Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
The government is closed, but we're still open. You know
what I'm saying, we are We're still open. We're still
here because we work. That's what we do. We do
our jobs. When will the government reopen? What a question?
When do you think it? Could it be? Today? No? No, no,
not happening.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Government is closed, and we have the Senate that's going
home for the remainder of the week and weekend. So
the next time they could vote on this would be Monday,
day twenty of the shutdown.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Day twenty the earliest. Remember Mad Mike, that's what they're
calling him, Mike Johnson, now Mad Mike. He says he
wants to be a happy Mike says he will not
even think about voting until the after I Hate America
protests happening this weekend. We'll talk about those coming up
in a little bit. So what's the hubbub, what's the
hold up? What the hell's going on?
Speaker 4 (01:01):
And so today marks yet another day of American family
is feeling the very real personal and economic strain of
this reckless decision that our Democrat colleagues keep making. They
want the United States government to remain closed, and they
seem not to care about the pain that it's caused.
They have offered no plan, they have offered no strategy,
they have offered no common sense path forward for ending
(01:21):
this situation. And so many of you have asked, all
of us, how will it end? We have no idea.
It's up to the Democrats and they have to decide it.
And judging by their outrageous behavior, the Democrats appear perfectly
happy to keep the political theater going while real people.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Suffer because it's not affecting them in the polls yet,
and you're still keeping it closed because it's not affecting
you and the polls yet. That's the way modern politics works.
Polls matter more than people. And this is what We've
got a lot of questions though about what's open what's
not open. I'm getting that a lot more as people
start to realize, oh, there's a lot of things to
close the government government because it's it isn't until affects
(02:01):
your life that you go, oh, I need to pay
attention now.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
Longer a shutdown goes on, the more that you see
this impact on services, just to tick through a few
air traffic controllers they are actually required to work, but
because they're not getting paid. A lot of them are
calling in sick of telehealth appointments. That's a big thing
that's happened. Just since the covid era. People on Medicare
can get those telehealth appointments. Those are now almost impossible
to get except under very rare circumstances. Other things like
(02:24):
natural disaster funding, FEMA funds, those things are in peril
if it goes longer.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
And it's going to go longer. I mean, there's no
doubt about that. It is going to go longer. So
I've got a lot of people ask me about social
securities that still go out. Yet those things are, but
there's some questions about some of the other stuff that
may go out this month but maybe not next.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Can I still get food stamps during a shutdown? The
SNAP program, which is known often as foodstamp, is continuing
at least through this month, but states are already starting
to notify people that if this stretches into November, there
may be some states that are administering the program that
don't have the funding, don't have the financing, and they
may be curtailed at some point if this goes a
month or longer.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Would I be surprised to see ago a month or longer,
I didn't think would go on this law. I got
that one wrong. And so the polls, I think the
polls coming out this weekend are going to give a
much clearer indication on which way it's head. Think of
it this week? You ever played video game where you know,
like Mortal Kombat is one of those things where you
have your life bar how much life you have left,
(03:26):
and you can see it. Every time they punch you,
it goes down, and every time you know, you know,
you punch him, it goes down. And that's where these
poles are right now. Both of them have enough life
that they feel they could sustain what's going on because
it hasn't bitten them in the butt. It's coming down
a little bit. But which one's going to get to
zero where they go, oh, we're losing. Now we have
to come in and talk. Good question. Speaking of talking
(03:48):
No Kings protest this weekend, big doings at the No
Kings protest across the country. And remember the No Kings
is the as Mike Johnson put it, the I Hate
America just takes us the I Hate America rally or
whatever he called it. It's happening all over the country
(04:09):
and I'm telling you, you know, it's going to be
interesting see how many people come out. Some states are
getting ready for it. Some states are ready to roll Texas,
you ready.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
Thousands attended the No Kings protest in Austin four months ago.
At around a dozen people were arrested. This time, Governor
Greg g Abbott says he's deploying the National Guard to
the state capitol. In a statement, he called the event
a quote Antifa link demonstration.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
So they're coming after. So this will be interesting to
see how this this weekend goes, because several people that
I know say, you know that they're just itching to
have a fight. They want that there to be a skirmish,
they want there to be tear gas and stuff they
can put out on the internet. And who's going to
(05:00):
do it first? And you know, what is this all about? Ice?
It's all about And you know, you had a guy
arrested in Dallas who's on TikTok as they recruit people
the cartels, and he's asking for anybody in the Dallas
area if they would be you know, willing to essentially
pick up the gun and go out there. And kill
an ICE agent and get ten grand for it. Nice move.
(05:23):
They arrested him, Thank god for that. But you know
you're gonna hear so much stuff this weekend about this.
No kings, it's a protest. And somebody emailed me over
the last couple of days about this, because you know,
antifa's the bad evil thing. Antifa' is the thought, right,
I want you guys to think, right, critical thing is
(05:44):
what we tried to do here. Is it a group?
I mean there's twenty of them somewhere. It's a group.
Speaker 7 (05:51):
But are they Are.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
They a gang? No? Not really. I mean they're just
a bunch of people that came together off a flyer.
Well that's not very organized. Well that is organized. We've
got to get to the bottom of it. And I've
been saying this, if the money is what they're going after, now, okay,
so we're gonna go after the money. Where's the money
come from? Where's this? That and the other? And I
(06:14):
sit there and I think, if you can prove that
Antifa is being funded to cause riots, yeah, you go
after them. If the proof is in your mind that
they're bad and that I don't like their politics, and
(06:40):
that you shouldn't give to them. That's that's speech, free speech.
So we got to be careful when you go after them,
whoever them is. Like this weekend, it's a lot of
the No Kings money that's been poured into I think
it's one of the Waltons if I'm correct, Yeah, the
(07:02):
same Walton said no, not the ones living on the mountain,
the ones who did the Walmart thing. So but you're
going to see it from Dallas, you know, to Nashville,
to New York and Los Angeles all over this weekend. Austin, Oregon,
obviously Portland there's a No King rally all the time there.
(07:22):
It will be interesting to see the way that this
is handled, because it's going to be blamed no matter
what happens. And I've been to I went to the
last one. It's just mostly a bunch of people having
fun and a lot of people they're out there for
different things they are do. I think a vast majority
of what they're talking about is ridiculous. And they live
(07:43):
in an echo chamber and you can't have a conversation
with them, yeah, because they yell at me and I'm
just out there trying to have a conversation, So I
get it. But to say that it's it's they hate America,
that's a bunch of crap. They just look at America
in a much different way. This is the guy who's
(08:04):
leading it, Ezra Levin, talking about what he helps comes
out of this.
Speaker 8 (08:08):
We're not just doing this to have a map. We're
not just doing this to get news coverage. We're not
just doing this to be on the right side of history.
Peaceful protest is strategic. It is strategic, and there are
two main goals that we can accomplish from strategic protests.
One is to burst that bubble of inevitability, the sense that, ah,
this guy's all powerful. We shouldn't stand up, there's nothing
we can do about it. That's how we lose. Our
(08:29):
enemy here is not Trump, it's not the regime. It's
not Democrats who refuse to fight back. Those are opponents
from time to time in the campaign. Our enemy is
fatalism and nihilism and the sense that we are just
victims of world events and there's nothing we can do.
By showing up in historic numbers, we burst that bubble.
We show that we're not afraid that we can indeed
(08:50):
exercise our first memorights.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
That's goal one. But a protest, even a historic protest.
Speaker 8 (08:54):
This will be the largest peaceful protest in modern American history,
even something as big as this is a one day protest,
and a real measure of success is not just in
how big and how peaceful and how joeyful it is.
It's also how many people plug into on the ground
organizing going forward. And that's where we've got to go next.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Well, we'll find out how many people are there they're expecting.
You know, the numbers are always. There was a million,
there was twelve million. There's going to be a lot
that I do know. Speaking of a lot, we have
a lot of issues with Venezuela as we get ready
to blow them up. Yet another strike on the Venezuelan
(09:37):
drug cartels that are flooding America with so many drugs oil.
It's about oil. This time, though, something different happened.
Speaker 9 (09:46):
The US military has launched what appears to be a
sixth airstrike on a suspected drug boat in the Caribbean,
and unlike previous attacks we've seen, this time, an official
says there were survivors among the crew that were targeted.
No word overnight how many people may have been killed.
But meanwhile tensions in the region are escalating. President Trump
(10:07):
has authorized CIA operations in Venezuela and is considering ground strikes.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
We'll find out it's going to happen. I mean, he's
flying P fifty two's over their drym maneuvers. They've been
in Trinidad and Tobago, which is a hop skip and
five miles to Venezuela. This is at some point in
time going to happen to what extent I don't know,
but don't be fooled by It's because of the massive
(10:33):
drug problem that Venezuela poses to us. Okay, I'm just
gonna give you these are numbers. Ten to fifteen percent
of cocaine gets trafficked through there, I meaning it comes
through Venezuela. They don't produce it. The vast majority of
it is all Colombia. Zero fentanyl comes through there. Zero.
(11:01):
If we're serious about the drugs that kill, Fentanyl comes
from Mexico. So this whole charade, if you will, is
really more about regime change oil than it is drugs.
(11:22):
So don't be fooled by that. Three two, three, five,

They're claiming in court that this is about protecting ice
facilities and ice agents and not about crime on the streets.
Speaker 14 (14:29):
It's I'm done, and we are going to find in
charge all of those people who are causing this chaos
in Portland and all these other cities across our country.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
I hope it ends soon.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
I don't think it will end before the you know
Hate America rally on the.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
On the mall on Saturday.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
This is largely a fake store.
Speaker 9 (15:00):

And they are able to radicalize and target and exploit
a generation of young boys.
Speaker 17 (15:58):
I'm hopeful, but this is a catalyst for still something
even bigger and better for all of us in the region.
Speaker 18 (16:05):
This is the end of the age of terror and
death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope,
end of God.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
I think we all hope that, don't you. Everybody's hoping
there's going to be peace in the Middle East. Since
I was a kid. There's no peace. And this is
a you know, We've talked about it, We'll continue to
talk about it. This is not simple. Nothing worth doing
is simple. This is extra hard. So Trump, taking his
(16:37):
victory lap on Monday, along with several others, I said,
do it, Absolutely, you should. But when it comes to
getting Hamas to disarm, when it comes to getting them
to do certain things and police that area that was
agreed upon, it's got to be more than just us
in words.
Speaker 19 (16:54):
So there's a lot of confusion about what the policy is.
And I think he has a hit on the real tool,
which is to get Cutter and Turkey, the two countries
would real influence over a moss that convince them to
let the hostages go to be the lead on getting
them to disarm.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Absolutely, And it's not just a moss. If you're not following,
and not many are, everybody thinks it's done, it's not done.
It is also a situation where you have several militia
groups who are fighting against a moss inside of gossam.
So this is not as simple as this was a moss.
If they disarmed, that's that. It's definitely going to be
(17:31):
a situation here that's going to take some time. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chat Benson's show,
is your ex your Insta? This is the Chat Benson Show,
The Chad.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Religion. People take it, they spin it, use it. It's
happened forever and will continue to happen because it's effective.
At a time that we live in right now. It
can be touchy when you talk about religion and politics,
(18:29):
and we have an issue in this country where religion
is being hijacked and churches are being used and they
soon to be okay with it. I'm fascinated, you know,
I say this all the time. I want no politics
in my church. Now we might discuss a political topic
(18:55):
of the day, because it affects everybody, even if you're
not political something. Charlie Kirkshooting is an example of the nation,
you know, fighting and coming together in the motions. That
is different though than the brazen push that the pulpit
and politics has now. And this new book out by
(19:19):
John I'm gonna screw his name up even though I
know John Fusel saying he's a comedian. You guys probably
recognize his face. He's an actor. It's been in a
ton of stuff. But his new book is fascinating. I
am rocking and rolling through the audio version of it.
And it's called Separation of Church and Hate. Oh really,
(19:44):
It says the Saintsperson's guy to taking back the Bible
from fundamentalists, fascist and flock fleecing frauds. And he's been
all over the the interwebs. He's got a serious show.
But he's also been all over television and we're working
to get him on here in the week or two
to talk about this because I, as a person who's
a believer, have so much frustration with many other people
(20:11):
who are so absolutely over the top in the how
right they are and how righteous they are, and how
I mean in my local show, there is not a
day that goes by where I am not told that
(20:32):
I'm of the devil, that I'm a demon, and I'm
being told it's the craziest thing, it is. Let's here's
some of the interview he did this week. He was
on with Morning Joe talking about just you know, church
in the Bible, and you know, they were talking about
Trump in particular, who has used the Christian right in
(20:52):
such a positive way on the political on the political.
Speaker 20 (20:57):
Side, As you say, John, the blending of politics and
religion is nothing new, but it certainly seems sort of
accelerated over.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
The last decade.
Speaker 20 (21:04):
We were talking minute ago. When you ask people you
know and love people I know and love people in
our churches about Donald Trump and about whether he embodies
the teachings of Jesus and of the Bible, and they say, look,
we elected a president, not a saint.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
It's a flawed ves.
Speaker 20 (21:20):
He's going to protect us, and we know.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
He's not perfect.
Speaker 20 (21:23):
He has problems with character and everything else. So what
do you make of what we're seeing from many of
the pulpits in this country now, which is now explicit politics?
Speaker 2 (21:33):
And I don't like that. And I've talked to a
couple of people over the last couple months who when
I say politicis I want politics and the pulpit together.
They'll come to me and they'll say, you know what,
I'll walk out of a church if there isn't politics
inside of my church. And I think, to myself, Sweet
Mother of God, what the hell is going on? But
I love what he says here about Trump, because look,
(21:53):
Trump is absolutely flawed. You know, he's talking this week
how he doesn't think he's going to get in heaven.
I mean, he is who he is. But John was
spot on in this part about Trump and what he
promised the Christians with respect.
Speaker 21 (22:11):
Donald Trump did not win the hearts and minds of
Christianity in this country by promising to do a single
thing Christ commands in the Gospels. He didn't say I'm
going to do all that our Lord commands of us.
He promised them power. He said I'll put you first.
You know, Satan offered Jesus all that you can see.
And Jesus said, no, thank you, I'll take up the
cross instead. But a lot of these folks like the deal,
(22:34):
and he played up the persecution narrative. You've been so besieged,
so under siege, you're so under attack, I will put
you first. And that's very seductive. But I ask my
right wing brothers and sisters all the time, and the
callers to my serious XCENT show, please tell me one
gospel teaching of Christ this guy is fought for. And
you'll find out pretty quick how little folks actually know
(22:55):
what's in the Jesus parts of the Bible.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
If you asked that question, many of them don't. They
have a few quotes, and that's it. It's like even
when we talk about Israel and you know, the dispensationalist
the Christians out there who want to, you know, hurry
up and take everything away from the Palestinians. And they're
all evil and they're all bad, and let's get back
(23:18):
to it, because they want to bring in the Second Coming,
as if this is some sort of plan that they
can just magically do. You can't have a conversation because
they're not interested in what you have to say, and
I always say this, I'm not I want you to
and i'd have a conversation. Let's have a conversation, and
(23:41):
in doing so, I'm not here to change your mind.
I want you to think. That's it. I want you
to think. And I've been saying that for a long time.
Think so many people go into and in the world
of politics whatever it is, and they battle this stuff
(24:01):
out on the Internet and social media and whatnot. They're
trying to change people's minds. They're trying to win something.
I always tell everybody, I just want you to think,
but your critical thinking had on. Just think about something
for a second. Is maybe what I'm saying does it
have some merit? Am I coming at it from a
different angle that you haven't you know, seen or heard before.
(24:23):
Is there something there that's what I want in this?
And I think that's what he wants with this. And
they asked him about whether or not in this John
Fusel is saying his news book as called Separation of
Church and Hate. And one of the other things they
asked him about is like, you know, how do you
change your friend's mind and stuff like that in your
family's mind?
Speaker 21 (24:42):
Well, I always think that even if you aren't going
to ever sway them, and you probably won't, right, people
have to grow on their own. But if you have
this relative or this coworker in your life who is
very fixed in this toxic Christianity and it's all about
the hate and it's all about the superiority of their clique,
I find that if you engage them on scripture, even
(25:02):
if they don't agree with you, they'll appreciate that you
took the time to discuss what's in the Bible. I
will always believe you get a lot farther showing your
uncle that Jesus was not an immigrant hating homophobe than
if you just haul off and call your uncle an
immigrant hating homophobe right there, and you'll probably and you
may be able to win over their wives and the
kids and everybody else at the cookout. Well probably won't
(25:23):
win over them.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
No, probably not, But if you can get them to think,
that's it, that's what you have to do. Critical thinking
is a lost art. And then they got onto the
topic of immigration. Obviously, legal immigration is a huge issue
in this country, and we've talked about, you know, watching
ice and doing what they're doing and the way that
(25:44):
the sausage is made. And this isn't really what people
thought it was going to be. And for me, I've
always said, we've got to be kinder. There's ways that
we can do things. We can't have an open border.
We need to handle things in a much better way
because that's who who we are. And yes, at times
it is tough to watch, and at other times it
(26:06):
is a necessary thing that has to happen. But you
don't have to do things with hate in your heart.
Speaker 21 (26:12):
I'll be the first to say I'm not here calling
for amnesty or open borders.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
That was Ronald Reagan.
Speaker 21 (26:17):
But it's the criminalization of migrants, calling them illegals. I
call them Christian refugees because it infuriates the right people.
But go buy the Bible. God of the Hebrew Scriptures
commands the Israelites to welcome the stranger and says you
must treat the alien as one of your own. And
Jesus goes a step further in Matthew twenty five and
says individuals and nations will be judged heaven or Hell
(26:38):
by how they take care of the poor, take care
of the sick, are kind to prisoners, and welcome the
stranger Jesus. Don't say nothing about screaming at women outside
clinics or being mean to the trans kids. It's how
you welcome the strangers. So I wrote this book as
a guide to ask your right wing uncle, why should
I listen to you and Donald Trump on this and
completely reject God in Jesus. I didn't write it.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Ooh, it's a great book if you have a chance.
Like I said, I'm listening to it now and I've
gotten through a decent amount of it. It's just fascinating.
It is makes you think, which is what I want thinking.
It's a good thing. We should do it more often.

All right, coming up, number eleven and our Scary Movie Countdown.
And I will tell you this right now. This is
a movie super terrifying based in science. But also it's
only fifty six minutes long. Number eleven. In our Scary
Movie Countdown, straight ahead, Chad benconchow.
Speaker 22 (29:15):
If you like talk radio, like Chad Benson likes his meals,
you've come to the perfect place for takeout.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
All right, we're counting down to the scariest movie of
all time today, number eleven. This movie is so awesome
and it's not very long either. It was based on
a prank that went viral and they said we should
make a movie out of this, and they did, and
(29:45):
that movie, according to science, is one of the scariest
movies of all time. What is it? Let's find out,
shall we.
Speaker 23 (29:55):
The time has come, so prepare yourself for a journey
of from the darkest corner of cinema the most bone
chilling tales ever told. It's the Countdown you've been waiting
for which movie will take the top spot? How about
(30:17):
a fish tail so big because the jaws open wide
or the story of a young innocent girl battling evil.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
With some help.
Speaker 7 (30:33):
Well, then let's introduce ourselves. I'm Damien Karras and I'm
that devil.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
You'll have to listen to find out. Are you ready?
Number eleven?
Speaker 6 (30:45):
All right?
Speaker 2 (30:45):
Number eleven. The movie's called Host, that's it. Host came
out in twenty twenty, kind of the heart of the pandemic,
just getting like things were happening. And it's based on
a zoom call, friends hanging out, having a night in
(31:05):
if you will, because you couldn't go anywhere, but they
were doing it together and it is crazy scary. They
decide to do what a seance because yeah, of course,
and it doesn't go the way they think it's going
to go. What they hope turns out to be a
night of fun, hanging out with your friends, bringing some
(31:27):
wine on a zoom call ends up being something completely different.
Speaker 24 (31:33):
Have you ever done anything like this before? I've never
done this for over zoom. Obviously we're not physically together,
but there's no reason why that it can't communicate over
the internet.
Speaker 14 (31:44):
Nothing is going to happen.
Speaker 24 (31:45):
Visualize us sitting in a circle, spit it. We invite
you to use us to us on any communication. Is
there anyone there, please come forward, you know, connected with something.
Speaker 22 (32:01):
We gotta keep going.
Speaker 25 (32:02):
We gotta talk to it.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Good, so good, so good. Here's the interesting thing. So
this was a prank that Rob Savage, the director of
(32:29):
the movie, and he's directing a lot of big stuff
right now. He played on a couple of his friends.
It went viral. He said, let's make a movie about it.
And they did no production costs really outside of zoom
and the movie's only fifty six minutes long, which is
the amount of time you can make a free zoom call.
No crew members entered any of the actors homes, All stunts, pyrotech,
(33:00):
next wire effects. Everything was done on their own. They
use low bunch of tricks your mind, fishing wires, hidden pulleys,
little things like that to pull it off. And I
will tell you, if you've got fifty six minutes to
watch a movie, it is frightening. Because we were going
(33:22):
through the pandemic, there was social anxiety everywhere. Being stuck
in an area where you by yourself, not really knowing
if you could call anybody what to do. It is crazy, scary,
and it's this simple because you use your mind. Here's
the other thing Science says, it's scary as well. You
ready for this. So science came out and did a
(33:47):
whole bunch of studies over the last several years on
terrifying movies, horror movies, some classics, some new, and they
have a list. This is number two on the list.
It's based on resting heart rate, then your movie heart
rate on average, then the spikes in it. So the
(34:13):
average resting heartbeat of the people that they surveyed with
this was sixty four. The average beats permitted during the
movie was eighty eight, with a spike to one hundred
and thirty. Total overall score was ninety five, which is
(34:33):
it is. If I'm telling you guys, if you've got
fifty six minutes, it's on shutter. It is super super
super creepy. And this movie only lost out to the
number one, which will appear on the countdown later, by
one single point. And if you think, well that's science,
what does everything else say? As a ninety nine on
Rotten Tomatoes, it is a movie we're seeing you guys.
(34:56):
If you like me and you like it's a it's
not even found footage because it's zoom and everybody's done zoom.
This movie is absolutely amazing. Our number eleven today, directed
by Rob Savage, all the actors in their homes doing
the zoom calls. It is incredible. It's called Host and
I highly recommend it at Chad Benson Show. It's your acts,
(35:20):
your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook and more. We love
hearing from all of you. If you have any suggestions
whatsoever about movies, maybe you think I should see because
I'm gonna watch a couple this weekend. Let me know.
You can tweet at me. You can text the program
as well. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three. Right here in the Chad Benson Show. All right,
coming up, hour number two of the program, our buddy
(35:42):
Zach Abrahm, Chievestment Officer Board Capitals. You enjoy the program.
We're going to talk about the market. What were we
talking about? Are we in a bubble time?
Speaker 25 (35:52):
Is this?
Speaker 2 (35:52):
I mean, because it feels like something's going on and
there's going to be a pop soon. So we were
to talk to him about that John Bolton, not Michael
Bolden was indeted yesterday. Talk a bit about that as well.
We got Russia, Ukraine news, Venezuela. We got another boat
today but there were survivors. What does that mean? A
bunch of other good stuff on the way. We got
our finally Friday sounds as well. If you're miss any
(36:15):
of the show, you know what we say, shame on
you don't do that, but if you do, grab the
podcast our number two Chad Benson Show, straight ahead.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
The government is still shut down and will not be
open at least for a while. Breaking news. There's not
gonna be anything happening this weekend. Everybody's gone home. Back
at it come Monday. No King's Rally this weekend a
little bit more interesting than the government shutdown, or is
Mike Johnson puts it, The I Hate America Rally is
(37:19):
potentially going to be off the chain because all the
hating of America market, so that's going on. I don't
know how many people are gonna be out there. I'm
assuming three to five million. They're saying it's going to
be the biggest single day protest in American history. From
(37:42):
Austin and Dallas to Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Nashville,
you name it. They're going to be out there protesting away.
So this will be interesting this weekend to see how
this goes, because there are people out there, I think
(38:02):
that would say that the Trump administration may hope that
stuff goes sideways, may hope that things go wrong, may
hope for the opportunity to say insurrection. We shall see,
we shall see. We'll talk to our buddy next our
Jim Kennedy and the Kennedy Institute of Public Policy Research.
(38:25):
But he watched last night so we didn't have to
the some of the New York debate. And Mundonnie is
interesting to the young He's gonna be the next mayor,
and the reason he's offering them something they feel they
don't have anymore. He's using the same playbook that Trump uses,
(38:45):
just with different words. It's the same thing I've always
said for years. Abortion and gun control, it's the same game,
just different uniforms. You want to control my body, you
want to control my guns. It's the same thing. He's
using it the same way. I am focusing on affordability
making your life better. And so there is a big
(39:07):
pole by a lot of young people who are pissed
and angry and who feel like they're not getting what
they thought they were going to get in life and
that they were sold to bill of goods. And because
of that, they're looking around going we're paying way more
money than we should. The rich are getting not only
way richer than before. Even if you're doing okay, they're
pulling away from you and you feel like you were
(39:29):
on a hamster wheel going around and round and around
and you were getting nowhere except for tired. Oh so look,
I understand the appeal.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
I do.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
I understand the appeal. And if you for it's funny
because I've talked to a lot of people over the
last couple of days about this and they're like, well,
they're just a bunch of dumb kids, And I'm like, really,
go look what happened to Madagascar, Go look what happened
to Morocco. Go look what's happening in Peru. There is
a revolution of youngsters. And it's not a revolution to
(40:03):
destroy and replace with communism and chaos. It's a revolution
of we're here, We're a large group. This is our
worlds as well, and we are not going to be
in this situation where you guys destroy everything, leave us nothing,
(40:24):
and we live worse than you did. So be prepared.
Tomorrow's going to be very interesting. Speaking of interesting, do
you guys know about Venezuela? Could we be going there soon?
It's possible. We've got a lot of stuff over there.
I keep saying it's about oil. With oil comes control.
We'll get to that in a second, but first, what
(40:45):
have we got over there?
Speaker 26 (40:46):
Es Forty eight hours after the newest US attack on
a boat off Venezuela, we're learning of a massive show
of military force off Venezuela's coast. ABC News confirming three
nuclear capable B fifty two heavy bombers flew for hours
in the Caribbean waters less than ninety miles from Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
You know, I've been great When she said B fifty twos,
they could have just played the Love Shack. That's right,
the B fifty twos there, Love Shack. Maybe Love Shack
or Rock Lobster. No, but they're the series. When are
we going in? How are we going in? All questions
that are fair to ask, Why are we going in? Again?
(41:29):
A fair question. I say oil, They say drugs, Well,
drugs is an easy thing. Drugs are bad. How many
drugs come out of there? Venezuela produces no drugs trafficking,
meaning coming through there. Ten to fifteen percent that come
out of South America percentage wise, that's virtually nothing. Zero.
When it comes to fentanyl, it's mostly cocaine. A vast
(41:54):
majority of it's cocaine, maybe some weed, small bit of heroin,
but the most part it's just all co And where's
that come from? Columbia? Why are we going to Columbia
for so worried about it? There's a great question, huh.
I wonder why we're not going to Columbia or if
we're really worried about the drugs that are coming into
this country, the one that we're told is the worst,
(42:16):
which is phentol, the one pill can kill. It's a
very real thing. Then why aren't we going after the source,
which is China and Mexico. China makes it, sends all
the stuff to Mexico, they refine it, they get it
out on the streets of America. Why aren't we doing that?
Because oil oil? Do you guys know about oil? Let
(42:39):
me just run through the oil game here, because everybody's like, well,
their oil's not very good. Well, let's just slow our
role here and talk about what they have. So they've
got the largest proven reserves on the planet, three hundred
and three billion barrels. That's larger than Saudi Arabia, and
(43:03):
most of it is in the Orinoco Belt, and that's
a huge strip of land in central Venezuela. Now, the
oil they have, we're all learning some here, people in Texas.
You don't have to worry about this. You guys know
you're seventy eighty percent of Venezuela's reserves are extra heavy crude. Okay,
(43:28):
extra that's extra You got regular can So that requires
upgrading or blending with lighter crude to make it exportable. Okay.
And it's kind of like what they have in Canada
in some of their oil sands, as they call it.
They've got about you know. The rest of it is
(43:50):
about twenty percent is medium and light crude. And everybody's like, well,
that stuff's not very good. Well here's the thing for them.
It's a huge volume. But extra heavy crud requires foreign technology.
Guess who has that? We do where the Gulf, Texas,
(44:11):
Louisiana are actually optimized for heavy crude, which is why
Chevron and Valero, who once imported large volumes before the sanctions,
So before Maduro there was who got Chavez? Whogo? Chavez
comes in and what's he do? He takes over, nationalizes everything.
Our companies are asked out, Chevron, Halliburton, what Slumberger, others,
(44:35):
all these things the gone.
Speaker 23 (44:39):
With this.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Guess what happens? They go back in there, full restoration
of Chevron's Orinoco and Western Venezuela projects, new exploration rights
for drillers, debt recovery because once they did this, of
course they sue took him to you know, all these
quarts and tribunals and one so they're owed hundreds and
(45:05):
hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars. And with what
we have in our refineries Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, we're optimized
for this. This will actually help us. It could keep
the cost of oil down, which is wonderful with the
sanctions off us doing what we're doing. Guess what, we
(45:27):
don't have to rely on Canadian oil sands and Middle
Eastern grades often they're they're higher as far as transport
and blending cost. So this will help. And the other
big thing is, yes, China, about ninety percent of the
oil that they produce goes to China, so that is
also a massive deal. We would slow and hurt their
(45:49):
influence in a major, major, major way. And so yeah,
there's a bit of this going on. But don't think
that it's just This is not about the drugs. The
drug are the test case to sell to the American
people that we're here to save you on this. It
is much bigger than that drugs are bad. We have
(46:11):
an addiction problem in this country. If there wasn't a
market for it, it wouldn't be sold here. But don't
tell me that you shoot a boat with five people
on it and you kill all of them that they
were coming here and because of that you save twenty
five thousand people, and some people lost their lives, but
you save twenty five thousand people. Nobody's overdosing on cocaine
(46:34):
unless ventinels attached to it. And we're not going after
China like that, and we're not going after Mexico in
the Gulf region. The Gulf, so you've got the golf cartels,
you have the Sinaloa cartels, and you have at least
go new generation. Those are the ones if you were
serious about going after these things. So let's be honest
(46:56):
about what we're doing. That's all I ask. I can hand.
But what you're doing is everybody's like, oh, it's oil
for you know, it's blood money. It's just like Iraq.
I never once thought we were going into rock for oil,
never once did. But while we didn't get any of
(47:17):
their oil, remember they had WMDs. This isn't about the oil.
This is about the companies that do what drill and
produce it. It's not about the oil itself. And oh,
by the way, after Iraq, Exon, Mobil, Chevron, Halliburton, Baker, Hughes, Schumburger, BP,
(47:41):
that's the UK, CNPC, China, all of win in there
there you go. So just to put it out there,
it's not about the oil, but it's totally about the
companies who look for oil. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, is
your ax your insta coming up? Bolton indicted. We'll talk
(48:04):
about that. Russia, Ukraine, could we have something here coming
up soon? We'll talk about that as well. But first
Medicare man Medicare plans they can be a nightmare. My
mother in law found that out. She liked her Medicare
plan she had over two years. They told her it's
going away, bye bye. She didn't know what to do.
I said, you got to talk to my buddies over
(48:24):
at Chapter. Chapter is amazing. So a lot of people
out there, they like their Medicare plan. Next thing you know,
they find out it's going away. So what do you do? Well,
you can't count on most Medicare agents. Why they're looking
to put you in the thing that's going to help
them the most ie commissions. So then what well, Chapter,
you don't have to worry about that when you work
with Chapter. They don't work for the government, they don't
(48:45):
work for insurance companies. They work for you. What they
do is amazing. You'll compare every Medicare plan nation wide
to find the best fit for you. On average, they
save seniors eleven hundred dollars a year. That's it. It's
all you can do. Well, what's it? It's free. They're
going to review your options as well in under twenty minutes.
Under twenty minutes, you can have all your options right
(49:06):
in front of you. Now, this is how you do it.
Check this out. It's not something crazy, no gimmicks, no pressure,
honest advice from the experts that I trust. Dial pound
two fifty. Keyword Medicare plan. It's that simple. You dial
pound two fifty. That's a keyword. You say Medicare plan
(49:28):
and a way you go Chapter is amazing. I trust them,
and so should you dial pound two to fifty Medicare plan.
To talk to my friends at chapter. This is the
Chad Benson.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (49:52):
They're knocking them down one by one. The march to
get Trump's enemies? Is that true? Kind of not saying
they it didn't do some stuff, but it does feel
a little revengey.
Speaker 27 (50:05):
For the third time in three weeks, the Justice Department
pursuing criminal charges against one of President Trump's political enemies.
First it was former FBI director James Comy, then New
York State Attorney General Letitia James, now the President's former
national security advisor turned outspoken critic John Bolton. Bolton indicted
(50:25):
by a federal grand jury on eighteen felony counts for
LEDs illegal transmission and retention of classified documents.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Yeah, this is not like the others. There's a lot
more to this, more made on the bone, if you will.
When it comes to this indictment, what.
Speaker 28 (50:44):
Suck out to me is all of the avenues in
which the prosecutor in this case is nullifying. How John
Bolton can say I didn't know. There are multiple arguments
here that the prosecutor is making that shows that he
had knowledge and willfully committed this act. I didn't kind
of cut off any avenue front arguod h.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
And it has to do with certain documents that potentially
he showed to his kids, his wife. There's a bunch
of stuff inside of here. There is more meat on
the bone, There is no doubt about that. More meat
the other ones. It's gonna be tough, you know. Is
(51:24):
it seen as malicious? You know? The Komi one will
that get all the way to court? All of these
things have a chance of getting there. And just because
it feels like it's a revenge to her, because it is,
doesn't mean there isn't something there in these And I
say that, and everybody will come out and go, why
didn't you say that when they were coming after Trump?
I did say it over and over again. I don't
(51:45):
like it being used the law fair. I don't think
we should. But don't tell me this is just something
they would normally have done. I'm not buying that. I'm
not buying that at all. And here's the other interesting
thing about it, because a lot of people had the
questions about, well, is this the stuff that's in his book?
Because if there is stuff in the book that is
quote unquote still classified. If you write a book and
(52:06):
you're at a level that John Bolton was and many others,
you have to go through so many steps before the
government will let you publish the stuff inside of that book.
When it comes to your life inside politics three two, three, five,
twenty four to twenty three at Chedmnson shows your ex
your insta, YouTube and more, let us know what you
think right here on the Chad Benson Show. If you
(52:30):
want to publish a book about you being in your childhood,
that's one thing, but that's not what this was about.
Speaker 28 (52:35):
Within this indictment, it says that none of the eighteen
counts in the indictment are associated with information that came
out from the memoir. Instead, it's about information I was
allegedly sent to two individuals with his family as well
as this alleged lead that Iran might have picked up.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
So very interesting. We moved from there too, Russia Ukraine.
Phone calls coming in Zelensky here, what is going to happen?
And the pooter hanging out maybe in the old Hungary Budapest.
Speaker 11 (53:05):
He says that they're going to be high level meetings
between the US and Russia next week, being spearheaded by
Marco Rubio. But the big question is what makes this
time different? Why does the President think that he can
accomplish now what eluded him just two months ago in Alaska?
And the President was asked that question and he said
he thinks Alaska actually set a stage, that it laid
(53:26):
the groundwork for them to continue to have this conversation.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
Maybe that's true, or maybe tomahawks.
Speaker 11 (53:32):
It comes as we know that Zelenski has been asking
Trump for those powerful Tomahawk missiles capable of striking deep
inside of Russia, and in fact, that's something the President
Trump said he discussed with Putin during a phone call
they had yesterday that lasted over two hours.
Speaker 2 (53:48):
So this is going to be a very interesting couple
of weeks here with this and fool me once right,
shame shame on you, fool me twice on me. There
won't be a full third time if this thing goes
side place three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson Show, Is Your ex your
Insta YouTube and more coming up for good Buddy Zack Abram,
(54:10):
chief investment officer Bull Capital, was going to join the program.
We're going to talk about the market. Is it over price?
Are we getting ready for a pullback? And how big
would that be? We'll talk about that's straight ahead Chad Benson.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
Show, Son, Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
It is that time of the week. Sit down ether
Buddy Zack Abram, chief vestment officer Bull Capital, talk about
the markets, talk about the economy. Uh. This week I
watched Adam Sorkin. He was on with sixty minutes and
interesting guys talking about you know, you know CNBC guy,
it feels like nineteen twenty nine potentially, but maybe not
nineteen twenty nine in the big crash, but there definitely
(55:05):
feels like something's gonna go on in the market sooner
rather than later. And I got to be honest man,
a lot of people feel that way. I feel that way.
I'm not saying it's gonna crash, but I feel like
there's a pop a coming and it's coming soon. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (55:18):
The most frustrating part about it to me, and I
think that we are very close to that end. Meaning again,
it doesn't mean fifty sixty percent losses, okay, but if
you're up ten percent over a five year period of
time where inflation's going up by five to six percent
a year, you just got killed. That's the equivalent of
a fifty percent loss on a purchasing power basis.
Speaker 25 (55:41):
Right.
Speaker 7 (55:42):
So the other most frustrating thing about this is there's
so much other good stuff out there that is fundamentally sound,
and everybody's packed in to the exact same car.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
Right.
Speaker 7 (55:53):
It's like it's these like the fang Stocks and the
Nvidia and the and the AI and all that. It's
like a clown car, yes, right, where you got like
fifteen dudes packed inside the whole thing. Meanwhile, you look
over next to you and your buddy's all alone in
an ESV escalade.
Speaker 2 (56:09):
Yeah, I hear you.
Speaker 7 (56:11):
I just look at gold and that thing's just got
to collapse and I'm sitting there going, wait, hold on
a second. You have an automobile manufacturing company called Tesla
treating at two hundred and sixty times earnings, we got
one hundred and thirty percent debt to GDP and deficits
that are six percent of our entire economy, and you're
worried about the price at gold. Yeah, well, okay. You know,
(56:32):
to me, I think gold is doing exactly what it should.
And I don't think gold's going up. I think gold's
getting rerated, right. So it's like it's saying, hey, we'd
forgotten about gold, the idea that gold has doubled in
the last fourteen years.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
Think about that.
Speaker 7 (56:45):
People are like, oh, gold's run really far. It's doubled
in the last fourteen years. Look at crypto, Look at
the stock market, right, look at go down the list,
go look at housing prices. What hasn't doubled or more
in the last most things. Most things have much more
than traded gold. When it was virtually you couldn't give
it away.
Speaker 2 (57:03):
Oh yeah, yeah, two hundred bucks an ounce.
Speaker 25 (57:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
When I was back in the and you know, just
when I was trading both the physical and on you know,
the exchanges, it's you know, it's one hundred and ninety
eight bucks an ounce, two five and ounce. I mean
it was nothing. It would move twenty bucks a day.
You're like, oh my god, it's just crazy. Couldn't even
imagine the twenty plus years later it's gonna be four thousand.
Speaker 7 (57:23):
You're like, what well, and then people are like, it's
gone too far, and I go, dude, just go look
at national debt. Yeah, go look at the deficit, Go
look at all those things. Go look at M two,
go look at all these other things. And then realize
that I think, what's happening? Well, I don't think there's
a couple of things driving cold first and foremost, the
world has changed, and most people do not realize it,
(57:44):
especially if you're not in the investment war. And to
be fair, a lot of investment professionals don't use it
for the first time or they're not paying attention to
this either. But for the first time, and really since
the Marshall Plan was rolled out after World War Two,
for the first time, banks have to diversify and guard
against their own dollar over exposure. They just do right
(58:07):
like they have to, And how do you hedge the dollar?
There's no other currency you can hage you with no right,
So what do you do? The only way to hedge
it is gold.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
Yeah, well it's been around for a millennia. There's a
finite amount of it, and there's always since I was
a youngster. That's the place that you flee to to
protect yourself. The hedge. The netting that will catch you
if you get over and you look like you're going
to spin out on your trapees, it's that net Yep.
Speaker 7 (58:31):
The whole idea of it is that it defends purchasing
power over time.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
Here's the other thing.
Speaker 7 (58:36):
We're just launching this new and again I'm not trying
to pitch our own our way, No, it's just I
see these retail portfolios come in. We've got this new
hedging strategy that we can basically hedge an entire portfolio
using one percent of the portfolio. And we've ran these
number like I call them projections, but they're not projections
(58:56):
because we use real market data from the past right
over periods run models. Is yeah, we're running models with
actual market data that's happened. And what we're finding is
that with this basic hedging strategy, it typically choose a
way about two to five percent of your net return.
Let's say you've got a portfolio that otherwise would be
(59:17):
up twenty percent, we would expect that portfolio to be
up somewhere between eighteen and a half to nineteen and
a quarter percent. Okay, so very little overall cost, but
it cuts the average draw down in half.
Speaker 15 (59:30):
Right.
Speaker 7 (59:30):
It is just a simple option caller that we can
put on any portfolio. Now, we have stuff inside of
our portfolios, you know, like this recent we're at a
new all time high on our portfolio on the day
the stock markets three or four percent off and all
time high because we've got internal hedging, right that we do.
But we will even overlay this on some of our
you know, more conservative portfolios, and we back test that,
(59:52):
like during COVID that portfolio would have been up like
fourteen percent that year and would have been down like
four percent COVID draw down when the market was down
thirty six. My point is this, there are so many
ways out there, other types of stocks you can diversify
into gold, silver diversification tactics, mixing in international and then
(01:00:13):
layering in these hedging strategies. And look, we're sitting there going, hey, guys,
if we're wrong, let's build you a portfolio the benefits
from this market going even more insane. Now, okay, but
let's do it with a net underneath us. It almost
cost you nothing, nothing, right, and it cut, like I said,
cost you about two to five percent of your annual gain.
(01:00:35):
So it makes a twenty percent and gain a nineteen
percent gain, but eliminated about forty seven percent of drawdouts.
And you know, there's just there's all kinds of ways
to protect against what is looking and it looks like
it's coming down the pipe right now.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
I'll throw another one at you.
Speaker 7 (01:00:53):
So, like I said, today, I can't still wrap my
head around spot Vix is up twenty percent, stock markets
down to a half a percent leading into that, over
the last two weeks, you had a record six days
of the volatility index going up while the stock market
was going up too. That's never happened. Here's what that
typically means. It typically means again, the smart money is
(01:01:15):
buying defense and running out of the casino. The retailed
degenerate money is levering up and getting along all the
stuff that's smart retail or smart or smart money selling
to him.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
That's what he usually means, and it.
Speaker 7 (01:01:27):
Like I said, it's not always right, but I cannot
remember a time when it was they were talking to
that Abraham chiefsment Officer Bolt Capital. When you say the
the retail, the degenerate, these people have no idea you're
playing against the house and they're about ready to say
you got served. That's one of the most dangerous things
about environments like this is they breed over confidence.
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
And why is that a problem? I'll tell you.
Speaker 7 (01:01:51):
I'll tell you a classic story for the benefit of
the leg. Back in twenty seventeen, a bunch of short
volatility ETFs came out and volatility got slam. I mean
you the vix who had a nine handle on it
at one point, just insane.
Speaker 25 (01:02:04):
Right.
Speaker 7 (01:02:04):
If you see the volatility INEX with less than ten,
that is the market saying we'll give you insurance for free.
Speaker 24 (01:02:11):
Right.
Speaker 7 (01:02:11):
It should never be that low, but it was getting
pushed that low because of these ETFs.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
So I get in a cab.
Speaker 7 (01:02:18):
Guy finds out what I do, and he starts telling
me about this incredible company that he's invested in, and
I go.
Speaker 25 (01:02:25):
Well, what's the name of it?
Speaker 7 (01:02:25):
And he goes, I can't remember the name of it,
and he goes, they're just killing it though, and he
gives me the ticker. It wasn't a company, it was
a short vix etf. Why that was interesting to me,
and I'm telling this story because a lot of people
are invested in a bunch of things they don't understand.
Why that was important to us is because we knew
that all these short ETFs, these short vix ETFs were
(01:02:47):
out there. And as remember, every dollar that flows into
those things, they got to buy vix futures, right, So
when we see the VIX at nine and those funds,
money was just pouring into those funds. They're loading up
on those futures contracts with the VIX at nine. So
we did some basic math. What we figured out was
(01:03:07):
the VIX was lower, and I piggybacked off another guy's
work named Mike Green, who was one that really broke
this open. But what we figured out was that the
VIX only had to go to eighteen for those funds
and ETFs to go to zero. Okay, well, if you
know anything about the volatility index, it is going to
eighteen or twenty and that's a historically low level, meaning
(01:03:29):
you had one hundred percent likelihood in the next six
months you were going to be zeroed out. In those months,
we tried to tell people that nobody'd listen. All of
a sudden, the VIX goes up seven percent. It was
in February. I was on a plane down of Phoenix.
VIX pops seven percent on a day where the market's
up fifty or fifty basis points right again, market up,
equities up is the sign. We go heavy into VIX.
(01:03:52):
In two days, the VIX goes from twelve or thirteen
to forty. Those funds get zeroed out. They lose ninety
nine percent of their value in about fifteen minutes of trading.
And these are the games that these people are playing,
even if you're not in those things, if you're in
(01:04:12):
things that touch them. And when you look at the
amount of CTAs out there high frequency trading, when those
bombs go off, we call it Vollmageddon for a reason.
It turned the markets upside down. It was a very
good day for us because we were long volatility. But
they're these these when these degenerate type actions start happening,
(01:04:32):
they start creating these massive potholes in the market that
people aren't aware of and literally they create these moments
where you're going, dude, if you own a fund that
goes to zero when the VIX hits eighteen, it is
one one hundred percent likelihood that the VICS will hit
eighteen at some point in the next six months. You
just see people playing these games. I feel like we're
(01:04:55):
on the verge of a margin.
Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
Call here talking to who Zach Abraham, chievestment officer, Bold Capital.
So you look at the market now, I mean the
even people that kind of get the market, they can
feel it. You know, it's like they feel like, you
know what. They may not understand everything, but what they
do know is this ain't right. What kind of pullback
would be, you know, almost one of those things where
it's it's healthy to shed some of this and get
(01:05:17):
out some of these retail yahoos and people who are
ridiculous and kind of reset itself without crushing everything, because
I think it's I feel like it that's what it needs.
Speaker 7 (01:05:27):
You need a fifteen to twenty percent pullback from here,
and you need to see the VICS get up to
thirty five to forty and clean some of this stuff
out and reset some of these prices because here and
you and I have talked about this. There's other issues.
I heard somebody sitting there talking about, you know, oh,
if Nvidia did this, its stock could be up five
percent a day, and I go, guys, the problem is
(01:05:48):
is you're running up against five percent moves on that
stock now, or the equivalent to one hundred percent of
their annual revenue.
Speaker 25 (01:05:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:05:54):
Right, So it's just like large numbers, meaning even if
you're bullish the stock market, you need this to pull back,
and you need earnings to catch up to these marks
because if you keep going up at this level, that
fifteen to twenty percent draw down is going to turn
into fifty or sixty.
Speaker 25 (01:06:10):
It just is.
Speaker 7 (01:06:11):
And when those things happen, they always create more carnage. Right,
That's what people forget about. Right now, I will tell
you that unless you get some kind of shakeout and
things smooth out, this market cannot continue.
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
On like this.
Speaker 7 (01:06:26):
And unless a big announcement comes out or something like that,
I will be shocked if you're not five to ten
percent lower at some point in the next two weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
Crazy talk as that game in chief investment ownser Bullet Capital.
People want to reach out to you because they go, oh,
my god, I need some of that.
Speaker 25 (01:06:41):

Speaker 7 (01:06:42):
Yeah, Bullwardcapitalmanagement dot com, Know your Risk Radio dot com.
We don't put a big sales pitch on you. We'll
show you that bait. That's simple. I think. I think
that hedging strategy costs twenty five basis points, the one
that chewed like five percent off your upside and cut
the losses and half. And there's a bunch of stuff
like that we do. So yeah, we're not gonna try
to twist your arm. But you know, look, please call

I hope it ends soon.
Speaker 4 (01:10:46):
I don't think it will end before the you know,

We're going to be doing that among other things. You're

Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
It's all happening. Venezuela could be heading in there. What
about Ukraine and Russia? Could we see some stuff happening
eating up again in the Middle East. Let's not forget
the fact that we've got massive protest scheduled for tomorrow
and they got John Bolton, they indicted him. What this
could be something. We're gonna discuss all of that and
(01:13:56):
so much more. First, the government shutdown though, how is
this all happening with the government shutdown?
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
The government has closed and we have the Senate that's
going home for the remainder of the week and weekend,
so the next time they could vote on this would
be Monday, day twenty of the shutdown.
Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
Day twenty of the shutdown. Trump did do something though
that for the average American that's paying attention to this,
they're like okay, because the big thing is, okay, we
don't care if you guys don't get paid, although legally
they have to, but the military, the military's got to
get paid, and they got them paid now, the FBI
(01:14:31):
paid everybody else. You kind of have sol for now
and they're going to fight it out. And this again
is over, you know, Obamacare subsidies. We've gone over this,
and a Monday, we're going to do deep dive into
how I think we can fix this, but it'll never
happen because nobody's invested in fixing it. But we're going
to do a deep dive into healthcare on Monday, So
(01:14:52):
this will be very interesting. You know, over the weekend,
it's the I Hate America thing. That's what Mike John
called it. That's why he's not doing anything this weekend
when it comes to the government. That's that's literally what
he called the rally that's taking place this weekend. I
hope it ins soon.
Speaker 4 (01:15:10):
I don't think it will end before the you know,
hate America rally on the on the mall on Saturday,
where they call the Marxist and Antifa people and all
the people who hate Trump and hate America will be there.
After that, though, I hope there's a couple of sensitive
Democrats or sensible Democrats who will come to their senses
over in the Senate and vote the right way to
do the right thing that they have always done every
time in the past in their career. They need to
(01:15:32):
do it now for the people, for the American people.
Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
They won't until polls come out and this goes for
both of them. That points to one of them starting
to lose the populace when it comes to who's to
blame for the shutdown? Until then, carry on carry on. Indeed,
(01:15:56):
us speaking of the I Hate America or Hate America tour,
it's going on. It's going on everywhere. Governor Abbot's already
got ahead of it. He's got ahead of it because
he knows they're coming out. They got to do horrible things.
So Governor abbits like, we've got to do something.
Speaker 29 (01:16:12):
Abbot on social media claiming without evidence a connection between
the Austin protest and Antifa, the leftist anti fascist movement.
No word of troops will go to other Texas cities
where protests are planned. State Democratic leaders responding with outrage.
Texas House of Representatives Minority leader gen Wu saying, the
governor has sold out our sovereignty to a corrupt politician
(01:16:33):
looking to distract you from the Epstein files and rising prices.
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Ooh, rising prices. We talked about that yesterday. Seventy five
percent of Americans red, blue and gray. The gray is
independence whenever you see that, So I would have gone
with green whatever, red blue, Republican and Democrats gray independence
almost all of them. Seventy five percent of each group says, yeah,
(01:17:01):
prices are too high. Inflation hasn't gone anywhere. The Epstein
thing's interesting, but Abbit's got them ready, so be prepared.
Not quite sure. Maybe send him to Dallas. Maybe maybe not.
We're not quite sure. This is going to be an
interesting thing to see the way that this this goes
down tomorrow, because you know, so many people are saying,
what if there's a riot an insurrection, and I'm like, oh,
(01:17:23):
there's going to be an insurrection. This is going to
be tomorrow. Could be interesting. I might go out to
uh one of these things tomorrow. I've been. I went
out to the first one and I tried to have
conversations to people, but which is impossible because nobody was
interested in that. They just wanted to yell and be weird,
and I if you guys listen to the show. We
like to have fun. But I'm very serious about stuff.
(01:17:44):
But I want to have a conversation. I don't I'm
not interested in shouting or making fun of you or
any of that stuff. It doesn't do anybody any good.
And if you want to find a solution, if you
want to try to influence people, you do it by
talking to them. That's it. But people aren't interested in that.
(01:18:04):
In the algorithm, sure isn't. So, you know, is that
thing we talked about the other day with nuance. They
don't know how to monetize nuance. They don't know how
to monetize actually having critical thought. They know how to
monetize division and anger. That's easy, low hanging fruit, That's
(01:18:25):
what it is. Speaking of fruit, I'm kidding John Bolton.
Speaker 27 (01:18:30):
For the third time in three weeks, the Justice Department
pursuing criminal charges against one of President Trump's political enemies.
First it was former FBI director James Comy, then New
York State Attorney General Letitia James, now the President's former
national security advisor, turned outspoken critic John Bolton. Bolton indicted
(01:18:51):
by a federal grand jury on eighteen felony counts for
LED's illegal transmission and retention of classified documents.
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
Oh, is this one different? I've talked to buddy of
mine who's he's lawyer's just mostly constitutional stuff. And then
I saw Ty Cobb, who, if you don't know, he
is not the baseball player, he's dead. He's a big
time attorney. And I think he's on NBC. You seem
a lot might be on CNN. And both of them said,
(01:19:24):
almost the exact same thing. Is Komy's revenge? Yes, very little, tiny,
tiny bit of something that maybe you could go after,
but the chances are the evidence is so small that
it would just fall apart. So that's why they didn't
(01:19:47):
prosecute Letitia James. All of them said, no case here,
what are you guys doing. Bolton's a different story. Bolton
is absolutely a different story. And the reason people say, well,
you know it has to be because Biden dropped the
chargers or they didn't drop the charges, but they decided
(01:20:09):
not to pursue anything.
Speaker 29 (01:20:13):
On this.
Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
And then you read deeper and you go into it
much deeper because a lot of it was you know,
the people are saying, well, it was in his book,
and you're like, hold on a second, he had a book.
Speaker 28 (01:20:27):
Within this indictment, it says that none of the eighteen
counts in the indictment are associated with information that came.
Speaker 25 (01:20:33):
Out from the memoir.
Speaker 28 (01:20:34):
Instead, it's about information that was allegedly sent to two
individuals with his family, as well as this alleged league
that Iran might have picked up.
Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
Oh well, that's different and the book thing. I said, Look,
it can't be in his book, and they're like, well
it can be. Well no, because to if you work
in government at a certain level, you have to have
everything approved by the government before you can put it
in your memoirs in a book. And I'm not talking
about if you're a child talking about overcoming whatever you overcame.
(01:21:02):
I'm talking about the work that you're doing at this level.
You have to have it approved. It goes through lawyer
after lawyer after and they're going to take some stuff out, this, that,
and the other. The reason that Biden didn't pursue it
is because some of the methods of which they got
information Bolton knows about and that could come out, and
so that's something they didn't want to pursue. But there
(01:21:25):
is more here than the other two. While it may
be revenged guse it is, doesn't mean there isn't merit
to this case specifically. So we'll see what happens and
who's next on the list. People are saying it's Hillary.
He's not going after Hillary. He's not Hillary is one
thing I don't think Trump is interested in. She was
(01:21:46):
an opponent. They're ready to move on. This is different.
This is different. He's going after people who he feels
wronged him. And you can say he's not, but come on,
we're not foolish. We understand. We do. Today. Zelensky's gonna
be in town. Yesterday Trump and the Pooter chatted for
(01:22:11):
two hours, going to meet in Hungary supposedly in the
coming weeks. Trump thinks that that there's gonna they can
get something done.
Speaker 23 (01:22:20):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
One of the big things is Zelensky come in here today.
He wants tomahawks.
Speaker 11 (01:22:25):
It comes as we know that Zelensky has been asking
Trump for those powerful Tomahawk missiles capable of striking deep
inside of Russia. And in fact, that's something that President
Trump said he discussed with Putin during a phone call
they had yesterday that lasted.
Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
Over two hours. Tomahawks he wants those tomahawks. Willie get him?
I don't know, but he said Putin wasn't thrilled by
him getting tomahawks. We talked to Mike Lionster, a military expert,
this week, and he said Putin is trying to get
up what a million and a half to two million
people conscripts ready to go again. That doesn't sound like
(01:23:02):
he's given it up the ghost and a lot of
people think it is Trump getting played again. I fool
me once, Shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
There won't be a third time. So we'll see where
this goes, and we'll see if they meet. Two weeks
is a lot of time in Trump world, and we'll
see how the meeting goes. Today. I would like to
think they could be getting towards some and Trump really
(01:23:23):
thought the relationship they had would have made this easier
and it hasn't. And much like what is happening with
in Israel and what has happened in the past in Israel,
the population seems to kind of want to be over
with it. It is the powers that be around Pooter,
(01:23:46):
much like in Israel, that want this thing to continue,
so we'll see what it looks like when all is
said and done. Venezuela. We've talked about it throughout the day.
Do I think at some point time we're going to
be going in there? Yes, we hit another boat today.
There was some survivor or two. Not quite sure. This
(01:24:06):
is going to be a very tense weekend and it's
going to continue to be so in the coming days.
You don't move all of the power that you have
in a region to a certain area and not do
something Maduro has. You know, he's tried to reason, He's
tried to do certain things that you know, this administration
isn't thrilled with. The Only thing they want him to
(01:24:30):
do is leave. And uh, I think they're ready to
try the regime change. Maduro. We're not you welcome long
time ago, and it's time to get rid of you.
So that's what I think Trump is thinking. We'll find out,
but there's no doubt that feels like there's some stuff
potentially going down. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty

Let me tell you about Prize Picks. Okay, it is
simple and easy, it's fun, it's a great way to
experience the game. But it's also an amazing way for
you to use the knowledge that you have when it
comes to sports and players and take that knowledge and
(01:25:13):
turn it into money. Prize Picks is simple to play.
You pick more or less on at least two player stats.
If your pick is right, you can cash it up
two thousand times your money. So they've got opportunities every
day to and you don't have to just stay in
a sport. You know, I'm staying just football or baseball,
or hockey, or soccer, slash football or basketball. You can
(01:25:36):
go across the sports, whatever it is. So they've got
a great one right now for Steph Curry. Right they
take on the Lakers twenty first. Do you think he
is going to score more than half a point? There's
probably a yes on that one. So there's one of
your lineup. Pick now, pick another one, could be football,
could be baseball, whatever it is. Again, more or less,
that's all you're picking on the stats. And here's a
(01:25:57):
great thing. When you use my co chat, when you
download the app, immediately you get fifty dollars in lineups
right into your account. Win or lose on your first
five dollars lineup. That's simple. Use co Chad when you
download the app, get fifty dollars in lineups after you
play your first five dollars lineup. So download the app today.
Make sure you use my co Chad price picks. It's
good to be right, Chad Benson.

(01:29:30):
we're talking about Israel and Hamas and people are worried
that it's starting up again. Trump again said, hey, do
we just have to let Israel go in there and
do this, because we will if you guys aren't going
to disarm. This isn't going to be a simple thing.
I told everybody that celebrate on Monday, get to real
(01:29:51):
work on Tuesday. And there is going to be ebbs
and flows. There's going to be times when it's looking ugly,
like right now, in times when there's going to be peace.
But this is a process that will take a long while.
Speaker 30 (01:30:06):
Today Israel is due to open the Rafa crossing in
the south to allow people to people to move, particularly
sick people to get out of Gaza for treatment. But
there's no expectation, and they've said they will not allow
more aid in through raffas, So for now there is
still only quite limited aid getting in. And we are
hearing from some report, hearing some reports that people in
(01:30:27):
Gaza are still stockpiling food because many of them fear
that ultimately this conflict could still resume.
Speaker 2 (01:30:34):
Yeah, and it's going to There's going to be times
that it resumes. There's going to be fighting. You also
have several militia groups over there that are fighting with
the mass. So this is going to be a long process,
but a process that's necessary if there's ever going to
be peace coming up. Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute, a Public
policy research joins the program. We still have our scary
movie count down number eleven today. I think you're going
(01:30:55):
to find this one terrifying. This is the Jet Benson Show, Fun.
Speaker 1 (01:30:59):
Chef Benson Show, the Chad Benson Show, And is that
(01:31:23):
time of the week.
Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
We talk to our good buddy, Jim Kennedy, Kennedy's head
at Public Ball. Let's see race starts were talking about politics,
pop culture and all the other things going on in
the world. Jim, I'm gonna hit it straight out of
the park early with you. There's a no Kings protest.
Are you going? And what do you think of Kings?
Speaker 31 (01:31:40):
I will not be going because I don't understand why
all these people across America hate the La Kings. I
think they're a great hockey club. They've won multiple Stanley Cups,
but for some reason a lot of people seem to
hate them. But no, on a serious note, no, I'm
not going. Generally where I live. There is one at
the corner down the street from where I live. It's
a very popular corner or two major streets come together,
(01:32:02):
and I would not be surprised comes Saturday there will
be the There will be a protest on one side,
and there might be a counter protest on the other side.
Speaker 25 (01:32:11):
So maybe I will go down there and and check
that out.
Speaker 31 (01:32:13):
Though the other side of the street is now mostly
occupied by a pumpkin fair you know, you know, Halloween
carnival camp, so I'm not sure how much room they're
going to have over on the other side where they
people tend to tend to stand up or tend to
you know, kind of get together, so it'll be interesting
to see how it's how it goes. But yeah, you
know what I'm I think I'm real curious about you know,
(01:32:34):
I've kind of gone back and forth and on, you know,
I'm texting on this is who's backing this thing? That
that That's what I want to know, because this is
a very very well organized effort. They've been going at
it for probably three or three weeks or a month.
They got people like George Conway making videos for them
publicizing this. This isn't just some sort of you know,
grassroots type of thing. This has been well organized and
(01:32:56):
there's got to be lots and lots of money being
thrown at him. And I'd like to know who because
I would have a hunchd some of these people may
not have America's best interest at heart that are funding
this operation.
Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
No, I think you're right about. Well, you know what's funny. Somebody,
somebody just emailed me a little while ago and he's
we've gone back and forth, and he's like, we need
to arrest all the people that are funding this, and
I'm like, well, hold on a second here. First of all,
some being a person who funds a nonprofit, if you're
funding them to cause chaos, that's one thing. If you're
funding them because you want them to stand up to
(01:33:29):
the current government. That's free speech. So we have to
we have to draw a little bit finer line between
let's go get Soros and Christy Walton's one of them,
and and and and you know, let's throw them into
prison because no, let's let's find out who's funding it
and who wants to have anarchy and who is funding
this because they believe that this current administration and and
(01:33:52):
and you know what, dude, it's not just about this
current administration. A lot of it's about the tech oligarchs
and the billionaires as well. So let's find out who's
funding it if there is a reason for it, rather
than let's just go after them.
Speaker 25 (01:34:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 31 (01:34:06):
No, absolutely agree, and then they have you know, everyone there.
I was numerous in the last couple of days, numerous
Twitter conversation for some reasons.
Speaker 25 (01:34:14):
One of those things, I started responding to stuff.
Speaker 31 (01:34:16):
You know, you're out, you know, the algorithm gets you,
and it just starts filling your feed with more of
these non king no king protests and tweets about them
and stuff. I'm going to look, you know, they go like, oh,
you know, the right, the right's scared. No, no one
I mean, on my side, I know it's scared of
these things. If you want to do something in public
that's embarrassing because we don't really have a king. And
(01:34:36):
you know why we don't have a king, because the
king wouldn't let you protest him for three weeks in planning.
They would shut the thing down. Yeah, so that's kind
of one of.
Speaker 25 (01:34:44):
The biggest ways to know that we don't really have
a king. And so now, I don't you know, if
you guys want to go.
Speaker 31 (01:34:50):
Out there and larp around like you're somehow saving America
from the big, evil, scary man in the White House,
God bless you.
Speaker 25 (01:34:56):
You have the right to do that.
Speaker 31 (01:34:58):
I just don't necessarily think you should probably execute that
right when you're not really protest for anything that is real.
It is something that has been put into your mind
by some sort of outside source and you've bought into it,
and maybe you're looking for a group to latch onto
because you're a lonely person or something. But you know,
God bless you have that right to do that, and
you're welcome to do it, but I'm just not sure
(01:35:19):
that you really should be doing it. No one I
know is scared of these or concerned. It's to me,
and I'm just almost I feel bad for them because
they've obviously been roped into something that doesn't really exist.
Speaker 25 (01:35:30):
As far as I know.
Speaker 2 (01:35:31):
No, I mean, it's you're absolutely it doesn't exist. Do
I understand?
Speaker 27 (01:35:37):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
And I was trying to tell people this today, and
it's hard because in the local show people can you
don't even understand? Look around the globe. Did you just
see what happened in Madagascar, the gen Z? Did you
see what's happening in parts of South America? Gen Z
and Peru? The gen Z isn't happy life two damn expensive, Jim.
They'd look at around and they see what they're seeing
is the wealth gap. It's not the oh, the wealthy
(01:36:02):
shouldn't have any money. The gap is getting so big
that even doing well doesn't seem to be doing anything
for them. And they're frustrated. And you and I both
know if the young are pissed, angry and frustrated, they
can do stuff that makes a lot of people uncomfortable
and can lead to change.
Speaker 25 (01:36:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 31 (01:36:20):
Well, generally, the people that start revolutions aren't sixty year olds.
They are twenty year olds. They are students, they are
people that are young, that have no jobs and have
no future, and they have basically no real other use
for their time. You know, Idol Hadden's are the work
of the Devil type of thing where basically they can
all get together and not really miss out on much,
you know, on their job or anything. Fifty year olds
(01:36:43):
have jobs, forty year olds have jobs, thirty year olds
have jobs. Twenty year olds oftentimes don't have jobs, and
they don't really have careers at that point. For the
most part, they do have a job, it's basically maybe
it's a transitory job. So yeah, that for revolution, sorry
you look at I mean, I think of the Iranian revolution.
I think of the people that tried the revolution in
China Tenam and Square. Those were all students, those were
all young people. And that's generally where those types of
(01:37:04):
you know, movements come from. And so yeah, absolutely that
is you know, and gen Z isn't happy, and you know,
basically we're looking at probably for the first time in
America and I don't know if you want to say,
one hundred and twenty one hundred and forty years where
this generation may not do better than their parents. And
like I said, that's probably been one hundred and forty
years since we've seen that situation in America, and that's
(01:37:25):
why they're upset, and that's why there's lots of people
that will be out there, Margie, for maybe things other
than thinking that President Trump.
Speaker 25 (01:37:31):
Is a king.
Speaker 2 (01:37:32):
Yeah, and he's not a king. I hope everybody understands that.
Tell you, Jim Kennedy. Kennedy answerdue to public policy research,
though he is acting a little bit war mongery when
it comes to Venezuela. I thought he was supposed to
be getting his out of war. But I've been saying
it for a while, Jim, We're going into Venezuela in
some white shape or form. He said yesterday. We're going
into Venezuela and some white shape or form.
Speaker 25 (01:37:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 31 (01:37:52):
I love the fact that he that he's telling that
he's telling the public what he's telling the CIA to do,
because I'm not really sure that CIAA is all thrilled
having that happen, assuming that he's actually telling the truth
and he's not making this up just to play a
game on it. I don't know if he's hoping by
saying that we're going after Venezuela enough times that he
thinks an internal dissent within Venezuela will lead to some
(01:38:14):
sort of a revolution.
Speaker 25 (01:38:15):
Maybe again, you know, led by young people.
Speaker 31 (01:38:18):
Maybe the peace prize that the woman just got last
week will be enough to kind of think that there's
enough to rally around and it's time for them to
take their country back. Or if he really is serious
and we're gonna start launching stuff, you know, we're gonna
launch a military action against the country, They're really gonna
have a hard time explaining to the rest of the
world why we're attacking because we really don't have all
(01:38:38):
that good of reasons for it.
Speaker 25 (01:38:41):
It's not like they've attacked us. It's not like we
shore our border with them.
Speaker 31 (01:38:45):
Yeah, we've got some drug problems, but you know, if
you've said many times, they're not by by far, not
anywhere near the top of the list for drugs. We
probably have a number of illegal aliens from there, but
again they're probably not the top supplier of you know,
of migrants are legal to America. So yeah, I don't
really know why we really need to go to war
with Venezuela. If we choose to do so, I'm sure
(01:39:06):
it won't be a very law of walks. They don't
really have much of a much of an air force,
let alone anything else that they can really defend with.
But the point is it's got to be reem regime change.
And you know, as you've said before, we don't always
get these things right when we.
Speaker 25 (01:39:20):
Do these regime changes.
Speaker 31 (01:39:21):
And I hope they certainly have some sort of liaison
with either the lady that's the Peace Prize winner if
she's supposed to be forming a new government, or if
they have somebody who's picked out and at least some
sort of you know, cabinet officials that they picked out
that would be the people that are going to be
you know, leading this new Venezuela if it does happen,
Because the worst thing you can do is, we've seen
many times you go down there and you destabilize the
(01:39:44):
country and you don't either have a person or you
don't have a competent person to take over, and then
you got a mess and you get somebody worse than
you had in there before, and you got a larger
problem than you started with.
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Talking to Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of Public Policy Research,
we talk about, you know, stuff like politics and whatnot. Man,
I'm gonna be honest with you. The Mandanni thing is
very interesting. So I didn't see much. I heard some
of it, didn't see much of the debate. He's going
to be the next mayor of New York City. I
(01:40:17):
understand the appeal for people who are frustrated, angular just
like we're talking about the young kids who are you know,
the twenty somethings who are pissed and angry. But you
got a lot of people in New York who look
around and go, you know, we're working a lot of hours,
so I can live in a one bedroom, no bath
apartment for twenty eight thousand dollars a month, it seems like.
And this guy's telling us he can do something else, Well,
(01:40:39):
maybe we should give him a shot. He's doing the
same thing Trump did. Just the only thing is the
way that he's what he's talking about is different. But
the playbook's the same.
Speaker 25 (01:40:50):
Yeah, for the most part, he's.
Speaker 31 (01:40:51):
Going to I mean basically, he's he's he trying to
be a populist and he's starting out to be very popular. Yeah,
there was nothing in that debate from what I've read
on it, that would indicate that there's going to be
any change in the polling, any drastic change in the polling.
There were no great missteps, there were no great full pause,
and evidently whenever the candidates didn't try to engage each other,
they got shut down within thirty seconds by the moderators
(01:41:12):
who wanted to push on with their agenda list of questions.
So it didn't really go anywhere as far as you know,
being able to get a gotcha moment. And the only
one that I saw was was was Mandami and Coomo
was basically saying he's got no experience. All he's ever
done has been an intern for his mother's production company.
And but DAMMI had a pretty good comeback with him.
It's like, look, I'm not the guy that put old
(01:41:33):
people into the uh you know that killed all the
old people in COVID. And I have integrity and you don't.
And I'll trade my integrity for your experience every day,
and I hope the voters of New York will too.
And just like, well, I don't necessarily agree with him,
that's a pretty darn good answer. And I think that
he pretty much shut down Cuomo right there. So yeah,
I think he is going to be the next mayor
(01:41:53):
and what happened. We were talking a little bit about
this before we you know, before or I wait for
the segment and you know, it'll be interest to see
what happens to him that what he wants to do
he can actually do. He's obviously not gonna be able
to defund the police. Whether you can set up his
bodega plan, I doubta. That's a hugely expensive type of thing.
Gonna need a lot of money up front to get
that going. And the team doesn't realize it just really silly.
(01:42:15):
Is of all of the businesses that exist, supermarket is
one of the lowest margin businesses in the world. If
you're making three to four percent as a supermarket chain
on your sales, you're doing good or great. Okay, it's
a very low margin business where you make the money
as you make it on because you're getting fifty billion
dollars of revenue coming through and three percent of that is.
Speaker 25 (01:42:36):
A nice is a nice amount of change.
Speaker 31 (01:42:38):
But he's but they're not gonna be able to cut margin,
major amounts of costs out of the bodega system by basically,
you know, by getting bye by making it a public
market system. So I don't really know how far he's
going to go on these things, but yeah, it's it'll
be interesting to see what happens.
Speaker 25 (01:42:52):
It could be an interesting test case.
Speaker 31 (01:42:54):
And then again, it could go very wrong for him
in the sense that he will able to get nothing
done and all he'll do is fight, and then his
supporters will be coming after him going, hey, you promise
this and you haven't delivered.
Speaker 25 (01:43:04):
So what's going on here?
Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Let's talk really quick thoughs, being of California gavin Ism
Prop fifty, give us the latest on that.
Speaker 25 (01:43:11):
It's not looking good at this point.
Speaker 31 (01:43:13):
We're three weeks out and I'm not confident that it's
going to get beedback. It may win with a lower
margin than you normally see in a statewide election, which
is generally sixty forty. It may win like fifty five
to forty five, But right now it's looking like it's
going to be a solid pass unless i'm sort of
grassroots organization starts getting the no vote out in large
and larger and larger numbers.
Speaker 2 (01:43:34):

Speaker 2 (01:45:36):
As we wrap up the show today 'ron to number
eleven our Scary Movie countdown, and this one is awesome.
In fact, Science says it's the second scariest movie when
it comes to your heart rate anxiety. There is what.
Let's get to it.

The time has come, so prepare yourself for a journey
of it. From the darkest corner of cinema, the most
bone chilling tales ever told. It's the countdown you've been
waiting for. Which movie will take the top spot. You'll
have to listen to find out.

Are you ready? Number eleven? All right? Number eleven. This
movie is creepy, amazing, and according to science, so the
second scariest movie. This is all based in science, but
it's also based on the fact that I've seen it
and it is creepy. Af resting heart rate average sixty four,
(01:46:38):
movie heart rate eighty eight, twenty four percent difference they
talk about this, and this is that they've ranked these
things based on this highest spike one hundred and thirty
total score of ninety five. When it comes to fear,
based on your body and their anxiety and your heart rate,
(01:46:58):
that's how creepy. This movie is based on a prank
that the director did on some of his friends during
the pandemic. He decided after it kind of went viral,
this little prank, Hey, why don't we do a movie
about it? And that's exactly what they did. Number eleven
on the Scary Movie Countdown host Have you ever done anything.
Speaker 26 (01:47:20):
Like this before?
Speaker 24 (01:47:21):
I've never done this prover zoom. Obviously we're not physically together,
but there's no reason why that it can't communicate over
the internet.
Speaker 14 (01:47:31):
Nothing is going to happen.
Speaker 24 (01:47:32):

Speaker 25 (01:47:49):
We got to talk to it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:51):
Yes, it's not good.
Speaker 24 (01:47:56):
I told you not to disrespect that.
Speaker 2 (01:48:08):
It is terrifying. It's only fifty six minutes long. Based
around the pandemic separation. They do a seance everybody on
Zoom and then something comes and gets them one by one.
All of the actors were directed by Zoom. They were
all given the effects they needed mailed to them and
they had to handle everything on their own. It is
(01:48:30):
so creepy, scary, and it's only like fifty six minutes long.
