Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Right there is people celebrating the release of the hostages.
It is happening. It's been happening throughout the day. This
is a momentous occasion, There's no doubt. So the first
seven this morning, our time happened. These are people that
have been in captivity for two years.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Seven Israeli hostages who have been released in just the
last twenty minutes or so by Hamas into the hands
of the Red Cross and who are on their way
to this ra military base. And I'm going to read
them out to you. They include Ghali and Zeev Berman.
These are two twins who are taken from Kibuutz kar
Asa on October seventh, a ton More who was working

(00:59):
as a secureguard at the Nova Music Festival that day.
You have Omri Miran, a father of two young girls
who has been held for more than two years now.
He was taken from a kibutz in this area, as
well Mattan Angres, and Israeli soldier who was also I
should note, held for a very long time with the
American hostage Keith Siegel, who I interviewed earlier this year,

(01:22):
alone Ohel, who was also taken from the Nova Music Festival.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
He has now been released as.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Well as Guy Gilboa Da Lal. That makes seven Israeli
hostages who have been released from Hamas captivity after more
than two years being held by Hamas. We do not
yet know what their condition is, but we do know
that here at the Reign Military basis where they will
receive an initial medical evaluation.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, it is amazing. Trump is there. It is I mean,
it is a this is a world event. I was
telling my kid yesterday. My seven year old doesn't wait,
get it. But you know, Jack and everybody, we were
talking and Lily, this is history. This is write him
in the school books one day kind of history. Regardless

(02:13):
of how you feel about Trump, regardless of the issues
that people have with Trump. Even watching see an An Goo,
Abby Phillips say, why aren't you guys giving Trump credit?
I mean, the fact is Hillary gave Trump credit, as
has net, Yahoo and everybody throughout Truslim by the way,
Net Yahoo. Every time they mentioned his name anywhere, he

(02:34):
gets booed. But Trump, on the other hand, he is
a conquering hero there. This has to be the greatest
feeling for him. You know, all jokes aside this has
to be a feeling of like he is. He is
a conquering hero.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Mister President, you stand before the people of Israel and
not as another American president, but as a giant of
Jewish history.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
And he's said there going wow. No, I don't think
you understand. The love that is being poured out to
him is something where they look at him different. You know,
Maga is a different world, right. They don't look at
him the same way that Israel is looking at him
right now. They are looking at him in a way
that is absolute, pure joy and love that you've come.

(03:30):
You've taken this situation that was horrific and you have
fixed it for us.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
Whether it ends the war or not, we will have
to see. There so many things to work out, disarming
Hamas governance, and what happens to Gaza, what happens to
those people we've been talking about for so long, and
the loss that they have suffered in Gaza as well.
So there is a lot to work out. But this
is certainly a huge part of President Trump's legacy.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
One percent, Martha ratitser huge part. It's not even close.
I said last week. Domestically, the courts the biggest part
of Trump's legacy is the courts. This overall is a
bigger legacy globally for Trump, there is no doubt, absolutely

(04:26):
no doubt about that. And earlier today being you know
again just the love he is feeling. He is, He's
a conquering hero in their minds. He is absolutely the
hero of the day.

Speaker 7 (04:41):
Thank you for withdrawing from the disastrous Iran nuclear deal.
Thank you for supporting Operation Rising Line, and you will
for your bold decision to launch Operation Midnight Hammer Boy.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Is that you gotta hear this? Just love Netty Host.
Never when is it not a good time to talk
about blowing stuff up?

Speaker 7 (05:19):
This is the most fitting name ever named for a
military operation because a little after midnight you really hammered them.
My friends, this is only a partial list, but it's

(05:40):
enough to affirm what I've said time and again. Donald
Trump is the greatest friend that the State of Visual
has ever had in the White House.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Again, they love him, They love him and understandable he
has been the great That's why when he said last
week or a week ago Saturday, that it's over, that
you're going to take the win, babe, this is it.
We're done. You're taking the wind We're gonna get the
hostages back. You're no longer going to be killing tens
of thousands of people over there and starving them out.

(06:16):
This is not a good look for you. I'm having
to save you from what is becoming nightmare for you.
As far as pr wise not to mention the fact
that there are innocent people of it there that are dying.
I'm having to do this, and you're going to do
it or else. Only Trump gets that done. Only he does.

(06:37):
I can sit here and and you know, I have
been critical of Trump. It will be when there's reasons
to be critical. There's no reason to be critical at
this point, there is it. You know, I watch a
lot of people they don't want Trump to have a win,
and I'm like, good God, it's our country, he's our leader.
Hate him, love him, whatever it is. It's about the

(06:59):
human being's getting a win. You hate the fact that
Trump played a role in it. I don't care who
played a role in it. I care that it got done.
That's it. I care that it got done.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
When you look around Jerusalem and you see the American flags,
and you also at Hostage Square, you hear people chanting
thank you Trump. There is that real sense that people
here believe that it was indeed President Trump that made
the difference and that pushed this over the line.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, he did, and this is a legacy that is his,
even though he thinks he's not getting into heaven. Which
is rather bizarre, this conversation he had with Deocy on
the plane over to Israel.

Speaker 9 (07:46):
You had talked a couple of weeks ago, you were
doing an interview, and you talked about how you hope
to end.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
The war in Ukraine because it might help you get
into heaven.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
How does this help? Does this help?

Speaker 10 (07:57):
I mean, you know, being hellok cute, I don't think
there's anything going to get me in heaven. Okay, I'm
really I think I'm not maybe heaven bound. I may
be in heaven right now as we fly an Air
Force one. I'm not sure I'm going to be able
to make heaven. But I've made life a lot better
for a lot of people. And you know, as an example,

(08:17):
had the election of twenty twenty and I've been rigged,
you would have millions of people living just in Russia
Ukraine alone that would have never happened. And it didn't
happen for four years and I knew Putin very well.
It was the apple of his eye that all the
things I've said would have never happened. We had an
incompetent administration, We had an incompetent president, and because of

(08:41):
a crooked election, millions of people are dead. And by
the way, the Israeli thing was much harder to get
settled because of the best administration.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Okay, there you go. Doesn't think he's gonna into heaven.
Has to talk about the fact that it was stolen.
Just continue. It goes on about that it's not going
to heaven. All dogs go to heaven. Why wouldn't you right,
like the dogs didn't solve this. Are you saying his
dog Now that's a movie if you guys don't know
what that is. But he's settled down, by the way.

(09:10):
Speaking to Ukraine, nightmare in Ukraine continues. But we are
doing what we can to help them. Apparently we hit
some of their energy sites. By we we give them
a lot of help. We help them not only with
the long range missiles but with intelligence to strike some
of their energy assets. Because the more that they can

(09:31):
strike strategic areas that help fund the war, the tougher
it's going to be for Russia to continue said war.
So we'll see, we'll see what that looks like. You know,
Putin's already come out and said, don't do it. You're

(09:52):
starting something here, don't do it. Well, you've been starting
something for quite a while, and everybody's had enough of it,
so that speaking have had enough of National Guard Kerfufflin
going on. Still, what's going to happen? I don't know. Chicago, Pritzker,

(10:15):
Trump and Pritzker, the Pritzker family and the Trumps have
had quite a long sword history at times with one another.

Speaker 11 (10:22):
They're claiming in court that this is about protecting ice
facilities and ice agents and not about crime on the streets.
But then you hear Vice President Vance and the President
of the United States contravening that and saying exactly what
they actually think. They just want troops on the ground
because they want to militarize, especially blue cities and blue states.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
There's no doubt they want to embarrass blue cities and
blue states. And here in Tennessee. The reason it's not
a bigger deal. They're in Memphis is because the governor
he signed off on it, said we need to out
what's going on in Memphis with the crime and because
he requested it. It's different than just thrusting it upon

(11:11):
these cities. It's going to be interesting to see how
these things play out, because where do they always play out?
In court? Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three Act Chadventon shows your ext your insta,
A lot of stuff to get to today. We still
have our scary movie countdown. More on what's going on
in Israel as the hostages have been released. A great day, indeed,

(11:32):
a momentous day and a day that is historic, no
doubt about that. We've got a lot more on that
as well. If you're missing the show showing you get
the podcast. Relief factor is awesome. Let me tell you something.
Watching these doctors here, the talk about the thing that's
best for you is you get a little bit older.
Weightlifting is like the number one thing. Stronger you are,

(11:55):
the better life is for you. The problem is with weightlifting,
whether you're older, younger, especially as you get older. Yeah,
it's sore and you store it for a few days
and then you don't want to do it again. That's
where a relief factor comes in. One hundredercent drug free
research baded formula. It's incredible. I take it every single day,
whether it is one of these situations where I am
lifting a ton of weights or just the natural getting

(12:16):
a little bit older and there's aches and pains with muscles,
sore joints. Guess what, I recover so much faster and
it feels so much better. The formula is safe, non addictive,
ideal for regular use. And right now I want you
to try a three week quick start. Okay, I swear
by this stuff. It is incredible. It's nineteen ninety five,
so that's less than a cup of coffee day. You
will feel the difference you're gonna experience for yourself. Head

(12:38):
to reliefactor dot com. That's reliefactor dot com. You'll find
a natural way to support your body's comfort and you're
gonna keep yourself moving and you can feel your best
every single day. Relief Factor dot com. You will not
be disappointed. This stuff is amazing. Or call one eight
hundred and four Relief that's eight hundred and number four
Relief or Relief Factor. This is the Chad Benson Joe.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
For all the talk of what's going on in the
Middle East, which is huge obviously, in a bunch of
other stuff going on, we forget that. Oh yeah, government's
not working. Now it's time for ninety seconds of government shutdown.

Speaker 10 (13:29):
Talk.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Government currently not working, which is in some ways good
for us because they're not spending money. Bad for us though,
because they need to figure this out. All kidding aside,
If you didn't see the military people in line and
food banks this weekend, that picture's going to be everywhere.
That is not a good look.

Speaker 12 (13:51):
There are essential government employees who are having to show
up and they're not being paid for the work that
they're doing. Then there's another bucket federal employees who have
been fur told don't show up to work and obviously
they're not getting paid right now. That's about seven hundred
and fifty thousand federal workers. And then, of course, amongst
those furloughed workers, there are those who have been fired.
And everyone in each of those buckets is in this

(14:13):
state of limbo where they don't know when they're going
to get their next paycheck. Some have already missed a paycheck.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yes, like I said, that picture of the military that
is a crushing picture.

Speaker 12 (14:29):
Some have already missed a paycheck. The military is supposed
to be paid on Wednesday. We've seen the Pentagon now
scramble to move about eight billion dollars that was allocated
to research and development now to use to pay troops
by that Wednesday deadline. That was an order that President
Trump says he gave Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
I don't know if they're gonna be able to do
that in time, because I do know that, you know,
Trump doing Trump things, firing some people, which I a
big fan of people losing their their jobs. The reality
is is our government's pretty bloated. But you know, we
talk about the government bloated. I've always said this government

(15:11):
can be bloated and inefficient. Government can be big and efficient,
government can be small and inefficient. What we kind of
have now is a bit of bloat and a bit
of inefficiency, and a lot of that has to do
with the fact that we are so far behind modernizing
a vast majority of our stuff. Then the other side
of it is who is Trump firing?

Speaker 12 (15:33):
He said that he would go after quote, very popular
Democrat programs as a result of this shutdown.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chet Benson Shows, Your ex your Insta YouTube
and war right here at the Chad Benson.

Speaker 12 (15:47):
Show, some Democratic lawmakers think about that transportation related funding
and some of the bridge programs and the tunnel programs
in New York that were key for Chuck Schumer, the
Senate Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, the House Minority Leader.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
That's a Trump thing, you know, and I know it.
Good batter and different. That is what he does. Let
me know what you think. But while the government shutdown
goes on, the big news of the day, obviously hostage
is being released Gaza Israel. It's happening.

Speaker 13 (16:16):
My Grandma's released. All the live hostages that have been
released until now are being released today as well. Because
they don't look back, they don't wake up in the
morning thinking about the tunnel.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Just amazing. We'll have more of that coming up with
a little bit a bunch of other stuff to get to,

Speaker 1 (18:00):
The Chad Benson Show, Massive.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Day Today, the hostages are back Trump earlier today give
me a speech at the Knesset, which is their version
of think of the capital right, think of you know,
That's what I'm trying to explain. This is their version
of Congress, the Senate. This is where they meet and

(18:28):
damn good speech again, Big does.

Speaker 15 (18:32):
Twenty courageous hostages are returning to the glorious embrace of
their families.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
And it is glorious.

Speaker 15 (18:40):
Twenty eight more precious loved ones are coming home at
last to rest in this sacred soil for all of time,
and after so many years of unceasing war and endalyst danger.
Today the skies are calm, the guns are silent, the
sirens are still, and the sun rises on a holy

(19:01):
land that is finally at peace, a land and a
region that will live God willing in peace for all eternity.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
I hope so, like a lot of us, hope that
as well. It was a damn good speech Bibe gave
his speech. Actually, Trump talked a bit about bb in
his speech, and maybe he's a little difficult to deal with.

Speaker 15 (19:25):
I want to express my gratitude to a man of
exceptional courage and patriotism whose partnership did so much to
make this momentous day possible. You know who I'm talking about.
There's only one Prime Minister Benjamin Now do stand up.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
And he is not easy. I want to tell you
he's not the easiest guy to deal with. But that's
what makes him great. That's what makes them great. Thank
you very much, baby. Great job. Outside of the Kanesset,

(20:10):
outside of the area in which Bib has kind of
a controlled audience, he was getting booed anytime they brought
him up over the weekend, they were boot him right.
Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Evanka all gave speeches and
they booed anytime they brought a bbe's name. Trump though
he's a hero, it's a conquering hero. He should soak

(20:33):
all of this up. He should soak all of this
stuff up because he is exactly that. He is a
conquering hero in their minds, which is understandable. Speaking of
Netan Yahoo, he does have issues.

Speaker 16 (20:47):
There are people on both sides of this war who
do not want peace. You've got the extremists in Gaza
and Hamas, and you have Israeli religious extremists who've been
saying quite openly that they want the water to continue
and that they want they don't ever want there to
be a Palestinian State, and Benjamin Nahuo has echoed those
calls from the far right in Israel. Now, does he

(21:07):
really believe that or is he just saying that playing
to a constituency that he needs in order to remain
in government.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Probably because he faces a lot of uncertain times ahead,
and that has to do with the fact that he's
facing several trials and investigations. So maybe, but there's no doubt.
We talked about last week, ben Gevere Smotrich. Two of
the most powerful and well known politicians do not want

(21:35):
this to end. We're not happy with what BB agreed
to with Trump, threatened to walk away. One of them's
defense minister and the other one is their finance minister.
And you know, do I think this is going to
be perfection with peace.

Speaker 13 (21:55):
No.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
I think there's going to be lots of ebbs and flows.
I think there's going to be moments where things happen.
But there's no doubt that this is a momentous day
and you can't take that away. What comes in the
weeks and months that's going to be the real, real
hard work. Right now, it is the time to celebrate,

(22:16):
It is a time to get these hostages healthy. It
is a time to look over and see the damage
it was done in Gaza and realize that this is
going to be a rebuild that is a generational thing
for them. So this is a day, though, where people
should be celebrating absolutely three two, three, five, three eight,

(22:39):
twenty four to twenty three at Shed Benson Shows, your
actu insta YouTube and more love hearing from all of
you right here on the Chad Benson Show. The Interesting
Time of Marjorie Taylor Green. So she was on this
weekend with Tim Dillon, the podcaster comedian, and they talked
about a lot of different things, immigration being one of them,

(23:01):
the other one, of course, being healthcare.

Speaker 17 (23:02):
And I'm so disgusted with Washington, d C. I hate politics.
The two party system is extremely broken. It is failing
all of us. And when I look at you know,
here goes another one hundred billion dollars to Ukraine or
thirty billion dollars to Israel, but yet nobody can afford

(23:23):
health insurance premiums. And then I'm getting yelled at by
Republican my Republican colleagues for saying that out loud.

Speaker 18 (23:29):
I'm like this, this is insane, it.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Is absolutely insane. We talked about it at Nauseam. We've
talked about the nightmare that healthcare has become, the broken system,
the crony capitalism, the fact that you're going to see
in the coming days and weeks people's jaws hit the

(23:54):
floor for how much their deductibles, their premiums, their copays
and everything out of pocket is going to go. Do
you think it's going up or down?

Speaker 13 (24:08):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (24:09):
I'm thinking it's going up. Oh yeah, it is no
doubt about that. She also talked about immigration, and I've
been saying this for a while. A lot of people
who want immigration done right, A lot of people out
there who want to see immigration done in the right way,

(24:29):
who want the people gone. Don't want to see how
the sausage is made. And they're seeing how the sausage
is made, and that is making them extremely uncomfortable.

Speaker 18 (24:38):
It seems to a lot of people to be inhumane.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (24:42):
That's hard to watch.

Speaker 17 (24:43):
Yeah, yeah, So I love lake In Riley's mother and
sister of course family, and so I have to say, oh, boy,
do I want to deport any illegal criminal like that?

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Right?

Speaker 18 (24:58):
That's terrific, horrific.

Speaker 17 (25:01):
And having a secure border, oh hell, yeah, unapologetically. Yes,
immigration laws. You have to follow our immigration laws. Those
are our laws me. And you can't go to say
Mexico or Columbia or Brazil and we can't overseay our
visa and not expect to get arrested and deport it.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Like that's just facts, and that is facts. That's reality
right there. But the system's broken. It's been broken for
a long time. People came here, they've built a life,
they've entrenched themselves into our world, and we use their
cheap labor to build things. And to say that magically

(25:43):
we're going to send everybody away and everything's going to
be okay, we're fooling ourselves.

Speaker 17 (25:48):
However, let's be in reality for a minute. The reality
in America is for decades and decades and decades, it's
been whatever administration's turned a blind eye. Even Ronald Reagan
big time changed it big timean my goodness, California, Cali
labor and yeah, yes, and so we have and I

(26:10):
own a construction company. I'm going to speak from very
real experience. We have a labor force in America across
many industries that has been built on illegal labor.

Speaker 18 (26:20):
That's a fact that also cannot be ignored.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
That is an absolute fact. Remember we said this for years.
One wanted cheap labor, the other wanted to think, hey,
we're going to have a voting base one day that
will permanently vote for us, which the left found out
isn't really the case. And so here we are. We

(26:44):
did this to ourselves by allowing this, turning a blind
eye and to think that we're just going to flip
a switch, arrest everybody, toss everybody out of here. People
are seeing out the sausage you made. They're not happy
with that. They're not.

Speaker 17 (26:59):
As a realist, I can say we have to do
something about labor, and that needs to be a smarter
plan than just rounding up every single person and deporting
them just like that. So, and I'm gonna get pushedback
on that, but it's I'm just living in reality.

Speaker 18 (27:17):
From here on out.

Speaker 17 (27:18):
Yeah, And if I'm if anybody's mad at me for
saying the truth, then I'm.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Sorry, Marjorie. Welcome to the world of reality, welcome to
the exhausted maturity. And they're mad because they want you
to affirm their belief They don't want to hear the truth.

(29:44):
kind of turned the mirror on ourselves, which is always
nice too. So it's not just scurs. It is so
many things that play into this. And we've got a
doozy for you today. Are you ready?

Speaker 19 (29:59):
The time has come, So prepare yourself for a journey
of fear from the darkest corner of cinema, the most
bone chilling tales ever told. It's the countdown you've been
waiting for.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Which movie will take the top spot?

Speaker 19 (30:20):
How about a fish tail so big because the jaws
open wide? Or the story of a young innocent girl
battling evil with some help.

Speaker 15 (30:37):
Well, then let's introduce ourselves.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
I'm Damien Karras and I'm that Gavil. You'll have to
listen to find out. Are you ready? Number fifteen? Number
fifteen is one of my favorite movies period, Just a
movie I love here the music in the background, and

(31:02):
it's one of those movies where I actually have the
full costume of Sam here next to me. It was
a movie that came out in two thousand and nine,
was finished in two thousand and seven, but things went
sideways and nobody knew what to do with the movie
because Warner Brothers was going through some stuff and there

(31:26):
was this battle of should they or shouldn't they release it?
Maybe we'll just shelve it for good. The producer was
Brian Singer. He's pretty big in the producing world, like
produced everything you could think of, X Men, X Men,
More x Men, Bamian Rhapsody, usual suspects that we go
on and on and on. And it was directed by

(31:46):
a guy that was up and coming, Michael Doherty, who
said this is his favorite flick, but he went on
to do all the Godzilla movies. We're talking about Superman
X two, crampis everything. So this was like and I
had a cast, dude. Cast was amazing, Dylan Baker and

(32:06):
a Panquin, Brian Cox, just to name a few. The
movie's called Trigger Treet and it's in very interesting way
that they did this movie. It is four stories that
intertwine in this little town and it is incredible, from

(32:27):
the principal serial killer to the school bus massacre, to
the surprise party and then Sam himself. It is awesome.
This is the one night still forget it.

Speaker 20 (32:41):
Costume, all sorts of things, room free.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Be quiet.

Speaker 9 (32:54):
Why you'll bother the neighbors?

Speaker 21 (32:56):
Okay, there's another tradition, always checked your ken.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Halloween so good. So when they originally did the movie,
it had got some buzz, but Warner Brothers was having
some serious issues. There was a bit of upheaval there.
There was a shake up going on. They didn't know

(33:44):
what to do with the movie. Top of that, when
they were going to release it all of a sudden,
the Invasion, the Reaping, Uh, there was Saw for Halloween,
the Rob Zombie remake. They were all coming out of the
same way. We're gonna keep it film for next year.
Then nothing happened, so they went the shop that nobody
wanted it, and finally they got it released for like
a weekend. But it built up a huge cult following.

(34:07):
And the movie is hilarious and it is creepy, it
is scary. It brings in real themes and at the
same time you root for some of the bad and
you root against some of the people. You think those
are decent people. No, it is just awesome. And Sam,
the little creature critter, is amazing in the movie. And

(34:30):
one of the scariest people in the movie is the
serial killer Principle who just wants to kill people on
Holloway night as you do.

Speaker 20 (34:38):
My dad taught me tonight is about respecting the dead.
This is the one night that the dead, all sorts
of other things room free can pay us a business.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Stephen is out there to help teach some lessons.

Speaker 21 (34:54):
There's another tradition very important. Always checked your candy.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Yeah, it's great, it's got were wolves, it's got serial killers,
it has ghost stories, it has humor, and it is scary.
Our number fifteen in a movie, I highly recommend Trick
or Treat the two thousand and seven version. Go watch it.

(35:25):
You will not be disappointed. At Chad Benson Shoe is
your ex your Insta, YouTube, and Facebook. You can reach
out to those across all of our social media. We
love hearing from all of you. Have any suggestions, let
us know as well. We love hearing from you. Right
here on the Chad Benson Show. Coming up, our number
two of the program, more of what's going on in Israel.
Hostage is being released. This in its amazing day and time.

(35:47):
Trump soaking it all up as he should be. And
then the question starts to become, Okay, what's the next
step in this? How does this go? Disarming Hamas is
one thing, but now the rebuild, the host of the rebuild,
how long is that going to take? We talk about that.
Plus the government shutdown. It's in full effect. It's a

(36:08):
picture over the weekend of our military men and women
waiting in line to get food at a food bank
that is not going over well. We'll talk about that
as well. From this to the show Great the Podcast
Hour number two, Straight Ahead Chat Bensie.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Massive Day, Huge Day. There's gonna be ebbs and flows
in this thing. I've told you that over and over.
This ain't easy, baby, This ain't easy, just like we
always joke about poping. Ain't easy. You know what else?
Ain't easy being a peacemaker, especially when you got two
sides that still do not trust each other and would
love to destroy each other. But today, momentous today, Massive Trump.

(37:22):
Earlier today at the Canesse, which is their version of
the Congress, giving a speech about the hostages piece a
new era.

Speaker 15 (37:36):
Twenty courageous hostages are returning to the glorious embrace of
their families. And it is glorious. Twenty eight more precious
loved ones are coming home at last to rest in
this sacred soil for all of time, and after so
many years of unceasing war and endless danger.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Today this guy's calm.

Speaker 15 (38:00):
The guns are silent, the sirens are still, and the
sun rises on a holy land that is finally at peace,
a land and a region that will live God willing
in peace for all eternity.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
I hope. So. Do I think that is going to happen.
I doubt it. Do I think it will happen for
a while. Yes. And I'm not saying overall it can't happen.
I'm not saying over the next decade things can't change
for the better. There's going to be apps, there's going
to be flows, there's going to be stuff that takes

(38:38):
place that is going to cause skirmishes and battles. But
this is a new way forward. This is something that's
never been tried. This is something completely different than what
we've had in the past, which is just you know,
everybody go to your sides and then you know, take
a deep breath, and then it happens again, and everybody

(38:58):
go to your sides and go to your corners, and
you guys come out when you guys can behave and
then they don't and they do it. This is where
we're at in this situation. Only the end of a war.

Speaker 15 (39:08):
This is the end of the age of terror and
death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope,
end of God. It's the start of a grand concord
and lasting harmony for Israel and all the nations of
what will soon be a truly magnificent region. I believe

(39:28):
that so strongly. This is the historic dawn of a
new Middle East.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
I would love that. I would absolutely love that. I
think everybody would love that. But the reality is, at
least at first, it's going to be uneasy. And yes,
I do think, because you've got to understand something. Israel
celebrating today Bbe's party Liquid Party, is not celebrating. They're

(39:58):
celebrating the hostages are back. But there are people inside
of his party that want no part of any of this.

Speaker 16 (40:08):
There are people on both sides of this war who
do not want peace. You've got the extremists in Gaza
and Hamas, and you have Israeli religious extremists who've been
saying quite openly that they want the war to continue
and that they want they don't ever want there.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
To be a Palestinian state.

Speaker 16 (40:24):
And Benjamintan Yaho has echoed those calls from the far
right in Israel. Now does he really believe that or
is he just saying that playing to a constituency.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
That he needs in order to remain in government.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
Some of that might be true, because he still has
a lot of issues ahead that include things that have
nothing to do with the war and all to do
with corruption and trials. But today it should be a celebration.
You can't discount that. You can't discount what has took place.
You can't do any of that. Trump's legacy at home,
and I'll say it over and over again, it's always

(40:57):
been what he's done with the courts, his global legacy.
Though there's no doubt that he played a massive role
in this that no other president at all would have
even tried to do because they always back down to

(41:18):
the Israelis. He did not.

Speaker 6 (41:21):
Whether it ends the war or not, we will have
to see. There so many things to work out, disarming
Hamas governance, and what happens to Gaza, what happens to
those people we've been talking about for so long, and
the loss that they have suffered in Gaza as well.
So there is a lot to work out. But this
is certainly a huge part of President Trump's legacy.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
Absolutely, And speaking of the losses, what is he going
to take to rebuild an area that is devastated? There
is nothing left, nothing left. It is you know, you
see those pictures of the videos of World War two
and they look at Dresden and they look at all

(42:05):
these places that have been bombed where there's nothing left. Right,
There's like a building that's like two or three stories,
but all that's left is like a corner of it,
and then everything else is just flattened. The streets are clear,
but there's just rubble on both sides. That's what Gaza
looks like.

Speaker 22 (42:25):
The rebuilding of Gaza estimated costs fifty billion, fifty four
million tons of rubble to be dealt with, putting in roads,
putting in electricity, water shelter. These are enormous undertakings.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
Yeah, big massive, but it's got to happen and to
get back to do the thing we've talked about for years.
When you have a future and you have a life
and you are building that life, and you have a

(43:01):
mortgage and you have somewhere to be because you have
a job, you know what, you're less likely to do
blow yourself up, kill your neighbor. And that's what this
project is going to entail. And it is a project that,
while it is daunting, it is a generational project that

(43:24):
when finished, if done right, like I said, there's going
to be you know, ebbs and flows and there's gonna
be two steps forward, three steps back, five steps forward,
two steps back, could give the Middle East the peace
it's always wanted. We're going to see, We're going to see. Meanwhile,

(43:48):
while all of that is going on, I don't know
if you're aware of this, we are currently seeing in
a situation where we have no government working. Now it's
time for ninety seconds of government down talk. And the
no government working is important because there's no government working,
but also because it's paycheck week, and when paycheck week

(44:11):
comes out, guess what happens. People who start to miss
start to go places like the military. Picture this weekend
of people in line from the military at food banks.
That is not going over well.

Speaker 12 (44:25):
There are essential government employees who are having to show
up and they're not being paid for the work that
they're doing. Then there's another bucket federal employees who have
been furloaed told don't show up to work, and obviously
they're not getting paid right now. That's about seven hundred
and fifty thousand federal workers. And then of course, amongst
those furloughed workers, there are those who have been fired.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
And everyone in each of.

Speaker 12 (44:46):
Those buckets is in this state of limbo where they
don't know when they're going to get their next paycheck.
Some have already missed a paycheck.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
And that picture for more people this weekend. It will
send me pictures. Go is this real? Because they thought, well,
say it's a I and like it's not AI. It
is real, and not to be confused with Israel. This
is very much a real picture. It is you know
the question of why is our military not get paid? Okay,

(45:20):
I could see why you're not going to pay some people,
mostly it should be the people that should be doing
their job. But I do want to ask the question
really quick, why again is it the military doesn't get paid?
Because you guys need to fight over it. That's why
you have to fight over it, and it being the military,

(45:47):
because you've got to be able to blame the other side,
to try to weaken the other side to get them
to come back to the table and negotiate. That's why. Yeah,
I see that makes sense. Yeah, I know right, And
that's what you gotta do. You gotta shame the other side,
bring them over the table, sham chterm the whole thing

(46:09):
with AI too. Because a lot of people said me,
this is real, its's real, AI is so amazing, and
I don't think they realized how fast that AI would improve.
Whether it's the videos or the pictures or the audio,

(46:30):
it's improved at a level that is frightening. And it's
only going to get more incredible in the coming months.
I mean this time next year, it's gonna be crazy
how good it is. And I saw that Elon Musk
came out and said, yeah, by twenty and thirty, it'll

(46:54):
be smarter than us, Like, yes, yes, it will be.
I mean that isn't the easiest thing to say, but yeah,
there's no doubt, and I think it may be sooner
than that. It is incredible. There's no doubt, but it is.
And people, I ask you this, I implore you to
do this. Take two seconds to put your critical thinking

(47:19):
hat on when you see something.

Speaker 6 (47:21):
And go.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Is this real? And then go look it up. If
nobody else is reporting it outside of that Twitter account
or that Insta or the Facebook or wherever you are TikTok,
then maybe you need to go. I don't know if
it's real, So just and you know what, some stuff's

(47:45):
going to be real that I'm going to go. I
don't know if that's real. Or not, because that's how
good it is, and also because that's how absurd the
world is. But I think we need to more than
ever before, put our critical thinking hats on and ask
ourselves the question is this real? Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at you had benzis show,
it's your ex your Insta, YouTube, and Facebook medicare, which,

(48:10):
as we know, can get to be quite a pain
in the butt. A lot of people out there like
their medicare program. Next thing you know, they're like, I
like my plan and they're like, you can't keep your planning.
What do you mean, Oh, you can't keep it because
they've they've moved on from that, So you've got to
go somewhere else, which is driving so many people crazy.
So so what you do? I want you to talk

(48:31):
to our friends over a chapter. Okay, they're incredible. You
are going to find out that the nightmare that you've
gone through when it comes to medicare and finding what's
right for you, wanting to keep your own it's been
you know how crazy it can be. So this is
what I love about chapter. I said my mother in
law to it. It was awesome. They don't work for

(48:51):
the government or big insurance companies. They work for you, right,
It's that simple. On average, they save their seniors about
eleven hundred a year by just working with Chapter. It
is completely free and you'll get back your options within
under twenty minutes. What snow gimmick, no pressure, just honest
advice from experts. This how you do it. You dial

(49:14):
pound two fifty and say keyword Medicare plan. That's simple.
Medicare is too important, don't risk it. Work with the
partners I trust, which is Chapter Pound two fifty. Say
keyword Medicare plan. That's Pound two fifty, say Medicare plan
and watch what happens. They'll take care of you. At
Chad Benson Show, it's your Acts, your Insta, YouTube and more.

(49:36):
This is the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (49:52):
It was absolutely a tragedy. We touched on a little
bit earlier on Friday. A massive explosion not too far
from where I am here in Tennessee, probably about fifty
plus miles away. And devastation, I mean it was absolute devastation.
And in the second everybody's life changed, I mean gone,

(50:15):
everybody and you know, we sit here, we talk about
a lot of different things, but this was instantaneous.

Speaker 23 (50:20):
Seven forty five Friday morning, in the middle of a
shift change at Accurate Energetic Systems. That's the company, the
munition's company. It's an explosives manufacturing facility here in rural Tennessee,
about fifty miles from Nashville. There was a sudden and
devastating explosion that leveled the facility instantly, killing everyone in

(50:44):
the building. Sixteen people lost their lives in the blast.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Sixteen in a second. I mean, so they have a
before and after, which is weird, but so the before
and after when you look at it from the Google map,
it looks like the before is actually the after because
there is nothing, and I mean nothing left. They made

(51:09):
military explosives. They also did big commercial explosives, so people
who need to you know, mining bringing down I guess
you would say giant hotels, and you know, when they
bring him down with the the explosives that they do,
or they charge them and they all collapse down. It
was horrific. There's just nothing left. This is Sheriff Davis,

(51:31):
who It's a small town and I'm talking about a
small town and everybody knows everybody, and you can hear
it in his voice as to be expected to very upset.
There's a gauntlet of emotions there.

Speaker 8 (51:44):
That's with those folks, and as always we always like to.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Excuse me, ask for prayers and thoughts. He was beyond
devastated because he's met those people. I want to do
my show here locally. I had several people who worked
at the facility text me and talk about what it
was like there and that it was not as simple

(52:12):
as something that you know, you think that it's you know,
you watch those old movies with the Nitro Direutrich listener
and if it just touches, something explodes three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chet Benson
Shows your Extra insta YouTube and more. If you missed
any show, shame when you read the podcast ready in
the Chad Benson Show. It wasn't as simple as that.
So something had to have happened, whether it was a

(52:33):
chain reaction because once it went off, because the only
thing that we have video wise of anything is a
ring doorbell miles away that captured a small explosion, then
instantaneously another big explosion. Meanwhile, the Battle of Chicago continues
to go on.

Speaker 14 (52:53):
President Trump says he wants National Guard troops in Chicago
to fight crime and claiming that Illinois Governor J. B.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Pritzker should be jailed. Vice President JD Vance telling ABC's
This Week, I.

Speaker 8 (53:03):
Certainly think that he has violated his fundamental oath of office.

Speaker 4 (53:07):
That seems pretty criminal to me.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
Ritzker, come and get me.

Speaker 11 (53:10):
I mean, you're dead wrong, mister President and mister Vice President,
and I will stand up for the law and the constitution.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
I hate to say I agree with Britzker, but I do.
I mean, there's no reason to go in there with
the National Guard, none, zero, Nana, Well, the crime crime,
You care about the crime six months ago. You only
care about the crime on the weekends. Are going to
look another twelve people's jah in Chicago. That's it. You
don't care who they are, where they are. And this

(53:41):
goes back to my consequences when it comes to the elections.
They continue to put the same people in place over
and over again, They're going to continue to get the
same results. This is not one of those Well we're
going to stick them over here because we think the
ice facilities could be in danger, and based on some
of the stuff we've including the shootings in Dallas. I

(54:02):
understand that, but you're talking about crime. That's a different world.
We'll talk a little bit more about this, among other
things coming up, as well as your urban word of
the day. Reach out to across all of our social
media at Chad Benson Shell is your extra enc in YouTube, Facebook.

Speaker 24 (54:17):
And more.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
This is the Chad Benson Show, then Chad.

Speaker 1 (54:21):
Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
It is a Monday. We all know Mondays can be
the Mondays. That song, the famous song I Don't Like
Mondays by the Boomtown Rats was based on a woman
who in the UK went and shot up at school.
Well and ask her why she did it, she says, well,
it's not like Mondays. The Mondays can be burr. New

(55:05):
study out numb and unfulfilling. Forty six percent of workers
have considered quitting over emotional exhaustion. What Yeah, it is
a crazy brand new study, and so they ask everybody
give you a one word fulfilling rewarding. Instead, they typed

(55:27):
in words like tired, surviving, unfulfilling, necessary, blah me, adequate, autopilot.
One person simply wrote, I'm here to get paid, Oh yeah,
forty six percent. So half of workers really hate what

(55:49):
they do, full of burnout, can't stand it, and are
just over it, which brings us to this. A lot
of workers are using their PTO to nap.

Speaker 25 (56:04):
So how you use your time off is up to you.
But a new study finds a large number of Americans
are using PTO to sleep rather than go on vacation,
amor sleep. Surveyed one thousand Americans, fifty seven percent say
they've taken PTO or a sick day in the last
year too, specifically lay in bed and rot, meaning they
do nothing only probably scrolling their phone, but basically nothing.

(56:27):
Thirty three percents they've taken multiple days off just to
rest in the last year. Fifty three percent of Americans
feel guilty for doing this.

Speaker 4 (56:35):
Should they?

Speaker 2 (56:36):
That's a good question. This is a lady who wrote
a book, Joel Crawford. She studies this. She did a
book about should you feel guilty about certain things? One
of those things is recharging your body, no matter how
you do it, including taking a nap.

Speaker 26 (56:48):
They shouldn't. That's a huge red flag.

Speaker 27 (56:51):
If you're taking daytime off to rest instead of that's
a red flag.

Speaker 26 (56:58):
For burnout.

Speaker 27 (56:59):
When we're too exhausted to even plan a vacation is
a signal that we are in a workplace culture that
is a business overbalanced, and rest should be proactive and
not the last resort.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
Ooh, I get that, I do now, And here's the thing,
and everybody listening, I bet you guys feel the same way.
Vacations can be exhausting. Vacations can be What you really
need is two weeks of vacation. You need a week
of doing something, you and your family going on vacation, right,

(57:37):
and then you need three or four days to recover.
So maybe ten days off where you leave on a Saturday,
you spend the entire week there, you come home Sunday.
The next week, you have Monday Tuesday off where you recover,
and then you go back to work Wednesday. Why is that?
Because they can be exhausting. Vacations can be that way.
It's not even just about planning them, it's going on

(57:59):
them that can be. I so damn exhausting this weekend.
You guys know me, I work a ton of hours.
I love what I do. I do. I woke up Saturday,
I was supposed to play golf with my buddies and
my head was drobbing. It's hurt and bad, and I thought, oh,
my goodness, me, I mean, it was hurting to the
point where I've I was struggling. I was looking at

(58:21):
my wife card I've never felt this bad, and and
she goes, well, maybe you came down with something. I said, maybe.
I went to sleep at eleven in the morning. I
woke up at five thirty at night. My wife had
made chicken soup. I had some, went back to bed,
woke up yesterday at eight o'clock. My body just said

(58:43):
you need to sleep. And some people at work had
been sick, so that was also something as well. But
sleep is a wonderful thing. I wish I did it more.
I don't I nap better, I don't sleep better. But
people are taking time off to just called a mental
health day. Didn't they start talking about what about like

(59:03):
mental health day? That's interesting because what happens if you
decide to go on to social media, which could be
not helpful in the mental health world.

Speaker 25 (59:12):
So I'm also thinking about social media because when we're
not working, many of us are at home on social media,
scrolling Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, whatever it feels like that's mentally
tolling as well. Do you think social media is another
added element in this right now?

Speaker 1 (59:24):
It can be.

Speaker 27 (59:25):
I mean I am a card carrying, like social media addict.
My husband said, if I just had a life button,
you know, I would love him more, you know, And
that's saying that's great. So it's really important to give
ourselves some breaks, breaks from social media. That can really
and you can end.

Speaker 26 (59:44):
Up scrolling yourself into a dismal situation. So putting some.

Speaker 27 (59:48):
Controls on that there are self that you can use
to monitor and with you know, kind of take a
little step back from being on the screen so much.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Yeah. Absolutely, and it can be. It can be. You know,
like my wife over the last couple of weeks, she
she went and decided to get rid of her social
media for several days because I was on it too much.
It was just becoming too much. So what she did
was she went and she just decided to, you know,

(01:00:23):
uninstall them for a while. She goes, I'm not going
to get off forever, but I want to uninstall them
for a while. And I said, I get that. She goes,
because it could become a succubus. It becomes too much
a part of your life, and it at times can
become very frustrating and scary, gets you too many things
to think about. That's all of the things.

Speaker 25 (01:00:40):
So the survey also finds that gen Z is most
likely to cancel plans in part because of anxiety, lack
of motivation, and procrastination. Why do you think there's this
generational difference, Well, you know.

Speaker 26 (01:00:52):
What I got to I got to clarify something.

Speaker 27 (01:00:55):
Gen Z isn't lazy. They are just literate in self preservation.
They are rejecting that hustle culture that we've kind of
subscribed to and taking those bed rotting days because traditional
models of work and rest haven't been working for them.
But rest without restoration can easily turn into avoidance, it

(01:01:18):
can turn into some really unhealthy boundaries.

Speaker 26 (01:01:21):
So they really know how they get it.

Speaker 27 (01:01:23):
They really know how to pair intentionality with boundaries.

Speaker 26 (01:01:26):
So there's we could definitely take a page.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
From their book, except for the part where they're always
asking us for money. Let's forget about that. No, she's right,
though she's right. They have a certain sense of you
know what, They know when to say no and now
is it overdone? At times we focus on some of
the ridiculousness. Absolutely, but there's nothing wrong with saying, you

(01:01:50):
know what I need. I need something something for me.
I need to do that more. I've got a my contracts,
I have a decent amount of Let's tell my wife,
I think I need a couple of days, I said,
in my contracts. I have a decent amount of time
off built in my contracts. She goes, how many days
you take in this year? I said five? Maybe maybe, maybe,

(01:02:11):
I don't know, because a lot of times what I'll
do is I'll take a day that's you know, like
the third of July into the fourth of July, and
that doesn't really count. So it's I need to be
better at it because I know the fresher I am,
the better I am. And sometimes that's hard because I'm
a like a one man band here.

Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
I think I'm gonna steal that from you.

Speaker 25 (01:02:32):
When somebody asks me, am I tired, I'm going to
say no, I'm illiterate and self preservation, So thank you
for that. One one final thing here. At what point
does laying in bed just become too much?

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Like?

Speaker 4 (01:02:43):
When is it just way too much?

Speaker 6 (01:02:44):
You know?

Speaker 27 (01:02:45):
I think there's something about resting you know, everyone needs rest,
but you know, I think what we need to do
is make sure that use PTO is permission to optimize,
use that time to reflect and reset. Ask yourself, what
one boundary that I can set, what's run routine that
I can soften, What's one thing that I can do

(01:03:06):
to release? Sometimes the healthiest from over is from overconmitting
and not from leaving your city or your town.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
That's so true. So this study on the heels of
the study, the forty six percent of American workers feel numb,
can't stand their job or over it and thinking about quitting.
And the reason behind that, they said, you know, there's
a lot of different things, lack of purpose and meaning

(01:03:37):
in their work. Seventeen percent blamed unclear priorities for the
constant change. Others included fear of job loss, too many
digital meetings or tools, and a lack of real connection
with colleagues. So these are some of the things. So,
I mean, you think about it, this workworld we live in,
it could be stressful and you got to take care

(01:03:59):
of yourself. And I'm learning that as I get a
little bit older, more and more do you do have
to take care of yourself there's no doubt about that.
But I just found it funny that you've got the
gen z is taking paid time off to sleep and rest,
and forty six percent of American workers say, meh, that's
what they think of their jobs. Oh my lord, three, two, three, five,

(01:04:19):
twenty four to twenty three at shed Benson shows your
ex your Insta, YouTube, Facebook and more. Obviously, big story
of the day. What is going on in the Middle East?
An amazing day, to say the least. Donald Trump earlier
today talking about the historic nature of the peace agreement

(01:04:42):
getting the hostages back. He gave a speech at the
Knesset this morning, our time, afternoon, theirs.

Speaker 15 (01:04:48):
Twenty courageous hostages are returning to the glorious embrace of
their families.

Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
And it is glorious.

Speaker 15 (01:04:57):
Twenty eight more precious loved ones are coming home at
last to rest in this sacred soil for all of time,
and after so many years of unceasing war and endless danger.
Today the skies are calm, the guns are silent, the
sirens are still, and the sun rises on a holy

(01:05:18):
land that is finally at peace, a land and a
region that will live God willing in peace for all eternity.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
I love it. I do his We could talk about
a lot about some of the chaos craziness we talked
earlier about, you know, Chicago and Portland and you know,
the authoritarian all the stuff. And he's reshaped our court
system through the Supreme Court. That is something that I
always said would be his long lasting legacy. But this

(01:05:50):
globally is incredible. And what he did to get there,
how he pushed net Nyahu forced net Yahoo to take
it or leave it is also something I think is brilliant.
I think in the years to come, when Trump derangement
syndrome dies down, we'll be able to get some real

(01:06:15):
information and books that come out about the process itself,
especially if it sticks the way that God willing it
hope it does, and how the Trump administration whit cough
right bringing to Jerry Kushner again, but also the other
Arab nations dealing with it, and how Trump really had
to basically go to Bbie and say, dude, this isn't

(01:06:36):
a request. This isn't one of those things where you
take it to your people, you you know, you you know,
toss it around and then come back and tell us
what you think. No, No, no, no, this is here's
the deal. We're doing this because yeah we are okay,
fantastic three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chad Benson showcher X your Insta YouTube

(01:06:58):
and more. Prize picks. Oh yeah, I can say you
about price picks. Okay, First of all, best way to
win cash, all right, this sports season, whether it's baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, football,
because you know the players, you know the teams. That's
what you do, right, right, So what do you do?

(01:07:18):
First of all, you guys said a lineup that's two
more players. Then you set the lineup by picking whether
or not they're going to achieve based on their projected
stats more or less on a certain thing. Here's the
beauty of it. You can go cross sports section right. Baseball,
Do I think Shoeheyo Tani is going to pitch and
strike out five or more?

Speaker 4 (01:07:37):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
Do I think maybe Josh Allen throws more than two
hundred and twenty eight point five passing yards? I do?
Do I think that Jade and Daniels will pass more
than a half a TD? I do? These are some
of the things that you can do in picking your lineups.
I'm not saying you should pick those. I'm just saying, hey,
maybe I did listen. Price Picks is fun. You can
do it in less than sixty seconds. You can win

(01:07:59):
up to two thousand times your money. It is awesome.
Here's the other great thing, and this is big time baby.
Download the prize picks aft today. Use code Chad fifty
dollars in lineups after you play for his five dollars lineup.
That's code Chad to get fifty dollars in lineups after
you play your first five dollars lineup Prize picks. It's
good to be right, Chad Benza Joe.

Speaker 1 (01:08:30):
If you like talk radio like Chad Benson likes his meals,
You've come to the perfect place for takeout.

Speaker 24 (01:08:37):
Taylor Swift is breaking records for the Life of a
show Girl, the Pop Superstars twelve studio album, setting the
record for the biggest first week in music history, with
over five point five million album units sold and more
than one point five billion streams globally and in less
than twenty four hours after its release, Spotify and Apple Music,
crowning the Life of a Show Girl as the biggest

(01:08:59):
out of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
Yeah, she's like massive and stuff. I saw her last
night at the football game. I wasn't there, I was
watching on TV and she was there, and I'm like,
that's gotta be still bulletproof glass at this point in time.
Don't you think I would assume?

Speaker 13 (01:09:17):
So?

Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
She's massive. She is so beyond huge. We have not
seen anything, I'll say this, not since Michael Jackson have
we seen somebody this big and powerful in music or
maybe entertainment. Not since Michael Jackson. That's how big she is.
I mean that, that is how massive she is. It's incredible.

(01:09:40):
It is. Some of you don't like that. I get
it because you don't want her to be because of
whatever reason. I don't know. But the reality is she is.
She's that big. She is that big. And when you
talk about albums, think about this. Nobody buys albums anymore,
and a lot of what she sells are albums old
ghoul albums too, which is also incredible. Speaking incredible, now,

(01:10:05):
it's time for the urban word of the day. The
young have a vocabularity all their own, and we break
it down for you. It's called the urban word of
the day. Speaking of the urban word today, this one
I love I love this one. Kids, Are you ready
for this truth nuke? Truth nuke?

Speaker 21 (01:10:31):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
Tell me? But he can't take holding back on people
and yet tell the truth, no matter the circumstances, no
matter what the outcome is going to be. Dude, I
just dropped the truth nuke about my sister and how
she ruined my family. Oh how about this one, dude?
MTG Marjorie Tayler Green just truth nuke the Republicans. They

(01:10:58):
may get mad at her, but what she said it
was spot on. Truth nuke is your urban word of
the day. That was the urban word of the day, now,
you know, I do know, I see that. Speaking of music,
everybody's mad at Bad Bunny for what. I don't know,
because he's gonna do what perform at the halftime? And

(01:11:20):
watching last week we didn't really get to it much,
but you know, watching was it. Mike Johnson came out,
He goes, I don't know why they picked him. They
should have picked somebody else like Lee Greenwood. Could you
be more out of touch? So Lee Greenwood? Monthly listeners, Hey,
look four and forty seven thousand, we'd all like that.

(01:11:41):
Lifetime streams ninety six millions again, solid bad Bunny by
the way, eighty million monthly listeners one hundred and seven
b with a billion total lifetime streams. So maybe they
made the right choice. I'm just saying, maybe they did it, Chad,

(01:12:03):
So I see that turning point. USA is going to
have their own halftime show All American three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson's shows, your X,
your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook and more right here
on the Chad Benson Show. Coming up, our number three
of the program. A lot of stuff still to get to. Obviously,

(01:12:25):
Middle East huge today, momentous occasion, to say the least.
We got the latest from there. We'll also talk about
Marjorie Taylor Green and what she did say her truth
nuke if you will, about not just healthcare, but also
what she said about immigration, which I find to be fascinating.
Oh and quite frankly, very honest. Plus, we got a
bunch of other stuff to get to. We get you

(01:12:46):
what's trending and it's number fifteen in the Scary Movie Countdown.
Oh yes, I love this one. Comedy, horror, everything rolled
up into one. You will like it as well. Reach
out to us across all of our social media at
our numbers or three straight ahead. This is the Chad
Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Massive, momentous, effing, awesome, the beginning of something. I hope
the job's nowhere near accomplished. But if you can't stand
up every once in a while and celebrate a little
something something, then what the hell are we doing here?

Speaker 24 (01:13:49):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
And when it comes to Middle East, I have been
a big proponent in getting to peace, I've been a
huge proponent of Trump, saying over and over again he's
the only one I think who can get this done.
And he did, and he did. And seeing the hostages
return today, seeing the celebrations on, you know, in both

(01:14:12):
Gaza and in Israel, is amazing. But there's a long
way from this going. Hey, it ended perfectly. No, there's
a lot still to do. But if you can't stand
up and say, damn, Skippy, this was history, what are
we doing?

Speaker 28 (01:14:33):
This is a major day for President Trump, and of
course that's why he traveled there to Israel to be
a part of this massive day for that country, for
the people there, and for the Israeli Prime Minister. He
was there to take credit for working with both sides
to get to this piece agreement, and he did.

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
He worked with both sides in a way that others
hadn't because he is so close with biebe Bb and
him are at times it seemed to be tied at
the hip and Bbe's seemed to have something over him.
Trump forced this to happen. He forced it to happen.
That's amazing. It was incredible he did. He forced it

(01:15:10):
to happen. I let people understood that he was the
one who basically told Beebe, you're taking the wind, shut up,
deal with it, let's go.

Speaker 28 (01:15:19):
You know, the president enjoys a victory lap, So it
was not surprising that he was very eager to make
this trip over there, and also that he wanted to
meet with some of the families of the hostages, who
he had said that he had spoken to over the
last two years and knew what a difficult time it
had been, and he wanted to be there now on
this jubilant day, a day of joy and hope for

(01:15:39):
them after so much stress and sorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
Yeah, and they, by the way, he was welcomed home
like a conqueror, even though that's not his home. I
don't think, and I bet you if he was honest
with you, if he was honest with people, the kind
of love that he has felt there. It's a different
kind of political passion over here that we have. Because politics,

(01:16:13):
you're eventually going to fade out of the limelight. Oh
you will still be known as a president, all those
kind of things, but that's not going to be there
the way that this is going to be there. This
is a different kind of field. This is a different
kind of love that he felt. He spoke today at
the Knesset, their version of Congress, and it was a

(01:16:36):
good speech. There was a solid speech.

Speaker 15 (01:16:39):
Twenty courageous hostages are returning to the glorious embrace of
their families, and it is glorious. Twenty eight more precious
loved ones are coming home at last, to rest in
this sacred soil for all of time, and after so
many years of unseen sing war, in endlest danger, Today

(01:17:02):
the skis are calm, the guns are silent, the sirens
are still, and the sun rises on a holy land
that is finally at peace, a land and a region
that will live God willing in peace for all eternity.

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
I hope so I hope there's a long way to
go in this. There's a long way to go when
it comes to this, and we'll we'll touch on that
a little bit later. But there was no doubt today
was you know, over the weekend whit Cough, Vanka Trunk,
Kushner speaking Tel Aviv, the throngs of crowds, there was

(01:17:41):
just as many American flags as there was Israeli flags.
That was great to see. By the way, every time
they mentioned BB's name, he got jeered and jeered. He's
not He's got a lot of issues. But that being said,
BIB was a part of this, and as much crap
as I get BB and I did, the fact is

(01:18:05):
he may be the most liberal of the group of
people that he's working with in the Liqude Party who
didn't want this to end, who didn't want this to
end because they think it's all theirs and they should
be able to take it do whatever the hell they
want with it. Where on the other side of it,
I think BB maybe that's partly true. The other part

(01:18:27):
is he knows he's got some big trials coming up,
and the quicker that this thing gets over, the quicker
he's going to have to face some of that music.

Speaker 15 (01:18:35):
Only the end of a war. This is the end
of the age of terror and death and the beginning
of the age of faith and hope, end of God.
It's the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony
for Israel and all the nations of what will soon
be a truly magnificent region. I believe that so strongly.

(01:18:59):
This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.

Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
Now, what does it look like in six months or
a year, I don't know. I have no idea. I
don't know what it looks like. The reality is, this
is the first step of what will be a lot
of steps, and some of them will be perilous, and
some of them we will be tripped up. But all
great things, there's going to be bumps in the road.

(01:19:26):
Nothing comes easy, and this is a generational thing. They're
trying to do something that will change that region forever.
That ain't gonna be easy.

Speaker 29 (01:19:37):
It's a terrific day for the hostage families. It's a
terrific day for President Trump, for our national interests. You're right,
we don't know how the story ends. But stories are
made up of chapters. As Richard hass knows he was
very much in the arena now thirty five years ago

(01:19:59):
at the end of the First Gulf War when there
was a great conference in Madrid as we tried to
reset the peace process. Nine years later, President Clinton, in
the last hours of his presidency, made a noble attempt
at Camp David.

Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
We can go on and on.

Speaker 29 (01:20:21):
About the various chapters, but we should make no mistake
about this. This is a victory for President Trump and
for those who wish that we can govern ourselves at
home and around the world, not simply by brute force,

(01:20:43):
but by ideas and civilized norms.

Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
This wasn't a win for Trump. Yes, it's a win
for him in his personal set, but this is a
win for the world. This is a win for America.
There was several other groups of people, including other Americans
involved in this, wit Coough and Cush, as well as
the Katari's as well as you know, Egypt and several
other Arab nations. This was a win for everybody. Yes,

(01:21:09):
Trump got him over the line because he was the
one who had the power to do so, and that
shouldn't be taken away. But this is a win for everybody,
and the weirdness of like, oh, it's a win for him,
it's a win for everybody. Why is everybody eve so bitter?
Why is everything so like, oh he did good, so good?

(01:21:30):
So insane? It is three two, three, five, eight, twenty
four to twenty three Act, You had Benson Show, is
your ex? Your Insta YouTube?

Speaker 11 (01:21:38):
And more.

Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
Meanwhile, while this is happening, paychecks are being missed because
the government ain't open.

Speaker 12 (01:21:46):
Still, there are essential government employees who are having to
show up and they're not being paid for the work
that they're doing. Then there's another bucket federal employees who
have been furloughed told don't show up to work, and
obviously they're not getting paid right now. That's about seven
hundred and fifty thousand federal workers. And then, of course,
amongst those furloughed workers, there are those who have been fired.

(01:22:06):
And everyone in each of those buckets is in this
state of limbo where they don't know when they're going
to get their next paycheck. Some have already missed to paycheck.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Yes they have. Some have missed to paycheck, including the military.

Speaker 12 (01:22:19):
Some have already missed a paycheck. The military is supposed
to be paid on Wednesday. We've seen the Pentagon now
scramble to move about eight billion dollars that was allocated
to research and development now to use to pay troops
by that Wednesday deadline. That was an order that President
Trump says he gave Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
And I don't know how that breaks down or what
that looks like, because there is some confusion of whether
or not he's allowed to do that. If they can
take from that bucket to pay for it, I don't
know if it can get done. Trump will get it done.
And if it's one of those things where you can't
do that, you know Trump he'll It's just way easier
to ask for forgiveness, sentence for permission. And it's hard

(01:23:00):
to look our military in the eye and say, hey,
thanks for all your service. How's that food line treating you?
Because this weekend pictures came out of men and women
in uniform in a food line. That's not a look
that this administration or any administration wants to to see.

(01:23:22):
And this is one of those things where picture's worth
a gazillion words. And this one is a tough one
for the Republicans right now, as well as the Democrats
on both sides. They're feeling it, but they're looking at
Trump and them going, we why don't we do something
about this? And he's hoping to because let's be real,
if he was able to pay the military, Trump will

(01:23:44):
sit this thing out for a while. He will, He
will absolutely do that, and he's going to go after
anything the Democrats deemed cool and needed and necessary and
that they're excited about.

Speaker 12 (01:23:55):
He said that he would go after quote, very popular
Democrat pros as a result of this shutdown, and it's
unclear what he means. We have seen the administration target
the pet projects of some Democratic lawmakers. Think about that
transportation related funding and some of the bridge programs and
the tunnel programs in New York that were key for

(01:24:16):
Chuck Schumer, the Senate Minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries, the House
minority leader.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Yeah, that's a Trump thing right there. Absolutely, you know it,
and I know it. So we'll see what takes place
in the coming days. But last week we heard several
people phone calls coming across you know, when Mike Johnson
was almost c span. You know that were military families
going after him talking about you have the power to
do this, you should be back in session. What are

Hostages being exchanged all twenty remaining hostages under the Gaza
seaesfire deal. Lots of NFL talk Afghanistan. Penn State fired

(01:27:20):
the coach over the weekend. Now they were supposed to
be one of the favorites to win it all this
year in college football and then after going three and
oh they fill a pat. Don't worry though, for the coach,
she gets what fifty million step away? Not bad, not
bad at all. Justin Trudeau, Katie Berry in love, kissing, snoggling. Uh,

music channels, did you? I? Do you think so? I
always joke about the NFL and the power of the NFL.

(01:29:33):
I'm just gonna go through week of September twenty ninth
through October fifth to show you how big the NFL is. Okay,
I'm going to count down the top ten biggest shows
last week NBCNFL Sunday Postgame, Jets, Dolphins, The OT Overtime, NFL, Fox,

(01:29:56):
Sunday Football Night in America, Part three, Monday Night foot
Ball at ABC, Bengals, Broncos, Thursday Night Football forty nine, Ers, Rams,
NBC Sunday Night Football Patriots Bills, CBS, NFL Sunday, and
number one was Fox NFL Sunday, their national game. Do

(01:30:18):
you understand how massive that is the domination of the NFL?
It is insane. No baseball, middle of the playoffs, none
of that stuff. This is our our religion. Fether. If
you want to know what number one streaming is last week,
it was Wednesday. SpongeBob is in there as well, but Wednesday,

(01:30:40):
Wednesday was number one last week. The NFL Gamity cricket three, two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three At Chad Benson Show
is your ex your Insta, your YouTube, Facebook and more.
If you're missing the show, make sure you grab that podcast.
This is the Chad Benson.

Speaker 31 (01:30:57):
Show, Sun Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:31:21):
Well, everybody celebrates as they should. What's going on today
massive When it comes to Israel Hamas peace, the question
becomes what's next? Because Hamas still aren't Israel. Still, while
there's a red line that they are behind, they are

(01:31:44):
not certain that this thing is over. So what happens
next is important.

Speaker 16 (01:31:53):
The first massive hurdle they're going to have to have
a real deep discussions about is how Hamas disarms, presumably
with the categorism of the Turks and the Egyptians and others.

Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
Will they They haven't said they will.

Speaker 16 (01:32:05):
They said publicly in broad strokes that they agree with
the proposal set out by Donald Trump.

Speaker 4 (01:32:09):
But what will that actually look like?

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
That is a good question. I don't know what it
actually looks like and how long it takes, and think
anybody does. But I will tell you this, there's still
pressure out there. You were sitting here and noybody's talking
about net yellow and all of this stuff today. Yeah,
that's great, But inside of his cabinet, there are a
lot of people that did not want this, and probably

(01:32:34):
he was one of them.

Speaker 16 (01:32:35):
There are people on both sides of this war who
do not want peace. You've got the extremists in Gaza
and Hamas, and you have Israeli religious extremists who've been
saying quite openly that they want the wall to continue
and that they want they don't ever want there.

Speaker 4 (01:32:50):
To be a Palestinian state.

Speaker 16 (01:32:51):
And Benjamin Yah, who has echoed those calls from the
far right in Israel, Now, does he really believe that
or is he just saying that? Playing to a constituency
that he needs in order to remain in government.

Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
Maybe some of that's true, maybe some of it's not.
It's hard to tell. I think BB agrees more with
the hard right, but he also recognizes reality, and reality
is we need America in America soured on us, and
Trump told us we're doing this and we don't really

(01:33:22):
have a choice. So here we go.

Speaker 16 (01:33:27):
Donald Trump, this is how he makes a deal.

Speaker 10 (01:33:28):
Right.

Speaker 16 (01:33:29):
He announces the objectives of the deal as though they're done,
and he basically lays down the gauntlet to all the
parties to say, right, well, I've said what I want
to happen.

Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
Now you've got to make it happen.

Speaker 16 (01:33:40):
The trouble is you're dealing with a conflict which has
been going on for decades, in Donald Trump's words, for centuries,
and so quite how that is going to happen?

Speaker 4 (01:33:48):
Well, that is the million dollar question.

Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
Billion dollar question. By the way. The estimate and this
is a low estimate. I don't know, we get these
estimates kind of fake. There's a fifty billion to rebuild Gaza,
probably put it more towards one hundred plus billion, and
ain't gonna be easy. There's no doubt about that, but
it would be generational, but it's gonna take time. And yeah,

(01:34:13):
Trump does do that. Trump tells everybody, all right, this
is what they promised us, and they're like, what we
didn't we didn't do Oh yeah, he says it. I
watch a One of my favorite guys to watch is
these on TikTok is. His watch guy goes out and
he hustles and sells watches and he's got a really nice,
like you know, store front, but he also goes out

(01:34:37):
and he's still that hustler and his friend will call
him and say, hey, man, I need a X, Y
and Z watch, and he goes, all right, I can
go get you one, and he goes out and finds one.
And when he's negotiating with somebody, he's always trying to
get them to say, you know, like they'll say I
can do eleven five, He's all twelve, twelve, twelve. He's
always trying to get him to shake his head twelve
it is twelve. It is because he wants them to

(01:34:59):
promise Okay, yeah, fine, that'll be it. And that's kind
of the way Trump does things. Twelve it is, we're
doing it now, we're doing it. Now we move from
there to Marjorie Taylor Green. She was on with Tim
Dillon this weekend and very interesting talking about a lot
of different things, healthcare obviously being a big deal, and
she you know, we could sit here and pretend that

(01:35:24):
the Republicans are care a lot about healthcare. They don't.
If it hurts them, they care about it. If it
doesn't hurt them really that much, they don't care. I
know that sounds harsh, but that's just the reality of
the way that I view this modern party because they're
about appeasing a certain group of people that in many

(01:35:45):
cases are older, retired on Medicare, have a nice income,
no bills to speak of, and that's a group of
people that I hear from all the time through text. Well,
I don't really care what happens to these people. I
don't care if it becomes too expensive they should have
you know, it's just it's a joke, it is. And

(01:36:06):
so health care is going to be a big issue.
And Marjorie Taylor Green, it's come out, and you know,
she's really broken away from the MAGA sphere more and
more so.

Speaker 17 (01:36:19):
She was on with Tim Dillon and I'm so disgusted
with Washington d C. I hate politics. The two party
system is extremely broken. It is failing all of us.
And when I look at you know, here goes another
one hundred billion dollars to Ukraine or thirty billion dollars
to Israel, but yet nobody can afford health insurance premiums.

(01:36:43):
And then I'm getting yelled at by Republican my Republican
colleagues for saying that out loud.

Speaker 18 (01:36:48):
I'm like this, this is insane.

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Yeah, it is insane. And more and more people are
going to find out how insane that gets as soon
as well, the couple weeks or so, they're going to
be receiving what will be there. Hey it's open enrollment.
Let's see what you're paying next year. Oh my goodness,
is what's coming. And that's going to be an eye

(01:37:12):
opener for a lot of people. The second thing that
you talked about, she talked about a lot of different things.
She talked about Epstein. All kinds stuff is about an
hour conversation. This was big though. This was about immigration.
A lot of people are seeing what's going on out there.
They're seeing the ice raids, they're seeing people get taken
into custody. They're seeing a thing they never thought they

(01:37:36):
would see. But they also wanted it. They just didn't
want to see how the sausage was made. And they're
seeing now how the sausage is made, and it's uncomfortable.
And I have said for a while, if you think
that you're going to get everybody out of here, you're not.
We need to figure out what's the best route forward
for us as a country and to give people the

(01:37:57):
opportunity that want to be here, the opportunity to stay here.
And I've said it, I'll continue to say it. Do
I get frustrated. I was very frustrated the reason that
the Democrats aren't in charge, besides the fact that they
picked the worst thing they could, you know, get behind
each and every time, no matter what it is culturally

(01:38:19):
or whatever it is. Also, I mean immigration was the straw.
I think that truly broke the camels back. And a
lot of people out there that I know who are
really big into hardcore MAGA, they're not thrilled by the
look of what's happening with Ice. They're not They're thinking, Eh,
this is a bit too much, This isn't a win,

(01:38:40):
this isn't you know something that is going to end well,
this is getting people pissed at ICE, and I blame
that also on the cities who refuse to work with ICE.
So the way to you know, it's like, let me
get this right, Governor Pritzker, you want your state to
refuse to work with ICE. Yet if you have somebody
in jail Brandon Johnson, Illinois, and that person has orders

(01:39:04):
to be removed, you will not participate in any way,
shape or form and helping them ICE and working with
them as a partner, because that's somehow evil and bad.
So alas here we are.

Speaker 18 (01:39:19):
Seems to a lot of people to be inhumane. Yeah,
that's hard to watch.

Speaker 2 (01:39:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (01:39:24):
Yeah, So I.

Speaker 17 (01:39:27):
Love Lake and Riley's mother and sister of course family,
and so I have to say, oh boy, do I
want to deport any illegal criminal like that?

Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
Right?

Speaker 17 (01:39:39):
That's horrific, horrific and having a secure border oh hell yeah,
unapologetically yes, immigration laws. You have to follow our immigration laws.
Those are our laws me. And you can't go to
say Mexico or Columbia or Brazil and we can't over

(01:40:00):
say our visa right and not expect to get arrested
and deport it like, that's just facts.

Speaker 2 (01:40:05):
That's facts right there. But the reality is something different.
And the reality is we've got a place where you've
got a lot of people that depend on cheap labor,
whatever you want to call it, immigrant labor, and we
have allowed a system to be built here on that
and we've got to figure out how we decouple ourselves,

(01:40:26):
unwind ourselves whatever it is, without destroying it and treating
people like humans like we should.

Speaker 17 (01:40:34):
And as a business owner in the construction industry and
as a realist, I can say we have to do
something about labor, and that needs to be a smarter
plan than just rounding up every single person and deporting
them just like that. So and I'm going to get
pushed back on that, but it's I'm just living in
reality from here on out. Yeah, And if I'm if

(01:40:59):
anybody's mad at me for saying the truth, then I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:41:02):
Don't be sorry. And you know what, reality is a
good place to be. Everybody wants to be affirmed, they
don't want the truth. Sometimes the truth isn't perfect. Three two, three, five, three, eight,

Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:42:44):
As we wrap up the show, we count down the
twenty greatest scariest movies through all time, and we've got
a great one today. Remember these movies are based not
only in the fear factor, the fright, all of that stuff,
they're also based the cultural impact that they had. And
this one is a cult classic, even though it should
have been a much bigger movie. But this is what

(01:43:05):
happens in the world of Hollywood, and boy, what a
nightmare this was. But you know what, we still got
to see it and it is still amazing. And if
you want to know, yes, I have a costume of
one of the characters and it's right next to me.
Let's get to it.

Speaker 19 (01:43:18):
The time has come, so prepare yourself for a journey
of fear from the darkest corner of cinema, the most
bone chilling tales ever told. It's the countdown you've been
waiting for. Which movie will take the top spot? How

(01:43:40):
about a fish tail so big because the jaws open wide?
Or the story of a young innocent girl battling evil
with some help.

Speaker 21 (01:43:56):
Well, then let's introduce ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:43:58):
I'm Demion Karas got Cole.

Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
You'll have to listen to find out. Are you ready?
Number fifteen? Number fifteen is one of my favorite movies period,
Just a movie I love. He had the music in
the background and it's one of those movies where I

(01:44:24):
actually have the full costume of Sam here next to me.
It was a movie that came out in two thousand
and nine, was finished in two thousand and seven, but
things went sideways and nobody knew what to do with
the movie because Warner Brothers was going through some stuff

(01:44:44):
and there was this battle of should they or shouldn't
they release it? Maybe we'll just shelve it for good.
The producer was Brian Singer. He's pretty big in the
producing world, like produced everything you could think of, X Men,
X men more X Men, Bamian Rhapsody, Usual Suspects, and
we go on and on and on. It was directed

(01:45:05):
by a guy that was up and coming, Michael Doherty,
who said this is his favorite flick, but he went
on to do all the Godzilla movies. He we're talking
about Superman X, T crampis everything. So this was like
and I had a cast, dude. Cast was amazing, Dylan
Baker and a Panquin, Brian Cox, just to name a few.

(01:45:30):
The movie's called Trigger Tree and it's in very interesting
way that they did this movie. It is four stories
that intertwine in this little town and it is incredible,
from the principal serial killer to the school bus massacre,

(01:45:52):
to the surprise party and then Sam himself. It is awesome.

Speaker 20 (01:45:58):
This is the one.

Speaker 21 (01:45:59):
Night still forget your costume, all.

Speaker 20 (01:46:02):
Sorts of things.

Speaker 9 (01:46:04):
Room friend, be quiet, Why you'll bother the neighbors?

Speaker 21 (01:46:15):
Okay, there's another tradition. Always check your kid.

Speaker 26 (01:46:28):
You're thinking how to be are now.

Speaker 2 (01:46:43):
They hate holloween so good. So when they originally did
the movie, it had got some buzz, but Warner Brothers
was having some serious issues. There was a bit of
upheaval there. There was a shakeup going on. They didn't

(01:47:04):
know what to do with the movie. Top of that,
when they were going to release it, all of a sudden,
the Invasion, the Reaping, there was saw for Halloween, the
rob Zombie remaker. They were all coming out the same way,
We're gonna keep it filling for next year. Then nothing happened.
So they went and they shopped it. Nobody wanted it,
and finally they got it released for like a weekend.
But it built up a huge cult following. And the

(01:47:26):
movie is hilarious and it is creepy, It is scary.
It brings in real themes and at the same time
you root for some of the bad and you root
against some of the people. You think those are decent people. No,
it is just awesome. And Sam, the little creature critter,

(01:47:47):
is amazing in the movie. And one of the scariest
people in the movie is the serial killer Principle who
just wants to kill people on Halloween night, as you do.

Speaker 20 (01:47:57):
My dad taught me tonight about I'm respecting the dead.
This is the one night that it's dead. All sorts
of other things. Room Free can pay us a business.

Speaker 21 (01:48:10):
Steven is out there to help teach some lessons There's
another tradition very important, always.

Speaker 2 (01:48:21):
Check your candy. Yeah it's great. It's got werewolves, it's
got serial killers, it has ghost stories, it has humor,
and it is scary. Our number fifteen in a movie.
I highly recommend trick or Treat the two thousand and

(01:48:42):
seven version. Go watch it. You will not be disappointed.
