Right, Yeah, you're absolutely right when it comes to that,
and they've got to do something about it. We'll see
what happens. But in the meantime, I want to get
into this one because this is a Florida story, which
you would almost think is not a Florida story, but
the pronoun battle that is going on. What is the
story with this one? And also tell me the name
(02:05:01):
of the city, because I screw it up every time
I say it.
Speaker 6 (02:05:06):
All right, so it's you know, for some people who
are FSU fans to tell but let's just call it
the Gainesville area, right. But yeah, but you've got a
teacher over there in the school system who is going
by the by the title of MX as opposed to
m R. And as we know, I mean, there's a
(02:05:26):
thousand different pronouns now that the what's called a radical
transgender LGBTQ pronoun movement uses. This is a big no no.
So the Attorney General, James Offmeyer has taken an action
to say, look, you need to stop doing this immediately
or else. Apparently this teacher now has been put on
some sort of temporary leieve but look, this echoes Brian
(02:05:49):
the same thing that parents have been struggling with in
the Great Free strate Afar for the last you know,
three or four years since covid is. They've been saying, look,
in the great state of part we don't want schools
and we don't want teachers walking in with a sexualized
agenda imposing that on our kids. You know, that's for
(02:06:09):
us as parents, and that's for us as communities and
churches and counselors to do with, not teachers trying to
advance a personal agenda. And I think everybody has somethy
with that. I mean, I think that parents generally do
not want people exposing their kids, especially younger kids, to
an agenda that is sexualized and let's just say, immoral
(02:06:33):
in many respects. So we really need to respect parents' rights.
And I think that the Attorney General is taking a
life path on this one.
Speaker 4 (02:06:40):
Good because that's one of the things we just need
to stop here. And of course that particular count all right,
I'm gonna I'm just gonna say it. How do you
say the name of the county? Because I screwed up?
I call it something completely different Latu.
Speaker 6 (02:06:51):
What is it you call Alatua? You call a lotso
of a lotso or Alatua?
Speaker 4 (02:06:55):
Yeah, how the hell do you get that out of
the way? It's spelt I don't you know whatever. But
that that particular the the a county over there, that
that a county. It's had a lot of problems with
the school system in recent months. So it's a big
problem over there, and hopefully they can address more of that.
And again, this is one of these people need to
speak up too and say enough is enough. The other
(02:07:19):
problem that we have right now, and I guess a
lot of this goes to a lack of education, and
that is the disastrous destruction of Donald Trump destroying the
White House with the East Wing thing. Now, I've already
criticized Donald Trump and the administration on not really being
straightforward and clarifying how the construction is and what's coming
(02:07:41):
down and all this other stuff, because there's been several
different stories on it. But what are some of your
thoughts on just this mental meltdown over the renovation of
the White House.
Speaker 5 (02:07:52):
Well, Brett and I were laughing earlier, we were talking
about it because you know, you could use the metaphor
of the wrecking bar that Trump has taken to the
federal government.
Speaker 4 (02:08:03):
Right.
Speaker 5 (02:08:03):
You think about the Doge efforts earlier this year, you
think about massive layoffs, you think about just all the
things sort of metaphorically that that conservatives have been in
favor of, and it's like, now we literally have a
wrecking ball happening in Washington, d C. I will I
will confess I'm a I'm a historic preservation guy, So
(02:08:26):
I do have a little bit of heartache about seeing
an old building come down, no matter which one it is.
Speaker 4 (02:08:31):
Yeahs old, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (02:08:33):
It's like that is true.
Speaker 5 (02:08:36):
I mean it's not right. It's not the building or
anything like that. It's an add on. It's an add
on exactly. But yeah, it has been very interesting how
Trump sort of made this announcement that we were going
to have a ballroom, and it really wasn't that long
ago but a couple of months ago that this started
being talked about, and it's like boom, now we're doing it.
You know, there's no there's no holding back. And yeah,
(02:08:58):
it's definitely become sort of like the cause of azure
for uh, for clutching your pearls and just you know,
being horrified by whatever Trump is doing. In the end,
I think everybody's gonna like the end result, you know,
how we get there is probably gonna gonna cause some
heartache that how whatever the end result is, it should
be or supposed to be really a showcase room and
(02:09:21):
allow you know, America to be to be put on
more prominent display when these foreign leaders was and all
that sort of thing. I don't know what what's your
take on.
Speaker 6 (02:09:29):
It, Brian?
Speaker 4 (02:09:30):
You know what, Initially I was kind of one of
those really, what's we go and then I was like,
you know, it's really not that big of a deal.
Speaker 6 (02:09:37):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:09:38):
And you you look at the history of the White House. Look,
people don't realize that the White House has been gutted.
I mean literally from the ceiling to the dirt basement
floor has been gutted by presidents. It is with the
West Wing has been torn down, like they built the
(02:09:58):
West Wing then like it they tore it down and
rebuilt it to what we see now. Obama spent a
whole bunch of money to modernize things. Bush modernized things.
It got modernized a little bit during Biden's administration. It's
one of these things. It just happens as long as
they don't touch the center portion of the building itself.
(02:10:21):
I mean, it is what it is. I mean it's
not the original building. I mean what you see there
now the original White House, it's not even one hundred
years old, you know, outside from the frame. So I
think the the hoopla that we're seeing and the people
that are getting so upset, they're getting upset because of
their lack of knowledge of the history of the White
House and what's really going on and what the whole
(02:10:44):
thing is going to be. Instead, it's just this Trump
derangement syndrome that no matter what Trump does, you know,
they've got to throw a fit about it. And you know,
anything that they can add on to the fact that
Donald Trump is destroying America and look what he's doing,
He's destroying the America's house. You know, it's just the
argument is stupid.
Speaker 6 (02:11:02):
I think.
Speaker 5 (02:11:03):
Yeah, if you look at the aerial photos, I mean,
both the West wing and the East wing are very
clearly add on. You know, it's definitely something where they
had the core building and then later, as you know,
as the White House expanded, they had to add these
other things. So you're right, it's a much inflated, dramatic
issue and not nearly what the left is trying to
(02:11:25):
make it out to be.
Speaker 4 (02:11:26):
Yeah, and then I mean you got things like the
Truman balcony. I mean that's not even original. I mean
Truman put that on there, so he altered the face
of the actual building itself, the historic building. So I
think there's a whole level of shut up. I mean, really,
it's just stop the show coming up on Saturday twelve noon.
(02:11:46):
Who's going to be on the show this week?
Speaker 6 (02:11:49):
Yeah, so we got a great guest on Brian. It's
going to be Mark Old when he is the deputy director. Okay,
you get this, get ready for this. Okay, the Center
for a Response possible federal budget. So one of the
unheralded stories this week, it was kind of hit some
of the financial news, but it doesn't have a big
impact on you, me and the rest of the consumers
out there and the taxpayers, is that our debt has
(02:12:12):
hit thirty eight trillion for the first time, and it's
the fastest that it's moved in the nation's history from
the last trillion that we just pierce through. So we've
moved more quickly from thirty seven trillion in debt to
thirty eight trillion in debt. And at any time before
the service on the debt interest is now like beyond belief.
(02:12:35):
And we've got a real problem on our hands. So
as soon as we get through this continuing resolution battle,
we've got it, or encourage our congressmen to deal with
this federal debt issue where we're going to be in
real trouble.
Speaker 4 (02:12:44):
Yeah. Absolutely, America in View. It's going to be heard
tomorrow Saturday, twelve noon right here in Florida Man Radio.
Matt and Brett always love our conversations, and I can't
wait to actually get that text message that says, hey, Brian,
you want to do the show this week, and not
hey you want to join in on a conference call.
But you know what I digress. I mean, I got
things to do. I'm a busy man, but I do
(02:13:04):
appreciate you guys.
Speaker 2 (02:13:05):
It's going to be.
Speaker 5 (02:13:05):
It's gonna be so it's going to be so good
when it finally happens. Just keep looking forward to it.
Speaker 4 (02:13:13):
I am, it's something for me to look forward to
every single week. Madden, Bread Dosser, American in View. Appreciate
you guys, coming on. You guys, have a fantastic weekend,
and of course we'll talk with you next week.
Speaker 6 (02:13:24):
You got a brother, have a great weak you too.
Speaker 4 (02:13:26):
We'll talk to you guys later. That's America View tomorrow,
twelve noon, right here on Florida Man Radio. We got
to take our last break. We'll be right back
