Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
America, we have a problem. It is a big one.
We have pissed and angry men who are deciding the
best thing they can do to fix whatever ails them
in their mind is to kill innocent people. Mental illness
is a very big problem. But we need to ask
ourselves the question, what the f is going on that

(00:35):
our country is having this happen more and more. It
can't just be the guns, because that's what the left
is going to say. It's just about the guns. Just
about no, no, no no, from Michigan to North Carolina
to Texas and what the kickapoo for? Guys, didn't hear this?
Because every time something happened, something bigger happens. The dude

(00:55):
roll into a casino and shoot people. But that's not
getting covered because other stuff has happened along the way,
yesterday being a big one at a church Mormon church
in Grand Blank Blanc Blanc, Michigan. Dude rolls in and
by rolling, I mean drive his truck into the church.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Authority say the suspect. Forty year old Thomas Jacob Sandford
is a Marine veteran who served in Iraq. A fundraising
website from twenty fifteen, indicating his son was born with
a rare genetic disorder, the treatment for which apparently took
a financial toll on the family. Sandford is quoted in
a local newspaper saying, don't ever take having healthy kids
for granted. I spent four years in the Marine Corps

(01:40):
and was in Iraq, and this is still the most
unique thing to deal with.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
So rolls in there, kills four set it ablaze. Question
is why why four years in Iraq? There's no doubt
he's got serious mental issues. His mother had said as such.
She said that there had been more than a few
issues he was struggling with. But again, why the church.
Did you have an issue with the church that the

(02:05):
church do something to you? So far, his social media
was family man, wife, young son who had issues. Don't
know why. My belief is serious mental issues. Maybe blame
the church for something that they had nothing to do with. Again,
it's all speculation at this point in time. And you

(02:26):
go from there to North Carolina and you had a
dude roll in on a boat and start shooting people.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
In Many of the victims were visitors just here on vacation.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
It's a peer where the end is and his boat
was right out there and there's nowhere for nowhere for
anybody to go, and.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Investigators have charged that suspect. He's being held in jail
with al bond and is expected to appear before judge tomorrow.
The DA's office is considering the death penalty.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Also in Iraqi, war Vette. This time they think that
they have a motive, which is he's not mentally well.
I think we can discuss that he's a lone wolf.
There's no doubt about this. And he has changed his name.
He goes by what was Edge, Nigel Edge seems like
a punk rock name, but he believed that the gays

(03:18):
were trying to kill him. The Generations Church was behind
his civil conspiracy, masterminded by the LGBTQ plus community and
white supremacist pedophiles to kill Edge because of his straitness.
Filed a similar suit against the Brunswick Medical Center, accusing
of being part of a conspiracy launched by the LGBTQ

(03:39):
plus white supremacists who were allegedly out to get him
because he survived their attack in Iraq. You gouty to
see a pattern here. First of all our veterans PTSD
in a major way. This guy received a number so
nigel edge prestigious awards that he received Purple Heart awarded,
Marine Corps Good Conduct, Metal, Combat Action remand C Service

(03:59):
Deployment Ribbon, IRAQ Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, Humanitarian
Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism
Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal. But authorities also said
that as a wounded veteran, he did suffer from PTSD.
Why does he have a gun? Why does nobody have
any kind of tap on this guy? And by that

(04:22):
I mean family friends, people going hey, I think Nigel's
starting to lose it. Then you have the guy in
Michigan yesterday who his mom said he was starting to twist. Okay,
why why do we have red flag laws? Why do
we have all this stuff where we see something, say something,

(04:42):
and we're not seeing things the way that we should
be because we don't want to believe that our loved
one could spiral out of control? Are you blank? And
kidding me? Doesn't mean you can stop them, but it's
reactionary after it happens. We have a problem in this
country and we need to start dealing with with it.
Among our vets from the homelessness, to their PTSD struggles,

(05:06):
to young men in particular who aren't vets but have
gone down a dark path. Let me know what you think.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson show, Jacks, your instau YouTube, your Facebook
and more. Love hearing from all of you. Meanwhile, in Portland,
apparently there's an insurrection. I'm not quite sure what's going

(05:29):
on in Portland, but we're going to send the military
there to stop it. And I'm a constitutional guy, and no,
I don't like this. I don't want this. I think
this is ridiculous. Portland. You need to get your crap together.
We've said that for a long time. In fact, up
and down the West Coast, you've allowed insanity to run wild,

(05:50):
and we need to figure that part out. Why you're
deciding against actually doing anything when it comes to some
of the wackiness there. But that isn't going to stop
Trump and incomes the military.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
The Department of Homeland Security claims protesters have repeatedly attacked
and laid siege to a nice processing center in Portland.
Following a shooting at a Dallas ice facility that left
one detainee dead. President Trump blames Antifa for the attack,
signing an executive order designating it a domestic terrorist organization,

(06:24):
but the order carries no legal weight. And Antifa is
an ideology, not an organization, and.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
It runs wild up there. But as I was explaining
to my friends on the right who are getting mad
at me because I'm like, how do you have I said,
you can go and say, all right, the mob that's
an organization, right, you have the Godfathers, right, you know,
and then and then on down all the way down

(06:53):
to you know, the capos and the soldiers, And there's
a hierarchy e in the Hell's Angels or the Mongols
or any of the other things that are out there.
There's a hierarchy. This is an ideology that's like saying, hey,
white supremacist, Well, what does it mean? I don't know.

(07:14):
I mean there's a belief, But is there a gang
that goes behind it? In some places there are? You
got to prove that. And let's be real, Antifa is
a bunch of kids who run around LARPing and being
idiots and getting away with it because they've allowed people
to get away with things for way too damn long.

(07:36):
But does that mean we need to see in the
military inn to do something. I don't think so. I'm
a constitutional guy. States have their rights. I like the
states having their rights. They should, and it's so amazing
to watch people go, well, the states may have their rights,
but the federal right, No, that's not what it's about.
The Constitution is the thing that overrides it's your want

(08:00):
for Trump to do something. Well, he should because he's
got to protect the people. That again goes back to
what is the state doing to protect? What is the
city doing to protect? What is the county doing to protect?
That should not be the federal government's issue unless there's

(08:21):
a serious insurrection issue taking place.

Speaker 7 (08:26):
In my conversations directly with President Trump and Secretary Known,
I have been abundantly clear with them that Portland and
the State of Oregon believe in the rule of block
and we can manage our own local public safety needs.
There is no insurrection, there is no threat to national security,

(08:51):
and there is no need for military troops in our
major city. Military service members should be dedicated to real urgencies.
The members of the Oregon National Guard, their mission is
to stand up and protect Oregonians and they will do that.
Every day, but they are not needed in the city,

(09:11):
they are not needed here.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Well, they're going to get it, and then, of course
lawsuits have been filed and we'll see how this goes.
But the people out there who have this blind allegiance
to Trump, this is a show. That's what he likes,
and the show is Look how crappy you guys handle

(09:36):
your business there. We've had to come in and fix it,
and it means very little. Where is your government though?
Locally Portland, we're looking at you asking the question, why
haven't you done what you needed to do? M mayor

(09:56):
why haven't you in certain situations the Summer of Love,
too many people got away with too many things, and
you could have easily made an argument in Seattle and
Portland that, yes, bringing troops in at that time was
a different thing, especially to protect certain areas. The federal
side of stuff. This isn't that time. This isn't But

(10:19):
they're going to get away with it for a little
while to the court rules, and the court's going to rule, Hey,
there's no need. I mean, there's insurrection. Is that what
they're claiming? Because I've seen fifty different things. It's an insurrection.
It's this, it's that trumpet courts claimed it's under siege.
There's been protests throughout the summer. Most demonstrations have been peaceful,

(10:41):
but some have ended in deployment of tear gas. Okay,
but is that a siege? No, I don't think so.
What happened to states rights? States rights are absolutely the
most important thing when you look at the Constitution, US
having our into rights and the states rights to govern themselves.

(11:03):
Federal government is supposed to do a few things. Trump
wants to use it to do a lot of things.
I'm a big believer in states rights. And even though
organ has not handled the business the way they should
at times, and even though Portland in particular has allowed
things to get crazy at times, that is an organ problem.

(11:27):
Much like I said it was a Chicago problem. Much
like I say it's it's several people's problems as far
as the states and the cities go. Let me know
what you think. Three two, three, five, twenty four to
twenty three at JAD Benson shows your ex, your insta, YouTube, Facebook,
and more. A lot of stuff to get to, including Israel.
What happened not only on Friday, but BB at the

(11:47):
White House today, We'll talk a bit about that, among
other things. Relief factor. Many people feel stuck every day,
eight spains, body hearts. Ugh, don't continue to allow that
to happen. Relief factors under SID drug free. It's amazing.
I use it every single day, so does my wife.
We feel incredible and I'm working out more than I

(12:07):
have in a long time. General muscle aches and pains.
This is great for sore joints, recovery after physical exertion.
It is a natural approach to comfort and mobility, and
I love that it's got Omega. Three fatty acids, ris, Veritol, Kurkuman,
and Karen each support the body's inflammation response for different

(12:29):
metabolic pathways, which is incredible. So this is what I
want to do. Try a three week quick start. It's
just nineteen ninety five. Let's sen a cup of coffee
a day. You're gonna experience the difference. You're gonna feel
a thousand times better and those sore pains, your muscles,
your back, you watch what happens. They're gonna start to
subside and you're gonna feel better. You can take it
every Day's formula is safe. Nineteen ninety five three week

(12:51):
quick Start go to relief factor dot com. That's relief
factor dot comic call one eight hundred four relief. That's
eight hundred to number four relief for a relief factor.
It is the Jad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Birthright Citizenship in full display for the Supreme Court. Trump's gone, hey,
I want you guys to listen to this, and they will,
and they will decide. It will be interesting to see
how they decide because it's a very friendly court to Trump.
That being said, there's precedent, so we know what the

(13:34):
fourteenth Amendment says. All persons born or naturalized in the
United States are subject to the jurisdiction they're of man,
the citizens of the US, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
So you had United States versus Wong Kim arc Eighteen
ninety eight, Pylo versus Doe nineteen eighty two, Elk versus
Wilkins eighteen eighty four, and the one that seems to

(14:02):
be the controlling, as they would say, president, is the
Wong Kim ark. One court ruled that a man born
in San Francisco to Chinese parents who were not US
citizen was a US citizen by birth, therefore firmly establishing that,
except for children of diplomats and enemy occupiers, anyone born
on US soil is a citizen. Trump wants to change that.

Speaker 8 (14:26):
This would be a watershed change for the United States
in terms of law.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, I don't. Again, I don't know how the Court's
going to rule. I would assume that they're going to
I mean, if you asked me and I had to
put money on it, I would say they're going to
stick with the President and keep it the way it is.
That being said, you never know. With this court in particular.

Speaker 8 (14:54):
There is no territory friendlier to Donald Trump than the
Supreme Court of the United States, save perhaps for his
own oval office.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
That's true, and you're already seeing Clarence Thomas talk about
well precedent so and a lot of people think that's
not so much a look at this case as it
is marriage equality or gay marriage. So I have again,
this is all going to be very interesting to see

(15:25):
the way this plays out. He has got a favorable court,
but just because it's favorable in a sense to him,
in many people's eyes, they've ruled against him on several
occasions three, two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four, twenty
three at Chad Benson Show. Is your Acts, your Insta,
your YouTube, your Facebook and more love hearing from all

(15:47):
of you right here at the Chad Benson Show. And
in theory, it's supposed to be guided by their understanding
of the law and the constitution, right, is that what
we're going with? All right, we'll go with it on
this one. Let me know what you think. And then
you've got stuff like with the Komi. There's a perfect
example of court cases. And this will be interesting to

(16:09):
see the way this plays itself out. And my question
is who's next this week? Because you know somebody else
is coming, right, you know somebody else. I'm going to
go with Bolton, but I could be wrong, But the
possibilities there.

Speaker 9 (16:22):
You have no one else in the office. There are
one hundred assistant US attorneys in the Eastern District of Virginia.
No one other than Lindsay Halligan, Trump's personal choice for
this particular rubber Stamp even signed the indictment.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
That's that's crazy. Nobody else. They wouldn't even go with her.
Nobody would go with her to the filing of the case.
She had to go by herself.

Speaker 9 (16:45):
The President is not able historically to use the Department
of Justice as his own personal vendetta litigation arm. It
is the Department of Justice represents the rule of law
the United States of America and the Constitution. It is not,
as Louis la fourteenth would say, lestas Saint moois, it
is not a scenario where the state is me. That

(17:06):
seems to be the way President Trump is approaching things.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
And until he loses, He's going to continue to do so.
I think if they get call me to court they
were that's a hard one. Again. That's a hard one again.
I don't know if this will get to court. And remember,
this isn't about going to court and winning a case
as much as it is a vendetta against him, getting
back at him, dragging this thing out, costing of money

(17:33):
and time and embarrassing him. That's what this is, as
much as a conviction. If you missed you show Red
the podcast, it is the Chad Benson Chow, then Chad Benson.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
All right, until they get it fixed. They give it
about ninety seconds or so, the budget battle. That's it.
That's all I give it because they're gonna come out
and they'll sign something and they're like, oh my god,
they could ask me, did so good? They all do
the same crap over and over again. It's your damn job.

Speaker 10 (18:21):
The White House really trying to ramp up the pressure
here now, threatening to fire, not just furlough workers, they
say work under programs that do not align with the
president's priorities. Now, of course, Republicans control both chambers of Congress.
They have the House, they have the Senate. They also
have the White House. But they need Democratic votes to
get this done, and the two sides are so very far.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Apart, very very very far apart. Indeed, it'll get done.
It'll be some sort of cr some sort of crap
that'll kick it out till November. Everybody's like, oh my god,
we did our job. Like I don't know what else
thereous to say. I mean, they do this every year,
every time it comes up every few months and everybody goes,
oh my god, they're going to shut down the so
what shift down for a month. The only thing that

(19:03):
pisses me off is the soldiers don't get paid outside
the rest of it, eh, I mean, you know, it's
what are we supposed to do. You guys don't want
to get a job done, then don't get a job done.
You guys never get your job done. You never do it.
You fight, you piss, you wine, your moan, and at
the end of the day, you guys finally do it
at like two thirty in the morning, and then we

(19:24):
have to hear about how great it was that you
got something done. Is what I say to that? Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three Acted Benson Show, is
your acts, your instat YouTube and Facebook and whatnot? Uh
babe spoke last week. A bunch of people got up
when he was at the un and walked out, and

(19:46):
then he did his speech and the usual stuff. You know,
they're the victim, blah blah blah blah. Yeah, it's at
this point in time, enough is enough Trump kind of
I think, try to put him somewhat in his place.
On Friday when somebody asked about the West Bank and
he said he will not be going to the West Bank.

(20:07):
Now do I believe that I have no idea? I
don't know. If BB thanks, I'll do whatever the hell
I want. You can't stop me one thing I do
know for certain is it going to meet today.

Speaker 11 (20:15):
Well, as we stand here in the Middle East, the region,
it's potentially at a pivotal moment as getting a deal
in Gaza to bring the fighting to an end. This
is a cornerstone the President's foreign policy agenda. That's why
there's going to be such a heightened focus on this
meeting here at the White House between President Trump and
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. To be clear, nothing has been

(20:35):
agreed to yet publicly from all of these sides, but
we are anticipating on the docutent discussion this twenty one
point plan that has been obtained by the Times of Israel,
which gives a roadmap, a potential idea of what a
deal could look like. This twenty one point plan in
particular ending the war immediately, the release of all forty
eight hostages, both living and dead, destruction of Hamas's military capabilities,

(21:01):
even amnesty to those who agree to coexistence with Israel.
We know that meetings have been taking place throughout the
weekend in order to bridge any gaps that remain between
the White House and the Israelis. The President has remained
confident that he believes they're close.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I don't know if they're close. Trump's got a twenty
one point plan. I don't know what that actually looks like,
how much of that because BB's kind of pushed back
a little bit on that. There's no doubt what's going
on over there horrific. You can't pretend that it's not
watching people starve. And what I hear is well, they

(21:39):
deserve it, or they're all terrorist, or this is all
Hamas's fault. Hamas played a huge role in it. We
act like Israel played no role and this is not
about the Israeli people. Well, jeez, this is where we
need to separate this. Okay, Why can I criticize Trump, Biden, Obama, Bush,

(22:00):
all of our institutions here in America government wise? Why
can I do that? Why can I criticize Kure, Stammer, Right, Macron,
Vladimir Putin, Zelenski, Maduro? Why is it I'm allowed to
criticize them, but I can't criticize the government of Israel?

(22:24):
Why is that? Why is it me saying something about
Maduro being a failed bus driver slash revolutionist who sucks
even worse than Hugo Chavez is not racist? But if
I say I think BB Netanyahu is leading them down
a path that is not in any way, shape or

(22:45):
form going to help them long term despite what they
think they're going to get out of this. Somehow makes
you an anti Semite. Why is that? That is insane?
So I'm going to continue to do it. I am.
I'm going to continue to call on this government in Israel,
which is a it's a weird I think people think

(23:06):
that Israel is that BB had this overwhelming victory. He
barely clung on the victory. I don't think in the
general election he's got much more than thirty percent. Ever,
because they have so many parties, so it's a plurality
which he has won. And then you go and you
build a government. And that's why you'll see these things
seem like, Okay, he's going to win, and then all

(23:27):
of a sudden the government falls apart. But we you
know this, he's not like super popular. People are pissed.
They were close to going to many civil war over
there prior to October seventh. But the pushback I get
from so many people out there is, well, you don't
read the Bible. I do. You're reading one portion of

(23:48):
the Bible. By the way, I don't believe God was
talking about the government of Israel at any given time.
I don't think you think, yeah, let's talk about the
good party, let's talk about them. No, so we can
have these conversations as adults. I think they're good to have. Now,
what do I think is going to come out of this?

(24:09):
Here's my thing. No matter what Bbe says, I don't
know if I believe him, because every time you think, oh,
this sounds like something he wants, all of these things
that make it seem like, well, if we get the
hostages back, then, but you have to read the fine print.
The fine print is it's always about occupation. It's always
about moving them away. That's always been their number one goal,

(24:30):
getting rid of them. I said last week, we're spending
how much money over there? Way too damn much, and
I don't want to be a party to it. I
can look over and say, we're just giving twenty billion
dollars to Argentina where our farmers starve. And then Trump
comes out of goes because of the Great Tariffs, and
we're going to give some money to the farmers. Who
are we that's the government, No, that's the Americans. You

(24:52):
and I taxpayers, consumers, that's where that money comes from,
doesn't come from other countries. So yeah, I can be
upset about how much money we're spending elsewhere at this
moment in time, as we all should be, and I
don't think for a moment he cares about the hostages
at this moment in time. He says he does, but

(25:14):
I think he uses it. So we're going to see.
We'll see if the twenty one point plan ends up
being anything that he will agree to. But I don't
think he will. I don't. I don't think he's going
to agree to it the way he may come out
and say it and then something happens and he decides
to push on further. Because I also don't think he

(25:35):
really cares what Trump thinks, just like I don't think
Vladimir Putin cares what Trump thinks. So you have that
three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Benson shows your acts, your insta Portland
going to get a visit from the troops.

Speaker 12 (25:52):
I've been so deeply disappointed to see the footage from
a half decade ago recycled and then recycled again.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
That's Mayor Wilson of Portland talking about the old footage
being used to tell everybody, look at what's going on here,
look at this. We need to get in there and
do something. Several of you have text and tweeted. Appreciate
that you tweet at me and text at me three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three. You can also

(26:21):
leave voicemail there. Some of you are trying to make
the argument that Portland isn't protecting as people, so therefore
the government, federal government needs to step up. My argument
is constitution. My argument is the state's rights that are

(26:45):
in there, and the cities have their rights, and that
they need to handle their own business because you coming
in to try to quote unquote fix something isn't really
the fix you think it is. And it gives you
a step further into being able to say, well, I
want to do this, this and this, and I want
no part of that. And how are you going to

(27:09):
get change if you go in and fix temporarily a problem.
So you've got to allow the people to see how
bad this problem gets you do and I think it's working.

(27:30):
More and more Democrats are coming out saying, all right,
this whole soft on crime thing is crap. It doesn't work,
and it's not something we need to be a party of.
It's a big article yesterday in Axios talking about the
fact that you're seeing more and more Democrats there. We're
not going to do this anymore. We need to figure
this out, because that's what we need to figure out.

(27:54):
How do we approach crime in a way where we're
hard where it needs to be hard, and at the
same time, we can look at redemption because what they've
got going on isn't working in certain places and we've
seen that. And with violent crime rates in Democrat cities
absolutely well, they may be down a little bit in

(28:16):
some areas, they're up in others, and people are pissed
and angry, and from New Jersey to New Mexico, more
and more people are on the Democratic Party saying we
need to figure out how we fix this problem. Well,
you got to admit there's a problem, and then you
have to go and try to fix the damn thing.

(28:37):
And it's not going to be with hugs and lollipops,
although there's nothing wrong with lollipops. I think we know
that coming up a little this day in history. But
first Prize Picks Kids, Prize Picks. Yes, Prize Picks is awesome,
did well this weekend and you should as well. Let
me tell you about Prize Picks. First and foremost, download

(28:58):
the app us my co chat. I'll tell you why
that's important because you're gonna get fifty dollars instantly when
you play a first five dollars lineup. What's a lineup?
Two or more players, so not one, but two or
more players. You're picking their projected stats, and it could
be in any sport and you're picking more or less.
It's that simple, Okay, that's how you said a lineup.
There you go, easy to do and like this week

(29:19):
their max discount. So yesterday was Jalen Hurts was gonna
throw more than a half a yard. Yes he did,
all in the first half, but still he did. That's
simple to play. Then you pick the more or less

(30:02):
It's good to be right. This is the Jad Benson Joe.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
If you liked talk radio like Chad Benson likes his meals,
you've come to the perfect place for takeout.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
What a football game last night? Can I just say
that I had it wrong. I thought it was going
to be a win for the Packers, but it wasn't
a win or a loss. It was a tie.

Speaker 13 (30:33):
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Green Bay's Jordan Love had
three touchdown passes a piece in regulation, but a fifty
three yard field goal kicked by the Packers Brandon McManus
even the score as time expired. Green Bay head coach
Met Lafleur.

Speaker 11 (30:46):
Obviously didn't come down here to tie a football game,
but that's what happened the Cowboys.

Speaker 13 (30:50):
Brian Schottenheimer.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
It's definitely one that I will remember.

Speaker 13 (30:54):
A rare forty to forty overtime tie.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
You know what's crazy about that too, the tie and everything.
I can't wait to see what the numbers are for
Sunday Night Football because you had the Cowboys, which is
always gonna pull right. They're America's team, but they're the
most well known team on the planet as far as
you know the NFL is concerned. Secondly, it's primetime and

(31:23):
you had the Packers, you had Mica coming home Parsons.
There's no doubt that it pulled a massive number, a
huge number, as did I'm sure the Bills and their game,
but really the Ravens and the Chiefs pulled the big
number as well, even though the Ravens stunk it up,
by the way, yesterday not great seven six in one

(31:47):
because there was a tie. So that's a push a
couple games tonight. I don't know why they're doing this
this two games on Monday night foot not that I
don't mind it. I mean, I just wanted to let
you guys know that I don't mind this at all,
but it's kind of an odd thing. But I'm wondering
if it's because it's you know, we have a chance
to dominate the television world, and why not have one earlier?

(32:11):
Because I will tell you I fell asleep again last
night in the middle or third quarter because I had to
get up so early. Plus yesterday my daughter decided at
two point fifty it was time for her to get up,
so Dad got up with her. Yay, Oh my lord.
All right, let's have some more fun, talk about stuff,
talk about things, talk about history. We love doing it.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
You know what time it is, what's upind in time
a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Now it's time for this day in history. We look
back on this set to find out what the famous
things took place. It's kind of what famous things took
place on this day in history, this day in history,
in the year of the Lord, twenty twenty five, we
sit upon die September twenty ninth, ninth, ninth ninth. But

(33:02):
at other times in history you had things happen on
this day in history. Seventeen eighty nine, the US Army
was established. Congress authorized creation of the un United States Army,
replacing the Continental Army after the Revolutionary War. On this
day in history, eighteen twenty nine, Britain's first police force
was established, the Metropolitan Police of London, nicknamed Bobby's after

(33:25):
Sir Robert Peel, began operations which set a model for
modern policing. The Stay in History nineteen eighteen. Allied forces
pushed back in WW one nineteen fifty four. In this
day in history, CERN founded. The European Organization of Nuclear
Research is established in Geneva, which would later become the

(33:45):
home of the large Hadron collider. On this day in
History nineteen fifty seven, West Side Story premieres, And on
this day in history two thousand and eight stock market
crash DAL fell seven hundred and seventy seven points. It's
the largest single to drop at the time after the

(34:05):
House rejected the bank bailout remember that during the financial crisis.
So they rejected it and then down it went in
a way we go, just there it goes the crash.
Also on this day in history, in nineteen eighty two,
in Japan, the first CD player went on sale, changing

(34:27):
the world of music forever. Interesting that albums are making
a comeback, but not so much CDs. You know why,
because how cool you can make a CD player is
not as cool as the vinyl the album of the
whole nine yards. That's why the youth love it. Three

(34:50):
two three Now you know it took place on this
day in history, September twenty ninth. Love doing things like that,
you know what, It's good. I think we need it
and we need to find out. We need to look
back on things that took place on this day in history.
Stock market crash I was a big deal. I remember

(35:12):
that a lot of people do. It was a massive
deal because of the bailouts or the lack of bailouts,
and eventually there were some bailouts. Not everybody got bailed out,
but there were. This this is where we got the
too big to fail. Remember that it's too big to fail.
Three two, three, five, three, twenty four to twenty three
at chatmentson shows, your acts, your Insta, YouTube, Facebook, and more.

(35:34):
I love hearing from all of you right here in
the Chad Benson Show. Coming up our number two of
the program. More on what's going on with the shootings,
the latest there. We have a problem in this country
and we need to start getting serious about addressing the
fact that we have a lot of men who are
unstable who are angry, who are struggling with PTSD, identity problems,

(36:01):
you name it. And they are taking up arms and
killing people, innocents for no reason, and it is not
getting better. We have to start asking ourselves what is
the issue in this country that other countries just don't have.
If you're missing this show, read the podcast Our number
two Straight Ahead, Chad Benson's show.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
No, I don't think the troops should be there because
constitution matters. But here they come Portland. Are you ready
for it? But the troops show it up? What I know? Why?
Because the chaos, the craziness, the lunacy, the attacks day
in and day out, NonStop, the insurrection happening. You have

(37:14):
no rights? You a state have no rights? Well, chat,
what about the rights of the citizens? What about the
city and the state handling their business? And that the
way it's supposed to be? Am I wrong? I mean?
Is this what? So they're going in? What are they
going to do? Protect the ice area? The federal they're

(37:40):
worried about the shootings that are going to take place
potentially there. I don't, honest to goodness, I don't know.
I think, in my mind, this is more of a
show than anything else. And I'm not saying that what
took place in Dallas last week, which was horrific, the
shooting can't happen elsewhere. I mean, I think we know

(38:00):
what we've got going on. I mean, my god, they're
shootings every single day. WTF, America, what the hell's going on?

Speaker 14 (38:06):
This?

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Though, this is a constitution issue.

Speaker 15 (38:09):
What's developing over in Portland is essentially a response to
what we recently saw over in Dallas. The President himself
quoting and of course the Attorney a General using those
examples of cities like Dallas where they just had that
ice facility attack, using Chicago as well as another city,
saying that those exact cities are going to be targeted

(38:29):
because of certain violence that they have seen.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
So now the one the federal area is you know,
we saw this in the Summer of Love, because remember
that Portland's just like, hey, let's just let people do
whatever they want. So, yeah, could you, in theory deploy
to federal areas? Yes, but is there really a reason. No,
this is about embarrassing the cities, and some of them

(38:57):
need to be embarrassed. Because let's be real, Seattle, you
let a whole bunch of people take over a few blocks,
you abandon your police station. Portland, when isn't it a
day where people aren't protesting throwing things at a bunch
of young gender studies majors are running around screaming and
yelling about fascism. We'll call those people on TIFA. But

(39:18):
it goes back to states rights. Do they have the rights? Yes?
Or no? Yes they do? Is this really needed? Did
they call? See? There is phone calls that have been
made to governors that we need the help. Case in point,
New Mexico. Michelle Luhan, governor, she got a call from
two cities who are dealing with a explosion in violence

(39:42):
and drug crimes. Ask for the National Guard. She got it.
This isn't about that.

Speaker 16 (39:48):
This isn't The President has sent agents here to create
chaos and riots in Portland, to induce a reaction, to
induce protests, to induce conflicts. His goal is to make

(40:08):
Portland look like what he's been describing it as.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Now, are there things in Portland that need to be
worked out? Yes, Portland, you've done a piss poor job
over the last several years of handling business. Is it
better than it used to be? Depends on who you
ask and where you're at. But they've got a lot
of problems with drugs, with homelessness, with a lot of things.
But does it rise to send in the troops kind

(40:37):
of territory.

Speaker 17 (40:38):
Anyone who threatens or assaults our federal officers will be
arrested and charged federally, not in some liberal state court.
Same goes for anyone who's funding and aiding these extremists.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Pambondi getting so close to getting THEE because you know
at TIFA is a terrorist organization and that, but whatever,
and look what they're doing. And this is the question
that my friends on the right of saying, Okay, well,
what do we do with their terrorist organization? They are

(41:13):
mostly young, well to do, rich kids, upper middle class,
over educated in bs, liberal politics at liberal arts colleges
throughout the country, but mostly on the West Coast, who

(41:33):
run around pretending like they're some sort of fascist bashing
group and they're not. They're LARPing around. There's no leader. Now,
if you want to go after the money that you
know pushes us out there, some of the people, like
the soross I, have no problem with that. I mean,

(41:54):
if you're going to do that again, I've said that
that he is. You know, he's done a damage to
this country via his funding of liberal DA's everywhere. That
is far greater than a lot of this other stuff
they talk about. That being said, I feel this is
overach and I'm a constitutional kind of guy. I don't

(42:16):
know about you, but just because Trump's doing it doesn't
mean you should celebrate it. We want to see states
have their rights and keep their rights, and they weren't
called in, So do with that what you will. That's

(42:37):
my feeling. I'm a states rights guy, I'm a constitution guy.
This is an overstep. Absolutely, shootings again this weekend, speaking
of chaos, more shootings, because that's apparently what our nation
has become, just a nation of people shooting at each
other NonStop and killing each other because you're pissed and
angry at the world. Again this weekend, their horrific act,

(43:02):
this time at a church. Now, well, first of all,
let's let's let's let's figure out which one we're going
to talk about first, because there was not one, there
was not two, but there was three. So you had
a North Carolina shooting. Oh, you had a shooting in Texas. Oh,
and then, of course you've got the shooting yesterday in Michigan.

(43:22):
Where should we start. Do you want to start with
the Texas one? Yeah, let's start with that one. Let's
go in order of how this stuff broke down. So,
Texas shooting casino? What the hell happened there?

Speaker 13 (43:34):
It was around midnight at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle casino
when the commotion started.

Speaker 18 (43:38):
Oh, they was like fireworks.

Speaker 13 (43:40):
Vanessa was at the casino.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
They noticed that it was not fireworks.

Speaker 18 (43:43):
Someone was shooting.

Speaker 13 (43:44):
She hit the floor as the gunman fled. More than
seven hours later, and one hundred and eighty miles away,
thirty four year old Carrion Jones was arrested after a
police chase near San Antonio. He's held on two counts
of capital murder. Investigators have not publicly offered a theory
about the mote.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
Don't know about that one. But that started out Friday,
and then we move into Saturday, North Carolina. These two
coming next have some similarities. White dudes served in the military,
served in a rock PTSD, serious issues.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
In Many of the victims were visitors just here on vacation.

Speaker 5 (44:23):
It's a peer where the end is and his boat
was right out there and there's nowhere for nowhere for
anybody to go.

Speaker 4 (44:33):
And investigators have charged that suspect. He's being held in
jail with al bond and is expected to appear before
judge tomorrow. The DA's office is considering the death penalty.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
So that's North Carolina. So he rolls up in his
boat and he shoots into the Fish Company restaurant. And
his name is Nigel Edge. That wasn't his real name.
He changed his name. He is struggled in numerous ways
with PTSD, the fact that these allowed to have a weapon,
had a weapon. How did he get the weapon? How

(45:04):
did he keep the weapon? When many people knew he
was struggling. He had sued several churches and organizations who
had claimed well, in his mind, he had claimed that
they were trying to kill him and destroy him because
he was a straight male and there was this LGBTQ
plus white supremacy group coming to get him. And it

(45:25):
was again mental illness right there. What the hell is
going on with men in this country? Whether it is
the struggle through PTSD and IRAQ, and boy, have we
done a solid job taking care of our veterans or
young men who were struggling in a major way to

(45:46):
find any purpose in life and then decide to give
up blackpill themselves and then go out and do something heinous.
So we moved from Texas to North Carolina to Michigan.

Speaker 19 (45:57):
Yesterday, local investigators descending on this Mormon church after a
gunman drove his pickup into the front doors during a
packed service, opened fire with an assault rifle, and then
set the building a blaze. At least ten people were wounded.

Speaker 1 (46:13):
Pointed his gun at our car and fired three shots.

Speaker 19 (46:15):
Our affiliate WXYZ and Detroit interviewing congregant Brian Taylor.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
Two of them went through a windshield and just missed.

Speaker 19 (46:22):
Me, who was escaping in his car when he encountered
the shooter.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Four people dead as well as the shooter. Also served
in a rock four years had been struggling with depression PTSD.
Probably again another situation where people struggling with mental illness

(46:48):
who've been trained by our government and also lied to
by our government, had the opportunity to pick up a
weapon and kill people. Why this one, I have no
idea so far. The social media side of things points
to is a family. Dude had a kid who was

(47:09):
struggling with a disease about insulin whereas pancreas produces too
much insulin, and because of that, he tried to raise
some money on go fund me. They raised like three
thousand dollars. Seemed to be a guy that liked hunting
and you know, family guy. But something snapped once again.

(47:31):
Issues in America? Why is it happening here? More and more?
I think we know we've got an issue. I think
we know a vast majority of this is mental illness
and people who are going down dark paths, sometimes on
the internet, sometimes struggling coming back from war. Why is

(47:53):
it here? Why does it happen here? More? We need
to figure this out. We have a US issue in
this country that needs to be addressed. And I said
it last week and I'll say it again. If you
think this is the only thing that's going to happen
between now and the end of this month or at
least October, you're fooling yourself. It's awful, but it's true.

(48:16):

Chad mensage, you're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
This story is crazy. An educator who has been extremely
successful at several different education levels, teaching, being a principal,
and then eventually being a superintendent was arrested on Friday
in Iowa and A not supposed to be here here

(50:18):
illegally and b already had gun charges against him way
back in the day. How at God's name did he
get to this point where he was a superintendent? I
don't know.

Speaker 14 (50:29):
Iowa school Board voting unanimously on Saturday to put the
superintendent of the Des Moines Public Schools on leave. Doctor
Ian Roberts was taken into ice custody on Friday, leading
to protests within his district. Now, despite the outrage, the
Department of Homeland Security says the educator was in the
country illegally and had previous charges of illegal weapons possession.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
In previous charges, who is doing any of the background checks.
By the way, he was also in the Olympics. He
was in the eight hundred in the two thousand Summer
Olympics in Sydney. He came in next to last in
the preliminary heat, but he got to go, so he
went to Saint John's. Okay, So here's a guy. He

(51:14):
comes here and he becomes a student student athlete, goes
to the Olympics and apparently hangs out and stays here.
He was a principal among other things. But he's a
superintendent and they caught him with cash guns. He ran,
He ran, and I go back to this who's doing

(51:37):
the background check? Who is just out of curiosity. There
was nobody who knew that he had any of these issues,
that he wasn't supposed to be here working. Nobody knew,
nobody looked into it at all, I says.

Speaker 20 (51:52):
Roberts fled from agents Friday before being taken into custody
with a loaded handgun, three thoughts, thousand dollars in cash,
and a knife. DHS says he was an illegal alien
from Guyana who had no work authorization and had been
ordered a final removal order. Now court record show he
previously pleaded guilty to a firearms charge NPA, and according

(52:18):
to The New York Times, Roberts attorney agreed with the
board's decision to place him on paid leave.

Speaker 20 (52:32):
District officials say they're focused on keeping schools running smoothly
while the community asked for answers and waits for those
answers to hopefully come here soon.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
Who did the background check? My assumption is nobody. Maybe
he just said, hey, you know what I get. I
gotta go down and get this taken care of. It's
a mistake, and they just let it be. Let me
know what you think. Meanwhile, we moved to the budget.
I talk about it very rarely. I give it about
ninety seconds here because we know how this ends. They

(53:04):
eventually pass a CR and go, yay, look how great
we are. We did our job.

Speaker 21 (53:10):
Democrats are demanding a new funding bill that reversus Medicaid
cuts and extends expiring Obamacare subsidies to prevent health insurance
premiums from rising from millions of Americans Republicans are pushing
for a more simple short term funding fix to keep
the government running until November twentieth. A shutdown would mean
millions of federal employees, including members of the military, TSA officers,

(53:31):
and ICE agents, would work without pay until the government reopens.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
There you go, and like I said, they'll go celebrate
it as they do every time. It's like, I can't
believe we got through that. Now. The Democrats, if they're smart,
are going to push hard in all of these things.
They're not smart, so we recognize that. But if they were,
they would hold out absolutely make it about affordability, which
they won't. They'll figure something else out that's insane, and

(53:59):
they will. They should go full Tea Party version on
the Democrat side as far as holding out and pushing
hard and saying we're doing things for the American people.
But instead they'll come out and go he's a fascist.
And I'm like, oh, because that's how is that never
worked ever? And it's still not working. You're missing the show.

(54:20):
Grab the podcast. It is the Chad Benson Show, then
Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
Free Speech is Amazing. Dana White last night was on
sixty minutes and talking about all kinds of stuff. The
man is fhere. We're going to get to that. White
boys are struggling. We're talking about it throughout the day,
in particular white men I've lost their blaanking mind and
are taking to the blackpilled area of evil, nihilism and

(55:08):
hatred in some cases, and others who are struggling with PTSD.
And we've got serious issues here in this country, especially
young men, and healthy masculinity is something that needs to
be talked about, and we will touch on that in
a second. But one of the things they brought up
was free speech. And I'm a big free speech absolutist constitutionalists.
You guys get that, understand what I'm talking about. When

(55:30):
I you know, all the people who got pissed off
about what was being said about Charlie. He even brought
that up last night.

Speaker 22 (55:37):
I'm a big believer in free speech and unfortunately probably
the most important speech to protect in his hate speech.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
You're not a fan of cancel culture.

Speaker 22 (55:47):
No, I hate it on both sides. It's like all
the stuff that's going on with Charlie right now. You know,
these people are going out and saying stuff and you know,
you're seeing people getting.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
Fired or kicked out of skin.

Speaker 23 (56:00):
They should be fired.

Speaker 22 (56:01):
I think you're a disgusting human being if you're celebrating
the death of another human being. But people make mistakes
and people are going to do dumb things. I don't
like trying to destroy people's lives overdoing something dumb.

Speaker 2 (56:17):
Well, people do say stupid things, they say disgusting things.
Do I think that everybody needs to be fired for it? No,
I think everybody needs to recognize a lot of young
people say horrible things and sometimes again, there is there's
consequences to speech. There's no doubt about that. There is

(56:38):
consequences to speech. But the right has taken up this
kind of you know, woke right kind of feel, and
a lot of what it is isn't so much the
woke right. What are they they're doing that they're trying
to They feel like they're evening score, right, That's what
they feel like, they're evening the score because you know,
go look, you know, we're just talking last week about
the COVID. They finally came out out all the big

(57:00):
companies like, yeah, we were totally pressured by the you know,
the Biden administration totally pressured us. So they feel like
there's some some you know, let's get back at them.
And I'm not a big fan of that. People will
say stupid things. People will say some stuff that is
absolutely horrific, There's no doubt about that. And a caller,
and again, you can always call us, leave a message.

(57:22):
I got several of them. I haven't had a chance
to get to and I will try to get to
everybody's here, but wanted to talk about this very same subject.

Speaker 24 (57:28):
I'd like you to speak about political correctness. Things are
going crazy. Anyone that gears to criticize fully Kirk in
any way, shape or form is getting fired. I mean,
isn't that political correctness going a muck? I mean, if
back in the so called woke days, if someone says

(57:50):
something incorrectly about gays or transgender or whatever and they
were canceled the people on the right, we're going crazy.
I mean, this is ridiculous. ABC Disney just canceled Jimmy
kim Home because he said something quote unquote that they
deemed inappropriate. I mean, come on, I think the reason

(58:13):
they did is they're afraid of Crump.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
Appreciate that. And you did have the right number, and yeah,
there is a certain amount of that. Some of it
was so vile though, And if you're working with children
and you're saying certain things like this, then yes, you
know what, there's gonna be some comeuppance if you work
at as I said, if you're a barista and you
work at some places, I expect you kind of feel
this way about Charlie. And as awful as it is now,

(58:34):
the question is should people be judged by that moment
in time forever. That's a different question because the right
never wanted everybody to be judged by a certain way,
and I don't think anybody should be judged by their
worst moment in a situation like that on social media.
You know, twelve years ago, you say something stupid in
a game of Halo, and the next thing you know,
it's being brought up. These are different things, but we've

(58:55):
got to protect speech. It's absolutely important. One of the
other things though, that was brought up that I found
fascinating was the manisphere, And let's be real, UFC kind
of leads the manisphere kind of way from all of
the things that you see going on in you know,
the competition to also the people surrounding UFC from the

(59:16):
Joe Rogans and things of that nature.

Speaker 23 (59:18):
You don't think there's a cultural movement. It's a lot
of guys call it the manisphere. You're one of the leaders.

Speaker 22 (59:25):
You don't talk about knowing your fan base and knowing
who they are.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
Who are they?

Speaker 22 (59:30):
Eighteen to thirty four year old males and growing global.
We are definitely unapologetically masculine.

Speaker 23 (59:38):
Can this bubble over to too much? When when you
hear toxic masculinity?

Speaker 2 (59:42):
What's that mean? You tell me, what's the definition of toxic?

Speaker 22 (59:47):
How can somebody be too masculine? Is that a possibility?
Can you be too maskul?

Speaker 2 (59:51):
To tell me?

Speaker 19 (59:52):
No?

Speaker 2 (59:52):
You think so?

Speaker 22 (59:53):
The answer is hell, no.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
No, And we always talk about toxic masculinity. What about
healthy masculinity? Should be strong. It's okay to show feelings,
but dudes should be strong. That's we built this country
in this world through strength, through taking opportunities, taking chances,
doing things that could easily and did easily kill us.

(01:00:18):
There is healthy masculinity, and of course, you know the
toxic masculinity of people out there that are saying ridiculous
things to get a reaction, to grow an audience. And
I bring this up because there's a new documentary out
on CBS about boys in particular who are trying to
find their way, who are struggling, and they're looking for

(01:00:42):
a healthier way, trying to show young men in particular
how to become men, not just young boys and young men,
but actual men.

Speaker 25 (01:00:52):
As you may have heard, the boys are not all right.
It might be a man's world, but young men are struggling.
The experts say, there'strung for a variety of reasons how
they view themselves figuring out what it means to be
a man in twenty twenty five, and there's data to
back up these concerns and education, for example, six percent
fewer boys than girls graduate high school at all, five

(01:01:13):
percent more boys than girls struggle with a mental, emotional,
behavioral or developmental issue. And now a new CBS Reports
documentary is taking a look at all this. How did
it happen? It's called Boys to Men? Why America's sons
are struggling?

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
And they are struggling, and we don't have in a
lot of places male role models that are good schools
in particular, have decided a long time ago as women
and you talk to an old feminist and they'll tell you. Look,
the goal was to raise us up and to give
us the same opportunities. It should never have been about
crushing the man and putting them down. But it's become that,

(01:01:50):
and that is not a good place to be. Schools
have tilted all the way over to young women or
the things that matter. Men. Just deal with it and
shut up. You've had your time. It's our turn now.

Speaker 26 (01:02:03):
Both Stevens and Navarro's mothers say they're immensely proud of
their sons, but sare similar concerns about the challenges confronting
this generation of boys and men society.

Speaker 10 (01:02:13):
It has these stigmas on a man, and like the
pressures of a man and what a man is.

Speaker 26 (01:02:21):
Steven's mom, Joanna, struggles with how to encourage her son
to succeed, an issue she says she doesn't have with
her daughters.

Speaker 27 (01:02:28):
With girls, you need to make sure that they are,
you know, strong. It's easy to say you need to
be strong, you need to be independent, you need to
you know, look after yourself and be in control. And
with boys, you can't really say that because if you
tell a boy you need to be in control, it
just sounds wrong, and both boys and girls are important
because I have a daughter who's an amazing kid, who's successful,

(01:02:50):
who's strong, who's independent, and then I have a son
who I also want the same for him.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
But you can't say that because if you want the
old way, is it, because it'll make you know it's
we need healthy masculinity. Being strong is okay, Being a
man is okay, being a leader is okay. There's nothing
wrong with that. It's how it's going about being done.
And we've talked about, you know, you go and look
at all of these you know, manisphere people out there,
and they push the envelope because again, it's about likes,

(01:03:18):
it's about clicks. But young men, even men who have fathers,
are trying to find their way because they don't know
how to navigate, because dad doesn't know how to navigate anymore.
Because things that we thought were totally fine they're not
fine anymore.

Speaker 28 (01:03:31):
And what's happening here is that for the last few decades,
we as a society had been focused on improving access
to education and improving opportunities for women. And that's all
a good thing, and that's been incredibly successful. Some of
the metrics that you pointed out earlier in the intro.
You know, women are outperforming men in grade school, they're
outperforming in graduation. Rates in college have skyrocket, and this

(01:03:56):
was largely the domain of men for many, many years.
And it's also showing up in the workplace and at home.
People are forging fewer relationships and marriages as a result
of this sort of malaise that afflicts men these days.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Hence the reason we have so many problems. And then
you toss in politics, where men are going towards that
manisphere to the right, women are heading way to the left,
especially young women. It is a conflict that is smashing
into each other and that is not a good, healthy
relationship for us in the future. There won't be much
of a future if we can't figure out how to
bridge that gap. Let me know what you think. Three two, three, five,

Joe deep states no deep doo doo eeah The Chat
Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
That's out of the program where we get you guys
caught up on the hippies Words of the day. This
is what the kids are using gen z Alpha. They're
using it out there, and you need to know what
it is because you come in contact with them each
and every single day and they may say something and
you think, oh, that's nice. You find out that's not. No, No,
that wasn't a good thing about you. No, Or maybe

(01:06:21):
you're using a word in a way that well you
think it's cool and it's not. You don't want to
be embarrassed about that. You know what time it is? Now,
it's time for the urban word of the day. The
young have a vocabulary all their own, and we break
it down for you. It's called the urban word of
the day. All right, So you guys know what a

(01:06:43):
cougar is, right, lady, not too old but not young,
too old to be in the club looking for a
younger man. Well you know what a zadd he is.
We've talked about that. It's a good looking older dude
that the ladies like. But a bald eagle is the

(01:07:05):
equivalent of a coupar older dude looking for a younger girl.
I'm going to use it in a sentence. John is
a bald eagle, always chasing after eagle scouts. Bald eagle
is your urban word of the day. That was the

(01:07:27):
urban word of the day. Now you know, like we say,
it's always good to know. Speaking of knowing, Dolly Parton
last night made an announcement.

Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
This morning, Dolly Parton is explaining her decision to delay
her upcoming Las Vegas residency by more than nine months,
citing health challenges. The seventy nine year old assuring the
public that she has no plans to retire, saying, don't
worry about me quitting the business because God hasn't said
anything about stopping yet. But I believe he is telling
me to slow down right now. Just this year, Dolly

(01:08:04):
suffered the loss of her husband of nearly sixty years.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
Yeah, there is a lot of people are worried, but
she said, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm fine, Okay, I'm fine.
I Am just trying to get myself in order, lots happened,
get my feet underneath me. She says she got a
couple of health challenges, but for the most part she
seems like she's in good shit. So all is well there,

(01:08:31):
but people freaking out yes raah no no, no no no,
I go go read the whole thing. And she had
to again come out because you know, the outpouring of people,
which is totally understandable, is be real, totally understandable. She
is a she's a legend, and she's a treasure. So
you could be a legend. We're like that guy's a legend,

(01:08:53):
but you know, Jerry Lee is a legend, right, She's
a leg but she's a treasure because she's so amazing.
She's such a great human being. He was not. Jeluli
was not, but he was a legend. She's a treasure
to the world and people love her globally, so she's

(01:09:16):
like one of our treasures. We want to see her. Well,
there's no doubt about that birthright citizenship. We're talking about
it earlier. Several of you have chimed in. You know,
look the way I look at this is they're going
to hear it. I don't know what it's going to
end up being I have a feeling the precedent that
has been set will stay and that if you're born here,

(01:09:41):
regardless of your parents' status, that you're going to be
allowed to be a citizen. But I you know, at
this point in time with this court, I don't know.
I mean, I don't know. I mean it would be huge.
I Mean, here's the thing about Trump. It doesn't matter
which way goes. So many of these things, like we

(01:10:03):
talked about Komy, so many of these things don't matter
as far as the end outcome. Yeah, would he like
to win this, of course he would, But like if
he doesn't, it just riles up the base, which is
a win for him. For Comy, this was a you know,

(01:10:24):
it doesn't matter if he wins or loses. It's about
telling everybody, I'm not gonna let this happen. Look at
how strong I am. I'm coming hard, and you're not
gonna be able to get away with stuff. And it's
not about win or lose. I mean, would he liked
he'd like to win everything? Who wouldn't. But he also

(01:10:44):
understands you throw a bunch of things against the wall.
And this is as much about the base as anything else,
And so do I think he's going to win this. No,
I think they're going to keep the president the same,
although you know, Clarence Thomas has hinted that maybe they
should look at some stuff. President isn't all that it's

(01:11:05):
cracked up to be, and maybe there should be, you know,
a look at certain things. And I think he's talking
about gay marriage in particular, So we'll see what happens
when it comes to that. But I don't think that
they're going to overturn the birthright citizenship in the fourteenth Amendment.

(01:11:25):
I think the way they'll look at it is, if
you guys want the amendment change, you need to do it.
You need to do it. The current controlling precedent is
Wong kim Ark. So this was eighteen ninety eight court
ruled Demand born in San Francisco to Chinese parents who

(01:11:46):
were not US citizens, was indeed a US citizen by birth.
So and with that kind of set up, unless you're
an enemy occupier or you're a diplomat, any buddy born
here is a US citizen. Let me know what you think.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four twenty three

(01:12:06):
at Chad Benson Show is your Acts, your Insta, your YouTube,
your Facebook and more. We're going to try to be
live on YouTube tonight. I got new cameras and stuff.
We're working out here, so we'll be there right around
seven o'clock Eastern if you have a chance to join
the program or here with The Chad Benson Show coming up,
our number three of the program, more on the shootings

(01:12:30):
again horror, and we continue to ask the question, what
the hell is going on with young men and men
in particular in this country that are in a position
of such pain and anger and hate that they need
to kill people? To what even the score with who?

Speaker 12 (01:12:52):
With what?

Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
We're going to discuss that. We'll also got more on
what's going on in Portland because not a believer that
this is a good idea because of the whole thing
with states rights and the Constitution. Talk a bit about
that as well a bunch of other stuff trying to
at Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
I'm calling them Trump troops and they're heading into Portland.
By the way, they're coming to Memphis this week. How
long are they going to be here? I don't know,
but they're coming to Memphis this week, could be coming
to a town near you, so you better watch out.

(01:14:00):
I don't think you're taking this serious. Here's the way
I look at this, and I'll continue to say this. Constitution,
states rights, those things matter. This is a show. I
don't like it, but alas here we are.

Speaker 6 (01:14:09):
The Department of Homeland Security claims protesters have repeatedly attacked
and laid siege to a nice processing center in Portland.
As Attorney General Pam Bondi declares, Justice Department agents will
be sent to ICE facilities to safeguard federal agents.

Speaker 17 (01:14:25):
Anyone who threatens our assaults our federal officers will be
arrested and charged federally.

Speaker 6 (01:14:32):
Trump has already sent National Guard troops to Los Angeles
and Washington.

Speaker 12 (01:14:36):
D C.

Speaker 6 (01:14:36):
And this week ordered troops to Memphis, Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
How long are they going to be here? Don't know
what are they going to do. They're not going to
be armed, so in Memphis, they'll be walking. In Memphis,
where are they going to be? I've heard they're only
going to be in the federal areas, i e. The
federal courthouse, where as many people have pointed out, there's
no crime going on there, but this is a show

(01:15:05):
and Portland, you've done a bad job over the years.
Let's be real, let's be fair. You allowed the Summer
of Love to be crazy wacky. You allowed left wing
lunatic kids to run around and like spoiled children, break
a bunch of stuff and feel that they were doing

(01:15:25):
something as they fight fascism. That's kind of been a
you problem. Among other things. The homelessness. I mean, there's
not a date that goes by that I don't get
some sort of text from somebody in Portland who goes, yeah,
so saw two people having sex in the bushes today.
It's like, okay, what do you do? You've allowed this

(01:15:47):
happen to yourself. Now that being said, no, they shouldn't
be there. I don't think that there is this need
this insurrection, as they call I don't think that's going on.
Have the ice facilities and some of the this is
a reaction to what took place obviously Dallas last week,
which we should all worry about. That we've got these

(01:16:10):
people that are so pissed and angry at something, not
quite sure what it was, right, because you know, the
is we try to figure out why all these shootings
are going on. There's a lot of different things that
are happening here. You've got PTSD some cases, you've got
this nihilism and anger in other cases where they're mad

(01:16:31):
at anything that has to do with being born essentially.
And then you have some people who potentially are mad
at a singular thing, whether it's ice or who knows
what choose. So there are plenty of issues. Do I
think though, that we should look at the constitution say nah, No,

(01:16:55):
I don't I know that we should do that, But
yet here we are.

Speaker 12 (01:16:58):
President Trump has directed all necessary troops to Portland, Oregon.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
The number of necessary troops is zero zero. I would
agree with that. Now, if they asked you to come
in and protect, that's a different story. They didn't. Michelle Luhan,
New Mexico, she was asked she's a governor by two
mayors in smaller cities because they were having issues with

(01:17:26):
gang violence and drugs that had just kind of taken
over and gripped these small areas. Can you send the
National Guard in? That is a different story. This feels
like it's a show, and I don't want the constitution
to be something you could do showy and we shouldn't
have that. Sorry, it's not who we are, it's not

(01:17:47):
what we're about. And if you think that going in
and putting some sort of stopgap measure in place to
slow crime down or to guard the federal building for
a little bit is going to fix the problem, that
isn't going to happen. I mean, how long have we

(01:18:10):
talked about, you know, the lunacy of the purple hairs
and Antifa and whatnot in places like you know, Seattle,
Portland really more than anywhere else, but yeah, even you
know San Francisco, Berkeley area, sometimes down in LA and
wherever there seems to be a good old fashioned let's
go have some fun and break some stuff. Yes, that
being said, these cities and states have to deal with

(01:18:35):
this stuff on their own. Sending troops into Memphis, as
I've been saying this over and over again, battling people here,
that doesn't fix the problem long term. It's a show,
but it doesn't fix the problem. And the problem started
long before Trump and long before Biden, and long before

(01:18:55):
Obama and Trump and everybody. This is a problem that
has happened for years, and yet, especially in the inner city,
we have no fathers and homes. They don't seem to
have any hope, and it's just a vicious cycle over
and over again of poverty into crime, into prison or

(01:19:15):
death and then rinse and repeat. We need to figure
out how we fix the school systems and give kids
the opportunity to have hope, and to give them the
opportunity when they have that hope, for something to hope
for and to work for. But going in and stopping
stuff for several days or weeks and then leaving didn't

(01:19:39):
fix anything. I would say, it's just like knocking down
the statues. Right, this Confederate soldier was racist, and you
knocked the statue down. It's like, Eh, did that fix anything? No,
you just knocked the statue down. Didn't fix a damn thing. Nope, nope, No,
let me know what you think. Three two, three, five, eight,
twenty four to twenty three. Atch you had Benson shows

(01:20:00):
your ex, your Insta, YouTube, Facebook and more. Meanwhile, today
bb and at Yahoo meeting with Trumpster about what's going
on in Gaza and Friday, Trump basically kind of gave
him a little Hey, you know what, M not going
to happen you going to the West Bank. Now that
being said, I don't think Bibe really cares. I think

(01:20:20):
if he wants to go to the West Bank he will.
But there's no doubt. You saw the people walk out
on his speech on Friday in the UN and there
is no doubt in my mind that patience is wearing thin.
And bb though, is going to do whatever the hell
he wants to do, and his party's going to do
what they want to do. And that's what this is about.
This is about him and the government of Israel, not

(01:20:42):
the people, not the country. This is about being able
to question them well.

Speaker 11 (01:20:51):
As we stand here in the Middle East, the region,
it's potentially at a pivotal moment as getting a deal
in Gaza to bring the fighting to an end. This
is a cornerstone the President's foreign policy agenda. That's why
there's going to be such a heightened focus on this
meeting here at the White House between President Trump and
Prime Minister Benjamin NETANYAHUU To be clear, nothing has been

(01:21:11):
agreed to yet publicly from all of these sides, but
we are anticipating on the document discussion. This twenty one
point plan that has been obtained by the Times of
Israel gives a roadmap a potential idea of what a
deal could look like. This twenty one point plan, in
particular ending the war immediately, the release of all forty

(01:21:32):
eight hostages, both living and dead, destruction of Hamas's military capabilities,
even amnesty to those who agreed to coexistence with Israel.
We know that meetings have been taking place throughout the
weekend in order to bridge any gaps that remain between
the White House and the Israelis. The President has remained
confident that he believes they're close.

Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
I don't know. I don't know how close they really are.
So both parties, I mean, look, UMAs, we shouldn't have
to say it, but we have to say it because otherwise,
if you don't, they're like, oh, you support the terrorists.
They're bad, they need to go. We all recognize that
you can't stand over people and control everything that they

(01:22:22):
do and not expect to pushback. And that is what happened.
You funded them, which people don't like to hear. Then
they find out, then they don't believe you. So what
else am I going to say? This is not something
that's going to be easily done. And I continue to say,
if you go and you move two million people somewhere.
Where are you gonna put them on? What's that going

(01:22:42):
to cost us? Because you think Israel's paying for that? No,
we will pay for it. We're already paying for enough.
We've got farmers who are struggling. We've got issues when
it comes to our funding of the government already, and
now we're going to be asked to pay god knows
how much to relocate how many people. So serious questions

(01:23:05):
to be asked here, And Bibe, I think his eyes
are much bigger, and the West Bank is a part
of it. And I think they'll come in, they'll shake
hands today, they'll do the usual stuff. He'll talk about
how great Trump is for Israel and blah blah, blah blah,
and we need to fight this. And he's gonna say
the thing that he always says, which is we are
the ones protecting you from everybody else. No, No, you're not.

(01:23:31):
I'm not worried about Iran. I'm not. I'm not worried
about Iran. I'm not worried about the Hooties. I'm not
worried about any of those groups. So try it somewhere else.
Others may believe that right they've bought into us like, well,
if it wasn't for them, Iran would blow us up.

(01:23:52):
First of all, it's our weapons and money. Secondly, no,
they wouldn't. They wouldn't. They don't have that power. They don't.
The guy in Russia he's got that power, but Iran No.
So this will be interesting see how this goes, because

(01:24:13):
not only does how this goes and place itself out,
but how it goes in a way where once all
of this is said and done and we look like
we're moving in this direction, how does BB flip it
and say, well, we have to continue to push forward. Yeah, yeah,
that's what I'm talking about. Three two, three, five, three eight,

(01:24:33):
twenty four to twenty three act had Benson show, it's
your acts, your instant. Let me know what you think there.
And I'm sure somebody you are gonna call me anti semi, etcetera, etcetera.
I get it every single day. It's not about the people,
it's not about the country. It's about the government. And
damn it, we should be able to go out and

(01:24:54):
criticize a government that we think has a lot of issues,
seeing as we can do it to our government and
everybodybody else's government. But one government, Oh, Yeah, Yeah, that's
all I'm saying right there. Birch Gold, Baby, Birch Gold.
Why gold, because it's a smart thing at a time
of unrest globally, at a time when interest rates is

(01:25:17):
it too late? We do we wait too long at
a time when the dollar is weakened, and I do
believe going to be even more of a situation where're
gonna see it weakening even more. Gold is a place
that you're going to want to put yourself in. So
let me tell you this right now, and we'll be
blunt as possible. Burch is going to help you get there.

Speaker 1 (01:26:34):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Now it's time to find out what's trending. What's trending?

Speaker 29 (01:26:42):
Sign James Dean, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, ser.

Speaker 18 (01:27:01):
Lot trumping.

Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
All right's fine, I was trending on this Monday. We're
gonna start over with the uh Ryder Cup. It's embarrassing,
first of all, the way the Americans played the first
two days. Secondly, and maybe most importantly, the way the
crowd reacted at times towards the Europeans. It's one thing

(01:27:26):
to give him hell, it's another thing to be embarrassing.
Hurricane Amilda, she's on her way. Donald Trump, North Carolina shooting,
Michigan shooting, a lot of shooting's going on. And when
I'm talking about the one in Texas as well that happened.

(01:27:47):
Lots of shootings. We have a problem, as we have
talked about throughout the show today. Over to Google, Michigan
shooting number one thing, Dallas Cowboys, Bad Bunny, It's gonna
be the halftime show the NFLE Super Bowl, Yaguar's forty
nine Ers, Packers and the Cowboys. What a game? What

(01:28:13):
a game? Indeed, Big Brother finale, Eric Adams dropping out
bye and Hurricane mberto lots of hurricanes heading in though
the MLDA one has a chance to have massive flooding,
So putting that out there. And finally over to Twitter,

(01:28:37):
number one trending thing in the magical world of Twitter.
Bad Bunny, Packers Monday motivation. Ashley, that's Big Brother again.
I've never seen Big Brother once. Then I'm happy to
say that Mormons Metallica Christian identity. What we'll talk about

(01:28:59):
that in a second. Puerto Rico Sala Soccer three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your ex, your Insta, your YouTube, Facebook? And more?
Right here on the Chad Benson Show, Moldova happy to
get more too, All things trending in the magical world

(01:29:21):
of x a lot of things trending. The whole thing
about the Christian identity is very interesting as well as
it's trending, and we should talk about that. Let me
know what you think. The ADLs has said the Turning

(01:29:42):
Point USA is essentially a hate group, so, and Elon
Musk has pointed this out. It ill hates Christians. Therefore
they are a hate group. So and any Christian identity
that you have may be considered a hate group. Now,

(01:30:08):
the way they're looking at this, many consider Jews to
be Satanic offering, an offspring of Eve and the Serpent,
is the way that they're pointing it out. Yeah, but
you've got Turning Point up there. I don't quite think
that was the thing. And so alas here we are.
This isn't going anywhere, this whole thing is. I mean,

(01:30:29):
I talk about it and I get hammered for it
all the time. And this is not This is about
you putting on your critical thinking when it comes to
the government of Israel. I don't think Turning Point was
a hate group, but some do. Okay, are they a
hate group? To the point where the ADL, the Anti

(01:30:51):
Defamation League needs to put them out there as a
hate group. I don't think so, but again, let me
know what to think. Three two, three, five, twenty four
to twenty three actche Benson Show, It's Your Acts, your
Insta YouTube and more. This is the Chad Benson Show,
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:31:26):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:31:29):
It's now time for ninety seconds of the budget battle.

Speaker 6 (01:31:34):
Right now, things are very icy on Capitol Hill.

Speaker 30 (01:31:36):
Those sort of bipartisan negotiations that we often see happening
behind the scenes aren't happening. And so while it is
very likely that that could still take place in the
event that we do walk into a shutdown, in ways
unlike we've really seen in modern history, there's just not
a lot of conversation going on, and so there is
a risk that if the government shuts down, it could

(01:31:56):
be quite a while before a solution is reached.

Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
So, well, they won't they We'll find out. The only
thing that bumps me out is pay for in particular
our soldiers. But they do this all the time, and
they run around, They're like, well, we want this, and
the other sides like we want that, and they all
scream and yell and they we're never gonna get it done.
And then maybe it shuts down, maybe it doesn't. If
it does, sometimes it lasts a little bit some and

(01:32:21):
how long is it really gonna last? Is it going
to go on forever? And then sometimes it's that you know,
that shuts down the breaking news everywhere, and then two
hours later, right, you know, they're all slapping each other
on their back. We did our job. It's like, oh, great, fantastic.
So whether it does or doesn't, it's gonna happen whatever
side that is, whether it does break down and there

(01:32:42):
is nothing and we never get a budget and eventually
we fade away, or that they come to some sort
of cr continuing resolution and punt it out a month
and a half, which is normally the thing that happen
because they can't ever do anything like adults when it
comes to stuff like this. Because yeah, government, there was
your ninety seconds almost on the nose of government shutdown talk.

(01:33:07):
So this weekend we've talked about it throughout the show. Shootings,
shootings and more shootings. Started with the shooting in Texas. Okay,
you probably didn't hear about that because by the time
that had happened later on that day, there was another
shooting followed by yesterday' shootings. Are we all keeping keeping

(01:33:29):
count here?

Speaker 13 (01:33:29):
It was around midnight at the Kickapool Lucky Eagle casino
when the commotion started.

Speaker 18 (01:33:34):
Oh, they was like fireworks.

Speaker 13 (01:33:35):
Vanessa was at the casino.

Speaker 1 (01:33:36):
He noticed that it was not fireworks.

Speaker 18 (01:33:38):
Someone was shooting.

Speaker 13 (01:33:39):
She hit the floor as the gunman fled. More than
seven hours later, and one hundred and eighty miles away,
thirty four year old Carrion Jones was arrested after a
police chase near San Antonio. He's held on two counts
of capital murder. Investigators have not publicly offered a theory
about the motive.

Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
So why he did it, we don't know. Is the
possibility a love spat that went wrong possible? Is it
possible he was angry at the casino, It's possible. Is
it possible that there was beef and he fired willy nilly,
It's possible. It's possible he's nuts again. All possible. So

(01:34:18):
that's Friday. We move into Saturday and we have a
shooting in a way that is a float by shooting.
So normally if drive by shootings or massacres and all
these kind of things now this was all boat based.

Speaker 4 (01:34:32):
The many of the victims were visitors, just here on vacation.

Speaker 5 (01:34:35):
It's a peer where the end is and his boat
was right out there and there's nowhere for ran, nowhere
for anybody to go.

Speaker 4 (01:34:45):
And investigators have charged that suspect. He's being held in
jail with al bond and is expected to appear before
judge tomorrow. The DA's office is considering the death penalty.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
So his name is Nigel Edge. That wasn't always his name.
He changed his name, and he has a lot of issues.
These next two, him and the other guy we'll get
to in a second, have a lot of issues. PTSD
went to IRAQ. This guy was pretty well decorated, Purple heart,

(01:35:17):
bronze star, all of this stuff. He was of the
belief that a group of white follow with me, a
group of white supremacists LGBTQ members, were trying to kill
him because he was so straight. Apparently, he was so

(01:35:38):
straight that this happened that he had to get back
at them. They had already tried to kill him. They
tried to kill him in a rock apparently, and that
this was something that he felt he needed to do.
I guess because he was not well, is what I'm thinking.

(01:36:00):
From there, we moved to, obviously yesterday and the horror
that was another former military man driving into a church
in Michigan, a Mormon church, few hundred people inside, and
going after them, including shooting as well as lighting the

(01:36:23):
church on fire.

Speaker 19 (01:36:24):
The terror lasting and agonizing eight minutes into authorities as
shot and killed the gunman, who officials say it was
a former Marine and an Iraq war veteran, A spokesperson
for the LDS church telling ABC News and places of
worship are meant to be sanctuaries of peacemaking, prayer, and connection.

Speaker 2 (01:36:41):
We pray for peace and healing for all involved. Who
is he is a guy that had been struggling PTSD again,
his mother had even brought this up, and lo and behold,
something happened yesterday. Something. Why it happened is the big question.

(01:37:03):
The other guy who was, you know, Nigel Edge, who
believed that the white supremacist LGBT group was coming after him.
I think we know that the elevator stops in between floors.
This guy at that that's a different experience. People are
still trying to figure out, Okay, you went, you shot

(01:37:25):
up a church, no rhyme or reason. It doesn't seem
to have any relationship with the church. I'm sure we're
going to find some of these things out and there's
a lot of stuff that's floating around out there. But
seemed to be just a normal dude.

Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
Doot you say. The suspect, forty year old Thomas Jacob Sandford,
is a marine veteran who served any Rock a fundraising
website from twenty fifteen indicating his son was born with
a rare genetic disorder, the treatment for which apparently took
a financial toll on the family. Sandford is quoted in
a local newspaper saying, don't ever take having healthy kids
for granted. Spent four years in the Marine Corps and

(01:38:02):
was in Iraq, and this is still the most unique
thing to deal with.

Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
So his son has a disease where his pancreas produces
too much insolent, and they had raised some money. I
don't know how much they needed. I don't know if
the church was involved in some way, shape or form.
They seemed to think it was targeted, targeted towards two
and then they were trying to maybe draw some correlation
from the head of the LDS church who passed away.

(01:38:29):
I think it was yesterday or the night before. And
this again, I think mental illness played a massive role
in these two shootings. You had men who had served
our country honorably, men who had seen death upfront. Who

(01:38:54):
I mean, you're gonna think about this for a second.
And I talked to my friends who had been, you know,
in situations where yeah, they ended up taking people's lives,
and they said, it's it's an odd thing. I remember
my friend who lived next door to us for he
was in the first Golf, in the second golf or
not golf, but he's the first Golf war and then

(01:39:15):
the fight against terrorism, and he said, it's a weird thing. Man.
It's like you're there, you go, you fight, you get
into skirmishes. Sometimes there are not a lot of you know,
it's nothing big deal. Other times it's horrific and it's terrifying,

(01:39:36):
and and then you you kill some people. And then
you go home and you're home and you've killed people
and it's let's go to Disneyland. So we've got a
lot of vets out there that are struggling. We've got
a lot of homeless vets we've got a lot of

(01:39:57):
issues out there that we need to But we've got
a lot of men who are struggling in a major way.
And some of them are going down deep dark holes
on the internets, and some are struggling in other ways.
Some are struggling absolutely in a almost a two lives
world where they live one life in front of everybody

(01:40:19):
else and the other life, which is the one that
is directing them, is dark and scary. And some we
can see right in front of us, these two men, well,
their issue seems to be they were struggling with PTSD
and people knew about it. But how much can you do?

(01:40:42):
It's only so much you can do. And it's a
tragedy that should have been avoided because for people who
served our country, they shouldn't have to suffer in such
a way that they are so angry at the world
that they're going to get revenge and not even understand
what the hell's going on. Because you think the LGBTQ

(01:41:04):
plus white supremacy group is coming for you, that is
a leap. Let me know what you think. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four twenty three Acts had Benson show It's your
ex your Insta, your YouTube, you have Facebook and more.
Love hearing from every single one of you. Last hour,
we were talking about the cancel culture because Dana White

(01:41:29):
was on sixty Minutes the CBS talking about you know,
Charlie Kirk, and we had a call. Somebody left a
message about, you know, people being canceled. Speech has consequence.
As it does, people are also very emotional and they
say things that they shouldn't say. Does it mean that
some people shouldn't be around kids teaching? Yes, I think

(01:41:50):
there's some people who said some stuff that was so
ridiculous that there's no you shouldn't be anywhere near that.
But I also think some people say stuff that's stupid,
they get a reaction, and maybe they don't really understand
what the ramifications are. I'm just not a cancel everybody
kind of person. Some people are, and I understand that,
you know, speech has its consequences, but I also understand

(01:42:12):
that sometimes we have to take a step back and realize, Okay,
well let's let's take a look at this in a
bigger way and could these things be teaching moments? I
think so, Well, let me know what you think. Three two, three, five,

Speaker 1 (01:44:05):
To Jack No, not the country, the institution, the chat.
Benson shown.

Speaker 2 (01:44:14):
What a football game last night? Can I just say
that I had it wrong? I thought it was going
to be a win for the Packers, but it wasn't
a win or a loss. It was a tie.

Speaker 13 (01:44:26):
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Green Bay's Jordan Love had
three touchdown passes a piece in regulation, but a fifty
three yard field goal kicked by the Packers Brandon McManus
even the score as time expired. Green Bay head coach
Matt Lafleur.

Speaker 11 (01:44:40):
Obviously didn't come down here to tie a football game,
but that's what happened the Cowboys.

Speaker 13 (01:44:43):
Brian Schottenheimer.

Speaker 2 (01:44:45):
It's definitely one that I will remember.

Speaker 13 (01:44:47):
A rare forty to forty overtime tie.

Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
You know what's crazy about that too, the tie and everything.
I can't wait to see what the numbers are for
Sunday Night Foot because you had the Cowboys, which is
always gonna pull right. They're America's team, but they're the
most well known team on the planet as far as
you know the NFL is concerned. Secondly, it's primetime and

(01:45:17):
you had the Packers, you had Mica coming home Parsons.
There's no doubt that it pulled a massive number, a
huge number, as did I'm sure the Bills and their game,
but really the Ravens and the Chiefs pulled the big
number as well, even though the Ravens stunk it up,
by the way, yesterday not great seven six in one

(01:45:41):
because there was a tie. So that's a push a
couple of games tonight. I don't know why they're doing
this this two games on Monday Night Foot, not that they
don't mind it. I mean, I just wanted to let
you guys know that I don't mind this at all,
but it's kind of an odd thing. But I'm wondering
if it's because it's you know, we have a chance
to dominate the television world, and why not have one earlier?

(01:46:06):
Because I will tell you I fell asleep again last
night in the middle of the third quarter because I
had to get up so early. Plus yesterday my daughter
decided at two point fifty it was time for her
to get up, so Dad got up with her. Yay,
Oh my lord. All right, let's have some more fun,
talk about stuff, talk about things, talk about history. We

(01:46:26):
love doing it. You know what time it.

Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
Is, what's upon in time a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
Now it's time for this day in history. We look
back on this set to find out what famous things
took place. It's kind of what famous things took place
on this day in history, this day in history, in
the year of the Lord, twenty twenty five, we sit
upon thy September twenty ninth, ninth, ninth, ninth. But at

(01:46:58):
other times in history you had things happen on this
day in history. Seventeen eighty nine, the US Army was established.
Congress authorized creation of the United States Army, replacing the
Continental Army after the Revolutionary War. On this day in history,
eighteen twenty nine, Britain's first police force was established, The
Metropolitan Police of London, nicknamed Bobby's after Sir Robert Peel,

(01:47:22):
began operations which set a model for modern policing. The
Stay in History nineteen eighteen, Allied forces pushed back in
WW one. Nineteen fifty four in the Stay in History
CERN founded, The European Organization of Nuclear Research was established
in Geneva, which would later become the home of the
large Hadron collider. On this day in History nineteen fifty seven,

(01:47:48):
West Side Story premieres, And on this day in History
two thousand and eight stock market crashed Dal fell seven
hundred and seventy seven points, it's largest single to drop
at the time, after the House rejected the bank bailout.
Remember that during the financial crisis. So they rejected it
and then down it went. In a way we go,

(01:48:13):
just there it goes the crash. Also on this day
in history, in nineteen eighty two, in Japan, the first
CD player went on sale, changing the world of music forever.
Interesting that albums are making a comeback, but not so

(01:48:33):
much CDs. You know why, because how cool you can
make a CD player is not as cool as the
vinyl the album the Whole nine Yards. That's why the
youth love it. Three two three Now you know it
took place on this day in history. September twenty ninth,

(01:48:56):
three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chatmanson shows, your ext your instant, YouTube, Facebook,
and more. I love hearing from all of you right
here in the Chad Benson Show. Love doing little things
like that. You know what, It's good. I think we
need it and we need to find out. We need
to look back on things that took place on this
day in history. Stock market crash I was a big deal.

(01:49:18):
I remember that a lot of people do. It was
a massive deal because of the bailouts or the lack
of bailouts, and eventually there were some bailouts. Not everybody
got bailed out, but there were. This is where we
got the too big to fail. Remember that it's too
big to fail. Do you guys have a less rest
of your money? We'll do it again. Tomorrow's always night

(01:49:40):
Night Check.

Speaker 1 (01:49:49):
